There's one where after revival Wilbur's body is kinda fucked up in the nerves and blood vessels department, so he has some trouble with kinda controlling it, which particularly expresses itself in his hands being unsteady. They're so unsteady, that the first time he picks up a guitar again he can't play right. He blows up over it and has a breakdown, and vows to never play again. He still ends up trying a couple times, but each time he just immediately gets pissed off and upset, and tosses it away. It really breaks him. At some point he's at Quackity's place, and he sees a guitar. He looks at it for a while, but doesn't say anything, of which Quackity makes note. Next time they meet up Wilbur shits on Quackity for not having touched it recently, so Quackity takes it as a challenge. Once the music starts, Wil goes quiet. He's sitting to the side of Q, slightly behind him, and after a while for just a moment he leans against his upper back, and closes his eyes, simply l taking the moment in. This situation repeats, a couple times, and each time Wilbur lets himself relax a bit longer. He starts playing with Quackity's hair as he listens, and one time he l begins trying to braid it. His hands are shaking, he's struggling to divide the thick hair into even parts, he's having trouble keeping the braid even, but what's crucial is that he does it. Next time it repeats. And next time too. And the next, and eventually the braids start to look actually pretty decent. Time passes, they meet up more often, and eventually comes a day when Wilbur takes the guitar. No words are exchanged. No ridicule, but no praise either - no verbal acknowledgement. Instead Quackity just sits slightly behind him, and begins gently braiding his hair. The notes are wonky and don't always sound quite right, and the rhythm is messy, and strumming only goes well sometimes, but he's playing...
Quackity kisses Wilbur's head, right above the new braid. He leans in, partially hugging him, as the other's playing. It's been a bit over a year since he started playing again, and the difference is big. Neither knows if he'll ever fully regain the control and steadiness of his hands, but he manages to keep the rhythm, and the notes now ring out clear a big majority of the time. He plays quicker songs too, now; sometimes they both sing, and laugh when they mix something up. Quackity smiles, closing his eyes as Wilbur once again butchers a random song by changing up the words completely to make it as on the nose as humanly possible. He begins to wonder what they should eat tomorrow for their anniversary breakfast.

so im thinking, this is a canon divergent au where q takes wil in after he was revived. i always had a hc that when someone is revived, they walked out from the river (it sounds cooler in my head & it doesmt make sense, but like idk he steps off the train and into the water basically?) but instead wil couldnt swim so he like. Drowns. q was nearby chilling amd was like “is that soot’s body. what is it doing in the river??” amd swims to save that fucker (didnt know he was alive then). and then q was like, “mans look different?” wil then wakes up amd spirals into a panic attack and q comforts him. so where it all started.
instead of being a douchebag like he is in canon, here hes a sad lil fucker. Cute too. no one knows he is revived other than q, and he lives (more like hides) with q. man’s not ready for judgment from others. maybe he does a lil healing too. hes trying to get himself together to make amends w everyone, amd q is helping him.
i have other ideas like him looking VERY different to the point no one recognises him, so he goes by a different identity and is known as Quackity’s vice president. occasionally joins his meetings too. his workers ship yhem btw heheh (sam no. 1 shipper)
everyone likes this identity of him, cuz he nice and shit, and he hangs out w mostly everyone. more often than not, ppl would slip and mention wilbur in their comvos, and wil was like “nono tell me more about him.” amd when rhey talk about him he was like “mm he sounds like a dick”
tommy has a hard time trusting him bccc yeahhh
but then this wouldnt make sense cuz even if his identity has changed his voice stays the same so.. prob not gonna work :/ oooOOOoo what if he revived and forgot him memory?!!! everyone knows he is wilbur soot but he doesnt,,, and hes trying to mold himself into someone not wilbur… and he has a different name…. actually im thinking this as im writing this. scrap everythifn screw this. except the first 3 paragraphs.

It have a tweet when Thomas said that felix was a dark character I think, although he doesn’t really look like that much of a dark character in the concept just him probably grumpy or somethin at times lol and even if it’s true that he was a dark character it still probably might be interesting as a concept depending how and maybe who written it I don’t know.
He prob was trolling when he tweet that because people keep asking him bout it back then idk lol
He’s probably upset that people prefer Felix over Adrien, which is why he “revived” the Felix concept as Felix Fathom even though they have totally different personalities (in the earlier parts of the series).
I mean… does this look “dark” to you?
Even if he was dark, it’s quite easy to give him redemption like how Chloe’s canon development looked like it was going down.

Also, gonna add that even if Spider didn't rescue Quaritch, who's to say Quaritch isnt gonna come back anyway? I mean, it was established that he downloaded all of his memories in a file so if he dies, his clone carry out where he left off. Quaritch probs has a back up Na'vi clone or two waiting back at base with the memories and knowledge already uploaded, waiting to wake up when Quaritch dies so it'll continue hunting down Jake
Exactly! So long as the RDA decides that the money it takes to bring Quaritch back is worth it to get rid of Jake, there’s no guarantee Quaritch will stay dead.
And it makes perfect sense from both a writer’s perspective and an in-universe perspective. Someone has to set up for the third movie, and keeping Quaritch alive does that. It also makes sense for Spider to choose to save him given that Spider was with the Recoms for months, and that mere moments before that, Neytiri was 100% willing to kill Spider. Spider has bonded with Quaritch, and the kid isn’t a killer. To him, leaving his father to die is as good as murdering Quaritch with his own hands.
And if Quaritch were to come back again, there’s no guarantee that a) the RDA wouldn’t do more tweaking to his memories and/or b) he would meet Spider. Spider is forcing Quaritch to see Pandora from a Na’vi perspective, not through the eyes of a conqueror. This Quaritch has potential to change thanks to his son, he already is changing. Killing and reviving Quaritch again and starting back at square one isn’t interesting from a writing standpoint.

summer retrospective time because i'm feeling down about term starting up and not writing as much as i wanted to but I KNOW this is ridiculous and my goals were unreasonable.
so totally unasked for and unprompted here's what i got:
Chapters 8 and 9 of Upside-Down - 32k (total wip 118k) - E - Harringrove - Crazy long March chapter wherein an ominous phone rings and rings, Billy experiences some firsts (first time playing D&D against his will! first time fucking Steve! first time enduring a birthday party!), and Eddie drags Billy to a thrash metal concert. In Flayedville, the kids rally the troops to save Billy, he and Steve share body heat, and plans don't go as planned.
Two fics written for upcoming @strangerthingscharityzine totaling 4k words in their original state, trimmed down to 1.5k words each for the zine edition. Idk if I'm allowed to summarize but one of them made Remy cry!
That Bartender Sure is Something - 1k - G - Harringrove - Sideways scene rewrite from alt character's POV wherein I try to lay groundwork for why Steve's parents are out of town so often (aside from my need to give boys safe space to fuck and be super freaking domestic).
Chapters 11 and 12 of Only One Bed - 13k (total wip 59k) - E - Harringrovesoningham or whatever Steve/Billy/Eddie/Chrissy is called - Chrissy POV and Eddie POV chapters wherein Chrissy and Billy bond and then Billy/Eddie/Chrissy navigate their dynamic as asymmetrical polyamorous triad. Mostly cute!! Minimal angst!!
¿Por qué no los dos? - 18k - E - Harringroveson/Metalsandwich - What was supposed to be an excuse to make Steve and Eddie thirst over Billy in space buns becomes unexpectedly harrowing exploration of aromantic experience for me and apparently others, some of whom may be entitled to compensation. But there's smut... at the end?
Drafted aaalmost first half (7k) of @bigbangharringrove fic wherein Steve flirts with necromancy and necrophilia and NO STOP where are you going it's all gonna be fine!!! See, Billy died in this contemporary fantasy version of Hawkins where magic and supernatural creatures are just kinda there and so Steve tries to revive him but he imports the wrong file. The wrong Billy. Because there happens to be a lust demon that goes by the same name as Steve's dearly departed husband and let me tell ya he is NOT jazzed to be here. Working with @LucaDoodleDoo who is awesome AND so far has not run away!
Drafted 1.5k of fic for upcoming @harringrovezine. Still on track to be way too long but I WILL trim it down. Not sure what else I'm free to say but I'm excited how it's shaping up?

And that's... that's it. About 76.5k in all. Which is more than I realized (and also according to haphazard math is more than last summer by maybe 10k?)
I'm not usually fixated on word count much (aside from like laugh-crying when a fic just balloons way bigger than anticipated), and more words does not equal better words by ANY means, but I think this gives me a reality check about getting down on myself. I didn't finish the major things I originally set out to finish but... yeah, such is life when you have more than one WIP in which you are painfully invested 😅
And it's not like I won't EVER finish them which is prob my biggest fear because i had a rep growing up for all my grand plans and projects just losing steam and going nowhere. But I am capable of finishing fics because look ma, there's 3 whole multi-chap fics with the little green check mark (please actually DON'T look, ma).
I'm just babbling now. When work starts I'll be back to writing in random libraries after last bell and my output will slow, and I'm sad about it. But wow you know what I did shit out a bunch of words in like 2.5 months so at least there's that.
(Hesitant to post this because I'm sure it looks like flexing or fishing or something? Or like I'm implying that unless you too are shitting out words you suck? Which uhh I am not! The intent is more for Present Me to flex on Past Me, maybe? And fish some reassurance out of cold hard numbers to more easily put things in perspective.)
Mostly this did work, though! I feel better about the summer. If you need a boost, look over what you've done across a certain span of time using whatever measurement suits you and talk yourself into a pat on the back.

I think one of the main issues with not only s2 but some of s1 as well as that only neil was involved with the creation of both of them because terry unfortunately passed away. It lost something vital in that moment. In s1, they still had the book and I think s1 did a good job as far as adaptations go with some grievances, but now in s2, it's whatever neil is going to do and with how active he is on tumblr and how the fans are and how he's reacting to them, it's losing the spirit of the original even further. Not BECAUSE the ship is canon, but everything else surrounding the ship and how we got there and how the writers and the actors are changing the characters more as they progress from one season to the next. I watched s2 feeling giddy for more good omens and very quickly that giddiness turned sort of confused and disappointed. I didn't want disjointed filler fanfic with a loose plot. It didn't fit. It didn't feel right. Overall, I didn't hate the season, but I didn't quite like it either. The handful of you good omens critical blogs have summed it up very well for me and I'm surprised it's not a more popular opinion. I've just seen a couple people talking about how book fans are complaining which is the most dismissive way to put it. I'm not sure if people are blinded by their theories and canon ship or they just don't care that this season felt almost fanmade, but I'm sad that the book and tv show versions are now miles apart rather than cousins.

I actually did like season 1, too. The book is very hard to transfer to tv imo and choices had to be made.
Technically, Adam is the main character, but putting more focus on him would either mean a) a kid show with a lot of stuff about the them or b) more Anathema and conspiracy theories discussion.
That probs wouldn't have worked that well, so Gaiman made the two most colourfull characters the protagonists and in order to flesh them out added to their relationship.
Other stuff was added for comedic reasons or drama. Which I get.
So season one was a fair interpretation with necessary (to appeal to a mainstream audience) changes.
And both actors were doing an amazing job, so that helps.
Another plus is that a lot of new fans had so much fun with the material and created a ton of art/fics and revived the fandom.
And then it went off the rails somehow.
The thing is, Good Omens isn't a drama. A lot of dramatic events happen, but they feel understated, it's mainly weird, quirky and funny.
It also isn't a love story. In the romantic sense.
There is a lot of love in the book.
And I truely do not know what exactly happened, that turned such a unique little thing into the most bland, generic romance.
Probably capitalism.
I mean, just watching Crowley and Aziraphale trying to weather everyday life without having their jobs anymore would have been hilarious, but probs to niche.
And I would love to know what made Gaiman change his tune in regards to the nature of their relationship.
He does not really answer stuff, though, he's good at circumventing.
I hope at least it wasn't tumblr that influenced him. In most cases a creative process suffers from too much social media interaction. (Season 3 could get even worse).
The fandom dynamics regarding criticsm are always complicated.
I do speculate that most hyper positive fans are fairly new, just in it for the ship and going with the flow.
Also critcism is kinda a four letter word these days.
Sadly.
I mean it can be fun and relieving to went or pick apart or even ridicule and as long as it's tagged correctly nobody gets hurt by it.
Maybe 'Good Omens' also is a sore subject, because after years of being vague, Crowley/Aziraphale actually got canonized, and no matter what they represent as, they do look like a gay couple to the general audience, and people might be afraid criticsm might reflect badly on the representation they finally got.
Who knows.
In the end, one can always cherry pick. I do like some scenes, I do ship Crowley/Aziraphale, but I'm disappointed that their characters went full on angel/demon cliche contrary to the appealing, nuanced book versions.
And yeah, there is no actual plot so we might as well have gotten smth like Crowley tries to earn money by becoming an uber driver or smth (there's great fanfic about that).
But that's just me, I do get why people enjoy it. Criticsm just helps to deal a bit with the disappointment, because, like you, I was initially thrilled about the second season.

y’all know how Heroes Rising in hori’s words was his idea as the “finale-ish for MHA” that he wanted to use in the end? what if this was still his idea, but he made a few critical adjustments? ;; instead of deku and katsuki almost in the brink of defeat before sharing ofa, it’s katsuki that gets the fatal end BUT deku will prob somehow make it there and sees katsuki in that state then becomes feral or does everything in his power to revive him. eventually, bkdk will defeat shiggy together (with ofa inside) and if hori is still choosing the path of rescue for shiggy, that’s going to be all on deku bc each of them have a role: “save to win (deku), win to save (baku)”

I'll put specifics under the cut
I cleared it first try so I didn't have to strategize that much but imo the name of the game for beating the Amons is DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE
my party was Kiryu (dragon of dojima w/ just level 1 inheritances like burning arrow, trippy flipper ripper and bro-side bbq) Saeko (barmaid with kunoichi and idol skill inheritance particularly scattering flowers, throat slitter, healing voice, and whatever the idol one is that removes status effects from everyone) Seonhee (assassin with housemaid and night queen for scum scraper and candle rush in particular and I think also healing voice from idol) and Zhao (gangster and tbh I can't remember what inheritances he had. prob similar to Kiryu's tbh)
Ichiban and Adachi can both be good party members to bring because of their self revives, I really like Ichiban in desperado and Adachi in linebacker if you have the DLC
the big threat here is that Kiryu does not have a self revive unlike Ichiban so it might be worth putting a sacrifice stone on him. unfortunately for me, I busted mine doing the hawaii haunt EX boss fight lol. really just make sure Kiryu stays up on HP, maybe slap a dragon's binding on him and make sure his armor is as good as you can give him (even if I still have him in the dragon boots.....)
whatever amon you can burst down fastest is your priority target. for me I had a lot of ice damage I could throw at them and was using the dolphin bag on Saeko so whichever one was ice weak is the one I was hammering. bring a paella and as many party fruit cups and teas as you can scrounge up, you can buy fruits around hawaii relatively quick. Zhao was largely on support with homemade dim sum and then his aoe essences
scum scraper is great for knocking off buffs as well as being a grapple. Kiryu will usually do more damage with a proximity bonus regular attack in brawler (assuming you have his...... spirit? high enough to have that attack upgraded) than an ice weak trippy flipper ripper so if you're not snagging multiple guys in it just punch em. if they're really clustered up and you have the upgraded beast proximity attack, hoo boy that will do damage
don't sleep on ceremonial teas they clear status effects for everyone. Saeko's combo action fully heals and clears status effects so use it in a pinch. Seonhee's and Zhao's you can use right off the bat to soften people up, and I used Kiryu's a couple turns in once I had identified whose ass was getting kicked the fastest. they DID revive one amon once and I'm not sure the trigger for it or if it's a one time only thing but I beat him back down pretty quick. burns from candle rush and wok and a hard place are good extra damage
for equipment: eye of the dragon, dragon's binding, transcendent insole, goddess's ikali (sp? the one that ups ice/fire/elec attacks), bracelet of the four devas, any of the max atk/def/will/magic accessories, and I always keep the instant KO/curse nullifier on my party leader. armor is just gonna be whatever the best stuff you have is
if you're still getting your ass kicked it can be worth throwing everyone through the first dozen or so levels of the other jobs just for the stat boosts, usually that's just one or two fights. hopefully something in this wall of texts helps, good luck!!

Anyways, I loved Poor Things and it's up there with Boy and Heron, They Cloned Tyrone, Barbie, Asteroid City, and M3gan for fave of the year for me. So, let's first set the scene here.
I show up at the theater, expecting only like three other people (based on our online ticketing system). Then the room gets completely packed by everyone from other twenty-somethings to elderly couples. I haven't seen this big a turnout since the Barbie screening, prob.
So, anyways, we all start watching and begin dying of laughter. It's in the basic slapstick, like Bella impulsively smacking Max in the intro. But it's also in all her unfiltered observations that aren't very socially acceptable!
Ok yeah, now we're hitting spoilers so just gonna toss a cut in.
Yeah, she's ultimately kind of like the revived guy in Frankenstein, except her dad actually cares for her. It's in the small stuff like giving her a name and not tossing her at the first signs of trouble. But both doctors still didn't really give a rat's ass about their kids' basic bodily autonomy when first making them.
Did Bella's mom ever ask to be brought back? Nah, so he respected that basic bit. Would she have been okay with her kid's brain animating her corpse? Ehhhhhhhh, doubtful, especially considering that she offed herself to escape her expected role as a good rich mama. Can't really ask her, but that's not gonna stop science here (much like in the case of Dr. Frankenstein and his son).
Yeah, that's not exactly a promising start to a parent-kid relationship. We have basic standards of good parenting like actively trying to educate the kid and not committing incest, but the bar is kind of in hell. Still, he ultimately respects her autonomy and lets her make the impulsive decision to run off on a trip with some lawyer. After giving away her hand in marriage without her own permission, like a proper Victorian papa! Still, wow, he actually let her out. Amazing, showstopping, revolutionary.
Anyways. Mr. Lawyer is a total elderly creeper. He wants Bella, but when she's uneducated and controllable. The second he catches her reading philosophy books? Tosses them overboard and rages at the lady who gave them to her. Then he pathetically tries to off her.
Ruffalo has no right being as funny as he is in this role. Still, it's a performance that makes sense in the context of this absurd comedy. He's a pathetic manbaby that's angry that his girlfriend is actively trying to improve herself while he's stagnant (and gasp, she might figure out that he's a giant creep that women his age stay away from). The second she screws someone else, he rages. And he doesn't respect her coworkers in Paris! But he does it with this expression of inept rage, so we all couldn't help but laugh at his breakdown at being dumped once Bella learns more about the world.
Side note, but the most laughs in the theater happened when Bella was completely disregarding social norms. You want a lady that only spews niceties in public? Well, sorry she very inappropriately threw one at your dinner companion's talk of her personal issues. Lol.
You're upset she's dancing by herself in public? Hope you have fun squirming while she takes the lead in the dance with you, then.
Oh, and sorry she's outearning you and proceeds to quit that overly strict workplace when she feels like it. And also finds a gf down there.
And sod it, if Mama was rocking generic Victorian clothes, we're rocking pieces that would've made Viviene Westwood proud!
Side note but that production and costume design were delicious. Plus, that color grading. I'm still obsessed with the vivid blue dress of her mom in her one final moment of freedom, versus that painful grayness of that mansion. Oh, and the vividness of Bella's world trip!
Anyways, very much a "vibes" kind of movie but we were all a very specific kind of hedonist that proceeded to laugh and actually comment on everything. It's a bleak comedy and while this all sounds like a massive breach of theater etiquette, it actually was fine. My favorite bit was at the mad scientist antics at the end. "No, don't bring your dad back, he never asked!" "HELL YEAHHHHHH" (yes, these were both reactions to the man-goat scene).

Got around to watching 3x01
yeah fan reactions summed up my feelings : every scene focused on a new storyline/character, you can't really focus on anything/get attached or tell much story. So it was mainly the beginning of storylines/hinting at what's possibly to come, which is alright for a premier
-superson wants to be superboy I guess? But also doesn't understand what it means when someone breaks up with you? (is this a s2 rerun? Will he ever learn?)
-human son, idk what's gonna happen with him. They gave him a driver's license story for the season premier. Very skipable
-lana/John vs chrissy/Kyle... I guess? Idk
-I'm keeping my eye on the Irons duo; kinda want Nat and sam to hang out and bond
-will jh's sister meet alt!JH?
-clois being all cute. I'm curious how the lois health storyline will go especially with the reviving mojo bruno got. I see bad things in the future. Are we gonna get dark/evil lois? Bruno gonna force her to work for him bc his mojo keeps her alive but also a supervillain?
And can't wait to see reporter Clark in action hopefully
-oooh the villains have me excited, showing us 3 and namedropping a 4th; idk why but my intuition is telling me the onmonotopaeieu (I don't know how to spell that name) person may be a woman underneath the mask? I wonder if it's someone new or someone we know? What is the point of the mojo? Does bruno and/or omnopotopeuau revive someone indefinitely?
In conclusion after 3x01: I will probs be skipping past the teen and romance drama parts to watch clois, the villains etc

you won’t see any romantic shipping of mina/ko & ry/oji here, romantically it’s my notp. i’m probs the only one in the world who doesn’t ship them in that light but i am feral about how intricately tied these two are. it’s like a sin to think other wise, like the p3 prot/ag + ry/oji like it’s like trying to split up how important aig/is is to the prot/ag it’s impossible.
for me ph.aros/ryo.ji was born from min/ako specifically & i use the words born from with purpose. while it is a metaphor all in all about being sealed, born, etc etc for me that interpretation for years is something i’ve seen as m/inako( the p3 pr/otag in general but for my twins its min/ako ) carried pha.ros/ry.oji within her as a mother would a child--- ryo/ji is born or rather reborn into the world but was incubated within mina/ko of which he was sealed.
their fates were forever intertwined the moment aig/is sealed the 13th shadow into min/ako, both to prevent the end & to save her life. from that moment on their lives were the same. healing, recovering, growing. as she ages, so does he relative to his age within her. sealed inside, in that womb that is her entire form. it’s been ten years since the attack on the moonlight bridge, therefore ph/aros appears to mina/ko as ten years old. as ry/oji when he is reborn once all the shadows have been gathered into min/ako where pharo/s lay in wait he appears as 17-18 aka mi/nako’s own reflected age. he catches up. once he’s reborn that tether is severed, sure, but the impact on pha.ros/ryoji.’s growth is evident by his humanity.
min/ako is placed in a unfortunate position as the bearer of death. a death mother, a death nurse. not only is the 13th shadow sealed within her its on her as she grows & gets stronger to unknowingly do the same for the shadow within. again, he grows because she does. && when she arrives back in iwata/odai that process speeds up ten fold--- all of the twelve shadows are parts of the 13th. they form up what will become the arbiter of the fall. when one full moon shadow is slain it’s essence disperses but what no one realizes, including mina/ko until it’s too late, is that energy is being absorbed into her to help pha/ros’ growth his recovery. it’s during this time she’s making tighter knit bonds, she’s growing as a person, she’s laughing more smiling more, she’s falling in love ! all of this is not lost on the soul within her, ph/aros growing a soul & developing his humanity because now that he’s returned home alongside the twins he’s awake. he’s watching, listening, understanding. her feelings are his, her fears become his, her anger become his own. it’s hard for him to process. but it’s hard being human. it’s why ryoj/i is so human-like, he is one. it’s why he cares so much for the sees members, he’s drawn to them because he already knows them. if ju/npei is close to mina/ko, why is not ry/oji ? it’s natural. gravitate to what you know. those are his friends right ? those are his friends because they were hers. the humanity of ry/oji is directly born from min/ako beyond his existence. what are we if not a reflection of our parents ?
this is how i see them. a mix of sibling, parent, parasite, a bonded pair. something that can’t be ever properly defined. it’s hard to narrow it down. he is of her, she is of him.
because as much as he is of her, she was not all give & no take. the sealing of the shadow added a second heartbeat so to speak, it allowed her to survive the attack. && buddy she was as good as fuckin dead on that bridge. little m/inato pulled her from the wreck trying to save her only to risk his own health as well. if it weren’t for the shadow itself trying to survive she wouldn’t have made it. the two of them clung to each other becoming stronger, recovering. reviving themselves using each other in a symbiotic bond. as the 13th learns humanity; what is taken from min/ako is replaced with what makes one a shadow.
unware to min/ako her body, soul, & self holds aspects of a shadow just as ryoji holds humanity. part shadow, part human. not much of this tends to effect her day to day, it’s not something she could even tell is different because this is all she remembers. but it does effect her. during the dark hour all of his is hinted, reflected. she’s able to see better, hear better. she can sense shadows. differently from fuu/ka & ju/no. she’s capable of hurting them without special weapons or personas. shadows can hunt & kill shadows after all. this part of her is what also tainted her wild card leading her to not just be a fool arc/ana---- but also a death arc/ana.
as ph.aros/ry.oji is death, the arbiter of the fall. the end, the prince of darkness; min/ako shares this in arc/ana, in meaning. the mother of death, womb to shadows. i love being so extra rn i couldn’t be this incredibly extra years ago. anyway to give is to get & it’s another way that the two are p much intermingled.
a lot of this i’m still very much like untangling into words bc i’ve had this concept in my head brewing for many a moon. one of these things is a added little original lore bit that involves streg/a because i love those zealots. i think they are neat. i think tak/aya would see mi/nako & know INSTANTLY she harbors death. she marks the falls. it begins with her. && he would revere her. i just love taking this happy little idiot & forcing her to carry the biggest burden of the universe & watch her heft it on her shoulders like atlas & stare right into the abyss & wish it well with all her heart & the love within in shes a fuckin magical girl.
but min/ako does love ry/oji. it’s not romantic, but of course she loves ryo/ji. she loves pha/ros. she loves the 13th shadow.
as much as their existence is a ‘ bad omen ‘ or the fact they are death it doesn’t matter. mina/ko loves them. they are apart of her, they are from her. but also they are their own individuals. she loves that about them, she loves that for them.
thats the thing about her; she loves. she loves with all her heart the world around her even though it has been so cold in return. that she has experienced loss time & time again. that despite everything, she loves. she befriends with love, she fights with love, she mourns with love.
so yeah. in every timeline, in every universe. if she lives once, if she lives the same year a thousand times. she will always choose love. she will always choose to love.

Some One Piece fans keep comparing the final stages of the manga to Naruto’s... but I’m sitting here going.... It’s Star Wars. It’s going to be Return of the Jedi.
It is going to be a multi-front battle, the “rebels” are going to be split into two or more armies (land, sea, sky, space), and there is going to be a more-personal showdown in a “thrown room” between the heroes and the emperor.
The Cross Guild is gathering together splinter groups of Pirates under one flag. There is SWORD inside the Marines that are going to clean up from the inside. An actual Revolutionary Army, who’s leader is the main protagonist’s father... these forces could come together as a Rebel Alliance.
“That’s no moon, it’s a space station.” There is a lot to do about the Moons of the OP world happening right now... and people forget that there is more than one moon and people use to live on those moons. One of them even “created” the Red Line. They may have “created” the Ancient Weapons. One of the ancient Weapons is satellite-like and may be even used as a base.
There is foreshadowing that the Red Line is going to be destroyed to create the All Blue... likely using these weapons all at once along with God-tier Devil Fruit users and awakened Logia Devil Fruit Users.... Hell, maybe that is the function of the One Piece, to combine the abilities of the ancient weapons into one that could bring down the Red Line.

A Blackbeard vs Shanks battle looks to be in the works, and prob happen before the final war, which could potentially take Shanks out of the picture or leave him realizing he’s going to need to make allies. Also all of this stuff with Xebec, Teach keeps messing with (if he actually revives Xebec, it would poetic that Rocks kills him).... Rocks fills the role of “Darth Vader” more than Teach anyways. (As Rocks does have a more personal connection with people like Garp (who ‘killed’ Rocks the fist time, and puts Garp in the Obi Wan role), and could be Dragon’s actual father, making him Luffy’s other grandfather... but as always, Luffy wouldn’t care)... and like Vader, Rocks could turn on Imu... We just don’t know Rocks’ personality)
Teach is more like the Jabba the Hutt of the story, he’s a major threat, has personal connections with some of the protagonists, but he’s the secondary villain to the greater threat that is the empire. He can’t be “turned” like other characters, like those joining/heading the Cross Guild, so he’s going to have to be taken out or he’ll end up a spanner in the works. Teach also currently has Coby held “hostage”... just not in carbonite. (edit: now he has pudding too)
another direction is that Imu plays Blackbeard like a violin. Imu has some puppet master illusionist cryptid brain-melting power, and just flips Teach and his captains. Teach, like Rocks, gets 99% there to completing his goal, only to get slapped down at the end... Teach might not even know about Imu. He shows up where the “empty” throne is and is all: “Zehahah! I am going to spread chaos across the whole world!’ (Imu, whom just came out of the bathroom): “No, you’re not.” “um... who are you?” “your master.” (brain zappy) “yes master.”
Maybe both? Teach gets beaten down by Luffy and/or Shanks, and Imu turns him into a puppet before he actually dies and his devil fruits could reincarnate. (this could work, if Teach is just a Rocks fanboy and Rocks never makes an actual physical appearance... being on an island that was shot by giant death lasers kind of means there isn’t a body around. Without Vegapunk on the side of the world government anymore, it is unlikely that Teach would be turned into a PX like Kuma was).
The main plot of OP is following similar lines to the Skypia arc... which involves a land that was split in two and needs to be reunited (all blue/red line), a godhead with overwhelming power(Enel = Imu), a lost golden city that explorers spent years trying to find (The One Piece), the person that found it was executed by his government (Noland = Roger). The Winged Races all came from the moons to settle on the planet (the Lunarians settled on the Redline, to be later displaced and destroyed by the Celestial Dragons). Enel destroyed his own home island (Imu is maybe from God Valley?) Enel pretty much had his way until someone with high resistance to his powers showed up (Joyboy/Nika to Imu). Enel went onto a massive ship and left the planet (there are aliens in this world... so other earths exist. Imu may just fuck off to one of them instead of staying there after their defeat) Ended with a massive party.
The Main Plot isn’t going to stray too far. It would be like comparing Alabasta to Dressrosa or Thriller Bark to Wano.. there are structure similarities, but there are enough differences for each of them to stand on their own. I am fond of saying that Oda likes to reuse his plots but make them bigger. And i honestly think that Blackbeard is going to be dealt with right before the final war to topple the government happens. He may even be the person to kick it off. He isn’t the penultimate villain (and neither is Shanks ffs). Blackbeard is trying to follow in the path of Xebec, and Xebec wanted world domination (it is still possible that he just wanted to burn everything down to the ground and didn’t care how it was accomplished). Blackbeard is likely missing key pieces of information, and will end up failing, but starting off the fight with the government in the process.

NO WORRIES HGDSKLH I'M SORRY FOR THE NTH PROPOSAL ASK </3 I had a small pizza myself earlier though... would recommend... get yourself a treat...
Also. The card where Jo halves his own health at the start of battle, right. This is going to be a whole lot of jargon but basically he has an INCREDIBLY weird skillset: his Battle Skill does That, gives him Revive (which resets him to half health when knocked out), and negates the next 5 attacks he receives.
That's all well and good, because his abilities (+70% evasion, +100% status immunity, +50% ATK and CRIT) only activate when he's at half health or below and his Heat Action is similarly vastly improved when he is, but... it has a 99-second cooldown, making it only usable once in PVP settings. Also, in 1V1s, his damage to himself is doubled and he's very likely to knock himself out and use up his Revive.
It's also not an offensive skill despite him being an Offense-type, so on its own, it's of no use beyond the start of the battle. However, his Heat Action is offensive, only takes up 2 bars of the gauge, and has a relatively short cooldown, so you end up with this really unique card whose Heat Action you have to use as a Battle Skill.
And, you know, that's Kinda Neat, but... Arakawa's card released around the same time... almost all of his skills and abilities... are focused on building up heat as quickly as possible and advancing Heat Action cooldowns and increasing damage output...
POINT IS. THEY'RE SYNERGIZED, MAN... THROUGH AND THROUGH... But but but Jo genuinely needs Arakawa to be functional, so much more than Arakawa needs Jo, though Arakawa is so attuned to Jo in specific and makes him a much better version of himself... Hold on... I need a minute hold on... The implications of skillsets in a gacha game are getting to me...

Once upon a time, I was trying to put together a sort of "Magic is real and is a part of everyday life, with those choosing to follow the path of magic needing to summon a familiar" type of fic. The draft is wasting away in my docs and I can still remember some of the stuff I wanted to do.
Grian is a mage, who is at a sort of government mandated camp to summon his familiar, and ends up summoning two demons, Scar and Mumbo.
Scar is a slightly high tier demon, with him being around for a while and getting into his fair share of skirmishes and obviously winning since he's still around. Mumbo on the other hand, had just come into existence about 2 weeks before getting summoned and had been following Scar like a lost puppy in that time, learning a bit in the process.
And I might have made the type of demon Scar and Mumbo are act sorta like succubus/incubus but without the killing part because I don't really care for the whole 'dead from sex' thing, so I had them drain energy instead of life. Like, if you weren't careful, you might immediately pass out after or during sex and not wake up until the next morning still feeling all sore type of thing. And Mumbo not really feeding yet because 'new to existence' was going to be a big part of the three's first meeting.
I haven't touched it in a while because brain empty of ideas for it, but I might try to revise and revive it once I'm done with one of my other fics.

Scar would totally try to do Grian tho, especially if he's an incubus. Does Grian understand his advances at first? Prob not. Or just hella denies him heheh
Mumbo tryna learn so much, clings to Scar who likes to spew a lot of silly stuff. Then becomes really close to Grian learning even more things
