Hey! I have an idea for a Remus x fem!reader. They volunteer to babysit Neville and Harry(both James, Lily and Frank, Alice are ok) and kids try to set them up, get them to play games like Reader being a princess who they have to rescue and Remus - the knight, who has to kiss her (smth like Sleeping Beauty).

Laughter filled the Potter household as James hoisted his son, Harry, and the Longbottom’s boy, Neville onto his shoulders. Harry threw his fists into the air, obviously used to his father’s antics. Neville gripped onto James’ arm and held on for his life.

“Potter and Longbottom have done it again! The quidditch cup goes to Gryffindor! The crowd goes wild,” he yells, bouncing up and down as if he were celebrating a big win from back in his quidditch days.

“Inside voice, James Potter,” Lily remarked, entering the room with her purse in hand and James’ coat thrown over her shoulder. He groaned and rolled his eyes playfully. “Fine.”

The boys giggled as James pretended to drop them and quietly mimicked the loud murmur of a crowd.

Lily plopped her stuff down on the table and turned to Alice, who was making sure Neville had everything he needed in his bag.

“Okay, I’ve got all my stuff, Frank is laying out the boys’ pajamas, James cast a protective spell on the house, I think we’re good to go!” She turned to look at the clock on the wall. “Remus should be here any minute now.”

“Uncle Moony!” Harry cheered, having overheard his mom’s conversation. “He’ll give us lots of chocolate. Just don’t tell my mom,” he informed Neville who nodded his head eagerly, pretending to zip his lips shut.

Alice turned to Lily with a confused look on her face as she queried, “You asked Remus to babysit?”

James walked towards the pair and grabbed his coat from Lily, kissing her cheek. “Well yeah Alice, leaving them with Sirius would be as good as leaving them alone.”

“It’s not that, I just thought I was supposed to find someone to watch them. Y/n is on her way.”

“Aunt Y/n!” both the young boys cheered. They couldn’t believe their luck at having two babysitters instead of one. Alice, on the other hand, was not as pleased with her mess up. She brought her hands up and covered her face as her cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

“Hey, it’s not a big deal. Two for the price of one,” James joked, slipping his coat on. He paused momentarily. “Except we’re not paying them, right?”

"We might have to pay Y/n if Remus loads them up with sugar," Frank chuckled, entering the room and throwing his arm around his wife’s shoulder.

“Maybe the boys can play matchmaker,” Lily raised her eyebrows and smirked. “Give them that little push they need.”

“The one they’ve needed since third year?” Alice adds. A knock at the door had everyone’s heads turning. James turned to walk toward the door, but the boys beat him to it.

“We’ll get it!” Neville exclaimed, racing Harry to the door. They opened it and you scooped them up immediately, playfully tickling them.

“How are my favorite boys in the whole world?” you asked, pinching their cheeks which earned a groan from both of them.

“You better not let Moony hear you say that. He might get jealous,” James teased. You rolled your eyes at James and set the boys down. You had just stepped foot in his house and he was already teasing you about your crush.

“Well it’s a good thing he’s not here, isn’t it?”

Lily and Frank looked at you apologetically, Frank sucking in through his teeth. James and Alice shared a similar expression of holding back laughter.

Your face dropped. “What did you do?”

James grabbed you and pulled you into the kitchen, Lily following suit. “So there may have been a wee bit of confusion on our part,” Lily starts to explain.

“No no no, this is a good thing!” James started, attempting to keep the situation strictly positive. He gripped your shoulders and looked into your eyes as if he was about to give you a pep talk. “You get to be alone with Remus for a whole afternoon. When was the last time you two were alone together?”

Lily was about to chime in that they would be watching his son, not alone, when there was a knock at the door.

“There’s your Moony,” James teased. He smoothed out your hair, jokingly making sure you looked good for Remus. He had known about your little crush since third year, but he still acted as if it were a big deal.

“You see him all the time Y/n. Just act like you always do around him,” Lily rubbed your shoulder comfortingly, then exited the kitchen to greet the second babysitter. You turned to follow her but stopped momentarily to punch James in the arm.

Lily opened the door for Remus who kissed her on the cheek. “Where’s the little tyke? Haven’t seen him all week,” he moved into the living room looking for Harry but was met with another familiar face.

He straightened up at the sight of you, his features softening slightly as a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “I didn’t know you were fifth wheeling with these guys tonight,” he joked, butterflies filling his stomach as you laughed at him.

“I’m not. They’ve started a babysitters' club and were the only two members.”

Remus looked between the two couples who just shrugged at him.

“Do you four not communicate?” Remus scolded playfully. Hearing his voice, Harry ran into the room and jumped into his arms. Remus threw him in the air and you couldn’t help but smile.

“You’re lucky I like Remus,” you quipped. “Had it been someone else, I would’ve gone straight back out that door.”

James snuck a quick look at Remus and wiggled his eyebrows. He walked towards him and took Harry, all the while leaning in to whisper in his ear teasingly “She said she likes youuuu.”

Had James not been holding his son, Remus would have shoved him.

“I’m sorry you guys, I’ve just been so scatterbrained lately,” Lily apologized, kissing both of your cheeks in passing as she headed to the table to grab her purse.

You both reassured Lily that it was okay and both couples were ushered out of the door by their excited children.

“We love you, Harry, behave!”

“Mind your manners, Neville!”

The boys shut the door behind their parents and turned to each other. Neville winked at Harry in a way that looked a lot more like an exaggerated scrunch of his face. Harry nodded and scurried back into the living room, Neville a few steps behind him.

“Aunt Y/n, will you read to us?” Harry begged. Neville assisted by giving you the cutest pleading eyes you had ever seen. And although they looked adorable, you couldn’t help but think they were up to something.

You shot Remus a confused smile at the boy's behavior. He just shrugged his shoulders and chuckled. “Of course, she will. You boys go pick out a book.”

You giggled as they scurried away towards Harry’s room. You turned to Remus, who was already looking your way, a soft smile on his face. A blush ran up his face as he averted eye contact and rubbed the back of his neck.

“I can go make them a snack while you read,” he pointed his thumb over his shoulder in the direction of the kitchen. He wanted to stay and listen to your pretty voice, but he was discouraged at the idea of you catching him staring again.

“What? You don’t want to stay and hear me read the story they pick?” you pouted playfully.

Remus bit back a smile, pretending that he was having to think about it. On cue, the boys came running back in with their choice of book and settled on the couch beside you. They looked expectantly at Remus.

“Well, make room for me.” You met his eyes and smiled brightly at his statement. You grabbed the book from Harry’s little hands.

“Hmm, Sleeping Beauty. This is a very good pick.”

Harry and Neville snuggled into either side of you as you read. Remus observed the way you animatedly told the story. The way your lips moved with each word had him in a trance. It reminded him of how he used to sit in the library, hopelessly watching you study with a lovesick smile. He closed his eyes and imagined what it would be like if you read to him—just him.

Before he knew it, he was being shaken out of his trance by two eager little boys. The story was over and they needed something else to entertain them.

“Uncle Moony, will you please be the prince? Please please please?” Harry begged, holding his hands together in front of his face. Remus couldn’t help but scoff, seeing so much of his father in him. He looked at you for help as to what exactly they were asking him.

You giggle at the boys. “They want to play knights, Remus. They need a prince,” you playfully cleared up his confusion. He smiled at you and turned back to the boys.

“Oh, I see now,” he nodded his head in understanding. “And why do I have to be the prince?”

Harry and Neville shared a look as if the question was absurd. Remus could sense them growing impatient, so he stood up and allowed them to drag him away. He turned back to you and playfully mouthed ‘help’. You giggled and he couldn’t help the feeling of pride that came along with making you laugh.

Harry stopped and ran back towards you. He stood on his tiptoes and cupped his hand to the side of his mouth. You leaned down and craned your neck for him to whisper in your ear, a skill he hadn’t quite honed yet. “You’re the princess. Pretend to be in a deep sleep like Aurora.”

You pulled away and Remus held back a laugh as you wiped your ear. You mouthed an ‘OK’ and he ran back towards Remus to drag him away.

Once alone, you couldn’t help but ponder Remus’ question about having to be the prince. He was always like a prince to you. A blush creeps up your neck as you recall all the books you read about princes, and how you pictured them as Remus every time. The longer you thought about it, you realized that you pictured him as the love interest in every book you read.

You could hear them rustling around upstairs in Harry’s bedroom. You imagined how Remus looked playing along with them. How the sleeves of his sweater were pushed up. The way his eyes would crinkle as he laughed along with the boys. How soft his voice would get comforting them if they got hurt.

It got quiet for a moment, and you almost stood up to go check on them. Suddenly, there were three sets of footsteps running down the stairs. You quickly laid down and shut your eyes, trying to hold back a smile.

The ‘knights’ rushed in and kneeled at your side. Remus stayed back, standing in the doorway. His chest rose and fell in a soft sigh as he studied your ‘sleeping’ figure. He took advantage of the situation and allowed his eyes to linger. He noticed the corners of your mouth twitch and he felt his stomach do a flip.

Neville put his hand to your forehead to ‘check your pulse’, to which you could hear Remus softly blow air out of his nose. He moved from the doorway to kneel beside them whispering, “If only we had read a book that told us what to do to wake her up.”

“A kiss!” Neville exclaimed, earning a harsh shush from Harry. Neville giggled and whispered the same words again. Remus ruffled his hair and nodded down at the boy.

“That’s a good idea, Sir Neville. Try it and see if it works.”

You couldn’t help but smile at the soft voice Remus used with the boys. You always admired how the marauders played with Harry, but there was something extra special about the way Remus did it. He was so gentle and encouraging with them.

Neville began to lean in to kiss your cheek but was stopped by Harry’s small hand on his lips. He shot Neville a look that reminded Remus so much of the one Lily gave James when he says something stupid.

“True loves' kiss, Sir Neville! Remember?” he asked, the last word spoken through gritted teeth as if he was conveying something secret. Neville's face changed to one of understanding, before scooting over and making room. Harry turned to his beloved uncle Moony,

Remus’ eyes widened and his cheeks flushed immediately. His first thought was how much he wanted to, but his second was how much he couldn’t kiss you right now. Not while he’s playing pretend. This scenario had played out in his head over a thousand times and none of them involved children.

Remus shook his head and went to stand up, but Harry grabbed his hand. “But you’re the prince! You have to save the princess!”

You opened one eye and could visibly see how nervous poor Remus was. Since he had the boys’ attention, you took the opportunity to reach for his hand. He startled at the touch, then relaxed when your eyes met. You nodded at him softly as if to tell him it’s okay, just play along.

And you had meant that he could just pretend to kiss you. You figured he didn’t want to and was uncomfortable at the thought. That was not how Remus understood it. Remus took your actions as an okay to kiss you.

He blushed and squeezed between the two boys who were watching in anticipation. He leaned down so that his face was hovering over yours, and you felt his hair fall against your cheek.

Before you could start acting, you felt his lips graze the corner of your mouth. Your eyes snapped open as the younger boys both cheered. Remus pulled back suddenly and looked down at you horrified. Had you not wanted him to kiss you? You brought your hand up to touch the place his lips just had.

Before Remus could see your face break out into a smile, he abruptly stood. “Tell Y/n goodnight,” he stated, turning away from you and waiting. Both boys kissed your cheeks and followed Remus up to Harry’s room.

Remus entered the kitchen to see you sitting on the counter drinking out of a mug. You offered him one, but she shook his head. He didn’t want it to throw him off the apology he had just rehearsed over and over.

“I’m so sorry Y/n,” he started, running a stressed hand through his hair. “I don’t know why I thought that was okay. I clearly misinterpreted what you meant and I hope you can forgive me.”

“Mus,” you called softly. He turned to you, making eye contact for the first time since the kiss. “Come here.”

He walked towards you slowly, as if he were a scared animal. The smile you gave him has the crease between his eyebrows relaxing. You motioned for him to come closer. He listened to you and slotted himself between your legs.

You slowly moved your hand to the back of his neck, lightly running your fingers through his hair—something you had wanted to do since you felt it against your cheek earlier. The other hand rested on his broad shoulder. He leaned down and placed his head in the crook of your neck to hide his blush.

“If I didn’t want you to kiss me, I would have stopped the game.”

You felt Remus nod against your neck, his eyelashes tickling your skin. He places his hands on your waist, rubbing his thumbs slowly against the fabric of your sweater. He retracted his head from your neck, choosing instead to lean against your forehead.

“Can I do it again?” he whispered shakily. You could feel his breath against your lips as he looked at you with pleading eyes. You bit your lip and nodded. His hands tightened on your waist as he eagerly crashed his lips against yours. You tugged on his soft strands and he groaned against your lips, pulling you flush against him.

He pulled away with a sigh, keeping his eyes closed and resting his forehead against yours. He started laughing and you were brought back to reality. Your face grew hot and you removed your hands from his hair.

“What?” you pulled back to get a better look at him. He opened his eyes and shook his head, unable to control his laughter.

“Remus, what?” you whined. He brought his hands up to cup your face and kissed you softly again. This kiss was much shorter, but you felt the same amount of butterflies in your stomach.

“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that.”

"They kissed? Blimey, you exceeded my expectations kid," chuckled Sirius, handing Harry the new toy motorbike he had promised him for playing matchmaker.

“8 years. We tried to set them up for 8 years and my son does it in an afternoon.”

Sauron Mairon Halbrand y Alicent

I always make the joke that Sauron is Aule's daddy's boy and keep it canon. So I have an idea:

AU Where Sauron in human form ends up in Westeros and sees Yvanna. She is Yvanna, she is the wife of dad / Aule. She is mom. And mom is crying. And yes, I'm adding to the theory that Melkor's giant spider is from Lovecrath's universe, so crossovers are possible!

Sauron can't help. Here he is nobody and he has not recovered his powers. He is sickened by the mess, by the Targaryen traditions of marrying each other. Sauron notices that Mama is biting her nails. Mom should be happy and have trees. And mom should pay attention to it and be happy with those creepy trees with faces.

Alicent does not understand who gives her personalized jewelry with the theme of Mother and Maiden. She knows Sauron. "Hello my lady"

Sauron disguises himself as a cat to attend Alicent and Viserys' meetings. He is against Otto's plan, mom is fifteen years old. Fifteen fucking human years.

This can go two ways:

Sauron kills all the dragons because Alicent made a comment that while Syrax is beautiful she would never ride a dragon. Mom is afraid, now I have to protect her, be the man of the house because mom can't be married to another man who isn't dad.

Daemon boasts that he took Alicent's virginity and is killed by Sauron. Mom is from dad.

Sauron manages to find the equivalent of Aule in this world and cheats on the parents.

Alicent is very sure she is ready to have children after stopping Sauron from conquering Middle-earth.

Sauron takes the form of a child. More shenanigans to come, now he has everything he wants, for now.

Alicent and any poor man who is Aule in this universe, congratulations. Their son is a narcissistic sociopath who loves them with all his heart.

In another line, Alicent marries Viserys, but Mairon has not regained his power, so he cannot prevent his mother from being raped.

Sauron discovers that his siblings are nuisances, but they will give Mom more power. Mom is a goddess, a Valar, but also a 15-year-old girl.

So Sauron takes over Aegon, comforts Mum, tells Aegon he's a little shit worse than Curumo and Aegon's first word is shit.

Helena is born. And here she is different. Sauron hated Curumo for stealing Daddy's attention, but he respected Melian. He now has another sister, who is also a woman in a world of shit. But Heleana has magical potential, so he will teach her well. He will teach her to lie, to deceive, to put on makeup.

All of this happens while Sauron takes the form of a little boy so he can stay with the queen alone. Alicent hugs him and hugs from mom feel good. On one hand, Alicent recognizes that Mairon/Sauron has a connection. She loves him, she is his mother in all the universes. But her son is evil and she knows it. But he hasn't proven to be more evil than the other men.

Aemond is born and Sauron throws a tantrum. He doesn't want another brother and hates him as much as he hates Aegon for hogging Mom's attention. Then Daeron is born and Sauron screams because there is so much evil in the world! Criston Cole is horrible, but he makes mom happy. As long as he isn't platonic, Sauron will keep it. Suddenly, Sauron can shapeshift into a dragon. Since he hates Rhaenyra's bastards he plans to play a little prank at Laena's funeral. Nothing to go wrong. He just needs Aemond's help. Aemond claims a dragon and that dragon leads everyone to see Rhaenyra doing it with his uncle.

And shit breaks loose. Aemond is happy to have a dragon, the Velarions are angry, and Laenor calls for a duel against Daemon for his sister's honor.

Laenor wins and kills Daemon. Rhaenyra will go on trial for being an adulteress and Harwin will be her champion. Then Criston Cole kicks Harwin's ass. Heleana uses her magic to make Rhaenyra admit the truth about her bastards. Alicent rebukes Sauron because now there is a political mess and because his brother thought he had a dragon. "It was just a joke, mom, I didn't know it would go this far," she says with puppy dog eyes.

Seen how Sabro seems to love Baal, i think that the moment where he'll realize what his uncle already did, and what he plan will be very painful for him. And when he'll know what Baal plans to do to Iruma? it will be devasting. He'll be ready to fight to protect his friend-rival, even against his own family.

Yeah it's gonna break his

that his uncle, who's one the thirteen crowns, to repeatedly attack his class? Traumatise his friends? Plan on kidnapping his friend rival??

Poor guy won't be able to trust people for a while

And if the misfits find out, why should they trust any of the thirteen crowns? Obviously sullivan is an exception but the rest??

And some of them have a relationship with one of the thirteen crowns (alice and his mom, ameri and her dad)

That could create some kind of tension between them

The others dont want to say their parents may suspicious, but alice (and ameri?) Already know that's what they're thinking

And obviously iruma wont stop trusting his soulmate or his friend, which may go two ways

Iruma charms his way into making the class stop this nonsense

Or the class would devolve into a great fight that'll end up being an advantage for the enemy to win

I was actually worried for a sec that sabro might choose to help his family, but then i remembered how betraying his friends would be so uncool . Am i simplifying Sabro's character like that? Sure, but he did refuse his uncle's offer, the easiest way for him to become a demon king, on the basis that it was uncool. How would Visenya had done if she'd replaced or been a sibling to one of Alicent's kids rather than Aemmas?

Hi, anon!!

Assuming she still has her dreams, she remembers loving Rhaenyra. She remembers being close to Rhaenyra and trusting her and having her big sister’s support in everything she does. And then, in this life, she just…doesn’t. I know it’s a big thing between Team Black and Green fans whether Rhaenyra’s lack of relationship with the Green kids is her doing or Alicent’s, but I genuinely think it’s a little bit of both. So Visenya, as a Hightower, isn’t going to have any sort of relationship with Rhaenyra.

And she isn’t going to have nearly the same relationship with the Strong boys. I mean, they’re friendly enough, when they’re kids. Visenya is born right after Helaena, not much younger than her and Jace, and they aren’t really cruel to her. They just don’t really acknowledge her much, either. She isn’t Aegon, who has their hero worship, or Aemond, who they bully, so it’s just this vague “second cousin with a big age gap that you’ve only met once speaks to you at a family reunion”-esque type relationship.

Viserys has no interest in his Hightower kids, so she’s suddenly even more invisible to him than she’s ever been. He doesn’t give her as much slack as he does when she’s Aemma’s daughter, so things like just letting Vyper roam free aren’t going to be allowed.

Alicent is much different. I mean, she’s her mom. Visenya’s never had a mom before. It’s not arguable that Alicent isn’t always the best mother, but it’s undeniable that she does love her kids. Everything Alicent does is to protect her kids, even if she’s going about it the wrong way. So, here Visenya is, first time having a mother, and her mother is telling her that they’re in danger, that Rhaenyra being queen puts them all at risk, that she’s going to kill Visenya’s brothers and her big sister if they don’t get Aegon on the throne. And…why wouldn’t she believe her? Other Rhaenyra never would have hurt Other Visenya, but this Enya is very aware that people change drastically between lives. And if her mother is saying it, and Rhaenyra has never given her a reason not to believe it, she’s going to trust Alicent.

Her relationship with Helaena and the boys is largely the same, I think. Little differences but not big ones.

Our Visenya freezes on Driftmark because she can’t make herself choose a side. This Visenya has always had a side and has no reason to even worry about Jace and Luke, so she’s not just going to stand there while Aemond gets the shit kicked out of him. Now, Visenya also would have absolutely no weapons training in this life, so she mostly just also gets the shit kicked out of her. But she helps, a little.

She marries young, for sure (14-15). Rhaenyra’s deal with Jace and Helaena can also just be extended to Visenya, which is probably what Viserys suggests after Alicent betroths Aegon and Helaena (I am a firm believer that this only happened because Viserys gave her an ultimatum, but I digress). She’s got to get both of her daughters engaged to other people in order to keep them away from Rhaenyra’s bastards.

I don’t think it would be Aemond. They’ve already got one set of siblings engaged, which handles the blood purity aspect of it all, so Alicent has more wiggle room to convince Viserys into letting her engage her outside the family. A pure alliance match.

It is someone in the Crownlands, which allows her to still be in King’s Landing relatively often. It’s not a love match and she isn’t super happy, but he doesn’t beat her or anything so she just swallows her pride and takes the win.

Aemond is perfectly fine with all this, initially, because they still have their weird, Baelon induced resentment of each other at the time, but by the time he’s 13 and they’ve figured their shit out, he’s pissed as fuck. By the time she’s 14 and is getting married, he is a seething ball of jealous rage, and her husband has an unfortunate accident not long after the Dance begins. It is very sad for some people. Aemond is not one of them. Visenya is just Amused and they have a very dramatic conversation about it with lots of yelling and many elements involving The Repressed Sexuality of Two Catholic Children ™️ , but then she kisses him and kicks him in the leg at the same time and they figure it out.

Now that Luke and also Visenya’s husband is dead, she’s back home in the beginning stages of the war and, well. Alicent isn’t super happy about it but Visenya has a dragon that is, frankly, way faster than Vhagar and more vicious than Sunfyre, and she wants to help. Especially after Blood and Cheese. Visenya is inarguably a little bit insane after Blood and Cheese, because she’s freshly a widow just visiting her mother and sister when her nephew gets brutally murdered and her niece is brutalized, and we’re just going to leave it up in the air if Helaena and Visenya get SA’d because I don’t super want to think about it. Make your own decision.

So she’s like “I want to help” and Aegon says “no you’ll die” and she goes “fuck you” and they do this several times until Aegon finally says “ah fuck it, okay, please be careful, don’t die, i love you” and she does the Westeros equivalent of saluting him sarcastically and fucks off with Aemond to the Riverlands.

I would like to say that she reins him in and significantly less mass murder happens, but that’s just not what happens. She is traumatized and pissed off and wants to kill the world, and she’s probably at least a little bit insane, so she just goes “fifty points for that guy” and they kill a lot of people.

A lot of people.

Like, a lot.

Things go mostly the same, except she’s helping Aemond in his genocidal maniac era so significantly more people die. Alys Rivers doesn’t get spared because he’s already getting laid, but King’s Landing still gets taken, the Strongs all still die, etc etc.

And then Visenya dies at the God’s Eye.

Aemond is very clear when he leaves that she is supposed to stay behind and wait, he’s just gonna go kill their uncle and be back for dinner, and she waits like thirty minutes after he leaves before she gets on Vyper and goes after him. Just in case.

She’s just going to watch from a distance. Just to make sure. Just to be safe.

But when they disappear into the clouds…she follows. She just has a bad feeling, she can’t help it, Aemond can yell at her afterwards—

When she sees Daemon shooting straight down from above, a missile from hell, she interferes. Vyper smacks right into Caraxes’s side, knocks him off course, and Aemond is screaming at her from Vhagar’s back and Daemon is laughing, and three dragons fight instead of two.

It isn’t Vhagar’s throat that Caraxes sinks his teeth into. It’s Vyper’s wing, ripped straight off his body, and Visenya falls.

She thinks, for a moment, that it feels like flying.

Above her, Vhagar has Caraxes’s entire throat clamped in her jaws, his belly already ripped open, and Aemond’s howling so loudly that she can still hear it when she and Vyper hit the water.

She dies on impact, because no one in the Dance ever gets to have a happy ending, and it isn’t very long before Daemon and Caraxes fall to join her.

Aemond stays, though. In the air. Still screaming.

The Greens probably win the war, after that.

I'm soo obsessed with FMN I've binged it all in a few days! Poor Luke he truly did not deserve the hand he got, like so many in his situation 😭. Will he ever reunite with his bio mom in this world? Ik she basically abandoned him but if she ever finds out he got taken in by a fam with money I can def see her coming back. Also I remember that one of his foster dads was a major creep, spying on him naked & stuff, did anything further happen with that? Because maybe he can have testify with Alicent by his side to get more abusive ppl out. Daemon is surprisingly well adjusted for the modern era I'm impressed!

I'm so excited to see more of Owen. I'm guessing he's in jail (which is lucky bc Luke's fam can't get to him lol). I think it's very interesting and realistic with how blase Luke is to all the stuff he had to face. I realy get the feeling he knows it's wrong/not normal esp when we see his interactions with the kids. But bc he's essentially been so dehumanized throughout his life it seems like he's really internalized that he has go accept abuse as a normal thing. Does he expect his og fam to ever hurt him once the "illusion" of their dead son breaks? They did kinda back themselves intl a corner with that, at least until hos memories return. Anyways thanks for ur work!

The whole situation with Luke and his past foster father who had been spying on the kids isn’t something I’m going any further into until we’re more towards the end of the story. However, it’s implied that night ended in a fight which led to Luke being removed from the household.

Alicent helping get more creeps out of the foster system is such beautiful idea. A lot of healing is going to have to come first before Luke feels comfortable disclosing all of his past experiences in order to make it happen.

Daemon seems, well adjusted…but he’s still the same man who happily put down his life in hopes of winning the war for Nyra at his core. Daemon will always be the rouge prince at heart I’m afraid lmao.

There will be more of Owen, we’re coming up on reaching the halfway point in the story and Luke now has a therapist so expect more background to how that whole situation came to be as well as a deeper look into why Luke feels so much love for him besides what’s already been revealed.

Deep down, Luke knows the things that happened to him weren’t ok, but brushing over it all or even putting himself in a place of responsibility for his abuse is how he copes. Like you said, in the way he interacts with children and cares for their well-being its clear that he knows hurting children in that way is wrong no matter what. There’s a small moment in the pool party chapter where he’s genuinely worried that Daemon has put his hands on little Viserys and feels so protective until he’s assured nothing of the sort ever happened.

Luke fully expects to be left in the dust if he truly reveals his entire being rather than just the “nice” or “cool” parts because it’ll bring Rhaenyra back to the reality that he isn’t Lucerys. Sadly, such immense pressure will only lead to a blow up.

They did in fact fuck themselves by revealing that, but its too late now 😭

2022 TV Recap

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I wanted to bring back something I used to quite enjoy doing! Reviewing and ranking the best TV I watched in a given year, that is. I kept track of all the new TV I watched last year on Twitter with the intention of picking a top 10 or top 5 episodes at the end. But after giving it some thought, I want to try something a little different. Since the pool is actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be and I don’t particularly have the motivation to rank all the episodes anyway, I’ve decided it might be better if I simply recap and review the shows I watched last year and list a few standout episodes at the end! With that explanation out of the way, let’s get into it.

The Shows

This Is Us (Season 6)- One of the most talked about (and cried about) shows of the past decade came to an end in 2022, and I can honestly say it was pretty spectacular! The main focus of this season was how the Pearson family handled Rebecca’s declining health, and it was pretty effective. The performances all around were incredible, but I was especially stunned that Mandy Moore didn’t get her long overdue Emmy win or even a nomination! She’s long deserved it, and it’s a shame the show has ended without her getting that recognition. I know some fans said this season (particularly the finale) lacked some of the flashiness one might expect, especially considering how long they’d been planning this ending. But honestly, I can’t imagine a more perfect way to end this cozy, emotional family drama than what we got. Was it the best season of This Is Us overall? Maybe not. But it was certainly a very good one, and immensely satisfying in a number of different ways.

Ghosts (US) (Seasons 1B and 2A)- I decided to tune into Ghosts when it premiered in the fall of 2021 because it looked like a lot of fun and I’m a big fan of Rose McIver. Having never seen the British version, I didn’t quite know what to expect. I’m so glad I tuned in! The beginning of season 1 is a little bit rough around the edges. But as the show has grown into itself and found its own voice, it’s become a true delight! Throughout the second half of season 1 and first half of season 2, the show just kept getting funnier and sweeter! I love all the ghosts, I love Sam and Jay, and I’m excited to see what fun stories the writers come up with now that the B&B has been fully operational for a bit. If you like charming, hilarious stories about a group of people who love each other having wacky adventures, this show might be for you!

Good Trouble (Season 4)- Good Trouble continues to be one of the best shows not enough people are talking about. I know a lot of fans were nervous going into this season when it was announced that Maia Mitchell would be leaving, but I think the writers handled it very well. The Coterie crew still feels like the Coterie crew! One thing that stood out to me the most was the character growth. Everyone feels so grown up and mature compared to when we first met them 4 years ago! Alice standing up for herself and regaining her confidence as a performer! Malika figuring herself out and making smart career moves while also not losing the passion for social justice that makes her who she is! Davia standing up to her mom, setting boundaries in her relationships, and finally having the courage to stop beating around the bush with Dennis! Gael becoming a father!! There’s a lot to look forward to in season 5, including the resolution of that insane cliffhanger, and I can’t wait!

Raven’s Home (Season 5)- I’m actually...not fully caught up on Raven’s Home. Oops! But I have watched enough of the season to be able to say that I’ve really enjoyed it! I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel given the huge changes that were made and the absence of some beloved characters. I’m happy to say the show still brings a huge smile to my face! Ivy, Neil, and Alice are my children and they must be protected at all costs! And bringing Alana back as the principal was a brilliant choice!

So You Think You Can Dance (Season 17)- I enjoyed this season of SYTYCD. I did! I really liked the cast and there were some really great routines! Unfortunately, there were some things that disappointed me as well. For one, it was way too short. They’d been doing shorter seasons with smaller casts for a few years, but something about this season felt extra rushed and condensed. It felt like we barely had time to get to know the dancers before we were down to the final few. Additionally, as much as I tried to put a positive spin on it when it was first announced, limiting the voting to just the studio audience was not a great choice. If Fox can’t give SYTYCD the time and freedom it needs to truly live up to the potential of the format, maybe they shouldn’t have brought it back at all. That’s not to say I won’t be tuning in for season 18, which I assume is happening. Let’s hope the network hears the fans out!

Only Murders in the Building (Season 2)- I absolutely LOVED the first season of OMITB, and season 2 was also excellent! Funny, an acceptable amount of suspense, some great twists, and excellent character work! I’m not sure the mystery was quite as well crafted as the first season, but that didn’t make it any less engaging to watch. Really looking forward to season 3!

Reboot (Season 1)- As a TV nerd and a sitcom nerd specifically, there’s pretty much no way I wasn’t going to check this one out! It’s about the cast of a fictional sitcom from the 2000s coming back together to do a reboot. I expected it to be a silly good time, but it’s also surprisingly deep. It’s very funny, that’s for sure, but there’s also some great character work and satire going on, too. I recommend checking it out!

The Standout Episodes

“Kiss Me and Smile for Me” (Good Trouble 4x02)- How do you properly say goodbye to a character that’s been a huge part of your life for the better part of a decade? As a writer, as an actor, or as a fan? That was the task Good Trouble was presented with when Maia Mitchell decided she would be departing the role of Callie Adams Foster, and I think the writers did a very admirable job! The episode did a good job of closing this chapter of Callie’s life while making it clear that she has a very bright future ahead of her. From the goodbyes Callie got to have with each member of the Coterie crew, to the sometimes complicated but always heartwarming bond between the Adams Foster sisters, to the callback to Callie and Mariana’s first party at the Coterie, it was a truly lovely episode from start to finish! Callie Adams Foster will always be a very special character to me and watching her growth from the terrified teenager who didn’t believe she was worthy of love or a family to the confident woman who got on that plane to DC was incredible. I hope we get to see some more guest appearances before the show eventually ends!

“Miguel” and “The Train” (This Is Us 6x15 and 6x17)- Death and grief have always been themes that This Is Us has been pretty skilled at handling, but these two episodes took that to another level. First, we got “Miguel,” an immensely moving portrait of a character that never got the love he deserved from the fandom. I honestly believe Jack would be thrilled that his two best friends eventually ended up together. Miguel was there for Rebecca when she needed him the most and he was there was for her until his final days. And then there’s “The Train.” The fact that the show wasn’t nominated in multiple Emmy categories for this episode alone baffles me. Visually stunning, incredibly well written, and impeccably performed. Truly the sendoff Rebecca Pearson so richly deserved.

“Flipping the Pieces” (Only Murders in the Building 2x07)- It’s kind of hard to pick a favorite episode from OMITB season 2, but I think this one fits the bill. Mabel and Theo make a great duo, both comedically and dramatically! And I absolutely loved the metaphor of the puzzle pieces as it relates the repression of traumatic memories. The one thing I may have changed is the way Mabel kept talking at Theo even after he specifically told her he couldn’t pick up much of what she was saying just by reading her lips. But I get why the writers probably thought it was necessary and seeing her learn a little bit of ASL along the way was very sweet!

[GOLDENGATEGIRL]

The video begins with a warning, a content warning regarding suicide. We see two portraits of a man and a woman with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. The woman called the wrong number. Instead of her mom, we get Howard Melrose [as seen in WASHINGTONWANDERER, SUEZCANALCRAB, GIZAGUARDIAN, and LINCOLNLOOKER]. The two chat about the view. The woman seems to be "on top of the world." The two exchange names, Howard and Eunice [Eunice has been mentioned in the series, she's always the person Howard is trying to reach.]. Eunice asks Howard to call this number "whenever something exciting happens.", promising she'll "listen in Wonderland." Howard, now concerned, asks if she's okay. Eunice replies, "Thanks for talking to me, Howard! Call me later!" We hear the wind rushing and silence.

Eunice's full name is revealed, Eunice Dean. We cut to Jame's Dean, grief-stricken; he calls Montgomery Clift, saying that he "can't run." Dean believes that everyone is out to get him, that everyone wants to run him over, and that he's just "a dirty dog." He wants Clift to run, expressing that everyone loves him, "Everyone loves you, Monty!". Clift thinks it's silly, but Dean replies: "You're already a better President than I'll ever be."

We cut to a Presidential Announcement, Clift for President, and James Dean for VP. The video tells us that the YouTube channel's community tab will determine the outcome. Clift wins with 74% of the Vote in the following days, having decided by us, the viewers. --- [CTHONAUTC] A capsule fades onto the screen, with a diagram of a human in gear walking towards it, named "C.". Text appears, "MISSION OBJECTIVE: DETERMINE THE RATE OF AMERICAN WONDERLAND SYNDROME (AWS) in the Martian Serpent Metastructure." The capsule is loaded onto a space shuttle, the USS George Washington. "Releasing the Cthonaut Capsule now." The capsule floats toward a mangle of red tendrils, the Martian Serpent from MUSKMARS, more significant than ever. "Good luck in there." We're in a red version of Wonderland instead of its default black-and-white. The camera rotates, and a Tree starts glowing red, causing everything to turn black-and-white, the same Tree now glowing white. Cthonaut C. was transported back to Wonderland, and they send a message, "The spaghetti sent us home. We're in Wonderland. There's a child here too." We cut to drawings of Cthonaut C. and the child, simple drawings of C. feeding the child, playing with it, protecting it (There's a drawing of a Climber, disturbing), and loving it. However, a drawing shows us the child being struck by lightning from a Tree, "C. loses the child." Cthonaut C. finds paper and begins drawing their story. The screen cuts to text, "C. joins the child." We fade back to a video segment of WASHINGTONWANDERER, Melrose saying, "Our guy, Cthonaut C... He found a copy. It killed him." We hear Leonard repeat his words in ALCATRAZAPOCALYPSE, with diagrams of a woman and the child from Wonderland. "Remember me. For Virginia. For America." As he says this, the diagram's names appear: "Virginia Arnoldson" and "Everett Arnoldson." The drawing of the child distorts, and a blanket of text appears behind them. "American Wonderland Syndrome is characterized by an extreme distortion of physical attributes. The distortion is most commonly observed in individuals exposed to the Horner Serpent Metastructure, such as Cthonauts or Washington Absenteees. So when she receives her half brother attention, then their father arranges their marriage, Rhaenor agrees, this must be like dream comes true for Viserra, marry the man she loves and will be queen someday. Later, Serra discovers the hurtful truth. Her husband has a thing for her mother and when he give her his attention and agree to marry her, it doesnt mean he did it because he has romantically feelings for her, as she has for him.Its like Viserra is just a backup to Rhaenor. This hurts, really really hurts af. It broke Viserra and she kind of withdraw from her husband, busy herself with her duty as a Princess of DS, and her hobby (writting). She still does her duty as a wife to her husband (dutiful like her mother), but its just that, duty, and intently close her heart and try to stop loving/caring about Rhaenor. Rhaenor meanwhile, despite didnt really love her before their marriage, he starts growing feelings and finally in love with Viserra, only her, but by that time, she alrealy raise a wall between them.Rhaenor tries to win her heart, to prove his love for her, but Viserra sort of doesnt believe it, tell herself that its just delusion, Rhaenor doesnt love her like that….blunty tell in Rhaenor face thats she knows why he agree to marry her in the first place, so he doesnt need to pretend it with her. bonus if she has a kingsguard/swornshiled who is protective of her and them have an healthy platonic relationship…. The angst, tension, hurt, jealousy…. Woah…even mom/daughters relationship of Alicent/Viserra would be interesting to see…. Ugh, i want to read a fic with this plot huhu

Temptation Masterlist

Just before Charlie leaves we return from the woods. Bella and Edward see Charlie off

"Well done Bella. Never seen a newborn show that kind of restraint" Jasper smiles

"I'm not sure she is a newborn. She so tame"

"Emmett, no" I nudge him

"Emmett don't antagonise her. She's the strongest one in the house"

"Please" Emmett snorts while cracking his knuckles. Of course this ends up becoming a challenge. Emmett carries over a huge rock for Bella and him to arm wrestle

"Don't hurt yourself Emmett" Edward says as the others come to join us. I stand next to Jasper and Alice

"Alright on 3. 1, 2, 3" Jasper counts down and so the arm wrestle begins. Emmett seems to be struggling and Bella wins

"Did you see that?" Bella smiles and hits the rock. Defeated Emmett walks over to me in a sulk. Bella walks off from the group

"You'll be the strongest one again soon" I pull him in for a hug "it could be worse"

"How?"

"You could be me" I laugh "the weakest, the slowest, the.."

"The one who can smell and hear better. You beat us in some things as well. And you have a feeling when somethings going to happen. Plus your the most beautiful woman ever"

"Your cute"

"Just cute" Emmett raises an eyebrow making me laugh.

Over the next couple of weeks Renesmee grows more and more each day, all of us worried with how much time we will actually have with her. Today Jacob, Bella and Renesmee have gone out to play with the snow. That is until they rush home

"Tanya convinced Irina to come reconcile with us" Carlisle says ending his phone call

"It looks like she changed her mind"

"Seeing Jacob must have been to much for her" Esme states

"Wish I could have just spoken to her"

"Shes family. She'll come around" Carlisle puts his arm around Esme. I lean on Emmetts shoulder as Edward and Renesmee play the piano. I get a feeling that Alice is about to have a vision so I rush over to her as she walks in holding a vase. Alice's eyes glaze over. I catch the flowers before she drops them. Jasper is by Alice's side in a split second

"Alice what is it?" he asks. I place the vase down on the top of the piano

"The Volturi. They're coming for us" my eyes widen in fear "Aro, Caius, Marcus, the guard.. and Irina"

"Honey come here" Renesmee goes over to bella who pulls her close to her

"Why?" I ask

"What did Irina see in the woods" Edward now asks

"We we're just walking"

"Ness was catching snowflakes" Jake continues

"Of course" Edward says in realisation, I'm guessing his read Jacobs mind "Irina thinks Renesmees an immortal child"

"What?" Bella frowns

"Let me show you" Carlisle takes Bella to our library, the rest of us following except for Rose who watches Ness.

"Immortal children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. "Well Renesmee's nothing like those children. She was born not bitten she grows every single day"

"Emmett" I scold "but you are right. They won't listen to us, but they might if there's more of us, witnesses" I look at Carlisle to see if he agrees

"Carlisle you have friends all around the world" Edward also looks at Carlisle

"I won't ask them to fight" he stands with his arms crossed over his chest

"No not fight. Witness. Kat actually could be on to something"

"They only have to see that she has blood in her vains and her hear her heart beat" I get out of emmetts grip and walk over to Carlisle "if enough people agree, maybe then the Volturi will listen"

"We can ask this of our friends" Esme places a hand on Carlisles arm. He agrees then nods his head

"Do you think Garret will listen?" I ask referring to an old friend of Carlisle. Emmett and I met him years ago at our wedding

"I'm sure he will. I'll get plane tickets for the morning. You need to go and sleep" I nod my head and walk over to Bella

"We will figure this out" I place a hand on her shoulder giving it a reassuring squeeze.

Think I finally figured what was holding me back about chapter 6!

IT'S DUMBLEDORE!!!!! (it's always this asshole)!!!!

REASONS...doubts..word vomiting rambling

It was a combination of things. I felt Voldemort's overall agenga, and acts in the books were a bit too mild and his reasoning flatter than hell. He had no soul, not just because he torn himself apart.

Also... Dumbledore, his death...I have decided. The reason he knew Tom had made Horcruxes, wasn't as good natured as we had thought. Takes one to know one. He is not exactly the Light character he was painted out to be. He had hidden darkness. Perhaps, he is the true Dark Lord and Tom, is merely his puppet. To help make himself look good. Like what happened with Grindlewald when he was 'forced' to defeat him.

Truth is...the MoM pressured him to do it by monitoring him and taking his position: DADA from him. This is also, his reasoning from preventing Tom to becoming the DADA professor.

He wanted the young man (TOM RIDDLE) needed to grow up away from the school. He felt his charisma would overpower his own influence over the students, and he wasn't sure of Tom's motivation. Since, he couldn't pushed to be on his side. There was always animosity there. He was an oposition he couldn't afford to have in his way of his agenda.

For it was Albus' fault that James and Lily died. He knew the prophecy was overheard by Snape and who he would tell. He wanted him to tell Voldemort. To give him a target that wasn't himself.

It was a strategic decision to give Voldemort an enemy that would mark him for death. All prophecies are Self-fullfilling. Meaning if Voldemort placed no value on it, the events that unfolded could have been avoided.

Dumbledore knew who the possible targets would implicate: a child of Lily or Alice. He also knew that Voldemort would place more value in a wizard that could be seen as his equal (halfblood)!

Half-bloods are known to be more powerful than Muggleborn and Pureblood, alike. Dumbledore, Snape, Harry and Voldemort are all halfblood. Both Voldemort and Dumbledore believe Snape to be their man. Harry sees Snape as Voldemort's man. Snape in all actuallity is Harry's man.

Snape will do everything in his power to keep Harry safe, due to his love for his mother: Lily and a unbreakable vow heade to Dumbledore to convince him to try to save Lily, after he begged Voldemort to spare her.

After Lily was killed Dumbledore told Snape he trusted the wrong person to protect her: he believed he meant Voldemort because he begged him to not kill her, but in all actuallity he was also talking about himself. Dumbledore planned everything out to work out the way it did.

Not to an exact science, but enough to manipulate all of those around him. He had changed his personality after defeating Grindlewald to a more unsuspecting character type. One that wouldn't be interpreted as a threat. Just a kindly dodgy old man.

An old man, Tom saw through because they were almost like looking back in a mirror. It's the reason why Dumbledore found him easily to manipulate. He needed a new FOE to rise after he defeated his ex lover: Grindlewald.

So he helped push Voldemort to the measures he took. Voldemort, just never saw him as calculating and manipulative. He never shown his cards except one time, after his defeat of Grindlewald. It was too brief for Tom to realize what the interaction meant.

Soooooo...after making these HARD decisions: My heart feels much lighter!

I always felt Voldemort's character was much too flat to sustain anything long term. So even if he won, it would have been a short lived win.

Now it's just: Voldemort needs to take over MoM and I think I need to give something away about Dumbledore. That he isn't all love and light as people had made him out to be.

Soooo...that leaves Harry's birthday, Yesssssss....I.will have Scrimigor come and read the new will and testament of Albus WB Dumbledore. It won't be the same as the books/movies. I'm making some drastic changes from here on out.

Same goes for X-men side of things. Hermione will stop Magneto from going on with his plans to make nomajs into mutants. Her subconscious...that already lived in a timeline that had the death of the senator...also saw the world overthrown by Voldemort. So, she would do everything in her power to prevent things from happening that way.

So...then, it means Magneto/Xavier and the X-men will be going to London right as ICW places a travel ban on the Wizarding World (They do not prevent muggle transport; they inform the public it is within the best interest to not get involved with the war in Britian)!

Now it's just....where do I begin? Now that these thoughts are solidified in my mind. I need to pick a spot to begin chapter 6!

PLANS...plots...devices: will this all fit in chapter 6...propbably not..haha may be part of 7 and 8 as well.

Harry's Birthday. Who comes: Mcgnagall, Flitwick, Hagrid, Adromeda, Ted, Tonks, Remus, Mad Eye, Molly, Ron, Luna, Neville, Seamus, Twins, Ginny, Percy, Bill, Charlie, Arthur, Molly and Minister of Magic: Scrimigor (Reads Dumbledore's and Sirius' will).

Mystique brings Senator Kelly to Brotherhood Island base and the X-men save Rogue from Avalanche.

VOLDEMORT takes over MoM (taunting Harry on the night of his Birthday) as he MURDERS Scrimigor in cold blood. Escalating the war and postponing the Weasley/Delacour wedding.

Thickness' imperio wears off after the death of Scrimigor. So Voldmort elevates UMBRIDGE to Minister of Magic, as she has a racist agenda that goes in line with majority of his following, and she is a HALFBLOOD (who hates her tainted muggle side just as much as Voldemort).

Hermione prevents Magneto from using his machine on Senator Kelly.

Voldemort's MoM/Death Eaters team up and they begin to wage war on Muggles/Muggleborns. A price is placed on the Heads of Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. (despite Hermione not being in London).

ICW ENACTS A TRAVEL BANN. POSTPONING ALL PLANS TO HELP MUTANT KIND AS ALL EFFORTS ARE NOW SECURING MUGGLES/NOMAJS DO NOT LEARN OF THE WIZARDING WAR.

Mad Eye is Dumbledore's man through and through. He will take Harry (and whoever tags along) to a secure location. Keeping him out of the Wizarding war for the time being.

George finally helps Harry with Hermione's notes. They discover lots more than they bargained for in those notes. Information not only on Voldemort but Dumbledore as well. These notes cause Harry to go into fits of rage which opens his mind to Voldemort. Which means TROUBLE in all caps.

Hermione is determined to leave NEW YORK to help Harry so...The future scene I planned will come into play.

My First Dip Into RPF

Or, a story I've been working on for a while at this point. So, here's the idea! I'd like you to meet...

Isabelle Letang!

Isabelle Desiree Alice Olivia Letang - born January 15th 1994, is the younger sister of Penguins defenceman Kris Letang. She's seven years younger, and was eleven when he was drafted.

A lifelong Canadiens fan, but threw all her Habs merch out once the family got home from the draft in Ottawa, replacing it gradually with Penguins merch. Her loyalties to her old team ended when Kris put his jersey on.

She is very much the apple of Kris' eye, and can basically do no wrong in his eyes, he is also very protective of her. The duo are incredibly close, even into adulthood.

Kris calls her 'mon etoile' or 'my star' - and has since she was little. Only Kris is allowed to call her this, though. As many have learned the hard way.

An academic at heart, Isabelle is a straight A student through both high school and during her time at Boston College - where she studied law. She was on both Student Union and Debate Team, plays tennis, and piano as well.

The siblings always support each other, even if it has to be from afar. But, Isabelle has dealt with an inferiority complex on and off regarding her achievements against his.

Graduates with her law degree in 2016, a fortnight after her brother wins his second cup. She was also in class when Kris had his first stroke, Sid flew her out.

By the way, Sid, Geno, Flower, and the boys adore her. And, she becomes fast friends with Taylor Crosby.

Not a big social butterfly, preferring a night in with a good movie over parties and bar hopping.

A cat mom, adopting a ragdoll kitten she names Lily in 2020.

She and Kris could very easily be twins, they're the spitting image of each other. People are often surprised at the age gap. Generally, though, Isabelle is the sugar to her brother's spice.

Goes through a bitter divorce with her cheating husband in late 2023, while pregnant with her son. She represents herself the whole way.

She remarries in about 2026, to a childhood friend she reconnected with in Pittsburgh. Finally, an SO she has that her brother actually approves of.

Nicknames

Kris - Isa, mon etoile (my star in French), princess

Sid, Geno, Flower - Isa, Belle (Flower only), sister, zainka (little rabbit in Russian, Geno only). The wider team just stick to 'Isa'. The younger Pens sometimes call her 'Ace' for her love of tennis, and referencing Ace Attorney. Erik gets Isa privileges in November 2023. Kunitz used to call her 'Tangerette' sometimes.

Summary: You didn't know how Aemond would react to you giving birth to a girl, as everyone around him voiced their preference of a male child.

WARNINGS: mostly fluff, misogyny(?), slight angst, dad aemond, pregnancy, birth, reader is baratheon although there is no physical description.

After the war had ended, with the greens winning, your betrothal to the Prince had gone as it was planned, though he did not come to visit storm's end once after the incident with his nephew, since the realm plunged into war immediately, he still wrote to you.

Telling you about his victories, you frankly did not expect him to be so interested in you, considering how he did not seem interested when he had first visited.

You both were married in the sept in front of many, but especially your family and his, the septon prayed to the seven, wishing you both a prosperous marriage.

He had been gentle that night, refusing the bedding ceremony to protect your honour, he took his time with you, letting you get comfortable with him before he did anything, he would constantly ask if you were okay with what he was doing, respecting and worshipping your body, pouring all his love into you.

And soon you were with child.

You did not know what to expect during pregnancy, having been new to it, there would be nights when you would wake up and sob, the anxiety of not being able to be a good mother plaguing your mind, but Aemond would reassure you.

“Lord hightower.” You bowed a little to show respect to the hand of the king and he nodded his head, so you raised your head back, he gave you a tight lipped smile, “How is the babe, Lady Baratheon?” he asked, “The maesters had said it was healthy, and I can expect to go into labour anytime soon.” you reply, and Otto nods his head, “I hope he is born healthy.” Otto says and your hand twitches slightly.

“We do not know if it is a male, my Lord.” You intersect, hoping not to offend him. “It should be, as men carry on the legacy, even if it isn't, you always have a next time, I feel Aemond would be disappointed with a girl.” he says and you take deep breath, “I see, let's hope it is a male then.” you look down, saying it quietly, he nods and then leaves, and you put a hand on your swollen belly, trying to calm your nerves down. You wondered if Aemond would be really displeased with you if it wasn't a boy.

You were on your way to your chambers until you heard voices of what seemed like Alicent and Aemond.

“Do you not want a boy son? A male child will be the one to carry your legacy, not a female, let us pray that the babe is a boy.” Alicent says and Aemond is quiet before he hums, “A boy would be good.” you did not want to listen anymore, and stopped intruding on their conversation, walking swiftly to your chambers, and breaking down.

“—but it isn't up to us mother, I do not mind a girl as well, for the fact that she will still be my offspring, my child. I would love them both equally.” he finishes his sentence and Alicent smiles at him, “You're right, it seems I have been spending too much time with your grandsire." She rubbed his arm reassuringly, thanking the gods for letting at least one of her sons turn out right, though he was a kinslayer.

Yet you did not hear any of the later conversation, and you didn't address or voice your concerns to Aemond as you thought he would reprimand you.

And then you went into labour.

After what seems like hours of agonising pain, the babe was finally born, bringing you relief, as you breathed heavily, the midwives cut the umbilical cord, before cleaning the babe.

The door slammed open as Aemond stood there shock and in panic, he had waited outside for way too long, but the moment he heard the babe's cries, he couldn't hold himself back, the maester was confused and the midwives gasped, they quickly came over to you and covered you appropriately.

“Your grace, it is too soon for you to enter-” the maester begins but Aemond cuts him off, “I do not give a shit.”

The babe is then given to you, wrapped in a cloth, and you welcome it with open arms, smiling at the way it coos, tears welling up in your eyes as you notice the head of platinum blonde hair strands, knowing that it took after the father, the midwives help the babe latch onto your breast, letting you feed it.

“It is a girl, your grace.” The maester says and silence fills the room, and you hold your child tightly to you, in fear, fear that you disappointed Aemond, fear that she might not be loved, and the longer Aemond stays silent, the more anxious you become.

That was until a big smile broke on his face. He rushes over to your side and looks at the child in so much adoration, and you watch him confused, “Are you not disappointed?” you ask him hoarsely, “Why would I be?” he asks you, eyebrows furrowed.

“It is not a male, and your legacy cannot be carried on unless we have a male.” you say weakly and he looks at you shocked, “What nonsense are you speaking, my dear? She is our child, my legacy, as long as my blood flows inside her, she will pass it along just as a boy would.” he says, “Besides, my concern is never directed towards the gender of the babe, all that I care about is your well being, and— whether my child is healthy.” his gaze softens when he looks at her, index finger rubbing her cheek, as she suckles on your breast.

“My precious little girl.” he says, tone tender and loving as he gazes upon his daughter, so much love pouring from him.

“Our.” you mumble and he chuckles, “Yes, our precious girl.” He places a small kiss on your forehead, “You did well my wife, thank you so much.” You felt so loved.

“What do you want to name her?” You ask him and he seems to be in thought, “Visenya.” he speaks.

“Like your ancestor, the Queen?”

“Yes, Visenya Targaryen.”

Just then the baby coos as if in agreement, making you and him chuckle.

Aemond Targaryen was known to be a cruel, cold hearted, intimidating man, but in the comfort of his chambers, with you and his daughter, he was a completely different person.

my turn to cry - thoughts on 3-1b

ok this has actually gotta be my favorite chapter cause holy shit so much stuff happened.

I played the Alice/kanna route and afterwards I watched a vod with the reko/shin route in which ranmaru and naomichi died before the banquet, so BIG SPOILER WARNING FOR BOTH ROUTES

Mafia Princess Sara??: Ok so first off, back in the beginning of 2020, I had a theory that Sara was a mafia heiress and that the death game was supposed to be something to “prepare” her. And that her memories were wiped or she was initially supposed to be kept blind to this whole thing (In 3-1a when everybody saw the consent form for the very first time everybody felt a sense of deja vu, except for Sara. Because why would they need her consent when she is the sole focus of the game and it’s all for her) This theory was mainly supplied by my confusion surrounding the hiring of Kai, cause why would mr Chidouin hire a former assassin to protect her?? How did he even know Kai??? But yeah, the whole thing with Shinobu Gokujo and deciding a new don through a death game just adds a lil more validity to this theory.

Sara’s real father: I also had a mini theory that Gashu Satou was her real father, but that was mostly cause of their hair color and how it would def make Sara’s hair color make more sense genetics-wise (but kai has black hair, so its most likely that his mother had black hair, which would also disprove this mini-theory but yk im not here to prove it just talk about it). And that Gashu knew of Mr. Chidouin and gave Sara to him, and it would also explain why mr Chidouin chose Kai of all people to look after her and why Kai could only watch her from a distance, in case she realized the truth that he was her brother/half-brother or something.

GREENBLINGS CANON AAAAAAAA: I love this, I love this so much oh my god. Now I can replay and cry after 2-2 cause nankidai hates us :’). I dont have an issue with this specifically, I’m just a bit bothered by how the whole thing went. There was some buildup yea, and the cg with kanna, kugie, and shin was amazing. And that lil bit about nice hallucinations made me tear up a bit. But, then everybody kinda just moved on? and idk this whole chapter was a fuckign roller coaster I could barely keep up.

Autistic Gin <3: I’m autistic myself and I have seen many characters who are autistic-coded or exhibit many signs of autism but have never been straight up confirmed (Ex: Vera Misham from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney). And even then, these characters usually share similar personality traits like being aloof and reserved. So it’s nice to see that Gin is representing autism in a relatively realistic manner with his hyperfixations, vocal tics, and issues with socializing. Even after nearly dying like 17 times he’s still doing well and I genuinely wish for his survival and happiness.

Ranmaru’s death: Both of Ranmaru’s deaths, (if you or if you don’t fail the electricity absorption minigame) the death feels so... off? I was really attached to him as a character, yet his death didn’t impact as much as Joe’s or Nao’s did. During his Banquet death, one second he had his really cute smiling sprite but then whoops oh no guys weird drill screw thing kills him (again). I still can barely comprehend it because it all just happened so fast. Like no cg or anything. I was honestly kinda disappointed. The “delayed” one does a better job at his death scene, but again, it was wayyy too quick and completely dismissed as everybody just moves on to defeat Maple 2.0. I at least would’ve appreciated a better transition than Midori just saying “well anyways–”

Ranmaru’s extremely quick descent into madness in the shin route: I actually liked this idea of Ranmaru willing to go to such extremes for Sara. However, theres barely time for any of this to develop? Like again, everything just happens so fast??? I would've definitely liked if there were little hints around before the body discovery that ranmaru was gonna do something like this, just a little time for development would really be cool.

Mr. Policeman/Mr. Tazuna???: After I finished, I actually looked on the wiki to see if it said anything about his son that he mentioned and I found this:

The thing about Q-taro: I’m gonna say it now, I’ve liked Q-taro ever since the aftermath of 1-2, and Q-taro haters have added absolutely nothing to this fandom. Everybody saw him as a child-hater, I see him as a guy who’ll do anything to survive and succeed. I mean that wish is kinda what got him into the death game. And yeah he did try to leave that one time, but that’s what getting thrown into traumatic killing games does for you, most people don’t want to die, they want to live, no matter what it takes. We can’t all be the main character and choose to cooperate with everybody and be the “good” person in that situation. Even Sara has those extremely selfish moments and those intrusive thoughts of winning and leaving.

This whole thing should also be applied to Ranmaru. Ranmaru has gone through so much shit in such a brief amount of time, to the point where he was considering to/actually kill people to escape with the one person he trusted in this hellhole. In that situation, Sara’s kinda at fault here, cause without Joe she’s lost her sense of morality which resulted in her becoming selfish and well... honestly kinda toxic. This emotional manipulation is really what set Ranmaru off, however it was 100% his decision to fucking kill somebody and murder’s bad. Still love him though.

But back to Qtaro, I really enjoyed the extra substance given to him in this chapter, it’s nice to see the development from being selfish to feeling deep remorse to protecting the dolls of the first trial victims, most notably Mai. As he completely forgives her for stabbing him. The chapter did a great job at fueling my already intense love for Q-taro (and it actually convinced my best friend who claims to hate Q-taro with every bone of her body to like him too!) I also love the father-son dynamic between him and Gin. I find this relationship to be really important cause Gin’s father is an abusive alcoholic and Q-taro’s an orphan who’s never had a proper role-model in his life. So it’s beautiful that despite not having anybody there for him when he was younger he can still be a good figure for another child.

Predictions/hopes for the next part:

I just want to see whether Shin already knew about Kanna being his sister, and if he doesn’t I want a reveal. Right. Now.

I really hope that there isn't any specific good/bad ending. Like I want every ending to be equally bad and good yk? like equal consequences and good stuff.

Yo wtf happened to Sara’s mom?? Is she gonna come back and play a more important role in the story?? Are her parents gonna come back as floor masters???

I want things to actually change depending on whether you picked Alice or reko, cause so far they’ve played extremely minor roles.
