wow I was so glad to see your update today. I have had just the worst day and an update to my favorite story was just what I needed to decompress. I can't wait to make some tea and snuggle into bed and read.
Hope you're feeling better, your stories (especially midge/lenny) always bring me so much joy.
🥰
To be honest, @theycallme-thejackal schedules the updates and then I post the links.
It's a group effort!
I'm sorry your day sucked. Feel better!

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

I did a good thing I think!
A small YouTube channel who does reaction vids and and live play gaming that I actively watch posted a HPL part 1 reaction a few days ago. I rarely comment but I asked that they reconsider posting the vid and continuing the game and suggested they do some research into the major issues people have with the content in game, specifically mentioning it being antisemitic.
I know it's too late and they already paid for the game, but the next day they did thank me for bringing it to their attention. They have stated that they won't be continuing the game and they took down the vid. I truly think they didn't know and that they first heard about it thanks to my comment.
I only got a little push back from others for my comment, mostly that it wasn't worth my time trying to bring up the issues with the content when the game was already purchased but nothing more alarming than that.
I think I did good. But was it enough? I feel I was being kind and level headed. Just giving the information was enough in this case. I did unsubscribe till they responded to my comment.
In your opinion what else could/should I have done?
-trying to be an ally
I don't think there was anything else you could do. This was the perfect way to handle this, in my opinion, which, admittedly, doesn't mean very much, as I am one tiny person.
But the thing is that facts are the best way to tackle this stuff, I think. If we get mad, we get called oversensitive, or too angry, or too woke, you know?
So if you're just like "yo, here's what people are saying about this game/show/etc, maybe promoting it isn't awesome?" it lets people look for themselves, and make the decision for themselves.
And sometimes people will double down, and sometimes they'll think about it. You can't control other people.
In these instances, there really isn't an "enough" because all of us just one single person, and we can only do what we can do. <3
