oh kamilah sayeed my silly little very traumatized vampire who has yet to recover from a 2000 year abusive, toxic relationship (and probably never will bc) she insists: she is better. she has recovered from that; and now all she has to deal with is the weight of her own actions. (actions that are impossibly intertwined with her ex lover, but don’t tell her that)

Wait, WHAT??!!!!-
A new theory commences, what if Casey found her way into the past and warned her fellow turtles about The Kraang? Everybody kept mentioning about THIS GUY 👇👇👇👇
Tumblr media
The so-called Big Mama Assistant sort of is a debated theory of it being the mysterious stranger from the future. And, the design of it looks like it is some sort of a new mutant turtle that everyone suspects that it is Venus de Milo, the female counterpart of the turtle. Due to its near feminine posture and the looks like a turtle.
Tumblr media
But if you looked closely. The Plastron design was actually a part of its cloak. And its back is too slim and flat to be a turtle shell. Well, I'm not sure about the whole three fingers thing. But just bear with me...
What if this is Cassie, from the future? I don't know how to say this, I'm not good at theorizing. But, this could be the reason why it has the base design for the turtles if no one has ever seen the turtles before.
The reason why it is able to stand beside Big Mama is that Cassie and the Foot Clan once used to have business with Big Mama seen in the "Insane in the Mama Train". Cassie knows a lot about her and she has proven to be extremely observant due to her finding out how Big Mama controlled the Shadow Fiend.
She is also extremely skillful for a recruit, meaning she will indefinitely grow stronger a lot faster in the future. Which might be a good material to pass Big Mama's approval to be her personal assistant. And her times with her masters of the Foot Clan have definitely taught her about discipline about being a follower, not to mention her experience of being incognito and addressing herself as a brownie manufacturer CEO.
And due to her coming from the future, it is explainable that her costume design was meant to be a reminder of how much she had spent her time with the turtles. Something bad had happened to them, hence her reason to go back into the past to warn her beloved friends. She's back to protect, to save her family, from their doom, and perhaps...to end her suffering for losing them.
That would be my theory, but that doesn't it's the truth. It only feels right to dumb all these words out so that it won't bother too much.
And Yes, MASSIVE CASSIE ANGST INTENSIFIES for all of you out there who are a huge fan of the formidable foot recruit, Cassandra Jones.
Let me know what you think! I could be wrong, but that's the fun of it.

It’s been ages and ages, but the new Downton film (& lots of extended convos with @ohtobealady, @randomabiling, and @thedowntonhistorian) sparked a bit of writing!
I’m very rusty, but I think we can all always use a new Cobert drabble. :)
Major spoilers for Downton Abbey: A New Era beneath the cut.
They’d walked back to the house arm-in-arm, Cora’s fingers pulling gently at the fabric of his suit as she spoke softly about their plans for the next day. He remembered not a jot of what she’d said, though the feeling of her fingers stroking at his arm lingered even now and made his skin prickle as they lay in bed side by side and staring up at the ceiling.
The room was entirely too warm—too warm and much, much too quiet. He would have preferred to keep walking—would have walked circle after circle around the villa grounds listening to the sound of her voice and feeling the weight of her hand at his elbow. He would jump into the sea, swim across the channel, and then walk the length of England to escape the silence of their bedroom here.
Their conversation had stalled when they’d reached the imposing marble staircase. He’d looked at her as they rounded the bottom stair and had wanted to ask her if she was alright, but the words burned his throat; he took her hand instead and led them both upstairs. Now, lying beside her, listening to her slow, methodical breath, his stomach churned with upset. He’d not listened to a word she’d said as they approached the house. Why hadn’t he paid better attention? How many more times would he hear the familiar intonation of her voice—saying his name, talking about everything, talking about nothing.
His eyes burned and he squeezed them shut, bringing a thumb and an index finger to pinch the bridge of his nose and stave off another round of tears. Cora remained silent, but he felt her shift beside him, and so he reached for her hand and laced their fingers together.
“Are you—”
His words, encouraged by feeling her hand in his own, somehow startled him out of his own musings. It was as though he was listening to someone else entirely, the voice strained and highly irregular. He could not quite bear to turn, to look down at her, for he knew then that she had tipped her chin up and was gazing intently at him.
“That is—I mean.”
She said nothing still, and a frisson of anger prickled in his stomach. For all their years together—the joy, the pain, and all of it in between, she would not yield. No, no. She was content to let him rage and storm and fly off the handle. Her placid countenance, usually a balm for his own nerves, taunted him now. He did not wish to speak about trains or boats or breakfast or shops or anything of that sort. No—he wanted to shout, to turn over every stitch of furniture in the room and to beat his hands against the wall until some other feeling—any other feeling than this sick, heavy despair—came over him.
But no. She would not yield. Would not say the things he so desperately wanted her to say: I’m alright. Really, it’s nothing. Things will look better in the morning.
Instead, she rubbed her thumb against his wrist, back and forth, back and forth, the movement steadier than his own breathing.
“Robert.”
No—no. He would not let her soothe him. He couldn’t bear it just then, the soft, sweet words he knew she’d turned over in her own mind as they laid there.
“Are you in any pain?”
The room was silent, horribly silent, and he wished for the creaking of Downton’s walls and floors, the familiar pop from the fireplace in their bedroom, the wind rattling at the windows that separated them from the cold air and vast parkland below.
“No, I’m not in pain.”
Cora whispered the words back to him, and he wondered if perhaps he’d overestimate the degree to which she remained in control of her own emotions. He wondered, too, as her thumb stilled against his wrist if she was lying to him.
“That is, I wonder—”
The words spilled out of him now, filling up the quiet, and he looked down to face her.
“—are you frightened?”
Cora blinked up at him—once, twice, and then a third time.
“No, I’m not afraid—”
She turned onto her side, mirroring him, and brought her free hand to rest against his face.
“—not when you’re holding my hand.”
He felt no shame as he cried. The tears bubbled up from his throat and he pressed his forehead against hers as he wept into their pillows, into the curve of her cheek.
“Cora. Cora—”
He pressed himself against her and his body shook and writhed in sorrow as she flattened her palm against his back and drew him flush against her, murmuring soft endearments into his ear.
“I am ashamed, you know.”
The words, spoken through his heavy sobs, fell between them and still she said nothing. No, she did nothing except continue to hum soft, gentle nothings at his temple and bring the hand that steadied his back up to his hair, stroking the mussed curls there.
But it was not enough. No—it was not enough now.
“I am,” he repeated a moment later. His voice shook with the effort. “I am ashamed. Ashamed for the way I pursued you, ashamed for being too young and dull-witted to see you there in front of me.”
He opened his eyes then because he needed to see her.
And yes, there in this dark, foreign room, there she was.
She shook her head, slowly, so slowly, and he wondered again if she was in pain.
“You have loved me, and I have loved you. I won’t have your grief say otherwise.”
Grief. He would lose her. He was going to lose her. Her hand entwined in his, still wedged beneath their bodies and pressed against the mattress, her hair smelling of lavender, her eyes bright and fixed on his. He was losing her now, even now, as she lay beside him. It was not grief. No, no it was something quite different—something altogether more expansive and ruinous. Grief would be only the beginning of his end.
He looked down at her and he knew then that she was frightened—perhaps more for him than for herself.
He kissed her forehead, letting his lips linger there, and he listened to her exhale.
“I have loved you,” he whispered against her skin. “I love you.”
“I know, and I—”
Cora’s voice quieted before the sentiment passed her lips.
Once, perhaps, he would have pressed—would have teased and poked and prodded until, laughing, exasperated, she would repeat the words back to him.
Instead, he draped a limp arm over her body and let his palm come to rest against her head. They slid down together beneath the light coverlet in well-practiced, synchronous movement to seek out some respite in the warm, quiet room.
“It’s alright,” he repeated after a pause, after they’d settled heavily against the pillows. The words were more for him now. Cora’s eyes were closed, and he knew from her even breaths that she had fallen asleep.
Of course, it was not alright. It was a lie—a lie that he felt so very keenly in his throat, his chest. But it was a lie he would have to bear for her.

here's my tier list of the pirate101 worlds and also thoughts about them/why they are ranked this way.
long post incoming and also spoilers for the whole game basically! you've been warned
Tumblr media
--
S tier;
Marleybone- this is my absolute favorite world in the game! To see the consequences of our actions unfold was such an amazing experience. When I entered the world for the first time after being told by the NPC that it was, "an active warzone." I thought, how bad could it be?
it was, indeed, bad. I remember my awe looking at all the destruction and hearing the blast of the beachhead cannons for the first time scared me so bad. Only one thought crossed my mind, "we fucked up."
Overall the whole world is awesome! The aesthetic, the plot, catbeard being catbeard, bishop my beloved, Bonnie's promo, and just everything! The only bone I have to pick is that I wish it was longer.
Also the soundtrack is top tier, the skyway theme is on a permanent loop in my wizard101 darkmoor manor.
-+-
A tier;
Cool Ranch- definitely my second favorite world! I understand people don't like the length, but personally, I wasn't bothered by it at all. The two filler arcs were actually super fun.
Atmosphere was top tier, story was awesome, we get El Toro 🎺🎺, and funny puns to which I'm easily amused by
I wish the skyways were not super long; the world definitely would have gone down a tier if there was no Uber. I'd physically start sobbing if the Uber costed crowns.
Best ost is the haunted saloon theme with the piano. It is also played in my darkmoor manor, the spooky vibes are indeed immaculate.
--
Valencia- This world would have been S tier if it wasn't for part two dragging it down. The first part was awesome and I just overall love the steampunk aesthetic.
The music is awesome and it's just overall a great experience. The Kane fight was awesome and the cutscene at the end of the game was such a surprise! It spooked me a bit from the overall unexpectedness.
However, part two is indeed rushed and it makes me long for what it could have been. Nonetheless, I try to appreciate the good parts and for what we got.
-+-
B tier;
Skull Island- The OG world, an enjoyable experience.
It is, however, in B tier due to it being more of a prologue. It's definitely not a bad thing and does an awesome job for what it is.
Ratbeard's questline was the best part!
The Isle of Doom felt like a bit of a drag, however.
--
Monquista- It is good for what it is, and I liked the civil war aspect. The world building for the religion there was also super interesting. However, the world is very short and the skyways are long.
The visuals were awesome, I loved the pink sky and just the overall stark difference from Skull Island- a good fit for the first world. It was also quite hilarious how small the doors and stuff were, which, of course, makes sense- but the thought of how the Young Pirate fits through them along with the crew is so funny to think about.
-+-
C tier;
Mooshu- This world was very beautiful and interesting, don't get me wrong. It was a definite step above Wizard Mooshu and did everything right.
The jokes were hilarious, I laughed for a solid minute at the "Threaten the Chicken" and when that one guy died.
However, there are two main reasons why this world is placed how it is.
The reasons go hand-in-hand. Marleybone is the world directly after it and I've heard SO MUCH about how good it was, how it was awesome, and stuff. Because of this, Mooshu felt like a drag because I couldn't wait to get to Marleybone- my hype was uncontained so Mooshu felt like a brick wall that I had to climb.
I wish I could have enjoyed it more, but if I ever play through Pirate again, I will feel the same way due to how good Marleybone is.
-+-
D tier;
Aquilla- Aquilla, Aquilla, Aquilla, oh where do I start.
I loved the concept of it, to finally go visit the world only seen in snippets in Wizard. However, there was no original content whatsoever. It was all just retellings of famous stories.
Now, some are fine, but when it's the exact same thing every time with nothing new it gets old extremely fast.
It definitely does not help that Aquilla comes after the most solid world in the game, Marleybone. It felt like a drag I had to go through till I could finally finish the game.
Also it was very much a defeat-and-collect quest hell.
The best part of Aquilla was Hawkules, who I very much enjoyed. He is awesome, but not much is done with him. This isn't Aquilla's fault though, as Valencia part two rushed to the finish line.
-+-
Miscellaneous;
Dragonspyre- While this world is in the D tier, it's there because I couldn't add another tier. I wish Avernus skyway could have been expanded upon as I love crossovers between Pirate and Wizard, it makes the Spiral feel so much more fleshed out and 3D. Alas, we did not get much.
---
Spiral Skyways- The skyways you have to travel to get to different worlds were awesome! The scenery is so beautiful and it just gives me so many thoughts about lore and how things work on the spiral: breathing in "space," how ships float in the sky, differences between fish that can fly and water fish biological wise, windstones, where did the stones come from, and so much more!!
I love pondering the games lore so much ajajeoekcorncn
-+-
That is all! Hope you enjoyed it. I am open to civil debate/conversation about these topics if anyone is interested btw.

and good sleep indeed it was.
serena couldn’t even recall the last time she slept so soundly since she moved into this house she got to call home at least until after the baby was born. there’d always be endless train of thoughts, rushing in a lighting speed even, that kept her up most of the nights.
on sundays, especially. there was a time where she couldn’t find sleep because she knew elena would be coming to the house, barging in like a truck going mad on the highway.
now that the particular problem was out of the way and more like into her way to jail, serena went even as far as oversleep last night. she woke up with a jolt when her eyes zeroed down to the number 9:00 AM flashing across her screen.
crap, she hadn’t prepared anything for mason this morning! did he leave already—“mason?”
despite her growing stomach, serena was glad she still retained her ballerina balance on her feet. if not, she would’ve stumbled upon a lying mason, right in front of her door, with a Parenting for Dummies hugged tightly to his chest.
cramped in a rather awkward position and messy locks sprawled across the carpeted floor—now-carpeted floor because mason thought it’d do good to pregnant feet than cold flooring—serena would be lying if she didn’t think the sight was endearing for her standard. “mason?”
the footballer groaned when called, bringing the parenting book closer to his chest. as if it was his plush toy. for god’s sake, he was soon to be a father, he shouldn’t be allowed to be this cute.
“mason,” serena crouched down beside her husband, shaking his body as ferocious as her frail body could because she didn’t want him to wake up with a sore body. “mason, wake up. you’re late to training.”
he hummed as a response, but it seemed that the last sentence was working well because suddenly his eyes shot open. serena stepped back and laughed at his comical reaction, to which mason responded with a whining groan. “why didn’t you wake me up?”
“excuse me, am I not waking you up now?” serena’s eyebrows furrowed accusingly but her smile was anything but. the glint in her eyes was close to a mirth, too, and mason decided he could now truck through the gaffer’s upcoming long speech on his tardiness. or any other berating session, if it meant being granted by this same sight every morning. “but mason, what are you doing here?”
mason scratched the back of his neck, sheepishly. “I fell asleep here.”
“no, I mean, why are you sleeping here?”
“I’m making sure no one barges into the house and attack you again,” the regret lacing mason’s eyes deeply radiated down serena. the woman would very much like to envelope him in a warm embrace if she was given the chance. “I don’t think I can live through the pain again.”

Note 2: I'm fully aware that Tenebrae and Aqua can't fight normally, however their play-styles could be similar to Blackheart from the Marvel Vs. Capcom games, where they can summon monsters for attacks, like Imps for Tenebrae and Polwigles for Aqua.

Fate of a Man is genuinely an excellent movie, and as far as like war films/propaganda pieces go, it really does underline the differences in the American versus Soviet concept of the Ideal Patriotic Hero.

No look.
The ep where Rollisi said their I love You aired on 20th May in my timezone. The date 20th May also sounds similar to how I love You sounds like in mandarin (I mean I don’t think so but I don’t make the rules) so it’s all the rage for couples to celebrate love on this day.
SO LIKE ESSENTIALLY WE GOT A ROLLISI I LOVE YOU ON A DAY THAT SOUNDS LIKE I LOVE YOU OK.
