The Dark God

The Dark God is one(1) page of mostly outdated worldbuilding. In fact, this post contains the updated version of just about everything in that doc if a little vaguely. The one key element in that worldbuilding doc that is not encapsulated by or hinted at by that lil bit of writing is the following: When The Dark God and The God of Hope arrived in the new world, they fought so constantly they could get nothing done. So, they made deputies, to build themselves shrines, to steal worship from other gods, to try to learn what they could of this new world. To try to return home. The creatures the Dark God made were devoid of faith but full of darkness. They slowly melt into nonexistence when they are not in the line of sight of others. The creatures the God of Faith made were devoid of darkness but full of faith. They found they could get the darkness they lacked in the blood of creatures that placed meaning on the fact their blood ran in their veins. Animals had some, but humans had more.

That's why there's vampires and packs of wraiths around everywhere. Too bad the secret society sworn to protect humanity from them is a scam to defraud a German duchess. A well-made scam, to be fair. The founders did their research (one of them used to be a member of his local masonic temple, and he met a guy that was recruiting for the Bavarian Illuminati. They got kicked out by the same missive and stayed in touch ever since), and so some of their rituals have good alchemical premises...
