Deep in the basement, locals find a cage made of paper. They find the king in bed, dead. The crow in the paper cage is made of strings. It sings the locals back up the stairs. Heavy, locals note. They water what they can.

Danny, after going on a walk through the Ghost Zone, comes across a very friendly couple who quasi-adopt him.

They're super cool, too!

They used to be a part of a traveling circus, and they know how to do all sorts of neat tricks and flips and they teach him how to do them too!

Honestly, with their help his flying becomes next level; they forced him to obey gravity long enough to learn how to ignore it without using his abilities, and as such he gets a greater understanding of how to maneuver through it.

So when his Freshman class goes to Gotham on a field trip (scare tactic to prevent them from becoming drop outs because "oh if you drop out you'll resort to being a thug and you'll be trapped in this cursed city foreverrrrrr ooooooooo~") Danny decides to show off to Sam and Tucker in a small park.

He does a quadruple flip off of a wall he ran up.

Barbara stares in disbelief through her cameras.

That.

That shouldn't be possible?

She calls Dick to ask if he had any siblings or cousins he wasn't aware of.

Just binge-watched this entire mini-series last night and it was very strange and surrealistic. I liked it, maybe because it was so different, albeit, difficult to understand, it was very interesting, sad, and sweet.

Described as a “fantasy bl series,” it is definitely strange and often difficult to comprehend, exactly, what is going on, throughout, but worth hanging in until the end.

May contain triggers, I’m not positive, but you’ve been warned, just in case.

You can watch on You Tube and the company that made it, also has two others: Calculating Love and Once in Memory. The company is called Mind Trio.

I wouldn’t read the review until afterward, so as not to “spoil” any of the story.

Captain’s log, number 197.

Well, it finally happened. They warned me it would when I took humans aboard, but I didn’t believe them.

The humans have threatened mutiny over an object they have pack-bonded with.

A few cycles ago, one of the humans placed ... decorative items ... what are they called? “googling eyes?” upon one of the maintanence drones. While against procedure, this seemed to be amusing to the humans and I let them have this bit of enrichment to their environment.

Last cycle another human, or perhaps the same one, I haven’t been able to get a clear answer on who did it, decided to expand upon this decoration with the addition of black bonding tape, cut into shapes the humans find very amusing.

In another cycle we will be docking at space-station 114-Hartnell for our annual maintanence and reguation-compliance inspection. I need not say how we must be reguation compliant in order to maintain our trade lisence with the alliance.

This would, of course, include that all maintanence drones are kept up to code. So I ordered the humans to remove the decorations.

... I ...

...I have no words ...

Their reaction.

They named him.

It! I meant to say, they named it.

They stated, and I quote, “You will not touch one hair of Robert Floor-Buffington the third, captain, or there’ll be a problem!” 

They’ve made up stories! Robert Floor-Buffington, he’s a humble, but hard working space bot, who just wants to do right for his a robot wife, and robot children!

It’s a maintanence drone! Identical to the hundred other maintanence drones we have on board.

But the humans they’re insane!

They just will not be moved on this issue.

... Maybe I can pursuade them to just ensure this Robert Floor-Buffington is kept out of the inspectors way. We have a hundred identical models, surely they won’t notice that one is missing?

***Log paused for incoming message***

Captains log addendum.

Perhaps the inspectors will not notice four maintanence drones are missing.

The humans have decided to decorate three other drones and have taken to referring to them as the “wife and two children of Robert-Floor Buffington the third.”

At this time, there is a heated debate occuring in storage bay three over what the names of this robot family will be.

Additional. I have over two-hundred days of shore-leave accrued. I think I’ll be making good use of that in the near future.

I recently did a project for local band Weird Year (for their latest album Nick Hates The Beach). It ended up something like a tour journal following a band on a strange roadtrip along the California coast, dodging the surreal and the fantastic all the way to a gig.

This was such a fun project for me. I love doing art for music and making up a little narrative of an indie band roadtrip was just... so damn fun.

Jason Todd sees something...super concerning.

It's Timmers, in the pouring fucking rain, no disguise, standing on a street corner.

And some sleaze in a nice car pulls up.

Jason watches in disbelief as Tim slinks over to the rolled down window and leans against the vehicle.

He holds out hope that it's just to plant a tracker, but then the back door opens and a dark hand reaches out to grab Tim by the collar of his shirt, tugging him into the vehicle.

And Tim is...laughing. He's laughing and allowing himself to be dragged into a strange vehicle. Jason's a ways away, so he can't hear it, but Tim has never been super comfortable with touch, so he knows it's fake.

And no. No no no. Whatever fucked up undercover bullshit this is can go down the fucking drain, and he will personally break Bruce's legs if he finds out that Bruce condoned this.

So he shoots out the tires, grapples down, grabs Tim, and gets him the fuck away from that situation.

Five buildings over he drops Tim on the roof and starts pacing.

"What the fuck. What the fuck. Did Bruce put you up to this? Tim what the fuck? Did they touch you? Do you need Leslie?"

There's no answer, and Jason finally faces Tim-that's not Tim.

That's not Tim, it's just someone that looks weirdly like him.

"...Tim? Bruce? Ohhhhhhhhhh my fucking ancients is Bruce Wayne Batman?!"

Jason can already feel the shitshow that's going to be rained down on him for this.

"Also thanks for the save, but that was by husband and wife picking me up. I'm really flattered, though. Seriously. You're a good guy, even if you do smell like sewage."

Jason smells like what?
