I would just like to thank you because your post on the subject of proshipping was what allowed me to firmly take a stance against proshitters. My blog is non confrontational and I don’t want to argue with people so I unfortunately had to remove the tags and block replies on my post when people started replying to argue with me but still it was your post which gave me the confidence to make this post in the first place and for that I thank you.
Although I've been particularly avoidant to any sort of discourse lately, I am glad I could have helped you (or anyone in general) have confidence to express themselves and try to speak out on issues that constantly infect fandoms and make unsafe spaces for basically anyone. Sorry that your post got dogpiled by a bunch of chronically online people LOL! Trust me, those people got literally no argument that they werent CONVINCED into believing LMAO.
#ask#I've been less actively bitchy about it but my stance has stayed the same#adults into that should not be allowed in the internet and they are backhandedly gr**ming children into embracing that creepy shit#and then children (who i dont blame for being into that stuff its not usually their own fault) desensitize themselves and actively LOOK -#-for creepy pe/do//ince//sty ships to ship because children just have a natural desire to “fit in” -#-which some children find that in following a contrarian crowd#so when they see art they like and dont yet understand the issues with it and then see the artist getting flack for it they jump to-#prxshitty defense and then that just causes them to grow up embracing that shit bec they think it makes them cool or unique or something!!!#and then that causes a spread bec then obviously impressionable minors attract other impressionable minors T_T#trauma response I dont doubt is true to some degree and i pity those for that but 1. keep that shit private im sorry but venting doesnt-#-excuse romanticising that shit and basically CONVINCING other impressionable children that its fine when you must KNOW its not okay if you#-KNOW its based on trauma and thats all you have to validate it#and 2. like thats unhealthy on its own right...... but like ok.....#((though i dont promote harrassing kids or telling them to hurt themselves like that doesnt rlly do much esp if theyre already traumatized)#I believe young people like that should try to strive to at least keep that stuff private esspecially if theyre an adult because idk how-#-adults DONT see the gr**my aspect behind it (bec from what ik most adults dont care about being surrounded by minors T_T)

Your opinion: fanon crowley not liking/hating his own eyes. (and by extention hating himself...?) i personally dont really like this headcanon and dont think that he hates himself or views himself as worthless at all ETC but i want to know what you think
Strokes my beard sagely. This is one of those things that like. I guess I get why people want to hc this but there's really just nothing in the text to support it. In the show we see Crowley without sunglasses all the time, when he's alone or when he's alone with Aziraphale, and the clear purpose of the glasses is like, literally just to hide his eyes from humans. That's it. Idk I think a lot of people project a lot of what I've taken to calling "angel dysphoria" onto Crowley, where he's constantly tormented by his eyes and his scales and his Fall and his general demon-ness, yknow, angsty art pieces where haggard alcoholic demon-Crowley longs to look like the Sweet And Wholesome angel-Crowley he sees in the bathroom mirror ("transgender short film" style), buuut I don't really think that tracks! He hasn't done a very good job at being a demon but he's not nearly as tortured by his status as people make him out to be. I don't think Crowley hates his eyes because I don't think Crowley hates being a demon because I don't think Crowley hates himself. He might be bitter about how he's treated but I don't think it runs deep enough in him to hate a physical trait about himself like that. Again, I understand WHY people might like writing this, I'm transgender and I have gender dysphoria and fictional depictions of it can help process that, BUT I guess I just think Crowley has a lot of transgender allegory traits in the text you could dive into, and "eye hatred" is not one of them. Idk I guess Crowley and his neurosis is kind of a hard character to pin down correctly and I'm not gonna fault anyone for trying to make it a little easier, but I do like picking him apart like this. Oh also you can have low self-esteem in ways that do not relate to your physical appearance and I think both Crowley and Aziraphale are textually really good examples of this, and yet "Crowley has low self-esteem" is primarily represented as like, "snake-eye hatred angel dysphoria" and "Aziraphale has low self-esteem" is primarily represented as like, "body image issues because that is the only kind of conflict chubby people are allowed to have, apparently". Sorry if I sound bitter LMAO I'm trying to be lighthearted here, I'm just. aheh. someone with low self-esteem that is unrelated to how I look and I like representing that in writing. So it'd be cool if people saw the ways in which that ginger slut and I share so much because I am the most important girl in the world

okay well now im curious what was it about 👀
ok im gonna present this outside of the context of the fandom that was mentioned so you can see how dumb it was. someone pointed out that people seem very interested in modern media that is loosely inspired by 1920s jazz but don't engage in actual jazz art and culture and they worded it in a way that implied that they thought it was because of racism
which like. i understand where they're coming from. but first off i dont think this is a racism issue, i think it has more to do with the fact that the average person just doesn't really talk about any media from the 1920s and 30s bc it's from roughly 100 years ago. and secondly since when did fandom have a research requirement? yeah man sorry i can't watch supernatural i haven't read the bible yet it would be problematic for me to watch it rn. or i can't play genshin impact i dont know anything about asian culture i gotta hit the books first. it's just kind of a ridiculous take that you have to engage in the inspiration behind a series to enjoy it. tbh. i have no idea why it blew up or why so many people are agreeing with it

I find it so funny that every time leaks come out, for the last few books now, there is always something good for elriel, and gwynriels without fail will say that Elriels are lying about Elriel being confirmed and are riling everyone up for nothing because these things don’t mean anything. It’s hilarious because first of all we never took these things as the official confirmation, but second of all, each time is like one of our theories coming true. We have shown time and time again that we understand and can predict SJM plots. Each time is confirming our beliefs in Elriel. It’s shocking that Gwynriels don’t even look at the evidence in the books, they just bury their head in the sand. I’m sure HOFAS won’t make them doubt their ship and they will continue denial. I’m sure they will spin it some how. It’s one thing to do that post-ACOSF when we had no new content. But this book gives us incredible lore about ACOTAR that it is easy to see where SJM is going with Elriel… in terms of bonds. They called Azriel desperate and going crazy when he questioned the Cauldron, and now we see that something evil was done to it. It’s just crazy to me that they probably will refuse again to go where SJM wants our minds to go with this. With any luck this will all be a fever dream in a few months! 🤞
I understand that Gwynriels are very very invested in their ship, but I wish that they'd understand that it's simply not real. I get that they convinced themselves that it's real and absolutely legitimate, but it really just...isnt. I dont know how to say it any other way. Gwynriel exists in their imagination, but it doesn't exist in SJMs.
It would be like me raging as to why Elain isn't ending up with Ruhn! Yeah, *I* personally love the ship, but like, I am rational enough to understand that the chances are kind of slim.
The issue, I think, is that they trust their mouthpieces in the fandom a little too much, and don't address the text critically. They think they'll just look at nifty Power Point Presentations, commissioned art and a few TikToks and that's enough.
I already saw an Elucien arguing about the Cauldron and how it's corruption, which was first mentioned back in ACOMAF!!! (dont even need HOFAS) is 'gone' and it's all good and mate bonds don't come from the Cauldron. Where, again, in ACOWAR, Rhys canonically offers 3 options for where the bonds come from--the Cauldron, the Mother and the Cauldron's Swirling Eddies/The Powers that Be.
And yet, no one contradicted this person or questioned her. Like they just pulled something out of thin air, presented it as 'fact' and that's it. No critical thinking at all.
But whatever. One good thing is that it seems that the shipwars are dying. It's been a long time and it seems that people are no longer blinded by PP presentations. I think they know that Elriel is coming.

Love youre ST art, but if you dont mind me asking, why Billy? Theres just so much about his character I cant get passed enough to like him outside of peoples art.
I appreciate the cordial ask Anon, as most who do not like Billy would not do so: I love Billy for many reasons! Sorry, this is gonna be a fairly long response because I want to encapsulate not only my own points of enjoyment, but ones that a majority of the Billy side of fandom have as well.
First reason being: Billy is WONDERFULLY acted out by his actor. Dacre Montgomery did what is probably one of the top handful of performances on the show (probably rivalling the way I feel about Mason Dye's [Jason Carver] performance.) and that alone gives me some of the first reasons to love Billy as a character.
He's well done. He feels real, he gives depth and complications like real humans! That in part due to Dacre's representation of him. Dacre himself has put a lot of his own experiences into Billy's character, both in just the small things we notice and some of the larger aspects like having dealt with abuse in the home regarding his father as well as neurodivergencies and weight.
I'm a sucker for a well made character!
Second reason!: He's a bombshell, and not in just a 'hot' way. His character draws attention, he wants to be seen and noticed and heard! He's not great at going about it in a way that doesn't cause himself problems because...well he's still a child!
He's bound to mess up, especially in a time that does not see children as vulnerable members of a community, in a new culture (midwest) that he is unfamiliar with and unaccustomed to their social norms as well as being under the rules and obligations of a man who not only keeps him vulnerable but actively undermines him both mentally, physically and emotionally.
I empathize with and for him. I myself have never been abused by a parent, but I know what abuse feels like and it doesn't feel good. I have experience with sibling and spousal abuse, but even then it's not the same as being abused by your support structure, the person(s) who are supposed to be there to love and nurture you.
He has lost one of his major support structures in his life and is damaged for it.
But back to the bombshell title: He fits some of my favorite character tropes, Femme fatale & Antihero.
He's MADE to be destructive, he's an abused bull placed into a china shop by his own father and if that isn't sad, I don't know what it. No matter what he does, he cannot help but break something! His narrative was constructed by the show to always put him in a position of destruction and it's such a sad existence.
My third reason: He's an AMAZING foil to Steve as a character. He's everything Steve both wants and hates. He's 'carefree' and interruptive, he's hot and nasty, he's strong but has a hairtrigger-
He challenges Steve as a character to both think and do better in ways he doesn't realize yet.
These are all just basic reasons why I love him as a character. The fandom as a whole could lead you down a bigger path as to why, but there's a lot to love in Billy.
I can completely understand why someone might not like him, he is brash, rude, destructive, mean- and it can be hard to work around those issues when those things are actually damaging in real life.
But I see him as an opportunity to delve deeper into the "why". Why is Billy brash? Why is Billy rude? Why is he destructive and mean? That's the meat and potatoes.
In the end, I love Billy because he's a character who turned out the way he did, because he lacked the appropriate amount of love in his life, and we can see that by his actions and memories before his death.
He craved touch. He craved closeness and friends. He missed his mother, he feared his father. He had EMOTIONS that deserve to be expressed and heard.
He's what so many people can become, because no one takes the time to just give a shit. That's why I love him. Because I think he, in the real world, would have benefited from that. Just to be seen and heard and understood, even if no one could fix his situation, at least he would have the ability to have a safe place to confide in long enough to get himself out of his situation.

rambling more abt nightcord and their theme because i just NEED to get it out if my system
i think nightcord is such beautifully constructed with its theme of healing because every character has someone specific helping them out most within the unit
idk how to explain it in general terms but basically
kanade struggles with overworking and not taking proper care of herself, her main help with this comes from mizuki! sure, others help out too but mizuki is the one who points out those self destructive behaviours the most [or at least from ehat i remeber] and this dynamic is so so beautifully shown specifically in carnation recollection
mizuki is the one telling kanade to take a break, but kanade is set on making another song for mafuyu despite being absolutely stuck. i think mizuki is the most clever out of the 4 specifically because of this event, since they knew kanade wont give up on it ever and decided to use a different approach to give her the deserved break and would also help her out in this situation. kanade would never have some time off if it wasnt for mizuki. thats how mizuki cares for her, by "tricking" her into taking one while also getting to spend nice time together and end up reminiscing.
this is such an important story because thanks to mizuki, a part of kanade got to heal.
mafuyu very obviously is mostly helped by kanade, who tries her very best and gives it literally her all to help mafuyu find herself, but she always gives mafuyu space when she needs it as well. i think since this one is most obvious i dont have to dwell on it too much but the love and care kanade has for mafuyu makes me soooo fucking insane like omg. kanade is the whole reason mafuyu even tries. shes the sole reason why mafuyu could get where she is now and didnt give up.
ena is a bit tricky, but surprisingly i think her helper is... mafuyu. i have honestly no clue how to explain what i mean at all, but seeing someone with so much talent and the "perfect" life be completely empty was so important to enas character. mafuyu makes painfully slow progress on her situation yet ena notices it, and she might not fully realize it but its helping ena take things easier with her art as well, which i think is shown very well in hope will someday go beyond the morning. mafuyu makes just a slightly different expression but ena still notices it, paralleled by enas art teacher noticing enas intent and emotion behind her art project. despite so many mistakes in the work on a technical level, it had soul. not to mention mafuyu indirectly helps ena be more understanding of others, which is very obvious when you compare how she was with mafuyu at first vs their current dynamic. mafuyu doesnt even know it but she inspires ena so so much not only in her art but to be better as a person.
and for mizuki, its also very obvious with main help coming from ena. pretty much every mizuki focus [<- exaggeration warning] will have ena trying her best to help mizuki out, and thanks to enas growth she can understand mizuki better and better and know how to deal with their issue. she thinks she needs to know the secret to know mizuki, but she learns that its not actually important, and she wants to show mizuki that as well. she constantly shows mizuki support and care weather they are willing to tell their secret or not, and in her own way wants to reassure mizuki that no matter what she wants to be there for them. ena helps mizuki so much that they even finally consider telling ena their secret, after like a year in canon if not longer!! which is such a huge deal because mizuki was convinced that telling ena someday they will tell what it is was completely a lie. they never had any intention to actually say what it is. but they grew so much and feel so safe around ena that the fact they even CONSIDERED IT implies so much healing, growth and trust. it makes me SOB. i am INSANE about mizuena. ena loves them SO MUCH its just so JSHSHDHYSHEIRUDHXHJSNB
okay im gonna stop here cause the tired is getting to me and i feel like i cant explain myself at all now but you get the point n25 care about eachother so much it makes me cry and punch walls and scream and drop to my knees on the floor in a dramatic way and explode and-

Heard about a comic where Hunter tells her kid what to do when they have a seizure. It sounds cool, currently trying to find it.
Theres another ask in my inbox after this stating that youve found it. Always use my tags in my blog :) (though i havent had the comic uploaded in the other sites yet)
If you want to, i can longingly ramble about my thought process on making that comic. I know its short, simple, sweet and lighthearted, but for many things ive created for rain world, there is a meaning and story (as everything ive built around the fandom has always been self indulgence and vent art)
When i made that comic, i was sleepy as hell, promised myself to go to bed so i can work on my mass attack (surprise, i still havent done that today due to all-day school, tiredness and a 6 hour video slandering toy story 4 distracting me LOL), but ive randomly thought of the comic after making some cute sleepy doodles (that of which i wont reveal because many of these doodles are for self indulgent purposes(i promise you its all sfw for those skeptical because i just dont not want to flood my blog with similar drawings of hunter and artihunter kisses lol- im doing that all for myself at least!))
A simple doodle of hunter being a parent laying on the couch (because i was sleepy and wanted to project that comforting cushiony feeling onto this to encourage myself to sleep) but then it suddenly sparked to me that ive always wanted to explore a bit more on hunter's role as a parent now that its been long established that they are arti's spouse and chose this lifestyle.
To talk about a bit of my own personal experiences, I'm familiar with living around relatives who require medical attention and support, so I kind of wanted to put that feeling to arti's kids facing the reality that their new parent has some things that pushes them back at times health-wise. My dad is diabetic (and old- hes like in his midish 60s while im 21) and hes been having his struggles. He could not do some basic things like putting his socks on and putting on his shoes without the help from someone and generally has difficulty crouching and standing up. He has to take his meds often. It is hard to see him grow depressed and grumpier over the years, but being apart from him for college makes him realize that he misses and loves me.
My grandmother is old and i think she has alzheimers (my mom is not clear on this to me since i dont generally talk about these types of serious concerning subjects to her about her own mother). Sometimes she falls without almost no warning and has to be around someone to care for her in case that happens, and yet I recognize that despite these things, she is quite sassy and pretty insistent on doing some things herself (despite my mother recognizing the risks and yelling to her about them out of care).
My own mother, while our relationship is not perfect and while i recognize that most of her parenting stuff to me have negatively affected me for the long run, i understand that she is not a flawless human being and most of what she does to me and to my dad and grandma and to anyone shes close with- she does that out of care. She nags at my dad for shutting down business opportunities because of his anger issues. Nags to my grandma who does ignorant actions. Nags to me for- well- i have to admit that I can be lazy. But i can understand all the stress that shes going through- that she has to actively take care of so many people in her life (and i have not even mentioned my brother, who is a whole can of worms that of which im not going to detail, is included) and i sort of wanted to project some part of that stressful experience onto arti and her dynamic with the other characters.
There is some form of resolution to my mother's case though- is that she has a lot of friends who help and support her. Who light her life even when shes busy all the time and goes scampering back and forth. It eases one to know that my arti does have friends, and gourmand has been most supportive of him aside from his own wifeusband. (Which leads to that panel where gourmand is shown also helping hunter and that hunter themselves encourage their child to also ask help from others and not just from their other parent(though i am probably reading a bit too much on this projection since its also just common sense to ask any grown up for help in general haha))
But back on hunter themselves and the relations they have built on their children- you guys know I love Bluey, but not only does the show introduce to me so many lighthearted concepts and coping mechanisms, but it also portrays the relations between parent and child in a way that i find quite realistic and mature. And these kinds of portrayals teach me how to write this dynamic. Hunter is like a Bandit, but I would like to work around the fact that this is Hunter's first time as a full-on parent on a committed relationship, while also having to deal with their terminal illness.
I do not think Hunter would be *the* perfect parent, but I think they would actively try to be a good one at least, and they would understand that their kids are smart and can learn how to fend for themselves from passing on what they know (ESPECIALLY considering the setting... This is still Rain World after all despite its more forgiving nature). Its something i would have wanted as a kid growing up actually- my parents actively teaching me to prepare my future circumstances instead of leaving me to figure out most things on my own or parade me with rewards and decadence expecting good outputs from me to pay it off.
But if there is one thing that they have taught me as a child that suggested that hint that I am smart if they give me the knowledge and reasoning of: are those days when they have to work, leaving only me and my brother at the house alone. They would tell me to never open the door to strangers and I would follow that no matter what.
I think, at some point, hunter and arti would teach their kids something like that. Its a slope see. Theres this short comic ive read long ago i dont remember the name of but whose plot i remember vividly: parents in a level of a video game teaching their child how to jump progressively higher and farther until the child is able to jump high and far enough to reach the other side of a giant pit thats situated so closely to their home. Thats the type of thing id like to portray. Small steps to progressively larger ones. Being taught growing up.
Many of these thoughts seem random, and theres still so much to go on i could talk about, but it all boils down to my tism and connecting some of my personal experiences onto these characters, and experiences i wish I had growing up. I do not have disabilities (or at least i think so), but i have experiences around people with disabilities and I can understand how witnessing these kinds of events involving them can be a harrowing and worrisome experience, especially when its from someone you care about.
In all honesty, i was delighted to know that there exists a disability pride month when I logged onto tumblr one day and saw my first post talking about it. Yes! I did not know it existed before. And now i have and i am glad. Theres been lots of people educating me, outside of the fandom and over the years. I dont remember what and how i was before. My back memory trauma with someone in the past has fucked me over, but its better late than never yunno
Sorry for the long ramble and sorry for being quite dramatic. I hope my words are of some interest and in good faith to you.

Hello hello! I feel like you’re the right person to ask about this cause you could give me some motivation and good advice maybe? Anyway, I have two OC’s in bg3. The first one is a female and she’s the dark urge, then I have another one that i haven’t created yet but i’m planning for this one to be her love interest; so I wanna swap out one of the companions and redo them, into my male oc, so I can get kissing scenes between my two oc’s. Does that makes sense? I’m just like, idk, worried, that people will dislike me for it, for not pairing my durge with any companion or npc in the game :((( just love to create fictional original characters. Idk where i’m going with this, but do you think i should do it or should i do like most people, pair my durge with for example Astarion instead? Dont wanna get hate :(( thank you.
Hiii!! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ ) I must apologize if this does not help or comfort lol I can only give advice from my perspective :x sorry for the long answer!
You make perfect sense lol that’s literally what I do, with all four companions more often than not LOL!! And have been doing a bit less than a year ngl ^^ BG3 is a tool in my eyes, in many ways. I find it fun, writing and bringing life to an entire crew, shaping their lives and “being” myself. To be honest, there may be people putting assumptions on the “why” you’ve swapped a companion. They may assume it’s a deeper meaning when in reality, you’re just trying to have your characters in action. Don’t let that get to you! You know what they say about assumptions ;) lmao. Personally, the negative reactions I’ve received over the months are from “trolls” posting psychological attacks, as well as a few that have more personal issues with me/what I’m doing. (Tbh, I consider all hate mail and unwarranted malicious acts to another as internal problems the person needs to work on themselves, but can't/lack the ability to do so.....but that's online spaces for you. Sitting behind a screen is like liquid courage to MANY, MANY people) I’m here to tell you if it happens, you’re human, it might sting, but don’t let someone else’s personal issues cause you to toss it all away and just stop!! Unfortunately negativity runs rampant in online spaces, if it happens once, I'm sorry, it could happen again. Never let another have so much control over you, that you stop though!
If you love your charas and truly want to flesh them out, you might need to take a bit away from the negativity but don’t stop. You could create while taking a moment away! I’ve had interactions that made me create and not be bothered posting to the online world. Vibe out, don’t let them into your head…at least not for too long. That’s what negative people want, to try and cause you to stop! Like you said, you love creating, don’t let someone else’s dark cloud latch on to you!!! Never let someone else stop you from doing what you enjoy! If you get hate, or deal with something less than positive, protect your peace. Always. Block them asap!
Pairing your durge with a canon character truly, mostly, garners more interactions due to others understanding said canon chara already. (I've lurked before really diving into things, I noticed the way things were lol) Doing so initially can build a following faster. As you’re fleshing your characters out, others are learning about your characters along with you! For me, I knew people would see a gang of my own original characters and be confused to what’s happening. It reminds me of something I saw and it had a person confused with a piece of art that had a random character who was with the canon charas and they go “oh, it’s their tav” lol
I’m here to tell you once you start, no matter how it may seem, you aren’t alone. A ton of engagement or not. It might feel a bit lonely, but that’s when engaging with the community a bit comes in handy. ^^ The more you create, especially consistently, the more others are seeing it and connecting with both you AND your charas. It's a slower process, but don't let that discourage you ^^
Ofc!! ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ ) ♡ any time! Hope I've helped!!

I dont see people writing stories about fliqpy liking weighted blankets because its such an obscure and stupid thing to headcanon,
because if its important as you say then why arent people making fics and art and stuff about it?
Fuck you.
-
The nice thing about being able to do whatever he wanted, figuratively and literally, extended itself to transactional purposes. Nobody had the courage to stop him from making irresponsible purchases aside from his own host, lest they dig their grave ahead of time. They had the money, and he had the time, so it wasn't like it was going to waste.
His most recent purchase was not actually their first. Flippy had cheerfully presented him a weighted blanket he bought before, assuring him the extra pressure was cozy and nice. He had to experience it to believe it— it sounded restricting and uncomfortable, even wildly unnecessary given their regular blanket worked as intended. How nice it was, discovering Flippy was right! Yet equally surprising. He nearly felt betrayed he wasn’t introduced to it earlier, as if weighted blankets were some big secret Flippy withheld from him this whole time.
The issue did not derive from the fact Fliqpy liked it. The issue was he liked it too much, and one was simply not enough. He swiftly bought a second, expecting it to satiate this deep-rooted desire. It wasn’t until he got a third that Flippy kindly asked him to sleep on the couch, as he was the only one sleeping with these extra additions on his side of the bed, and was giving the mattress an uneven slant. He obliged.
He slept with three weighted blankets, stacked on top of each other as neatly as pages in a book. He took an odd amount of comfort in knowing he could push it all off by his own hand whenever he wanted, when such an amount of external pressure would normally make him panic. Fliqpy didn't know of the origin—not yet, anyway, but he did know he wanted more, and shook Flippy awake in the middle of the night to request he sleep on top of Fliqpy. The other bear groggily (and a little confusedly) accepted, much to Fliqpy's delight. The situation was becoming more of an experiment to find out when he'd cross the line between comfortable-and-uncomfortable rather than napping purposes, but he was okay with that.
Before they settled down in their silly log house, in their comfy bed, where Fliqpy had the luxury of sleeping with multiple weighted blankets atop him and the time to waste with it, the blankets given to them at camps and fronts were, at best, uncomfortable. They captured the stark difference between being heavy and awkward to put around yourself, or the thickness that could rival a napkin; there was no middleground. It wasn't the coziest, but it got the job done. That was all he knew for a while, and it came as a shock when discovering they could have blankets for comfort, and not just efficiency. But laying under the extra weight like this when it was achingly similar to the blankets back in the military was making him wonder if he genuinely liked it, or if it was out of nostalgia.
He wanted to try sleeping on the floor with the blankets, to really capture the uncomfortable-cot feeling and heavy blanket combination to test his theory. Flippy shut that down fast, telling him he wanted him to sleep restfully while they had the privilege of doing so.
Fliqpy couldn’t argue with that.
Though, nostalgia for a time he hadn’t even liked in hindsight sounded, and was, ridiculous. Perhaps the simplicity of his understanding back then was what drove this feeling— but even he knew that was a lie. The thought both relaxed him further into the cushions and made him want to impulsively rip it all off. He hated when his mind was torn between two things; it'd be simpler if he had one feeling and stuck to it. That was too convenient for him.
"I didn't ask to like it this much. I don’t even know why." he flopped down on the couch, frustrated, and gave his host a mild glare to go with it. "You make it sound like I'm doing it deliberately."
Flippy popped a melatonin: he did everynight, it was routine. He slept better than Fliqpy; he didn't stir at every sound like he did and he was satisfied as long as he had something cozy to press up to. He met Fliqpy's eyes with an exasperated look, but it was nothing malicious. "You wanted three of them."
He bought a fourth the next night, and tucked it over both of them. Four weighted blankets and Flippy on top of him. Like laying under rubble, and he reminded himself he could undo all of it anytime he wanted to avoid creeping panic. He could feel Flippy's lazy purring on him even through all the thick fabric, and he listened keenly to every creak and settle in the house. He wasn't laying on the floor, but it was reminiscent of how he used to sleep in the military anyway, and Fliqpy found himself hating it. A profound sense of disappointment washed over him when the fourth addition had not kept him yearning for more: it subdued it. It angered him when he didn’t like it, and then he was angry over his anger of not liking it. He felt empty knowing he was satisfied with this amount, that anymore would cross the line of comfortable like he wanted initially.
Had he liked the chase more than the end result? It wouldn't be the first time it happened to him, but it sounded stupid to compare that to his weighted blanket dilemma. He slept with the regular blanket that night. The weight was gone—though he was tempted to ask Flippy to lay on him again because the feeling was nice—and that earlier dread was replaced with fulfillment. It was airier and easy to snooze in; he just couldn't shake his changing sleeping habits.
It was cut short when he tried to buy a coverlet, with Flippy’s quiet intervention. "I'll knit you something cozy," he'd said with a sigh, "so you don't have to switch between blankets all the time, okay?"
anon you have watered my fucking crops and healed me

Frosty Ruins "The Blackening"
At what point does the obsession with identity politics and 'representation but only for specific groups' thing become another era of exploitation films? Are we there already? It's one thing to prioritize movies with black people in them…it's one thing to create a movie for black audiences…but where it gets into blacksploitation territory is when the only thing you are trying to achieve is to make a black movie for blacks and your barometer for a job accomplished is that the people are black. When you call your movie the blackening it already communicates that this is going to be yet another movie that thinks being black is a genre of movie and a personality trait. I'm starting to wonder if they make movies like this bad on purpose because they have some kind of tax scam going…like they write off the losses…they generate buzz from how bad it is and can blame all of this on "racism". Dump a bunch of dirty money into the film...the film bombs so the studio claims the losses. And with AI they don't even need to put that much work into writing these awful movies. Ai shits out a script put a bunch of desperate nobodies you dont have to pay much in it...it makes way too much sense.
My other issue with the film beyond this is it's a horror parody movie…they are like 25 years too late to that party. We've moved beyond parody the writers and creators of today are not capable of understanding the concepts they aim to criticize enough to create parody. We also don't have a shared cultural experience anymore enough to be able to parody anything. It was different back when we all watched the same shows/movies and they were memorable and worth seeing. What's to parody now? Everything sucks…everything is its own parody. It's so rare that the people I know have watched the same things as me anymore. Meaning the references and parody will be lost on me…or it will be horribly outdated and stale. This is an ill advised movie right from the start. Imagine scary movie but horribly racist and not anywhere near as good and you see how low the bar is. And of course its going to be stale the central premise is horror movies where the black person dies first…the tagline is we can't all die first…so it's addressing a trope that's been done to death. The old stale references and tropes are also more ammo in my argument that its ai driven...rather than drawing from current experiences of the world...which a text generator doesn't have it instead pulls from all the stuff that exists already. You get a black reimagining of scary movie with references to blade and jumanji.
Whether I'm right or not it's yet another movie that has me questioning if any human beings actually made it. Which means either I'm right or it's gotten so bad that writers don't pass the turing test anymore. The dialogue is awful, the jokes are barely jokes…it really does sound like somebody put "scary movie but for blacks, and combine it with jumanji" into some chatgpt thing and this is what it turned out. Lines don't seem to follow from the line before it. Like the guy will say "You're asking too much." and she replies "I'll touch your penis later" it lacks the flow or rythm of human speech and lacks the cadence, timing or delivery of a joke. Plot blends with sentence the same way backgrounds blur together in ai produced art. It has the basic shape, you recognize it…but its off. You see what they were going for…but the shape of it is hazy.
It has hilarious jokes like "this looks like blades house…I want to talk to Wesley" get it thats a movie with a black person as the lead…it's a reference…but black.
It's also amazing how things that would normally be seen as horribly racist against black people are allowed because of the context. When the office has blackface in it as a joke…where the entire point of the joke is that it is offensive…its not allowed and must be censored and apologized for. However in a self appointed woke movie they can have slurs and blackface in a board game called the blackening. And of course if they have license to make fun of themselves…sort of…then of course they also have license to be horribly racist to the only group it's acceptable for every other race to be racist to. Every joke that wasn't about white people or race was some other obvious low hanging fruit joke.
Now I looked up the reviews for this movie because I saw a lot of people claiming to like it and could not believe itand I call shenanigans. I think the reason this movie isn't getting ratioed like it should is for two reasons…#1 fake bot reviews inflating the numbers…anytime you see a lot of 1 star and a lot of 5 star reviews and not much in between it reeks of bots. The one star reviews were all clearly people explaining why the movie sucked…while the 5 star reviews were all generic…many were in spanish for some reason…they had weird grammatical errors and lots of 5 star reviews that say things like "I will want to watch movie." And the other thing saving it from being rated like it deserves is a little bit of the black panther effect where people who didn't see it sing its praises because its a black movie…and people see it as a kind of anti-white activism to defend the movie. I see a lot of comments defending it but most of them are accusing everyone who didn't like it of being white and racist. They may as well have called this one racebait the movie.
Ultimately I would say its "bottoms" for black people instead of for gays. Unfunny pointless movie that exists only for identity politics reasons. It's not as bad as bottoms which I still maintain is far and away the worst movie ever made. The movies and genres it pulls from appeal to the lowest common denominator so I can see some stupid people with gutter palates still enjoying it. It's an hour and a half of black people standing around going look at us we are black. Avoid at all costs.
Not sure what number or star rating to give it…I know
Tax scam/10 money laundering scheme/100 woke/woke
happy last day of black history month everyone.

Do you have any Alois headcanons
HI HI THANKS FOR THE ASK! I have a number of them!! I'll try to categorize them best I can! (Design, Relationships, Backstory, Extra)
DESIGN <3
AS YOU CAN KINDA SEE FROM MY ART...I like to draw him with slightly longer, wavier, curlier hair. This isn't just to differentiate how he looks next to Ciel, but it kinda emphasizes his more 'high-energy' nature
I really do think my favorite part of his anime-design are his eyelashes, so I try to preserve those!
ALSO I DONT KNOW IF THIS COUNTS AS A HEADCANON BUT!! He's got such an interesting color scheme if you look at it from an analytical point of view. here, see-
Tumblr media
You can see, his outfit (specifically his tie/vest) are green when he was a kid, as in before the 'incident' took place.
Tumblr media
Around the time that he is a new earl/chronologically speaking the former Earl Trancy is still alive, he wears red. Red is a direct contrasting color to green. Red is also the color of that god forsaken kimono (but also, additionally, this outfit here)
Tumblr media
His clothes in the current/majority of the story are this sort of reddish-purple, with a green vest. This, in a way, shows that he has reclaimed some of his original self, but he's still wearing something reddish -- the past is not gone. It should also be noted that, while black, Claude has a reddish undertone, and Hannah has a blue scheme. Hannah wants to save Alois, and Claude wants to drive him to ruin. They clash, and he wears a purple coat.
Tumblr media
And, at long last, when he finally accepts Hannah's love for him, he is in Ciel's body. And what is Ciel? Blue!
THAT WAS LONG BUT I'VE BEEN SITTING ON THAT RANT FOR A WHILE! I might repost it, is just find it so damn interesting!
Onto the other stuff!
RELATIONSHIPS <3
Part of the reason he hates Hannah so much is this innate '6th sense' he's been shown to have (he's actually quite good at reading people!). He can tell she's deceiving him in...some way. So he doesn't trust her one bit!
Another reason is because, genuinely, he feels like she's trying to distract Claude away from him. While I don't ship them, I think the story has much more depth when he's portrayed/interpreted as having a one-sided crush on Claude. Erasing that, or at least erasing the codependency of that relationship (whatever form it might take), is to the story's detriment. Even if you don't think Alois wants to kiss Claude, it's undeniable that he has an unhealthy bond with that spider demon.
Also, part of the reason I even ship cielois is because they have such a unique and interesting dynamic of 'I'm/you're the only other person who understands, yet we are so incapable of showing it.' I think if there was ever anyone who could get on Ciel's level, it would be Alois.
BACKSTORY :(
it's kinda shown in my fic moth wings, but I believe Alois was probably ostracized a bit by the other boys in his situation
I always saw 'Alois' as a concept he grappled with for a number of years. First Alois was like a persona he 'went into,' but later on, he just became more and more of his expression of himself. And, later, an expression of revenge and anger at the rest of the world
He definitely has some memories issues/a bad memory. I wouldn't be surprised if he only really recognized Luka in dreams, or went weeks without thinking about his face.
Also! Since he had to look after Luka, he is/was surprisingly good at taking care of himself.
Someone brought up the headcanon that Luka and him were Irish, and that was part of the reason the village hated them. While I think that's super interesting, I don't know enough about that history to fully adopt it!
EXTRA!!
He absolutely hates other rich people. I think he knows he's going to die soon, so he wants to basically...fuck with as many people as he can. he had little to no qualms destroying that entire ballroom/the nobles trapped inside because...they're just nobles! eat the rich!
He was also...so eager to put on that dress HGJAJ Gender Non-Conforming AF and I love that for him. if he was in a modern setting, I honestly think he'd be perfectly happy with any/all pronouns.
He's also a lot more animated than Ciel. Even during a quiet scene, he's most-likely tapping his heel or fidgeting with something

Is there like a specific bit of AGS you want criticism on?
i think this (being confronted directly)+ time away made me have to really think about this and what i would even want from criticism. i feel like i know a lot of my comic's shortcomings: the art starts very bad and while it improved, it still has many problems with staying on model and basic structural issues. its difficult to follow yet still formulaic on a page by page basis. speech bubbles can be messy and unintuitive. its very much the creation of a single unskilled psycho so having it critiqued under that lens and understanding compared to how you would critique professionally edited or team created work would at least make me feel more tethered to reality. do people see what i see?
but if i know all this then its not really helpful to ask for someone to just tell me what i want to hear. like, what do i really want??? when i finished this chapter i just felt so tired and ashamed, even though, frankly, i really enjoyed making it. imo i should be over the moon to be making whatever i want for an appreciative audience who kinda lets me do whatever.
unfortunately, i think its the dark hearted beast named "desire for recognition" which should be beaten to death every time it rears its ugly head. this beast will possess you to do evil things for the nebulous concept of "more". what the fuck do i need more for
i dont know anon. i want something i cant have i think and i should be doing brain training to get over it. but thank you very much for your offer :)

I agree, the idol does not deserve the shit it’s getting. Like wtf why are we sooo sensitive to art these days. Art is supposed to bring up intense feelings and address difficult subjects. That’s literally it’s purpose! Just watched ep 2 and it was amazing. I think it depicts female trauma in such a raw, brutal and beautiful way. Lily is so good. Rachel sennott is too. Rlly excited to see where it goes.
havent watched ep 2 yet but like i do get why a lot of ppl might not like it like there are plenty of fair criticism of it imo like i get why ppl think its pretentious (it is) and i get why ppl think its lowkey annoying and cringy and tryhard to jam in as much nudity as possible just for some sort of edgyness factor (it is) and i totally get that ppl are getting sick of sam levinson and his style (we all have a bit of euphoria fatigue at this point lol) so like ofc i think there are very fair reasons behind thinking its trash. like ofc it wont be everyones cup of tea. and yeah sam levinson gives off sleazy pretentious asshole vibes. hes a man. in the film industry. duh. ofc we wont like him as a person lol but he can still make interesting shows
i just think the moral outrage is bizarre. like i dont understand the controversy. i dont understand how its more controversial and offensive then most other shows on HBO. like really what is the big deal like whats the actual issue? i rly feel like ive missed something tbh bc i cant figure it out. maybe theres been some inside drama within the production? idc about that tho as long as theres no abuse going on bc i know what its like to work with a crew and be part of film productions and the dynamics (nowhere near this huge level tho lol on a waaay smaller scale ofc since i was just a film student in school making school productions) and there is always head butting and conflict and stress and some disagreements like thats natural like ive had screaming matches with dudes in my class during filming for stupid little differences in how to go about certain scenes and shots etc but thats nothing imo as long as it works out in the end and no one gets harmed. but as a viewer i just focus on the end product aka the show/movie in itself not the production side of it like that very rarely plays a role in how i form an opinion on a show or movie or my enjoyment of it
also i have a huge crush on rachel sennott and i had no idea she was in the cast so i was very pleasantly surprised when i saw her lol like even if the show turns out to suck ill still watch just to get me some rachel time sorry not sorry

Then you dont know much. 1) Moonborn had five seasons and one of the first books they ever made with crappy art and drawings. Will be much better for them to do a re-release. 2) Hell and Highwater is the lowest rated book on the entire app together with Elite Tag so why would they even invest more time and energy on something people hate? And 3) Chasing You is a fan favorite. This will do wonders for Romance Club when all of their old readers come back.
Dear anon,
I'll try to my best to answer this as politely as I can, given I may be misreading the tone of your ask.
I would like to start by saying, that so far I have yet to come across a negative take on HHW here on Tumblr (personally haven't played ET yet because there are still old stories I have to finish). To say players hate it is a stretch. The way I see it, it was overshadowed by the more popular and trending stories, i.e. DALS, Theodora, and HOT to name a few. Regardless of the lower rating, it still deserved to be told the way the author envisioned it to be, and so do the other stories YSI shortened because they weren't "popular" enough.
Next, Moonborn having a re-release to revamp the art style is a monumental task considering its length and the number of items in-game. A sequel with revamp art styles? More plausible. To address your comment for the crappy art, of course it was crappy! It was one of RC's earlier batch of stories. One could argue, SOS, SITF and co. had crappy art too, but they all differed in the quality of their substance. Yes, you could have amazing art and graphics, but if it's all aesthetic without an ounce of good storytelling, then is it even worth it? I'd rather have a good story with crappy designs than gorgeous art with poor quality, narratively speaking.
Lastly, just because Chasing You was a fan favourite, doesn't automatically mean one should recycle the characters to make an AU. Fan fictions are there for that. Rather than 'chasing after' their old readers, they could have easily made another detective mystery book to entice back the readers who were, foremost, fans of the detective mystery genre. There is no guarantee that a sequel can and will generate a huge spike in player activity, if the story itself is bland. On the other hand, if you're in it simply for the character/s... I wish you nothing but the best. Because it will take a lot of mental energy to ignore plot holes and the likes. I speak this from the experience of someone who played an awful story for the sake of that one LI who ultimately was semi-okay-ish character-wise.
Personally, I have no problem with CY 2 getting released. My issue rest with the fact that CY has run its course, as well as the other popular books YSI might consider for potential sequels. Would it be preferable if they fix certain endings for some books that felt like they have been rushed? Yes. Absolutely. Would it have been better for the new book to have a new cast of characters as opposed to a CY Victorian AU? For me, at least, 100% yes.
Hopefully, this makes my view on the matter understandable, and satisfies your question.

both of the shinonomes for the ask game. tbh stares at you
oh god im gonna expose myself
akito fucking shinonome
sexuality: he likes men. i think akito under the right circumstances could like a woman, but it wouldn’t happen often. in truth i think akito will often look at someone and think “yeah they’re hot” but not think much about it. when it comes to forming romantic relationships it takes him a while to actually. like. have a crush. sooo pansexual demiromantic with a male preference
gender: Guy. just some guy. probably cis. this is boring im sorry
ship: ok so akitoya i look at akitoya and i go “i mean it doesnt give me the brainworms but i completely understand”. they are boyfriends and they do make me happy but they dont set my brain on fire like shizuai and ruikasa.
brotp: the dynamic of tsukasa akito and mizuki is hilarious. same with akimafu they are so funny. i also really like platonic akian its special to me they have the same issues and were inspired together do you see the vision
notp: ehhhh ig romantic akian or akikoha isnt really my thing but like its fine i dont hate it
random headcanon: he owns a nintendo 3ds but isnt actually good at playing most of the games on there, just got it to play with toya, nene, and emu (the four of them formed a little gaming squad after the events of cgo). also he gets even more piercings as an adult.
general opinion: my least favorite pjsk character - (i am forcibly removed from the stage). hey, i dont hate this guy. i quite like his character arc (stray bad dog was a particular relatable event) and his voice actor does a phenomenal job portraying him. his event songs also slap ALWAYS. however akito has never been a character that really *clicked* for me. i recognize he is written well (as all pjsk characters are) but if i met him irl i would want to punt him.
ena shinonome
sexuality: girlkisser (asexual lesbian)
gender: woman but after getting to know mizuki she realized that she isnt 100% cis and sometimes uses they/them. demigirl leaning she/her but is still questioning herself
ship: mizuena means so much to me you guys
brotp: platonic enamafu is great and hilarious i love it and i hc all of nightcord to be in a qpr. i also like enas friendship with emu and hona its very cute.
notp: i dont rlly have one tbh except like enatoya ig????
random headcanon: has lots of bandages on her fingers from injuring herself while drawing, often has the urge to dye her hair but is too chicken to actually do it, needs glasses but hasnt said anything about it yet
general opinion: i loveeee ena. third favorite character. shes so insanely relatable and i love her snark. i love her voice and all her event comms are bangers. ena’s feelings and desires and wants are so complex but i do wish they explored he beyond her feelings on her art.
