Taehyung and jungkook's relationship is overlooked by 90% of the fandom solely because they are so controlled by the narrative of the fandom/company that they cannot quite accept that anything outside is even a remote possibility. Ive been more of a quiet observer for years now [my sister's an army since 2015] and I've seen the boys, moreover I know how marketing and kpop works. It's quite evident if u observe close enough of the pattern on how this group of seven guys who genuinely love music is marketed you would understand to what extent you're being brainwashed. Im not talking about this like a conspiracy theorist. It's quite simple and right infront of you. Yall refuse to accept it that's all.

1. There are a certain set of stories that are made to be told by them, over and over again. Even if it disturbs them or they are bored. E.g: 2018 disbandment story, vmin dumpling incident, jikook rain fight/tokyo trip, mind you there are many things that happend between people who lived together for 10+ yrs but if it cuts the flow of events you are made to believe happened you aren't gonna hear from it, ever.

2. Like stories there are dynamics that each pair is supposed to portray Taegi as annoying/annoyed duo, taejin/jikook as flirty HS boyfriends, namseok/taekook the awkward old friends and no matter how much the relationships change or evolve you won't see it cuz again, it won't FIT the narrative that has already been shown.

3. Like relationships there are characteristics that thankfully some members chose to break out of during their solo era: hoseok always being sunshine and loud ( he's quite serious and very dedicated infact ), jungkook being that muscle dude who only knows how to follow his Hyungs ( he's very independent and has a lot of targets he wants to achieve individually, he's very thoughtful and organized) and Taehyung being WEIRD and weak ( he's extremely intelligent and super strong he's strategic and disciplined)

4. This brings us to the whole Taekook narrative, the fact that they've been seen so much during solo era yet people had the audacity to still call them distant and awkward solely cuz it wasn't via company but through Taehyung's ig or jungkook mentioning him in interviews etc. I think it's needless to say they aren't comfortable being touchy and showy on camera for content, hell if they were to shoot everytime Taehyung and jungkook hangout there would he enough CONTENT till 2067. They're supportive of eo and have a very big shared friend circle, when jungkook went missing for almost 2 months we got to know Taehyung was the one he was with.

5. The thing is everyone [ including my own sister ] thinks that Taehyung is being desperate or such whenever he mentions Taehyung cuz a. Yall have actually led jokers run so fucking rampant that everytime the man mentions him actually doing something you're ready to throw him under the bus and call him a liar or such. b. Im not saying jungkook isn't close to anyone else but when he isn't working or shooting content and just wants to be himself the one you saw him most was around Taehyung and yes it matters. In the name of hating shippers yall have not only dissed the quite frankly PRIVATE bond they seem to share but went as far as dissing Taehyung himself cuz of the extreme level of manipulation yall are under.

Ik imma find armys [jikookers ]under this sooner or later calling me names but to be honest I'm sick and tired of yall dissing very real people and their very real human relationships solely based off the content yall are made to believe is 100% candid. Go touch grass, get friends, go date, don't obsess over them for a while then come back and try seeing it from a neutral perspective.

Felt this in my soul.

Sometimes I watch videos that come up on my timeline and I’m sitting there wondering what they’re seeing. Like, in this particular genre of ship edits, the members will just be standing or literally doing nothing. But the slightest move of the hand or glance gets them a 30 second long edit. Kind of nuts.

I’ve seen tons of shippers make fun of stuff like this too so it’s just kinda funny.

Solo's are not your friends

An advice to any ot7 shippers or heavy biased armys, please for the love of God follow accounts that are not just centred around the two or one member you heavily bias. If you find yourself constantly buying into the idea that your favourite member is being heavily mistreated and is the biggest victim of the evil company then please realise you've found yourself in an echo chamber.

This echo chamber consists of people who are either full solos or halfway into solo territory. Talking with actual ot7 armys and keeping up with what the members are actually saying in good faith will help you see for yourself how manipulative and downright abusive a lot of solo/shipper narratives can be.

This is not me trying to say that Hybe is a perfect company that can do no wrong. It has messed up at multiple occasions for each member, even the ones some people consider here as the company favourites. It is why I don't think any of it is a malicious attempt but simply missteps and over presumptions on their half on armys and their reasons for supporting bangtan.

If the only people who are giving you updates on each member are solos who've already made up their minds that their fav is the true victim and everyone in the group secretly hates their fav and our conspiring against them, then you're setting yourself up for an absolute miserable experience. The victimising narratives are not just harmful to the members and their autonomy but also to the fan who feels like they're in a constant war to rescue their fav member from the 'great evil' that is bangtan. It's all very manipulative and mentally taxing.

So please I beg diversify your timelines with not just ot7 armys but other interests you may have as well. While bangtan are the comfort zones for many people myself included, I'm not going to pretend that the constant intense discourse has not impacted my own mental health multiple times. Take a break from them if you're feeling too overwhelmed, they'll always be there doing their own things.

Loving bangtan for me has been one of my longest experiences in any fandom ever, and one way I've kept that love alive has been through taking well spaced breaks and watching original content outside of what online spaces have been saying.

And repeat with me : Solo's are all antis.

Take care of yourself, and like namjoon said protect yourself now .

Saw a jikooker wish de@th on Taehyung, his fault? Nothing absolutely, he's miles away in his own camp away from Jimin and jungkook, he's minding his business doing whatever he signed up for.

You see a person minding his own business and you wish de@th over a kpop ship will never sit right with me. Truth be told, it isn't the first time, but especially since he's literally enlisted and didn't engage with either for months now, I felt absolutely disgusted. A rising bile in my stomach.

Here's quick notes to all the jikookers:

1. Taehyung isn't the reason jikook aren't fucking. Never was never will be, stop being insecure despite his presence or absence thereof. You seem to get so absolutely insecure over him, plenty of reasons I get that but kindly hop off his dick.

2. None of you seem normal, your sexualizing something that's quite literally common for male friendships and kpop groups. Get friends, a love interest, a job and a life and most importantly non jikook content where both jimin and jungkook are interacting with others as well, you'll understand how sweet, affectionate and loving those two are in general.

3. Wishing de@th on someone who's has nothing to do with your fantasy, especially when he's minding his own business is not normal, you obsess over him more than the people u claim to stan. If you're bored of shipping and need some spice for the fantasy ship and feel the need to insert Taehyung then go catch some east Asian soap opera. They cater to your interests. Leave real people alone.

4. Armys need to call out jikookers, its not always all shippers. It's jikookers. Call them out, theyve been extremely vile and disgusting to Taehyung and you've done nothing. Or is it that you too think similarly that's why you don't call them out in the first place?

5. Both jimin and Jungkook LOVE Taehyung. Idk what to tell yall. They're literally affectionate and very loving towards him, trust me hes not the villian, your made up narrative is. Mandatory enlistment doesn't mean they're romantically involved. Far from it, actually means there's nothing but platonic love between the two. You're too dense cuz all you do is obsess over a third person who doesn't give a fuck.

Re: the ask about why JK gets such a hard time in the ship wars, I feel like there's some heteronormative gender presentation nonsense going on. Tae (and JM) are seen as softer, perhaps more femme in some instances whereas JK is often masc presenting. So he's painted as the uncaring "man" leading along these soft helpless cuties who are just victim to his whims 🙄 ignoring the fact that there's plenty of evidence to suggest they're at equal standing, that JK gets looked after too, etc.

Really? I know a lot of Taekookers consider Tae the more domineering and "masculine" in the relationship. JK is consitantly the man in Brimothy, in TK his role varies, because JK fans and TKKrs view his whole self, which is more fluid than simply masculine or femme.

I think by simply being the common denominator in the wars he's the easiest to be shat on.
