Buddy Dawn was truly such a little guy to me. I felt the same way about him as I did about freshman year Kristen lol like you're just a gay kid from a stifling religious upbringing. You tried to get the Rat Grinders to join your prayer chain huh.

hi i love seeing you talk about your field as another autistic person who gets these kinds of people trying to 1-up. keep up the good work on what you do. how do so many people think antarctica means no bears
there's a popular tumblr post that claims antarctica means no bears. they definitely got the idea from that

Reading Bleak House by Charles Dickens for my book club (we're not talking about it until October but it is a chonker so I'm reading a chapter here and there while I read other books as well). While it can be a little difficult to parse at times, at others, the humour and the satire and the incisive character portraits really come through. I've not read much Dickens, only A Christmas Carol which I love, but that's pretty short where most of Dickens' work is intimidatingly long. But I'm definitely enjoying it so far, this quote in particular in Chapter 7 struck me as very Pratchett-esque in its humour:
'It appears to the afflicted Mr Guppy and his inconsolable friend that there is no end to the Dedlocks, whose family greatness seems to consist in their never having done anything to distinguish themselves, for seven hundred years.'

with all due respect it is always going to feel a bit alien to me that some people watch the thick of it and a) are more interested in adam and fergus and/or b) have no freak interest in the real political context of it like i do. those kids have no idea whatsoever of what went on at the leveson inquiry
