Notes: This idea came to me about two weeks ago, and I wrote it within the same night gfjfjfk. I hope you enjoy this Valentine's fic -- it's titled after one of my favorite songs! <3

The fourteenth of February – Sweetheart's Day – as it’s known here in Twisted Wonderland. A day in honor of the goddess of love and beauty, where romance was around every corner and admirers prospered.
It seems I have one of my own, you thought, noticing the dazzling and voluminous bouquet sitting on the island of Ramshackle’s kitchen. A lovely little purple box was placed next to it, adorned in golden trim and a red bow. Peering through the window of the box, you saw an assortment of sweets. A few chocolate-covered strawberries still appearing fresh, heart-shaped macarons in various shades complementing the box, and finally petit fours decorated in the signature colors of your dorm. Upon closer inspection of the bouquet, you observed the selected flowers: traditional red roses, gardenias, jonquils, blue violets, and moss rosebuds. A note was nestled between your collection of nature’s beauties, and it read:
Your eyes shine like ever radiant starlight,
Will you choose to be mine tonight?

A smile blossomed on your lips as you huffed, feeling as though you were the lead in a cheesy romance movie. Taking the box with you and keeping it away from Grim’s tired and hungry grabby hands, you left to attend your first period.
“Whatcha got there, Y/n?” Ace asked, jogging up next to you in one of the exterior hallways.
“A box of treats from an admirer.” you replied matter-of-factly.
He chuckled before speaking, “Any clue who it is?”
“Not yet. The note was only signed with an a–”
Your sentence was cut off as an arrow whizzed by only about 4 centimetres in front of your face.
“Arrow.” you finished, handing your box to Ace.
You approached the section of mortar where the arrow was lodged. Attached to its sharp end was a letter and another moss rosebud wrapped in purple striped twine. Recalling your flowers and note, you had no doubt as to who had sent their affection flying your way. Tugging the arrow out of the wall, you carefully removed the note. Lifting the flower off of the paper, you wordlessly gave it to the redhead next to you before opening the light brown letter.
Witnessing your joy is truly a treasure,
I hope my gift brought you pleasure.
Please do me the honor of accompanying me,
In the majestic forest beneath the trees.
Eight o’clock tonight,
Follow the lights.

Excitement bubbled in you at the prospect of meeting your admirer, but it was slightly dispelled by Ace’s pessimism.
“How do you know they’re not going to murder you?”
Sitting down at the table of your merry little band of first years for lunch, you were immediately bombarded by statements.
“An arrow at your head?! It definitely sounds like they want to kill you.”
“Thank you, Deuce, very supportive.” you retorted.
“Letting treats and letters win you over so quickly?! Ha, what a silly little human!”
With a glare at the group, silence reigned. At least until Jack spoke up, “Do you know who it is?”
“I don’t.” you replied.
“What if it’s Henley?” Ace joked.
Your entire table groaned at the mention of the most cumbersome member of your class.
“What if it’s Rook?” Deuce queried.
Epel gagged at the idea, but you simply sat with it for a minute.
What if it was Rook?... No, definitely not. While you had been bantering more and more often, even borderline flirting really, there was no way. He had taken it upon himself to teach you archery, and walk you back to your dorm everyday after classes, and bring you dinner on nights where you were too occupied by your studies, and help you branch out in fashion, exploration, and… oh Great Sevens, it was Rook.
Noticing your sudden introspection, the first years slowly went quiet. As you fought to keep your cheeks from widening, Epel’s face looked aghast as he shouted “No!”
When the clock struck seven forty-five that night, you finished dusting off your outfit and left Ramshackle. As the poem said, lights outlined your path across the campus and through the forest. The little balls of light dissipated after you passed, most likely due to their magic origins. The woods near campus were truly beautiful – pines, oaks, ash, cedar, and even apple trees – created a lovely backdrop. As you got closer to the river, more lights appeared. The soft bubbling in unison with crickets enveloped you in nature’s music as your steps soon met various flowers that coexisted with the vast expanse of trees. A smile and ironic chuckle occurred on your lips as you realized they were the exact flowers from your bouquet.
“Thank you for joining me, ange.”
Your head turned to face the blond emerging from behind the large weeping willow bordering the river.
“Of course. It’s only fair that I come admire you as well.”
He winked before voicing, “You didn’t come see me out of duty.”
You chuckled lightly before replying, “No, I did not. I came to confess my affections for you… but I feel as though you already knew.”
He smirked and took your right hand, “What kind of hunter would I be if I didn’t?”
You followed him as he guided you to a small rowboat. He held your hand to provide support as you stepped in and sat down before sliding in across from you and grabbing the oars. He set a light pace as you traveled north, observing the various changes in your surroundings. While the silence was loving, you couldn’t help but ask a question drifting through your mind.
“I noticed you gave me moss rosebuds twice. Do they have a special meaning I am unaware of?”
“Indeed they do.” He began, focusing on you yet still rowing, “They represent confessions of love. Blue violets mean I will always be there, jonquils communicate a desire for affection returned, gardenias stand for secret love, and red roses are for your one and only love.”
With each addition to the list you felt giddy, and by the end like swooning.
Rook laughed at your visible reaction – something you decided was now one of your favorite sounds.
In two more rows, you arrived near the windmill. Beneath it was a perfect little picnic, set up with more magic lights and ravishing food. A large box also laid wrapped similarly to the one for your treats – minus the window. With your hands once again intertwined, you slowly approached the romantic setting.
When you sat down, Rook smiled brightly before handing you your gift box and saying, “Happy Sweetheart’s Day, ange.”
You eagerly unwrapped the Pomefiore-colored box and gasped at what was inside.
A breath-taking bow sat in red silk, it’s dark cherry wood a perfectly contrasting match. Patterns of nature were carved into the wood, and no matter how small the line or crevice they all appeared to have been sanded. Such a tenacious task done with so much care and tenderness brought forth strong emotions, and you found yourself thanking the hunter with a kiss. He seemed momentarily caught off guard before melting at your long awaited touch.
“I love it, Rook.”
“And I love you, Y/n.”

You put a gun to my head so here I am asking for the most sickeningly domestic scene from the Reunion Cafe you can give me.
"Talulah? Could you please give this a try and tell me if it's alright?" Alina extends a fingertip dipped in cake batter towards Talulah as she rests her whisk against the side of her bowl.
"Of course-" Talulah leans forward to accept, audibly clicking her tongue against her teeth with a pondering expression. "-Why, it's just perfect. Divine, really. And I suppose the cake batter is not bad either."
"Talulah. Really now-!" Alina pats flour off her hands against her apron and her mouth scrunches to the side reproachfully.
"Can the two of you get a room or something?" Lyudmila quips from her seat in the doorway as she fastens her knee pads. "Also if there's any small orders, I have a little room left on the bike to take them."
"Sorry Lyudmila." Talulah walks a small box over to her, "No other orders, but why don't you bring these petit fours to that rope bunny girl you've had your eye on-"
"Don't call her that." Lyudmila flushes bright red in the face of Talulah's knowing smile, but swipes the box regardless. When she turns to go out the door, however, a wall of an individual blocks her path.
Patriot silently blocks the way. In his hands, he extends Lyudmila's helmet expectantly.
"...Right. Don't worry. I'll wear it." Lyudmila takes it and fastens it onto her head. Pleased, Patriot steps aside and makes his way back to the kitchen.
Minutes later, Yelena walks through the front door, arms loaded with groceries from the market.
"Eno, Sasha, those tables look great. I'll give you some candy if you help me unload everything."
"You know we'd do it anyway." Sasha tucks his washcloth into the edge of his apron, and Eno puts the finishing touches on the table.
"Hold on, don't say that-we're singing tonight. We need that candy!"
"Then get a move on." Yelena hands them two pieces each as they pass her in the doorway, "And while you're out there, let Misha and Alex know they can trim some flowers from the garden for the vases on the table? Thanks."
"Talulah," Alina gives her a pair of friendly swats on the shoulder, "go lend her a hand would you? As much as your shameless flirting and matchmaking is so very entertaining."
"I'm going, I'm going-here, Yelena-" Talulah intercepts a particularly heavy package from her and holds it low, "-load me up."
"Thanks-ah, actually, could you take over? I need to talk to Daddy-"
Talulah flashes a conspiratorial smile, "-Aren't you already-?"
Yelena and Alina sigh in unison with the long-suffering air of being Talulah's partners for as long as they have.
"Hey Alina. Sorry. We'll be short-staffed tonight. I have to kill her now."
"If you can get to her before Patriot does. Really, Talulah. You just saw him walk past. You'd better thank your stars the espresso machine is so loud."
Yelena piles boxes into Talulah's arms until she can no longer see her winsome grin, then heads to the back to find her father.
"Daddy," She calls out, "Are you ready?"
"In here."
Yelena pulls her desserts from the freezer and sets them before him at the table.
"I'm having trouble narrowing it down to one design. It's just...missing something. But here, this parfait can come in one of three flavors. There's a chocolate mousse, vanilla clotted cream, and a strawberry shortcake."
"I see." Patriot folds his claws on the table as neatly as he can, though they are comically large on the surface. His tone is very grave indeed, and Yelena wonders if he is perhaps considering how to voice a gentle rejection, when-
"I think-" Patriot intones seriously, "-I think we should keep all three." Another pregnant pause. "-May we?"
"Oh-dad, it's your restaurant! You worried me. I hadn't realized you've become such a glutton."
"All of ours." He corrects her, "But yes. If admitting that much will keep all three of your recipes on the menu. Yes. I am, a glutton."
He reaches for the shell-shaped white chocolate garnish on one of the parfaits. With a slight exertion of pressure, he snaps the shell into two leaf-like shapes. Yelena watches as he dips the points of the shell into the ice cream at the top, arranging them gingerly with his claws until they resemble the ears of a rabbit poking out of the ice.
He folds his claws again and spends a long moment beholding his work.
"I am pleased with this." He announces, and Yelena knows, knows how dearly Talulah is going to tease her, but there's nothing for it-Patriot's oft-unreadable expression is radiating too much pride.
"...Daddy..."
...
Patriot stands behind the polished wood counters at the cake display. He listens as Eno and Sasha's warm vocals lilt from the small stage in the corner. He watches his daughter between Talulah and Alina, enduring their overt appreciation of the decided parfait designs. The youngest, Misha and Alex, catch up over the coffee he has brewed them personally-with just a little milk to sweeten it. Lyudmila idles at a table with some cake of her own, taking a well-deserved rest; she has taken a liking to petit fours, recently.
The room is warm, lively, with the scent of coffee, of crumble cake, the aroma of fresh-cut flowers.
All is as it should be.
All is well.

KISS; Kissing the icing off the other’s cheek, for Rulie?
Reggie yawned as he flicked on the lights to the kitchen, hearing the familiar hum of the fluorescents, the permanent scent of sugar hanging in the air. He readied the coffee maker as Julie tidied the front to her liking.
"Right," she said, clapping her hands together. "What's on the docket for today?"
"The lemon squares are doing really well, so I'm thinking a double batch of those are in order," Reggie said, ticking each item off on his fingers. "The Hendersons are coming by at noon to pick up the petit fours for the baby shower, Carrie wants a batch of strawberry shortcake macarons for her gathering tonight, I have the stuff for the pavlovas at the ready, and the cupcakes need icing."
"Righty-o, I'll make a basic buttercream and we can flavour and dye it as needed," Julie replied, flicking on their speaker and started blasting the playlist they made to bake to. Some chefs might prefer quiet, or the bustle of the kitchen, but she and Reggie were music lovers at heart, so they always had a song blaring while they were back here.
"The petit fours just need to be boxed, so I'll get that done while I wait for the egg waits to come up in temp. Then start on the mise for the pavlovas," Reggie said with a nod, then pulled Julie in for a quick peck before they broke apart to start their tasks.
A lot of their friends and family thought they were a little insane, starting a business together so soon after getting married, but with their long hours at separate bake shops, they replied it was the best way to spend any time together. Plus they had met working a a little cafe together, her doing pastry while he did more complex deserts and fell in love, so it seemed to work out well for them.
It had been a long hard road to get Starlight & Sunshine Sweets up and running; from getting the loans to designing the space and designing the menu. It had lead to a fair few fights and storming off, then always coming back together, usually each of them holding an apology treat and laughing together as they scarfed them down over apologies and kisses.
But it was theirs, open and booming with business. They had even expanded, bringing in Willie with his killer barista skills to make and serve coffee, and Kayla offering a small selection of savoury dishes-her mini quiches were a huge hit. They did a few events, and were even thinking of offering custom cakes if they could hire another baker to help with the load.
Reggie had the orders boxed up and the meringue mixture made, fruit cut up, and all the dry ingredients for the macarons sifted and ready to fold. "How's that icing coming darlin'?"
Julie grinned at him, showing the half dozen different bowls, from coffee to lemon to chocolate icing all ready to go. Plus a smear of the regular buttercream spread across Julie's cheek, tantalizing him. So Reggie went over, kissing the icing off. "Delicious," he said with a wink.
"Reggie!" she giggled. "Not in the kitchen, we agreed!"
They had done that. Especially after Willie caught them covered in the syrup from the bacon pancake cookies, and not much else. He had just smirked and said he wasn't eating any of that batch and left them to it. But still, he loved his wife, and she was sweeter than anything they made back here, so who could blame him?
"Fine," he whined. "But later?"
"We're not using the icing, it took me forever to get out of the sheets last time," Julie replied primly. "But yes, later."
"Love you."
"Love you more," she replied, blowing him a kiss before going back to filling her piping bags while Reggie turned to the lemon curd mixture he'd made last night.
They had all the orders ready plus lots of stuff ready for the day before Willie came in, and he wisely said nothing about their swollen lips and rumbled aprons, but did wink at Reggie as he subtly closed the door to the walk in.
Reggie blushed, bright as a strawberry, and handed Willie a lemon bar to keep him quiet while Julie was busy taking the biscotti from the oven. the barista winked and miming zipping his mouth shut before shoving the bar inside it and giving Reggie a thumbs up.
It wouldn't be too long before the bell above the door would be sounding non stop, but they had earned another break, so once Julie had set down the hot tray, Reggie pulled her in for a sway around the kitchen as their playlist switched to a slower song.
Julie sighed and snuggled in, resting her head against his chest, inhaling the scent of honey, marzipan, and vanilla that always seemed to cling to Reggie. She knew they had lots left to do, but she relished these quiet moments with Reggie before the chaos set in. This was what kept them sane, working together, these moments that were just for them.
"Incoming!" Willie yelled, and they broke apart, smiling, and going back to their stations, playfully hip checking one another as they kept baking.
Sure, sometimes life was hard, and their work life balance was a bit skewed, but they both knew that together? They made life all the sweeter.

Kurt laughed at Blaine as they stepped out of the taxi in front of the Chinese restaurant where Mike’s party was being held.  Red bags in hand, Blaine was practically bounding on the tips of his toes in excitement. “What has gotten into you?”  Kurt asked, marveling at the enormous grin plastered on the other man’s face. “Kurt, “ Blaine had this incredulous look on his face as he addressed him.  “Have you never been to Jing Fong before?” “Um, no?” “Wait, wait . . or had dim sum, like ever?”
The mention of Julliard again started to make Kurt's pulse race.  He quickly selected a bao (pork bun)  from one of the bamboo steamer baskets littering the table.  As he bit into it to distract himself, Kurt savored the fluffy bun and the sweet and savory pork inside. 
Brittany pulled Kurt out of Blaine’s arms and into the kitchen.  “Oooh, Kurt can you make me the pretty pink unicorn drink you made me last week?” She giggled excitedly and clapped her hands as Kurt nodded. Britany practically skipped away after Kurt as she followed him into the kitchen.
Tried to think of what Brittany would consider as a pink unicorn drink that Kurt would have made her. Here's are some ideas ( I imagine, whatever it is, the rim would be covered in pink sugar crystals or some sort of rainbow edible glitter, no?

I want to say thanks again to all the folks who have been reading along with the fic. I really appreciate your kudos, comments, and just the time you're taking out of your lives to spend with these versions of our favorite characters.
I mentioned on A03 we aren't done with these boys yet - there's more story to come. I'm just going to be a bit busy with family things and some traveling in the next few weeks, so there's going to be a little wait for chapter 13. And I think it's a good one!

not really a yandere story, this one's just cute! Just gonna drop a good one instead of explaining where I've been all this time.

"Peter Benjamin Parker!"
Wasn't a good thing to hear as a teen and it still isn't a good thing to hear as a 27 year old super-hero-but-also-photographer-by-trade. He had only just removed his mask and turned to the source of the alluring voice to see the love of his life.
Definitely angry and with a sharp glare in those beautiful eyes... and it's at that angry look that he remembers why he even left in the first place! Eggs... he forgot the eggs again. He only stepped out for a minute! He could go back out-
"Don't you even think of stepping out that window again Peter Edgar Benjamin Parker!" Oh, you're really mad this time.
"I ask you to do one! Thing! What is that?!" Before he even opens his mouth to respond you continue, "Get eggs! Why? For me to make cakes for YOUR office party that YOU signed me up for!" It was technically his boss, J Jonah Jameson, who signed you up for it but Peter didn't want to bring that up and earn more ire. Why the Daily Bugle is hosting a potluck, he doesn't know but it is a test of all the worker's ability to cook and everyone is pulling all stops.
He was specifically told "Parker, since it seems the only thing you're capable of doing is bringing half-shot photos of Spiderman, I don't trust you to bring in anything edible. You better leave it to that girlfriend of yours. Mary Jane or whatever."
"Ah, it's actually-"
"Don't correct me, Parker. Didn't I just say 'or whatever'? Whoever it is, I'm sure it's better than you! Have them bring it in or else!"
And with that, you were unwillingly listed in the catering field for the next week as you figure out what to bring, what you need and how you'll do it in the small apartment kitchen. With Peter hovering over your shoulder, you settle on bite sized portions of three types of cake, lemon pound cake, chocolate cake and strawberry cakes, each with little pads of icing or glaze on top. Peter called them cupcakes, you called him uncultured in the kitchen. "Petit Fours" you called them.
And all you asked of him was to bring you a 24 pack of eggs... which he didn't...
"Peter Edgar Johnson Parker! Are you listening to me?!"
"Yes, of course! I'm sorry! I promise I'm listening."
"Then why didn't you do what I asked! You decided to just fight random thugs on the street again." Your voice went from dry anger to wet anger. You sounded like you were going to cry. "It wasn't even any of your big bad enemies. The police could have taken care of these guys! Why don't you care about me?" You finished by dropping your head and hugged yourself.
Peter drops his mask and races to your side and attempts to both hug you and lift your face to look at him.
"I'm sorry baby, I'm sorry. Look at me, please?"
"No" You cry out, head still dropped and trying to hide yourself from him. You're immediately embarrassed because you're crying over such a little thing as a carton of eggs that you yourself could've gotten in the interim - remembering you had actually done so after he left.
You already knew that he was going to stop and fight some bad guys. It's his job. And he has to do this to keep you safe. You know this, you do. But just, over and over and over again. He forgets what you ask him to remember when he's fighting and it's to the point where it feels almost purposeful and that you're not worth remembering.
You wipe your eyes and sniff. You're mad. Stay mad. You remind yourself.
"Get out." You say. Trying to make it not obvious that you're crying and failing as he looks at your red shiny eyes.
"What? No wait -"
"Peter Charles Edgar Johnson - whatever the - PARKER!" You yell out. "Get out of the living room! Get out of the kitchen! Let me cook in peace!" You push away from him and watch his strong arms drop limply to his side, bumping off of his body as they fall.
Calling the expression on his face the "kicked puppy" look would make him seem less hurt than he actually was. But you were mad and you had to make yourself be strong.
"Go to the room, Peter. Now." You point for emphasis at the doorway a mere 3 feet away. The imposing hollow core door that hung crookedly on its hinges felt more like iron bars. And after a staring contest of 10 seconds, he slowly made his way into the room.
He didn't turn on the light and instead stood in the dark and stared at you until you ahem'd him to close the door with another flick of your finger. He complied...
With a stiffening of your shoulders, another wipe of your face and a full body shake you got started with cooking. You removed the eggs that YOU bought from the fridge and pulled up the recipes for the three cakes you intended to miniaturize and got started. Halfway through the second's batter beating, you heard the loud creak of the door opening and knew the eyes watching you belonged to your sulking boyfriend.
You didn't turn around, instead just let him watch. And as you cooked and moved and decorated, he slowly emerged from the room and sat in the doorway. You assume anyway, because you refused to turn back and look at him, still wanting to make him feel how upset you were despite not being so angry any more.

With you finally finishing up on the decorating portion, you felt that Peter had moved closer now and decided to finally glance at him. You see him propped against the corner of the kitchen's island and looking at you with his own set of tired and red rimmed eyes.
You look at him, the desserts and the sink half full of dishes and breath out an exhale. You grab a pink iced mini cake and a lemon cake and walk over to him and drop down into a cross legged position in front of him. Without a word and without looking into his eyes you pass him the strawberry cake.
He's staring at your face and you can feel it while you watch him in your peripheral vision bite into the cake.
"Is it good?" You ask after a far too long moment.
"mhm" he says around the cake in his mouth.
You lean against his shoulder and look up at his face.
"... can you do the dishes?" you ask. I love you, I'm sorry.
"Mhm" he kisses your forehead and then leans his head onto yours.
"I love you" "I love you too"

I'll Stop Projecting When I'm Dead: AiB Characters and the Fancy Cakes They'll Give You For Your Birthday (With Pictures and Backstory)
(Note: I could only include 10 pictures in this post so I've only done 10 characters. Last Boss, Aguni, Usagi, Mira, Niragi, Kuina, Chisiya, Hatter, An, and Arisu.)
Last Boss: Homemade Lemon Raspberry Cake

Last Boss is not a good cook. He does not appreciate nor does he particularly understand nuances of flavor, and he especially hates when he doesn't have a clear-cut and intricate set of directions in front of him.
Perhaps that's why he's so adept at baking—it's all about following the recipe to the letter and involves little to no guesswork. He does everything exactly as it says and it comes out perfectly.
Assembly is another story. He's clumsy with the icing and by the time he's ready to place fresh raspberries on top, he's too frustrated to do anything other than dump a heaping handful on top and call it a day.
It doesn't matter what it looks like, after all, because he knows you're going to love how it tastes. The lemon sponge cake is light and airy, and the buttercream frosting sweetens the bite of the berries. It tastes like sunshine, which is how you make him feel when you flash him your easygoing smile.
Aguni: Neopolitan Cake

Aguni doesn't know which kind of cake you like.
There is a whole rainbow of cakes in the case in front of him, each looking perfect and pretty with their frosting-sculpted flowers and colorful toppings, and while that may inspire gasps of delight from some, all he feels is frustrated. And embarrassed. This is something he should know about you—he should have listened more, paid better attention to what you ate when you were together.
He's just about to give up and ask for help when he sees it—at the far end of the case, towards the back. A cake that is not one, not two, but three different flavors. Chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry: out of all those three, you'll have to like one of them, right?
...Right?
Usagi: Flower Cake

When Usagi finishes icing your cake, she can't help but feel a little defeated. All of the components are correct—the fluffy-moist cake, the sticky-sweet vanilla frosting—but there's just something missing. She put the cake in the refrigerator and resolves to look at it in the morning after a good night's sleep.
When she's on her early morning hike, she passes by a lovely bunch of early blooming violets, and that's when the idea strikes. Edible flowers. There's even a florist on her way home that'll have what she wants in stock—violets, pansies, whatever she can think of. And it won't be difficult to scatter them all over the surface of the cake, almost like the wind blowing through a flower field and scattering petals in the sun. It'll be the perfect touch.
Mira: Petit Four Assortment

The perfect accompaniment to any tea party, Mira special orders a selection of hand-crafted treats to be presented to you on her favorite tea tray.
Each flavor was carefully picked with you in mind. Mira has been making mental notes of all of your favorite things since the moment she met you, and has been paying special attention to your personal tastes when it comes to food for the past few weeks. Has she, perhaps, been offering you a few more snacks than usual? Perhaps. And have said snacks contained more exotic fruits and delicacies than usual? It's difficult to say. What matters is the sweet, sharp way she observes you testing each treat, eyes drinking up each and every last reaction.
Niragi: Bourbon Chocolate Cake With Blackberry Buttercream Frosting

As a game developer, Niragi likes it when things are in order. Put in A, get B. Predictability is important—when he does something, he wants to know exactly what outcome he's going to get.
At the same time, he likes a little drama. A spicy bourbon chocolate cake is exciting, and the way it contrasts with the luxurious blackberry buttercream creates a high-end, sophisticated flavor. It's not your average birthday cake—it's different, and it's bold, and it's the exact amount of unpredictable he planned for when looking up recipes online.
Kuina: Sunset Cake

Kuina is a romantic. Even though he doesn't often show it, she really does love the simple beautiful things about life; wildflower fields, butterflies as they flutter across summer skies, the wind whispering through the grass, and all things that are peaceful and pretty that other people often just pass by.
She takes you to the park for a dessert picnic. She finds a table, drapes a bold printed tablecloth over top, and takes your cake out of its box. Even though the icing work is a little sloppy, Kuina did a brilliant job of creating a pretty scene with pinks and violets and yellows and oranges. You each take a slice and enjoy her hard work while watching the sun set over the trees.
Chisiya: Creme Brulee

Creme brulee is not a cake.
You know this.
Chisiya knows this.
But it is the specialty of the fancy restaurant he's taken you to for your birthday celebration. He had made the reservations months in advance, and for good reason—you're seated at the best table in the entire dining room, right by a big window that overlooks the bay and the glittering lights of a bustling Tokyo. Chisiya doesn't quite understand the appeal of cake, anyways, so when you excitedly agree to order the creme brulee, he's very pleased to be dining with someone who shares his cultured views.
Hatter: Fancy, Frilly Cake

Hatter knows a guy. Okay, like, three guys, but only one of them is willing to same-day design and deliver a cake because Hatter forgot your birthday was today to put the order in last week like definitely, originally planned.
He does everything big and loud and bold, so it's no surprise the cake he chooses for you is as flamboyant as he is. The cake itself is pink champagne flavored, and he has, of course, brought a complimentary bottle for you to share as you eat.
An: Matcha Mousse Cake

An is a competent chef. She enjoys cooking dinners for herself and the act of assembling intricate bento for herself (a d sometimes you) is a calming, meditative act she enjoys to perform at the end of the day.
But she doesn't bake. Sweets are too sweet for her, and all the time and cleanup involved just seems more work than it's worth. On her morning coffee run, a pair of desserts catch her eye, and almost without thinking, she purchases two to go.
That night, when you're at her apartment, she presents you with your birthday treat—an individual matcha mousse cake, which trades sweetness for decadent texture and a satisfying green tea flavor. Even An likes it, and you promise to meet her at the coffee shop sometime so you can try their other confections.
Arisu: Blueberry Cake

Arisu is what some would call a "picky eater." It's not that he's unwilling to try new foods—he's surprisingly adventurous, actually—but he doesn't like most of the things he tries. Textures are complicated. Flavors overwhelm. He's sensitive to these subtleties, and, as such, has number of "safe foods" that he can always tolerate.
Blueberries are one of those foods. You tease him about it; of course he likes one of the only naturally-occuring blue foods on the planet, so enamored he is with the hue! And they're terribly portable, making them the perfect gaming snack. Even you can't resist popping a few into your mouth between rounds of Smash Bros.
So he buys you a cake (with the help of his younger brother, who's much more suited to the gastronomical) and, in an almost uncharacteristic stroke of whimsy, dots fresh blueberries all around the cake's perimeter as decoration. And when you share it during a late-night movie marathon, you silently slip a few extra berries onto his plate for him to enjoy.

I know it’s late but take Aspen’s valentine thing
“Mama! Aspen est amoureux!”
“Oui, c’est une fille. Really, you must have hope in the prophecy.”
“Félicité have you already called your mother about Aspen’s interest? They haven’t even established anything yet.”
“Oh hush dear, you know how momentous this is for him.”
“Yes, Maman, that was Malachi talking. No Aspen can’t talk right now, he’s in the gardens. He’s picking out flowers to make a meaningful bouquet. Isn’t that so romantic~? Oh, I have to go now. He asked me to keep an eye on his petite fours and the timer just went off. Au revoir!”
As if on cue the sound of a door opening sounded out.
“I’m back!”
His mother and father turned around with a smile.
“Avery, how did the flower searching go?”
“Oh, it went well. It took a while but I think I found the perfect message to send.”
“Alright chéri. Bring them over and let me look at them. Malachi, it seems we’re out of powdered sugar. Could you grab some more on your trip to the store?”
“Of course darling. Be right back.”
“Alright Aspen, talk me through it.”
Aspen gulped and readjusted his glasses.
“Ok. I have some pink honeysuckles to represent devotion and affection. Also the pinks will pair nicely with the other flowers and smells good. Then some white orchids since those represent elegance and beauty. Also honeysuckles and orchids tend to represent true devotion. Then to finish it off is some gladiolus to represent infatuation.”
His mother gleefully clapped her hands.
“Parfait! I think that should give your message perfectly! Ok, now how about your plans for something sweet?”
“I’m using grand-mère’s recipe for petite fours. Chocolate one and vanilla with strawberry jam. All decorated with various hearts and other valentine motifs.”
“Oh, Aspen, you’re sure to please her with this! She would be insane not to go out with you! But we always have the backup plan if needed.”
Aspen paled.
“Mom, please don’t kidnap her. It’s embarrassing.”
Félicité sighed
“Ok, we won’t. Besides she’s sure to say yes! Just know we always have that option. Now go on and finish those petit fours. I’m sure she’ll love them!”
Aspen blushed.
“I really hope so. I don’t know what I would do is she doesn’t.”

Petit Fours (Mei x Chick)
Marzipan is a sweetened almond meal commonly used to cover cakes. Mont Blanc is a cake topped with chestnut puree. Petit fours are small, decorated tea cakes coated in chocolate or sometimes marzipan! They are small and elegant, just like these two!
Neapolitan (Hanna x Malt x Kyle)
A reference to neapolitan ice creams three flavors. Hanna is strawberry because she's sweet, (caring) bright, (studious) and a little tart (scary when mad). She's also pink. Malt is vanilla because he's the classic fearless protag who never gives up. He's sweet and you can always count on him to support you, like how vanilla is used as a base flavor for baked goods and sweets. He also wears white. Kyle is chocolate because he's smooth and luxurious. He's a city boy who dresses to impress. (and mostly wears brown) Like dark chocolate he can be a little bitter at first, but once he opens up to you you'll find he can be sweet too. Like milk chocolate.
Custard Bread (Kyle x Boron)
Bavarois is a type of custard cream and brioche is a type of bread. They are a simple, sweet combination that brings me comfort.

They’d agreed to keep their relationship secret.
They’d agreed to keep their relationship intimate and private, out of sight of the papers and the articles and gossip rags.
But….
Well, in Draco’s opinion, Harry was barely trying at all—“I have a glamour on, so it doesn’t matter all that much” was his excuse.
(It turned out Luna had not been screwing with him that one time about Harry’s glamour being set so that only people he trusts to some extent can see through it.)
However, that didn’t mean Harry could just walk into Draco’s patisserie-bakery shop and hug him without everyone noticing.
“I brought a little lunch for us from your favourite café,” murmured Harry with a smile in Draco’s ear. “Join me when you’re on break?”
And then he sat down at a small table with a cup of coffee, a honey cake petit four, and a treacle tart.
To be fair, Draco couldn’t pin all the blame on Harry. He also forgot where they were, especially when the topic of Harry’s Amortentia cropped up over their lunch of jambon-beurre sandwiches and coffee, though Draco brewed himself a nice cup of darjeeling tea that he promptly choked on.
“Pardon?” he spluttered. “You drank the Amortentia on purpose?!”
Harry waved a dismissive hand. “Of course not, I’m not that daft. I didn’t know it was Amortentia. I just thought I’d found myself the perfect cup of coffee.”
“…That smelled like honey cake and chocolate and strawberries and golden butter,” echoed Draco.
Harry nodded as if that admittance wasn’t the same as saying that he’d been in love with Draco before he’d taken the Amortentia.
That everything he’d said while under the effects of the Amortentia…had been true.
“What’s the matter?” he asked Draco, completely clueless, then narrowed his eyes. “Wait, did I do something weird after all when I took it?”
Draco couldn’t hide the heat rising to his cheeks as the realisation that it’d all been true set in. “Well….”
“You said nothing happened!” Harry looked a bit mortified. “You said I just asked for food!”
Draco bit his lip. “…Why do you think, erm, the love potion smelled like that to you?” he asked instead—the way Harry was acting made him think that perhaps Harry was clueless as to what it meant.
But Harry, as usual, never behaved like Draco expected.
“What do you mean?” Harry had the gall to look at him like he was a bloody idiot. “It smelled like you, of course. I’ve fancied you since you visited my shop.”
Draco’s heart stopped from utter shock. “What?” he barely managed to breathe out. “But that was….”
That was the first time they’d even seen each other since the trial.
“I thought you were cute,” said Harry a bit defensively. “You know, you were kind of flustered and I wasn’t expecting you to smile like that when I made that bouquet, so it’s not like I could help it. You caught me off g—”
Draco cut him off with a kiss, his chair scraping back as he leaned over their small table. A few strands of his hair probably dipped into his tea, and he couldn’t care less.
Harry kissed him back just as ardently.
The next day, the headlines read “Shocking: Coffee Date between Saviour of the Wizarding World and ex-Death Eater?” with a photo of the two of them locking lips at their table in front of everyone in Draco’s shop—Draco didn’t think he’d ever been so embarrassed to open his shop and have both his friends and regular patrons alike give him wolf whistles and congratulations.
Harry, on the other hand, saved the clipping and put it on the checkout counter at his flower shop.

Day 27. Petit Four… I’m not going to lie I still can’t get a decent answer on what the heck a Petit Four is?! Except that it’s tiny bite sized desserts. So here is a Strawberry cream cake, a pistachio and raspberry mousse, a chocolate dipped sandwich cookie, and a lemon lavender cake!

Foods of Thedas: Dishes, Sauces, and Sides
There are multiple food lists for Dragon Age out there, some current, some not. I put this together mostly for my own personal reference and keep updated because I need to clear out my google sheets.
From gravy, desserts, main courses, sides, soups, and stews. The foods are both mundane or share some medicinal uses. But they had to be things that would reasonably be eaten as a food item. So something like powdered tusket horn which is purely supplemental isn’t included. But something like a sauce that also helps with impotence is included since it is implied to be used as a food item and medicinal. So every dish here is canonically mentioned and shown through the games and additional media tie-ins.
This list doesn't include individual ingredients. Those are all in separate posts. Given the size of these lists, I had to split everything up. They were far too long for my tastes, so all links for the additional posts are below and above the cut, so you don’t have to endlessly scroll if you just want to see all the items in one post (the master post) or the wiki page. (Which got put up first because Tumblr really doesn’t seem to like the lengths of my posts.)
