I’ve seen a lot of posts about the Batfam wearing the others merch recently

So I would like to add for consideration- the ultimate act of acknowledgment from Tim is him adding a sticker of your hero identity on his skateboard (list based roughly in the order he would have met them)

Prior to becoming Robin his skateboard only had stickers of the Batman, Nightwing, Robin, & Batgirl symbols (either NW Dick + R Jason or both for Dick idk if he would but you can’t tell me Dick’s biggest fan wouldn’t have at least consider it lol)

Then he becomes Robin and he slowly starts adding on to it

Oracle & Huntress get stickers added on super quick after their introductions though at the time he might have needed to custom make Oracle’s- maybe Huntress’s as well?

Spoiler hit him in the face with a brick when they first meet so even though he forgave her pretty quick it still takes him a moment to make/add her sticker on. (How long do vigilantes need to be on the scene before people start making merch, do y’all think?)

Impluse gets added on pretty quickly after Tim meets him. Superboy gets added on a while after their meeting because the two annoyed the HECK out of each other when they first met and Tim’s petty like that.

Tim was a bit suspicious when he first met Cass but AS SOON AS he gets over it he’s adding on a sticker. Like immediately.

While he meet Secret before the rest of YJ I’m not sure those meetings would have led him to making a sticker for her but once she joins the team I think he would.

Wonder Girl, Arrowette, & Empress like Impluse, gets their stickers added on pretty soon on after he meets them.

He later makes a custom one for Slobo.

Ray gets one too but not as quickly as the others & both Ray & Slobo get one quicker than Superboy did, relatively. It makes Superboy fume a bit lol in a way he didn’t with the girls lol.

Every time Red Hood is close to get his sticker added he does something that pushes the time table back lol. Sometimes Jason tried adding his own sticker but the skateboard is never where he can find it when he tries.

He added one for Batwoman, BlueBird, & The Question (Reene) because he thinks they’re cool (+ without even realizing that he also felt a communal pull to do so)

It took a bit of time after the whole “I left Gotham in search of Bruce who was lost in the time-stream” thing for things with Damian to settle. Tim added his Robin randomly without any fanfare and Damian pretended he doesn’t care (but he does obnoxiously brag about it when annoyed by Jason to bother him in return)

Tim was MIA & considered dead when Duke became Signal (if I’m recalling correctly) but Dick tells him about The Skateboard and when Tim comes back Dukes already ready and hands him a Signal symbol sticker. Tim is amused and immediately puts it on. Jason is frustrated.

When he starts working with Sparrow he makes one for her.

Also every time Nightwing changes his suit, a new sticker gets added on which makes everyone complain and say they should get more than one sticker if they’ve had more than one suit/super identity.

Tim responds by adding more Nightwing stickers

Freestyle Checkers: A Tim and Damian Special OR “How can we make talking to people a competition?”

They are sneaky. They are underhanded. They will do anything to win.

Originally, this was a ploy to get Bruce to ban them from the galas. Over the coming months, however, they begin to enjoy attending. A little too much.

Tim starts a conga line and convinces everyone on his team to join before marching them to Damian’s side.

Damian subtly moves the tables just an inch or two to the right all night until the whole room has switched seating arrangements.

After a particularly eventful game, Bruce now requires them both to empty their pockets and walk through a metal detector before entering the ballroom.

Tim uses his role as company heir to befriend everyone on his team and then introduce them to one another. He accidentally started a coup once.

Damian uses his puppy eyes to woo the guests into doing his bidding and avoid punishment.

He also sets fire to the curtains.

They are repeatedly caught giving death glares to each other from across the ballroom…but that’s normal. What’s not normal is the two giving death glares to a seemingly random guest at the same time. (She was only going to say hello to Maxine. Why does she feel like she’s in mortal danger?)

Tim spikes the punch with a hint of laxatives so everybody sticks to the bathrooms on Damian’s side.

Several games in, Damian finds a loophole in the rules. Even if the pieces can’t know they’re in a game, that doesn’t mean others can’t. He pays several catering staff to form a physical barrier between certain guests and places. Tim is livid and demands the loophole be written out.

Damian, after stealing a woman’s expensive watch: “Oh, I think I saw it at table seven! Here, let me take you there :)”

Tim makes a kid cry at table 20 so everyone will avoid that side of the room.

Tim: “To the left now, y’all! Left again! Right foot two stomps! Keep going left!”

Every other batfamily member has joined the game at least once, both as a piece AND as a player. On a particularly boring night, it was Tim v. Damian v. Steph v. Jason v. Duke. Every attendee was an unwilling participant. Including Bruce.

Damian is the reason death threats are no longer allowed for the game.

Tim: “Oh, you don’t want to talk to Nicole. Did you hear what she said about Leandra last night? The drama!”

Damian, tugging a guest’s arm: “Hey, is your blue Mercedes parked outside?” Guest: “Oh, hi sweetie :) Yes, why do you ask?” Damian: “It exploded.”

Damian studies the attendance sheet, makes a mental list of who eats what kind of dessert according to previous galas, then chooses all the guests who he knows like chocolate. Suddenly, there’s a surprise chocolate fountain on Tim’s side!

Tim studies the attendance sheet then figures out their addresses, hacks into their Facebook, stalks their Friends list, makes a chart of who is on good and bad terms, then chooses his team based on that.

Both of the above methods listed fail spectacularly

Damian: “So…I win.” Tim: “Damian, this is a hostage situation.” Damian: “But they’re lined up on your side. I win.” Tim: You know, I’m starting to think you set this up.”

He did.

During one particular night, a Wayne benefactor figures out what’s going on and tries to expose them so they team up, completely ruin his public reputation, and get him banned from all future galas to preserve the game.

No matter how hard he tries, Bruce cannot stop them from playing.

Nightwing has always been a favorite character of mine, but I mainly steered away from the Batfamily generally because Batman/Bruce isn’t a character I gravitate towards. Over the last year, though, I’ve watched/read a lot of the rest of the fam through different shows, Nightwing comics, Batgirls comics, and Wayne Family Adventures. Here is my definitive ranking of the Batfamily*:

Tier Seven: A Literal Murderer

10. Red Hood - Jason Todd

Y’all know he kills people right? Every other post I see about him on here is talking about him being a cinnamon roll or a perfect gentleman and it seems to get lost that he walks around shooting people with regularity. Doesn’t even seem particularly remorseful about it. I get that you died, man, but like half the heroes in DC have died at some point and they’re not filling people with lead. You’d think with all his money, Bruce could send his kids to see a therapist but I guess that’s a lot to ask of a man who processed his own grief and trauma by dressing up like a bat to fight thieves and muggers.

Tier Six: You Couldn’t Pay Me All of Bruce Wayne’s Money to Stay in a Room with Them for Five Minutes

9. Batman - Bruce Wayne

8. Red Robin - Tim Drake

I find both Bruce and Tim to be pretty insufferable. They’re smart but not smart enough to realize how to be smart without being a dick about it. Too clever for their own good and while they’re ranked higher here than Jason, I’d still much rather be in a room with Jason than either of them. Death would be welcomed if my alternative was having to listen to Bruce or Tim talk for more than fifteen seconds.

Tier Five: Need More Data Points

7. Signal - Duke Thomas

I basically only know Duke from WFA which is a fun series but doesn’t give me a ton to go off of big picture. Jury’s still out but I like his odds of not slipping.

Tier Four: Children Get Benefit of Doubt

6. Robin - Damian Wayne

Damian annoys me but in his defense, he is a literal child that was raised by assassins. He gets this spot because of extenuating circumstances and his relationships with Dick and Jon Kent.

Tier Three: The Batgirls

5. Spoiler - Steph Brown

4. Orphan - Cass Caín

3. Oracle - Barbara Gordon

I would be willing to die for any of these characters but they would never let that happen. Probably the most fluid tier. Have more connection to Babs because of my intro to the Batfamily primarily coming from Dick. Cass is second here largely because of her and Dick being perfect together in WFA. Steph lost the straw poll but could easily be third the next time I do this with little effort.

Tier Two: The Billionaire Butler

2. Alfred Pennyworth

The actual father figure of the Batfamily. Every ounce of every one of the Batfamily members success as actual humans is because of Alfred. Batman may have made them all good crime fighters, but Alfred made them good people. Alfred made them heroes.

Tier One: Boy Wonder

1. Nightwing - Dick Grayson

This was always going to be number one. It was never a question. Dick is my favorite superhero and quite possibly my favorite fictional character in general. He was never not winning this ranking.

(Basically, this is Au of what if Pecharunt won and recruited other Pecharunt that are the main antagonist, basically, other Aus Pecharunt. They are all the leaders of a new evil team for reasons I can’t disclose the name.)

(Also, this is just my imagination of what if all of these guys teamed up? Also, the leaders don’t have a ‘leader’ among them since they rotate being the leader but PV! Pecharunt is the leader most of the time since he was the one (I think) who trains the group, they all get along very well one another and arguments rarely happen, they are also a force to be reckoned with as they can all take down the Tao Trio with ease)

(Also, what they’re all saying are lyrics of ‘The Grand Finale by MOTI and Juno Songs, credits to them)

I LIKE TO THINK CANON KIERAN IS IN FETAL POSITION, HAVING A BREAKDOWN BECAUSE WHERE ARE THESE LITTLE GUYS COMING FROM???? HOW DO WE STOP THEM IF THERE ARE SO MANY OF THEM??

He's also secretly wondering what happens to Millie in each one, unaware that PV is really the only timeline that Millie exists in (theoretically)

He wants to keep his friends safe, that's for sure. Makes me wonder if PV!Pecha would see him and kinda antagonize him, vaguely hinting at possessing him in his own timeline. I coukd also see PV!Pecha leading them on, simply because it has a childlike arrogance to it. It would probably run the other Pechas like a clan (Think of Momotaro and the Edo Period)

Also I HAVEN'T HEARD THAT ONE YET, BUT ANOTHER JUNO SONGS FAN? HELL YES! Speaking of Mario, a lot of my stuff is inspired by BIS, which you esp already know

That being said, before Pecharunt's insides were revealed to us, I had thought abt making PV!Pecharunt looking like one of the bosses ftom BIS, or maybe the Dark Star, but could never visualize a design

i have so many feelings and thoughts about this latest episode of x men 97 -- spoilers under the cut

first, my favorite highlights/takeaways:

As usual, the dialogue is S-tier and this show is really good about putting the characters through dilemmas that have real stakes, and having the characters navigate those dilemmas in ways that both make sense for them and require them to move forward

Xavier is a confirmed bottom 😂 my man was ready to be a PET for this glamorous space lady

Loved that moment where Xavier literally takes the Shi’ar to class and starts SCHOOLING them 😂 he said “hold up I’m a teacher. lemme teach y’all something right now” 👨‍🏫

When talking about what he wanted to remember from Earth, he only mentioned Magneto, his “old friend” (YOU MEAN YOUR EX. YOUR SOULMATE. THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. C’MON CHARLES)

Speaking of Xavier x Magneto, when he finds out what happened to Magnus…😭 it was already heartbreaking seeing his reaction to Gambit's death

I’m certain the Shi’ar stuff is going to be the main conflict in Season Two or Three; Season One is gonna be focused on X-Men vs Sinister. Having this warmongering galactic empire on the brink of a coup that believes Earth is a “ghetto”, it’s not gonna turn out well for Earth.

I’m glad this episode confirmed that Sinister is behind the Genosha attack (though idk he might be working for someone else); writers sometimes keep their cards too close to their chest because they’re afraid that if they reveal their hand too soon, the audience will lose interest. But in my experience, it’s often more fun when the writers show you their hand and then use their cards to build a magnificent tower. Knowing who all the players are, their goals and motivations, and watching them duke it out is the stuff that drama is made of. It’s kind of like the Hitchcock principle of showing your audience the bomb under the table in order to raise suspense.

I’m REALLY happy that Storm is back, I missed her so much these past couple episodes! Aaah I’m a sucker for characters with weather powers, and hearing about the stuff Storm can do in the comics, I’m looking forward to seeing her use her abilities in a range of creative ways

Now for some analysis/ramblings!!

Storm and Xavier’s struggles mirror each other. Both characters are having to choose between comfort/happiness and duty/hardship.

Storm believes she’d be happier as a normal human. She could leave all her past troubles behind, build a new life with Forge. But that would be a betrayal of herself, her values, and her community. The Adversary’s line about Storm being afraid of living more than dying cuts deep. Storm was never afraid to put her life on the line to protect others. She literally took a bullet for Magneto. Her biggest fear is living her full truth, perhaps because her power is so great that it might alienate her from other people, even from her fellow mutants. As Magneto said (and I paraphrase), she is the closest thing to a goddess their world has ever seen.

And IIRC, part of Storm’s backstory involved her being worshiped/revered as a goddess or holy priestess. I think this past experience made Storm wary of embracing her full power because that kind of existence is lonely.

Honestly, as a black woman, Storm’s journey resonates so much. In real life, black women are often expected to be superhuman, the “strong black woman” who can shoulder her own burdens and everyone else’s. Storm suppressing her own powers for fear of being put on a pedestal as this flawless “queen” or “goddess” who can reliably solve everyone else’s problems? Yeah. That’s some real stuff. Storm, like everyone else, deserves to be vulnerable. To be protected and cared for instead of having to always protect and care for others.

But the expectation to be "strong" is something that Storm seems to have internalized; she didn't have to leave the X-Men when she lost her powers, but she left in part because she felt like she had to deal with her grief alone. And I hope that, even though she’s coming back to the X-Men with her powers fully realized, she’s able to rely on her friends for comfort. I also love that this series emphasizes her friendship with Jean, and I hope to see more of their dynamic going forward.

As for Xavier, he’s having to choose between life on his home planet, where he’s surrounded by family but having to deal with their “drama” plus the persecution of his community, and life among the stars, away from the troubles of Earth but still not accepted as a full person. Either way, he has to play the role of the teacher, the wise mentor who must guide others to the path of enlightened coexistence. It’s a tough burden to bear.

I’m not disabled, but it seems to me that the way Xavier is burdened with the responsibility of having to be a “role model” for others mirrors the way that society treats disabled people in real life. Again, I’m definitely out of my depth here and would love to hear disabled people’s thoughts on the matter, but it’s my understanding that society tends to dehumanize disabled people as either pitiable/contemptible burdens or admirable/brave warriors who can “rise above” their condition. Some of that seems to be baked into certain aspects of how Xavier was conceived as a character and the way he’s often framed by the narrative, but it looks like X Men 97 is aware of this and attempting to interrogate it a little.

Anyway, this episode was really great, a nice breather after the devastation of last week’s episode while still thematically rich and moving the story forward.

Found Some More Hatchetfield Lore!

I remembered that one of the Lang brothers said that Wiggly is based off of Cthulhu, so I decided to do something digging on a piece of shit author, H.P. Lovecraft and y’all… Okay, I don’t know if it counts as lore, but Hatchetfield is right under our noses.

CW: H.P. Lovecraft’s writing is full of bigotry, and if you plan on reading it, prepare yourself. For example, there is an evil entity named Shub-Niggurath. Yeah.

I don’t like H.P. Lovecraft, nor do I enjoy his writing in general, so here are some things that people should look up if you want to find out Hatchetfield’s inspiration. More thoughts on why I cannot write about him are at the bottom.

Also! I do not look down or dislike people who enjoy H.P. Lovecraft’s writing and his creations, and would really love for people to continue to look into things I cannot. I hope my little notes help!

Cthulhu Mythos:

Just read ‘The Call of Cthulhu’. Everything makes sense.

Miss Holloway is based off of a character named Horvath Blayne from ‘The Black Island, Being the Narrative of Horvath Blayne’.

Duke Keane is also taken from ‘The Black Island’.

The narrator of ‘The Call of Cthulhu’ is named Francis Wayland Thurston.

Willabella Muckwab resembles Lavinia Whateley, from ‘The Dunwich Horror’. She has a son, Wilbur Whateley (Wilbur Cross), whose father is the cosmic entity Yog-Sothoth (Wiggog Y’rath). Lavinia went missing on Halloween, and the assumption is that Wilbur killed her. 👀

The Black Book is the Necremonium.

The Dream Cycle:

LOL. The Dream Cycle is a collection of short stories surrounding dream cities. I honestly haven’t read anything about this other than brief stuff from the Wiki, but the connections are painfully obvious.

The word ‘oblivion’ is written in the Black Book. H.P. Lovecraft has a poem titled Ex Oblivione. The narrator sees a gate in his dreams and wants to get past it, but he can’t access it. He eventually does, though. Yikes. Read this post, picture Willabella Muckwab as the narrator for Ex Oblivione, and enjoy.

Note: I had planned to read all of H.P. Lovecraft and the associated work, but the racism is too much for me. I can’t “separate the art from the artists”, especially when everything evil is so obviously and horrendously based on Black people, as well as other races. Again— Shub-Niggurath. Like, seriously?

It’s a huge bummer, because I have so many thoughts— like the implications behind Willabella Muckwab associated with Lavinia Whateley, and Wilbur Cross also being associated with Wilbur Whateley. So much is at our finger tips.

I’m still going to be writing other things, though!

I have more of the Black Book deciphered, so that’s exciting, especially since I actually got some stuff right in my first post. (It was looked at through a more religious lenses rather than an H.P. Lovecraft lenses, though.) BUT STILL. MY EYES HURTING FROM INTENSE SQUINTING SESSIONS WAS NOT FOR NAUGHT! And I know I state some of these things as if they’re facts, but they’re ‘probably based on’ stuff.

Alright. I’m off to read about physics, the concept of nothingness, and the æther in the name of theatre kid.

one trope that really pisses me off (& it comes up surprisingly a LOT lol) is the narrative holding only one character responsible for the actions of multiple characters. I’m not saying a manipulative character’s manipulation or leadership role shouldn’t be acknowledged at all but it annoys me when everyone around them ALSO behaving badly is treated by the story as a victim as if they’re not at all capable of making their own choices.

like I noticed this a lot when my family was watching Spirited & yeah it’s not a movie meant to be taken that seriously but it still annoyed me. Octavia Spencer’s character digs up dirt on this teenager as part of a plot to get Ryan Reynold’s niece elected class president & the story treats her entirely like a victim because Ryan Reynolds asked her to do it but like… she could’ve said no? yeah he’s her boss but this isn’t even part of her job duties it was just a favor she 100% could’ve said no yet she’s treated as a victim of Ryan Reynolds’ manipulation & so is everyone else who does bad things for him & it really annoys me like… no one can think for themselves here? you all just do whatever Ryan reynolds says & then it’s suddenly not your fault it’s his??? …..actually.. eh actually that’s fair if Ryan Reynolds asked me to commit atrocities I’d simply do it too, bad example.

ok or like…. what about in Carrie? why are Chris Hargensen & Billy Nolan (mostly Chris) treated literally like the devil as if Sue & the other girls didn’t ALSO throw tampons at Carrie & spend 4 years calling her a freak? yes sure Chris’ plan is evil but she has accomplices it’s not like she’s in this alone. or Heathers - I can’t stand a Heathers fan who thinks any of the Heathers were helpless victims! sure Chandler was the leader but McNamara & Duke were evil too & yea I’ll joke about McNamara being “the nice one” but tbh she wasn’t!! she was a bully too! & depending which canon you like she purposefully helped put Veronica in a situation to be sexually assaulted! like that’s still evil???

and of course the example that my followers will really get behind - Azula, Mai, & Ty Lee. This is probably the example that annoys me the most but less so in the actual show & more in the fandom. y’all know all 3 of them hunted Team Avatar right? yea Ty Lee was manipulated but like, she did still make her own choices I’m not saying her position didn’t suck I’m saying it’s boring to strip her of all agency. like all 3 girls are still loyal to the Fire Nation & acting just as antagonistic to the heroes!!!

idk man I don’t care about “holding fictional characters accountable for their actions” or whatever so much but I do care about the narrative making cohesive sense so like, this is a pro “evil sidekicks are evil too” blog!

Finished the first 40 pages of Emily Windsnap and the Pirate Prince...

1) Mystic Millie and Mary P. are officially cougars. Seriously they’re both getting horny over a teenager half their age. Flirting with him, dancing with him, getting jealous over him, even letting him give them mojitos. Glad to see Emily shares my disgust. Mary P. doing this is even worse because she’s married! Poor Jake not knowing his wife is chasing underage pirate booty XD.

2) Mary P. seems like a more balanced character. On one hand, she has more likeable qualities:

her happiness at seeing her daughter and said daughter’s boyfriend together, even encouraging them to dance,

showering Emily with much needed comfort and cheering-up after the events of Book 7,

stopping Mystic Millie from turning a bad situation into a worse one.

she’s a bit less impulsive and more cautious than before.

On the other hand, she’s slowly slipping back to her old bad habits:

her extreme naivete towards strange men offering her intoxicated substances. AGAIN. Did she learn nothing from Mr. Beeston? Even worse this time it’s with someone half her age.

her snapping at Emily for interrupting a conversation. Even worse this time she snaps at Emily in public. UUGGGGGGHHHHH. Honestly does even count as an old habit? I’ve ranted before about how out of character this is for her. Granted a few moments later they're back to getting along, solving a quiz together. I guess Mary eventually made it up to her. This is a huge difference from the first 3 Emily books: where we ALWAYS saw Mary try smoothing things over with Emily after any mother-daughter conflicts. But since Book 4 we don’t see that anymore, now have to guess if she already did. Not sure how I feel about that.

And still not over Mary thirsting for a teenager half her age. It’s so absurd I laughed, and I think that’s intentional.

We’ll see by the end if I still like Mary P. or not. Honestly I go back and forth between loving and hating her.

3) Like Freaky Friday, Emily and Mary P. kinda switch roles. For the first time Emily is acting like a mother to Mary P. From comforting Mary when she’s sad, to changing her travel plans to keep Mary company, even cockblocking Mary from cute boys who offer her drinks. And Mary responds to that last situation like any teenage daughter would , a la the whole “I can speak for myself” BS.

4) THANK GOD Emily is finally thinking about officially breaking up!!!! With Aaron wanting to stay at Forgotten Island, I think she got the hint. For the first time Aaron is the unreasonable one, wanting a long distance relationship with him at Forgotten Island and her at Brightport. I’ve been in long distance relationships, and I’m not sure these two have the maturity to make a long distance relationship work. For the first time Emily seems more mature and realistic than Aaron. This could be interesting.

5) This book does a good job showing how incredibly sheltered Aaron is. He spent most of his life alone in a castle,and it shows. From his terrible dancing, to his 0 knowledge of modern music, to his chatting with the ship’s captain instead of, you know, other kids his age. No wonder he said he doesn’t belong anywhere. He even has a Kate&Leopold moment where during a quiz, he impresses everyone with his knowledge of the castle he grew up in. Honestly Aaron reminds me a lot of Duke Leopold from that movie.

random Sinclair brother head canons bc this movie is all I have thought about for months and I need to put these out there’s so ppl can agree w me bc I’m right:

-Lester is a pro w spicy food, like he’s that one white guy that will outdo you as a bipoc on spice level and put you to shame.

-I just know he’d love Thai food 😔

-bo however…

-bo thinks he has same taste buds as Lester, or at least he convinced himself that he does

-everyone at the table will warn him about ordering the hottest spice level even the waiter will warn him against it but Bo’s a fucking show off and he’s gonna suffer the consequences

-this man cannot do spice, I’m talking a lvl two has him sweating.

-one bite out of anything lvl 4 or higher and his head is in his damn hands.

- Lester has definitely tried to get bo to do those hot chip and noodle challenges and it’s def ended w bo dry heaving on the floor or threatening Lester through chugs of milk

- imagine taking these mfs to a Starbucks drive thru, lester is in the passenger seat, already knows what he wants, a pink drink w light ice ✨ or a dragon fruit lemonade

-Vincent is an artist so it’s only natural that he’s gonna go w a matcha drink, def an iced matcha latte but if he wants smth else I see him drinking chai lattes

-don’t get me started on Bo 🙄 it’s not gay to have caramel in ur coffee, like he’s not bisexual

- is gonna talk about how he ONLY drinks his coffee black, a barista’s worst nightmare

-but if it’s hot he’s gonna pretend like he doesn’t want any of those “damn fruity little drinks” (please get him a refresher or lemonade)

- I feel like Lester would like old school reggaeton despite not speaking Spanish

- All artists have one female vocalist that they worship, Vincent’s is björk. Definitely has a vespertine vinyl that was stolen from a victim’s bag, he’s absolutely hoping to “find” a post vinyl to go with it.

-crediting my friend for this one but Lester would absolutely love Waffle House 😭 dinner and a show

- tbh I really don’t see bo listening to a lot of country if any, maybe some johnny cash and a little Reba but I feel like that’s pushing it. I think his taste in music mostly stays within the rock and metal genres 😔 probably has the smallest music range out of all three brothers, sorry y’all </3

-bo has a cd and cassette playlist that he only shows people he likes, def nabbed some rare merch and cds from victims and you’ll have to pry them from his cold dead hands to touch them

-yes ik we can assume he mostly like nu metal and 90s metal/rock from the HoW soundtrack but I feel like bo def likes Black Sabbath too

-bo let me put u on she wants revenge 😩

- no one talk to bo if smth goes wrong in the kitchen, just mind your business (he’s just like me FR)

- dude cracks an egg just to get eggshell bits stuck in there and as soon as Lester and Vincent hear him sigh 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️ they’re out the kitchen

- Vincent’s fave insects r praying mantises

-Lester has crazy grilling skills but is not allowed to cook for his brothers anymore bc they’ve been secretly fed raccoon meat too many damn times (2x)

- Vincent makes the best pancakes and bo makes the best French toast 😤

- while they have jonesy and she’s loved by all three I think bo has a secret soft spot for little dogs

- bring him a small dog and he’s gonna talk about how he “doesn’t want that rat” but he’s gonna be buying them little sweaters and a nice dog bed within a day. Will even have the dog in his own jacket when it’s cold.

-got help w my sibling for this one, but if they played any video games these would be their faves:

Bo: duke Nukem (unironically)and doom

Vincent: postal and bioshock, I think he’d also enjoy the game ver of I have no mouth and I must scream

Lester: Turok evolution, I wanna say he’s insanely good at fighting games, probably plays tekken 3 and 4, but he never memorizes any of the character’s names so if you ever ask him who plays it’s “oh uhh that one fella with the fucked up eye”

I like watching reaction videos and I’m watching The Pink Popcast on yt react to Bridgerton s1. They’re on episode 5 and the woman who stops the Duke and Daphne on their walk has two girls behind her. They’re dressed in pink and purple and have flowers in their hair. These are also two darkskin Black girls. They’re very beautiful and it got me to thinking: Could The Belles get green lit for a show or movie already? Like I’m tired of yt period pieces. The Belles is set around the 17-1800s, set in its own world based off of New Orleans, and is full of Black ppl like…Netflix butchered Tiny Pretty Things so I wouldn’t want them anywhere near it, especially since they’ve let a lot of their nonwhite, and LGBTQ+, employees go. Who could pick it up? Maybe HBO? I wouldn’t want it anywhere near the CW either cuz at this point they are a catastrophe and in my opinion are one of the stations that does in fact take on Black shows so they can be like “Welp! Got that over with.” They’d need a good director and writers. I prefer all of them to be Black but you know writers rooms. Only so many of them can be Black 🙄. Do y’all have any opinions? As someone who hasn’t read the books yet, I still have to get them, I’m not sure who to cast for who but I’d love to hear ideas.

Going to cast some of the Bat-kids and bat-family as some of the characters in the musical Rag-time:

1.) Bruce as Father because just like him, he’s trying to provide for his family and look out for them.

2.) Alfred would play Grandfather because just like him, he’s also tired of everything.

3.) Selina would play Mother because she has had some inner struggles like she has, and I think she would kill it singing back to before. She could also relate to how Father and mother are trying to work out their relationship just like how she and Bruce want to make their relationship work as well.

4.) I can see Duke play Coalhouse Walker jr. because not only does he have a wonderful voice, but he’s passionate and Romantic like Coalhouse and also during the run of ragtime, he would fall in love with the actress who plays Sarah and the two of them would start dating after the show.

5.) For Damian, he can play Little boy because just like in the show, not only can he relate to growing up in a wealthy family, but he can even relate to how he wants to keep his family together even though they’re on the verge of falling apart.

6.) In all honesty, I can see Dick play Harry Houdini because not only was he taught a lot of showmanship in the circus growing up, it also proves that you can’t take the boy out of the circus. He would just kill it as Houdini.

10.) Tim as younger brother because just like him, he’s very high-strung, awkward, and very introverted.

11.) This was a hard one but I could see Stephanie play Emma Goldman because while she does have some battle scars just like her, she strives for social justice and even off-stage, she fights for what she believes in, doesn’t let her past define her, and will not back down from a fight.

12.) Jason as Tateh because not only does he relate to him with getting used to new surroundings just like how he was when resurrected, he also gets along with the child actress playing Tateh’s daughter and make sure that on breaks, she’s entertained. One time, he heard two ensemble women cuss and he reprimanded them to watch their language because of not only children in the play, but he also made them apologize to the girl. He gets along with her very fine because he has been a big brother to Damian for many years so he knows from experience on what it’s like to look after a young kid. Jason also knows from experience on what it was like to go through poverty growing up.

13.) Barbara as Evelyn Nesbit. Hear me out y’all! This would be a good time for Babs to show her fun, comedic, and playful side! I also think that her and Dick would kill it singing Atlantic City. This role would also be great for her to express her sexuality as well since Evelyn Nesbit was flirtatious in the musical.

14.) For Cass, I would say that she would just be in the rich people ensemble because she wants to see what it’s like to work with not only her family, but with other people as well.
