my favorite part of the Green Arrow lore is that Ollie constantly tells his kids to shoot him. If they're being mind controlled, confused or for any reason, his go to strategy is to go "sweetie, would shooting me make you feel better? if so, you can do it, it's fine" and it always causes the kid to snap back to reality. Ollie is the og "the real you would never pass a chance to die" and his family is always so repulsed by the idea of hurting him that they come back to their senses.

I know it has its problems but will any comic book ever start as hard as Green Arrow Vol.3 did? Ollie came back to life because his best friend achieved god status and decided what the world needed was Oliver Queen. Green Arrow inspired a Mia to save herself, stab her abuser and then she proceeded to reverse adopt herself into his family. Ollie was queerbaited. Connor awakened psychic powers that told him Ollie was back and that was never brought up again.
