1 - How many works do you have on ao3?

131 works so far ! 97 of them are for haikyuu!! and i cannot wait to celebrate my 100 hq fics hehe

2 - What's your total ao3 word count?

323,624 words :0 i didn't think it'd be that much, i tend to write short things, i'm excited to have written so many words !!!

3 - What fandoms do you write for?

i have posted for haikyuu, death note, bnha, yuri on ice, free, breath of fire iv, and fairy tale for some unknown reason XD but i have unposted / unfinished fanfic for a bunch of other things like hunter x hunter or fma

4 - What are your top five fics by kudos?

chat me up has always been my most popular fic and tbh ? yeah i see why XD it is one of the most fun and chatfics were popular at the time. after that come ...or not, blue like the sky, silent trust and saw my momma dad cheese

5 - Do you respond to comments?

yes !! fandom is a community first and foremost for me, and posting is also a way to interact. comments are immensely lovely to get and answer !!

6 - What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

ooh probably love me right ?? it's kinda the angstiest i've written... ever. but some nights is also. bad end. solely by virtue of being post apo and not very optimistic about it. i wanna rewrite it someday because i actually really liked that AU and it's not the best right now hmmm

7 - What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

honestly hasetsu tour guides (which is a series but shhh) is the happiest thing i've written ?? it's not the most fun in terms of plot but everyone is content with their life in a way i've not really written a lot

8 - Do you get hate on fics?

nope, not well known enough XD and i'm not complaining about it

9 - Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i do ! i have no clue if there's a specific kind i stick to though, most of it isn't even posted or even written past heavy planning. trans cyborg smut is on its way though @notsuchasecret :3

10 - Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

i have written or co-written a NUMBER of crossovers. most are not on ao3 yet (or... ever...) but i have posted death note x snow white and hxh x little red riding hood, so. however i do think that owari no seraph x the frog princess (the russian fairy tale) is the wildest one so far !

11 - Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not to my knowledge, but that'd be kinda funny tbh ? imagine coming across your own obscure niche things in the wild. i'd almost be more disappointed it's not a new fic for my teeny fandom corner lmao

12 - What's the longest you've spent working on one fic? And the shortest?

the shortest would probably be a couple hours, for guardian of his king (written in a fugue state at like 3am, after Syb shared the drawing that inspired it. two of us fell in a trance btw, this was a POTENT artwork). the longest... i don't dare calculate... but it is measured in years and i haven't even started writing yet <3

13 - Have you ever co-written a fic before?

if you count detailed planning and extensive oral storytelling, many !! my best friend and i are very prolific behind the scenes, to her dismay XD. i thiiiiiink she is the only co-writer i have had ? but i LOVE doing group fics and i'd love to do it with other people

14 - What's your all-time favorite ship? From all fandoms?

"you ask questions i have no answers to" is what i was gonna say and then my brain went "well apart from bokuaka which has to be out of the competition-" so i may have an answer actually hahaha

15 - What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

oooh my god that naruto fountain of youth AU is never gonna be written. i have so so so much planned and i sift through and add more from time to time, but like... i pick my battles a little more wisely than this behemoth

16 - What are your writing strengths?

i'm not sure ! i do think writing dialogue is easier for me than most other things, and i love doing fun formatting / narrative constraints

17 - What are your writing weaknesses?

i forget to put down half of the words on the paper so my sentences make no sense and it's horrible to edit <- loves editing. doesn't love when i reread myself and every five sentences i have to think "who tf wrote this and what the hell does it mean. how do you go from here to there ??? oh wait i forgot a sentence again"

18 - Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

english isn't my first language. i write dialogue in another language 99% of the time. i don't think this question really takes into account the amount of ESL writers who are basically always doing this

to stay closer to what the question was meant to ask though, i have written sentences, in the middle of english fics, in languages that me or most readers don't speak. it is usually either a LONG process of looking up grammar rules, vocabulary, existing sentences etc... or what i did once, "write with mistakes because the person is learning the language still"

it is good imo to have characters speak their native tongue, or to add your own HCs onto characters and make them speak in their new native tongue, but it can be done more or less respectfully and more or less clearly. how do you include a translation, if at all ? is it jarring in the flow of your fic ? what about inserting song lyrics in another language ? it's a case by case basis for me tbh, and as a reference i really love how yuri on ice did it during the anime

19 - First fandom you wrote for?

i don't recall what i first wrote for exactly but i first posted for death note in 2015 :0 a while back !!

20 - Favourite fic you've written?

i don't have one at the moment, my criteria isn't defined enough these days. maybe some will jump out more later as they did in the past but for now i can say i love most of my children equally lmao

idk if you still remember me um. i feel so silly writing this be its been such a long time since i last wrote you any asks and i feel so bad ugshshsg:( but its essay anon here :3 im so so sorry i havent been here in such a long time but my life has been crazy. recently but im alive and well now. ready to talk about the midnight series if youll still have me... ive actually been meaning to write this for some time but ive been so anxious about the fact that its been so long:( im literally writing this in a break between classes at my uni LMAO. but i couldnt wait i had to write now be im rereading the series and ill explode (/pos) if i dont

im reading everything again bc i missed some updates and i decided. might as well reread the whole thing! and oh boy i love your writing so much!!! and this series makes me so happy seriously, some life stuff has been tough for me recently but this is bringing me so much joy :3 i need to let you know this hehhe .

and ohhh midnight scar how i missed him..... hes everything to me seriously:( i can talk abt him for hours i love him so much!!! im at midnights past now so ill fully catch up soon but im fighting the urge to get up and jump around my room in happiness everytime scar and tubbo have a wholesome interaction . i love them so so much

1. How many words have you written this year?

i published 316,173 words this year, including the drabbles i only posted on tumblr. if i added wips... i dont even want to think about it.

2. How many works did you publish this year?

i wrote 62 tumblr drabbles and posted 31 works on ao3, amounting for a grand total of,, 93 works..... theres.. theres no way..... oh jesus christ

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

you know what i think it has to be hollow americana. i really wanted to write a fic that captured how i felt on roadtrips, and how empty a roadstop in a desert can feel. i wanted something that was haunting and melancholy and hung you up on all of the little details, and i think i pulled that off perfectly. its exactly what i wanted it to be

4. What work of yours has the most hits?

this year home intrusion got 4,033 hits, which i guess makes sense, since its batfam and also not a part of the jdau.

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

ummm all of the jdau, basically. it was such a niche idea and i really just wrote it because i was fucking obsessed with harvey and jason and tfz and its amassed more of a following than i expected it to

6. Favorite title you used

i like “son of dent” because its a direct reference to traditional jewish headstones and i think im soo clever for that, and i love “hollow americana” because it fits the energy of that fic so well. i think “like an oil-stained phoenix” is pretty good, if a little pretentious, but my favorite is definitely “the mystery of the old boathouse” because i really really wanted a title that references old mystery books i grew up reading and ties into the detective au theme, and it fits well!

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?

i dont think i ever used song lyrics for anything other than like. titles. i hope i didnt anyway. i know “sharp edges” in “lost days” is a linkin park song, and “temporal shenanigans” is part of the homestuck soundtrack. thats literally it tho

8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year?

i dont even have to look to know that it was bruharv.

harvey and 2f clearly, theyre like babygirls to me. but writing jason (grace and todd) is also very cool

nope. things were not written for me nor was i given an Ao3 Gift(TM). but eri drew some very nice pictures for me! they drew equius from ammfh and my ocs and i have them saved on my computer so i can come back and look at them all the time

its M/M because im gay and i think men are hot

27. What do you listen to while writing?

i listen to white noise if im really struggling to focus, otherwise ill loop a playlist or a single song. its switched around a ton over the year but right this second im looping an arcadian wild playlist i made that has other bands with similar sounds on it in addition to the entire arcadian wild discography

bro. im grabbing you by the shoulders right now. i wrote 300k words. i promise you i do not know the answer to that.

i know i like some of the headcanon stuff i put in starting over and hollow americana has a lot of good lines but i cant think beyond that even tho there are probably some real bangers because i wrote 300k words and i cant remember all of them

Most Hits & Most Kudos - these two have the same top two so i'm putting them together

#1 - :) - some fluffy figure skating rpf about xinyu liu's habit of princess carrying yuzuru hanyu. pretty sure its popularity is owed mostly to good timing since i wrote it just after olys but it is p cute

#2 - Are we still sisters? - arcane league of legends fic, ngl i just wrote this as proof of concept for male Vi, and as such it turned out a bit weird, but once again i think fandom popularity at the time contributed to it doing well

Most Comments - a new challenger appears! Two Trucks Having Sex - I wrote this for a group game about sentient cars, where we were challenged to explain how car sex works. trying to figure that out absolutely broke my brain, so instead i went for something much easier: figuring out how car bdsm works! probably the weirdest thing ive ever written, which is probably what led so many people to want to say something about it, but honestly, i had a great time writing it and brainstorming car kinks with a friend. the trucks are called brad and chad

Most Bookmarks - We're back to :) on the top spot, but number two for this is Supergirl: Year One, a joke fic i wrote to canonize the delightful tag Kara Danvers Doesn't Know Kara Danvers is Supergirl. it is honestly still funny and i'm glad other people appreciate it

Most Words - Seconds and Second Chances - once again with the group game fics! we were playing a batman-themed group game, and each day we were given a question/prompt to answer. after 10 days of this, we were told to write a fic featuring at least 3 of our answers. overachiever that i am, i decided to include all my answers, which resulted in 1800 words, over 500 words more than my second-longest fic. anyway it's about jason (because i was playing him in the game) and surprisingly decent if i do say so myself

Least Words - Empty Spaces - clocking in at 20 words, i dare say it'll probably stay my shortest fic forever. some post about reverse tropes was going around and i got to thinking about what "too many beds" would look like, and it sparked off some extremely short george weasley angst

Hello! I was the anon who asked you what alta blogs I should follow like a week(?) ago. You said to come back to show you my fic so I wanted to ask for some advice. I've never really written anything before, and I have no idea at what point I should start posting it (ive written ~4 chapters now). Does posting while youre still writing motivate you to keep the story going? Part of me is worried it will just stress me out, part of me wants to get it out there already so im not the only one who knows it exists! How long should it take to write a chapter? How frequently is it reasonable to post updates? I have no idea what im doing. Any pro tips?

So nice to officially meet you! There are so many more seasoned and advanced writers out there that might offer you better pro-tips, but I will help you where I can, so thank you for reaching out!!

WOW! You have 4 chapters written?! That’s amazing!

My biggest PRO-TIP is to please, please, please – HAVE FUN!!!! The point of writing fanfiction is to enjoy yourself. I truly believe writing for fun should be a no pressure, creative outlet for people to explore their mind and flex their wonderful imagination!

I’ll try to answer the questions you sent me.

Does posting while I am writing motivate me to keep going?

YES!!! I have actually never even contemplated writing the entire story and then posting it chapter by chapter… It does seem like a rather efficient way to do it though, lol. I do have my very first WIP that is 4 chapters along and I know I will never post it because I decided to go in a different direction and write something else… So if you think you might lose momentum by keeping it all for yourself then please, post it! (Just space out your updates)

How often should you update?

Correct answer? Whenever the fuck you want.

I personally like to post my updates every 2ish weeks (I think every WEEK is the shortest time I would go between updates) but sometimes they pop up sooner and sometimes they take WAY longer lol. This is why Tumblr is great because I can update people how the chapter is coming along and I don’t mind if people ask me when the next update will come (I love the attention and I NEED IT!)

How long does it take me to write a chapter?

Depends… I am an unusually fast writer. I have a system that I have created for myself that works, but I am a human being and I have a life outside of my fanfiction and sometimes things happen in it that takes time away from writing. Sometimes I just don’t FEEL like writing right now, or sometimes I am stuck at a spot and I need a fresh day or a new environment to get through it.

The important thing is to enjoy your life and not let yourself get stressed thinking that you should be writing, or you should be updating your story…. No. You SHOULD be enjoying your damn self. <3

Different chapter lengths will take different amount of time…. I do not know how to write a chapter under 8k…. I just can’t & most of my chapters hit from 10k-13k and it takes me 2 weeks to write, edit and post. But everyone is different and it might take you a month to write a 3k chapter and that is O K A Y!!!

However long it takes you to write a chapter is how long you should space your updates even if you have the heads start. So if it takes you a month to write a chapter (no matter how many words it is) then do your updates once a month. It just makes it easy.

OKAY.... Here is my MOST IMPORTANT PRO-TIP……

Please try not to play the comparison game! It is the most dangerous game you can play with your writing. So my BIGGEST advice is to not compare what you wrote to what anyone else has written. Kudos, comments, collections, all the crap is great but what is really important is that you are enjoying what you are writing and you are having fun. No everyone is going to read your story and that is OK!

If writing ever became stressful for me and I wanted to stop, I would. (Nervous laugh to the two people I came to in the middle of the night screaming I QUIT!!! & they talked me off the deleting ledge, THANK THEM THAT LIAB STILL EXISTS lol)

If writing ever becomes a thing in your life that stresses you out or makes you feel upset about yourself then TAKE A BREAK! OR QUIT! This is your life and you being happy is the number one thing.

It does help to have someone, ANYONE that you can talk to about your complaints or frustrations (it is just nice to have someone to talk to and vent about things – or bounce ideas off of…. Or beg for them to design your characters outfits because you just can’t dress yourself, much less the fictional characters)

Final TIP!:

The only other advice I have is if people comment on your writing, comment back! I am probably TOO engaged with my readers haha… but it is one of my FAVORITE parts about writing fanfiction. I love to get comments like “I NEVER COMMENT BUT AHHHH!!!!” & I take my time to respond to each one individually. So if reader interaction is important to you, then make sure you participate with your readers and make them feel special and appreciated.... because they deserve it. (I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!)

(I would seriously write my stories JUST for the few people that comment and tell me that my words touched them somehow and they felt things from reading. I can think of specific usernames that made me go AWWWWWW... worth it.)

honestly??? as much effort as i put into it,, uh,,, my whole bring on the monsters series kind of fell flat imo. like personally i think i put TOO much effort into it bc it was only supposed to be like. a handful of key scenes from each book, and then it turned into a full series rewrite and. :/

Wicked Game: (western au, enemies to lovers) my first dcbb, this fic feels like the culmination of every other fic i wrote this year, of all the themes and ideas i wanted to explore. everything fell into place so well, it was so much fun to write, and it’s my baby <3

This Charming Man: (college au) i worked really really hard on this one so it holds a special place in my heart. and the plot is based off a song I really love!

Hope in the Form of One Small Bee: (fluff, established dean/cas) a very soft and quiet fic, and one that felt very personal

How to Say I Love You with Socks: (fluff, falling in love) this might be the fluffiest thing ive ever written, which is saying A LOT. idk it’s really cute and made me happy to write

when Castiel heals him, Dean feels warm: (angst, pining) the shortest fic i wrote (it’s a miracle if i write anything below 1k lol). i just really like the tone of it. it felt very familiar since i always wrote in a similar style in highschool

While You Sleep: (good ol’ pining fic, Cas pov) i came up with the last line first and wrote the whole fic around it, personally i think the ending hits hard :)

Just For Tonight: (9x6 coda, pining, angst) im obsessed with those missing hours, and this was one of the first short fics i ever wrote. very soft and sad and sweet

Sutter Creek: (western au, slow burn) the very first fic I ever wrote and the fic which started this madness (i posted this one in feb!! it feels like forever ago!!) it’s very much like me to just jump in with a 60k AU instead of something shorter, but in my defense, i thought i’d be done with fic writing once i finished it. obviously i caught the bug and couldnt stop :)

What made you start writing fanfic?

well, technically the first fics i wrote weren’t gg ones and i wrote them bc... well im not sure i know! i guess cos i read fic and i wanted to try it, and there were specific things i wanted to read abt that didnt seem to exist, and i like writing?? but i had no inclination to share them with anyone

and then with gg fic, which is the only stuff ive ever posted, it was i. the season 2 finale which was very stupid and ii. how encouraging and welcoming the fandom was

6. Name three stories you found easy to write

hmm. idk that any of them have been really easy, but conversely idk that the actual WRITING part has been that hard for any of them (it’s more the planning/staring into space and editing/polishing that presents challenges; the writing part is normally pretty chill and fun, unless i pass out a lot and end up covered in ink).

but three that were probs easier/st:

i. The Good Kind: i mean it was the first and i had no idea what i was doing and so it was pretty quick, and also while it is verging on actual pwp it has a well-defined conceit and i guess plot which is contained, so it’s not like there were many details to tie up etc

ii. A time to refrain (from embracing): it’s the shortest thing ive written and it kind of burnt out of me very fast after the s3 premiere (i think i had it pretty much in the chamber and just didnt commit to writing it till we saw the beginning of the season) and i don’t think i edited it that heavily

iii. Maybe it’s something in the water: i basically wrote this to cheer myself up, the concept was something i’d been toying with for chapter 2 of filing her nails but then was like no that’s too silly (which, if i’m saying it...hoooo) so i had it lying around my mentalscape. also it’s short and t-rated and mostly humorous, so it wasn’t hard to write? long and smutty and angsty is def more effort!

Alive, indefinitely.

So, since I’ve been dutifully informed that since this is my blog and I can post hwhatever I want, I thought I’d talk a little about my ‘fic ‘Alive, indefinitely’.

The ‘fic was birthed by me realizing the implications of Hussie’s revision that all burgundy bloods have the ability to commune with the dead. For the most part, I dislike his changes where the trolls from Homestuck proper become near stock representatives of their entire bloodcaste, but at least, this one has compelling subtext instead of just seeming lazy. And it is that the bloodcaste that has the ability to commune with the dead is also the bloodcaste that lives the shortest and is the most likely to have friends and acquaintences who die often.

And who better explore that topic than Aradia? So I wrote the ‘fic, and it did branch out to be about her, partially as her role as a rustblood on Alternia. And so it grew bigger than just exploring the subtext. I knew I wanted it in little numbered parts that made vignettes, as I’d been working on writing longer stories and was worried I was losing my edge in vignettes and short fiction. Though the resulting ‘fic ended up 1,677 words (I intended to keep it under 1,000, though I’m not disappointed!), I’m still very satisfied with it and think the vignettes work. With the numbering of the vignettes, I also wanted to do an sort of Epileptic Bicycle and start skipping around numbers, to show that there was different amounts of time passing, and that things were happening in between. And because I just thought it was neat. The idea of a story with missing numbered chapters is very compelling. And anyway, I did have a skip, with the penultimate vignette being 5, and the ultimate being 10 (which upon thought really does make the ‘a lifetime later’ after the 10 work out mathematically*), but it played nowhere near as a big role as I would want to. Maybe some other time.

*Which since all the numbers are roman numerals, 10 ends up being ‘x’, which as a symbol is associated with death. I planned none of that (or at least I don’t remember it consciously) but I will take credit, regardless.

II.

For a second I thought Tumblr was more competent than it is, so I tried to insert a line break, but Tumblr is not competent, so have a fancy second section with big roman numerals instead.

Anyway, I’m just going to note and comment on some specific parts of the passage, because I can.

The internet is wide and wonderful, and it is through there that she learns about archaeology, the wonders lying just beneath the ground and thinks, to be an archaeologist would be an awfully grand adventure.

What Aradia thinks is a fairly straightforward play on the phrase, ‘to die would be an awfully grand adventure’. It's a neat way to both tie back the theme, and it also spared me from figuring out exactly how to phrase it.

She finds especially good company with one boy, his troll tag resting at the top of her chumproll. He’s a rustblood like her, a bit reserved but passionate about the mystery book he’s writing. Occasionally he sends her snippets from it, and while it’s a bit clumsy, he is always eager to hear about her archaeological expeditions, so she never mentions it.

When I wrote this part, I suddenly realized I needed an unnamed rustblood to die. I also realized it would be a good idea to also characterize him a little bit before killing him off, so you get at least the idea of what his and Aradia’s relationship was like, so I decided to use one of my long-derelict fantrolls.

So she starts to rebel. She grows her hair out, longer than the modest shoulder-length cut she had before. She lets it become wild, a sign of her own spirit and power. She starts painting her lips and lining her eyes in burgundy, a mockery of the high bloods who wear their blue hues as a fashion statement.

This is a combination of two of my headcanons about Alternian society: that long, wild hair is seen as a sign of power and sexuality (as expressed by the Condesce and other highbloods), and that wearing hemo lipstick and eyeliner is a high blood fashion trend.

When she is five sweeps old, she makes another close friend. He’s a bit shy, but unapologetic about what he likes – his fiduspawn collection, pupa pan, FLARPing – and that, as much as she loves Sollux, is a breath of fresh air.

Tavros is often done dirty by fanfic and fan-interpretations of Homestuck, and it often intertwines with apologism for Vriska and her abuse of him. He’s treated as a perpetually and naturally weak and insignificant, when having a person who is abusive like Vriska will make anyone unsure and rattled like that. It takes some digging, as the majority of Homestuck takes after Vriska’s batted around Tavros for quite a while, but underneath her abuse (and the effects from that abuse at the hands of Alternian culture) it’s clear that he’s still that unapologetically dorky kid, and even cocky at times. In his trollhandle adiosToreador, he’s not the Toreador - he’s the bull. And hopefully I could express that well in the space that I could.

She befriends Karkat through Sollux, and Terezi through Karkat, and it’s through Terezi that she learns about Vriska.

This is one of several sentences in this ‘fic that employ a certain sense of repetition and rhythm. Part of that is because it gives a motif of time, which is tied to death and destruction in Homestuck, and the other half is because I just... really like writing ‘em.

She still talks with Tavros, however, but now he’s uncertain, hesitant and ashamed, and a fair number of times when she trolls him he doesn’t reply, and when he does more than anything he talks about the things he’s experienced in his dreams, and she knows exactly who has been trolling him even if he doesn’t say it and –

– and Aradia watches her friend become a living ghost, bit by bit.

This is place where I forwent canon the most, earning the ‘fic its ‘mild timeline fudgery’ tag. Throughout writing this ‘fic I constantly had a tab open to either a page in Homestuck or the wiki, or both, in order to make sure I stayed as accurate to Alternian culture that I could (at least, in Homestuck proper). While there were a lot of gaps that I got fill in for myself, it’s just plain canon that Aradia sends the ghosts after Vriska immediately after she knows that Tavros is likely going to be paraplegic for the rest of his life. But I had written the sentence already (one of my favourite lines, really), and it just makes for a better story, at least in this ‘fic. So I kept it like that. There’s also a sort of cut-and-paste fudge in that sentence, too. I remembered that Tavros spent most of his time dreaming on Prospit just so he didn’t have to deal with Vriska’s abuse, but as it turns out, it happens after she god-tiers. So I just turned it into regular dreaming and thereby folded into the above canon discrepancy. But it’s definitely based on that later detail.

iv.

The shock of seeing Sollux actually at her hive is quickly overtaken by the shock that courses through her veins right after she realizes what is about to happen, and far too late to do anything about it.

I knew pretty early that I wanted the vignette of her death to be one sentence long, though I certainly ended up stretching that one sentence fairly far. Either way, it’s very isolated from the rest of the ‘fic, which is fairly on-par for the ‘fic style where a particularly hard-hitting or important sentence gets its own paragraph. Anyway, everyone knows how the story ends, and it’s sudden for Aradia, so I think putting it in one sentence both works structurally and artistically.

She’s tired of temporal inevitability.

She’s free of the endless orders and voices of the dead.

She, for the first time in her life, feels truly alive.

Instead of the pale shadows that clung to her hive, the hollow ghosts that people left behind, the dream bubbles are filled with countless iterations of her friends, and numerous others.

But even then, dying and waking up in foreign surroundings is a shock.

And really, there’s no-one else who would be a better guide to greet the dead.

At this point, I feel again, that going into detail would be dragging things out. I also wanted it to feel significantly different from the rest. So, where the other parts of the story are told through a sort of rolling tone of voice, through ‘the lens of age old history’ the rather straightforward sentences here are meant to sound very present.

This is a whole damn thesis and it’s about my fics :’> You know, it’s easy to brush off fanfiction as a ‘whatever’ thing and indeed, it isn’t that big of a deal compared to some things in the world. But I really do take all my stories seriously and put forth a lot of effort - so to see it recognized and appreciated it makes me beyond happy. It’s good to know that my efforts haven’t gone to waste at all and that there are people out there who will support me no matter the endeavours I take. Thank you so much. I’ve cried so much when I read Beyond reach, Boo-lieve in me, A piece of the moonlight, His name, Tell me lies etc. etc, and also laughed and felt the emotions of not just the OC, but also the other characters. Kitchen Romance was also so fluffy and sweet and personally, I don’t think that anything needs to be added to it. Anyway, your fics do not lack emotion—you’re probably the first author I send a message to because your stories impacted me a lot and left a strong impression on me. I even imagine your characters as real people who have real lives that continue on even after the story is done.

Trust me, writing comes with practice!! I should honestly just tattoo that on me. God knows my first fanfic was absolutely GARBAGE. I didn’t know pacing, didn’t know that I should separate chunks of paragraphs, how to write dialogue or describe scenes properly. I went in blind. Even my second, third and fourth fanfic was garbage. You could definitely get to “my level” or even far surpass it with enough dedication and practice. I mean I’ve been writing for four years, so thank GOD there’s been improvement. I wouldn’t be natural if there wasn’t. But clearly the more you practice, the better you improve! That applies to anything.

The me in ten years will certainly be better now.

tbh, I’m not sure how well I handled it cause I was flooded with over 30 messages afterwards (evidently) ;_; which I love and appreciate but I’m not really as hurt as some people think hahaha criticism should be received well but it’s still hard not to take personally tbh. It’s gonna have to be something I work on or perhaps it’ll be one of those things that I’ll take better with age.
