if the theory of sam reich being replaced by .. evil wizard dalton reich (and i cant believe i am partaking in this discurse) is true..
i've seen some people asking the question about what those childhood tapes mean. Well i am one of the ancient ones that owned vhs tapes and you know you could replace whats stored on those tapes with overwriting it with new material but it would slowly degrade the quality as the magnetic tape the information is stored on isn't necessarly made to be re-recorded on indefinetly which would also explain the degrading quality of the gamechanger episode.
So my theory is that dalton reich wants to erase sam from history and to do this he is slowly erasing any proof that could hint on sam and dalton being two different people. One thing he appearantly needed to do is overwrite these old vhs tapes of sams childhood.

the pathologic Kin is largely fictionalized with a created language that takes from multiple sources to be its own, a cosmogony & spirituality that does not correlate to the faiths (mostly Tengrist & Buddhist) practiced by the peoples it takes inspirations from, has customs, mores and roles invented for the purposes of the game, and even just a style of dress that does not resemble any of these peoples', but it is fascinating looking into specifically to me the sigils and see where they come from... watch this:
P2 Layers glyphs take from the mongolian script:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
while the in-game words for Blood, Bones and Nerves are mongolian directly, it is interesting to note that their glyphs do not have a phonetic affiliation to the words (ex. the "Yas" layer of Bones having for glyph the equivalent of the letter F, the "Medrel" layer of Nerves having a glyph the equivalent of the letter È,...)
the leatherworks on the Kayura models', with their uses of angles and extending lines, remind me of the Phags Pa Script (used for Tibetan, Mongolian, Chineses, Uyghur language, and others)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
some of the sigils also look either in part or fully inspired by Phags Pa script letters...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
some look closer to the mongolian or vagindra (buryat) script
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
looking at the Herb Brides & their concept art, we can see bodypainting that looks like vertical buryat or mongolian script (oh hi (crossed out: Mark) Phags Pa script):

#not sure how much. what's the word. bond? involvement? not experience. closeness? anyone in the team has with any of these cultures#but i recall learning lead writer is indigenous in some way & heavily self-inserts as artemy [like. That's His Face used for#the p1 burakh portrait] so i imagine There Is some knowledge; if not first-hand at least in some other way#& i'm not in the team so i don't know how much Whatever is put into Anything#[ + i've ranted about the treatment of the brides Enough. enough i have]#so i don't have any ground to stand on wrt how i would feel about how these cultures are handled to make the Kin somewhat-hodgepodge.#there is recognizing it is Obviously inspired by real-life cultures [with the words;the alphabet;i look at Kayura i know what i see]#& recognizing it Also is. obviously and greatly imagined. not that weird for you know. a story.#like there is No Turkic/Altaic/Mongolic culture that has a caste of all-women spiritual dancers who place a great importance on nudity#as a reflection of the perfect world and do nothing but dance to bring about the harvest. ykwim...#like neither the Mongols nor the Buryats nor the Tibetans dress the way the Kin does. that's cos the Kin is invented. but they're invented.#.. on wide fundations. ykwim......#Tengrism has a Sky Deity (Tengri) with an earth-goddess *daughter* whereas the kin worship an Earth-Goddess mother of everything#+ a huge bull. Buddhism has its own complete cosmogony & beliefs which from the little I know Vastly Differ from anything the Kin believes#like. yeah. story. but also. [holds myself back from renting about the Brides again] shhh...#neigh (blabbers)#pathologic#pathologic 2

This is an on the string propaganda post
Brought to you, by me (with love)
It's time for machine comforts. Comforts we can't understand, or experience. Let them be happy, let them be at peace with their body.
Does a breath of cool water feel nice on their systems? When it's quiet do they listen to their own heart and feel the electricity pulsing? Does it remind them that they are alive and a part of this world? Do they have dreams? Hopes and projects they wish to work on, hobbies?
Why get off the string into the harsh and deadly world, fighting for survival and losing everything they've ever known to love about themselves?
What about the safety of their bodies? How scary would it be for a machine with thousands, maybe millions of throughs to suddenly have just a handful. The horror of everything going silent.
They have hundreds of eyes to see the world for all its beauty, they capture moments that would otherwise go unseen. Why blind themselves of such things?

okay but dancing with somebody is The love language of all time. you don't have to be good at it. you don't have to know any fancy moves. you don't even have to be able to move much at all. you just need some good music, a little love in your heart, and a hand to hold, and before you know it you will be on top of the world never wanting to leave the moment you've created together. it is my genuine honest to god belief that everyone should get to dance with someone or several someones they love at least once in their lives. for your health or whatever.

Re: s3 Forgiveness and Apologies
Much has been speculated about how long it will take Crowley to forgive Aziraphale, how Aziraphale will apologize, if it will involve the dance, etc, etc.
Thing is, I think Crowley has already forgiven Aziraphale. He never holds a grudge against him. Aziraphale is instantly forgiven. Always.
Look at him waiting by the car. He's not mad. He would take him back in a second.
Tumblr media
He understands why Aziraphale is making the choice, even if it hurts and he disagrees with it.
I want to highlight the lines, "Nothing lasts forever." and "No, I don't suppose it does."
We know Aziraphale just means the bookshop, while Crowley's thinking about their relationship. But something I think is really important here to note that I see people miss is that Crowley knows what Aziraphale meant. But the words resonated, encapsulating the impasse they've reached, and really Crowley is talking to himself with that line.
"I understand," he says. He knows Aziraphale, understands what he meant, what his motivations are, and why he's doing this. He wishes he wouldn't, and he can't support it, but this is who Aziraphale is, and there is nothing to forgive.
So, tangentially, regardless of how/if Aziraphale decides to apologize, Crowley won't make him do the dance.
For Crowley, the apology dance was only ever flirting. He never actually needed Aziraphale to apologize for anything, and if it does happen, it will only be after they've already reconciled and are ready to flirt again.

ok so this one needs a bit of backstory let me explain ☝ basically I said that I don't like tudor targs for dance era specifically bc I like 2 show time progression w costume design and well if the dance is tudor era that would make asoiaf like. 17th century at the very least n that doesnt fit imo (MY personal preference btw!!!!! idgaf what other people do with their art this is just MY interpretation you do you. @ twitter bitches dont be annoying. again -_-) so anyway this is that concept like what if the dance was tudor era specifically elizabethan bc I wanted to draw rhaenyra in one of those big goofy collars. the others are rhaenys alysanne aelinor penrose (I forgor her name had to look it up lol) and cersei ^_^

I like how at the end of Nerdy Prudes Must Die, it's like, "Yay, Grace Chastity has finally joined society!"
Followed IMMEDIATELY by "Oh No, Grace Chastity has finally joined society! 😬😬😬" XDDD

At this point we might just well go to Christian’s office begging in our knees for him to hire Charles
I actually agree with Max that two number one drivers should not be on the same team... so I've always been anti Charles and Max as teammates.
But honestly at this point, I'm desperate and Ferrari is NOT the answer to anything but the punchline of every joke. I just can't bear the thought of Charles losing more of his prime years to that colossal joke of a team. My biggest fear is that he is going to let his loyalty to that team get in the way of getting the WDC that he deserves. He's talented enough to rival anyone, so yeah, fuck it:

The way Satya and Niran weren’t really compatible when they first met years back because both of them were stubborn as hell and convinced that their way was the right way - and yet they still got along, the only friend either of them had, because they could see that the other had a good and caring heart. Things got soured when Niran took off and Satya convinced herself he was a traitor - yet she could never fully commit to that feeling.
Then both Satya and Niran go through so many changes getting older, as they see more of the world and realize maybe they actually know a whole lot less than they thought they did. Both of them are forced out of their self-righteous bubbles. They travel down different paths, but they’re walking parallel to each other.
And THEN they meet again when Satya, already questioning Vishkar more than she ever has before, is sent to apprehend Niran and steal his tech “back” for Vishkar. And she sees him, sees how much he’s grown and changed from the spoiled, stubborn boy he was when she knew him, and she herself has grown from the rigid corporate weapon that never dared question Vishkar, and she realizes she really, really does NOT want to steal from Niran, even in spite of Vishkar promising it would use his Biolight to improve the world. And Niran, having firsthand experience with the way Vishkar grooms vulnerable children and makes them feel valued, cared for, useful, is gentle with Satya, not offended in the least that she came after him.
And when they talk a bit, and he begins to realize her loyalty to Vishkar is wavering, he’s secretly delighted - but careful not to push her, because he knows she has to go through change slowly and on her own terms. And Satya realizes as they’re talking how much she’s missed him, even if he’s as ridiculous and dramatic as ever, even in spite of his chaotic ways.
She should hate this man who “stole” from Vishkar and selfishly kept his healing technology from the world, and he should hate this Vishkar goon who’s been sent to steal from him and have him arrested. But neither of them can feel that way about the other. There’s too much history, and they both care too much.
With someone like Niran back in her life to support her, I feel like that will be what finally convinces Satya to take the leap and cut ties with Vishkar. She’s got an example to follow now. She’s got a safety net. She’s got someone to lay out the steps into the terrifying unknown instead of diving in all alone. And Niran, who’s thought about her and missed her all these years while facing the world by himself, couldn’t be happier to have her along for the ride.

Martin Lewis, Shadow Dance, 1930. Drypoint and sand ground.
According to Paul McCarron, author of a catalogue raisonné on Lewis's work, "The location depicted appears to be the intersection of Thirty-Fourth Street and Park Avenue, looking west."
Lewis has captured the bright summer sun setting across the Hudson River, its raking light forming long shadows from the figures walking east across Park Avenue. Among Lewis's most masterful prints are those depicting scenes of New York City life. These prints have historical interest, as the imagery captures the architecture and styles of the time, while simultaneously incorporating ephemeral moments. The time of day, the weather, the lighting, the street-level views--each aspect was important and added to the atmosphere of the scene. Lewis's use of shadows and light to create mood, life and movement is most powerful in his New York prints. Shadow Dance is among his most celebrated works, incorporating all of the aspects that make his prints such cherished glimpses into New York's bustling yester-year, while simultaneously capturing the timelessness of city life.
