Fairy Tale High e-Books

Yesterday, in my last post, I asked if anyone knew how to read the ebooks from the Fairy Tale High website ...and guess what? I’ve finally found them! In fact, when you click on the links to read the ebooks on the home page, it gives you a wrong URL adress... but the ebooks are still available.

You know what era of romcoms I miss? It's the early 2000s teen romcoms that were based on classic literature. They were some of my favorite ones, and yeah, some were loosley based, but they still hit those important bases, and they were so much fun.

We had:

I might be missing some, but I remember just having fun with these. One of my English teachers also showed us a few of these movies while studying Shakespeare to show how pieces of literature can change over the years and inspire other's own takes.

#my blog is in his last year of middle school. he'll be off to high school next year (at least I think so..? 13 yrs old is usually 8th grade #at least from my experience. 9th graders are usually 14. 10th are 15. etc. etc. and then you're in 12th grade #and graduate high school usually 17yrs old.) ANYWAY.. wow he is so ancient..#maybe he's still in a preteeny early teen emo phase or something.. I hope he gets some black and white striped armwarmers and black eyeline #r for his birthday. Maybe an MP3 player of course. Though because I don't really like most alternative music and he is my son he's actually #not allowed to listen to metal or pop punk or emo rock whatever stuff. I open the mp3 player and pre-stock it with only #disco and funk and classical music. he can have a little chiptune or techno stuff as a treat (sometimes emo adjacent maybe more #scene. I think a lot of scene kids were into that more.. emo's weird eccentric brother))#Also he starts taking iron pills his 13th birthday because he's probably incredibly anemic just like me #so on and so forth and et cetera (I'm just being silly.. I am not pro-controlling your children down to whatmusic they #listen to or etc.etc. lol)#THOUGH I love that it's in january... january is one of my favorite months if not my favorite. yeeaaay #just such a nice cool month. I like that it's the start of the year mostly and that it's sometimes snowy here. Like where I live nov - dec #isnt really actually snowy?? You always associate those winter Months with snow but I think snow happens later on this coast #so it's more like Jan - March or even april sometimes. Though that may just be climate change lol.. But it's cool that Jan is winter AND #ACTUALLY snowy. plus the Beginning Of Year vibes and energy.. hrm... nice nice.. ANYWAY #AND this is not even my first tumblr blog. I had a different one before it I think..#evviilll to be on one website for so long lol.. Very thankful that most websites I used to use as a 10 year old or whatever #are now defunct. There's something weird about how humans are just creating endless streams of words and pictures and all of this stuff #and it just goes out into the void and stays there long after the person themselves has forgotten it. not even like 'oh no what if i said #something bad!!' but more just the general sense of.. people create so much more ideas than they can actually hold in their heads. nobody #remembers exactly word for word every post they've ever made or etc. It's like parts of yourself that you've externalized and then fade awa #from you but they're still you but they're not so you just have little snapshots of yourself in time floating around entirely unbenknownst #to you. like making clones of yourself and then forgetting you did so but every once in a while going 'shit... there's clones out there..#of me and I don't even have track or awareness of them anymore.. what an odd concept..' etc. not EXACTLY like that ghbj..you know what I me #n.. or maybe you dont.. hrmm... ANYWAY #I am just now slightly recovering from my most recent mysterious illness spell and etc. so I would like to post more again and mAYBE even #do a costume if I'm being ambitious.. but after so many times of being randomly stricken by problems I'm now fearful of ever being too #hopeful lol.. always like 'I would like to go to the grocery store tomorrow! .... MAYBE.. if i CAN.. possibly... NOT getting my hopes up'.#etc. etc. etc. every statement has a caveat and a backup plan and so on and so forth and such is life.. anyway. happy birthday evil tumblr

It’s time for first Friday fic night!

For a refresher you can see what this is about here.

Last month we returned to Teen Wolf.

This month it is Snow White With the Red Hair. Poll at the end for what we should cover next month!

I'm really excited this month to talk about what may be my favorite fandom. This list was a little harder because for all that there are fewer fics for this ship there is such a wide array of feels and themes to pull from.

Fandom: Akagami no Shirakukihim | Snow white with the red hair. Ship: Obiyuki (Obi my beloved!) Theme: Shirayuki figuring out what she actually wants

As always, mind the tags. There will be smut.

I have to start off by acknowledging my favorite author in the fandom, Sabraeal. I love everything she writes but I feel like linking to each of her fics would be overkill. So instead, here are three that I feel in my bones and that fit the theme. I can guarantee you will see more of her work in future posts.

Seven Suitors for Shirayuki, by Sabraeal

"If someone had told her this was going to happen, maybe she would have taken Zen up on his offer."

I have reread this fic so many times that I actually lost count. The same can be said for the companion fic 100 Headaches for Haki. Just, Obi's devotion to Shirayuki, and Obi & Haki's friendship, and Haki shipping the hell out of Obiyuki, and Shirayuki growing into herself are all just. Fantastic

as seen through a mirror, sharply, by Sabraeal

"It takes a certain type of stubbornness to believe that one tragedy won't beget another; Shirayuki is finding that she no longer has it in her to turn a blind eye and hope for the best."

and all my winding roads have led me here (to you), by Sabraeal

"Shirayuki turns thirty and ponders at all her untaken roads-- as well as the one she put herself on, all those years ago."

Eclectic80 is another of those authors who has so many fics to love. Their most recently completed one is just everything.

"After Zen's royal engagement is announced, Shirayuki finds her path leads her to the far corners of the continent. Good thing she has her best friends along."

This is the lightest on this list. I just think it's neat.

Period Piece, by ccprovolomies

"Shirayuki's life told through days of her menstruation"

I actually found this one more recently and I cannot express how much I adore the way the the author uses Shiryuki's cycles as measure of her life's trajectory. Just :chef's kiss:

For next month we are going to pick a theme instead of a fandom. Within each theme you could get works from: Snow white with the red hair, My hero academia, Teen wolf, Attack on titan, and maybe even Yuri on Ice or Buffy thrown in as a wild card.

A bit about me…

(for my pinned post)

I love Disney, specifically DCOM’s, Disney classics, and Disney princess movies. My screentime on Disney+ is always over 30 hrs because I truly am addicted 😭 I made this tumblr to just express ALL of my opinions, headcanons, thoughts, theories, photos, and chances are if it’s Disney related, you can find here.

I am a writer, (even though I can use improvement) and in my “ask me anything !!” you can give me prompts! The fandom I’m most comfortable writing at this moment is for is the Zombies franchise. I can do ships such as Willa/A-Spen (my favs), Wyatt/Eliza, Zed/Addison, etc. I can also do fics that focus on one character specifically or the wolf trio, alien trio, or really anything u want. And feel free to ask me about any Zombie headcanons or any questions in general to fuel your obsession!
