My favourite thing about the 1990 TMNT film turned out to be that April and Casey being definitely adult and carrying a lot of the plot gave them an air of providing foster care for these teens while their dad was missing.

I love Rise April with my whole heart, but more adult Aprils should feel parental. It's a cute dynamic.

I’m gonna be alone for Thanksgiving because reasons, so maybe I’ll convince myself to sit still long enough to do a speed-skim of s1-s4 to investigate some patterns I’ve grown suspicious of:

I’ve actually thought about this for a long time but been like “it’s probably not that deep,” but then I remembered that someone once did a deep dive of which is Viren’s dominant hand in particular scenes to make a point about when Aaravos is controlling him and was like “you know what, even if it’s not that deep no one is gonna question the fact that you did it” lmao

Nothing quite like getting abruptly jerked awake because a VERY CHEERFUL song you like came on the shuffled playlist and positive-triggered you out, only to realize after about 2.5 seconds that the guy who was driving just a minute ago was NOT having a good time. And realizing this specifically because you can still see some of his memories because he is still awake. And they are absolutely fucking horrific memories.

Like...I have absolutely zero memory of the memories he is thinking of but I got no reason to think he made them up. We do still have that vase.
