Playing Spider-Man 2, and I am torn between two possibilities:

Superhero bullshit would drive people out of large cities in record numbers, since they are constantly getting destroyed and threatened and invaded seemingly at all times. Or...

Superhero bullshit would lower the property values in big cities so much that they would quickly become the only truly affordable housing in the country, causing a massive increase in their population as the broke masses decide that the rent is worth the risk.

Honestly I think both are pretty compelling. Hell, you could make an argument that both would happen eventually; first the first, then the second.

It is always in the back of my mind that Olivia Octavius was the Doc Ock of Miles’ universe, like they were in the same universe the entire time!! That’s his Doc Ock!! Was she like a well known supervillain throughout his childhood? Did anyone have any clue to her identity (outside of the Parkers)?? Was it like a big deal to Miles to suddenly learn of this supervillain’s identity even if they hadn’t fought before because everyone in New York knows about Doc Ock??

Even if he had no personal connection to her, had never fought her before, had never met her civilian identity (I think), that’s still a big deal to suddenly find out what a supervillain looks like/is called outside of their costume, right??

Episodic Nostalgia: 2024

Happy (belated) new years, everyone!  It’s been a while since I’ve posted, due to a combination of the holidays, and taking time to catch up with some other stuff I’ve been working on. I’m hoping to post here a little more regularly over the next few months, (my baseline goal is at least one post per week, but obviously that’s all time permitting).

At any rate, I intend to continue focusing my reviews on Star Trek: TNG, and Spider-man: TAS, until I’ve completed their respective first seasons.  Afterwards I may decide to temporarily shift my focus to other series (possibly Deep Space Nine, and Batman: TAS) just to shake things up, but we’ll see when I get there.  In the meantime, my next review will focus on episode 108 of Spider-man, aka “The Alien Costume: Part One!”

I’d also like to thank those of you who have followed, liked, and reblogged my posts.  I see you, and hope you continue to enjoy this dorky little project I’ve decided to undertake.

One big thing that Miles gets stuck on and super distressed about (before he comes out to Rio) is that he feels like he’s stealing his mom’s son away from her, and when you take that speech she gave in the atsv trailer and apply it to this situation, it really does make them feel so so so bad. but also kinda hopeful ! because she wasn’t like “don’t take it all away from me” she was like “make sure you take care of yourself” and they just want to stop hiding things from her, so its a war in their head for a while about this whole thing yk?
