Just got back from seeing Mr. Malcolm’s List and it was a lot of fun. They really leaned into the rom-com elements of the story, but the actors were able to pull off the emotional scenes as well.
Obviously, I loved Zawe’s performance (she’s so good that you actually forgive her for a really mean trick she plays), but so is Sopé Dirisu. The way his face drops when he realizes that not only does Selina know his friend Henry Ossery, but Henry is interested in her, too, is priceless. 😂
So, yes, if you like fluffy rom-coms and British actors having a hell of a good time playing off each other, you’ll like the movie.
i love you pianoforte. i love you conversation-while-dancing. i love you public balls. i love you walks. i love you hand flex. i love you excellent boiled potatoes. i love you apology letter. i love you sunrise kiss
I have now both read and watched Austenland, an order I'm glad I stuck with, because the book was fun, but the movie was SO GREAT!!! It had me giggling, doing kicky feet, emitting high-pitched squeals of PURE SHIPPY JOY. On a related note, guess it's time for a JJ Feilds IMDB tour after all. Feel free to throw me recs.
P.S. I would also like to congratulate everyone involved for upping the horse content, and chef's kiss to the newborn foal cherry on top.
