Now let’s be clear, as an ace person, I’ll be the first to state that when you’re ace you absolutely can and at times might/do find people attractive whether is me romantically, platonically, or just because you find them attractive!! It’s really hard to differentiate between what type of attraction you do feel towards people though

Such was the case for Miruko

During her years at UA, she had been bombarded by the press asking her rather uncool questions about her love life considering that she was a teenager :/

She would always tell them that it was nine if their business! And it wasn’t! But there was also another reason for her response was that truly, she didn’t know

Miruko didn’t (and still doesn’t, like not knowing things; especially things about herself) so excuse her if she got a bit abrasive, but the press should keep their damn noses in their own business..

Sadly, they do not :/

Miruko is not an insecure person, but during her teen years, she was starting to wonder if there was something wrong with her. She just. Didn’t get it?

One time, after the press had done a great job in not minding their business >:/ she was taking it out on the punching bag in front of her. Her knuckles were bleeding. She was pissed. Her teacher told her to go to the nurses office. thus merely furthering the pissed off-ness, but Recovery Girl helped her out nonetheless

Recovery Girl was also the one to give them all the sex ed class, which is really what opened her eyes to the LGBTQ+ community

She went over the whole ass rainbow: genders, sexualities, romantic orientations, the whole spectrum

After that, miruko put it together fairly quickly!

She was ace! And she could give a big Fuck You to anyone who told her otherwise or asked her rude, intrusive questions that were none of their goddamn business!

Life as a limelight hero is tiering in it’s own right. She knew people would be in her business, but she’s a tough lady, she can handle it! But damn, did it get annoying :/

Soon enough, she found her rhythm

Whenever the press or anyone would ask about her personal life, she’d tell them the truth: that it was none of their business

Now, don’t get me wrong; if she was in a serious relationship with someone whether it be a queer platonic partner or a romantic relationship, she would 100000000% be showing them off

But until then, it was no ones business, and that’s how she liked it.

i think it's the little things that get me ? like,,, wars and ledge both smile when the other enters the room. when somebody mentions their partner in convo they grin at the simple thought of them. there's quick forehead kisses and mini hugs all throughout the day; little glances behind the others' shoulder, watching each other's backs; little use me as a pillows and i bought this cuz it reminded me of yous and Just Because gifts. they r in platonic love in every sense of the word and there's just smth rly rly comforting abt that

it's rly comforting to Them, especially ? in my head they're both Probably Aro but there's ? a little part of them that kinda Yearns for something similar to that? they want a Connection, but neither of them have ever felt that or had the ability to feel that (at least, romantically). neither of them have ever Met anybody they felt that close to

qprs r such a wonderful thing ?? love is not a straight line that goes friend -> best friend -> lover. platonic love can be just as strong and just as powerful, as mushy and cliche as it sounds, and when wars and ledge finally felt that ?? you've heard it before—they felt like they were on top of the world. it's ?? such a nice experience

they came to terms w the fact that No there was nothing wrong w them—there never was—and even if they had never felt that love there still wouldn't have been smth wrong w them. they r just different than most!! and that's wonderful!!!! they slowly learn that and r accepting themselves and each other :)

they make each other snacks. they totally have that thing where like . ledge makes wars tea and pancakes and they taste amazing but if wars makes Himself tea and pancakes exactly the same way neither of them taste nearly as good. it's about the Love and Care that went into them. look it up it's true

i think i've mentioned it before but one of my fav things to think about is wars reading late at night and ledge snugglin up to him ? my wonderful adored cherished qpp made this for me that shows them all snuggled up together and i love and appreciate that piece oh so much . that is a Routine for them and legend sometimes sees wars nodding off while trying to read—eyes drooping while he's all leaned up against legend and barely holding the book up enough to see the words anyway. silly willy,,,,sleepyhead

lastly . i Have mentioned this one, but wars kissing legend's knuckles and rings in private moments has me in Tears okay . legend fully melts—doesn't know how to compute all that so he just sits there and stares and Melts. he turns so red and wars gives him such a warm smile. those r such nice moments

Voices of the Force: Brainstorm Notes 4

For some clarification: At this point , the name Voices of the Force has come to refer, in my head, to a series of longfics that are intended to be approximately novel-length and constitute a full-scale major plot arc that follows FotJ, incorporating several different ideas I originally thought of as their own stories and may very well be written that way too. Some of the bits about Ahsoka, I already have written and posted.

The hypothetical series order I have so far, necessarily heavily abbreviated from my dedicated notes:

Relic, the first installment, opens with Vriaal II and Ahsoka joining the New Jedi Order, followed by her getting healers' orders for a few months of R&R and therapy. After that, it's three months of character interaction between Ahsoka and the various friends she makes, Jaina most of all, as well as her finding out about the Daughter's essence and some other important character developments that take place on Shedu Maad in this timeframe, such as Vestara's decision that she doesn't want to only be a Jedi and the chain of ideas that lead to her being set up to join the Rogues. Also inevitably a shitload of exposition that is me inserting my various musings on post-FotJ worldbuilding. Also some training flights in X-Wings, for some excitement.

Next is Reconstruction, which is the same time frame as Relic, and deals with events that happened in the rest of the known galaxy during that time. This includes a lot about the general political climate in the Alliance post Abeloth and Wynn's early actions as Chief of State, particularly early attempts to deal with the corporations that had come under fire for slavery after the Fountain was violated. Those actions are examined by Syal, who decides this is an Alliance worth fighting for and, after talking to Gavin, resumes her post at the head of Rogue Squadron after she left because of Daala. She immediately starts to work on the roster, and this is where she and Ves meet over holocomm. We also get the start of the Lost Tribe's contests to figure out a new leadership after Coruscant. Probably some Hapan politics too, maybe a proper introduction to Remnant Head of State Vitor Reige. The shared time frame ends with a large-scale GA fleet deployment being authorized to invade Hutt space, free the slaves, defeat their oppressors, and offer every world there representation in the Alliance and thus full sentient rights.

Shattered Glass I, II, and III cover that series of events, over maybe a year? At this point I'm just pulling numbers out of my ass as far as chronology goes. At the beginning is the first meeting of the new Rogues, and the point where Vestara starts to turn her characteristic ambition onto being the best pilot in the squadron. (I might not give her an extra romance in this version, though. Between Ben and the QPP with Ahsoka, that would possibly just be too much in her life at once.) The Jedi also send a sizeable force, led by Leia, Kyp, Jaina, and most likely another of the Masters who's an okay negotiator, since Jaina and Kyp are really only there for specific other narrative reasons I won't go into at the moment. Their objective is to ensure decent living conditions on the planets that refuse Alliance representation for whatever reason, and also to keep an eye out for any sign that the military's movements are being influenced by corporations that are trying to avoid having their shit brought to justice. In that case, the Jedi are supposed to bring the corporations' shit to justice themselves. So the other Master is Corran, maybe? I do want to keep this part a summary, but there are indeed evil corporations doing evil schemes and they're stopped by the Jedi and the non-corrupt government, and the Hutts, after 25 millennia of being a galactic power, are finally rid of their criminal empire and stuff.

okay so this might be annoying since you've already got a couple asks about it and im asking this to just understand and be a better ally so. You're like. Aroace but you want a boyfriend? I'm really confused about that, like is there a sort of spectrum of aromanticness.. I'm wording this horribly but please know im asking in good nature

uh how it works for me is that i want a committed partnership that doesn't necessarily have the obligations of romance due to the DID (some alters are super repulsed by it) so that'd entail no kissing, no hugging, so on and so forth. having separate rooms would be the biggest thing because you go on r/relationships or some shit and people are like "THIS IS A SIGN OF A FAILING RELATIONSHIP". some of us are even distraught by the words "i love you" which is also alarming but hey - can't help it.

most people, i've realized, would be very hurt and disappointed if they were basically treated like a glorified roommate half the time. if you want to use the term "QPP" that'd apply here and is essentially what i want. like a romance-favorable situation but not strictly romantic. idk how to word this without stepping into "allos aren't friends with their partners >:(" territory, i obviously don't think that, but i don't think the average person has a reaaaaaally close friend who's mostly their roommate but they sometimes kiss but only sometimes and it's like, exclusive and so on. and they might get married for the legal aspects of it like hospital visitation but that's about it.

but, yeah there's kind of a spectrum of aromanticism and i do identify as arospec as opposed to strictly aromantic. i will acknowledge that a lot of this shit is just normal and isn't exclusive and if you're like "wtf that sounds like me though" maybe you have something to ponder over, or maybe not. i find the label helpful and healthy though and that's all a label should be, it's easier to explain than "yeah so i'm gay (generally speaking) but i'm also really fucking weird"

(+ also you can imagine and want things and then in practice look at them and go "i hate this, let me back into my fantasy daydream world" but that doesn't... apply here)

(++ also also controversial take but you don't necessarily need to be an ally to this stuff specifically because this is just a way of experiencing a sexuality rather than it's own thing, if you asked me though i'd categorize myself as gay before arospec or arospec specifically within the gay mlm etc community. so i'm sure others would disagree)

tl;dr: i have DID, some alters are romance-repulsed, i personally just have weird boundaries, identifying as arospec is a clean and tidy way of acknowledging those things, and i use terms for close partners interchangeably (and finally: i apologize for the confusion)

oh fuck yea im glad ur interested in him omg !! i love him

he moves into an apartment with warriors because its cheaper and convenient and he gets to mess with warriors EVERY SINGLE DAY how fucking cool is that. watching warriors fumble and tear apart the livingroom looking for the tv remote legend put in his inventory has never been so fucking amazing.

as prev mentioned, his quirk - living inventory - comes in handy when he wants to fuck w wars. he can take the dudes phone, store it, and watch him come back and stare Directly where it had been in absolute Awe that his phone just fucking Dipped of the plane of existence. legend has done this more than once, and it is also how he ended up owning the phone he still uses.

he does not have any enhanced strength or speed so hes not exactly the Strongest person there, but thats why he goes to ravio and four for support items !!! they always do him so good.

hes best at hand to hand combat, mostly cos hes small and light on his feet. hes not terribly bad at other things tho!

he and hyrule carry the medkits - legend can carry far more than hyrule, though, considering he has like.......... unlimited storage space.

he met the chain for the first time in the first class of the school year, but he'd known warriors and Maybe hyrule a while before even considering applying for the hero course.

qpps warriors and legend, and also hyrule and legend r in a qpr as well cos i Said So. legend loves them both and also bullies warriors daily thats just how they are. whatever wars n ledge have going on .... good. nice. good soup

he designs his own costume! its kind of plain and not very flashy, but im sure the costume department doesnt really mind . gives them a break from the wild shit the others come up with LMAO

legend is trans, as always with me, and grey-ace! he goes by he/him, but probably would not mind they/them and puts up with she/her just because hes used to hearing it! hes very neutral on she/her use for himself, actually, but when they r used solely because hes transmasc and op wants to b a dick is when he grows tired of it.

The Fabled A-spec Post I Keep Saying I’ll Make

Since I’m p aro on sideblog + community terms are unknown to people outside the community (as well as those inside the community due to the wipeout exclusionism on the website circa 2016-onward) so I figured I’d make a quick post to let people know abt some of the things I’ll be referring to!

Terms

Allo: someone who is not a-spec; used in front of -romantic or -sexual (ex. alloromantic) or used as a descriptor (ex. I cannot believe everyone else here is allo)

A-spec / Aro-spec / Ace-spec: abbreviation for the spectrum; A-spec as an abbreviation for the entire spectrum, aro-spec as an abbreviation for the aro spectrum, and ace-spec as an abbreviation for the ace spectrum

-> a note: can be written as a-spec or aspec, but due to screen readers/ what I’ve seen dyslexic a-spec people discuss, I use a-spec. I am not dyslexic nor use a screen reader, so I cannot comment on this, and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

Qpr/ qpp: queerplatonic relationship/ quasiplatonic relatonship; queerplatonic partner/ quasiplatonic partner. Qprs do not have a strict set of rules, and as such are hard to describe. They are not romantic nor sexual inherently, though one could be. A qpr can be committed, married, and non-romantic/ non-sexual; they can look like a romantic relationship; they can include sex and sexual elements; they can appear casual; they can be monogamous or polyamorous; they can occur at the same time as a romantic relationship. They’re very moldable. They are a relationship that, as it comes from the aro community, is not inherently romantic, but goes above and beyond traditional societal norms for friendship (though, friends can do everything a qpr does and not be in a relationship labeled as other than friends). To get a better understanding of qprs, I’d suggest looking into community resources and finding other posts a-spec blogs have made about them. AUREA, or aromantism.org, defines them as “A committed non-romantic relationship that goes beyond what is the subjective cultural norm for a friendship. Levels of intimacy and/or behaviors between the partners involved often don’t fit the conventional standards set by society. Some QPRs can include sex and elements that are generally considered romantic. In practice every queerplatonic relationship is different. Abbreviated to QPR, and queerplatonic (quasiplatonic) partner to QPP.”

Squish: a catch-all term for non-romantic and non-sexual attraction; commonly mistaken for a crush

-> a note: there are many other words for different types of attraction (plush for queerplatonic attraction, swish for aesthetic attraction, etc) but squish is a catch-all and used most often

Peach Fuzz: a qpr that pretends to be romantic/ dating for any reason

Zucchini: an old term that became uncommon after exclusionism became widespread; another way to refer to your partner in a QPR (ex. This is my zucchini!)

Amatonormitivity: The assumption that everyone is looking for a long-term romantic relationship; the assumption that romance, marriage, ‘partnering off’, etc, is the only path someone would want to follow in their life

Queerplatonic / quasiplatonic: an attraction that is ‘non traditional’ and not romantic or sexual. A hard to define attraction that is different than platonic attraction but not romantic or sexual

Aplatonic: Someone who does not experience platonic attraction; also a spectrum called the aplspectrum; can be used as an identifier (ex. demiplatonic, greyplatonic, etc)

SAM: the split attraction model, which serves to split types of attraction (ex. aroromantic and bisexual as two different terms used at the same time)

Non-SAM aro, ace, etc: commonly used as Non-SAM aro. People who don’t use the split attraction model (ex. only identifying as aro/ terms related to aro and not ace/ allosexual)

Oriented aroace: a term for people who are aroace who experience another type of attraction larger enough to label it (ex. Lesbian aroace, pan aroace, etc)

Angled aroace: a term for people who are on the a-spectrum (grey, demi, akoi, etc) and who experience a type of attraction that is not romantic or sexual, and feels significant enough for them to label it (ex. see above, angled omni aroace, angled gay aroace, etc)

Relationship anarchy: the belief that no relationship is better than another; instead of a pyramid of relationships, they’re all equal. Not specific to the community, but often discussed

Romance/ sex repulsed/ averse: someone who does not want romance/ sexual relationships/ actions taken towards them. This can go from feeling uncomfortable to getting triggered by these actions. One can be romance repulsed and not sex repulsed, or sex repulsed and not romance repulsed, or both

R/s indifferent: someone who does not care one way or the other about romance and/or sexual actions taken towards them. One might be unwilling to do romantic/sexual actions because they don’t care, or, on the other end of the spectrum, might do them anyway even though they do not feel any real want to. On a spectrum and can apply in any combination, like r/s repulsed.

R/s favorable: someone who likes romantic/ sexual actions and wants to do them. Again, on a spectrum, and in any combination, like the two above. They might seek out romantic/ sexual interactions, enjoy them, and want a romantic/ sexual relationship, despite not feeling romantic/ sexual attraction

-> a note: be careful! Sex negative and sex positive are used to refer to whether you support those who are sexual or not (ie. sex workers, those who are in sexual relationships, etc) instead of whether you specifically feel repulsed/ favorable. Don’t mix the terms up, as they mean two different things

Voidpunk: a section of punk morals/ aesthetic not unique to the aro community but coined in it. The practice of rejecting ones humanity and reclaiming their inhumanity, specifically only to be used by groups that people use inhuman against; a way to cope with dehumanization from oppressors. Not specific to the aro community (also used by poc, neurodivergent people, etc, and the intersection of multiple identities that are called ‘inhuman’) but popular inside it

Soft Romo: a term used for anyone but most often on the aro-spectrum; for people who like to perform stereotypical ‘romantic’ gestures such as dating, etc. without wanting the high-energy kissing, holding hands, etc. A ‘low-level romantic relationship’, where performing high-level romance is not preferred or just not possible due to different aspects.

Arrow: a symbol commonly used in the aro community, drawing on the way the words ‘arrow’ and ‘aro’ sound the same. Similar themes (archers, bow and arrow, etc) can also be used

Ace card symbol: the ace of a card deck, commonly used as a symbol in the ace community. While the card usage isn’t often discussed, I’ve found sources discussing each meaning; Ace of hearts-> alloace; Ace of spades-> aroace; Ace of diamonds-> the ace spectrum Ace of clubs-> questioning. Draws on ‘ace’ and ‘ace’ word play; also used in jokes (ex. I have an ace up my sleeve/ Aced it!)

Yellow roses: a symbol commonly used in the aro community. Symbolizes friendship, using the symbolism in the yellow rose

Purple/ Green: the colors in the ace / aro flags, respectively

Yellow: the ‘color of friendship’. Commonly connected to yellow roses.

-> a note: there are many more symbols in each community; space ace, frogs for aros, griffins, dragons, etc. I’d suggest looking up symbols and finding some more yourself! These are just some common ones I have seen frequently

NOELASHE NOELASHE TOP FAV it's been my favorite the entire time. the bonus stage soup scene Soldme and then the CAT SCENE...../POS . it barely had any content though and there is a Reason i am the top poster in the noelashe tag.

wilsiri is definitely second favorite becaus mannn the gay subtext thru out the entire game it..... them. their silent compatibility . the way that sirius trusted wil (WHICH IS A BIG STEP FOR HIM) at the end of his conclusion it fuckn HURT /POS it wassjhhg

those two r the ones i am mainly passionate about but other ships i like are noelclaire (solely for angst), sirinoel, and ashe (my friend) has made it so i am now a Richnoel enjoyer. im not too big on wilashe wilnoel or siriashe but they are cute sometimes :] ... i used 2 be a charlime /r shipper but now i am not i just think they are qpps

AND FOR THEORIES. the main one i have is the items that were given in the original game (the lighter, magic wand, broom...... etc) will play a part in their conclusions (lime gave u the broom n it was a pretty big thing in sirius' conclusion!). and that a resounding theme throughout all of them will be 'you don't need the witch's heart to be happy.' and that when i think about noel and ashe w that theme it damages me becAUSE IF SIRIUS CAN GET OVER DOROTHY. right???? i mean when i was younger i did have “crushes” but honestly, when i look back at them the ones i had in primary school was either a) a popular boy that all the girls had crushes on or b) a guy who i could potentially befriend and he was so cool i wanted to know him. at the time i didn’t even have anyone pestering me about who i liked bc i had One (1) friend at the time who didn’t care what i thought lmao but i told myself i had those crushes bc i wanted to fit in w the rest of the kids.

and yikes that sounds hard. like, honestly i really do not know if someone confessed that they had a crush on me. i’d probably be flattered on some level? but i’d also be HELLA nervous, probably decide that i’ll at least try it but eventually they’d get disheartened because i never initiated anything. (oops that sounds like how my literal one relationship happened that i never count bc we didn’t have a crush on each other at first until my friend told him that i had a crush on him when i didn’t. and he asked me out bc of it.)

honestly that’s a mood??? i feel like that’d be completely ideal, because as much as i love being on my own and i’m pretty independant, financially that’s not stable at all. i’d love to have a QPP that i can just,,, relax with. decide that i’ve had enough of being on my own and need to lay on top of someone like a cat decides to curl up with another cat. wouldn’t want to share a bed tho bc i can never sleep when sharing lol

nice! and hnkk yeah queer is deffo a good label. personally, not for me. i like calling the community the queer community instead of the lgbt+ community because it’s more inclusive that way but personally i feel like if i ever label that myself people will assume that i’m alloromantic because we live in an amatonormative society, but it’s a v good term. lol what are the odds! i’m not currently on track to receive a diagnosis of adhd just yet, it’s smth i was considering officially getting pre-covid times and then doctors are like “medical emergencies only” and so i’m just kind of,,, waiting for covid restrictions to ease before officially getting that diagnosis on the way. but like. on the down low bc even though my cousin got diagnosed w it, i’d feel like i’m attention seeking by telling my family i have it without an official diagnosis. but yeah rip it’s gonna take me forever to get it.

HARD SAME. i am. just so WEAK for family focused fics, they’re just. god i love them so much. it’s just. why does the allure of romance compell people so much when you can read about this gruff adult taking one look at this hurt child and think “time to find those adoption papers”???? like FORGET the shipping. i’m gonna get sucked into the 940th found family fic i’ve read ever.

(tho i do actually like some ship fics, they have to be well written and not involve the characters i headcanon as aromantic though, otherwise i will close out of that fic so fast. an annoyance in the mha fandom when 85% of the fandom views aizawa as gay and married to his best friend,,,, they just love to shoehorn that side note in there when it has no revelence whatsoever,,,)

tetsurou’s super romantic playlist to win daichi’s heart

day 5 of @kurodai-week (the prompt was domestic :D)

i. “My Lord, if you would,” Tetsurou offers his hand to Daichi.

“I can’t dance.”

“Anyone can dance, silly.”

“Not at 3 am, in their kitchen, in their pyjamas.”

“That’s part of the charm.”

Tetsurou gets off the floor and flicks through his phone. He hauls Daichi up to his feet, placing his hand around his shoulders.

ii. Together, they dance all around the kitchen. The floor is cold and their feet are bare and Daichi keeps kicking the counter.

If Tetsurou’s toes hurt when Daichi steps on them, he doesn’t say anything.

If Daichi catches a glimpse of the name of the playlist, he doesn’t say anything.

If they catch themselves thinking sappy thoughts about each other at nearly fou in the morning, they don’t say anything.
