Knight!Winter is always by your side no matter what. They'll stand guard until late at night, when the night guard takes over and they hesitantly give up their place in front of your room till the morning.

Knight!Winter who seems to barely ever take breaks from guarding you. Sometimes you're not even sure if they sleep at night since they're always there when you close your door and night and wake up in the morning.

Knight!Winter who is dedicated to their job. Wherever you might be, they are following close behind. That was until you ordered them to take off their armor, to which they looked at you, confused.

Poor Winter was so confused as you asked them to take off their armor, which normally they would decline to, you pulled out the 'It's an order!' card. Then they obliged. It was odd for you to drag them off with you to have a 'fun day', whatever that meant.

It was a quiet ride to god knows where and Winter had insisted on bringing along their sword in case then needed it. You on the other hand had brought a bag along with you with... something. Winter had no clue what you were planning and all it did was make them more confused when you got out at your destination. A.. beach?? How had they not known of something so close by. Or maybe it was a long way off and they just hadn't realized it.

" Winter, please put on the swimsuit so we can go swimming! " You said, grabbing out the swimsuit from your bag and extending it towards them.

" I'd- rather keep my usual clothes on. Thank you though. " Winter pushed your hands back towards you and you furrowed your brow, sighing.

" This was meant to be a nice break for you. It's practically empty so there's nothing to worry about! " You gestured towards the empty sand, a few people could be spotted in the distance and in the water. " Pleaseee? I'm going to put one on too, you know! "

You heard them sigh as they took the swimsuit out of your hands. " Where's the changing room? " You clapped your hands, excited, before leading them towards the small huts on the sand where there were bathrooms available.

It was 100% your plan to get Winter to have a 'day off' although, you know you couldn't ever get them a real day off with how reluctant they'd be to do so. Their job was to protect you and if you wanted to go to the beach, so be it. It'll still be their job to protect you there no matter how much you tell them to relax just for the couple hours that you two will be there.

I'm so glad you like my idea for her event! I'm having a lot of fun thinking/making it, and I'm very excited to start it!

I have thought about the event a little bit more after my last message to you, and have come up with a name for the event!

Breakaway Beauty: For True Love's Cure!

I want the event to feel like an actual event that would happen in game, so I've been thinking over what the title would be and the general synopsis of the event (so kind of like the notices we'd get in game letting us know an event is coming up and giving us an idea of what it will be like!)

Your mentioning of Crowley has also helped me come up with a better idea for how the boys get involved, so thank you for that! Like you said, I'm sure Ruthie would butter up to Crowley to get them to come. So I was thinking: What if Crowley selected some of the boys and told them they were going on an important mission to break a curse, leaving out the fact that they would be matched up with/considered eligible love interests to the person cursed? With them only finding out once they arrive at the castle?

That way they accepted/went there willingly, only to be caught off guard when they learn the truth (so hijinks! lol)

I do want this event to be more fun/light hearted, so there will be funny moments and such! It will be very fun!! (Especially with Ruthie's UM and it's limitations lol)

I still haven't decided exactly what characters I wanna include, but I do know I want Leona, Kalim, and Cater at least! Leona cause I think his reaction to the whole thing would be interesting, Kalim because I think he'd get along well with Ruthie and be nice about the whole situation, and Cater since I'm curious about him now and because of your suggestion!

I also think I might include Malleus, as I think him and Ruthie would get along well, and I just love the idea of them being friends? Like Ruthie would be so sweet to him!

I was thinking of including Idia (due to my biases and because I think his reaction to Ruthie would be funny, like I honestly don't think he'd get along/be a fan of her due to her personality, and adding the fact she would try to play matchmaker for him? He would not be happy lol) but since he was a main character in the Phantom Bride event, I don't think I wanna include him, as this event is kind of similar in a sense.

Ahhhhh I absolutely love your idea of platonic love being the thing that breaks the curse!! That is such a sweet idea! Especially since her friend isn't really that into romance, her main reason for wanting to break her curse is to be able to go out and see the world, leaving her seclusion (she doesn't really tell Ruthie this, as she knows how hard Ruthie has tried to break her curse, and doesn't really have the heart to tell her that she doesn't really want a "true love", as she prefers her books instead)

I honestly might end up making my second blog sooner than I thought, just cause I'm having so much fun bringing Ruthie to life! And because I would love to talk with/meet more people that have Twst OC's! (Perhaps some new friends for Ruthie?)

Speaking of OC's and friends....do you think any of your OC's would be friends with Ruthie? 👉👈 (my first time using emojis!)

Hi! :) Just wanted to say I finally got around to watching Bates Motel (finished season 4 today, so, a whole more season to go) and oh my goodness, I am BLOWN to pieces already. I think the last couple of episodes of season 4 will stay with me forever, Norman going full on insane and poisoning Norma, Romero's grief, the funeral scene and then, of course, the final one with the... body and Chritmas hallucinations. I just sat there for whole twenty minutes in total shock after the credits and cried. It was so nerve wrecking, devastating, sad and horrifying at the same time, and the acting and emotions are just PHENOMENAL. I don't think I'm quite ready for season 5, to be honest, but I already want to rewatch the whole show later. Um, I hope it's okay to talk to you about this. I remembered you said you loved Bates Motel and I want to say this again, YOUR TASTE ROCKS. I see why it left such a huge impact on you and I feel like it's already left an impact on me too. CHILLS. I love this, and I hate this, because the show is so beautifully made and the atmosphere is just... chef's kiss, I loved how many emotions it made me feel but god is it terrifying. P.S. After I'm finished get ready to me reblogging a whole bunch of Bates Motel content from your blog, because 1) I'm wrecked and 2) I've always loved YOUR posts and analysis, and I really want to know your thoughts. hello my darling!!! it is ALWAYS okay to talk to me about things, and ahhhhh i love being able to share them. SO SPOOKY BECAUSE I WAS THINKING ABOUT BATES MOTEL THIS MORNING. (i still have not finished it. three episodes to go and i keep holding onto them...inexplicable behavior.) instead of finishing it, i looped back around and was rewatching it, and i need to go back to that.

the last two episodes of S4, i feel like i could write copious essays about them. they're just some of the most masterful television i've ever seen. every adjective you used: nerve-wracking, devastating, horrifying. tragic and yet rendered with such poignancy. the scene of norman quietly, deliberately walking through the hushed house, closing the vents, the eerie strains of mr. sandman playing over it, the flame of the pilot light, shots of the empty rooms already haunted, is on my list of top searing images rendered in a show. and it's so, so much more effective and impactful that what he's doing isn't out of rage or hatred, but out of a terribly warped sense of love, dedication, and protection. he isn't trying to destroy her because he hates her, because he feels suffocated by her, but because he's so lost that he believes they're too broken, he believes this will give them peace and reunion. it wouldn't be nearly as moving if he were acting out of anything but that distorted love. then his eulogy. the graveyard. the house and motel transforming for christmas. it's kind of a perfect distillation of modern gothic horror, because it's gruesome and cataclysmic, but somehow beautiful. and oh, alex romero. his searing agonizing grief and his mad rage. what really crushes me is both of these men, though they proclaim love and devotion to her, never entirely view norma as her own autonomous being - norma is always filtered through their needs and desires, their idealizations of her, the pedestals they want to put her on, the dreams they have of and for her. norma, in the entirety of who she is, only exists for us. the audience. we see her, and know her, in her whole self, with her agency, apart from the various men circling her, using her, wanting things from her, and there's nothing we can do to save her. we know going in that the basement awaits. the show's greatest magic trick is in getting us to sympathize and fall in love with her so that the impact of wrenching her away is still shocking and unfair. i sat in numb silence and shock after the end of 4x09, and wept after 4x10.

I remembered you said you loved Bates Motel and I want to say this again, YOUR TASTE ROCKS. 🥺😭💔💖 thank you so much, this makes me so happy (can we say that in this context?!) and is an honor.

P.P.S. Dylan and Emma are my darlings, they are so sweet together my heart melts, I love them and worry about them :( something that took me quite by surprise was how much i grew to care about and empathize with both dylan and romero (emma's a sweetie from the beginning!), you wouldn't necessarily expect it, and yet the show did such a phenomenal job of building each character's depth and humanity, and really exploring the layers to them, why they do what they do, without the need to vilify them (the same being most prominently true of norma and norman themselves), and i respect that writing immensely, even when it's difficult and terrifying, it never forgets the human element.

#i'm positive i have a post someone wrote about the care with which the writers approached these characters #without the need to shame or moralize or vilify even when they do reprehensible things #and how that makes their world feel much more textured and nuanced and lived in and ultimately human #so that we can feel sympathy for all of them in that darkness and through their misdeeds and struggles #it's just really profound and captivating writing and GETS IT it gets the point so well and in a way i've never seen anything else quite do #snowstormserenade #letterbox #bates motel #i say 'i was just thinking about bates motel this morning' as if i don't think about norma all the time #but i was thinking of it in a more vivid way

You know a fic is gonna be good when the summary makes you crack up lol. But holy shit andi i just read your in the closet fic and wow. That was soooo good. Like the intimate moments were so beautiful and heartfelt but that little bit of tension when they were actually in the closet felt so real too. I don’t know if you meant it as just a throwaway bit of very obvious foreshadowing, but your little aside when the one way sign fell down really hit me. Perfect little inclusion there. Thank you for your gifts and sharing your stories with us!!

ahhhhh tysm!!!! honestly that fic was so much fun and just a silly little concept, but i do love getting to throw in those moments of tension and heart-to-hearts :) i had a lot of fun with it.

and THE ONE WAY SIGN FALLING WAS MY FAVORITE PART. LOOK. OK. see, like i imagined will seeing that thing every day when he and mike lived in the room together, and the sign is in tact, representing first both will and mike being in the closet, then mike being in the closet even after will comes out. and then when will sees it first when they were in the room, he notices it's kind of scratched up and beginning to fall—meant to symbolize how mike is coming to terms with his sexuality and allowing himself to grow closer to will. and then just the final nail in the coffin when they leave the wheelers' home for what i picture is the last time was the sign falling upside down and facing away from the closet—to show mike's acceptance of himself.

(i didn't make it really obvious in the fic since it was will's pov, but from mike's pov, when they're trapped in there together and thinking they're gonna die, he's like. realizing he needs to just be brave, just admit he loves will, and even maybe even kiss will because legit they're going to die? and he wishes he had done it sooner? so yeah um poor will was the definition of Confused and mike was having a gay crisis)

ok let's do this!! i'm missing MANY great scenes in this short list though ahhhhh

when andre first meets abigail and she's so nervous and doesn't know what to expect, but he tries hard to make her comfortable and show her she doesn't need to be afraid... ugh look i know i love to shit on andre for being a hoe, but the fact that he's explicitly shown to have a positive and purely platonic relationship with a woman really makes me love him lol.

the scene where peggy's father corners him and the follow-up scene with her in the garden!! it's the first time we get any backstory for andre, and it's also the first time he is vulnerable and lets someone else meaningfully connect with him. i rambled about this a ton in another post on here lol but andre puts up a lot of fronts and peggy is the only one who's able to see through them - because she does the exact same thing alsdjsk. they're such interesting parallels to each other and i love them.

every time andre talks to robert townsend LOL. i honestly love their relationship - partly because it's hilarious (robert: um no i don't have any "woman troubles" i'm literally gay), but partly because andre is interestingly honest with robert considering they hardly know each other... it's like his love for peggy is eating away at him and he has to talk about it with SOMEONE, but he can't trust anyone so he chooses a random bartender lol.

the shakespeare scene, just because it's so silly but the follow-up bit with peggy is so fun and dramatic! my nerdy ass is obsessed with the fact that they're literally flirting/fighting/whatever the hell they're doing in shakespeare metaphors, but also. the way he looks at her after she walks away will live rent free in my brain forever. what a dork. what a hoe.

the entirety of s3e9 and 10, but especially andre's goodbye to abigail and the moment when he sees peggy in the crowd. i can't even get into these scenes without getting all emo, so i shan't!
