As a multishipper I do genuinely love Sastiel, I just wish I could find Sastiel fics that weren't either straight up fluff or angst/no comfort. i was discussing this with friends yesterday but it is worth something to say here. i want sastiel to go canon in the reboot. i think this would be the funniest outcome. multishippers are confused as to why samcas was chosen over any other popular sam or castiel ship. destiel shippers are fucking RIOTING. they’re so unhappy. there’s fires outside the CW headquarters. wincesties are half laughing that it wasn’t destiel, but half raging that it had to be a ship to do with cas. sassies and samgirls are squealing with joy that sam won. Only 2% of the fandom are pleased with this outcome

Hi okay SO. I have been putting off making an introduction post because I'd mostly prefer people to just look at my blog and decide if they want to hang out based on that, rather than making some big definitive statement about Who I Am.
But I'm currently accumulating followers at a truly alarming rate and - look, I don't want to give the impression I'm ungrateful, I am genuinely SO TOUCHED by every single one of you who's interested in what I have to say!! The feeling is 100% mutual, and I am having a blast sharing everyone's thoughts and enthusiasm. It's just that my goal with this blog is to have fun and do my own thing. I don't hate attention but I'm also not looking for it.
On balance, then, I think it's probably a good idea to give people a general sense of what I'm about so that if it doesn't appeal to you, we can opt out of each other's social circle before anyone steps on anyone else's toes.
My general philosophy:
I am here to have fun. I might occasionally have a little kvetch about some fandom trend or another but ultimately, even if your favourite trope drives me up the wall, I'm genuinely so happy that it is out there bringing you joy. I try very very hard to treat everyone with kindness and to avoid getting caught up in drama.
This isn't a clique it's a community. Please leave commentary on my posts or drop me a message if you wanna chat!
I follow and unfollow pretty liberally and never mean anything personal by it. I might consider you a friend but still unfollow if your current hyperfocus isn't jiving with mine. In turn, I will never take offence to anyone doing the same with me. Regardless of our following status, I'm always up to chat.
I don't do DNIs. Interact if you want to, don't if you don't. Good faith questions and comments are always welcome. Malicious behaviour will be blocked.
Primary Fandoms
Good Omens - I have loved this fandom for years and years, since before the TV show as it exists today was even a twinkle in Neil's eye. I ship Crowley and Aziraphale SO HARD and I am completely blown away by everything that we've gotten since the first season came out in 2019. Fifteen year old me could not even have imagined!!!
Supernatural - Literal opposite energy. I resisted this show for its entire run, after watching the pilot when it aired and thinking "if I watch this, I will end up shipping the brothers, and I am just not prepared for shipping the brothers." Fifteen years later destiel came in swinging with the steel chair and I grumbled and decided I'd better watch it to find out what all the fuss was about. And do you guys know what? I was right all along. I came away from that show obsessed with it as a gothic horror story and shipping the brothers hard. So wincest is my otp, but I'm a multishipper and I have a soft spot for wincestiel, destiel and sastiel too. As a darkfic enjoyer, I also dabble in John/Dean/Sam and variants. I'm not, like, opposed to less-dark takes on this, they just don't do much for me. I'm pretty careful to tag ships in this fandom consistently, so if you don't want to see something, you can blacklist it.

You might see these occasionally or for short stretches but they aren't currently taking over my brain the same way Good Omens and Supernatural are.

I mostly tag for fandoms and ships (although I'm not currently tagging for Crowley/Aziraphale beyond the parent "good omens" tag. That may change if I settle on a tag I like). I wish that I could tag for triggers requested by people who want to follow me, but realistically, that isn't something I can guarantee and trying just wipes me out. If trigger tags are something you need, we may have to admire one another from afar.

Sam woke up, alive and whole, to a clear blue Summer sky. He was on an open, empty field, the grass soft and fragrant beneath him. Dark, confusing sensations receded like the last echoes of fading dreams. He recalled nothing but the pull of Hell’s gravity and the bloodied face of his brother.
He knew that he had fallen into the pit, he knew that he should be facing eternal torment. He wasn’t though; he didn’t know where he was or how much time had passed, but he was back. He had been raised from perdition.
Sam had nothing on him but the clothes he wore. He had no clue as to how he had escaped but for a tingling on his left wrist that revealed an imprint of slim fingers.

Been into SPN for about 3 years now. Went through a phase where I couldn't stand Wincest and judged people who shipped them. Had some rough moments with Destielers/Wincesties, and yeah... Now I'm 22, studying psychology. I couldn't care less about likes in fiction, ships or characters. I like the characters and their dynamics, end of story. And that goes for any ship. Is not rocket science, it's just entertainment and preferences. Sure, there are characters and content I'm not into, but If I don't like, I scroll past it or block the user, and I expect the same deal.
If Sastiel/Wincestiel/Wincest ain't your cup of tea, but you're mature enough to just scroll past without drama, you're welcome.

It's funny how certain people will continue to post weirdo conspiracy theories about fandom "grifters" (that don't exist) and claim an entire server full of meta nerds and memes and theories with channels for different tv shows and properties from spn to star wars to dc and cute pet photos and yelling about pierogies are some sinister cult here to destroy fandom as if there's nothing odd about their behavior, nothing unsettling about this hate fixation, or the way they continue to lie and lie and lie.
I will be referring to this individual as The Fake TFW Stan from now on just for clarity (A back story: poses as TFW/J2M fan, insidiously backhands Jensen, claims to care about Cas but diminishes him at every opportunity, as actually a bitter Sam/Jared stan who claims to multiship but reinforces a bunch of brosonly type bs, claims to be a multishipper, but undermines Destiel at every opportunity because he's salty that Sastiel isn't the big ship instead, smarmily and passive aggressively continues to imply that Jensen is anti-Destiel, and is actually an exceedingly bitter anti who is pissed at spn but won't admit it, as he plays heavily with fake politeness).
And FYI, people in this fandom with experience directly in, or understanding of, how the media industry works, and a lot of experience analyzing media and tv story structure and have been to a few rodeos, who got their series finale predictions borked due to external factors such as queer censorship and covid restrictions and butchering that resulted in a script draft full of [OMITTED] yet were right time and again about so many things again and again and continue to be right now and have been accurately with their fingers on the pulse on things that landed us right where things are today with the SPN universe and the Jensen long con are not sinister meanies and frauds trying to trick you. It's FANS. Informed fans. Media literate fans. Who got screwed over by the same systemic problems that impacted the writers room.
While the Fake TFW Stan keeps flopping his arms around squawking on about conspiracies fandom cults and grifters that don't exist and keeps getting things wrong. And doesn't know when it's time to shut up and stop their ceaseless hate campaign or attempts to make everyone think they are in the know and some kind of special authority. While they keep being wrong and will NOT STOP THEIR ENDLESS HATE CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE ADMIN OF A SERVER AND A BUNCH OF META NERDS.
This person is baffling. Their blog often has some good in it, they do put in effort and they make transcriptions and find things and could do a lot of good but instead they choose...to be a mess. Their twitter is more drama free so they retain more credibility there. Their tumblr audience, note, has dwindled down to Misha haters. People who like those posts, I use as a "who to block" guide."
This is just beyond bizarre at this point.

the only time destielgirls post about sastiel is when they’re doing it as a joke, and when we point out that trashing something that we ship seriously isn’t funny and is rude, they get mad at us for not understanding the joke.
if the tables were reversed and multishippers were the ones to make the same “joke” about destiel the destielgirls would act like they’re oppressed and pull up the classic “this is a destiel site, if you don’t ship it get off tumblr” line.
