Idk what to even say to this. Just Eric doing whatever she wants and 2/3 of her boyfriends being like 'yeah I'll play' and Leon looking SO nervous in the middle lol. He's not used to magic shit. Toland is on board and Savant just smiles through it.
My October comm from @brahkest they did the lines. I did all the coloring and rendering and mememing lol. Idk what's going on with Eric's outfit. I told Brahk to make her a hot witch outfit and they SURE DID even if parts make zero sense.
Savant's shirt is the same material as Eric's cloak and I think that's cute af okay

So I finally finished editing the final chapter (16) of threads in the web
It was just past dawn. The woods were veiled with thin mist. Snow had not yet fallen, but the ground was damp from morning-melted frost. The golden sunlight and red leaves felt much too pleasant for a place that hid a teeming nest of Hive.
The story of these characters will continue in my fireteam ember series

The scene where Drax pets Rocket in order to comfort him after losing Groot in the first Guardians movie hits so different now after watching Vol. 3. When Drax first puts his hand on Rocket’s head, you can see him tense up, probably because most of the physical contact he has had up until that point has been followed by the infliction of pain. It also broke my heart when I realised that this was also probably the first time that Rocket had ever been patted or stroked in an affectionate way by anyone in his life 🥹

365: May 29
I remember writing this and having the epiphany 'if Savant has X,000 exes that means he's dated that many people, meaning he probably has INSANE game'. Which honestly... yEAH! Savant does have insane game. Not like it even matters when the actual love of his life is a smol awoken lady with a caffeine addiction.
----
Savant leaned against the railing next to Drifter while a game was going on in the Haul. Now and then Drifter made a call and Savant was watching the live feed on his pockit of a specific player. The screen Drifter was looking at didn't even have a video feed. It was all statistics and rising and falling numbers but Drifter had no trouble reading the code. Savant had tried it a few times and by the end he'd sort of understood but it was like trying to read droplets of water in a river. Savant thought it was impressive and also that Drifter was insane for managing it.
"I want to play with the Young Wolf," Savant said as he watched her on his pockit.
"Sorry what?" Drifter asked, taken aback.
"I want to play with Dredgen Wolf," Savant said, more of a whine now. "You never let me play with her."
"Yeah because I work too hard for you to end the game in five minutes," Drifter said, equally as annoying.
Savant made a face. That was a shitty answer and they both knew it. He pushed off the railing, putting his pockit into a pocket on his coat, and took the few steps over to Drifter to get right in his personal space. Drifter looked at him as Savant grabbed him by the coat and made Drifter turn to him. "You know I work too hard for it to end in five minutes," Savant said softly in a tone that made Drifter do a double take. He tugged on Drifter's coat, pulling him down so they were face to face. Drifter wasn't that much taller than him but he was making a point. Drifter's dark eyes darted across his face, not sure where this was going but as usual not able to make or maintain eye contact. "I want to play with the Young Wolf and her annoying friend since you don't let me play with my friends and you never play with me."
Drifter cleared his throat, "That is categorically untrue," Drifter tried to say.
"So I didn't find you curled up in that sack of rags you call a bed up here all on your own this morning?" Savant asked, still keeping his voice low and intimate in a way he knew made the hair on the back of Drifter's neck stand on end. Not always in a good way but that was also fine with Savant. "Didn't we agree not to be boring with each other?"
"I remember something like that, yeah," Drifter coughed out. He was surprisingly easy to fluster during Gambit. Just had to use the same tone of voice Savant used when they fucked and put his fine metal hand under his coat along his stomach and side. Not even on skin. If it was anyone but Drifter Savant would have found it sweet. On Drifter he just looked desperate which was about par the course.
"Then don't bore me," Savant said, drawing his face close to Drifter's.
"That ain't ever the plan, sparky," Drifter said like he was about to kiss Savant but Savant wasn't about to give that to him.
"Then matchmake me with Dredgen Wolf and Skinner," Savant said, hand trailing over his clothed hip and against his back. "That should be fun for both of us and isn't that what we always do?" Savant asked him coyly. Drifter always looked like he absolutely was a few centuries out of practice when it came to flirting when Savant was coy with him. Again it would have been cute if it was anyone but Drifter.
The monitor Drifter was looking at beeped loudly, signaling a team had summoned a Prime but Savant had Drifter's complete attention even if Drifter couldn't look him in the eyes. He couldn't look anyone in the eyes so Savant didn't take it personally. Drifter let out a breath. "Yeah, okay. One game," he said.
Savant released the thread of Void he'd been subconsciously holding onto to dim the lights around them making the moment more quiet, darker, and intimate than it otherwise would have been. The world snapped back into full color and brightness, still dingey on the Derelict, and the sound of Drifter's monitor returned. "Perfect," Savant said and before he let Drifter go closed that distance and kissed him. He ran his hand up Drifter's chest as he did and lingered for a handful of seconds before stepping away.
He went back to his spot on the railing and Drifter looked like he'd just dragged himself out of a river. Then he shook himself and turned back to the game even as Savant pulled out his pockit to watch the Young Wolf start to melt the Primeval.
