May I ask a question about you being a system really quick, if that's ok. If not just delete/ignore this

How'd you suspect you were a system? I've been leaning towards it for a year or so now but I feel like I couldn't be one because the worst of my trauma happened after ages 8-10 and people are always saying that you can't be a system unless it was super early (Aka not at 12-15). Do you think it's still a possibility? I just want the opinion of someone who probably knows what they're talking about (๑'ᴗ')ゞ

the way that i found out was from talking to JJ, a system, and him letting me know that a lot of things i experience are symptoms of being a system. Diye, another system, confirmed this as well, and both of them said they suspected it for a while.

i don't know what the official research on ages is, but i personally think trauma at any age could result in someone being a system. i have no idea what age my traumatic event happened -- my memory doesn't supply me with ages, years, or dates. so i wouldn't know if i fit into that age range either, but i don't think it invalidates either of our experiences.

so yes, i do think it's a possibility. and i think if it's something you suspect, you're able to come to your own conclusions based on your own research and beliefs. :) /gen /pos

What isn't traumatic to you then can actually be hella traumatic to you later!!!! #As a kid I loved helping my mom after surgeries because it made me feel like a Big Kid :tm: #years later I'm dealing with the traumatic effects of ~parentification~ because of that #that's also to show that not all trauma inflicted is purposeful!!!! My mother wasn't trying to parentify me. She genuinely needed help. #I was just an insanely sensitive and fragile kid and still am (tho kid is more of a mental state and not literal) and that's why it stuck #with me! Tho the parentification definitely wasn't the sole cause for my personality never merging together it was certainly a factor!

Hey could some of my followers do me a huge favour and report this TikTok? It is specifically made targeting me and my server and spreading lies and generally just being. Horrendous. The owner of the account, Aspen, got banned from my server not for “saying hi” but for being who they are and encouraging what they do. As you can see in this ban log and ticket, we banned them for allowing our blacklist to be posted in their server and made fun of. all of the blacklist is either common triggers or staff specific ones, and they proceeded to make fun of not only my own but many of my friends triggers. Frankly if they just DMd me and asked why it was a trigger I’d be happy to traumadump since they apparently wanna hear about it so bad but… alas. They decided to just be a dick instead.

They also call us a Syscord. We aren’t even a system discord. We just happen to HAVE a lot of systems. First and foremost our server is a fan server for my content, that is all.

They also have done some other horrendous behaviour like say the boycotts are bullshit and just blatantly being shitty about psychotic triggers

Overall, they just fucking suck! They do all of this under the guise of being “pro recovery” while actively making fun of peoples triggers. Exposure therapy is meant to be done with a therapist, and spoilering shit in our own discord is not “anti recovery”.

Overall aspen is a fucking garbage person and I think you should avoid them and their content but that’s not the point of the post. If possible I’d like you to just report their TikTok [here] and otherwise not engage with them lest you also be a target.
