The wrong DNA test

( what if, Sheila wasn't really Jason's mother? The system is already corrupted, then what about the test?).

A huge brawl containing every rogue had started at the time of Halloween, causing the people from downtown to fled there home's as joker had clownized the whole neighborhood with his goon's.

Every bats had taken to groups to take out the three parts of Gotham's as the rogue's had started to make alliances, some had lasted quite long while had conflicts, and causing a big damage to Arkham asylum,

It didn't take long before they captured all of them, none of the bats questions as they observed Jason glowing green eyes starting to flick, they thought it was the pit again, growing wary of the cooperation, but Crime alley was involved and that mean business to Red hood's turf.

Catherine todd love her son as her own even if not biological, Jason knew that. But her thing with drugs couldn't make her stop.

Sometimes after that, they could hear Jason humming a tune,a nice melody from Damian's statement saying that Jason muttered to him “ lullaby” as Jason continued to read his book, maybe it could be from Catherine,

they knew how Jason's past with Catherine todd, his mom even if not related, Catherine loves her son like her own kid but her doing drugs and... overdosing couldn't be stop.

Maybe Jason just remembered his mother maybe reminiscing atleast something familiar...even if it was a bad time.

Jason had constantly have been hearing a woman's? Man's? Voice, singing him a lullaby...it soothing, like as if he known and loved this melody...and that's where the dreams kept coming, there was a person, giving him kisses, Talkin to him stories, singing him lullabies and soothing him, he could dream that he was actually a baby, a baby from a normal couple, well don't count the luxurious baby room.

Jason had took out a conspiracies why he was getting this dreams, ( he swears he's not becoming Tim) and voices, maybe like a misshapen memories from the pits of victims? No it's to peaceful for that, maybe magic? He already contacted Constantine but surely hang up after knowing who it was-

Just how is he getting this dreams? Unless it wasn't.... So he proved again his point, he started a DNA test, again but none had records...of Sheila being his biological mother...that was weird, last time he had a test was from the time as robin..and before his-

So he went to that hospital who had said where Sheila had given birth to him, and most of shock is that no one knows a mother giving birth named Sheila haywood but had a document of a baby, of one Jason jay nightingale, the most believing part was that it's the same day he was born in.

His mother, Daniel F. Nightingale was said to be trans as the doctor who help his mother safely delivered him, And saying that his mother loved him,

one Sheila Haywood had the constant trick to get him and taken him as his own, because his mother's family was a wealthy one they practically sold him to her.

Jason had thought that maybe his mother's family never wanted him to have a son with a man from Gotham's crime alley.

Meanwhile Danny had just been YEETED to the DC universe before the start of Batman's justice thing and had been adopted by a very wealthy fruit loops couple as there kid, so he stayed as the couples daughter even pretending, because he owed ghost writer a favor for the last time, and as DC universe exist so it's story, and one thing for sure the child he had to give birth in this universe has a very complicated fate,

he did the one night stand from his supposed friend Willis Todd? He had to befriend him as Dalia F. nightingale the supposed Wealthy daughter who fell in love with a peasant trope, and gotten pregnant making it a scandal, and reaching to his ‘parents’ circle and getting that drama.

But he never thought he would care for his child, his little jay, his ghost side would purr in delight when they held Jason, he was a very hard sucker especially from his pacifier or his breast, it's so weird being in a women body,

but the way his ‘parents’ sold his son to the women who was supposed to get his son killed and being revived by cheap parody ass of ectoplasm.

He went feral, he had an argument to his ‘parents’ but all fell deaf ears, he couldn't find his son in one of the hotels nearby where that BXtch was.

And that time was where his part of the script was fulfilled, ghost writer already took him, both sides of his, were angry.

The latest dispute to reach a federal appeals court arose when parents Stephen Foote and Marissa Silvestri sued a range of government entities and officials affiliated with the Ludlow, Massachusetts public schools. The lawsuit alleges that during the 2020-2021 school year, their child approached a teacher about feelings of depression, low self-esteem and possible attraction to the same gender. The teacher spoke with the child’s mother, who responded that she was getting the child professional help and asked school staff not to have private conversations with the child.

The child, who was 11 at the time, then sent an email to school personnel self-identifying as genderqueer and announcing a new name and list of preferred pronouns. The school counselor responded with an email to staff stating that, consistent with a policy sanctioned by the Ludlow School Committee, they should not use the new preferred name and pronouns when communicating with the parents. Around the same time, the child’s sibling, who was then 12 years old, also began using a different name. The school did not tell the parents.

The parents sued, alleging that the defendants violated three different rights derived from the 14th Amendment: (1) their fundamental parental rights to direct the education and upbringing of their children, (2) their fundamental right to direct medical and mental health decision-making for their children, and (3) their fundamental right to “familial privacy” and “family integrity.”

None of these rights are expressly identified in the Constitution. All of them stem from the same aspect of the 14th Amendment that produced the original decision in Roe v. Wade — “substantive” due process. The Supreme Court, of course, has now overturned that decision, leaving open the question of which constitutional rights stemming from the 14th Amendment will now prevail and which won’t.

To parents of trans kids who are scared of their kids facing transphobia:

Don't force your child out of being trans. Don't force them to detransition. This is not how your child from facing transphobia. Realistically, you are pushing them toward more dangerous situations because they will be desperate to find acceptance from anywhere they can.

I can't imagine how it feels to be a parent and worry about your child's safety or life because they are trans in this world. You have my full sympathy. While I can't speak from the experiences of a parent, I can speak from the experiences of a trans person who was once a child and why the above line of thinking is dangerous.

When I came out as trans, there was a huge proportion of time where my dad was very resistant to my transness. I couldn't understand why, but I believe part of why he was so resistant was because he was afraid somebody would assault or kill me because I am trans. That is a huge burden for him to think about. However, he went about this (valid) fear in a very destructive way.

He threatened my transition, he threatened to force me to detransition, and he threatened a lot of things. I retreated away from him, I couldn't talk to him about anything. I felt confined, unaccepted. I am lucky my friends and school were accepting, because I was vulnerable. Others haven't been lucky - so many people in that position have been taken advantage of by truly evil people.

You might think that you are protecting your child by making them appear cis, but that isn't how that plays out. Your child won't feel accepted, and chances are that if something horrific happened to them, gd-forbid, they won't come to you about that. This isn't protection, and I am sorry to say that. I am sorry that this isn't simple.

Here is how you can protect your trans child:

Make it clear you support them

Teach them self-respect, and how to listen to their gut feeling

Teach them appropriate versus inappropriate ways people can interact with them. Make sure they understand what harassment and abuse can look like - verbal, physical, and sexual

If you are still concerned for their physical safety, sign them up for self-defense classes

Leave the floor open for them to express how they are feeling and what they are thinking. Be non-judgmental when they are upset or worried

Please remember that trans people are painfully aware of the consequences of being trans in a transphobic world. Hell, one of the first trans people I learned about as a kid was killed as a result of a hate crime. We are aware of the world we live in. We have to live with that knowledge, and that is why it is imperative that you allow your trans child to express who they are and how they feel. You very well could save them by doing so.

We protect trans youth by empowering trans youth.

How to hide being queer from your parents 101

First, before I start this mini-essay/guide, I want to say:

Te/rfs fuck off from this post. In fact, ageists fuck off from this post as well. You mfs are the exact reason why it isn't safe for most kids to come out as queer.

Alright, now let's get to the actual guide.

If it can be avoided, never use the apps for social media where you're out as queer. All it takes is one unlucky search through your phone by your parents in order to out you. Instead, use the websites. If you really have to use the app, uninstall it when you're done with it, and only reinstall it when you know your parents are somewhat far from you. Also, make sure to log out of said accounts when you're not using them.

Regularly delete your search history. I don't just mean to do it once every couple days, do it ASAP whenever you've searched something you wouldn't like your parents to see. It may look suspicious, but suspicion is better than being outed to homophobic parents. I recommend having a search browser like opera gx or firefox nightly where you can easily and quickly delete search history.

When on the internet, always have a "Decoy Tab" ready. Simply have a tab open with some generic news site or youtube video open that you can switch to whenever you need to close out of a tab.

When coming out to someone in school or otherwise, only do so if you're absolutely sure they won't tell your parents.

You're gonna need to learn how to lie a lot. Always have an alibi on hand, and practice being able to make up lies on the spot. You're also gonna need to play dumb if you're caught.

Never browse queer content when near your parents. The bare minimum distance is 6-10 feet. The optimal distance is them not even being in the same building. I've almost been outed many times because my parents were close enough to quickly grab my phone.

Know the locations of your breaker and your wifi router. If your parents are searching through something like a desktop computer or a laptop, be prepared to cut out the wifi or even the power as a last resort.

Listen for footsteps and doors opening, and listen hard. If you even so much as think your parents are coming nearby, close out of anything you don't want them to see.

So yeah, that's the end of my tips. I would greatly appreciate it if you reblog this post, as I feel like it could help many people here. Also, feel free to add your own tips as well.

ok but blatantly and inarguably a lot of "accepting" parents would rather their children be ~nonbinary~ and/or ~nontransitioning~ than binary transgender, and this doesnt devalue exorsexism (not only because it is another form of exorsexism) but because it is a fact

Baby fever so bad I've been thinking about the ideal number of kids for characters. What is wrong with me.

I think for freddy it would depend. he's the anxious type- so having just one kid would be a lot for him #I'd imagine his decision of having another baby would be impacted a lot by how the first kid went #if everything was mostly alright he'd be all for it- if shit went sideways he would forever dread having a second one #fred doesn't like children. so... he probably wouldn't have any if not tied to freddy. and even then would insist on only one #chica... I've heard headcanons that she has younger siblings #and I see her as the type to want to want that for her children too #although I also imagine she would want to have her kids later in life... mid 30s maybe #fox I also see as someone who wouldn't really want kids- especially since I headcanon him as trans #he doesn't want to be pregnant and he doesn't want to dedicate years of his life raising a child #when he already spent most of his childhood having to take care of meg since they didn't have any parents #maybe if his partner wanted to adopt. and they adopted a slightly older child instead of a baby. but that's a big maybe #bonnie... Gross. Because so many parents are just okay with their kid transitioning. It's not like a kid of SIXTEEN years can have their own identity without consent from their parent/ guardian...

This is going to cause a crisis. A mental health crisis in youths. There already is a crisis! I believe children and youths are humans, and this is a blatant violation of their human rights and our jobs to protect them.

Some people have really crappy parents when it comes to coming out with a new pronoun. This is going to cause a skyrocket in depression and probably sadly teenage suicide...

We need to start asking our kids, their kids, everyone's kids what THEY want.

What do pronouns have to do with a child's education? Why is this a priority over schools having updated learning experiences? Updated courses? Even hiring more social and youth workers?

Why do they just not use any pronouns before 16? Names are there to be used.

Sorry, I am appalled by Saskatchewan's government, Ontario's as well. Our government (Canada as a whole) likes to say one thing "progressive" and then do the opposite and carbon copy of how little changes that has lead to so much danger in the United States, and other countries around the world.

This endangers lives just to make the people who are older, biased, and heavily hold outdated, values feel better.

Stop pandering to the boomers and the echo boomers. These are not the people who we need to target. Younger voters (gen x and later) are too busy fixing what those generations broke to go vote. (Just as a side note me, my partner, and several of my friends all of the same age did not receive their voting registration. This puts a huge hurdle out there for us. It means we have to wait in line for possibly hours to wait in another line to fill out the form the government should have sent you. Last time I voted it took FOUR hours before I was done. Many companies pressure employees that they can't leave to vote because it takes so long. You get a maximum of three paid work hours to vote. Most people are bullied into trying to go after their shift, even if it's really not feasible.

Funding has also been cut in mental health resources. I don't believe these kids will have any form of mediation or help from the school or government. They barely had it when I worked in the school sector. There are not enough social workers to go around. Working in the school sector I had to cover 6 schools in 5 days...

Working in my sector is exhausting as well because there aren't enough of us to go around here either. My shift ends for me to stay around five more hours to finish my documents...

I don't remember anyone asking us if the government should cut funding to hospitals, mental health programs, education programs, or if my child needs my permission to use the pronoun of choice! I don't remember asking for the police to get license plate readers for all cruisers or to give the government officials raises and freeze doctors' wages even lower because doctors are willing to take a cut for more nursing staff. Where is the democraticy in this?

This was my personal opinion written under the article.

The Mission:

Proofread 5k words of a Top Secret children's story. It's the first in a set of 3, and revolves around a dragon who doesn't know his name.

Requirements:

To have 1+ miniature humans between the ages of 0 - 7 years, or to have a miniature human who was previously that age.

To comment on the story with your honest thoughts & reactions based on your experience with miniature humans - either your own or those you've been responsible for.

If possible, to include some notes about how your miniature human reacted to the story or how they would have reacted if they were still in that age group.

To send the comments & notes on the piece back to Selkie before the deadline closes.

Additional information:

There are themes of self-identification, nontraditional family dynamics, queer parenting and adoption throughout this story. The author is lgbtq+, and this story is the first in a series of 3 which address elements of queer life, broken down for children and parents of all backgrounds to empathise with.

This one deals with choosing your own identity and your own community - even if it's not the name you're given and even if it's not the community who society says you're supposed to fit in with.

The target audience is queer children and queer / lgbtqia+ families, and aims to start or aid casual conversations about figuring out where we belong and where we feel free to be our most authentic selves. If it helps lgbt+ children express themselves, or helps parents explain a loved-one's transition or coming out, then that's incredible.

It is not required that the proofreaders be in a family with lgbtqia+ members, since this book is for everyone - but it is a consistent theme throughout, so proofreaders should be aware of that.

The deadline: 17th November 2022
