She was the most beautiful human being Cairo had ever seen in all of her eighteen-and-a-half years of being alive on earth. Living in New York City, you see a shit ton of people every day and that is literal. Hypothetically, you see a million people in a year; at stores, on walks, as extras in a tv show or movie, etc.
Out of all of those people, no one even compared to the raven-haired girl across the room. She was short, but Cairo could always spot her no matter the crowd. Most people teased her for her height, but Cairo genuinely found it endearing. Her smile was brighter than quasars, constantly leaving Cairo on her knees and rendering her useless. She had dimples accenting her marble, smooth cheeks. It was such a funny thing to Cairo, that dimples were biologically considered imperfections, but non-scientists find them alluring. All of the freckles kissing across her face were the stars in Cairo’s galaxy, the girl being Cairo’s revolving world. She had a unique voice that wasn’t like anyone else’s. There was a rasp to the edge of her words; sometimes the rasp was thickly coated, like when she woke up in the morning or was running out of breath or got excited. It could be deep, but not Sophia Bush deep. No matter what, it was always soft and pleasant sounding. A lot of people agreed with Cairo that listening to the other girl’s voice was calming, a remedy for anxiety even. Her eyes were big but not the repugnant kind. They were a deep brown that could light up and yet still remain mysterious. Her eyes were her most innocent feature and the ones that got her everything she wanted. She wasn’t just hot though. No. Her brain could remember the entire dialogue to The Babadook and graduated at the top of her class. She was very perceptive in a mostly subtle way. Snark was a fabulous hobby of hers and her heart was the most golden heart that ever shone. Selflessness and loyalty were the foundations of her persona, of who she was; what made her her. Everyone tripped over themselves at her natural, graceful beauty. Half of them were privy enough to see what she was about on the inside and fall head over heels for her. Cairo was definitely the latter. So was Chad. Cairo couldn’t blame him for falling for her childhood best friend. It’d be concerning if he didn’t. That didn’t mean it didn’t hurt any less to watch him give heart eyes to the girl she was in love with. ‘She could never be yours anyways. You know that.’ Falling in love with your best friend was the worst form of emotional pain imaginable.
Cairo despised the media and pop culture that romanticized the trope, especially the ones with a happy ending. Happy endings were overrated and unrealistic, especially when it came to “unrequited love.” It either ends up being requited, or they find someone else. That wasn’t always the case though. For eighteen years, Tara had only ever looked at Cairo with platonic respect and adoration.
Ever since she was a teen, Cairo tried to find someone else to crush on and hoped for someone to want her. The last part never happened until this year. She was still out of luck in the crushing department. At the end of the day though, as much as Cairo felt like she was suffocating, she was happy for Chad and Tara. They were both her friends that she cared about and loved deeply. She’d never risk their happiness for her own, especially when it wasn’t likely to lead to happiness for her. Cairo winced as she sipped the awful beer in the red solo cup. It didn’t matter how hard she tried with alcohol; it just didn’t fancy her like it did the others. “Hey, Roe.” Cairo didn’t need to look up to know that it was Quinn who was standing beside her. Quinn was the only one who ever called her that, her own personal nickname for Cairo.
Everyone else called the brunette girl by her full name - or Cai - and teachers called her by her last name - Miss Reed - or Cairo. She really hated her name sometimes. Well, most of the time if she was being honest. “Hey, Quinn.” The ginger got to work with grabbing two red solo cups and picking up one of the glass bottles of alcohol. Cairo bit her lip and scanned the packed room for any sign of her roommate or their other two friends. Cairo turned back to Quinn to shout over the music, “Where’s Anika?” Quinn was grinning when she spoke, her eyes glittering intoxicatingly. “She’s trying to help Ethan score a date.” “Key word trying.” Cairo teased earning a chuckle from the other girl. “Mindy is having fun watching, and I am getting drinks for myself and that cute boy waiting for me.” Cairo turned to follow the direction Quinn had pointed to with her eyes. The boy looked to be the same height as Quinn with curly hair & a stubble that made him seem like a fuckboy, but his boyish smile and awkward wave was contradicting. The brunette nodded her head. She took a step closer to the ginger and leaned in close so she could be heard. “I think I’m going to leave, maybe check on Sam on the way back.” Before the friend group had rallied together and ventured off to this party, the Carpenter sisters had gotten into it...again.
The arguing between the two sisters was becoming more and more frequent as time was going on. Everyone was on edge, wanting to say something to ease the tension but not knowing what to do or knowing if it was their place to even do or say anything. The twins and Cairo worried more than anyone, having grown up with the two sisters. Tara used to listen to Cairo and the others when they had something to say. Especially Cairo. Nowadays, Tara only ever listened to herself and only did what sounded pleasing to her. Guess Chad sounded especially pleasing to the girl. Cairo was really trying not to think about that though. About any of it really. “What? Come on, you said you were going to try!” Quinn lightly smacked the back of her hand against Cairo’s bicep. The brunette chuckled halfheartedly and raised her eyebrows. “And I did, now I’m leaving.” Cairo knew that if she didn’t move her ass at that very second, Quinn was going to showcase a frown and beg Cairo to stay “for herself and not me.”
(It was true, Quinn was doing this all to help Cairo take her mind off of the girl she couldn’t have. But it was becoming too much for Cairo.) Quinn was already in the midst of tilting her head to the side and parting those talented lips. But Cairo was quicker. She was quicker than anyone at everything, except for telling Tara her feelings. Which was precisely why she was in this predicament. “I’ll see you later, Quinn.” Quinn sighed but let Cairo give her a hug and turn to head out the door. It wasn’t until she was down the sidewalk and turning into the quad on campus that Cairo finally felt like she could breathe. She dunked her head down and placed her hands on her hips. She couldn’t stop seeing Tara with Chad.
Or with Amber. She had thought that watching Tara kiss or hold hands with Amber was painful, to watch Tara’s eyes light up whenever she saw or talked about Amber, having to encourage Tara to make a move and smile for her, she thought all of that hurt.
But this…this was so much worse. Cairo almost wished she was back in high school, watching the two girls parade around. Walking in on Chad and Tara, that had been worst of all.
It was her own fault, she should’ve knocked a second time and waited for an okay. But she could tell something was wrong with Tara and she had to get to the bottom of it before she permanently lost her mind. There were too many days spent canceled and nights spent on read. It wasn’t like Tara, not even when she was with Amber. She had left the apartment, bolting down the stairs and struggling to hold the bile in before making it outside. There wasn’t any shame in her body as she wiped her mouth with her sleeve and stood up. They lived in New York City, some girl puking on the sidewalk was the least weird thing citizens saw. Cairo went back to the dorm that night crying. Anika was staying at Mindy’s dorm, which was only down the hallway, so she didn’t have to worry about being bombarded with questions.
She spent the rest of the evening into later afternoon, hibernating under her covers with her earbuds in and curtains drawn. She was in the shower, changing out of her clothes from the night before finally, when Anika made it back. They spoke briefly through the curtain and then Anika was gone, off to hang out more with her girlfriend and their friends.
So, Cairo just dressed in whatever she found and got back into bed with a trashcan nearby. Having to pretend for another month like she didn’t know they were together was utter torture for Cairo.
Every time she was around Chad she felt nauseated, and she couldn’t look at Tara without her throat starting to hurt from suppressing sobs. At parties, she got blackout drunk so that she didn’t have to remember them being touchy with one another. She stopped texting Tara as much and didn’t ask to hang out anymore. For two months, Cairo had been smiling in the presence of the couple and drinking herself to sleep. She was getting tired of the drinking if she was honest. Being hungover and heartbroken was the most horrific combo.
The past few days she had been lying in bed with her hood blocking her from the rest of the world and earbuds drilled in. She hated how much of a baby she was about this whole thing. Hell, this felt worse than all of the stabs she received last year.
(Or the single one she received at eight years old.) Or worse than the betrayal of her older sister who she had idolized. “Tara will never be yours, Cairo.” “She doesn’t have to be, as long as she isn’t yours.” Then she headbutted Amber, sending the girl staggering backwards. There were three gunshots that sang Cairo to sleep.
When she woke up, Sidney was there. She didn’t see Tara until the next day. Since then, she hadn’t seen Tara a whole lot. She figured that the young Carpenter girl blamed her for the Ghostface attacks or wished that she hadn’t made it out alive.
Or maybe she cared more about Chad than Cairo. She wasn’t really sure. All Cairo was ever sure of anymore was that she missed her cousin Sidney. Sidney had wanted to adopt Cairo after being orphaned, but authorities thought it was best for her to stay with a closer relative, her father. He had no problem signing his rights over to Kirby three years later when she finally turned 21 years old.
For reasons that didn’t make sense, he didn’t want to give Cairo over to Sidney. Cairo thinks he just reached his limit and saw Kirby as the closest scapegoat. “You still want me?” “Of course I do. I might have adopted you, but you’ll always be my little sister, and I’ll always take care of you. Okay?” Cairo blew out a raspberry and started walking in the direction of the Carpenter-Quinn household.

It took two knocks in two intervals for Sam to open the door.
Cairo stood on the other side, twirling her earbuds around; to the left and to the right, raveling the cord around her finger and unraveling it. She immediately dropped her hand, holding her earbuds with both hands, when the door opened. Cairo grinned mischievously and cocked her head to the side. “Hello, Cute Boy.” Said man chuckled softly and smiled charmingly at the shorter girl. Cairo kept on smiling as the man turned back to Sam, who looked rather uncomfortable at the whole situation. “I’ll call you later.” The stranger said. Sam nodded her head and lifted her tense lips up. “Okay.” “Okay.” The man said, still smiling dreamily at Sam. Cairo had to duck her head down and scratch her cheek as the man walked by so he wouldn’t see her cheesing. She watched him walk down the stairs, turning back to look at Sam at the top step before continuing.
She raised her dusty brown eyebrows at Sam with the same antagonizing grin in place. “Cute Boy from across the hall, huh?” Sam scoffed and rolled her eyes. Her reluctant smile contradicted her previous actions.
All Cairo could do was laugh. “Get in.” Sam nudged her head behind her. Cairo did as she was told, plopping herself down on the couch. Sam gave the brunette a reprimanding look, but it didn’t succeed its message.
The younger girl had her hands clasped behind her head and was smiling gorgeously. It was the smile that made her gray-brown eyes sparkle and had Sam wishing for a different life for the girl. Sam smiled and crossed her arms in that sisterly manner of hers. “What are you doing here, Cairo?” The brunette shrugged nonchalantly. But her downcast eyes and moving feet said she was uncomfortable. “Just came to check on you.” When she flicked her gaze up, she saw Sam looking to the side and nodding her head. She released her bottom lip and ran a hand through her inky black hair as she descended on the couch.
The older girl smacked Cairo’s shoes prompting her to raise her feet. She promptly set them back down on Sam’s lap afterwards. Sam cupped the top of the girl’s bottom legs and turned to look at her.
Cairo no longer had her hands behind her head but clasped carefully on her stomach. She was looking at Sam like she was the older sister or the mom, patiently waiting for the girl to speak and waiting to catch Sam if need be. “She’s not dealing with this, Cairo.” The gray-brown eyed girl sighed empathetically, her head nodding along. “Does she talk to you about it?” Sam asked. Cairo glanced down at her lap and shifted. “She doesn’t talk much to me anymore.” It wasn’t like Tara had just dropped Cairo.
They stilled texted a lot and there were frequent phone calls. But ever since the attacks in Woodsboro last year, Tara had been keeping her distance from Cairo. When they did talk or see each other, it was as if everything was the same as it had been before. Ever since Chad and Tara had finally come forward with their relationship (even though it was painfully obvious to everyone), Tara had been more talkative and social with Cairo. The brunette couldn’t help but feel like maybe Chad had said something to prompt the change. He was a nice guy, very protective and loyal to those closest to him, goofy and definitely attractive. Cairo loved Chad. It just made everything hurt so much more. Cairo lifted her gaze from her twitchy fingers to gauge the older girl.
She was looking off into the distance, watching memories and worst-case scenarios on the blank tv screen. Sam looked miserable. That tended to happen when you worried about your little sister’s trauma. “What about you?” Sam stitched her eyebrows together and frowned at the younger girl. Cairo took that as a prompt to elaborate further. “How are you doing with…dealing about this? How’s therapy going?” Sam heaved a heavy sigh that left Cairo’s heart twisting uncomfortably. “I think I need to find a new therapist. This guy pushed me to open up the other night then wanted to assign me to someone else. Pretty sure he has a foot fetish too.” Sam added the last part thoughtfully. “Sounds like a douche. I say dump his ass before he dumps you. But don’t dump Cute Boy.” Cairo grinned like a cheshire cat. Sam rolled her eyes fondly, pushing the brunette’s legs off of her.
Cairo squeaked as she tilted to the side, almost falling off the couch and onto the floor. She watched as Sam got up, heading into the dining room to clean up. That’s when Cairo noticed the two wine glasses and two empty plates. (Cairo tried not to worry about the wine glasses. It was just wine…right? It was drugs and beer that were Sam’s vices, not wine. Christina was the one whose vice was alcohol in general. That woman would drink anything she could get her hands on. Anything that fuzzed her thoughts and shattered her inhibitions was welcomed to her digestive system.) There weren’t any candles or dimly lit lights on in the apartment, so it didn’t seem like they were going for an intimate night. Which made sense, because Sam didn’t know if Tara would be coming back or not.
It didn’t take a genius to piece together that no one knew about Cute Boy because Sam didn’t want to set Tara off in any way. Still, Cairo felt bad for interrupting their date night. “His name is Danny, and we aren’t dating.” Sam said lightly from the kitchen. Cairo shrugged as she picked up a weird looking piece of chicken to sniff. “Could’ve fooled me.” There wasn’t any noise except for the clinking of cutlery and spray of water. Cairo hoisted herself up onto the counter in the kitchen and cupped the edge. “I’m not going to tell anyone that I saw him here, I won’t even mention him at all. Now, tell me about how long this has been going on and who initiated it.” Sam couldn’t help but blush as Cairo smiled and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Cairo laughed softly at the flustered woman and playfully kicked her calf. When a minute passed by with no answer, Cairo raised her eyebrows expectantly.
Sam playfully scoffed and shook her head before begrudgingly starting.

The start of a new beginning/“When you look at me like that, my darling, what did you expect?”
Tumblr media
Warnings-cussing, possibly bad grammer, writing, or spelling and I think that’s it.
W/n I don’t know why I gravitate towards that name for the start of all my writings but idk. I’m happy to finally be writing for this and for this character to be shown in multiple chapters unlike my last of us and civil war series. Now for the readers that want to keep up with the series try and killer/killers because I changed some things from the movie.
————————————————————————-
3rd person point of view
It merely was a normal day for Cat waking up, going to class, going to practice for sports, then studying in the library, but normally she doesnt stay until 7:45 as Cat goes to walk home she sees a fimilery brunet. Now Cat and Tara have a weird relationship, well Cat does because she has a massive crush on her. Cat and Tara both stir next to each other during every lecture and do projects together. But their relationship hasn’t stemmed from that.
Cats point of view
As I walk home from studying I look up to see Tara talking to Jason. I look at her features as I pass by contemplating saying hi to her but I don’t, so I just put my head back down and walk.
“Cat” I hear my name being called looking back up, it’s Tara. “Cat I know you hate parties but please just come to the OKB party with me”, I stare at her,” please cat it’s a costume party too don’t you love costume parties.”
“Frankly no I don’t love any party’s but I would go if I had a costume.” I say shrugging my shoulders.
“You have left clothes at my house so maybe you could put a costume together like I did.” She said as she glided her hands down her outfit.
“Fine, but won’t Sam kill me if she sees me?” I say grabbing the back of my neck.
“No because she’s at therapy” she says as she starts leading me to her apartment.
Time skip
We enter the door immediately hearing moaning.
“Damn I didn’t know you lived at a porn hub studio”. I chuckle before getting elbowed in the rib by Tara.
We both go into her room looking at the stuff I’ve left at her house. I picked out a green flannel and a brown carhartt jacket I left to make myself look like Joel from the last of us. I already had jeans and boots on but then me and Tara decided to look for duck tape like he had on his boot like he had during episode 6. I put the tape on my boot and as I turn around I jump back and fear seeing a random red head behind me.
“Oh hello there” I hold out my hand but she never shakes it.
She turns to Tara “. First whos this and where are you going”
Tara rolls her eyes” this is Cat the one that comes over all the time for homework and I’m going to the OKB party.”
“ Well hello Cat I’m Quinn and didn’t Sam not want you to go”
“Well Sam doesn't want me to do a lot of things but it’s just a party what’s the most that can happen.”
I look up thinking what can in fact happen” A lot of things if you think about I-“ I cough as I get hit in the rib again this time harder and knock the breath out of me.
“Ok well be safe and remember to use protection” she looks at me” unless of course it’s not needed” she says as she raises her eyebrows.
She just exhales loudly and gently pulls me to the door.
Tara locks the door, putting her back to it. “I’m so sorry about that, she’s something”
“She really is” I chuckled as I put my arm around her shoulder as walked to the party.
Time skip
We arrived at the party and stuck together as she introduced me to her friends. First up Mindy and Anika.
“Hey guys I would like you to meet my friend Cat. She is the one I told you helps me with homework.” She says smiling.
The girl on the left raises her hand “Hello I’m Anika it’s nice to finally meet you Tara talks alot about you.”
“Really” I say, shaking her hand and looking at Tara who gives Anika a death stare.
The girl on the right that I now know is called Mindy just gives me a weird look.
“I don’t think she likes me,” I whisper to Tara.
“Mindy be nice to Tara's friend” she says gently pushing the girl.
“Hello Cat” she says in a monotone voice.
“Hello Mindy” I say, nodding my head down.
“Mindy,” Anika says sternly, pushing her arm up so that I can shake it.
I shake her hand but she uses her left hand to pull me close.
“Oh hey Alice didn’t see you there” Alice is the nice one but she’s scary becouse she’s like the third Meeks Martin sibling and I’ve heard Mindy broke someone’s nose because of some small reason”
“Hey Cat” she’s says while smiling but before I could say something else to Alice, Mindy stands up.
“I swear if you even think about hurting my girlfriend or Tara I will kill you and make sure it’s painful.” I pull back in shock and just decide to turn back to Tara.
I look over at Ankia before breaking out laughing as she does the same.
“What’s so funny” Mindy said snarling.
“One I would not hurt Tara and two me and Anika know each other, us three share the same scenduale.” All Mindy does is stare at me.
“Cats the one that helped me get a A on that project that I thought I would fail” Anika says ands she sits Mindy back down.
“I still don’t like you”
“I think we should see your other friends.” I say to Tara.
We start walking before I feel a hand on my shoulder, I turn around seeing Matthew. He’s my friend I’ve made since I’ve moved here. He’s been such a life saver, always helping you when you need him the most. One day I’ll repay him. He’s wearing a really good Batman suit but it’s probably because Liam made it but still it’s good.
He pulls off his mask. “Cat I didn’t expect you to ever be at a party, and who is this?” He says point at Tara.
“Well Matthew this is Tara and Tara this is Matthew he’s my friend that I’ve had since I’ve moved here, and this is Tara the one I study and do homework with, I’ve told you about her”
“Ahh I’ve never seen you, I've just heard great things about you” He says the last part slower.
“Anyways Cat I wanted to introduce you to my brother. I've told you about him but he finally decided to be at a party.” He says pulling me and Tara to where his brother is.
I turn the corner seeing a person in a lion costume ,from the wizard of oz, just standing there awkwardly. Just how Mattew described him
“Anthony meet my friend Cat and her friends Tara”
“Hey it’s nice to meet you. I've heard many stories about you. '' he says as he shakes my hand then Tara’s.
“I just wanted you to meet him but it’s good seeing you Cat and also remember that your project is due next Friday.” He says walking away back to the couch with Mindy and Anika.
“He’s nice, so is his brother but now let’s find my other friends” she says, pulling me to the kitchen.
Next friends are Chad, Ethan,Liam, and unnamed because she doesn’t know the name of the guy. Even though you know ethan and liam you don’t know chad.
We walk to the kitchen. The first thing I see is all the alcohol and a frat guy with box guy jumping around.
“Is that them?” I say pointing at them.
“Sadly yes” She said as I chuckled and walked towards them.
“Chad I want you to meet Cat she is my friend that I have all my classes with”
“Hey Cat it’s nice to meet you partner” He says in a southern voice firmly grasping my hand.
“Hey Cat” Ethan says doing the weird three finger wave. Even though Cat does it she still thinks it’s weird.
I hug Ethan and I see Liam behind him in a spiderman costume “I knew that the only party you would have went to had to be the one you would show off your suits”
He smiles “Yeah well I just fixed up the web shooters so I had to show them off.”
I heard someone talk behind me. I turn around to be shocked at who I see. It’s Johnathan, my best friend since like 2nd grade. I haven’t seen him since sophomore year, so about 2-3 years because I’m a freshman in college. We both hug each other and sit there staring. To most this might seem romantic but to us it’s just us reuniting. I grabbed his pork chops( facial hair) a little bit. He’s dressed up as a safari guy I think.
“You finally grew this out” he laughs as he looks to see Tara behind me.
“I didn’t expect so much people to be here, Johnathan this is Tara and Tara this is Johnathan”
They shake hands.
“ I can’t believe we ended up on the same collage”
“I can’t either it’s great to see my fake sister again” He says the inside joke to cat reminding her of the nickname.
Ethan,Liam, Chad, and Tara all give us a weird look.
“Well growing up he was basically a brother to me and because of how close we were, me and him pranked our 5th and 6th grade teacher into thinking we were siblings.”
“It was so funny at the end of the year when we told them.” We both laugh reminiscing about the past.
Time skip
At some point we all end up where Mindy and Anika were and everyone was there.
After a while I leave to use the restroom as Tara goes to get something to drink. I haven’t drank all night just because I knew that Tara was going to.
I come out and see Tara starting to head up with a guy and I could see that she was clearly more drunk than him.
“Hey woah man Tara’s good down here” I say at the end of the stairs.
He turns around and of course it’s the frat dick face Frankie “What did you say”
I feel Chad round the corner and I let him talk. “Hey partner like she said Tara’s good down here”
“No guys it’s fine really I want to” Tara tries to explain.
“Yeah she wants to” he says with a smug face. It takes all my power in my body to not punch him but I really don’t want assault charges right now.
“Come on” he says as he drags her, making her fall. Chad beats me to it and throws him twards he as I slams him into the wall. The second he takes two steps he gets slammed back into the wall by Chad. Frankie’s little “boyfriend” Max has to always save him so he tries to right hook me but he gets blocked by Johnathan who then inreturn punches him knocking him down. Before I can react to what happened with Max I feel myself get pushed, not lightly, harshly, I fall to the floor. So does Chad but he was able to stay up. Both him and Johnathan help me up as we watch what Sam is about to do.
“Hey I’m just going to tase you in the balls” She says then making him fall in agony.
“Sam What the fuck you’re stalking me now”she says while leaving the house.
I fist bump both the guys before running after her saying” I’ll go after her” As they all go to follow, Mattew kicks Frankie in the stomach and walks away like nothing happened.
I take off my jacket as I catch up to stopping her and I put it on her.
“It’s way too cold for you to not have a jaket, plus do you wanna wake up with a hangover and a cold no” I say as I put it on her but not before I hear Sam.
I see everyone behind her plus asher? I Barely know him but I know he goes to therapy from the one time I went but it’s weird to see he's friends with Sam but I mean they both do go to therapy so.
“Tara will you stop,” Sam yells. Even though she was stopped she was trying to get out of my hold.
“I can’t believe you did that, you embarrassed me” She yelled back she was going to keep walking before I kept my hand on her back.
“He was going to take advantage of you”
“So, If I wanna hook up with a asshole then that’s my decision”
“woah that’s kinda uhhh” I mumbled.
“It’s my life, you’re out of my life for 5 years and then you can’t leave me alone for 5 minutes.”
“Because your not dealing with what happens to us”
Asher was about to say something before I just said “don’t get into it” letting go of his shoulder.
“Have you gone to see the counselor once”
“No I’m not going to,” Tara said, waving her arms.
“Why”
“Because I’m uninterested in living in the past like you are” Tara said looking over to me watching me widen my eyes.
“What is that supposed to mean” Sam says but you can hear that she was hurt by that.
“Woah woah woah guys sorry for butting in but I mean let’s just be honest everyone wants to go home so let me try and understand this.” I point at Sam and Tara wall talking” Tara that seemed like a low blow but you think Sam is over protective and Sam doesn't see it that way.” They both nod their head. “Now I see both was I don’t want to bring myself into this but as an example I’ll use myself, I see both ways because when I was younger I use to have a Uncle that never let me go anywhere and he had that authority over me because he was like my father, I hated that I was never able to go anywhere and that I felt like I was in a prison, but as I got older I realize that he’s older than me and couldn't ever think of me being hurt so he decided that was the best way to protect me, and also because he was a cop so he knew the dangers over everything in the world,” I pause to take a deep breath” like ghost face, he encounters ghostface himself when he was younger and feared that I would to.” After I finished my sentence I noticed Tara had a sympathetic look but Sam was deep in thought.
“Dewey was your uncle wasn’t he” Sam says more in a calm tone.
“Yeah, as I got older I knew he did it to protect me not to do any harm, He was a great uncle even if he wasn’t biologically my uncle, Tara Sam just wants the best for you because she can’t bare to think of something happened to you, though it might be harsh she’s not doing it with ill intentions” I finish off by gently putting my left arm over her shoulder.
“I just want to protect you Tara”
“ I know it’s just I can’t protect myself now Sam” she paused. “I’m not going to let something that happened to us for three days define the rest of my life.” That was the worst thing she could have said because I felt the storm brewing once again.
“So you're just going to pretend it never happened” as Sam says that I lean off of Tara going back to watching the fight.
“What are you doing here, Sam in New York, your working two shitty jobs to help pay rent, whatever, but what is your plan, I know what I’m gonna do, okay because I’m going to keep going to collage, I’m going to get my degree and I’m gonna live my life,My life.”
“Ok I know”
“You just followed me here and you won’t let me out of your sight.”
“I’m just trying to look out for you” Sam said as I was able to notice the tears forming.
“I-“ I cut Tara off from talking with a hand on her shoulder and widening my eyes.
She runs her hand down her face” I know you are, you can’t do it for the rest of my life though.”
“You have to let me go”
Tara said as I winced at the saying hitting me too close to home.
“Hey” is all I hear before I see Sam covered in drink as I feel it then on my right arm but it’s only a little.
“What the fuck” is all I’m able to say before I see Sam being held back.
Out of everything with my mind being hazy and having to hold back Sam I hear “I didn’t do anything” Sam yelled, but what did she do?
After the random drunk girls and Sam break up I feel a poke at my side. “Hey Cat can you give me and possibly the others a ride home”
“Yeah that’s the reason I didn’t drink” I look at the others, “who needs a ride they all agree except for Sam. They all start to walk to my car.
I give her my keys to start the car.” I'll be there in a sec” I say putting them into her hand and running back. I take off my fanel. “There’s only a little bit of wetness on the right side but it’s better then what you have,” I hand it to her and stare at her for a sec” I’ll try and talk to Tara but she probably won’t talk to you for like 2 days but you know Tara she’s kinda hard headed sometimes”
“Thank you” was all I needed to hear from her before I ran back to the car.
Time skip
Once I put Tara in her room I started looking for headache medicine. Of course I don’t find it so I have to be awkward with them and ask.
“H-“ As I turned there was a sudden body infront of me.
“Woah didn’t mean to scare you there Cat” Johnathan laughed. I catch my breath. “So your really talking to your freshman crush”
“Lower your voice” I say in a stern voice.
“Sorry but I mean your crush you’ve had for so long is talking to you and you're just going to keep pushing the feelings away” He says looking down at me wishing I would keep eye contact.
“Yes but I mean you see how she is I can deal with my feelings it’s fine”
“No I don’t know where the pain medicine but I know you need to tell her”
“Oh fuck off like you talk from experience”
“That’s a low blow, I still miss Ashley” He says the end in a sad tone, we laugh for a moment before he leaves to sit next to Chad.
“Hey” Anika walkes by Johnathan as he sits down to come to the kitchen.
“Hey Anika”
“So you and Tara huh?” She says as she crosses her arms leaning against the door frame, all I do is roll my eyes.
“My gaydar is going off” I don’t pay attention to what Anika says and just keeps looking.
She grabs my shoulder to that I look at her“Cat me and you both know my gaydar does not lie, but for real Tara and you be a good couple plus I think she likes you”
“She doesn’t but I’ll think about it on Anika”
“Thank you”
“H- Oh fuck” I get scared by a sudden Mindy in my face. Anika walks off back to the couch.
“What are you doing in here”
“Do you know where the headache medics is so I can give it to everyone and Tara”
“Everyone and Tara,” she says, raising her eyebrow. I just stare at her.
“Fine” she reaches to the cannot and grabs it,” I’ll give it to everyone on the couch you give it to Tara.
I get to Tara’s room where Chad is leaning against the door.
“Hey, I got pain medicine and water”.I say as I lean on her desk.
“Thank you and also thank both of you for not letting me go up those stairs.” Tara says smiling.
“Tara, that's what friends are for. It just sucks that I wanted to get some punches in” Chad said and then punched the air. “ I’ll leave you two be” he says while closing the door.
I sat next to Tara on her bed, “I would not have let you go up those stairs even if you wanted to.”
“I’m happy you didn’t because I never realized how messed up I was” she says as I gently hit her shoulder with mine.
“Out of every frat boy you picked date rape Frankie really” Once she heard me say that she scrunches her face.
“Like I said I didn’t realize how messed up I was”. She says as she stares at my eye.
“Tara…. I think you’re really special, you’re like the star that lights up the bright sky.” I watch as she smiles at my complement. I watch as she then looks back into my eyes and then does the triangle stare. She leans a little closer.
“I’m not messed up anymore, just so you know” she says leaning closer where we’re just about to touch lips.
I hear the door open as we both pull away.
Quinn walks in “I forgot my phone”The moment of realization hit her “Did I just cockblock you”
“What did you just say” Tara said as I said “Cock what now”
“Cock blocked you, i cock blocked you didn’t I?”
“Immediately no,” Tara said, trying to make sure Sam never learns of this from her.
“I don’t even have a cock so n-“ I get cut off by Tara punching my rib “Cat your not making this any better”
“I cock blocked you”
“Please stop saying the word cock, what do you need” Tara says grabbing the bridge of her nose:
“My phone. It’s right here”
“Don’t ever enter a room like that again”
“I won’t”
“I should probably head out, it's already late and we have class tomorrow to get sleep and get sober and also I don’t want Sam to kill me because if my calculations are correct she should be getting home soon” I say as I make sure I have my keys and phone.
I leave the room and I hear Quinn start her apology.
“Hey I gotta go bye everyone and it was good seeing you again Johnathan.” I say opening the door and shutting it.
“Oh hey Sa-“ I say as she pushes me against the wall she may be shorter than me and less stronger than me she’s still scary.
“Why should I trust you, why should I trust you with Tara.”
“Jeez man what did I do to you calm down, you're really living up to the rumors.” Granted that was a low blow but she let me go.
“Sorry I’m just stressed with a lot of things I just don’t want another ghostface” Sam says now disappointed in herself.
“It’s all ok really I get it”
“Here is your flannel” She says handing me the flannel.
“Thank you, you know same you seem like a good wo-“ my phone rings, I take it out and see it’s detective James.
“Hello”
“Hey Cat, I need you to come down to the station” I hear James say.
“Wait why”
“Well the video of the little fight you had has been seen and you were one of the last to see him before Frankie and Max were killed” I hear detective Davis say with a chair creek.
“Shit I’m going right now” I say as I hang up.
“What happened?” Sam says gently, grabbing my arm.
“I have to go to the station, just make sure everyone goes home safe.” I say running to the station.
Time skip
I get to the station
As I enter the department I see detective Leo and he hugs me.
“Hey kid, how have you been and why are you here?” He says while squeezing my shoulder.
“Well I’m good but I’m here because I’m a suspect for a murder.” I say in a monotone voice.
He furrows his brows in confusion “Why do you say that like it’s nothing”
“Because I didn’t do it sooo”
“Ahh well I expected that but”
“Hey Cat” I hear detective Davis say as he puts his arm around me.
“Hey James and hi Davis” I wave at them as Davis comes up to me.
“Right this way C” Davis says while leading me to the investigation room.
As I walk through the hall I see Oliver and Jack giving a stare. I know Jack hates me but I don’t understand why, and Oliver is just overly obsessed with ghostface. It's kinda scary.
Davis is blue James is red and Cat is white
“So what is your alibi”
“I was at a party and then I went home with all my friends till now.”
“Can any of these friends be questioned and say the same thing”
“Yes you could ask Johnathan, Tara, Mindy, Ankia ,Ethan, Liam, Mattew, or Chad.”
“Wow”
“Yeah I came prepared this time”
“So did you stray away at anytime”
“Only before I fought Frankie”
“Wait so why did you do that”
“Was going to have sex with Tara but she was drunk and didn’t really consent with a straight mind”
“Yeah that’s a reason to fight someone but what about Max why did he fight you”
“Idk he just decided to try and step in in protect his friend”
“Guess we have no proof of you but we’ll call Chad and Johnathan anyways because of their involvement but I guess this is a close on our lead”
“It was great seeing you”
“Great seeing you” they both said as I walked out.
“Wo sorry about that Marly” I said while picking up the papers he dropped.
“Thank you for helping most would just step over”
“It’s ok man I’m not most people”
He smiled before his phone rang. He Answered it and talked only saying yes’s and no’s. He ended the call with a sigh.
“Sorry about that, both my sons asked for a ride home.”
“Here I’ll take the files to Leo go get your sons”
“Thank you so much,” He said as he ran off.
I drop the papers off at Leo’s desk but not before he starts following me.
“Cat, let me make sure you get home safely please.” He says with pleading eyes.
He drives behind me as I get home. When I close my front door it’s when he finally leaves. I walk up the stairs and into my house. Once I get into my house locking my door I get a moment of realization. The words he said replayed in my head.
The only times he says that and follows me home was when ghostface was involved. Meaning this isn’t just a normal murder it’s someone trying to frame me before the intro scene has even started.
—————————————————————————
W/n I rushed the end a little so if it’s bad I’m sorry but now to the title I had a long in mine but I decided on one from 505 hears the other options.
It seems like all our friends Abruptly fell in love-perfume by lovejoy
I was gonna say this is how Tara feels and how she’s scared to love someone and trust people after ghostface but I never did a Tara pov so.
And she was in the dust Darling, life was streaming past- perfume by lovejoy
I want a chapter to be named this but I am still figuring out what I should make Cat think in moments .
Not shy of a spark The knife twists at the thought that I should fall short of the mark- 505
A funny thing get it knife twist ghost face ha ha so funny(it’s not)
She knows what I think about And what I think about- sweater wheather
I could not capture there emotions good.

POV You
New York has always been my home, my safe place. The hustle and bustle of the streets during the day and the background noise 24/7 relax me in a strange way. Born and raised on the Upper East Side, in Manhattan, and I know the city like the back of my hand.
My life felt like the one in the movies, when the protagonists explore and live every part of New York. Sometimes I even feel like I live inside the Gossip Girl series and that everything is perfect.
But let's face it, nothing is perfect and happiness is not eternal.
Yes, I live in a 300 square meter duplex and also, in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in all of New York. But what is the use of having such a big house, when your parents are never home and you are an only child.
Because one thing is clear and that is that to live where I do, you have to have money and a lot of it. But for my parents that has never been a problem.
Both my mother and father come from wealthy families, but other than that; my father is one of the best surgeons in the entire state and my mother has her own law firm. So the two generate a good sum of money.
But that also means one thing: travel. My parents have spent their lives traveling from one part of the state to another, either because the clients are very important or because of some kind of congress or some of those things.
But in their defense I have to say that they always call me to find out how I am, they are interested and concerned about me. In addition to the fact that when they are at home, they usually try to spend as much time as possible with me and try to be there for me.
And now that I'm in college, I'm officially living alone. My parents thought that I would like to have my own apartment and decided to buy me a flat for my birthday. Of course, it is a ten minute walk from where they lived and thus be close in case I need anything.
Although first they would have to be at home to help me, but I don't object since they let me choose the floor and the decoration.
XX: Hey .- I hear someone greet me, taking me out of my thoughts and returning me to reality.
I turn my head to the right, meeting the person who greeted me and I can't help but smile at his presence.
Y/n: Hello.- I greet with a huge smile full of emotion, causing the other person to laugh and sit next to me in class.
XX: What makes you so happy? - she asks me funny leaving her bag on the table.
Y/n: My girlfriend.- I answer shrugging my shoulders.
XX: Oh yes? - she asks me with too much interest and I nod. -And do I know her?- she asks resting her elbow on the table and her chin in the palm of her hand watching me.
Y/n: I don't know, maybe.- I answer with a grimace imitating her posture. -She has almost black dark brown hair, she has brown eyes, she is super intelligent, she has the most beautiful smile in the world and she is 1.55 cm tall. Do you know her? - I ask her funny.
XX: I'm not sure.- she says with a thoughtful face. -The description seems familiar to me, but I don't fall for it.- she denies with false disappointment.
Y/n: What a pity, because I was thinking of inviting her to eat and to see a movie, but I haven't seen her so nothing.- I comment letting out a fake sad sigh.
XX: Well, invite me then.- she suggests with an amused smile.
Y/n: I'm sorry Carpenter, but I'm a faithful man.- I shake my head, holding back my laughter and looking away.
Tara: Idiot.- she slaps me gently on the shoulder, letting out a laugh and causing me to do it too.
Y/n: But you like me that way.- I assure her with a smile, placing a lock of hair behind her ear and caressing her cheek affectionately.
Tara: Unfortunately.- she whispers frustrated rolling her eyes.
Y/n: Hey! - I exclaim offended, sitting upright in my chair and looking at her with crossed arms.
Tara: Just kidding.- she laughs hugging my neck and getting me closer to her. -I like you very, very, very much.- she assures me a few centimeters from my face.
Y/n: I don't know, I´m not sure.- I say with narrowed eyes. -You don't convince me.- I deny holding the smile that struggles to come to light.
Tara: And what can I do to convince you? - she asks a few centimeters from my lips and with an intense look.
Y/n: Food and a movie? - I ask appreciating her face in detail, or how little I can see with her closeness. -They have premiered a quite passable comedy.- I warn her with a slight smile, knowing that because of her past, the scary ones are a resounding NO and I understand it perfectly.
Tara: I can't.- she denies with a slight grimace and my smile disappears. - Mindy wants to try a new restaurant and if I disappear for a whole afternoon Sam would go crazy.- she explains and I nod.
Y/n: Maybe another day .- I sigh a little sadly, since we don't usually have many opportunities to spend time together and the truth is that I wanted to spend some time with her.
Tara: I promise you that this week we'll go eat together, okay? - she tells me and I nod again. -Thank you for understanding.- she whispers affectionately, before joining our lips and moving them slowly.
The kiss doesn't last long, as the teacher enters the class and everyone sits in their places. As the teacher explains today's material, I can't help but tune out what he says and think about my relationship.
I met Tara on the first day of class six months ago, when I was late because of traffic and the only free seat was next to her.
In the beginning, she always kept quiet and never spoke to me unless it was strictly necessary. But in the third week, they asked us to do a job in pairs and because we were sitting next to each other we had to do the work together.
In addition to the fact that she did not have many other options, since if she spoke to me only what was necessary, she had not even told her name to the rest of the class. So really I was her only option to do the job with.
During the first days when we did the work, Tara always kept a certain distance and limited herself to only talking about the work. At no time did she show interest in me as a person and in getting to know me.
So to avoid making her uncomfortable, I never asked her anything personal or anything that wasn't about work. And clearly, i didn´t tell her anything about myself either.
But at some point during the job, she began to feel more comfortable and became a little closer. She even came to ask me about my life and has told me some things about hers.
Two weeks later, though, Tara would admit to me that she had lied to me about a few things, like that she wasn't really from Michigan but from Woodsboro and that the scar on her hand didn't come from a kitchen accident, but that someone had attacked her disguised as Ghostface half a year ago or so.
At first I was surprised by her story and she apologized for lying to me, but she didn't feel safe to tell me the truth until that moment. I understood, since it doesn't have to be pleasant to live that experience and have someone as close as your best friend try to kill you.
That makes anyone distrust all the people they know and those they will meet at some point in their life.
So I didn't give it any importance and I didn't ask her any questions on the subject. Mostly because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable or stop talking to me forever.
From the first moment I thought that Tara was a very pretty girl, but with time and getting to know her a bit more, I cannot deny that certain feelings began to surface.
So I didn't want her to freak out over some stupid question i did and decided I wasn't to be trusted or something like that and then stop talking to me.
Although the unthinkable happened two weeks later, when we said goodbye after class I went to kiss her on the cheek and she accidentally moved, causing me to kiss her on the lips.
We were both shocked and embarrassed at the moment, but she just asked me if I would be interested in a coffee one day and a week later we were a couple.
Couple now of four and a half months more or less. And even though I couldn't be happier and feel like the luckiest man in my life, to have the most wonderful woman in the world as my girlfriend. Not everything is so perfect and happy.
It took a while for Tara to be completely alone and vulnerable with me. Which I understood perfectly and always let her decide the place of our dates.
On the other hand, it is also the fact that nobody knows that we are together or even that we are friends. I'm lying. No one of her friends and sister know that we are a couple or that we even know each other.
At first, the privacy of our relationship was understandable, since as I said before, because of her past it was difficult for her to trust people and something similar happened to her friends. But her sister was somewhat more possessive or at least that's what my girlfriend always tells me.
When I've asked her why we still keep our relationship or even friendship a secret, the answer is always the same: Sam.
She says that she is very overprotective and that she is always trying to control her. Besides, she doesn't trust new people, let alone love interests, since her ex-boyfriend was one of the murderers last year.
So her sister Sam's reason was quite understandable from my point of view, since at the end of the day all she wants is to protect her sister and make sure she's safe .
But that means that the time I spend with Tara, my girlfriend, is very limited and seems to always be timed.
I'm never going to complain about it, but it's hard for me to see couples making plans and spending time together, when I can't spend more than half an hour with my own girlfriend without someone texting her to find out where she is or if she is safe.
Every time I propose a plan, whether it's to eat something after classes, go for a walk or go to a cafeteria for a coffee, most of the time the answer is negative.
I don't even know how many times she has canceled me and promised to do the plan another day. At first I kept count unconsciously and tried to take her word for it. But over time I have stopped doing it.
It's sad and painful to tell the truth, especially when my friends; who do know that I have a girlfriend, ask me about her and about  when they will meet her and stuff like that.
But I really like Tara and although this situation hurts me at times, she is worth it.
And who knows, maybe at some point she will get encouraged and introduce me to her friends as her boyfriend, or like a friend at least.
POV Tara
I leave my last class of the day, kissing my boyfriend goodbye and walking to where I know my friends are waiting for me.
I can't help but feel bad for rejecting Y/n's plan, because it's not the first time I've done it and I'm sure it won't be the last. I feel guilty for not giving him the time he deserves and even more so seeing how thoughtful he's been during class.
Y/n is the perfect guy and I don't understand how lucky I've been to meet him. He is attentive, calm, a bit of an idiot; but in a good way, he is affectionate, funny, he gives me my space and always respects my limits.
He didn't even get angry when I admitted that I had lied to him about most of the things I told him about myself, and he didn't stop treating me differently when he found out the truth.
He continued to treat me in the same respectful and kind way he had done since the day we met. And I think that was one of the things that made me fall in love with him.
But lately I'm being the worst girlfriend in the world. Between working on other subjects, my friends who have been too present in my plans lately, and my sister who doesn't let me breathe, I don't have a free moment to be with him.
Because let's face it, there would be nothing I would want more than to go eat something with him and then cuddle against him watching a movie. Because he doesn't remind me of Woodsboro, doesn't overprotect me or control me like I'm going to get jumped at any moment. He treats me like a normal person without a traumatic past and i love that.
With him I feel calm, I feel happy and normal. With him I'm just Tara Carpenter the girl he likes, not Tara Carpenter the survivor of Ghostface, the Tara who was betrayed by her own best friend and tried to kill her three times. And that's another reason why I adore him.
Mindy: There 's my girl!- she exclaims when she sees me nearby.
Anika: Hey! - she claims, slapping her on the arm. -I'm your girl.- she reminds her with an amused smile.
Mindy: Don't worry babe, there's Mindy for everyone.- she assures her with a smile, putting her arm around her shoulders and bringing her closer to her body.
Chad: Besides, Tara's my girl.- he says jokingly, putting his arm around my shoulders and winking at me.
Ethan: Are you guys together?- He asks pointing at Chad and me with confusion and something else that I can't make out in his eyes.
Mindy: He wish.- she laughs at the question and the rest except Ethan and Chad laugh.
Quinn: Tara is a too much of a woman for Chad.- My roommate supports my best friend and they high five.
Chad: Hey! - He exclaims offended and I come out from under his shoulder.
Tara: And if it's not clear, no Ethan, we're not together.- I reply to the shy boy laughing with my friends.
Ethan: Oh, like .. you , you know.- he says nervously, pointing to where his roommate is and where I had been a few moments ago.
Tara: Well no.- I answer with a friendly smile. -And … Are we leaving or not?- I ask wanting to change the subject.
Mindy : Yessss .- she answers with her arms in the air. -I've heard that it's one of the best Mexicans in all of New York and that its tacos are to die for.- she tells us excitedly, starting to walk and heading towards the restaurant she's been talking about for days.
Chad: Changing the subject completely - he starts while we're walking as a group. -Tomorrow is Friday and Halloween .- he hums happily.
Tara: I doubt that Sam will let me out no matter how much it's Halloween or Christmas. - I deny crossing my arms, angry with my sister and her way of controlling everything I do.
Chad: Oh come on Carpenter, are you not going to your first college Halloween party because your sister forbids you? - he asks me with a false pout.
Anika: Chad, leave her alone.- she tells her girlfriend's brother in my defense.
Chad: It's our time to enjoy.- he assures us with a huge smile. -Fuck Sam and let's enjoy that we're still alive! - he exclaims trying to convince us.
Mindy: I keep wondering how come your brain hasn't had a short circuit with all the nonsense you say.- she tells her brother with a frown and a little amusement .
Chad: Because I'm right and you know it.- He points at her with a contagious smile.
As the brothers start poking each other, I'm left thinking and Chad has a point. I've been in New York for six months and I haven't been to any college party or event other than classes because of Sam.
That is to say, I can't even arrive home more than an hour late after class, because if I arrive a little later, my cell phone is already burning and organizing a search team.
My boyfriend hasn't even been to my apartment, because my sister would go crazy that I have a close friend and even more if she finds out he's my boyfriend. I mean, there's a reason I haven't told Sam that I have a boyfriend.
Tara: As much as it pains me to say it, Chad is right.- I interrupt the twins, causing everyone's attention to be on me and some to look at me in surprise.
Chad: What did you say? - he asks me with an amused smile, placing his hand next to his ear and bringing him closer to me .
Tara: You're right.- I growled amused. -Sam has her psychologist on Fridays, so she won't be home to know if I'm going out or not.- I commented with a look full of security.
Chad: Yes ! - he exclaims happily punching the air. -Party? - he asks me with a smile full of emotion.
Tara: Party.- i agree with a smile.
Mindy : Sounds good to me.- she nods, shrugging her shoulders and starts to talk about costumes.
As we all start talking about costume ideas and tomorrow's plan. Quinn tells us that she can't go, since she has a date with a guy from tinder and knowing her, I know well not to be home tomorrow.
While Chad tells us about the parties that there will be and the different fraternities that give them, I secretly take out my cell phone and look for a contact in my messages.
I find the contact immediately, entering the chat and letting Y/n know about my plans for tomorrow.
The answer is not long in coming and the smile on my face increases in size unconsciously. He tells me that his friends are also going to the same party and that he had no intention of going out. But now that he knows I'm going out, he assures me that he will find a costume and that he will see me at the party tomorrow without fail.
I couldn't be more excited right now. Tomorrow I'm going out with my party friends, without Sam and her excessive control. I will see my boyfriend and I plan to take advantage of a moment of inattention on the part of my friends, to spend time with him and enjoy the party by his side.
And who knows. Maybe after the party, I can sneak him into my apartment and do what I've been wanting to do for a while now.

a/n: I did not proof read this, it’s well after 3am right now and I REALLY wanna get this out so if something goes wrong, I can correct it another time. Now, enjoy this very self indulgent fic. Because it is not a reader one, and uses my Self Insert as the main character. Kiss my ass, its fun. I reblog x reader stuff all the time, go support those writers <3 they do it better. There's also some fun details I added, including an Easter egg some scream fans who are also gamers may notice. Have fun!
[Outside The College - Third Person POV]
It was the end of the week, a sunny day, gleaming streaks of clouds streaming across the sky. The best kind of day to sit in the shade of a tree in front of college campus. The final bell rang out, signalling the end of this week’s classes as the students flooded out of the hallways, amongst them was a small, long black-haired figure swiftly shuffling through the open dam of students. Their feet clicking, stomping and scraping across the pavement leading from the front doors.
Down the pathway walked the figure, as the rest loomed over them, until they met a wooden table that sat a group of familiar faces. Chad, his twin sister Mindy, her girlfriend and new girl Anika, and other new guy Ethan, who sat opposite their close friend with freckles littering her face, a deep scar that decorated her hand in a crescent, Tara.
“Hi, Saileach!” A soft voice piped up from beside Mindy. The bright appearance and demeanour of the girl matched the voice.
“Hi, Anika!” They responded with a grin. They sat down on the opposite end of the bench to Tara, leaving a space for the one who had yet to show up. “That final exam was a motherfucker, wasn’t it? What a load of shite question 7 was, too.” They sat their bag down beside them on the concrete square amongst the grass that their table was bolted to, “What kind of torturer came up with that paper?”
“Jokes on you losers, I didn’t take a film studies course,” Chad teased, a hint of a smug smile creeping on his lips, while Saileach pulled out their phone to text someone, responding without glancing up from their screen.
“Ah, yes, because physical education and the study of frat parties is completely stressless,” the group turns their attention back to them, “fuckin eejit…” they tease, a playful grin growing on their own lips. “When are you gonna be here?” Saileach sends a text to their closest friend, jumping when they hear a matured voice coming from behind them.
“I am here,” Tara and Saileach immediately turn their attention behind them, seeing Tara’s older sister standing tall over the both of them, “You just weren’t paying attention,” The taller, and older, woman sends a knowing glance at the dwarf, raising an eyebrow with a subtle smirk that only her sister and closest friend would be able to notice. Sam didn’t go to their college, after all she was a fair number of years older than all of them, being 5 years older than her sister. However, since she couldn’t keep them safe inside the school, she opted to meet them outside of it every day instead, something that Saileach looked forward to every time.
“If by paying attention you mean having eyes on the back of my head, then uh, no. No I wasn’t,” They retort, patting the space between themselves and the younger Carpenter, allowing Sam to slip in and settle down herself. She had a habit of using her body to guard the two people she held closest. She refused to let anyone cause Saileach to make that pained, terrified expression they made when they saw Richie pining her to the floor of Stu Macher’s old house, or to let anyone’s knife carve her sister’s flesh while she wasn’t there again. The fear in their eyes reminding her too much of a child that was being stared down by their angry, drunken parent, and the sight of her sister vulnerable in a hospital bed causing her to lose sleep over the nights she wished she never left. But if she didn’t, she might not have met them. She gave a sneaking glance to the distracted person tucking their knees into themselves beside her, mentally smiling to herself.
“Wow, the snark is just radiating from the table today! I’m proud of you all, as the resident master in attitude, you make me glad to have you as students,” Mindy couldn’t help but stick herself into the conversation, even more so to give herself props, as she wraps an arm around her girlfriend’s waist. Not that surprising, and no one could really deny her title either.
“Well, its the end of the week, and we have one more day before we have two weeks off and have to come back to this hell hole,” Chad takes no time in changing the conversation, “I’m going to be partying and living off beer the whole time, what about you guys?” changing it so he can turn it into something alcohol related, of course. The rest of the group enters a collective sound of questioning hums. Ethan is the first to answer with a tut of dismissal.
“Not really anything-…” He tries to answer but is cut off by Chad.
“Wrong!” He says, patting Ethan’s back with a firm hand, “I am gonna get you laid, man. I swear to you, these next two weeks you and I will be drowning in women, got it?” The younger man can only stutter over his response, before caving and agreeing to join Chad on his two-week party plan. Mindy and Anika both agree to join them.
“You two gonna hop on the train as well?” Anika raises an eyebrow, gesturing a nod towards the two sandwiching Sam between them.
“Well…” Tara starts.
“No. Not a chance. Neither of you are going to some frat group’s house party, let alone multiple over two weeks!” Everyone turns to Sam, who answered for Tara before she could finish.
“What? You can’t stop me from having fun for two weeks, Sam!” Tara gestures angrily to Sam, then to her friends. Unlike Saileach, she wanted her sister to back off and stop being so protective.
“Sam, hey, I promise we’ll look after her, right guys?” The jock makes a promise to the older sister, after all, she knew how much he cared for Tara. But could she really let her beloved little sister off to some frat party with drunk idiots who would probably just forget their job two beers in? Her nerves are settled just a little bit when Saileach gently holds her sleeve, and suggests they have a smaller “practice party” tonight at her and Tara’s apartment.
“Look, I’m against anyone, especially Tara, going to any big drunken parties as you are, Sam,” They gently rest their palm on top of hers, “But we can’t stop her from going through life like everyone else, maybe this will prove Chad and Mindy can make sure she’s safe, yeah?” After a long pause and taking a deep breath, noticing the mild offence on Anika and Ethan’s face at Saileach not including them, eventually agreeing on the practice party.
The group eventually settles down, each heading back to their respective apartment complexes. Chad headed back with Ethan, Mindy and Anika stuck together as usual to go back to their apartment, Sam and Tara went back to join Quinn, who they predictably would probably end up walking in on yet another of her sex positive afternoons. Saileach meanwhile was the only one who didn’t live with a member of the group, because all the apartments were filled. Instead, they took the apartment just across from Sam and Tara’s, and stayed with a guy called Danny. Luckily, their apartment view had a clear sight into Sam and Tara’s kitchen, so they could rest easy knowing they weren’t too far away.
[In Sam And Tara’s Apartment]
As expected, when the sisters came home, Quinn was indeed having sex. Again. Everyone had been assigned a task for the night. Mindy was to choose the movie line up, Chad was to go out and buy the drinks, and Saileach & Tara were to team up and goo buy the snacks.
While Tara was getting ready to head out with Saileach to get the snacks, which everyone had personally made requests for, Sam decided to clean up the place a little bit and get comfortable before everyone got there. Quinn had said goodbye to that evening’s fun, and bumped into the taller brunette in the kitchen, washing some dishes.
“I am never bringing that one over again,” She groaned, leaning her elbows on the kitchen island. She had noticed Sam peeking out the window in intermittent glances, and when she got up to check for herself what the fuss was about, a hint of red had creeped its way across Sam’s cheeks. “Ooo,” She cooed, “Is someone staring at mister cute abs again?” Quinn had caught a peek at a set of arm muscles moving just barely out of view, trying in vain to get another peek for herself.
“Drop it, Quinn…” Sam countered, cutting off her roomie’s teasing before it could go further. She placed another clean dish in the drying rack.
“Aw, come on! He’s hot as all get out, and you clearly has a thing for you, too,” The red-head sauntered over to Sam, despite her glare she kept pressing the issue, “I’ve seen him peeking through the window as well~” She drew out that last part in a sing song.
“I said no, and you know why,” Sam’s tone was getting harsher, more blood rushing to her face and ears, “I’m not ready for something like that,” She pushed herself off the edge of the kitchen sink, “Now, if you’ll excuse me?” She turned to Quinn before walking off to get dressed, leaving her to take a few more cheeky looks out the window alone.
“Sam, I’m heading out!” Tara called out, in response to a frail knock on their apartment door. She opened it, peering down ahead of time, knowing who was waiting, “Hi, Sail,” She greeted the dwarf with a bright grin, “You ready to go?” She asked.
“I should be asking you,” They gestured to the apartment, brushing a strand of their pitch dark hair behind their ear, “I did come to your door after all.” They teased with a raised brow.
“Alright, smart ass, lets go,” She walks out, shouting in, “See you in a bit, Sam!” And shutting the door behind her.
“Be careful!” Her sister shouted back, but the door had shut on her before she could even finish her sentence, and the two were gone.
[At The Corner Store]
A bell dings above the glass door, which was framed by windows that granted a completely clear view to the shelves stocked with chocolate, crisps, nuts, and the fridges in the back that glowed with a dull, white light, illuminating the bubbly beers, sweet soft drinks and fizzy sodas that lined the shelves behind the glass.
“Good evening, Mr Hackett!” A soft voice called out, the small frame that belonged to it following suit with another fairly taller one as second one repeated what the first said, their dark hair melding together in the bodega owner’s peripheral, creating a blob of moving colours mixing in black, peach and white.
“Good evening, Saileach, good evening, Tara,” The older man didn’t look up from his news paper which he was staring at hard enough to damn near burn a hole through, his reading glasses resting comfortably on the bridge of his nose, “What brings you both here this late?” He asked, a hint of the tone of an old friend on the tip of his tongue.
“An absolute bender!” The smaller customer excitedly answered the familiar clerk, spinning on the heel of their thick, black boots to walk backwards, their hands casually in the pockets of their black zip up. Tara granted a smiling glance towards the banter the two were having, grabbing a bag from the rack to keep their bounty of food in.
“Do you mean a quote-unquote “bender” of a single night?” The middle-aged man teased, sending a sly smirk and a glance towards the exaggerated feign of shock on Saileach’s face, the creases on their skin bending and warping their dark lipstick and eyeliner.
“Aye, sure, sure,” They give a light-hearted response from their curled lips, before turning back to their shopping buddy to get ready for the night’s drink-filled activities. They followed the taller girl around, nabbing some snacks and tossing them into the bag. The two peacefully exchanged some small talk, until Tara asks a question that pulls the fun energy out of the conversation, for Saileach anyway.
“Has Sam seemed a bit…off to you?” She asked absentmindedly, glancing at the shelves.
“In what way?” They briefly pause in their tracks so as to not go too far ahead of Tara.
“As in, she seems kinda distant these days,” She turns her eye contact back down beside her, “I’ve seen her taking looks out the window with a smile on her face, I think she has a thing for that cute boy you live with, eh?” She giggles, “She always did have a thing for muscles.” She teased her sister behind her back about the pack of muscles she saw Sam staring at from the kitchen on numerous occasions.
“Does she?” Suddenly the tension in their muscles rose. The colour draining from their face, turning it more pale than their makeup was able to cover up, but just enough that Tara couldn’t notice between her half-second glances from them and the shelves.
“I think so, though I don’t blame her, if I was her I’d wanna get with that too.” She chuckled.
“Hm, interesting…” That was the last conscious sentence they made for the rest of the shopping trip. The only thing they could hear was the heated blood rushing in their ears, a cacophony of a nearby waterfall of blood in both their mind and under their skin, the bell ringing with each customer that went in and out of the glass which fragilely housed their mind, the shuffling of feet with the moving bags and the muffled sounds of Tara talking to them in the background, blissfully unaware of the grip Saileach had on their own palm, their knuckles turning a dead white, and their nails leaving crescent grooves into their own flesh under the safe disguise of their zip-up’s pockets. All they could do was run on auto-pilot, keep it to themselves by dissociating, and keeping up the mask of normalcy over the darkening of their eyes in hopes Tara wouldn’t notice their dead, ghostly appearance matching their droning, lifeless behaviour. They felt like all but a worming mound of disgust and anger wrapped in a poorly stitched together suit of human flesh. They swore they could feel the frame of their bones that kept them from collapsing into a gelatinous glob of immovable tissue and blood. The smell of everything reeked, making their stomach churn in a desperate effort to not chuck up them lunch they had earlier. They could feel the cold air of the nearby fridges ticking the hairs in their nose. They couldn’t take it anymore, they needed out. It was a death trap being in this small glass and brick cage, an asylum cell that could comfortably keep you alive for weeks or months on end but smelled, sounded and felt so terribly claustrophobic and rotten. Was that musk of decaying meat real, or just their heavy, manual breathing making them lightheaded? They couldn’t know for sure. Get me out. Out. Home. I want to go home. That was all they could think. It plagued their mind like the incessant buzzing of a blue-bottle or a song they just couldn’t escape no matter how many radio channels they cycled between. It was torture. It was suffocating. It was-
“That’ll be 24.95.” It was peaceful. The sound of a gentle bodega clerk, the repetitive pinging of the till as he swiped the snacks across the barcode scanner that gleamed with a red stain reflecting on his glasses. Tara making brief small talk with him was music on their sensitive ears.
“Thanks, Mr Hackett,” She said, taking the last of the snacks and returning them to the bag, slinging it over her curled fingers, “See you later, bye!”
“Cya, old man.” Saileach gave a light-hearted farewell to the man over the counter, giving him a fist bump which they could barely manage over the height of the damn thing.
“Don’t get into too much trouble, ya pair of gremlins!” He jokingly called out with a chuckle, as the two carried their bounty of food out into the darkening streets of the warmer than average winter evening.
“Ah,” Saileach gave a masked content sigh, taking in the flickering heat of the setting winter sun, “January embers, eh? Gotta love em!” They expressed their love for warm winter nights, despite the warning they gave of the degrading climate. The heat of summer being their worst nightmare, and the cold of winter turning their sensitive skin into a mass of exposed nerves that couldn’t bare to be touched by even the most delicate of hands, lest said hands wished to be departed from their length appendages.
“Stop quoting IT and lets go,” Damn it, Tara knew her horror, “the others are probably waiting for us at the apartment.” Tara gently grabbed at the Dwarf’s sleeve, and began dragging them down the road to their shared apartment complex.
“Correction, they’re probably waiting for the snacks at the apartment,” They followed the taller girl’s pull, “We’re just the delivery people that drop your pizza off before you tell em to eat shite and keep the change.” They joke with a chuckle, knowing their friends would never treat them that way, nor would they. They had all become something of a family over the past year or so. Their trauma fusing them all together like a fire that welded the metal of a shield piece to piece. They mentally gagged at that thought, knowing damn well if they said it to the group out loud they’d be ragged to hell and back. With love of course.
“Well this delivery girl lives in the apartment their using, and bought the food she’s delivering,” she boasted, gesturing to herself with the bag in her hand.
“What does that make me, then?” Saileach questioned trailing slightly behind the youngest Carpenter. If she was the delivery girl who were you in this metaphorical joke of a scenario that you yourself made up?
“The um…” The girl gave a tsk between her pondering pause, “other delivery person?”
“Slick, love,” You retort, “very slick.” The rest of the walk home was mostly silent, only broken up by mutterings of “go” when the lights signalled that it was okay to cross the busy New York streets. Saileach couldn’t help but think back to the store. Again. Their sickness took over again. This was the third time this month, and they’d only been getting worse. What was the common factor between the incidents? They knew it was jealousy. They were autistic, not stupid. Why, though? And over who? Each incident involved different people. First over their friends, in which Tara herself had to calm them down after Anika and Ethan had gotten involved with everyone. Ironically, after that it was Tara, that incident had been the worst. Until this evening. They mentally tossed it aside, letting it flow away for now like water off a duck’s back. Best not to dwell when tonight was going to be so fun! Right? Little did they know, Tara had been sneaking concerned glances the entire walk over since they had paid for the food. Whether they noticed it or not, she wasn’t sure, but them pausing for a full 5 seconds after she mentioned Sam’s feelings for Danny was kind of hard to miss. She decided to leave it for now, and let the fun of the night roll on.
[At Sam And Tara’s Apartment]
“We’re back!” Saileach chimed, taking the bag off of Tara’s hands and setting it on the coffee table in front of the couches and TV.
“Ayo! Welcome back, party animals!” Chad shouted across the room, quickly jogging over and wrapping an arm around the each of them, a beer in one of his hands. A big cheesy grin on his tipsy face.
“I assume you got the drinks then, big guy.” Saileach planted a supportive hand on the much taller guy’s chest, earning a mildly confused glare from a relaxed Sam, resting an arm over the couch and a beer in her hand too.
“That I did!” He cheered, “Let me get you one!”
“Cheers, that’d be grand,” They agreed, “No beer, though!”
“Welcome back,” she greeted them softly, “How’s Mr Hackett?” She asks, before turning her eyes back to Mindy who had gave a cheer when they came through the door, and had now left Anika’s side and gotten up to go choose the movie they’d start with.
“Uh, he’s good,” Saileach nods in response awkwardly sitting on the same couch she was, but giving her a few feet of space.
“Is that it..?” She turns her gaze to them, her fingers toying with the thread coming loose on the top of the couch.
“Mhm, why?” They got comfortable against the soft cushions resting against their back, Tara doing the same on the floor between the two. Chad came back in with a drink for Saileach and a beer for Tara. “Thanks, Chad.” They muttered, before turning their attention back to Sam.
“You’re not very chatty, you okay?” She asks, trying to hide the genuine worry on her face. The dwarf was usually much more upbeat, but when they came through the door it was like something was plaguing their mind. Did something happen between them leaving the apartment and coming back? It had only been about an hour, but a lot can happen in a few minutes, let alone a full hour, she supposed. Come to think of it, they didn’t see each other when Tara left. Were they this way before that? Did their roommate upset them? God help him if he did.
“I’m fine, just tired from the walk sure,” They just brushed off her concerns. Normally they’d share all their worries with Sam, so why not this? It made her feel as if she had done something wrong, but she wanted Tara’s first time drinking to be fun and not depressing, she owed her sister that much for always being on her back the past year, “I’ll feel better with a few drinks in me!” They chuckled with a soft grin. Fake. So so fake. She could tell.
“Okay!” Mindy shouted out, “Movie time!” She had got the perfect movie for the group to start the night with: A Nightmare On Elm Street. She put the movie on and everyone settled down with their drinks and preferred bowls of snacks.
“Aye, sure, a great movie franchise to watch through before you go to bed. Thanks, Mindy!” Saileach’s sarcasm was like a venom dripping from their accent, their playful smile holding the same effect as the tone of their voice, before they take another swig from their bottle.
“You’re just a coward who can’t handle classic horror, actually, little miss Elevated Horror.” The expert on spooky movies teased. In response, both Tara and Saileach spoke up with the same claim.
“It’s better!”
“Bullshit! Nothing beats the classics!” The night basically continues like this for a while, Tara and Saileach making jabs with Mindy and Ethan defending the classics. Playfully of course.
“Hey, uh, Sail could you quickly grab my phone from my bedroom?” Sam spoke up when the dwarf stood up to grab another bottle from the kitchen, “I think I left it on my bedside table.”
“Yeah, of course!” Their words mildly slurred, being decently far through the drinks and movies by this point. They were onto the third one now.
“Thanks.” Sam turns her attention back to the movie. They walk off down the hallway, reaching the older Carpenter’s door. Sam was usually strict on who could enter, Saileach was just an exception to her rule of “No one in my room unless you’re bleeding or dying.” She of course wasn’t entirely serious, but she liked her privacy. The two had a number of nights where they had slept in her room, usually because the smaller person had nightmares that gave them terrible insomnia, so she allowed it. They walked in, immediately seeing her phone on the beside table where she said it was. They crawled over the bed, reaching across to the wooden table to grab it. The sender down wood of the table was smooth, a turned off lamp resting on its corner. Saileach noticed the small drop pattern of blood that had decorated the wood from a bad cut Sam had gotten making dinner a number of weeks back. At that memory, their lips curl into a small smile, before they walk back in and toss her mobile device into her lap.
“Thanks, again.” She gave a quick smiling glance in appreciation.
“Yeah, no problem…” The last part of their sentence trailed off as they watched Sam open their messages, and the name Danny popped up. The poisonous reminder of the earlier events that night came back into their mind. That nagging feeling of something they cared so deeply about being taken away by another thing they cared about. A glance Sam had sent in the direction of you and Danny’s apartment with a smile on her face made Saileach feel sick. All they could think of was what he was saying to make her smile, while they sat opposite with a drink in their hand, stuck in their own head, and unable to process their own jealousy. Eventually they had enough, and swore to keep it out of their head, and just have fun. At that, they started downing their new bottle of alcohol, getting the attention of the whole room.
“Woah! Take it easy there, dude!” Mindy called out with a laugh. The energy in the room rose more and more over the next hour, the dwarf starting to get into off balanced territory. However, slowly the group started getting concerned. Tara, Sam and Anika most of all because the other three were either too distracted to notice the mess of a person growing in front of them, or they were too drunk. That last one mostly applying to Ethan. Though, eventually even they catch on. It’s clear that Saileach is a bit too drunk, and they start to communicate an agreement to take them to bed.
“Hey, slow down there, champ!” Chad speaks up with a laugh of his own, gently resting his large, warm hand on his friend’s shoulder. They weren’t the closest, but they still cared for each other. Knowing the headache they were gonna have to deal with in the morning, he finally asked them if they wanted to go to bed.
“Nnnnno…I’m fiineee *hic*,” Their soft voice slurred, “I promish!” Which was all they could get out before Tara dragged her small frame from the floor she had previously been resting on, wobbling slightly on her own feet, having taken two beers of her own.
“I’ll take them to bed,” She gently reached her arms out to take Saileach’s hands in her own, “C’mon, Sail, lets head to bed.” They yanked their hands away, going to take a triumphant swig.
“I. Am. Fineeee-,” they whined before they got cut off by Sam swiftly removing the glass from their weak grip, placing it on the table and wrapping her strong arms around their waist. Before anyone could react, least of all Saileach, they were tossed over her shoulder, embraced in her muscles and scent, her firm palms resting under their thighs, leaving them muttering into the crook of her neck in protest. The feeble attempts they made to wriggle free falling on deaf ears and a strong grip.
“Night, Saileach!” They all drew out in a sweet bid goodnight to the mumbling ball in Sam’s arms.
“Nooo!” They whined. A pained look of apology grew across Tara’s face with a somber smile.
“Stop wriggling!” Sam didn’t feel like carrying this tenacious drunken mess all the way to their own apartment, so she feigned reluctance in bringing them to her own bed. She dropped them onto the soft river of bed sheets messily, nearly falling over herself and landing on them, leaving their warm, flushed faces inches away from each other. A pout pursing on Saileach’s lips, their eyes finding it hard to not dart around the firm features of Sam’s face. Eyes, lips, skin creases, eyelashes, back again.
“You *hic*…” The two leaned slightly closer, warm breath ticking each other’s lips, “you shtole…my alcohol!” They pouted with a soft and empty glare. Sam immediately stood herself back up, rolling her eyes at the small frame barely taking up half the length of her bed.
“Why are you being so difficult tonight?” She reached into her drawers and pulled out a loose top, a tank top, and two pairs of shorts. Tossing the blankets over Saileach’s eyes, she very quickly changed into her night clothes, then started to help them changed into the loose top and pair of shorts she had grabbed. They eventually flopped back onto the bed when Sam had grabbed some water and practically forced it down their throat. After saying goodnight to the others, she turned her attention back to the bed in front of her, and climbed in.
“Fu- *hic* Danny…” They mutter under their breath, fading in and out of consciousness. Sam felt a familiar anger rising in her core. The heat in her stomach making her feel sick. Really? Now she had to compete with that? At this hour of all things? She was too tired to be angry at anyone. She could only gently reach over to the sleeping mess in their drunken stupor, brushing the soft, fluffy curls of their raven black hair from their flushed face. With a sigh, she sheltered the dwarf in her firm embrace.
“Goodnight, Sail…” She muttered under her breath, “I promise to look after you tomorrow.” The older Carpenter let her eyes flutter closed, drifting off into darkness herself.

Telepatía(E.L) teaser
Pairing: Ethan Landry x OC!reader
“Why do you like me? Everyone always goes for Tara.” Gen says drunkenly, her thoughts getting the best of her. Ethan faces her, If only she knew how beautiful she looks right now, He thought. “Just because other people choose Tara, doesn’t mean I will.”
“You’re so pretty, Eth.” Gen says grabbing his face for him to look into her eyes, Ethan’s heart skips a beat when she does that. His face started to blush, “ You are too, Gen.” Ethan praying that she doesn’t remember him saying that but a small part of him does.
“But the things about Yaro and Sam-” Ethan gets cut off by Genesis, “If you say anything about him, I’ll fucking kill you before Ghostface does.” Gen looks at him, her eyes seemed to be filled with hatred but for her they could never be. “How do we know Genesis isn’t the killer? She didn’t just threaten Ethan but she has so many motives to make her one-” “Fuck off, Quinn. It could be you for all we know, we barely even know you.” Yaro cuts off Quinn before Gen says, “ This is fucking ridiculous, it’s probably just some colleges students trying copy the movies.” Gen stands up from where she was sitting.
“Do you remember what I said at the party? I know I said a lot of things that may have been too much too fast but-” Gen cuts him off of his rant, “I like you too, Ethan. I always have.”
“I swear to god, Chad. If you keep calling us the safe six I will slap you.” Chad looks at Genesis with a fake hurt look, his hand on his chest. “You wouldn’t do such a thing,” “You don’t know my limits, Meeks.”
A/N: Hope y’all enjoyed the little teaser.

✩.・*:。≻───── ⋆♡⋆ ─────.•*:。✩✩.・*:。≻─────
It had been a year since the events of Woodboro that culminated in the loss of her sister. Amber had always been her source of strength, supporting her younger sister and guiding her through the rocky terrain when it grew unsteady beneath her feet, catching her when it felt as though she was going to fall right off the edge of the jagged precipice.
Now Amber was gone and Anastasia had been left on her own, facing extreme isolation and social banishment from the other occupants who had heard what she had done. What both her and her accomplice Richie Kirsch, Sam’s supposed boyfriend, had done. The murders that they had committed.
Cautiously approaching her sister's grave on the anniversary of her death, Ana’s breath escaped her at the sight of the grafiti and desecration of the headstone. She had paid for the damned thing out of her own pocket once her parents had refused to. Shifts at the local Taco Bell had facilitated the grave along with a bench by the school that had been placed in commemoration of her.
Whilst Amber’s actions were nothing less than despicable, she was still her sister, and she still grieved her loss, mourning her deeply and truly. Not a day had gone by where she hadn’t missed the sound of her sister's voice.
“I don’t understand.” Ana spoke out-loud to the picture of the pair etched into the gravestone, tears filling her eyes at the devil horns that had been scribbled onto Amber’s face with the word ‘murderer!’ written underneath. “It’s been a year and I still don’t understand, Ambs. I don’t get why you did this all. I thought we were getting better? I thought it was all going to be okay after camp. That’s what you said, isn’t it?”
Shaking her head with pursed lips in an effort to remain kept together, the barrier holding her emotions crumbled and Ana finally let it all out and began to weep, showing vulnerability to the only person she ever felt safe in doing so with.
Even in death, Amber was somehow always still there to soothe and comfort her. “You don’t deserve this, Am,” Her fingers stroked the grafito sadly as she muttered under her breath. “You were a good person. You were..”
“I don’t mean to interrupt, but—“ The strange voice from behind her caused Anastasia to leap to her feet with a gasp of surprise, ready for yet another fight between her and someone in the community over her older sister’s murder spree. “Woah, I come in peace, I come in peace.”
The glare on the youngest Freeman siblings' face said it all in response. She didn’t trust that anybody came in peace when it pertained to her or her family anymore, there was always something seedy underlying any seemingly innocent interaction. Some ulterior motive. Questions about Amber’s mental state, about her own mental state, her family situation. It usually turned into an interview with some wannabe Gale Weathers.
“Then what do you want?” She hissed through gritted teeth, crossing her arms over her chest defensively. Anastasia hadn’t seen the boy around before which was uncommon in a well known place like Woodsboro, it was why she and her family had left the town and relocated elsewhere in the initial aftermath of the latest Ghostface attacks. Everyone knew everyone.
With his hands in his pockets, the mystery boy dressed in a questionable and suspicious hoodie took a step towards her, a sincere expression written on his face. “I just wanted to talk. Promise. I don't mean any harm.”
Anastasia’s brow raised suspiciously but reluctantly she nodded, using a hand to gesture. “Go on then. Talk.” She wrinkled her nose in an attempt to mask any evidence of the emotions that had outpoured before.
“My name’s Ethan.” He introduced himself, his eyes having never torn away from Amber’s photograph. Ethan knew all too well what Ana was experiencing as she was soon to discover. “Richie is my—was my brother.” He cleared his throat and corrected himself before his eyes finally met hers. “You’re.. Amber’s sister, right?”
The reveal of his identity had taken the brunette extremely aback and her lips parted. Her own expression mirroring Ethan’s of sincere sympathy but also understanding. If anybody could even begin to understand what Ana had been through, then surely it would be him. “I’m sorry for your loss, Ethan. I know it’s his day too.”
A half smile grew on his face at the condolences that she had offered, shaking his head. “It’s fine, we weren’t that close.” As Ana furrowed her brow at his statement, he quickly continued before it led to some questions. “Not like you and your sister. It’s fucked up that everyone else got away scot-free. They’re murderers too.”
The female's blood boiled and she clenched her fists at even the mention of them. The Meek-Martins and the Carpenters. He was right, they had brutally murdered Amber and Richie, Sam was even the daughter of the man who had started it all and yet they got away with it, swanning off to New York for a fresh start whilst Anastasia and the Kirsch’s were left to deal with the fallout of it all.
“They’re just as bad as Amber and Richie were. Worse, even.” She agreed as she sat back down by her kin’s graveside, giving Ethan the green light with a nod as he wordlessly asked to join her. “She wasn’t this evil monster everyone thinks and she definitely didn’t deserve what those bitches did to her.”
A sigh fell from Ethan’s lips as he planted himself on the ground next to Anastasia, sitting in front of the headstone and staring off to space, still listening to the girl. If she had been saying such a thing to anybody else, they would’ve thought that she was crazy, that both Amber and Richie had gotten their just desserts.
However, she wasn’t talking to just anybody. Anastasia was talking to Ethan Kirsch and as she was yet to discover, he was no more sane than his brother was. The dastardly plan of revenge that the Kirsch’s had created was at the forefront of the curly haired boy's twisted mind and he fought the urge to grin. He knew that Anastasia would be on board after barely five minutes talking to her and he was thrilled.
Selfishly, he was ecstatic about the idea of her agreeing for his own gain, not for Richie. The first thing that Ethan had noticed about the girl he had been tasked with recruiting was that she was far more beautiful than he’d been expecting. Ordinarily, he wouldn’t even dare to daydream about a girl like her looking twice at him, but if she was in on the plan, that meant that they’d be seeing alot of each other.
After that, who knows, right?
“No, she didn’t. Nobody deserves that.” Ethan paid attention to the photo on the grave now, it was evidently Anastasia with her arms wrapped tightly around the girl he knew as Amber from the news articles and online forums that he had skimmed for research.
The heartwarming bond visible between the two sisters in a single photograph only fuelled the teenagers’ hatred for his brother’s survivors. A bond that they had heartlessly and thoughtlessly ripped away from her.
“They should pay, shouldn’t they. For what they’ve done to us. To our families.” He turned to look at the girl to his right, seeing how her eyes were fixed onto a silver heart ring on her finger. She wore a matching necklace and bracelet, which was discovered upon closer scrutiny.
“Absolutely.” Anastasia grit her teeth in annoyance, glowering at the artwork that people had drawn over Amber’s face. It should’ve been Tara or Sam’s grave that was in this state not hers. How she yearned to give them their own grave to vandalise. “I’d kill to put them through even the tiniest bit that they put Amber through.”
If the teenage girl had been looking at Ethan a moment earlier, she would’ve seen the dark glint that shone in his eye at her choice of words, however, it went unnoticed. “What if you could do just that? If you could put them through hell and back? Make them suffer and maybe even finish them off for your sister.” He gave a brief nod to the stone in acknowledgement.
Ethan’s words sent a chill through Ana’s body and she looked at him in a mixture of shock and surprise. Instantly, he regretted what he had said. Had he misread the whole situation? Had he just jeopardised the whole plan? Goddamn it! He should’ve just kept his fucking mouth shut. Or Quinn should’ve been the one sent to persuade her to join, what was he thinking? As if he was capable of anyth—
“.. I’m listening.” Her voice broke the silence and simultaneously cut right through Ethan’s inner monologue, bringing his attention right back to her. “How? How exactly do I make them pay? They’re under surveillance like fucking royalty. Trust me, I’ve tried to get to them before.” She admitted, having only recently moved to New York and enrolled in Blackmore University under an alias.
And there it was. The perfect opportunity for Ethan to explain everything to her. All their advantages, their disadvantages, their strong suits, their weak spots of their plan and how they needed her help. With a quick lick of his lips and a deep breath in preparation, he spilled all to Anastasia. The plan in its entirety. How he and his sister Quinn had assimilated themselves into the Four’s inner circle, with Ethan rooming with Chad and Quinn with Sam. How his father was a Detective and could give them viable alibi’s to elude suspicion and most importantly, how Gale and Tara would be her victims and hers alone to avenge her sister.
Anastasia chewed her thumbnail momentarily before bringing it back down to her lap and twisting Amber’s ring that she had been handed by the coroner as well as her sisters accompanying jewellery with it. She thought about it for a short second, eyebrows pulled down into a frown as she weighed the pro’s and con’s mentally.
“I’m in.”
“I get that it’s a big decision to make, but just take your time, think it— wait, what?” Ethan blinked, caught off guard by her response and looking at her with somewhat wide eyes. “You said you’re in?”
A nod. “I’m in. For Amber. And Richie.” She confirmed with a decisive and quick nod. “Tara and her fucking Mystery Gang should have died last year, it’s nothing but pure luck that they’re still here. So let’s rectify the situation.”
Darkness overtook Anastasia’s eyes and Ethan couldn’t help but smirk in response to it. It was the same look that he’d seen in Quinn’s eyes whenever she looked at her roommates and “friends” if nobody was watching her. It was a cold, bloodthirsty cloud that fogged her gaze. A similar one was visible in Ethan’s own from time to time, turning their puppy-like dark brown into a sinister jet black.
“Sweet.” Ethan stood up upon hearing her agreement and extended his hand in offering to her, she quickly obliged and took his hand, rising to her feet once more with some assistance. “We should probably go now then. We’ve got a lot to figure out before school starts again.”
A strange comfort was brought to Ana as her hand latched onto Ethan’s. Though she quickly let go of the warmth once she had successfully been pulled to her feet again, placing her hands in front of her, they clasped together as they slowly exited the Woodsboro Cemetery.
“Out of curiosity, what would you have done if I’d said no?”
“Killed you and went ahead with the plan without you.” Ethan shrugged, talking low so as not to be overheard by anybody, keeping his hood up and fading into the mundane town like a ghost that people seemed to pass.
Ana snorted. “Yeah right, what were you really going to do?— oh, you weren’t joking. Fuck. Definitely glad that I said yes now.”
Pushing the handle of the concealed knife back into his waistband and fixing his hoodie to cover it, the troubled teen shared a small grin with himself. “Me too.”

(If you haven't seen Scream VI yet, don't read this because it contains spoilers or read it, but at your own risk.)
Tara POV
It was finally Friday and that means Halloween. I hadn't had much time to organize my costume, so I decided to look at what I had in my closet and decided to go as a pirate.
It was an easy, simple costume, and i had everything i needed for it, so i wouldn't have to spend anything buying the costume. I finish tying the bandana over my head and make sure I have my inhaler, apartment keys, and cell phone.
I walk out of my room, finding my roommate Quinn sitting on the living room couch and channel surfing on the TV.
Tara: Last chance to come.- I warn her, stopping by the door of the apartment.
Quinn: Don't worry, if my date doesn't turn out well or I get bored, I'll let you know.- she assures me with a smile.
Tara: Okay.- I accept opening the door. -Goodbye.- I say goodbye going out the door.
Quinn: Bye ! - I hear how she shouts from the other side of the now closed door.
I walk downstairs, looking at my phone and texting my boyfriend to let him know I'm on my way to the party. His response is not long in coming, letting me know that he is already at the party and that he will be waiting for me in the kitchen.
I put the phone in my bag with a smile, walking out of the building and seeing my group waiting for me outside the building.
Mindy: Finally ! - she exclaims raising her arms in the air.
Tara: Don't be exaggerated.- I deny funny. -You have told me that you were here less than five minutes ago.- I roll my eyes at her attitude.
Mindy: Whatever.- she says downplaying my answer. -Let's party! - she screams completely excited.
Chad: Ye ! - exclaims high five with his sister.
Anika: You two are ridiculous.- she laughs, amused by the attitude of the twins.
Chad: What does the little pumpkin say? – he asks amused placing his hand next to his ear.
Mindy: Idiot.- she laughs, hitting him on the arm and hugging her girlfriend by the shoulders. -Don't mess with my girl.- she threatens him with her finger.
Chad: I'm your brother! – he claims pretending to be offended.
Mindy: That's exactly why I´m choosing her.- she winks amused, causing everyone except her brother to laugh.
Ethan: If you feel better, I would choose you.- he assures his roommate.
Chad: See! - he tells his sister. -You would have to do this.- he comments, approaching his friends body  by the shoulders to his own  body.
Mindy: That's because Ethan is obsessed with you.- she assures him with an evil smile and I try to hold back my laughter.
Ethan: That's not true.- He immediately denies energetically.
Mindy: Surely not.- she says raising an eyebrow and I can't hold back my laughter anymore.
Tara: Leave it alone Minds .- I tell my friend between laughs as well as Chad and Anika .
We keep laughing and walking towards the party, talking nonsense without any meaning. Chad and Mindy being the biggest reason for our laughs.
Jason: Oh, Hey Tara.- I hear how someone greets me and I turn around seeing a classmate.
Tara: Jason , hello.- I greet you back in a friendly way. -Are you and Greg going to come to the OKB party?- I ask kindly.
Jason: If Greg finishes his Spanish project then yes, we will.- he answers with a smile. -Is your sister going?- he asks with confusion and interest.
Tara: No, Sam wouldn´t be caught dead in a party. - I deny a bit amused by the question.
I mean, if it were up to my sister I wouldn't be going to this party either, much less without her "supervision". So the very idea of Sam coming to one of the college parties is complete insanity.
Jason: There's a first time for everything.- he assures me amused and I shake my head starting to walk away.
Tara: Not tonight though.- I assure him with a smile, walking away and returning to the group.
Jason: Can't you convince her? - he asks me and I turn to see him.
Tara: No, that's not my problem; It's yours.- I answer with a small laugh as I walk away.
Jason: Save me a drink.- he asks me when I'm already a bit far away.
Tara: Okay, see you.- I say goodbye to him, returning to the conversation that my friends are having.
It doesn't take us much longer to get to the house where the party is taking place. We entered through the open door, immediately being hit by the smell of sweat and alcohol from inside.
I take a deep breath, remembering that the last party I went to was a trap and people ended up dying.
We entered the house and divided into two groups. Chad and Ethan head into a room, while Anika , Mindy , and I walk over to the table of the drinks.
Anika: Let's dance!- she yells for us to hear, grabbing her girlfriend's arm and pulling her onto the dance floor.
Tara: I'm going to the bathroom for a moment!- I shout at them to hear and upon receiving an affirmative signal I walk towards the kitchen.
I walk carefully through the crowd, holding my drink in one hand and very subtly pushing people aside with the other. The last thing I want is to upset someone or spill my drink on myself.
I enter the kitchen, seeing people drinking and talking to each other. My gaze wanders instead, searching for an exact person and I find it talking animatedly with two boys.
I walk towards him with a smile, as I get closer my gaze runs over his body and I look at his clothes with confusion.
Tara: Hello! – i greet placing a hand on his forearm.
Y/n: Tara!- he exclaims with a huge smile. -You've finally arrived.- He leans towards me giving me a quick hug.
Tara: We've come walking.- I explain with a smile. -What are you dress as?- I ask confused, seeing the fake wounds and the dirty clothes he's wearing.
Y/n: I´m Nathan Rake.- he answers me with a smile and I look at him just as confused. -Uncharted 4 ? _ - asks and I deny. -A character from a videogame.- he explains simply and I nod.
Tara: At least you look good.- I assure him, looking at him from top to bottom and biting my lip.
Y/n: You don't look bad at all as a pirate.- He winks at me with amusement. -Tara, this are my friends Cole and Ian , guys, this is Tara.- he introduces us and I greet them with my hand.
Cole: So you're THE girlfriend? - he asks with a smile and I nod. -Well, it was time to meet you, this guy won't stop talking about you.- he tells me, hugging my boyfriend by the neck and bringing him closer to him.
Ian: And whimpering not being able to spend time with his girlfriend.- he tells me with a funny pout.
Y/n: Idiots.- he insults his friends for making fun of him, pushing Cole off of him and standing next to me.
Tara: I guess now you can't complain.- I say amused looking at my boyfriend and listening to how his friends laugh.
Y/n: How funny you all are.- he says sarcastically, crossing his arms and with a serious gesture in his handsome face.
Tara: Just kidding.- I assure him, hugging him around the waist.- Now let's dance.- I tell him with a smile, breaking away from the hug and grabbing his hand to pull him away. -Bye guys.- I wave goodbye to his friends.
Y/n: Do you want to dance? - he asks close to my ear so that I can hear him.
Tara: No, but I want to be alone with you.- I explain loud enough for him to hear me.
Y/n: Alone? - he asks me with an amused and suggestive smile.
Tara: Shut up, you fool.- I answer with a smile, pulling him towards the corridor.
Y/n: And why don't you shut me up? - he asks me amused and I stop walking when we stand in a corner of the corridor next to the stairs of the house.
Tara: You would like that, right? - I ask, staring into his eyes and taking a long sip of my drink.
Y/n: I wouldn't be oppose to it.- he assures me shrugging his shoulders, leaning his back against the wall and raising an eyebrow at me in challenge.
I just remain silent, staring into his eyes and drinking from my red glass calmly.
He does exactly the same as me and stares at me with that damn smile. He knows exactly what he's doing smiling in that attractive way and how much I like it.
XY: Do you guys want a shot? - a guy interrupts our staring, with a tray of large plastic syringes with colored liquids in them.
Y/n: I do.- he accepts taking a green one and drinking it without even asking what it is.
Tara: What´s in them? - I ask the guy almost screaming.
XY: The orange ones are vodka with peach, the red ones are gin with red fruits and the green ones are tequila with melon.- he answers me with a smile, pointing to the syringes.
Y/n: I'll take another green one.- he warns him, receiving a nod in response and drinking another green shot.
Tara: I'll take the red one, thanks.- I thank her by taking the syringe with the red liquid and injecting the content into my mouth. -It's strong.- I assure, contracting my face due to the strong taste of alcohol.
Y/n: Try the green one, it's fine.- he tells me and I look at him a bit unsure.
Tara: Can I? - I ask the boy, leaving the empty syringe on the tray and pointing to the other one.
XY: Of course! - he exclaimed with a huge smile. -You can take how many you want.- he assures us and my boyfriend shrugs, picking up a red one with a smile.
Y/n: Thank you.- Thank you and take what's in the syringe. -It's not so loaded.- He denies when he finishes it.
Tara: And this one is not good. - I deny with a face of disgust, when the alcohol flavor is stronger than before in the green one.
XY: If you want more, I'll be around the place.- he tells us and walks away offering shots to the other people in the party.
Tara: It's disgusting. - I deny without finishing the green shot.
Y/n: Don't exaggerate.- he laughs, leaving the empty alcohol syringe in a nearby bowl. -If you don't want it, I'll drink it myself.- he assures me, pointing to the object in my hand.
Tara: Don't even dream of it.- I deny with an evil smile, before finishing the rest of the shot and finishing what was left in my glass at once; to avoid gagging at the horrible taste.
Y/n: Eyy! – he exclaims for my action. -At least breathe.- he laughs taking my empty glass and the syringe from my hands.
Tara: That was so disgusting, I don't know how you were able to take two.- I assure him, running my tongue over my lips and wiping away the remains of alcohol on them.
Y/n: It wasn't so bad, you're exaggerating.- He assures me, leaving my things in the same bowl as before.
Tara: I'm not exaggerating, what happens is that I do have taste buds and you don't.- I assure him amused approaching him.
Y/n: Whatever you say. - He shakes his head in amusement, placing his hands on my waist and pulling me closer to his body.
Tara: That's how I like it, that you understands who's in charge in this relationship.- I smile with superiority, placing my hands on his neck and caressing the short hair in the place.
Y/n: Are you having a good time? - he asks me with a loving smile.
Tara: With you always.- I assure him, before standing on my tiptoes and pulling at his neck so we can join our lips.
The kiss begins slow and superficially. His hands go from being placed on my hips, to being placed on my lower back so that I can stick my body completely to his.
My hands go into his hair as the kiss begins to deepen and his tongue makes contact with mine.
I tug at his hair as he sucks on my tongue and I moan softly against his mouth. He knows that suckinh my tong drives me crazy and I that I love it.
POV You
The kiss had lost all its softness and innocence a long time ago. I don't know how long we've been making out, but my hands were now on my girlfriend's ass and while one of her hands was still on my neck, the other was under my shirt.
I growl excitedly, feeling her nails scratch my stomach and the way she tugs at my hair as I squeeze her ass into me.
Tara: Do you want to go to my house? - she asks me with her breath agitated against my lips.
Y/n: Now? - I ask surprised trying to calm my breathing.
Tara: Later.- She answers me with a suggestive smile. -I can try to sneak you in so my sister doesn't see you.- she comments and I swallow heavily.
Y/n: Are you sure? - I ask a little insecure, not wanting to pressure her and make her feel forced to accept because of the situation we are currently in.
Tara: Yes.- she nods clinging impossibly closer to my body. -And from what I can feel, you are too.- she smiles with suggestion  and amusement, rubbing herself subtly against my body. -But first I'm going for another drink.- she says separating from me immediately and looking at me with a devil smile.
Y/n: Tara! - I exclaim surprised and a bit embarrassed, seeing my girlfriend walk away from me and hearing her laugh.
Tara: You wait for me there still! - she yells over her shoulder with an evil smile.
I quickly covered my lap with my hands, trying not to show my erection in my pants and trying to appear as casual as possible.
As I wait, I tilt my head back and close my eyes to try and calm myself. But from the alcohol i consumed I get dizzy and decide that is better if I keep my eyes open.
I smiled and nod to people passing by, trying to be friendly and getting greetings back.
But my smile disappears immediately, when I see my girlfriend holding hands with another guy and walking towards the stairs. I open my eyes worried, when I recognize the guy and I know that nothing good can come out of him.
I quickly run towards them, grabbing Tara's other hand and pulling her towards me causing the other guy to let go of his hand.
Frankie: What's wrong with you, idiot? - he asks me in a somewhat aggressive way.
Y/n: She's not going anywhere with you.- I answer seriously, sticking my girlfriend to my body and pulling her away from him.
Frankie: And who the hell do you think you are to decide that?- he wonders taking a step towards me.
Y/n: Her boyfriend.- I answer through my teeth and my answer makes him laugh.
Frankie: Well, no one would say that she has a boyfriend, because she has accepted too quickly to go up to my room with me.- he points to my girlfriend with a disgusting smile.
Tara: Y/n don't pay attention to him.- she pleads me, pulling my hand to get away from him. -He told me he had alcohol in his room.- she explains pulling at my arm, but I stand in my place and I don't move an inch.
Frankie: Come on, we all know what "I have a bottle in my room" means.- he assures putting his offer in quotes.
Y/n: I don't care, she won't go with you.- I deny through my teeth.
Frankie: And why don't you ask her if she wants to come with me or not.- she points to Tara with a smile, I take a step forward with the intention of putting him in his place and making him understand that my girlfriend wouldn't go with an asshole like him to nowhere.
But my plan is interrupted, when Frankie is pushed aside and someone separates me from Tara.
Chad: Get away from her.- he growls at me aggressively, placing himself between Tara and me in a defensive manner.
Tara: Chad stop.- she asks trying to get out of his grip and stand between us.
Chad: Don't go near her again.- he threatens me by pushing my shoulders and I take a deep breath so I don't do something I might regret.
I see two girls approach Tara and grab her to keep her from getting closer. I can see the panic in her brown eyes and I try to reassure her with my gaze that everything is okay.
Y/n: Look, I wasn't doing anything.- I answer him calmly with my hands in the air. -I was only separating her from Frankie.- I explained looking at the annoyed face of my girlfriend's friend.
Chad: I don't care, if you touch her again you'll find out.- he threatens me, pushing me with more force and making me fall to the ground.
Tara: Chad! - she screams trying to get loose of what I suppose are her friends hold.
I carefully pick myself up off the ground, avoiding to react and plant a punch right across his face. Because I know that even though Tara would understand if I defended myself, he's still one of her best friends and she'd be upset if I hit him.
Sam: Sorry to interrupt, but I'm going to tase you in the balls real quick.- I hear someone say and suddenly I feel a painful electric shock in my parts.
I fall to the ground in pain, placing my hands on my private parts and feeling an intense pain in them. I close my eyes, feeling the electric shock go through my body and how my parts throb with pain.
Tara: Sam! - I hear how he screams and in less than two seconds I feel a pair of hands on my face. -Y/n are you okay?- I listen as she asks me and I open my eyes to see her face full of concern.
Y/n: It hurts.- I growled, resting the side of my head on the ground.
Tara: I'm so sorry.- She apologizes and helps me sit up. -Are you better? - she asks me and I nod. -Do you think you can get up and walk? - she asks again and I look at her with a grimace.
Y/n: I guess.- I answer a little insecure.
Tara: Well, I'll help you get up and we'll get out of here, okay? - she asks me with a small smile and I nod.
My girlfriend helps me get up off the ground, which is not very difficult and painful. But when I start to walk, I can feel a painful shock with each step I take. Her arm wraps around my waist so I can get support and she wraps my arm around her shoulders.
We leave the party, under the watchful eye of everyone and the confused gaze of her friends and what I assume is her sister.
We don't get very far, before her friends stop us and Tara turns around in a huff.
Tara: What?!- she yells at his sister. -What the hell do you want now? Don't you think you've done enough? - she attacks her and I move uncomfortably next to her.
Sam: I was just defending you.- she answers immediately.
Tara: But I don't need you to defend me! - she yells at her angrily. -You don't understand that I can defend myself, that I don't have to depend on you for everything and that I don't need you to take care of me as if I was a fucking little girl! - she yells at her and I look around uncomfortably, avoiding the gaze of her friends.
Sam: If you're not a kid, stop acting like one.- She throws at her just as annoyed. -You can't escape to a party, without telling me anything and getting into dangerous situations for yourself.- she assures her with an angry tone.
Tara: Everything was under control.- she assures her impatiently.
Sam: Sure, everything was under control when I arrived.- she says sarcastically, crossing her arms.
Tara: It was, until Chad got in the way and you showed up with that fucking taser .- she says pointing to her friend and then pointing at her sister. -All because you can't leave me alone, I don't need bodyguards and being controlled all day. If I have a problem I solve it myself and I don't need you to come to "save me" - she says using the quotes.
Chad: They were going to take advantage of you.- he defends himself pointing at me and I look at him angrily at his suggestion.
Tara: And as always, you fix everything with violence, right? - she asks his friend. -And if he was going to take advantage of me, it's my life and I decide what I want or don't want to do! - she exclaimed in frustration.
Sam: So you were going to let them take advantage of you? - she asks with a surprise tone.
Tara: It's not about that Sam, for God's sake.- she growls frustrated. -It's about you drowning me in your overprotection, I can't leave the house without you controlling me, I can't have friends because you scare them away and I can't have a boyfriend because you tase them in the balls!- she yells, pointing me at the end and I open my eyes surprised by her admission.
Sam: Wait what? – asks confused processing what her sister just said. -Do you have a boyfriend? - questions completely lost and surprised.
Tara: Yes Sam, I have a boyfriend.- She answers as if it were obvious. -A boyfriend who was taking care of the situation, before Chad showed up like a crazy person and you assaulted him .- she assures with a tired sigh.
Sam: Since when? - questions her calmer.
Tara: Months.- she answers simply looking over her shoulder and giving me an apologetic smile.
Sam: And why didn't you tell me? - she asks with a slightly hurt tone in her voice.
Tara: For this very reason.- She points between the two of them. -Because if I had told you that I was meeting someone, your reaction would have been to forbid me to go out and control even the smallest step I take. Because you don't trust anyone and even if you're not ready to trust someone and start a relationship, it doesn't mean I'm not ready either.- she explains more calmly, holding my hand and intertwining our fingers.
Sam: And why do you think it is? - she asks rhetorically. -Because last time, my own boyfriend turned out to be a psycho murderer and it put you in danger.- she reminds her and I bite my lip nervously from the palpable tension around us.
Tara: But that doesn't mean that everyone who approaches us is a murderer.- she tells her with certainty. -I trust Y/n and I know he would never hurt me.- she assures her sister, staring at her and squeezing my hand.
Sam: Tara you know I don't p .. - starts with a tired tone, before being interrupted by my girlfriend.
Tara: No Sam, I'm done! - she exclaims tired letting go of my hand. -Why are you here? Why are you here in New York when you hate this and work at two shitty jobs at the same time? - she asks taking a step towards her.
Sam: To protect you.- she answers as if it was obvious.
Tara: but I don't need protection! - she yells fed up with the whole situation. -You disappeared from my life for five years, five, and now you come back to control me. You have to let me go and let me live my life the way I want.- she says letting her shoulders fall.
Her sister is unable to answer as a small group of girls walk past us and one of them ends up spilling a drink on him.
I widen my eyes, looking at my girlfriend's older sister and the slightly dark stain on her white sweater.
Tara: Let's go.- she tells me, calling my attention intertwining our hands and pulling me to start walking.
We walk in silence, with my girlfriend being the guide and me keeping quiet to give her space. Although I have only known her for a few months, I know that right now what Tara needs is silence and tranquility.
I also know that her head is processing everything that has happened and that once she is ready, she will speak. But until then, all I can do is give her the space she needs to think and then I'll listen to whatever she wants to tell me patiently.

An unsettling silence plagued the halls, so quiet you could hear a mouse squeak, but who could blame anyone in the complex for leaving after what had happened in only two weeks.
Nobody wanted to believe it was happening again until the bodies in the morgue began to pile up, and the first mask was found next to the third victim, it was almost a taunt. No...A greeting.
Ghostface was back in business.
The Carpenter sisters were on immediate alert, but it didn't take long for someone to throw a big party, the perfect opportunity for new victims, and for some unknown fucking reason no one seemed to be concerned with the outcome that Samantha and Tara could sense a mile away like clockwork.
Tara stayed home, luckily. But that's not who Sam was worrying about right now as her phone went to voicemail for the 20th time that night, Sam was quick to grab her keys. There were many ways this could go south but with her being radio silent? Sam couldn't care less about the consequences than the idiots that had willingly gone despite the risks. On her way out the door, she texts Chad, Tara, and Mindy to warn them of her whereabouts, gun holstered and knife in her boots.
Never too armed. There was a mace and taser in her purse for backup.

The scene was a bloodbath, the moment you entered the place there were bodies and puddles of red as far as the eye could see and Samantha was quick to unholster the gun resting on her hip, there wasn't a lot she was afraid of anymore, hell blood had become so normal to her, she stepped over the bodies like they weren't there.
If anything everything in sight had become invisible to her eyes, her thoughts solely on the one person she was hellbent on saving, on protecting. Nearing the staircase, she hears distant voices, and murmurs.
'C'mon, Y/n. Not today.'
Rounding the corner, her heart nearly beat out of her chest when the voices only got louder just for to realize.
'I see trees of green, red roses too..'
She grunts a hiss of air out when her eyes land on an old stereo. With her jaw set, she pushes on, determination filling her gaze like it had only done when Tara was the one who needed her protection. Her head cocking slightly to the side when a new gaze meets hers; pointing the gun directly between the males eyes, she crouches next to the figure.
"Travis. Where's Y/n?" She asked quietly, the sight of her bestfriends boyfriend hidden in the same room she'd gone into putting her on high alert. There was blood on his collar. She scoffs when he doesn't answer. "Trav, c'mon. I need to find her. Keep her safe, that's what you want, no?"
Travis trembles from his spot on the floor, and Sam spots a puddle forming beneath him. The empathy in her eyes left just as fast as it had come, eyes moving down his neck to his hands; Bloodied.
Sam clicks her tongue, standing up from her spot next to him.
"Or at least, that's...that's what you should want, Travis. I mean look at you, lying in wait while your girlfriend gets possibly murdered. Jesus...That's cold-hearted."
Travis squirms from his spot on the floor, eyes frantic and body trembling like a fish out of water. Samantha just watches as he grows more inconsolable, attention on him only diverting when she turns to find a cloaked figure.
Stu's mask on their face.

Samantha barely manages to dodge the knife aiming for her abdomen, stepping out of the way at the last minute, her movements fluid and clean as she does like it's a choreographed dance she'd obsessively learned the steps to.
Her strangely calm demeanor shifts slightly when she looks back at Travis, who only seems...confused.
"You really are a little bitch, Travis. That's what's sad. You date a close friend of a Carpenter sister...but you never thought twice, did you? Don’t you know the rules?"
Holstering her gun, she sighed and kneeled down next to the bed while the cloaked killer worked on dragging Travis to the middle of the room, both his kneecaps had been shot out, rendering the poor thing immobile and utterly useless.
Her fingers brushed against the mask, a shudder running down her spine at the feel of sheer power beneath her thumbs, a legacy she was tired of running from, one she'd been so desperate to get rid of. One that she was now even more hellbent and desperate on keeping alive.
'Do it, Sam. Put it on. You've earned this' Billy's voice plays in her head like an echoing cave, and with every fear the old Samantha held in her heart of hearts...She uses it to drive her; Billy's knife in her boot and his mask in her hand.
Her lips quiver the moment she bites the bullet and puts it on again, this time...to be used as her father intended it to.
'Atta girl, Sammy. Now. Do me proud, kid. Flood this fucking town RED!'
"Sam."
A voice cuts through the hallucinations, snapping Sam out of her stupor, she looks up at the cloaked figure standing over Travis, nodding to herself; a confirmation to herself that there was no going back after this. Standing up, she takes her spot next to the person in Stu's mask, cutting on the voice changer, she feels a spark traveling down her spine, breathing it all in.
Samantha Carpenter meets Samantha Loomis.
"There are rules, Travis. And you broke one of the biggest. Now the sad thing is...I can see it in your eyes. Shifty. Maybe I was wrong, maybe you do wanna save Y/n. Is that what you want? To save her?"
The tears that gathered in his eyes bring a smile to Samantha's face from underneath her mask, neck craning to the side, her eyes meeting her partners just as Travis finally whimpers out a pathetic pleading "Yes".
"You wanna tell him? You do the honors."
Stepping back, Samantha allows them to the front, their voice disguised as well when speaking, a crackling robotic tone sounding through. "It'd be my pleasure. I've really been waiting all night for this."
Dragging his body to a sitting position, they go to lock the door, the radio being turned up just a tad louder to drown out the incessant whimpering, squatted beside him now, they slowly begin removing the plastic Halloween mask.
Travis's eyes widen the moment he's aware of what's underneath.
The tears, oh how they freely fall down the apples of his cheeks.
❦ ⌫ ❦
The radio, it repeats, and it repeats, keeping time with his rapid heartbeats. She straddles his lap, knife grazing his skin, forcing him to look in his eyes.
The tears, oh how they freely fall down the apples of his cheeks.
'I see trees of green, red roses too...I see them bloom for...'
"Y/n." He breathes out shakily.
'Me and you.'
With the voice changer resting underneath her lips, her knife, she nods, pulling a gun. Stu's berretta, from her pocket, whistling quietly.
"And I think to myself..." She leans in closer, a soft smirk curving onto her lips, "What a wonderful world. Hi baby. You know what this is right? Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you. We're just talking, right? Just talking. Don't cry."
Samantha's jaw sets watching the scene, her body itching for a kill. Specifically this one.
"What is this? Huh?" She repeats, waving the beretta at him like a nice greeting, or in this case, maybe a solemn goodbye.
"The...The gun you shot me with? I-I don't know, Y/n please...W-why?"
"I'm getting there. Patience. I mean, you're not wrong. I did shoot you with it, but you know...I also shot that bitch you were cheating with. Junie? Her favorite scary movie was weak. The nun. Ugh. No. This? is Stu Macher's gun."
"J-junie's dead?"
"As a bitch, Travis. As a fucking bitch. You know, Sammy's right. You did break a rule. Two actually."
"One, you cheated and told Mindy of all people. My sister, really? You never could handle your fucking liquor." Rising up, she points the gun at his thigh and pulls the trigger, relishing the way his screams align with the music. "You trusted the love interest. Sammy?"
'I see skies of blue and clouds of white...'
On cue, Samantha walks ahead of Y/n, kissing her cheek as she does so, Billy's knife tightly gripped in her hand.
'The bright blessed day...The dark sacred night...'
"I guess you're even, Trav. I mean, she was cheating on you too. Bestfriend? You could say we're close. The only problem is..." Samantha drops down into his lap, but there's nothing erotic about the plans she has for him, her knife to his neck; she removes the old mask, a shit-eating grin on her face, "Only one of you cheated with a goddamned Loomis."
'And I think to myself...'
Without a second word, his throat is slit, and she blacks out. His body riddled with stab wounds when it was all over she could hear Y/n's heeled boots against the floor, looking back to see Stu's berretta pointed at Travis's head though he'd taken his last breath seconds before; smoothly Samantha rolled out of the way, allowing Y/n to deliver a swift shot to the head.
'What a wonderful world...'

After all was said and done, Y/n leaned her forehead against Samantha's taking a deep breath at the next steps, her eyes staring deeply into hers, "I'm ready."
"Baby, we...we don't gotta." Sam reasons, but she shakes her head, a bittersweet smile spread across her cheeks, she whispers to Sam, eyes glossed over with tears. "I won't die. I'll be fine. It's for you, I'll do it for you."
"Are you sure? Completely?"
"Completely."
There's a replica knife, one of Billy's that Y/n had crafted herself, one she'd stabbed Junie with before shooting her, one she'd stabbed Samantha's ex-boyfriend with, and you know the people that came to the party, it was easy to do so when not many dared to arrive due to the restart of the killings and being the only one with a gun helped too, of course.
She passes it into Samantha's gloved hand.
"Do it. And after you do it, I need you to go. Okay? Go, and don't call me. I will call you. Understood?"
"Understood." Samantha takes a deep breath. It had been all too effortless to kill Travis, to kill Gale but the thought of hurting you only slightly was one she hated.
"Now, Sam, NO- AH, FUCK!" As soon as Y/n cries out, she's pulled into Samantha's arms, careful to mind the abdomen wound she'd just given her girlfriend, shushing the poor thing.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry...Shh. Shh, I got you."
As much as Y/n wants to hold on tighter, she just whispers one word in Samantha's ear, sliding off her cloak and handing it to Samantha to get rid of. "Go."
Samantha nodded, pecking Y/n's lips before grabbing the cloak and ducking out of the backdoor they stood by, leaving Y/n to call the police, though she didn't know just how far Y/n would go to protect her until she heard a pained yell inside and a gunshot and as if she could sense Sam's concern, another "GO" is yelled out from inside.
Sam goes.

"She's gone, Sam. She's gone. There's no true love for a Loomis, remember your true love. Pick up the knife, Sammy." His voice grows increasingly aggressive, brows knitted together waving the infamous dagger in front of my face, like bone to dog and it almost physically hurts to not reach my hands out, wrap my fingers around the handle -- Let the electricity liven me.
Her being mentioned is the only thing that breaks my attention away, and I can see his face fall into something blank when he realizes I wasn't budging on my stance, it isn't until I wake up with a jolt, looking at the clock and very predictably my phone, itching to see if she'd called or messaged.
She hadn't.
It wasn't until that afternoon that I heard from her, waiting with bated breaths to see if she was still breathing, if we'd gone too far and she was a part of the carnage, the gunshot still rang fresh as day in my head, her voice the only thing to cut through the thoughts, through my father's taunting. I could hear him now, there was no love to be truly had regarding what we were, but I refused to let him be right. Not when it came to her.
"Spare key. Earth to my beautiful girlfriend?"
I think my jaw goes slack, my lips slightly parting themselves and I'm almost in denial. I'd almost let my father ruin love for me, and though I hadn't budged, that moment of dread I felt when I considered the possibility of her having died ran so deeply that it was almost like seeing a ghost when she's finally within a foot or two in front of me, that familiar cheeky smile stretching from ear to ear.
God, she's as beautiful as I remember and though it's only been a mere half a day apart I find myself scanning her from head to toe, analyzing and trying to scope out if any of the little details that she was made up of had changed; To my relief, the only things out of place are the stab wound near her side, and the cast on her wrist which must've been the beretta's doing.
Other than that...It was her, it was my lady that stood in front of me.
"Oh thank fuck. You're alive." Samantha's hands find my waist so naturally it feels like it's instinct for her, to pull me into an embrace without the slightest thought to it. I can feel her body shudder, eyes pricking with tears; She squeezes me so tight I have to tap her a few times to let her know her hold is a bit too strong, and even then she seems reluctant, as if I've just dealt her a...disrespectful request.
"Not for long if you keep squeezing me like this, sweetheart. I shot myself in the arm, hit nothin' vital. Again there's nothing I wouldn't do to see you get out of this without being caught. Best damn Ghostface there ever was. Y'know that right?" I can't stop staring, though I'd never been able to, not since we'd been friends. Sleepovers almost always ended with us talking about everything and nothing while staring into one another's eyes until the moon made way for the sun.
She nods, but I can tell she's wary and I take no time to bring her into my arms, brushing her hair from her face, a small whisper of a "Hey" spoken through the silence to hush her worries. "I'm alive, okay? Wouldn't leave my favorite girl alone."
"You could've been seriously hurt." Sam nuzzles herself against me, arms gripping around my waist protectively as if she thought I might disappear into thin air.
"But I didn't and if I did? It would've been damn worth it, I don't regret a damn thing." I'm sure of this, I know it to be true. I bring my hand up to her cheek, keeping it there until I'm sure she trusts that it's real, that she's real. I hear her chuckle but there's zero humor behind the sound, it breaks my heart to see her so scared when she whimpers, letting go and allowing herself to be picked up and carried upstairs to her bedroom relenting like she'd never hesitated.
We climb the stairs in a comfortable yet tense silence, making our way to Sam's bedroom. I push the door open with my foot and gently kick it closed all the same.
"Do you trust me?" I ask, sitting her on the bed and coming to take place between her legs, hands cupping her face. I tilt her chin up to look directly into her chocolate-brown gaze.
It's a brief moment before I hear her voice again, I forget myself within one smooth motion, my right hand moving to her lips and a kiss pressed upon the back and if that isn't enough, her words press their own soft kisses to my ears. "I think you might be the only one aside from my sister that I trust right now, Y/n."
Lying her back on the bed, I feel myself aching in ways no one has ever made me ache and I hadn't even touched her yet. She was just that good. I chased the high every time. "Then let me take care of you."
Standing over her, I reached for the hem of her shorts, only hesitating on my movements just to gauge her reactions and make sure this was okay. She had this look that could get her anything she ever wanted and when she flashed it at me I knew to do exactly that.
Those pretty little eyes of hers, she gave me that stare and I was turned a slave for her love, she had me in only one night and she still had me now.
She was always so reluctant to be vulnerable, to allow herself something so human. No one could blame her, she'd gone through a lot to get here. I see it in her though. That fighter. — She still deserved to let those defenses down every now and then and I was more than honored that I'd become trusted with such realities in which Sam just got to be Sam.
"I gotta hear you before I go any further, baby. Speak up for me?"
The poor thing's words must've been caught in her throat for a second or two but I allowed her the chance to gather herself before my lips were on her inner thigh, I swear I did but I know that if I were a lesser woman my self-control would've been stripped the before she uttered a damn word. "Just...touch me."
Now that I didn't need to be told twice.
I think one of the most fascinating things about Samantha is her power to seduce and addict, and she had me absolutely sprung. My lips ghost over her thighs before actually meeting the skin. Call me slow but I loved seeing her reactions and keeping myself between her legs at all times, letting her know how appreciated she truly was.
She looks down at me, her abs taut as I bring up the tank top she's wearing, exposing her muscled physique to my hungry eyes. That dark hooded stare is intense on me, and it's a damn shame she has to work tomorrow. I'd be here all night if I could.
My lips had wandered everywhere, neglecting Samantha and themselves while straying away from its intended target until finally, we'd both had enough. She lets out a frustrated whine and I'm too far gone to keep denying myself so I settle our collective woes when I wrap my lips around her bud, her body flinching only to end up running further into my tongue. One hand gripping her thigh in a firm hold.
I bury myself within the temple that is Samantha Carpenter's body, her slick coating my lips, my cheeks, my nose. Drowning in the scent and taste of her all I feel is a simple man's greed. Right now I am that simple man, and I have only one thing on my mind.
Making her sing. I always told her she had a beautiful voice.
Her moans egg me on, legs hoisted up on my shoulders. Her gaze is still locked in on me heavy, and when I pull away for air I can see a small hint of disappointment. "You seem disappointed. Have I disappointed you, my love? Don't be afraid. Speak your mind."
"You're an assho-" I shush her with my lips, giving her a taste of the liquid heaven that rests between her thighs, a moan slips out of those beautiful lips and the sound gets me high. I pull back, my mind back in that simple man's place as I lower myself back between her thighs. My tongue finds her slit and runs the length, revelling in the way she shudders each time.
Once upon a time, I told her my favorite thing was making out with her. I didn't clarify that I meant that in every sense of the word my mouth engaged in a heated makeout session with Sam's cunt. I'm not ashamed to admit it but after the night I had that ended with my arm in a sling, this felt like a reward. I'd gotten to the finish line. My prize was in front of me, and I was happy to take it. More than.
It wasn't long before I recognized those telltale signs that meant she was close to climax. The way her eyebrows knitted and she bit down on her lip harshly trying not to show just how good she was feeling, as she attempted to keep some semblance of that signature Samantha stubbornness; She failed miserably again and again. It was amusing to watch, and I was more than willing to...but granting her the serenity of hiding in the end was something that was completely off the table.
I let two of my fingers graze the edge of her hole, eyeing her reaction when I plunge the two deeply into her pretty pussy. If I wasn't so occupied I think I could've smirked a little.
The reaction this garner is as precious as it is delicious. Her legs squeezed themselves around my neck, her hands gripping the sheets and her back arched, eyes squeezed shut as her orgasm wracked through her body.
Her taste is something I couldn't quit if I tried, and I had no intention to. No, in fact, I locked my lips around her, fingers pumping in and out with her cum coating my tongue. Every little drip came from paradise and god was it heavenly.
And listen to that melody in which she sings my name.
"Y/n...B-baby, I can't-"
Fucking beautiful.

"Do you think we could ever live a normal life?" She asks while her girlfriend lathers her hair up with shampoo, sitting behind her in the clawfoot bathtub. She can still see flashes of the carnage they left behind and she wonders just how much of her father she'd absorbed from the real-life cases to the movies her friends liked to binge repeatedly, and now she was continuing his legacy. A killer.
Y/n can practically see the overthinking inner battle Sam is having, and she immediately stops her movements. She pulls her in, one arm wrapped securely around her waist and the other tilting her head up to face her. She presses a brief but sweet, gentle kiss to her lips. Her forehead is against Sam's when they pull away.
"I'm gonna be honest, my love. I don't know. But what I do know is that I'm damn well gonna fight for one for us. Do you hear me? I want you to fight too. I...need you to fight too."
Her voice cracks on her last words until she feels two hands grabbing hers. Sam's eyes move over her and it's like she's falling in love with her girlfriend all over again. "Hey. I never said I was giving up."
Y/n stops in her tracks, taking a deep breath and nodding in agreement. "You didn't..."
Sam shakes her head, a smile slowly crawling onto her lips. She leans in to kiss Y/n again, head back against hers. "I didn't."
