Memory Lane... . Small sketch. All kinds of memories are weaving through my mind even thoughts and future plans pebble the way.... I found an old sketchbook from 1997 and have been paging through it. I have been gathering these sketchbooks and trying to put them all in one file cabinet. In this 1997-1998 book, common threads include dragons (I draw dragons) and survival and some journaling from when my son was about 12-18 months old. ... Joy and challenges and hopes and fears fill the book… As they fill pages of all of our lives. Last night, I had a vivid dream. I was walking with my camera through a covered bridge. I stopped to take photos of how the snow falling at the exit and the way the sun hit each snowflake as if it were a crystal. When I tried to exit the covered bridge, my way was barred and I was told that "This area had been reserved." I pushed my way through and felt the sun on my face. So this morning, I asked the cards "What was the dream trying to tell me?" I drew the Sun and The World. In the dream, I pushed forward into the Sun. This card represents joy and warmth and everything good. I also see the light bringing a different way to look at things and clearing away the darkness. The Sun shows me the World as it really is. This card symbolizes a unified body, mind and spirit. I have all the protection I need to move forward into this new cycle of myself and be who I am meant to be. I have grabbed ahold of my future and have engaged in the dance of life.
