I was legit disappointed in ep 1. Their marketing strategy needs improvement. Like why put all the male characters on the main poster, implying there aren't any female charas when there are?? (or maybe cause they'll all die in the next ep) Nonetheless, ep 1 wasn't interesting story wise. Just pretty. :/

I cant even agree on the pretty, tbh.I feel like they go way overboard on the filters, The scene composition and change is kinda off for me, character movenment was weird as fuck (ep01 starts with a guy walking but the way he walked was too strange) and finally character design was also not something that pleased me, with the small bodies, huge eyes and bigger tits

Are they leaving it behind? I think there are around four movies out or something, but no one has translated so i dunno what those are about (if prequels, remakes or sequels to K). But y6eah, no idea why handshakers was chosen to get a sequel

Seems so, the staring expo dialogue goes off about people needing to hold hands to get Gods to grant their wishes, and /a/ said MC is the son of Handshakers protag and W’z happens 10 years after handshakers. I tried watching it (W’z) on its own merit but gave up half way

WELP. I can now safely accept that Kproject was only a decent success because GoRA were decent writers. Rewatched s1 again recently and it was still a great watch. The shows writing and the episode directing worked together harmoniously to develop a good story with likeable cast.

I have not seen a single show by GoHands since Kproject that has done that kind of story building and character writing since then. Coppelion was bland. Handshaker was took the worst parts of K Project and tried to make a show entirely out of it. And if W'z is anything like Handshaker, I will no longer be able to hold GoHands in high regards as studio. I want good story and characters, not just polished animation. And plz stop making EVERYONE look like they are 12-15 orz

Coppelion was so bland I forgot it existed (unless its not a Gohands original). Not just good story and characters, but decent scene composition, scene editing and character design. I dont think I even reached the part where the plot of Handshakers got explained: the excessive filters, annoying character design (everyone looks 10 years younger, big eyes and bigger, bouncing balloon tits) and oh right the scene where a very young little girl was being washed put me off and it seemed i didnt miss out on anything. The character designs on W’z seem to follow Handshakers rather than K, and the rest that bothered me (scene stuff and filters) continues to be the same
