It’s no secret that Theodore Nott had a rough childhood

Between witnessing his mother’s death at a young age and having a particularly ruthless father, Theo learned to be quietly reserved early on

1000% Theo is an introvert

Despite being seemingly closed off, he’s extremely observant and good at reading others and picking up on things quickly

While he may not be the best at deciphering his own emotions, he’s able to sort through others’ easily

This makes it easy for him to be rather manipulative because he knows what makes other’s tick and how to go straight for the jugular

He may be distant and off putting in the beginning, but once you get close, he’s a clingy bastard because he doesn’t let many people get close, so once you make it there he’ll basically hold you captive forever

He’s also stupid smart

(Canonically he’s able to re-create an illegal time turner after they were all destroyed in the department of mysteries so//)

And this makes his a bit of an arrogant asshole

Looks down on people he thinks aren’t as smart as him

He definitely thinks that he knows best and can have a “my way or the highway” type mindset

Probably has some type of gifted kid™️ trauma and a crippling fear of failure

Anyway, he’s super intelligent and witty and has the potential to do really well in classes

But he has a nasty habit off skiving off with Mattheo Riddle

Who happens to be his best friend along with Lorenzo Berkshire

A lot of people think Theo is the “mother” of the group, or at least the one with the most impulse control

They’re wrong

Theo is the one that Mattheo goes to with his dumbass ideas and Theo’s response is generally something along the lines of-

“Absolutely not you tosser. If we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it right”

Queue Mattheo’s initial plan- only methodically planned out to cause maximal emotional trauma for the Hogwarts population

Theo and Mattheo are also a chaotic duo on the quidditch pitch

Theo is a chaser

Making the quidditch team in his third year is one of the only times his father showed a hint of satisfaction with the boy

Being on the Slytherin quidditch team, he’s often labeled a preppy jock

And Mattheo does help him break out of his shell more

But he’s a nerdy lil book worm at heart and likes to be holed up in the library most days

Theo also has quite the reputation of being a ladies man with rumors about his escapades swarming the student body

But really they’re just that- rumors

Lorenzo is more of the openly flirtatious pretty boy, and Mattheo certainly knows how to make his way around which is perhaps why people think Theo would be the same way

But he isn’t one to really form physical attachments- emotional or not

He prefers to fly under the radar

He may have had a fling or two, but isn’t one to kiss and tell

He has a hard time entering a real relationship

Mostly because when he first realizes he’s caught feelings, he’s convinced he’s actually just ill and stays in bed pretending to be sick

But once he comes to terms with things, he’s one determined wizard

Makes sure everyone knows that you’re off limits (possibly before you know yourself)

Definitely goes to Enzo for advice on how to woo you

With varying degrees of success

King of subtle PDA (just enough to mark his territory)

Confident and secure in his relationship, but also still jealous as hell

Will hex the living shit out of someone for breathing at you the wrong way

Finds it amusing when you get jealous though

But will shut it the fuck down as soon as he picks up on you being actually upset (probably embarrassing whoever it is in the process)

Not always the best at communicating his feeling cause he’s emotionally constipated af

But tries because he knows he doesn’t want a relationship like his parent’s

Progress Update

Hey everyone~ Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday season. For those of us who also celebrate Chinese New Year, the season is still going strong. This is going to be long so below the cut to save your dashboard.

Guess it's about time I post one of these. So, there was an anon who said I've been posting too many asks to actually be working on the if. For those who have followed me for a while, you know that I queue things. Meaning the blog stays active while I'm elsewhere. I have a new class starting in February which is going to be, well eventful to say the least. Luckily, that class will be online which means I have more time to focus on my writing/coding.

While some coding I can handle fine, some is just a bit of a hassle. This again makes me think of moving from twine to choice. I just enjoy the look of twine and the ease of it better. I've been working on ensuring I get all the customization options in the character creator. (This includes specific types of heterochromia). I've also been working on a master post. This will help in finding more information about chosen ro's, character dynamics, snippets, scenario asks, etc.

I've since decided that the demo will be shortened. If need be I will go through and move some things around so that you're still able to meet all the Ro's in the initial drop. I also want to do some alpha testing before the initial drop, which i will put an application out for. Not only will you get to meet the Ro's in the demo, you will also get to customize your MC, their looks, and even some relationships. (Looking at you G!) Not only will you get to decide on some relationships, but I also want you to meet a specific character in the demo. (Any guesses?) Hope some of you are a fan of choice indicators!

I keep going through rereading what I've gotten typed up and changing a few things. I know it doesn't have to be perfect because it's something I can always come back to. Yet, I want it to be perfect, to convey the right emotions such as betrayal by Chris and Jade, even MC's family. Will it be my best work? Probably not, but I will continue to come back to it so that it is on that level. So, until then if I get quiet it's because I'm just busy, if you see a lot of asks. I assure you I'm working on the if, I'm just answering and queuing things on the side. I guess I should show a few bits of code here and there. Maybe a small glimpse behind the curtain of Love and Leases. So this is just a glimpse of what is in Twine, I will end up changing the theme, font, font color etc. (Any guesses on who MC just had a meet cute with?)

They say never meet your heroes or, in this case, your beloved idol. Marinette learned this the hard way.

She was beside herself when she learned that, despite the rumors of having (yet again) a new Supreme-sanctioned girlfriend, the self-proclaimed teen heartthrob Sunshine Boy Adrien was having an informal meet and greet at Le Grand Paris. Just two blocks away from her own home. There was no point asking for permission. Her parents would never allow it. But this chance was too good to let it lapse. 

It was dark and everyone was asleep. She grabbed a few magazines and one of the many pictures scattered all over her punk themed bedroom and, silently escaped her room by climbing down the side wall of her three storey home. She ran into the night and camped, hours before dawn, by the expected location, right near the entrance of the fanciest hotel in Paris. It was chilly and slightly humid as the sun climbed the sky but Marinette didn't pay any mind even as the noisy swarm of fans started gathering all around the area forcing her to push and fight to keep her privileged spot in the queue.

There he was, Adrien Agreste in the flesh, even more handsome than portrayed in the heavily retouched press photos or the official telescreen channels. Her heart skipped a beat and she charged forward to beg for an autograph.

And then she saw her.

His arm around her with such unbearable familiarity. Her golden messy hair precariously arranged in two braided ponytails. Unmistakably her. Blinding her with that sunny personality and that oh-so-hideous saccharine smile plastered on that ridiculously pretty doll-like face: Chloe. Chloe Bourgeois. The snobbiest prissy miss perfect, top-of-the-class loved-by-all daughter of the mayor of Paris. Chloe Bourgeois. Her bully. Her tormentor. The only person who single-handedly made her life a total misery every single day since kindergarten. Even today on this otherwise auspicious day.

She felt something snap and, for a moment, she couldn't move. As she missed her chance, she got shoved and pushed by the hoards of screeching fans hopelessly drawn to the golden pair like moths to a flame. A flame Marinette could no longer see with tears clouding her sight and threatening to ruin her heavy makeup and the magazines she clutched for dear life onto her chest.

Then another spark blew from her heart, and fire swallowed her whole, uncontrolled, until it scorched her feelings and escaped her lips in a shaken broken whisper: I hate you.

I hate you. She repeated and ran as fast as she could until she crashed back in her bed. She ignored the angry protests of her parents and, possessed by an irrational anger, she dragged all the posters, the pictures, the Supreme endorsed propaganda and threw them into the open fire of the large oven at the back of the bakery. She just stood there hypnotized, staring and staring as that pretty boy face writhed in the flames.

When everything was reduced to ashes, she pulled her phone and called that guy who'd been pestering her for the last few months, begging her for a date. And she agreed. Because she also wanted to shine. She wanted to be loved and held tightly, and worshipped even if for just a moment, even if that moment was going to be with that obnoxious, arrogant, stuck-up class president, Le Chien Kim.

But maybe just then she would finally stop feeling like such a loser for having that ridiculous crush for someone who didn't even know she existed.

And with those thoughts she promised to never succumb to the whims of her heart ever again.

But Marinette was right at least for one thing: Adrien Agreste had never even seen her before in his life. Not until a few weeks later when he decided to finally surprise his mother with her favorite artisan macarons and his feet dragged him to the door of the most popular bakery of the 21th arrondissement.

✨ the last couple of days ✨

(before any Eragon girlie gets excited, I'm sorry I wasn't the one that bought Murtagh, my friend was, I shamefully haven't read Eragon yet)

📚This last week was a mess tbh - which makes sense, bc next week is spring break, and the week before that is always chaotic. I had my first test, which actually went pretty well, I had the most chaotic classes, and I also made plans for the holidays (me and my best friend are going to her aunt's place by the beach, even tho apparently it's going to rain all week lol)

for some reason, this weekend I barely did anything, but maybe this was just some kind of reset before the holidays... Also, next week I'll probably won't be posting as much, since I'll be offline most of the week. Or maybe i'll queue some posts.... we'll see.

(lastly, yes, i was wearing a plastic tiara in the laptop pic. I needed a little incentive to study lol 👑)

Today was one of those days where I felt like absolute garbage. I was sick. I hate being sick. It's boring being sick. All I could do was lay in my and be sick.

I skipped my classes since I couldn't get out of bed. I hadn't told anyone and no one knows. I've spent the day in my dorm alone being sick as sick can be.

Knock, knock, knock

I know that knock anywhere. That's Luke. He probably came to come check on me to make sure I'm not dead. I was too weak to get up to answer the door. I gave it a moment before getting up to open the door.

Luke's facial expression dropped when he saw my face. Pale, tired, and weak. He could tell I was sick. It didnt take him long to get in my dorm, close the door, and sit down on my bed with me.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yeah, just sick" coughing in between the sentence. I layed back on my bed getting under the blankets as Luke layed down next to me. "I'm going to get you sick" I told him as he came closer to me.

"We can be sick together then." He said with a smile on his face. A soft one forming on mine. He was pulling me close to him and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

All I needed was to be held and be better. He was helping with that. He held me in his arms while rubbing my back slowly to help make me feel better. Cuddles and kisses are the only these that make being sick the best part. There really is no good part of being sick but it helps.

Twitter and the death of Media Literacy

Lemme tackle picture number 2 first. Number one, what the HELL do you mean "normal mentally ill [woman]"?? There's no such thing. There's not even such a thing as normal non-mentally ill. Everyone is different and has different reactions and symptoms. and number two: where the fuck do you get off calling the author a sex pest for the "crime" of exploring her options in brothels (well, i guess maybe it is a crime, i forget how japan's laws are, but still. i better not hear you demanding more rights for sex workers while indirectly demeaning their jobs, ya nitwit)? Being gay (or even just non-conforming, and that's not even just about gender) in Japan, while not as bad as say, the Middle East, is not exactly a walk in the park. She probably at the time of writing didn't have many options, and everybody explores their sexuality in different ways. It's really messed up that you're calling the author a sex pest for describing her life, especially since she did nothing wrong (as in, her encounters were all consensual. again, don't fully know the laws regarding brothels there. i think it's a "we'll pretend we didn't see that" scenario)

This also kinda ties into the downright dangerous idea that an lgbt+ person, lesbians especially, can only be an innocent pure being. that kind of thinking can and HAS gotten people into horrible abuse scenarios

As for the "incest"... whoo boy, this is gonna be long:

Now, I have actually read this manga, and I can cite the pages with the supposed "incest" mentioned in the first pic. I'd elaborate, but I'm admittedly quite bad at that, so I'll let the comic speak for itself:

As you can see, the author does not LITERALLY want to fuck her mother. She has childhood issues from not enough affection (elaborated elsewhere in the book, but I'm tired. read it yourself. i got these pages from a definitely legal website, so can you), and wants to be held and coddled. She even straight up says what she feels is abnormal and yearns for a woman NOT RELATED TO HER to do things with. She KNOWS what she feels is strange and wants to (and eventually DOES) grow from this. I could post more images, but i'm probably pushing my luck as is

Point is, you "adults" really, REALLY need to learn that depiction is not the same as endorsement. Not everything is as cut and dry as the Marquis de Sade. This is, as the damn title says, the author's experience with loneliness as a result of growing up with an emotionally distant mother in a society that is markedly different than America

please, PLEASE, learn to think critically, and i mean "critical" in a "english class analysis" kind of way (for lack of a better term), not a "this thing you like is bad and it offends me" "critical." It's alright to be uncomfortable with things and even to not like things, hell I myself am a HUGE hater, but please, don't throw a tantrum because a real person wasn't a smol bean like you hoped

Author's Note and Transcript Under the Cut

(AN: Hello! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my fledgling fundie simblr. I’m by no means new to simblr, but because this blog and story is new, I figure an introduction is due.

So: hey, I’m Talia! I had another fundie simblr a few years back (it’s now inactive for a multitude of reasons), but like a certain someone, I have risen again! My fundie sims obsession was reignited over the summer after I joined a wonderful fundie sims-themed Discord server. Somehow they convinced me to make a new blog, and a few months later, here we are! In the intervening years I continued to lurk, so if you’re an active fundie simblr, I’m probably a fan of your story.

I’ve been playing the de la Cruz family for a while now and they have a special place in my heart- I can’t wait to share them with everyone else! Get ready for lots of God-honoring drama, mildly dubious baby names, and leopard-print modesty undershirts. Note that as the de la Cruzes are fundamentalists and this story is satire-heavy, there will be some viewpoints expressed that I very much disagree with. I’ll trigger tag certain sensitive subjects (e.g. physical violence, miscarriages) as ‘tw [thing]’ but fundie-typical bullshit will go untagged for the sake of my sanity.

Some basic housekeeping stuff to wrap up this far-too-long intro note: I have a queue full of posts ready to go, but I’m a busy student with unpleasant things like homework and AP classes, so I’m still not sure how frequently I’ll post. Every Sunday, Praising Him! features a family dedicated to spreading the Word. Today we meet the de la Cruzes, a San Sequoian family of 16.

When Alejandro and Alina (née Fletcher) de la Cruz married at nineteen, they could not have imagined what would come next! Over the past twenty-six years, the couple has made faith the centerpiece of their lives, and has continued to “Praise Him!” through the ups and downs of busy family life.

Alejandro, 45, works as a programmer at United Christian Publishers, and holds a Distinguished Degree in Computer Science from Foxbury Christian University. He began his journey into higher education not at 18, like many students, but at 26, shortly after the birth of his seventhborn, Cecilia! Owing to his unique circumstances, he chose to enroll in a six-year program that enabled him to work full-time as a freelance programmer in addition to his courseload. Though money was tight at times, the Lord provided, and Alejandro welcomed five bundles of joy (including a darling set of twins!) with wife Alina while enrolled at Foxbury. Whew!

Alina, 45, has chosen to fulfill God’s design for women by staying at home with her family. Raised in a devout household, she always knew He was calling her toward marriage and motherhood, and she says the “greatest blessing” in her life was the day she gave birth to her eldest son Gabriel, ten months after her wedding day and just shy of her twentieth birthday. In addition to raising and homeschooling the seven de la Cruz children who have yet to graduate, Alina is active in her church and in Institute for Strong Christian Standards (ISCS) circles, and enjoys spending time with her four (soon to be five!) beautiful grandbabies. A true Proverbs 31 woman if we’ve ever seen one!

You may recognize Gabriel de la Cruz and his lovely wife Esther, 23, from last summer’s print edition of Praising Him! At just 25, Gabriel is a rising star in the Christian legal world, coming to the aid of innocent Simericans simply trying to practice their faith. Ten months ago, they welcomed their first little girl, Abigail, and just last week they announced the upcoming arrival of their second child! Congratulations to them.

Althea Brown (née de la Cruz), 24, is following in her mother’s footsteps and proud of it! The young woman, who wed husband John-David, 28, three years ago, resides in Newcrest and is a content stay-at-home-mother of two.

Jasmine Booth (née de la Cruz), 23, known to friends and family as “Jazzy,” is enjoying the bliss of new parenthood alongside her husband of two years, Jason!

The first set of de la Cruz twins, Joshua and Sofia, 21, are both unattached and living at home. Sofia is pursuing a calling in missionary work, and Joshua is hard at work saving money and praying for his future family. “If you’re reading this as a young Christian woman,” Sofia jests, “have your father write into Praising Him! and I’ll set up a date with Josh!”

Caterina de la Cruz, 20, is diligently knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidering, and cross-stitching her way through her season of singleness! Though she prays every day for her Prince Charming (nonbelievers need not apply!), she assures Praising Him! that she’s quite content to assist her mother in running the busy de la Cruz household in the interim.

Cecilia de la Cruz, 18, the only unmarried de la Cruz not living at home, declined to comment.

The rest of the de la Cruz children, who range in age from 8 to 17, are kept busy with homeschooling, ISCS conferences, music practice, and Bible study.

Some Updates

I've been working hard over the past several weeks to get things prepped and ready to go, and I'm finally ready to talk about what I've been working on!

Patreon and Early-Access Content

Firstly, and probably most importantly, I've set up a Patreon! Worry not; exclusive content is not one of the benefits I offer, instead opting for early access content. Anything I post to Patreon will be made publicly available shortly thereafter, both on Patreon itself as well as in the new Projects channels in my Discord! No one should feel obligated to become a patron; if you have the cash to spare and want to support me and/or be able to see what I'm working on a little bit earlier than everyone else, that's when I would say becoming a patron is appropriate for you.

D&D Origins: Modularized

While the version of D&D Origins that's available on Modrinth is my pride and joy, the format I made it in doesn't allow much room for expansion; in its current form, its nearly 1,000 files make it rather resource-intensive, and I want to rectify that. This is why I plan on posting a modular version of the pack -- that is to say, a version where each race and each class are posted separately from each other, but will still work in conjunction with each other when combined. This allows for players to pick and choose the specific races and classes they want to be made available, whether for a single-player experience or a multi-player server. Additionally, this will allow me to create more content for the pack that can be very easily integrated with the existing material.

The first three race and class modules, as well as the Human and Commoner modules, have been posted to my Patreon and will be made publicly available in the #dnd-origins-modularized channel of my Discord one week from today. Thereafter, a race and class module will be posted on a bi-weekly basis, with Pokedex: Origins packs being posted on the off-weeks, and made available to the public one week after the initial posting.

Pokedex: Origins

Pokedex: Origins is, at least for now, in a state where I feel comfortable posting it! I still need to collect a handful of assets before I can post the companion mod to Modrinth, but I'm comfortable posting the individual evolutionary lines -- first to Patreon, and then to the #pokedex-origins channel in my Discord. The plan for now is to post the Generation I starters, followed by the evolutionary lines I created for playtesters, and then going in dex order. Patrons will have the ability to request specific 'mons be moved to the front of the queue, but everything will get made eventually. As mentioned above, I plan to post one evolutionary line on a bi-weekly basis, alternating with my D&D Origins: Modularized content.

You know how in fanon Jaster Mereel is a huge history nerd (occasionally about Jedi history?). What I mean is him and professor Obi-wan meeting and Jaster is a huge fan of his classes, he's considering retiring just so he can have the time to go to the lectures. Because the image of the Mand'alor getting all starry-eyed at, well, Obi-wan, who looks like a stuffy if kind professor is hilarious. They would get along so well, the convos about the most obscure history facts would never stop.

Seeking Bojza DR Help

NEXT Saturday (May 13th) a few people in my FC are tentatively hoping to clear the Bojza duty Delubrum Reginae, the 1-24 man duty that unlocks weekly quests for gold coins and the second region, Zadnor.

We've poked at it before but three of the four of us have some chronic health issues and DR is... intense. If you've only got a small party. Which has made it hard to get through the whole thing before we hit that pain threshold and have to stop.

Even thought there's a 10 min queue built in, this is fairly obscure content with quite a few steps to unlock. So there's just not that many people running DR on a whim and we can't usually expect randos to end up with us to help

So I'm putting feelers out to see if anyone would like to join us next week! I THINK that since world visiting is now a thing, anyone can team up, but I'm not 100% sure. At the very least folks in the Crystal DC should have no issues?

We're pretty chill, casual players but all four of us have cleared MSQ and have at least a couple classes up to 90, one of us is a Mentor - we're experienced! Plus we've got a tank and a healer, so you'd be welcome to play any class you like.

We're looking for friendly, patient folks to help us out! It will PROBABLY happen somewhere around 2-5pm US Eastern time - we really only have this window due to the wide time zone spread of our group, sorry!

If you don't have Bojza unlocked, it's a bit time consuming but not too difficult and has some really cool rewards. You'll have to rank up a bit to reach DR, but hopefully a week's notice gives anyone who wants to join but isn't there yet time to prep!

Hello friends, an announcement! ✨

If you’re wondering why I’ve been a little radio silent recently, it’s because I’m starting law school next month! (well actually just elective courses, I don’t start the real nitty gritty stuff until August) My queue usually stays pretty stocked bc i don’t work on Sundays and Mondays and I would sit and play for like 4 hours straight on those days 💀 but I probably definitely won’t have free time like that anymore.

Don’t worry! I have a lot of posts left. I think we’re good well into May actually, because I really wanted to set up the next gen before I have to not touch this game for a while. I also have free time the rest of this month, so I can keep writing new posts until I start classes. Whenever the queue eventually runs dry I cannot promise you when I’ll be back. I'm not going to be gone for months but updates definitely won’t be daily anymore.
