After a while she builds a snowball and toss it at his back. Being cheeky, telling him he was provoking it. Just to get pinned down in the cold snow by him and get a soft punishment.

Top 5 plec-verse ships
Klaroline, although it always has and always will be in the most mercenary way possible lmao. Like, generally speaking I don't get ~soft feelings or strong bouts of emotion. It's just cold smug appreciation for what it brought to Caroline's storyline lmao (paired with relief when I think of the most likely what-ifs *shudders*).
Hizzie. Now, this one I'm soft for xDD
Qetsiyah/Silas. What a good lovers to enemies lol. She doomed him to spend the afterlife with her!! XDD

Dark or soft bonkai?
I DO like them both!! But I guess if I ~had~ to pick one, I'd lean towards dark bonkai 😅To me, darker Bonkai feels closer to their dynamic in canon TVD, so it's easier for me to imagine those kinds of interactions happening between them VS softer bonkai requires me to suspend my disbelief a tiny bit more, bc it's farther away from what we saw of their personalities together on the show.
I also feel like dark bonkai I've read in fanon tends to be more ~out there~ Like the authors feel freer to take more risks with the content that you wouldn't normally see as much on TV, most books, or other ships' fanfics and it feels very uniquely BONKAI, uk?? Take most of @thefudge's Bonkai fanfics, for example - where ELSE would you see Person A feed desiccated Person B MICE in a prison world* or see Person A and Person B literally orgasm while stabbing each other in a burning car**?? Nowhere!! Bc it's so ~specific~ to (dark) bonkai, uk? Even @foxdvlwild's Heathers AU of Bonkai*** was so THEM even tho it was based on the plot and characters of another movie (and that fic was a great mix of dark and soft bonkai)
I like soft Bonkai on its own too, but if it doesn't have at least a ~bit~ of that spicy Bonkai flavor to it, then I don't enjoy it as much bc it feels less unique to bonkai and more like a general fluffy scenario that could apply to any mildly similar ship. And, again, that's totally fine! Those fics are super fun to read too when I'm in the mood for seeing Bonnie and Kai be happy, light and fluffy, but my personal taste while reading tends to skew more towards either a mix of dark and soft Bonkai, or fully dark Bonkai 😁Thanks for your question!!

The human body is capable of surviving without air, food, water, shelter for short periods of time. However, there are other things vital that are often forgotten in these lists, in the case of Malachai Parker, there’s one in particular: Human Touch. Free of his Prison World, and touch starved no longer, he enjoys the embrace of the person who ended the dry spell: Bonnie Bennett.

It’s odd, the things that human beings can and can not live without.
Without air, you can live three minutes.
In harsh weather conditions, you can survive three hours.
A lack of water will take its toll after three days.
How long you can living without touch, however, that’s something that can not be quantified in a number of hours or days. It won’t kill you right away, no, nothing about it is immediate, but it slowly eats away at you from the inside out until you wish it would. It starts by missing the embraces of those who you loved, a mother, a father, a twin sister, the sort of grand gestures that flood you with a warm feeling of belonging that has existed long before there was written language to describe it, and it ends with you forgetting the way it feels to have hands that aren’t your own brushing against your skin, how warm another human can be by simply existing beside you. Once you’ve reached that stage, it’s hard to get used to the touch of another person again, the feeling now foreign on flesh that used to yearn for it above all else.
After a lifetime of being touch starved, Malachai Parker had finally believed himself to be past the point of no return, that was, until he met Bonnie Bennett in a grocery store in his own personal slice of hell. Even standing by Damon Salvatore had been too much, but when the witch stood mere inches from him, their faces nearly touching, he felt nothing but a sense of calm he hadn’t felt since he was a child in his mother’s arms. Her fingers on his chest didn’t threaten to burn through his rib cage, though they did have the added benefit of making his heart race in his chest. She didn’t trust him, and he didn’t trust her, but the thought of her touch was enough to make him wonder what more would feel like. Where bitter resentment and anger had carved away at the heart of the Gemini Coven, warmth bloomed for the first time in decades, and it was something that the heretic didn’t know what to do with it.
Their love story isn’t the kind that would end up in a fairytale that people who believed in the concept of soulmates would read their children, but it’s theirs, and that’s enough.
A man who was so unused to touch that he used to imagine it as a weapon used to wake up from nightmares alone, surrounded by nothing but the reminder that his nightmares didn’t end when he woke up. Now, he wakes up from his nightmares to find two arms wrapped around him, and Malachai Parker knows that he is home and not cast away like some unwanted thing. As he catches his breath and looks around the room to ground himself, he’s not in a childhood home filled with memories of rejection starting from the people who should have loved him unconditionally, he’s not trapped in some unforgiving prison world where the repeating days pass slower and slower as the years dragged by. Instead he’s inside the walls of Sheila Bennett’s former home, the only four walls that Bonnie Bennett had ever felt truly safe in. The walls are covered in wallpaper that’s aged horrendously, but the witch who is holding him isn’t ready to rid the home of the things that remind her of the woman she wishes to make proud, and he’s in no rush to leave her arms and complain about the décor. Gray eyes watches as the ceiling fan rotates above them, turn after turn, a subtle sound almost enough to lull himself back to sleep, but as the sun begins to wake up the world bit by bit and light threatens to flood through the curtains, he wants to savor these last few moments admiring the way she looks. Blanket pulled up close to her chin, head resting peacefully, he likes to think that Bonnie Bennett looks a little bit like an angel, not that he’d ever tell her that.
“You just going to stare?”
Her voice is dripping in sleep as she moves without opening her green eyes to look at him. Her head comes to rest on his shoulder, and her arms adjust to pull him closer.
“It’s kind of a problem actually. You see, I have eyes, and you’re laying right beside me. Kind of hard not to stare.”
His teasing is soft, a measure to keep her from waking up more than she already has. Her eyes still aren’t open, but if they were, he’d bet every single dollar he didn’t have that she would be rolling them.
“You’re annoying.”
“If I’m so annoying, then why are you spooning me?”
Now it’s just a game, teasing and picking at her until she either falls back asleep, he falls back asleep, or one of them comes out victorious.
“Because you love it.”
“I love you.”
Three words he thought he’d never say, least of all to a Bennett witch.
“I love you too, dork.”
Bonnie Bennett curls up closer, pressing a gentle kiss to his shoulder as she starts to give in to the idea of stealing a few more moments of sleep.
“Goodnight, Bon Bon.”
“Goodnight, Kai.”
He relents, allowing her to have the final word as he curls up next to her and closes his eyes, basking in the warmth of her touch.
Yes, the human body can live decades without the touch of another human being, but after feeling the way Bonnie Bennett’s arms felt around him, Kai Parker couldn't imagine living one day without it.

Kai swore to himself that he was going to be good. Not for himself. But for her...
Bonnie Bennett. The most powerful,kind-hearted, and beautiful witch he’s ever known. She was patient. Not with him but for the people she loved. Cautious. To protect herself and her family. Smart. She could solve anything you threw at her and more. She was everything Kai wasn’t.
This light feeling started as a scratch he just couldn’t itch. When he watched Bonnie and Damon for the first week, he knew he wanted her. He wanted to be someone better for her. And it annoyed him to his core. So he ignored that feeling. He’s supposed to be the all powerful Gemini leader one day,not a sappy weak nobody. But then the feeling just got stronger when he finally merged with Luke. All the emotions he felt were 10x stronger. That itch turned into a burn and the only way to soothe it was to be by Bonnie. But she didn’t want him. At least not at first.
Bonnie couldn’t stand even being in within a 5 foot distance of him. Their past memories too strong. Every word spoken to each other, every accidental touch, and those icy grey eyes. They could make their way into your soul and become one with it. Bonnie didn’t like that. Not at all. But after a while she got use to it. What felt like kais millionth apology she finally took a step towards forgiveness. They weren’t close to the end but it was a start.
Kai was overjoyed. Bonnie still skeptical. But they were in one room together. And watching television on the same couch sharing the same blue blanket. Bonnie got the blanket a month after she got out of the prison world. Maybe it was because it reminded her of kais eyes or maybe she just wanted it. She would never tell.
Kai was scooting closer to her every minute but she didn’t say one word. She just let it happen. So when Kai’s arm was wrapped around her she couldn’t complain. Just scowl. Kai smiled at that and continued to squeeze her arm for comfort. She was real and she was right next to him. This wasn’t one of his imaginations.
“Hey, bonbon?”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Bonster.”
“Still bad but a lil better”
“Gorgeous bb”
“Pushing it.” Kai laughed
“Thank you...”
“Did you just say- you know what nevermind. For what?”
“For giving me a chance...”
Bonnie couldn’t help but smile. She didn’t get a lot of chances in her lifetimes. So it was a good feeling knowing she gave one for another’s joy.
“Don’t mention it.”
“No really it means-“
“ I said don’t. Or I’ll be forced to light your ass on fire.”
“Hot. Literally.” Her smile reached her ears now and she let out a mighty laugh.
“You’re something else Parker.”
“So are you Bennett. So are you.”
With that they let the night end with their peaceful silence. Kais head on top of bonnies and hers on his shoulder. Their sides obsorbing each others heat. And their smiles spreading each others happiness. They knew this was going to be a good friendship. No matter the past. As they say the best relationships come from the worst tragedies. And theirs was.

Noir Bonkai Fanfiction
When a dear childhood friend ends up dead, a virtuous heiress, Bonnie Bennett, reluctantly turns to hardened private investigator, Kai Parker, despite his gray morality and shady reputation for doing things the "hard way".
Prologue:
She must have stealthily taken a step forward when he wasn't paying attention because suddenly he was noticing details about the small woman that weren't there before.
He could have swore her eyes were dark brown at first. They were actually green, with specs of hazel circling the iris. Her pupils expanded moving back and forth in observation of his own. She peered at him wide eyed, desperate. Hoping that he'd drop the brazen facade and come to her rescue.
His twin sister Jo use to annoyingly gaze at him that way, usually when he was purposefully putting on a front or got a kick out of being just plain mean. Yet she could see right thru his schtick. He adored and despised her for that, for manipulating whatever little soft side he had.
In that moment Kai felt he could protect Bonnie, a complete stranger.
If he could, he'd probably stupidly lay his lucky trench coat over a rain puddle just so she could walk over it unscathed and never get her precious feet wet. And that feeling did not come second nature to Kai Parker.

Despite what happened between kai and bonnie do you think kai misses bonnie after all this time?
100% yes, cuz nothing else makes sense, canonically
so, what really gets me about bonkai is that the writers accidentally set them up as unfortunate forever soulmates because they're connected by so many things, but especially by this one experience only the two of them had and which only the two of them understand. no one else besides bonnie and kai has done the prison world experience completely alone. they're also the two people who have abandoned each other in the prison world on purpose and, in both cases, it felt like a form of personal betrayal. bonnie might have conflicted feelings about damon and elena and the prison world, but they are far less intense than what she feels for kai in relation to this very private experience. like, they had to go and make bonnie an OOC heretic in order to ramp up the drama between her and damon and her and enzo, when this conflict had already developed organically with kai a season earlier.
so, the ugliness and despair the prison world brought out of bonnie is only really understood by kai, and vice versa. like, elena & damon think they can appeal to kai's good/naive side and often underestimate him, but only bonnie knows how to tackle him, warts and all. bonnie is aware that she has a certain pull over kai, while being totally in denial about it. kai is pretty explicit about the pull he feels towards her, but he also plays it off as a fun, flirtatious dynamic when, in fact, it brings up a lot of raw emotions in him. they're both idiots about it, basically.
on top of all that, they're both witches hailing from powerful covens and have been deeply misunderstood by said covens/families. they're both prodigies in their own way and they've both operated with magic on their own, sometimes unorthodox, terms. the similarities only multiply from here.
so, given all that, i'd say kai will always miss bonnie, because she's not only "the one that got away" but literally the only person who could actually put up with him and see him for who he is. she's the only person he'd let himself feel things for. it's made clear that kai's other flings are always pragmatic/based on what he can get out of it. bonnie's that one equal with whom he'd be comfortable being vulnerable, mostly because bonnie has already made him vulnerable so many times. like sure, he also misses the cat-and-mouse games and their chemistry and banter, and i don't think he'd ever let himself be completely soft with her (bc i don't think she'd want that either), but a part of him definitely yearns to be understood. notice how many times he gets angry when people don't keep up or misinterpret his actions/intentions. bonnie is that special kind of enemy/partner that he can always rely on to get him. hell, it's canon that she can sense him through a cellphone.
the funny and bizarre tragedy of kai parker is that, for all his cons and tricks and calculated cold-bloodedness, he will forever be in earnest love with bonnie bennett, do-gooder and righteous witch who constantly decks him on sight. and he very much likes the fact that she decks him on sight. it's the funniest and most painful shit ever. i hate it here.

Bonkai made more sense than Bonenzo (I don't understand the fans that support a ship based out of thin air with no backstory). Kai is not any more "evil" than any of the other main males. In actuality they had him act out of character in 6x22. It overrides the whole merge with Luke thing (basically pointless that Luke ever died at all). Again Plec butchered her own story bc she needed a scapegoat (Bonnie) since Nina chose to leave the show. They also went to great lengths to make Bonnie act out of character too as if she hadn't been thru worse. I don't buy that she couldnt forgive Kai (who actually almost died trying to rescue her from suicide, but we never see how Bonnie felt about that either or any underlying feelings in general smh... I've read some good fanfics that fill in these plotholes). Yet she could forgive Damon for killing her mom then call him her best friend, & Stefan for killing Enzo then attend Steroline wedding like it's nothing?? The writers really are trash for that.
Completely agreed that the writers' decisions (aka Bonnie's decisions canonically) of who to forgive are ludicrous and arbitrary. The biggest contrasting example are the Originals, who apparently deserve redemption, against Kai, who somehow doesn't. The forgiveness we get from Bonnie in the later seasons is ridiculous, on par with Elena and Caroline and even Stefan forgiving the most heinous crimes for seemingly no reason. I believe in Damon and Bonnie's friendship, if only because nobody else gave a fuck about her, but it's insane that they never even discussed his role in Grams' death or turning Abby into a vampire. Didn't he promise Emily he would forever protect her line and then renege on that entirely until his friendship with Bonnie? Emily should have smited him from beyond the grave ages ago, and the Bonnie Bennett we know would never just forget about all that. (This is why we read fanfiction, kids! In this stupid fandom, they know the characters better than the creators.)
6x22 I find in-character only so far as it shows how vengeful Kai can be, 'sociopath' or not. I do 100% believe Kai felt so betrayed by Bonnie and everyone else that he did what he did. Kai is cruel, no doubt about it. My issue is with the whole sociopath characterization to begin with - no research into that term, no anything. Kai feels hurt and rage and betrayal to the point where he murders all his siblings, other than his sister whom he has a soft spot for, but he's a sociopath who apparently has no feelings? Like there is no consistency in this man's characterization from the beginning. They wanted an easy villain, and they would never let Bonnie redeem a villain (Enzo was barely a sad side character) the way Caroline and Elena helped to do. Doesn't matter, because I would argue Bonnie was key to the brief redemption Kai still had as well as Damon's ultimate and final redemption, but oh well!

To be fair. While I think Bonkai would have saved TVD and it would be so cool to see an epic romance. I am very biased mind you because it's my number one ship. However with the way they made Kai to be I think it would work badly. He is in his nature a very vile character and hasn't shown emotion about any other living person which is what separates them from other characters in the show that have done bad things. Even Klaus who had done awful things still had people he cared about. Kai on the other hand didn't and was often bad just for the sake of it. So idk along with the fact that he had hurt Bonnie I feel like it might have been an abusive relationship that I wouldn't want the one poc to be in. I just hope they had made him change for the better
I think Klaus in S2 was set up similar to how we saw Kai in S6. Once Julie and the CW saw how popular Klaus and Caroline's relationship was getting, they jump ships as to how they developed Klaus's character. Kai gained empathy and real emotional after his merge with Luke, and they always showed him to have a soft spot for Jo, similar to Klaus and Rebekah.
However, Plec dislikes Kat/Bonnie, so she painted Kai as the worse villain to step foot on TVD, even though we've seen Klaus be aggressive towards the people he cared about if they got in his way. That includes Caroline Forbes. Personally I think the writers only soften him up for the sake of Klaroline and the idea of an Originals spin-off. Kai could have been a fun villain turned anti-hero that wasn't abusive to Bonnie, because we know he had a crush on her.
Plec tried to make Kai irredeemable only because fans wanted him with Bonnie. I think there were grounds for a huge character growth with Kai and Bonkai could have stem from it. Sadly, we know if Bonnie was played by a white actress Bonkai would have been given a chance. Julie Plec claimed that Kol Mikaelson was too evil for Bonnie when Kennett was getting popular. Then a couple years later she pushed for Kol to marry the first white witch aka Davina with zero issues.

I’ve seen you post about the chemistry between Anne Boleyn & Henry VIII from HBO’s The Tudors before; did you watch the whole show? What did you think of it? I rewatch it every few years and think it sort of falls apart after Anne’s death, but then I feel I may be a bit biased because she is the reason why i got into that era of history to begin with. What do you think abt the show if you think anything at all lol
I agree that it wasn't the same after Anne was executed, it kind of lost its juice with some compelling storylines here and there, namely Culpeper and Katherine, but it didn't have the same kind of intrigue or drama as the first two seasons despite many dramatic things happening. If I do rewatch it I usually stop after season 2.
In terms of the show in general, I have a soft spot for it because I bought the disc set when I was in the UK and going through probably the loneliest period of my life so far and binging all four seasons of the series helped with that -- it also inspired a bonkai fanfiction series I wrote so it's a series I find entertaining, I think the actors committed, I think the chemistry was usually right, and I definitely didn't watch it for historical accuracy, haha.

Agreed with the anons, tvd has no replay value given Bonnie is my favorite character... I'm a multi Bonnie shipper so its hard picking a favorite romance. While I can't stand Damon, I could see the potential if done right.
Stefonnie is the most intriguing and unexplored...I always thought Stefan had a soft spot for Bonnie, its shown but barely touched in season 1 and ultimately ruined from there on out. I still don't believe Stefan would have agreed to kill Bonnie's mom just to save Elena, he's too sensible for that. Maybe Damon would bc he's reckless & a bit dumb. But I always felt that was way out of character even for Stefan. of course writers did anything to make Elena look like the golden goose.
While Kennett (Kol/Bonnie) was the itch I couldn't scratch. The whole being dead and stuck on the other side with him really mimicked that of Kai's story (Bonkai is what Kennett would have been). There's something complex about heroine and villain relationships, even the writers couldn't deny it, that's why they subtly wrote Kai to be so Bonnie centered (without her, his story wouldn't exist or be whole...cue why I will never give Legacies my time of day. They should have kept Chris W. on what was an already dieing show). They started that mess then Plec tells us we're not allowed to like what is being served on what looks like a silver frickin platter?!
Even Klaus pursing Bonnie over Caroline would have been a more logical choice though I don't care for either ship. Even his development was odd, it is not believable that Klaus, a century old vampire with lots of manpower is somehow head over heels for a newbie teenage vampire Caroline. They literally wrote him as a whiney man child so no surprise there.. basically a Damon 2.0. Yea I'll stick to reading the fan fics.
I 100% agree with everything you've written here about Klaroline and Kennett and even Bamon. About Stefonnie, I'll just say that the thing about Stefan in s3 is that he's supposed to be going through this emotional and mental trauma with being forced into becoming a ripper, serving Klaus, and abandoning the life he built in Mystic Falls, while the brother he tried to save is moving in on that life. So there's this kind of 'descent into darkness' arc that Stefan is going through where I think his actions make sense. I don't like them, but they don't surprise me. I liked that it's not brushed off the rug and there's a strain in their relationship that never completely goes away. But what bothers me is that Damon who actually killed Abby gets no real consequences for it. Stefan is the one who apologizes for almost doing it, and Damon just makes a joke and moves on.

Revenge or redemption?
👿🤠Bonkai imagine 🤠👿
Kai could’ve ran. But Kai was never a runner. He stole and he conquered everything that stood in his way. That’s why when the world magically forgot him, he took a chance at revenge not redemption.
Bonnie Bennett, a powerful witch of an even more powerful blood line, put his ass in a prison world not only once but two times. He could never forgive that or her.
So two days after he left malivore he used a tracking spell to find her. On that same day he started to watch her like a predator does to its prey. Bonnie liked to get tea at noon, go for a run at 3, and then go home to binge her favorite dramas. The very next day she repeated her actions . Her days were so boring, it made Kai even more determined. He’ll easily steal her power like she did to him and then shut her down for good. It’s not like she remembers his weak spots or what she really is up against.
It was a Saturday when Bonnie was taking her usual 3 pm run and a stranger joined her.
“You know it’s dangerous for a woman like yourself to jog alone.” Bonnie just rolled her eyes at the man
“It’s not dangerous when I really have all the power.”
“Is that so..?” Kai smirked ,even after all this time bon bon was as persistent as ever. No one could knock her down until now,he thought. Kai jogged a little closer to her. And her hand twitched as if it was ready to throw a spell. He could feel the magic radiate off her and he shivered wanting it to run through his own veins.
“Yea it is. What’s a man like yourself jogging in these parts? Any kind of women can jump you at any time.” Bonnie was smiling a powerful smile. She was trying to get under his skin and it kind of was working.
“It’s not as dangerous when I know where the real power lies.” Kai was now smiling as well. It was nice to talk to her again. In his first prison world they had their moments. Where they didn’t fight, they actually were content and watching tv or having conversations. It happens to enemies when isolation conquers all.
“Oh really” Bonnies jog slowed down to a walk and she bumped her shoulder into his. Suprinsingly playful. Kai was shocked.
“Yea” Bonnie was quickly warming up to this guy and she didn’t know if she liked it. What normal guy starts a conversation with a low key threat?
A powerful one.
“You new to town?” She pushed a piece of hair out of her face and Kai swooned. He’d never admit it out loud but bonnies mocha skin glistening in the sun was the most beautiful thing he has ever saw.
“No ive been here a while.”
“I would’ve remembered a face like yours.”
“A face like what?” Kai was interested in what the girl had to say next.
“Handsome.” Bonnies cheeks didn’t even tint red. She was confident in herself and her words. She was truly a sight for sore eyes. And a lil ball of pure power.
“Oh” the male was taken back but quickly recovered with a small chuckle and a smirk.
“I could say the same thing about you.” She smiled at his words and bumped his shoulder once again.
“I think I like you...” she awaited his name
“Malachai, malachai parker but you can call me Kai.” Bonnie couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous name.
“Who names their kid that? No offense but that sounds like a villains name.” She laughed some more and Kai couldn’t help but join.
“You have no idea....” Kai was now the one awaiting a name,even if he already knew.
“Bonnie,Bonnie Bennett.”
“Bonnie... what a pretty name.”
“Thanks malachai.” Usually he’d cringe when someone called him that but Bonnie made it almost sound angelic.
“And to think I was gonna kill you today.” He whispered more to himself than her.
“what?” She questioned walking a little closer to hear better.
“I asked if you wanted to go for some coffee?” Kai hoped she didn’t hear him. Would be one hell of a first impression and a hell of a lot of work to explain.
“I prefer tea, it’s better for your soul.” She laughed a bit at how silly she sounded,but she stood by it 100 percent.
“Then tea it is bonster.”
“Never call me that again and you have a deal.”
“Deal for now,but can’t promise for later.”
“Then that settles it.” Just being in his presence made her feel more powerful and outgoing. She linked their arms together and began to guide them towards her favorite spot.
“This one is on you and the next time is on me. Got it?” Kai chuckled as he continued to be dragged by the small female.
“Got it boss lady.”
“Good.”
The rest of their day was quite eventful. Sometime and somehow after their tea date they found themselves in a park fountain splashing each other. Kai would say Bonnie dared him,but if you asked her she would say he tripped. They both had a great time and never experienced a bond like that in so little time. Kai knew it was because of their past,but Bonnie would never know. And a part of him was glad to finally be free of that tiny guilt in the back of his head. But their was now a bigger feeling growing that he didn’t quite understand yet. Maybe it was...
