I suspect I don't like Amazon any more than the next person, but at least the platform has given me a chance to publish this really neat planner for 2024!
At the start of each week is an entire page for to-do lists and other notes to help organise your week (gods know I need it), and at the end of each week is a half-page slot to make other notes.
There's a section at the front for the forgetful to write down birthdays and actually have it all in one place (it just gets really frustrating to have to keep flicking through the calendar to see when everyone's birthdays is, y'know?), and at the end there's an overview with one-page calendars for every month of 2025!
Some promo from the test copy I got last week:

This is essentially the planner I wished I had in uni and high school to help me organise my weeks, and while I'm no longer in high school or uni, there might be other students who finds this helpful!!
If there's a demand for different themes and colours, I could make a few different copies — but again, that's only if there's enough out there who actually want it.
Thanks for having a look and passing this on to friends and others who might be interested!

TRIPLE THREAT, BABY!
aka modern AU Cicero, Caelius, Crassus! I originally planned on doing this set in the Late Republic, but I forgot I had a stack of reading to do on Caelius and decided to set it in the modern day because I’m confident in my ability to draw a shirt collar but if I try reading anything Cicero wrote before I drink my morning coffee, I will simply turn to dust
(also the buttons for Cicero’s vest are on the wrong side, I’m aware, I flipped the canvas to ink it as one does and realized I liked it better this way & didn’t feel fixing it etc)
⭐ places I’m at! bsky / pixiv / pillowfort /cohost / cara.app / tip jar!

here are all the recs I posted for femslash february 2024...! each individual rec post can be found in my femslash feb recs tag. I actually thought I wasn't going to be able to do this because work got super chaotic, but in the end I couldn't bear to skip out on a leap year. that's a whole extra day for yuri.
last year I focused on official releases, so this year I wanted to focus on series that aren't technically officially available (plus a french-japanese film). fan translations are always a dicey for artists/translators/publishers/etc because obviously they need to get paid... but yuri's already such an overlooked genre that—in an official capacity—we end up with a couple drops from what's already a pretty small pool. I read hana to hoshi about a decade ago, and I keep submitting it to the seven seas survey for licensure! and yet!! no dice. and even when there are official releases, sometimes they just... disappear!? wish you were gone was licensed and then taken down, so for a while the only way to read it (if you missed out on buying it) was the fan translation. I think it's important to support artists and official releases, and also, to appreciate the thankless endeavor(/crime) of scanlation.
hope yall find something you like!

rape ment / not a huge fan of debates from reactionary atheists who joke about mary lying about cheating or being some sort of first century slut, and then making up a story about god appearing to her to hide the truth because like. that's a girl. that's a child. that's a peasant girl under the age of sixteen. if you take that story at historical face value and agree that the mythological aspect is simply not real, then suddenly this is a story about a girl who was almost certainly raped, cannot remember what happened to her, and tells a story that an angel appeared to her and impregnated her. and that is the basis of christianity. christians also do not like to talk about this and i have also sat in the camp of mary's consent was predetermined, but i've also grown enough as a christian and a theologian to recognize how fucking depressing this story is. maybe the story of christ is one that begins and ends with a miracle, or maybe it's one that begins and ends with being brutalized by men.

every time i see one of those "there's too much positivity for feminine trans men. too much representation for trans men" i feel like i'm being gaslit
did anyone else live through the height of the truscum era? just me?
did anyone else have to lie to their therapists and show up to court in suits and wear a mask of Impenetrable Masculinity devoid of expression in order to survive. to go on hormones. to have surgery. to not get assaulted in bathrooms.
does anyone else have family members tell them they couldn't possibly be a man because of how feminine they are. or ask them if they're detransitioning every 5 minutes because they put nail polish on
being masculine is what is expected for men whether they are cis or trans. i get that your own internalized transphobia, in addition to unchecked misogyny (stemming from dysphoria) as well as femmephobia (which stems from toxic masculinity) is warping your world view where Big Femme is subjugating the mascs, but the issue here is not femmes.
the issue here is cis people infantilizing and emasculating you.
so instead of throwing us under the bus, next time consider not mentioning us at all. say what you actually mean. "i don't like how cis people depict us" or "i would like to see some more positivity for mascs"

i advocate for tech art a lot when people ask about it since i do think as big a learning curve it can have there's ways of making it approachable but i do feel like it would be irresponsible to not mention that the videogame industry right now is kind of uh, Not Having A Great Time. there have been a lot of layoffs with no sign of stopping, so theres a lot of people looking for work and not a ton of open positions. and publishers are being a lottt more stingy about giving money to indiegames right now too. it is Rough Out There, and hopefully, it will get better over time, but, just setting the tone for how things are rn

INTERFACING - You let the empty bottle go. Upon contact with the ground it shatters into pieces that scatter, joining its intact brothers on the cold linoleum of your kitchen floor.
YOU - It'll hurt.
HALF LIGHT - Of course it will. Do not jump down from this countertop. You will cut yourself and bleed out through the soles of your feet.
INLAND EMPIRE - That's not what he meant.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - What then, the hangover?
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT - The shoulder?
VOLITION - The failure?
LOGIC - The resetting of the timer? Going back to day zero...
YOU - No.
ESPRIT DE CORPS - The idea of letting Kim know that he could not protect you from this. It rips a hole in your stomach for all to see.
YOU - But who else could I tell?
[VOLITION: Impossible] - Call Jean
[PAIN THRESHOLD: Challenging] - Call Kim
[ELECTROCHEMISTRY: Easy] - …

The worst part about reading in a genre where you have low expectations (in this case, Christian historical fiction) is that when a book impresses you, you have no idea if it's actually good or if you're just overly impressed because it was a fraction of a degree better than the usual garbage.
#basically lately anytime i read a christian fiction book that isn't romance-based i find myself surprised by the quality#i do think that some christian publishers are getting better#and trying to tell stories that dig deeper into real faith and messy issues#instead of making only vapid squeaky clean prayer-filled tropefests#but i'm not sure *how much* better#because anything above the low bar feels like great literature#the most recent is 'in a far-off land' by stephanie landsem#and let me tell you setting the prodigal son in 1930s hollywood is a genius concept#i have some issues with the history and the mystery#but the characters!#it has been a long time since i cried this hard over a book#several chapters of solid waterworks#(and i also have the issue of figuring out if it's actually that moving or if i'm just hormonal/sleep-deprived)#i keep thinking about this book but also i worry about recommending because what if it's actually terrible by normal book standards?#(also the author DOES NOT understand the seal of confession and i was SHOCKED to find that she's actually catholic)#but also looking at the reviews makes it clear that if most of christian fiction is vapid garbage it's these reviewers' fault#here you have something that's digging into sin and darkness and justice and mercy and these people are just#'how can it call itself christian fiction if it only mentions god at the end?'#are we reading the same book this WHOLE THING is about god! and humanity and our fallen nature and how this breaks relationships!#your pearl-clutching anytime someone tries to get even a tiny bit realistic is destroying this genre#i'm gonna run out of tags so i'll stop now

here’s the thing. i’ve known since the day i set out in earnest that i’d have a career in writing, and it’s not because of any inherent talent i think i might have.
it’s because i love it fiercely, and i am both stubborn and really, REALLY obnoxious.
publishing watch out. this is a threat

Tajime ran a fond hand through his son’s wild hair. “There are things that you will only learn when the weight of leadership lies on your shoulders.”
“But I’ll still have you to learn from,” Madara protested, looking so painfully young in Tajime’s eyes.
A wry, sad smile twisted his thin lips. “… Not always.”
