Clay Beresford Finds Love Again

Role play idea

Plot: Clay is having a hard time coping with his trauma alone. He doesn't know who to trust anymore. It is really heartbroken and struggling. Eventually he ends up falling in love again with someone he trusts, but it takes the couple a lot of time to get there. Clay will require a lot of patience and support.

Here is a little starter

It has almost been a year since his heart transplant surgery. He has been feeling lonely and still consumed with dark thoughts. He was in his living room, looking at some old photos of his mother, Lilith. He was still grieving and knew that guilt was always going to haunt him.

The only person he trusted with his life, had passed on giving Clay a second chance at life. Lilith knew how strong Clay was and it wasn't his time to give up. He only wished his mother was there in person to tell him that. The only company he had around was his live-in nurse monitoring him who he also didn't trust completely. His nurse has been trying to encourage him to go to therapy, but he doesn't accept this and doesn't trust this decision yet.

Clay also had to go to see Dr. Neyer again for a monthly check up in the morning, which he was already dreading due to his anxiety and uncertainties. The fear of him potentially needing other surgeries in the future was always looming in his brain.

He also feels completely alone and knows that he can't trust anyone anymore and wonders if he will ever be open to finding love and just simply trying to make friends again.

Note: I really want to bring Awake to life because it was definitely an underrated Hayden film. It is one of my favorite Hayden films at the moment. The funniest kind of critical role "critique" is always going to be the 'they present themselves as if they aren’t rich/a company no I will not give any examples' crowd. Like what does this even mean. They start literally every single episode with informing you they are professional voice actors. They have clearly advertised sponsors. They have an entire line of merch and an animated show. The production value of the set is bonkers. They run a charity foundation. Do you want them to start every episode with a blaring siren and a warning saying 'beware! company run content! we make money!!' Are you just angry that they are friends having fun as they make a living. Do you have any understanding of how money works.

I would like to bring attention to all employees working for Beresford Capital as I have important news to share. It is very unfortunate but Mrs. Lilith Beresford passed away a few days ago on November 1st. I will not be in the office for a few weeks as I am taking some family time to grieve and take care of some other personal matters. My assistant James will be taking over for me until I return to the office. If you need anything or have any questions please contact him about anything regarding work. I will be checking in and communicating with James daily by phone or email.

I've mentioned in other OPCE posts that the veracity of the 'true stories' told is difficult to pin down #Bellamy is playing journalist Eddy Gilbert‚ a very real person‚ and the details of his marriage to a Russian ballet dancer‚ Tamara‚ and the #opposition they faced from Russian authorities is certainly true; their relationship was well known enough to have inspired a film‚ 1953's #Never Let Me Go starring Clark Gable as Gilmore and Gene Tierney as Tamara (albeit with names changed and some highly dramatic additions #to their story). how much is true of the rest of this tv ep is anyone's guess but it's certainly among the more believable #and there's nothing too objectionable (accounting for cold war era attitudes‚ i mean)
