hello again, back on the note of Gregor's dad and Ripred being penpals spiraling into him being an adopted member of the family and Gregor being REALLY bad at gnawer but trying, can only say a few words.

Ripred's packmates jokingly teach Gregor to say 'dad' and tell him that's what you call a mentor figure you respect/your alpha, and is what he should culturally call Ripred. 'It's totally a big deal and you should, it'll impress him so much.' And they make him practice til he can pronounce that word PERFECTLY.

Oh. My. Gosh!

Yes! I can feel the second hand embarrassment from here.

And I bet it’s Lizzie who finally tells Gregor what that word really means. Or even that he hears Boots using it for their dad. That would be so cute. Hazard probably taught her.

And when Gregor first uses it for Ripred to his face, Ripred is both DyiNg with laughter and kind of touched. Extra points if it’s in a dire situation that Gregor first uses the word and Ripred genuinely thinks he means ‘dad’ and goes into that’s my kid mode to get them out of the situation. Later, Gregor is horrified when he finds out what the term really means. After a while he’s okay with it tho, but only because Ripred really has been acting like his dad lately and he makes everyone swear never to tell Luxa.

Ripred inevitably tells Gregor’s dad of this development and they have a laugh about it. Gregor’s dad is sure to remind Gregor about his other dad on Father’s Day. Gregor is so done.

There’s a whole fic in this idea, someone get on that! And tell me when it’s done because I want to read it!

do you occasionally walk around your home blind? and by this i mean do you close your eyes and walk around as if you were blind because seeing is just Too Much™️ at the moment?

i ask this because i regularly shower, get a drink, or go back and forth between my room and the bathroom completely blind. it’s just nice. it’s better when it’s dark too, so you don’t see the light behind your eyes

New Years Plan

This year, in 2024, I am going to follow a new plan.

Plans are hard for me but I've been getting better

Thats going to be the motto this year: "I'm getting better"

Anyone who stumbles upon this, feel free to use this as inspiration for your new year

Please don't give me hate. The stuff on this list is stuff I struggle with.

DAILY:

Change my clothes and put them in the hamper

I wake up late most days before school because of ADHD paralysis, and so I want to be able to get up earlier and have time to move slowly

Brush my teeth

I got braces recently and I don't brush my teeth enough because I can never find the motivation. Hopefully if I wake up earlier to get dressed I'll have time to brush my teeth more too

EAT.

The average weight that someone who is 5'6 and AFAB is 120-130, and i have not weighed above 118 in months. I take Adderall so eating is already hard, plus I don't quite understand what being hungry feels like? I know that sounds weird but I just eat when my stomach hurts and I hope to change that.

Do my homework (ALL OF IT)

I have a big problem with getting my homework done because I just can't make myself do it. I just can't get myself to touch it half the time and I never know why. I just passed this semester with all As and Bs and I hope to keep that streak going.

Say 1 thing I like about myself

This is pretty self explanatory. ✨️Depression and self hatred. ✨️

Make my bed

I'm hoping it will help me stay motivated to keep my room clean if I have my bed all comfy every night

Take a shower

*Without sitting on the floor in the shower for an hour and contemplating life

Honestly I just think spending time at my altar has helped with my stress; it's like a place that I can control and that I have power over and where I van do my part to help others with things they may not be able to control. I meditate there, make spell jars there, and write in my journal there.

I want to use this upcoming year to share my journey in self improvement and healing from everything that's happened, whether that be by venting or by giving advice I myself need.

As thanks for the warm (and, at times, hilarious) welcome back, here's an updated, significantly less wordy version of my Emergency Cleaning list. The original will be a decade old in a few months, if you can believe it!

You may need to modify or adjust the steps on this list based on your own situation — it's meant as a general guideline for those who need a little help pushing past the "Where the hell am I supposed to start?" feeling. This is also not meant to be a comprehensive "How to clean your house properly and maintain it forever" guide. It's for those moments when you have to quickly half-ass it because someone is going to be in your space soon and it's a disaster. If you can close some doors and cut some steps from the list, even better. Definitely do that.

I think one of my favorite things about Codywan is that it absolutely could be canon and wouldn’t disrupt the established timeline. I mean, a ship doesn’t have to be canon compliant to mean something but for me, personally, I so rarely fall for pairs that are possible that when I do it’s like, a little extra special.

And as someone who loves angst + hurt / comfort, codywan in canon would obviously be filled to the brim with both in order to maintain established canon. For example, Cody obviously isn’t in A New Hope, but with the clones accelerated aging that could easily be a sad but canon compliant reason why he’s not. Or in rebels, Rex mentions he believes Obi-Wan to be dead, and he talks about Cody as if he’s no longer around. That could be because Cody and Obi-Wan are hiding out together on Tattooine, just like the original draft of the Kenobi script.

Does this make sense? Do I think Lucasfilm would ever go for this? No. But do I think if they wanted to they could do so very, very easily and it would fit right into canon, like it always belonged? Yes.
