the tldr of this song is that it's an unnamed/unidentified speaker asking to borrow various small things for the sake of somebody else (like 'an inch of frozen sunlight' to provide warmth in a cold world) so you can probably see where i'm going with this

#so we're playing a homebrew setting that's essentially set in a very very vast and mostly unexplored dungeon #fake light as the sun and the dungeon has 'hearts' #and these dungeons are essentially alive #my character is essentially a mimic created/born in the dungeon. and it just like #watched one of the families in the dungeon cities move around #and the child of one of the families (age 20) stormed off and got lost. and mimics are ambush predators #so long story short the mimic has accidentally stolen this persons identity #but she doesnt know that she's done this. because it was pre-sentience. meaning that her memory is fucked #she retained Some memory of what happened. her behaviors are all chalked up to trauma (which she does have. just secondhand) #its been years since then #but like by god listen to me floris is just A Guy . having body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria and trauma and swiss cheese brain #and she's learning how to be A Person. and it's still hard #and it's like. eventually her party (at the very least) will know what she actually is. and theyll all have to acknowledge it #and i wonder what the reactions will be #excited and scared everyone be niceys to her #floris
