i’d like to think if sonic had a child, it’d be out of his own will, not any sex or anything like that - more like eggman bioengineering and manufacturing him in a lab with sonic and a random lady DNA and so when sonic sees the kid, he’d be like “wtf who’s kid is this???????????” and then they probably go on this road trip trying to find the kids parents only to realize SONICS the dad, it’d pretty funny

Back with the second part of “Things I would have liked to see in the metal virus arc.”

Pretty much the biggest thing: Vector acknowledging how freaking traumatic seeing him get zombified must have been for Espio…

But then, he -is- a great detective…so I figure that he probably already knows damn well what it must be like: the trick is that Espio would probably have to be the one to broach the subject.

And, of course, Espio being Espio…just wouldn’t.

It was actually a lot of fun to play around with -how- to portray Espio here; there’s a fine line one can dance between stoicism and just shutting down on yourself completely, and it was intriguing trying to capture what Espio is clearly feeling despite his best efforts to hide it.

Metal Virus Warning Message

A warning message was issued on ***** **** xxx for a virus that has spread across the smaller islands where the mobian population is more plentiful. G.U.N has issued a severe threat warning to those within density populated areas with human and mobian population. The mobian population has had an increase of cases of this highly contagious virus so, G.U.N has issued warnings about humans on having contact with the mobian population as a safety warning and has issued a travel ban against the alien population to go towards the more human populated areas.

Though controversial G.U.N has clearly stated that this ban was necessary for the survival of the population as a whole. What’s left of some of the Resistance within more mobian populated areas has made it clear that G.U.N while there intentions may have been for the most part understandable there is still a complete bias in what is clearly being stated within these campaigns.

A Firefox Rival/Counterpart for Tails (Idea)

(Spoiler alert for those who haven't read Sonic IDW below)

In the IDW comics, Tails got his own version of Shadow named Kitsunami (Kit) the Fennec. Spoiler alert, he was kidnapped, brainwashed, and turned into a cyborg by Dr. Starline.

That said, I would love to see Tails unwillingly follow in Sonic's footsteps in terms of getting his own version of Triple S, but with different foxes. We already got a good start with Kit being Tails's Shadow, but what about someone to be Tails's Silver? Since Tails is a red fox and Kit is a fennec fox, all they need to complete the trio is an arctic fox to be their Silver.

If Sega ever decides to incorporate an arctic fox, I think instead of giving them ice powers or making them another kitsune like Tails or Kit, they should have abilities based off another popular myth - the Firefox.

According to Finnish mythology, a Firefox's fiery tail is responsible for the creation of the Northern Lights. Many cultures also associate the Northern Lights with the sprits of the dead.

Silver has psychic powers via psychokinesis. What if the arctic fox's psychic abilities manifested itself via mediumship/channeling (ability to community with the dead)? They would be able to channel spirits through their fiery tail perhaps.

Sonic and Shadow are incredibly fast. Silver isn't as fast as them, but makes up for it with his skills and techniques. The same thing could apply to the arctic fox. Tails and Kit have very high IQs and are skilled in technology and mechanics. The arctic fox may not have high intellect or be a skilled mechanic. However, they make up for it with a high EQ (which seems crucial if you're working with spirits) and a lot of knowledge of the supernatural (Technology vs Magic kind of thing).

Sonic, Knuckles and Tails new forms.

Sonic: His form should be related to the Light Speed dash and Laser Wisp. It seems to be the most appropriate and it stills shows Sonic’s connection to small animal creatures like the Wisp.

Tails: Tails’s form can be obtained via Dark Gaia. I think his transform should be that of the Nine Tails Fox, 7 more tails can lead to better flying for the fox. I think this fits really well because Tails is typically associated with technology so it’s interesting to see him mess with magic, plus, Sonic turns into a Werehog so I think Tails can turn into a Kitsune.

Knuckles: Knuckles has just as much as an appreciation for nature and the planet as Sonic does . So I think a good form for the Echidna is the ability to control the earth thanks to Light Gaia. I guess I also like this idea due to Knuckles’s relationship with Chip in the comics.

I’m realizing that the easiest way to add rouge the bat to the sonic movies in the movies in the third one would be to just. Have her and knuckles know each other? Apparently knuckles is a pretty well known bounty hunter or whatever. And rouge is a master thief. Maybe they worked together on something or have that like cat and mouse relationship. You know what I mean, he’s supposed to catch her she’s always escaping etc.

I think it’d be funny if rouge notices that knuckles has just stopped and figures that he probably found that emerald he was always monologuing about and she just tracks him down for once. Breaking in of course, flirting with him as she steals the master emerald. Then the whole house wakes up and she’s like “oh knuckie, roommates??” And sonic is teasing knuckles the rest of the movie about it.

The other day I had an idea about Sonic's shoes. Since in many transformations Sonic's appearance only changes (except obviously for the Darkspine transformation and Super Excalibur transformation), I came up with this idea!

And what if Sonic had a Super Level 2 transformation where his shoes have wings of Hermes? Since Sonic and Hermes share a very unique quality, which is running very fast. Hermes both flies and runs very fast. Sonic does the same when he transforms. Just like the superhero Flash, he also draws reference from this Greek character. Why not Sonic too?

It’s not really all about the money: not entirely.

That’s always the vibe that I’ve gotten from Vector. Yes, he needs that cash to cover their bills, but only so he can keep a roof over their heads and the boys fed. Did you know that in Sonic heroes, one of Vector’s idle lines is “Darn. I forgot to pay the electric bill.” —that pretty much cemented my impression of him as “Dad friend,” especially considering that Espio and Charmy are underage.

But I also like to think that he never wants the boys to see the bills. I like to think he doesn’t want them to be so bogged down worrying about it that they can’t do, or even enjoy, their jobs.

Hoping to explore this one a little further.

Sonic Zone Location Sorting - Help Appreciated!

Hello all! Because I’m a nerd and insane, I decided to undertake a project which itself is just preparation for a potential bigger project. I have created a document collecting and sorting all Sonic zones by their island, landmass, or other location, covering every game and other media that could conceivably be considered canon to the main series. But I didn’t just cover the levels, I also covered all the various cutscenes whenever possible. I’ll admit, some corners were cut from time to time, but it’s overall extremely comprehensive.

This is where anyone reading comes in, if you feel like you have any intuition where certain zones go, are in any way well-versed on Sonic lore lol, or otherwise just wanna share your thoughts or critiques on my current placements, I would really appreciate it if you comment on the document and give your two cents on where some locations go or should be placed.

This was all done in potential preparation for a Minecraft map project that I thought would be interesting where I attempt to recreate the locations in sonic games in as close to a 1:1 scale as possible on one map. Obviously this would be huge, and may never happen. In any case, having a comprehensive list of all the zones is cool enough, but if anyone is interested in such a project, let me know and perhaps we could discuss working on it.
