I can simultaneously love the episode and also understand what they were trying to do with the lack of eddie in the episode and also not like how they made that writing/directing choice to not address the lack of eddie!!! all of these are possible at once I promise!!!

Ok so here are my thoughts on the sneak peek or next week's episode:
Ignore the horrible quality screen-caps
Tumblr media
The vibes. They went to a cute Italian place which feels very homey - nothing like where buck has been on dates in the past (mainly coffee shops and bars). They split a pizza, and ordered a pitcher. Possibly beer since that's what they discussed, but honestly could also be ice tea. The napkins are used, which suggests that Tommy is either looking at a dessert menu, or the bill. If he's paying for them both, I could see Buck not knowing what to do with that.
Tumblr media
2. Tommy's face. When Buck says he's "not weirded out" Tommy gives him such a look. To me this means 'oh this man is freaking out'. I don't think Tommy realized that this was Buck's first date with a guy. Yet, Buck is smiling - so I don't think he's unhappy, just out of the comfort zone, which is to be expected. His little head shake when he admits that this is his first time seems almost embarrassed.
Tumblr media
3. This is from the next clip, when Eddie and Marisol show up. I've seen some people speculate about a double date, but this is unlikely to me because they are sitting at a 2 person table, and have already eaten, when Eddie and Marisol just arrived. It is unclear if this comes before or after the other wide shot, because there is more pizza, but less drink. Also, body language. Tommy is open and happy to see Eddie, but Buck looks like he wishes he could hide under the table. His face, his hands awkwardly on the table...
Tumblr media
4. In the clip from the call, the guy is choking buck. My screen-cap is horrible but its clear what is going on. My guess is that this is after the date, because Buck's shirt is open decently at the restaurant and it feels like the guy is latched on hard enough to bruise. Interesting choice to give Buck laryngeal trauma in the episode where he gets Italian - reminds me of Abby and the bread incident in S1.
My overall timeline for this ep goes like this:
Buck talks to Eddie about ankleggate and Eddie asks him if there's anything else and he says no
Date
starts off great
This is my first date with a dude
this was great
Eddie shows up
You're a little tense
semi-awkward ending to the date
Crazy hand call
Station awkwardness/Buck feels like hes lying to Eddie
Existential crisis with Maddie/Hen
Henren baby drama and Eddie's relationship drama
Going to go talk to Eddie
Eddie says he and Marisol broke up
End of ep
Of course with multiple scenes of Hen and Eddie's lives.

Buck babysitting Jee Yun was adorable, but what gets to me is that it seemed to come with more question marks than when he was looking after Chris in 301. Does that imply something about how often he babysat Christopher without Eddie present even before that little “intervention”? In any case, it re-affirms that even relatively early on, Buck was very much a part of the Diaz family. ~~
Tumblr media
It actually feels weird that in this entire ep, Buck is around kids, talks about kids, but doesn’t address the issue of him possibly fathering a biological kid of his own that he won’t get to raise. Is this a hint that he’s def in denial? It was especially loud because we saw him talking about Chris, while spending time with Jee Yun AND Denny. The former two make sense, but Denny? The only other time we saw Buck around Denny was in 310, when the scene was primarily about Eddie watching Chris with Buck. So it feels like it’s very pointed that he’s around more kids than usual, yet not addressing the biggest issue related to that taking place in his own life.
At the same time, to connect both of the above points, the difference between how we see Buck with Jee Yun, his actual family, in this ep, and how he’s with Denny (he’s in the same scene with him, but hardly interacts with the kid, they’re even physically separated by Hen) serves as a reminder that Chris isn’t like another colleague’s child to Buck. What they have is how Buck treats his own flesh and blood. ~~
Tumblr media
Carla reminding Eddie that the fantasy is sometimes better than the reality, when she’s the person who, in 413, encouraged him to follow his heart… Is this the show building towards Eddie’s next step on his romantic journey? IDK, but with this continued theme of him watching Christopher maturing into his own person, leaving him to find out what makes him happy outside of being a dad, it would seem to fit. ~~
Tumblr media
I loved Buck asking whether Chris isn’t too young to date, then being asked himself to reminisce about his first crush. Which was in fact way earlier (and a reminder that not every crush is about being old enough to date). It made me snicker a little, ‘coz it was such a good reminder that our boys are a bit oblivious about matters of the heart in general. And yes, it comes from an overprotective place of caring, much like Buck’s reaction to hearing that Chris is going to a summer camp in 318, but it def explains why they’re not very good at following their own heart or figuring out what it’s telling them.
At the same time, Buck asking whether Chris isn’t too young to date, followed almost immediately by Eddie saying he didn’t think his son was old enough to kiss others, screamed VOLUMES to me about how much these are both Christopher’s dads. They literally have the same reaction where no one else from the team does. This cannot be accidental or meaningless. Especially when paired up with the fact that it’s Buck who Eddie looks to first to sooth his apprehension over Chris kissing someone, and he only turns to the other teammates when his work husband is being a bit of a tease and refuses to give Eddie the reassurance he seeks... Flirting at your place of work on top of being obvious co-parents, seriously? ~~
Tumblr media
I loved Buck’s comment about the song “It’s Raining Men.” It wasn’t just a funny comment on its own, it was also a nod to a gay anthem. One of the most well known as well as one of the earliest ganthems (that should be a word), in fact. So while it’s not a clear indication of anything about Buck’s sexual identity, it is an added hint in a long series of hints that he isn’t straight. And to add to that, when Buck makes that comment, it’s Eddie who’s there by his side to make one of his iconic faces at that. They’re not just battlefield boyfriends, they’re battlefield husbands, exasperated eye roll included. ~~
Tumblr media
NGL, May and her crush Darius realizing where they’d rather be, or better yet with whom, after their ordeal with Erik very much reminded me of 414. Buck CHOSE to fully integrate himself into Eddie’s life and be by his side in every way that counts, while he literally saw Taylor and immediately started walking in the opposite direction, while Eddie broke up with Ana shortly after. It kills me that they still don’t get what stuff like that means. Literal bozos. ~~
Tumblr media
Eddie threatening to only speak to Carla about stuff related to his son growing up might have been said in jest, but it also served as sort of a set up for her being the one to stay with Eddie and watch Chris outside the dance. And I adored that scene, with that soft look on Eddie’s face, his moving words! Yet, I can’t see either this arc, nor Buck’s with the sperm donation, being complete without the two of them having a real conversation about what’s going on with them and their respective parental journeys. Especially not after the Buddie stuff we got in 5b which locked them in as each other’s person forever. There’s no coming back from that stuff. So I can only assume that it is coming in 6b. And hopefully, it will be all the more emotionally effective for how long we have to wait for it. Hey, that’s the whole point of a slow burn to begin with, right? ;)
~~ Thank you to everyone liking, reblogging and especially those who consistently reblog these meta posts, you own a small piece of my heart. I wouldn’t be writing a meta post on a day when I’m sick AND working a double shift if it wasn’t my way of saying thank you. I really love and appreciate you all. Also mad love to @whosoldherout for once again slaying with her amazing gifs, and just for being so wonderful. xoxox

Talking Buddie Language: Ep 6.17
Well friends, we’re almost done with season sex, I mean six! It’s honestly been such a rollercoaster journey, one in which we’ve had great moments and some not so great ones. I’m really looking forward to the finale episode and seeing how they’re going to tie everyone’s storylines for this season and how they’re going to set up their upcoming arcs for season 7. There was a lot of foreshadowing and parallels in this episode that I believe will play a pivotal role for Buddie’s eventual romantic pairing. So I’m just going to get into this week’s meta!
Proposal Gone Wrong
The proposal gone wrong was kind of sad in my opinion. I mean you don’t necessarily need to do something drastic to assure your significant other will respond positively. It kind of creates this notion in which the other person feels forced to say yes because you did that grand gesture, which is exactly what happened here. The guy proposed to his girlfriend of 2 years by jumping off a building, got stuck in a freak accident and she said yes because she felt like she had to. The little moment she had with Eddie and Chim is what I want to focus on a bit here.
E: So what do you wanna do?
M: I guess I’ll wait a few months and then break it off.
Now the reason I bring this up is because doesn’t this remind you of something else? Didn’t Eddie also date Ana for months and thought he should keep going only because his kid loved her? He waited and then broke it off when he knew it wasn’t right for him. Now this can also possibly foreshadow his next relationship if he decides to actually give Marisol a chance. I mean I’ll go more into that later on. But I think if he does date her, possibly out of fear of being alone, it can easily be assumed that he’ll wait a few months before he breaks it off because deep inside he knows she’s not the one for him. I just feel like this line not only wanted us to remember Eddie’s been there but that it’s possible he’ll be in a position like this again.
Buck and Eddie Acting Like Idiots
The scene at the station was so funny and I love how we once again got to see how in tune Buck and Eddie are with each other. Not only were they both wearing the blue and green once again, but they were finishing each other’s thoughts once more, thus reminding everyone how in sync they always are.
E: I gotta figure out how to say no to another date my Tia set me up with.
B: Just download a dating app.
E: I did but I can’t bring myself to open it.
Hmm well this reminds me of someone else. Didn’t Bobby make a whole firefighters dating profile back in season 1? And he didn’t even end up using it. So that can parallel the fact that Eddie also downloaded a dating app but still has yet to actually use it. This was only the beginning of Eddie’s storyline heavily mirroring Bobby’s from season 1 and I’ll go more into it in a bit!
We also have Buck and Eddie finishing each other’s sentences like they’re this old married couple. They’re always on the same wavelength and it drives me crazy because with each episode we are reminded how perfect they are for each other.
E: Get the insurance money.
B: Buy a new ring and propose.
Tumblr media
Eddie’s Attempts At Finding a Date
I really can’t help myself but laugh at how much gayer Eddie gets with and every episode. The entire little failed dating, well no I should say attempts at finding dates, was so sad. How can a man who looks that good with that dump truck fail at attracting women?? Well his little gay outfits didn’t help either. When have we ever seen that man in anything other than a Henley? I didn’t even know Eddie was capable of having such tight clothes like that lol.
The thing that makes me laugh is that he’s trying to find a person to date at places he wouldn’t normally be. Golfing? I do not believe for one second Eddie would play golf nor would he the kind of guy who’d find enjoyment in doing it with a partner. So the fact that we got to see him “put himself out there” but not really make any actual attempts really just highlights that he’s open to finding love but is kind of going about it the wrong ways. And he’s still lying to his son about it considering he told Chris he was running errands lol.
Buck and Natalia Give It Another Shot
I find it very interesting that Buck took Natalia to a bar of all places on a date. The only times we’ve seen him in a bar setting in relation to other love interests were when he hooked up with Taylor in s2 and when he kissed Lucy in s5. So to bring Natalia on a date here really makes me question what his reasoning behind that idea was.
B: This seemed as good as a place as any for you to get to know the real Evan Buckley.
L: Really? I have a few stories.
Tumblr media
Lucy interrupting his date and then proceeding to tell Natalia all about her history with Buck in so many words was a literal sign from the universe. Not only did we get Natalia already judging Buck for his past but also questioning him when he was being honest and genuine about his past whatever with Lucy.
B: Uh hey, what do you think the tip is?
N: They gave you 3 options right down here. You alright?
B: Yeah no I don’t know why I couldn’t figure it out.
N: You’re flustered.
B: It was nothing I promise.
Tumblr media
I think the fact that Buck just can’t do math all of a sudden to be such a bold choice of the writers. His entire math superpowers were connected to Eddie and Christopher. He realized he was the guy with the answers while looking at his Diaz boys. Then Eddie even took him out to put those newfound powers to good use all dressed up. So there was no need to mention that he can’t figure out the correct too amount while he’s with Natalia unless it was deliberately done to empathize how he clearly doesn’t have the answers while he’s with the wrong person. It was such an obvious random thing that wasn’t so random when you think about the connection to his math powers and what it can mean.
Natalia also wrongly assuming he can’t figure out the tip because he’s flustered just further proves she doesn’t really see him the way he initially believed. She was skeptical and looked at him like he was hiding something away from her. Her eyes were disbelieving which isn’t a great foundation to start a new relationship on.
Even the color theory checks out here to further confirm Natalia is not the one for Buck. Both dates they’ve been on by this point, she’s been in red, whereas Buck has been in tan/beige. He’s not wearing blue at the same time she’s wearing red.
The 118 Discuss Buck & Eddie’s Dating Lives
Once again I absolutely adore each and every time we see the 118 discuss their personal problems/lives in the truck. This was the scene we had spoiled to us months ago and it was definitely different than what we all were expecting!
B: Does she request to not come back?
Tumblr media
Eddie’s side eye during Buck asking about Lucy is totally on brand for every other time we’ve seen Eddie react to one of Buck’s old flings. Especially this season where we’ve seen him dismiss Buck any time he mentions previous lovers. Love me some jealous Eddie!
E: So your day off went as good as mine?
H: Hiking and golfing in the same day? Sounds like you were out there looking for signs too Eddie.
E: You know I don’t believe in that stuff. I want what I had when I met Shannon. It just uh, it was magic.
C: Oh so you believe in magic?
E: I believe in chemistry.
H: Ahh in science. I get it.
B: The magic, weren’t you guys in the 12th grade when you met?
E: 8th and then we lost touch. Reconnected in 12th.
Tumblr media
Eddie, oh Eddie. The fact that this man has had many different signs and he refused to listen to each and every one is worrisome because he thinks he’s looking for magic instead. Isn’t magic just another form of a sign from the universe? This man is trying to use chemistry as an excuse as to why he’s not having any luck finding someone. Well chemistry is definitely not something you force with another person. Chemistry is something that should be natural and organic and believable. To be honest, Eddie didn’t even have that much chemistry with Shannon from what we’ve seen. They were attracted sexually and that was it. They didn’t spend much time together on screen to make that chemistry between the two of them palpable enough for the audience. There’s also many different types of chemistry and they definitely had sexual chemistry but seemed to lack actual romantic and emotional chemistry.
The topic of chemistry was very poignant especially because we’ve seen time and time again how much organic chemistry Eddie has with Buck. They’ve been attached at the hip since the beginning and always gravitate to each other. Not only that but they’re both very vulnerable with each other and turn to each other in times of need, which assures emotional chemistry. We’ve also seen Eddie flirt and tease Buck many times throughout the years which indicates a form of sexual chemistry as well. Do I need to remind anyone of the kitchen scene™️ in season 3? So it is possible for Eddie to have chemistry with someone. I just believe it has to be someone he already knows and trusts. He believed he had chemistry with Shannon, who was a longtime friend of his. Well what is Buck? Surely Eddie has got to know that they have chemistry with each other. There’s just got to be something preventing him from connecting those dots to Buck.
B: Ok so that’s what it is. You suck at dating.
BN: Alright Buck, come on.
B: Ah, come on. If he met his wife when they were kids, he just hasn’t really dated.
Tumblr media
I’ve been saying for many years now that one of Eddie’s favorite past times is looking at Buck. This season especially has shown how intensified those looks have been. One thing I found interesting was that as he was talking to Buck and the team, he rarely was holding any eye contact with Buck which indicates he wasn’t all that comfortable discussing the matter. The moment in which Buck diverts his attention elsewhere, Eddie defaults to his typical fond longing looks at Buck. He looks at him for a prolonged time and only looks away when Buck turns back around. He literally looks mesmerized by Buck just talking and even lifts his brows up so slightly like one would when they’re looking at someone they adore. That in itself indicates a secret in which Eddie’s hiding from Buck and that secret may very well be his feelings for the other man.
C: So he sucks at it.
B: Yes!!
H: Clearly you’ve mastered it Buck.
Tumblr media
Eddie’s reaction to Buck agreeing with Chim is hilarious because he immediately gives Buck his patented side eyes. He feels betrayed by Buck in that moment because he’s clearly taken Buck out and he didn’t suck at that. He’s kind of looking at Buck like “Are you serious right now? You know I don’t.” It’s in the subtle way his right brow lifts up in question that makes me believe that. There has to have been a reason the show gave us Buck and Eddie on that poker date before both men started dating other women. It shows a vast difference in how successful that day was compared to their other disastrous dates with others.
Tumblr media
One more thing I would like to mention is once again Buck and Eddie’s strong mirroring. When they’re both singing the bride song, their hands and bodies are moving the same way, to the same beat. I know it can be seen as them just being silly but even though Bobby was also singing, he’s not in sync with his body as the other two clearly are lol.
Eddie and Bobby Go To The Hardware Store
Like when Eddie was dating Ana and he was sorta lying to his son about it, he’s doing the same now. He told Christopher he had been running errands when he was going places in hopes of finding a woman to date. The fact that Eddie feels the need to lie to Christopher about it shows that it’s not something he wants to be doing nor does he feel like it’s the right thing for him. There’s something about his actions that makes him feel like it’s not good enough to let his son know yet.
Eddie calling up his future father in law for help was so sweet and I enjoyed their little scene together, especially because their conversation was very important. Not only was it important but it really did scream Bathena/Buddie parallels.
Tumblr media
E: So how’s you make it happen for you and Athena?
BN: We got called to a motorcycle accident, it was a bad one. I wasn’t at my best at the time. Needed to take a minute. She sat with me. Eventually I asked her to go to church and we prayed together.
E: Wow.
BN: A few days later we had dinner, things grew from there and now we’re about to have our fourth anniversary.
E: So you definitely weren’t looking for it.
Honestly I feel like every time Bobby gives Eddie any kind of advice about his love life, Eddie just misinterprets or misunderstands what he’s trying to say lol. Bobby literally used his own example of how he and Athena came to be which immediately made me think of Eddie’s own past. We all thought of Eddie’s breakdown in season 5 and how Buck was the one who sat next to him. Eddie wasn’t at his best, he needed a minute and Buck was the one who sat next to him. Buck was the one who stayed at his house, helped with his kid, and just was there supporting Eddie in any way he could have. That whole line of Eddie telling Bobby that he wasn’t looking for it can possibly foreshadow him finally opening his eyes and realizing the one who he’s been searching for has always been someone right under his nose. Someone who he didn’t have to go and look for because they’ve always been right by his side.
Buck’s Second Disastrous Date Night
Poor Buck really isn’t listening to the universe is he? This time, during his other date with Natalia, they’re first interrupted by Taylor Kelly on TV talking about her tell all book which was inspired by a member of the 118 she was close with. Natalia quickly puts 2 and 2 together and asks Buck about it, in which he says he’ll explain over dinner. Once again, Buck is having to explain himself and kind of assure her when it’s too early in the “relationship” for her to be questioning him the way she is.
B: Uh, and-and that’s everyone. I think. I-I hope that’s not too much.
N: No. Wow that is a life well lived. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone quite like you. You’re all in about everything. It’s a lot. But I guess I can be a lot too.
Tumblr media
Buck is looking so intensely at her, trying to see if she understands where he’s coming from and if it will be a deal breaker. He smiles and nods to himself when it seems that she is understanding about his past which hurts when you realize this man just wants someone to love and accept him for all of him, the good bad and the ugly.
And then they get intruppted by Kameron coming in because of her marital issues with Connor. A literal sign from the universe. (Not even going to talk about all the 3’s we got just in this episode alone!) Natalia once again thinks it’s a lot and needs a minute to take it all in. She decides then that a person who has lived so much life and has more life to give others is too much for her. She decides to leave and tells Buck to “take care” which is the same exact thing his ex girlfriends have all said to him.
Tumblr media
Now this, to me, indicates a failed attempt at a relationship because things are never going to work out with these two. Not only was she only seemingly interested in Buck’s death, but she doesn’t even want to know more about the life he’s lived. He’s an interesting man so full of energy and love and life that it scares her and makes her want to flee. That’s not a strong foundation in which to start a relationship on and even if she were to come back afterwards, I feel as though Buck has learned from his previous relationship to not settle and compromise who he is for anyone. He’s not going to change for anyone else. Who is meant to be his partner will love him for who he is anyways. Something Natalia clearly can’t do.
Eddie and Buck Not Listening To The Signs
The end montage was funny when you look at everyone off doing what they were doing. We have all the couples together and then we see Eddie go back to the hardware store. He’s clearly looking for something and he can’t find it until someone asks him if he’s looking for soemthing.
I want to talk about Marisol and Eddie’s body language here and how different it is when they both look at each other. Marisol is being flirty and leads into him with her hips first which clearly indicates some type of attraction. Eddie on the other hand takes a step forward and then one back. He doesn’t lean into her, doesn’t prompt a hug or anything. Asks her about her ceiling which indicates he clearly remembers her from a call.
Tumblr media
M: Try this one. Works like magic.
E: This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Here she mentions magic, something in which Eddie was talking about previously in this episode. He kept saying he wanted what he and Shannon had and that was magic. Magic isn’t real. Magic is things people believe to be real and in this instance, Eddie believes what he had with Shannon was magic, when in reality it wasn’t. They worked hard for their relationship and there were a lot of ups and downs. Marisol saying that and Eddie immediately following up with how that’s what he was looking for is so important because that’s realistically what he had been searching for all episode long on those failed attempts at finding magic. Here we have a woman telling him and he just stops for a moment and thinks about it. He stops and thinks, hey maybe this is my sign. But he walks away. He stops and looks back but there’s clear confusion on his face, almost as if he doesn’t know what fo make about this little interaction. Clearly there’s something on his mind. But he turns around and keeps walking away from her while the music says “But you’re something that I must believe in and you’re there when I reach out for you.”
Tumblr media
This would’ve been the perfect conclusion to his arc this episode. He was looking for magic, it took someone else pointing it out to him to see and he believed that’s what he wanted. But he didn’t do anything about it. He simply walked away. Because he doesn’t believe in it. He doesn’t believe in Marisol or believe her to be the one for him. Because he knows if he were to reach out for help, it wouldn’t be Marisol he reaches out to, at least that’s what my interpretations were. Remember, Eddie says to Bobby, “So you definitely weren’t looking for it” and as soon as Marisol points out the thing, he tells her “This is what I was looking for.” Marisol can’t be the person he’s meant to be with because as we established with Bobby, that someone is never going to be someone Eddie looks for. It’s going to be someone who knows Eddie, someone who can sit beside Eddie when he’s at his lowest and offer their support to him. Someone that’s been under Eddie’s nose this entire time. That’s not Marisol and I think Eddie’s realizing that himself.
(Now if we were to get Eddie somehow misunderstanding this and running into Marisol later on, thinking it’s a definite sign and trying to date her, we already know it’s going to fail because we’ve seen it play out once before with Ana. So regardless, it’s not really something I’m worrying over.)
Finally we get Buck going back to his loft with the pickles Kameron asked for. He goes up to his room and sees Kameron sleeping in his bed. He looks for a moment and turns around and heads back downstairs. Now to me, the quick look he gave her shows longing for that himself. A partner to come home to and a family of his own.
Tumblr media
Buck sitting on his uncomfortable couch and eating the pickles while he looks up indicates he’s still a guest in his own home. He’s kicked out of his bed and he’s looking up once again defeated because he longs to have that for himself. This coming right after Natalia leaving him and once again being left completely alone. He’s also missing what’s right in front of him because he just doesn’t listen to the universe. He’ll get there soon, I believe in it.
So sorry for this being so late this week! I’ve been sick and work has been very very crazy. I hope anyone who is still interested and reads this enjoys it! I appreciate you all regardless. Thanks to my love @aa-lionheart for the wonderful gifs 💜 We got one more of these for the season! Manifesting for it to be good for us ✨

Hi, can I please ask for some of the essays about the cemetery talk and what we were supposed to take away from that scene? If you feel inclined, that is 💕
well i don't know if i can write an essay exactly bc tbh i still don't know for certain what we're supposed to take away from that scene. but i do know the tone of it was completely different to anything we've ever seen for buddie before and it also lasted so much longer than most of their scenes have before??? like i just went back to rewatch it to refresh my memory and it's 3 minutes???? that is an incredibly long scene for two characters to have in an ensemble show when they're literally just talking and it's not strictly moving the plot forward
but to try and break it down a bit:
i find it fascinating the way eddie reacts to buck talking about natalia. that weary, almost irritated, "really?" when buck admits he'd met up with her followed by the "dating somebody you rescued, you know what never ends well." it's So Different to the snarky way he used to react to taylor. like when he'd make comments about taylor you knew he was mostly joking or at worst, just being a little bitchy. but he sounds genuinely frustrated when buck brings up natalia. the closest thing i can compare it to is that it's a more muted version of "his fiance's abby" and we know eddie knew how deeply buck was affected by losing abby so it feels a bit like eddie is potentially annoyed bc he knows buck will probably get hurt again???
then you have buck saying the whole "i think she sees me" bit which echoes so much of buck's overarching storyline and his struggle with love in the past. and i know some people call this eddie's 'oh' moment but i definitely don't consider it an "oh i'm in love with him" moment. i feel like it's more of an "oh he doesn't see that i see him too" moment, if that makes sense?? and i think there probably is a bit of frustration with that for eddie given that the will scene is eddie as loudly and demonstratively as he can saying "i see you" y'know? nevermind all the little ways he proves he knows buck
and tbh i think my favourite part of the scene is actually the last 60 seconds because first you have eddie saying "you haven't been the same since it happened, but then again how could you be?" and it's just!!! 1) it's literally him proving he does see buck and probably knows him better than anyone else and 2) there's a very subtle hint of realisation in his voice when eddie says "how could you be" as if he's been convincing himself buck is fine this entire time (maybe post-couch nap) only for him to now realise buck really, really isn't.
tHEN he says "you don't have to be anything for anybody" and it might be my favourite words to ever come out of his mouth tbh because it's just once again emphasising the gentle way eddie lets buck be?????????? "i had to do it" "i know you did", "you knew i wouldn't" "i knew you wouldn't". eddie is So Good at offering buck a reprieve whenever he needs one and he's usually the person best able to break through all the noise in buck's head to make him understand that he's fine just existing as himself.
aND THEN eddie makes the comment about how going through near death experiences change a person and all i can think about is how after eddie's near death experience he made the decision to tell buck about his will after keeping it a secret for a year and how he never actually answered buck's question about why he kept it a secret in the first place and i have to ask, eddie diaz what changed in you???????????
combine all of that with the fact their outfits mirror what they wore in 5x14 and the absolute irony of eddie saying dating someone on a call never works out only for him to pursue marisol two eps later and just- i don't know if they pivoted bc there was a fear season 6 would be the end of the series or if the last few eps were always supposed to go the way they did but this scene in 6x15 raises so many questions and i feel like i don't have the answers to any of them skjahd

Kitchen Table Talks [9-1-1 | Gen | 1/1]
Title: Kitchen Table Talks Pairing: None; mentioned pre-relationship Buck/Eddie Characters: Eddie Diaz, Christopher Diaz, Tia Pepa Wordcount: ~1500
I re-watched 6x14 last night, so have a little post-ep that wouldn't leave me alone.
-
The lights are still on in Christopher’s room when he gets home. He pulls off his shoes, drops his keys in the bowl by the door, and pads into the kitchen, where Pepa is at the sink, sleeves rolled up, cardigan draped over the back of a chair, scrubbing at a pan. La Raza is playing on the little speaker on the counter, the same station that always played at her house when he was a kid. He remembers walking in on her and his tío dancing in the kitchen to it more than once. There’s a wistfulness to that thought now, for a lot of reasons.
“Tía Pepa,” he says, shrugging his jacket off. “Come on, you don’t have to do my dishes.”
“These are my dishes, I cooked,” she says, without turning. The admonishing fondness in her voice makes him smile as he drapes his jacket over her cardigan on the back of the chair. “Go say goodnight to your son, he’s waiting up.”
“Yeah, I see that,” Eddie says, and heads down the hall before she can swat at him with the dish towel like he’s ten years old again.
Christopher is propped up against a stack of pillows in a pool of light from his lamp, his nose buried in the Stephen Hawking book that he got out of the library after his latest scientific enthusiasm strained the limits of Buck’s Wikipedia-diving skills. He sets it down when Eddie raps on the door frame.
“Hey, Dad. How was your date?”
“It was, you know.” Eddie wobbles a hand ambivalently, because he knows it’ll make Chris laugh and because he can’t exactly do that with Pepa. She really will swat him with a dish towel, date clothes and all. “It was okay.”
Chris does laugh, bonking his head back against the pillow with that sunny, beautiful grin that he inherited from his mother. “No second date?”
“No, I don’t think so.”
“Okay.”
He’s still trying to get a read on how Chris feels about all that. The dating. Eddie dating. The possibility, someday, of Eddie getting serious about someone, which seems unlikely right now, but—it could happen. Someday. He never thought he’d miss the broken salad bowls and the stolen phones and the secret Uber rides, but Chris hasn’t been giving anything away, and that’s almost worse.
Or maybe he’s just using his son as an excuse again. It wouldn’t be the first time.
“Okay. So maybe it’s time you put the book away, huh?”
“I’m not finished reading it,” Chris says, flapping the pages at him.
“You’re not gonna finish it tonight. Come on, it’s after ten.”
“Barely.”
“Yeah, and you have school in the morning, mijo, get to sleep.”
Chris heaves a sigh like he’s the most beleaguered kid in the world, but he takes the bookmark off his night stand and tucks it between the pages. Eddie slips into the room to turn off the light and press a kiss to the tousled crown of his head, and he doesn’t protest that as an affront against his preteen dignity either, so that’s something.
“Good night, Christopher.”
“Good night, Dad,” Chris says on another deep sigh, and flops over onto his side. Thus dismissed, Eddie stifles his laughter and retreats out into the warm light of the hallway.
The pan is in the drain and Pepa is at the table with half a glass of wine when he comes back into the kitchen. She raises her eyebrows at him, and Eddie fights not to hunch his shoulders like a kid sneaking in late. Or, in this case, early.
“You didn’t stay very late, she observes.
“We had dinner,” Eddie protests, because he’s trying, okay. He put on a suit and he went out for dinner and drinks with the daughter of another one of Pepa’s friends—Isabella, 31, veterinary tech with freckles and a fondness for hiking and live theater—and he really did try to see if there was something there other than a nice meal and some pleasant conversation with a stranger he’s never going to see again.
There wasn’t. There never is.
“So what was wrong with this one?”
“Nothing,” Eddie says honestly, in the least exasperated tone he can manage. His tía loves him. She wants him to be happy. She’s making a lot of effort to set him up on dates he doesn’t really want to be on with people he doesn’t really want to be dating, because she wants him to be happy. It’s his own fault that he keeps agreeing to them when he knows they’re not going anywhere. “Nothing, Pepa, she was a really nice woman. They’ve all been really—nice women.”
He doesn’t really mean the last word to come out with an emphasis, but it does. He can hear it the moment it leaves his mouth, and he can see it land. Pepa narrows her eyes thoughtfully. An echo of that old fear rises up to choke him, but he swallows it down.
His tía loves him. She wants him to be happy.
She’s quiet for a long moment, looking at him. Then, in a cautious tone that is very unlike her, she says, “My friend Yolanda—I don’t know if I ever mentioned her—she has a nephew about your age. Very handsome. He works at one of those boat companies, you know, that do the whale watching tours—”
A helpless, breathless burst of laughter escapes Eddie. He collapses into a chair, braces his elbows on the table, and buries his face in his palms. After a moment, Pepa reaches over to pat his arm.
“Should I not have said that?”
“No, it’s—you’re not. You know. Wrong.” He lifts his head, finally, just enough to rub both his hands over his face.
“Is that why the dates haven’t been working out?”
“No. I mean, not exactly.” He lifts his head to meet her warm gaze. She pats his arm again, then slides her wine glass over.
“Here. I think you need this more than me.”
Eddie takes a deep breath, nods, and takes it. “Thanks.”
“So should I—”
“I don’t think it’ll be any different with your friend Yolanda’s nephew,” he blurts, because if he’s going to own up to it he might as well own up to all of it.
“His name is Matias.”
“Okay. With Matias. I don’t think it’ll be any different.”
“Edmundo.” She sounds exasperated now, which is easier to deal with than that careful tone. Eddie takes a swallow of wine and avoids her eyes. “How are you going to know if you don’t try?”
“I know, I know, I just…” he sighs. “There’s somebody.”
“Somebody, like, a boy somebody?”
“Really, Tía Pepa, a boy, you make me sound like I’m Christopher’s age, come on.” He’s laughing though now, full of relief that feels almost giddy. Later, maybe, he’ll stress about this again. Probably he will. But for now, despite Pepa’s loving meddling—or because of it—he’s glad he finally told her. Or at least cracked the closet door enough for her to figure it out on her own.
“Well, you’re acting like you’re Christopher’s age.” She leans back in her seat, folding her arms and arching an eyebrow at him. “So? Tell me about him.”
“He’s not—we’re not together.”
“Obviously, or you wouldn’t be letting me set you up with every woman your age in Los Angeles. Tell me anyway. I want to know who captured my nephew’s heart. Make sure he’s good enough for you.”
For a reckless instant, Eddie thinks about actually telling her. She knows Buck, and she’s kindly inclined toward him after all of Christopher’s glowing stories about zoo trips and school bake sales, plus that time when Buck came with Eddie to help out with a (non-fabricated) plumbing issue in the basement. She’d fuss some more about it—can’t you find a nice Mexican boy, Edmundo?—but not seriously. It might be nice to say it out loud for a change.
Still. There’s some absurd little part of himself tucked away behind his ribs that thinks maybe, just maybe, he’ll eventually work up the courage to tell Buck the truth about how he feels, and that if he ever does, Buck should be the first person he says it to. It’s a toss-up whether or not he’ll ever actually manage it, but Pepa knows now that he likes men and the world hasn’t ended, so anything’s possible.
“Not yet,” he says finally.
“Not yet?”
“I’m not ready yet.”
“Excuses. I told you. You’re never going to be ready.”
“I don’t know. I think—maybe. Maybe I will. Sometime soon. But not yet.”
Pepa purses her lips at that. For a moment, he thinks she’s going to argue some more, but finally she sighs, kisses her fingertips and presses them to his cheek, then cups it in her warm palm.
“Okay,” she says finally. “I won’t set you up on any more dates. For now.”
“Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me. This boy, whoever he is—you should tell him. Or you should let him go.” She shakes him a little—gently, fondly, then releases him. “You can’t live your entire life for a dream, Eddie. You deserve something real.”
Trust his tía to never pull her punches. Eddie laughs, rueful, and lifts the wine glass to his lips again.
“I’ll think about it,” he says, and almost lets himself mean it.

____________________________
Halloween was your favorite event of the year, no doubt. Hawkins was also a fan of the tradition, decorations started in mid-September, and lasted until the first days of November.
You worked at the local theater, and during that time, it was the best job, the theater had orange lights, fake webs, and apple caramel popcorn. Sometimes you’d let Steve and a random date have free entries, sometimes it was the bunch of kids; Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and the hellfire club, also your friends. It was curious, that Eddie and you never watched a movie together in the theater, because he preferred to stay with you in the cashier, eating popcorn, and switching the songs that played at the entrance, he mostly played rock music since you told him that metal didn’t fit the vibe of the vintage theater.
He would drive you home and watch you bake a pumpkin pie for his campaigns. Even so, you weren’t dating yet, which awakened some insecurities in yourself. Not that you had tons of insecurities, but sometimes it felt like Eddie wasn’t sure to start a serious relationship with you. He liked you for sure, it felt so real when he flattered you and made time to spend with you, but, it wasn’t official yet.
Carrie was set to be the movie of the day, it was Tuesday the 29th, Halloween was on two days, and you didn’t have any plans, you hoped to spend the night with Eddie at his place, maybe even go out trick or treating. Anyways, it was Tuesday, almost 6:00 pm, and people were buying their tickets to see Carrie.
“The movie wasn’t even that spooky” Robin sighed behind you, seated on some small stairs beside the popcorn machines.
“I think girls liked it more than the guys…” you say pointing at the variety of girl groups. “Thanks and enjoy the movie…”
The customer smiled at you and walked away with his food.
“Oh shit, I’m not here!” before you can understand your friend’s words, you see the guy who just bought you food walking towards the hallways with more people, and you notice the red-haired Vicky, Robin’s crush. Then you look down at Robin, she’s clinging around your right leg, making you laugh.
“Dude, she’s gone. Don’t worry” your friend shrugs relieved, and you laugh patting her hair. When you turn again to attend to the next person on the line, you’re surprised to see Chrissy Cunningham greeting you with a cute smile.
“Hi, Chrissy!” she smiles and you’re surprised to see she’s not wearing her usual cheerleader attire.
“I knew you worked here but this is the first time I see you” her kind tone makes you realize how sweet she is, no wonder why she is so popular and had tons of friends.
“Curious, I feel like I’ve been here forever… apparently not” you respond giggling and she joins join, she chats a little, and at the end she asks for a blueberry slushie and the apple caramel popcorns. “I wanted to come yesterday with my friend Donna but she had this date with Eddie Munson”
What?
“Donna and Eddie? That metalhead! he didn’t said anything!” you try to sound calm and fun, but your anxiety and jealousy are creeping over.
“Yeah, she said they had a good time, and Eddie wanted to teach her to play guitar” you smile and exchange some words with the blond girl, then, she thanks you and walks away. Robin stands beside looking at Chrissy going away while she mumbles with a negative sound.
“That asshole! he and his mop hairs think they can play with your emotions?” you stay quiet, processing what just happened. Yesterday Eddie drove you home and said he would call you in the night, as usual. But he never told you anything about Donna.
“Maybe it wasn’t a date…” you try to reason, but she gently pushes you, so you look at him.
“Dude, it’s Donna Benson. Like, the second most popular cheerleader with the hottest lips in Hawkins” she yells whispering. Making you grab a cloth to clean the counter, unconsciously making it a little harder than you should.
“Thanks, Robin. That makes me feel so much better, for sure” she sighs and makes you stop cleaning, putting a hand over yours.
“What I meant it’s that she is a girl that every guy and girl wants, I wouldn’t be surprised if Eddie was a womanizer. But, you are you, you are amazing, you have more than just physical beauty, so fuck Munson. If he calls, you tell him that whatever was going on between you two, it’s over.” you knew she was right. You felt pretty enough to not care about Donna’s beauty, but your heart clenched a little over the fact that Eddie was playing with you.
“Yeah, you’re right. It’s just… I thought he was the one” thankfully there were no more customers, the movie had started, it was only you and Robin.
“I know, I saw you together a lot of times. It’ll get better, just before August, you weren’t even friends.” it was enough for the day, you didn’t want to think about Eddie for the rest of the day. You grabbed your stuff and turned off the machines with Robin’s help, you would wait for the movie to be over and get a bus with your friend, who miraculously lived in the same apartment complex as you.
__
Laying on your bed while watching a Casper marathon you roll your eyes as you hear your phone ringing again. You know it’s him, it’s Eddie.
You had ignored him all Wednesday, he gave you some space in the morning, but after watching your empty seat during lunch, he was literally begging you. He chased you like a lost puppy, appearing outside of the restroom every time you asked permission in class, then he would run to your car calling you, but you ignored him.
You sigh frustrated, it’s enough after the fifth time the phone rang, you answered.
“Thank God, What’ the fuck is wrong, angel? You have ignored me for more than twenty-four hours!” you want to laugh at his exaggeration, but you’re upset.
“Eddie… If you weren’t sure to give it a try with me, you should have told me.” he is surprised by your words, especially your calm tone.
“What?” he asks in confusion, you sigh lowering the volume of the tv.
“Yesterday Chrissy Cunningham told me that you were on a date with Donna Benson.” you could feel the embarrassment and jealousy emanating from your pores.
“Oh no, no, babe!, We went to see a movie because she didn’t have any cash to pay for some weed. She had this coupon! she even brought his baby brother!” the way he sounds, makes you wonder if he’s actually desperate to convince you or not. “It wasn’t a date!, and of course, I’m going serious with you”
“Is that supposed to make me feel better?” you take his little sounds as stressed sighs. Makes you feel nervous and twirl the cable of your pink phone.
“Well, yeah…” you really wanted to spend Halloween with him, you thought that he was going to ask you to be his girlfriend since the start of October, but he kept brushing away every opportunity to make it official.
“We’ll, no. How do you think I felt when Chrissy said that Donna was over the moon for you? she was dying for you to teach her to play guitar. Great job, Munson, now you have a new girl crushing for you.” as you seat straight at the edge of your bed, you hear him lighting a cigarette, you hate how often he smokes.
“No, honey pie. You’re not understanding, I lov-“ your heart races, you weren’t sure but it sounded as if he was about to say “I love you”.
“I don’t want to understand anything. I can’t trust you if you’re gonna randomly accept girls to hang out with, including their baby siblings, that’s not fair.” it wasn’t immature your reaction, you felt your right to feel betrayed because you two said you were on a level of exclusivity.
“So whatever was going on between us, is officially over.” before he can finish saying your name, you slam your phone back in its place. For some reason, you didn’t feel like crying all night and going to school all depressed on the day of Halloween. You wanted to feel great, have fun and forget about that stupid metal head. So you grab your phone again and call Robin.
“Hey, is our third musketeer there?” she laughs.
“Steve? yeah” relieved, you stand up, instantly feeling better.
“Tell him I changed my mind. We’re going to the party tomorrow” you hear Robin telling what you just said to Steve.
“Did you cut it off with Munson?” asked Steve suddenly, making Robin yell at him. Steve’s cousin was throwing a party, he was seventeen too, so you knew half of the school was going to be there, including Eddie, since he used to sell some drugs to the guy before he joined the Waterpolo team.
“We weren’t dating yet, but yeah. We need to go to find some costumes, honey” it wasn’t a secret that Steve didn’t like Eddie, especially after seeing how well he was getting along with the boys. But in your situation, you felt a little glad, because it mean no more grumpy Steve.
“That freak doesn’t deserve my best friend. Get your ass up, we’re picking you in fifteen”
You wanted a cool costume, you could bet every girl was going to wear a black leotard and cat ears, some angels, the cheesy vampires, and this girl with vulgar bikinis.
You wanted to look hot, but mostly pretty.
__
During school hours, you spent the day hiding from Eddie, with Robin’s help, she sneaked you to his band practice, where you were safely hidden from the evil dungeon master.
Steve picked you up from the back doors since Mike told you that Eddie was waiting for you at the entrance. And then, you went straight to Robin’s house to get ready for the party because your mom let you know that Eddie called her to ask if you were coming home.
You were looking at the dress on her bed, a red ridding hood costume. It was slightly very short, puffy, and red with black over the ribs and chest, with white, alluding to a gown from the 1600s of the early colonies in America.
“Maybe the undergarments are too much” you state, Robin picked the black undergarments that barely reached your thighs. She grabs the towel on your hair and lets it fall, giggling.
“No!, it’s perfect. You look hot but cute at the same time” she grabs a brush and tosses it to you with a hair tie and a red ribbon. “I know we’ve talked about this, but… What if I see her?
You knew she was talking about Vicky, and you didn’t like the idea a lot, the girl would flirt with Robin one day, and appear with some random dude the next time. You didn’t like how much power she had over Robin, especially when they weren’t exactly friends.
“Well, you can pretend you didn’t see her, or you can say hi. I know you like her, but you have to know if she’s going to make a move, or it’s just gonna be you all the time…” she nods seating on her bed. You know she feels weird about it, she gets very nervous trying to talk with girls. But she’s your friend and you don’t want anyone to break her heart.
“Apparently it’s easier if you like dudes” you raise an eyebrow and she laughs, hinting at your point. “Okay, maybe not always is easy”
“Boys can be worst than girls, believe me. Girls are just… complicated” she nods again, and your rest an arm around her. “I suggest we shouldn’t think about it tonight. Plus, if we talk about love problems with Steve again, he’s gonna get drunk and tell us all of his failure on dates”
Robins laughs veryhard. She agrees with you and your supposition, Steve might still be a famous guy but lately, he didn’t have a lot of luck in love.
__
It was 8:40, and Eddie hadn’t seen you at the party. He asked all the Hellfire club members, including Mike and Dustin walking around the house looking for you, and Garret waiting near the entrance with Jeff to wait for you, but there was no sign of you. He wanted to see you, wanted to make up everything before the party ended. When he turned to the living room of the house, his eyes opened and he leaned on the frame that lead to the crowded living room. He spotted you dancing with Robin Buckley, Into the Groove was on some stereo, it was loud and there was a lot of teens dancing, but from all the guests, your shiny red cape was like a mirrorball, gaining more attention than the new hit from Madonna.
He could see you were wearing a mini dress, with a medium red cape and the hottest black undergarments he’d ever seen, including your black converse. You were probably drinking, because you had an orange cup in your hand, and he thought you were the prettiest girl at the party. He was glad that he did some research on your decision for the costume.
He saw Donna, who was wearing a tiger leotard, but he didn’t dare to talk to her, her friends were the jocks, the drama kids and the cheerleaders. Donna was the ideal girl; athletic, perfect hair, perfect skin, popular… but nothing new, she didn’t have anything exciting. She was just the ordinary popular chick, she wasn’t you.
Eddie kept his distance for some minutes, watching you laugh and dance. The way the cape covered your head made you look so freakin’ cute to him, he just wanted to grab your cheeks and give you the biggest kiss ever. He remembered the day you two confessed you had feelings for each other. Back in September, when homecoming was coming, you told him you liked him, and he said the same. You went together and after the event, you had the longest make-out session in his van. That night you’d agreed to give it a try to have a formal relationship.
When his mind is back at the party, you weren’t dancing anymore, Eddie looks around worried, but he realized you just were seating on the big stairs near the kitchen. Robin was gone, and it was dark enough to light up the house with purple and orange lights, with fake webs and pumpkins scattered around the house. It was perfect to approach you, but that didn’t stop Eddie to feel his hands sweaty and his heart pounding so fast.
Eddie never felt so nervous about anything, except for you. Approaching you when he knew you were mad at him was very hard, he didn’t feel like the dungeon master, he just felt like a shy little boy.
“Hey…” it’s the first thing he says, his shyness is notorious. You shriek at his sudden appearance, but finally you just give him a little glance, nodding and trying to hide how nervous you also were.
“Hi…” you don’t know what to say, but you decide to look back at him when you see his outfit. His wearing some black jeans, a black sweatshirt and a lumberjack sweater, his usual rings, and accessories but… you laughed so hard when you noticed some werewolf ears and his nose painted with a little circle on the tip. “Wow, very much a coincidence that you are a wolf and I’m red ridding hood”
“Yeah, well…” he got so blushed when you pointed at his costume. “Let’s say mini Wheeler heard his sister jumbo Wheeler that you told her you were gonna be dressed as red ridding hood”
“Good for you, Munson” you state, still laughing, standing up from the stairs, trying to make your way downstairs, away from him. You loved the idea that he basically sent Mike to stalk you and Nancy but, that didn’t change anything.
“No, wait” he slightly pushes you back, stopping you by grabbing your arm. You roll your eyes, obeying him, taking a seat on the stairs again. “I was gonna tell you yesterday, but thankfully you hung up before I said it”
“I really like you, angel. I trust you and you demonstrated how much you care for me since I met you. I swear to you that I’m not interested in having a bunch of girl fans behind me, I only want you” he smiles looking at you pouting, he knows you do that when you’re feeling emotional. So he carefully grabs your chin to make you look directly at him.
“I know, it’s just… you are my first love, Eds. I’m scared to get hurt, all the books I’ve read have given me the highest expectations, and reality thought me it’s the opposite” you sound calm, but a little worried, choosing the best words to make him understand you.
“I feel the same, I’m not good with emotions, and suddenly you are the first girl who cares for me, wants to see me succeed, who makes wanna take a daily shower” the way you start laughing makes him go all heart eyes for you.
“Eddie, that’s gross.” he takes a seat beside you, taking your hands. You can feel a lot of eyes on you, there’s no secret that you’re almost relationship with Eddie Munson was so startling for half of Hawkins.
“I’m even willing to quit smoking for you, I know how much you hate it” your eyes go wide open, so you stroke your hands on his.
“No!, just… just do it when you really need it, like a serious stress or relaxing moment, You know?” he nods, smiling while looking at the crowd, for some seconds, he forgot he was at a Halloween party.
“Oh yeah! What I was about to say when you hung up yesterday was that… I love you.” instantly, you go and hide your face on his neck. He laughs and makes fun of you. “ Aw, babe! you are all red! You look so fucking cute” his arms trap you, but you are still able to playfully punch his chest.
“Shut up!…” then it hits you.
He just said he loves you.
“I-… I love you too. But I don’t want to see you taking any more girls as payment for weed” he nods constantly, and when you separate, his hand is at your cheek, and you know he’s about to kiss you. “Not that I’m showing how toxic I can be, but… you’re mine”
“So… Would you officially date me?” you nod happily, connecting your lips together.
Oh my god, Eddie Munson is going official with me. He’s kissing me with Lay All Your Love on Me playing at the party!
“I can taste liquor from your mouth” his lips were soft and he tasted like alcohol, and chocolate, making your heart warm.
“And you taste like vodka, honey pie” he kisses you again before standing up and offering you a hand.
“I wanna go dance before the song is over. I need to show Donna that you’re already taken” Eddie laughs very hard at your words, and pull you closer, whispering in your ear.
“I’m serious, I only have eyes for you” turning to your right, you leave a little kiss on his cheek. Then you grab his hand and pull him to dance.
Eddie Munson is the worst dancer, but you love it. It’s perfect, as he spins you and constantly kisses you on the cheeks, forehead, or lips.
You can see Donna Benson looking at you two, and you know she’s pissed, but it’s not your fault, she just choose the wrong metal head to like.
In a matter of seconds, you completely forgot about the party, Donna, everyone, it’s just you and Eddie. The way he caress your hips as you sway to the old tune of Five Ten Fiftyhold, and his sneaky hand starts to go up, through the curve of your waist, his chest against your back. The moment makes you rest your head on his chest, and then his hand is brushing over the edge of your breast, landing on the cleavage of your costume. You open your eyes when you realize you were about to let out a moan.
He set you on fire, and he knew it.
You turn to face him, and your smash your lips against his, its a dirty kiss. The way his hand gently takes your neck, and your fingers sliding through his hair, makes you wonder how badly he wants you. So you stand on your tip toes, with your lips barely touching his neck, near his ear. “I want you to make love to me, Eddie”
“Holy shit…” he whispers, squirming. He knew how hot you could be, but this was the the most intense moment of all. Nothing could replace the strong urge to take you, the way he was already throbbing at your touch and words. Since you started courting, he never pushed you to have sex, at the end, he was a virgin too. He wanted to make it special, or let it happen in the right moment. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, Eddie. I feel on fire” that’s enough for him, he takes you hand and makes you exit the party, directly going to his van. “I want you to make me yours…”
“Fuck, let’s get the fuck out of here” You don’t worry about Robin or Steve, they look too drunk at one table, with piles of beer, they look like they’re laughing and crying at the same time.
When you get into his van, he stays quiet for a couple of minutes.
“I can’t believe this” you glance at him, as he turns on the vehicle.
“What thing?” he shrugs giggling.
“This, you and me.” his hand lands on your thigh, making you moan in the darkness of his car. “I’m am going to make you so happy, love”
“I can tell. But go on, this dress is not going to disappear by itself” he gives you a dirty look, and you pat his hand away.
“Ew, creep” he starts driving as he laughs and puts some of his cassettes.
“Oh, but you are the one making nasty comments that make my dick get hard as a rock” he looks at you as you stay in the red light, and he knows he’s so deep in love.
“I’m excited to meet him for the first time” you two burst in laugh.
“Okay, but those undergarments stay on” you nod and remember something else.
“Oh and the lingerie too!” Eddie pretends to be shocked, but in reality he is shocked, he was so hard that it was becoming painful.
“There’s also lingerie?” your fake innocent nods are tempting, and the way you are pulling up your dress to let him see a bit of your exposed legs, with the contrast of the black undergarments. It’s killing him.
“Red transparent chiffon” he pretends he dies and then wakes ups when the traffic light goes green. “And what about some red ridding hood role-play?
“I’m going over the fucking speed limit. We need to get to your home as soon as possible” his joke causes you to giggle. “As ridiculous as it sounds. I’m gonna make love to you, but I’ll fuck you so hard too”
“Oh my god! Eddie just drive and shut up” he loves your laugh, he loves to tease you, he loves you so much. “Anyways, keep teasing me… I love it”
Halloween of 85’, was such a dream.

Ep 3
The Caricature Car
Lucas let out a shudder as they exited a door and came to the outside of the car. "Can we take a moment to look around before falling headfirst into something? That was the grossest thing I've ever experienced."
"I tripped", Steve rolled his eyes. "And it wasn't that bad."
"Not that bad?!", Lucas' eyes bugged out.
"Didn't realize you had such an aversion to jello", Eddie grinned.
"That was not jello, that was aspic. Which is just one of the many crimes your people have to eventually answer for", Lucas said while walking the bridge between the cars.
"Who's people do you think he means?", Steve asked.
Eddie patted his shoulder. "I'm gonna wager he's bemoaning the cuisine that many suburban white moms seem to favor. The fact you didn't flinch at beef suspended in gelatin tells a lot about you."
Lucas got to the next door first. "Just watch your step next time."
He opened the door and immediately walked through a scanner. Lucas groaned at his luck while Steve let out a big and smug 'Ha!'.
"What sort of contraption be this?", Chadwick walked in next, but moved around the scanner, as did Steve and Eddie.
All four of them watched in awe as a giant printer sounded and a paper flew from the output. It fluttered until it landed right in front of Lucas. A life size drawing of him with exaggerated features.
"Hey, it's like one of those things you get at an amusement park", Steve snapped his fingers in recognition.
"Honestly not the worst thing to walk into", Eddie put his hands in his pockets as he leaned in to take a closer look at the drawing.
"What are you looking at, freak?", the drawing said, making Eddie jump back, nearly into Steve's chest.
"What the...?", Lucas took a step back.
The drawing stepped off the paper and Chadwick drew his sword. "Stand back, villain!"
"What's he supposed to be? The Tin Man?", Caricature-Lucas said with a sneer.
"Wow, it's like looking at twins", Steve said sarcastically.
"You're taking this so well, it's almost attractive", Eddie said.
Steve would've replied with something he hoped to be clever, but he was caught on Eddie's words.
"Okay, granted, this is probably just as weird as everything else we've seen, but it's still majorly MESSED UP!", Lucas shouted.
Chadwick began to panic. "What evil! I can't tell which is which!"
"Oh give me a break", Lucas groaned and started to walk. The door to the other side wasn't far. It was visible in the distance. Caricature-Lucas followed.
"Why am I going along with these two? A has been and a wannabe?"
Eddie leaned over to Steve. "Am I the has been or the wannabe?"
"Is either good?", Steve asked, tolerating the drawing because surely they'd be able to leave it once they left the car. Then again, Chadwick was able to come with them.
"Steve and Eddie are my friends", Lucas said. "And you don't look anything like me!"
"You're friends with them? I thought the whole reason we joined the team was so we'd stop being bullied. Isn't that why we're doing the basketball camp?", Caricature-Lucas pressed. His paper limbs make crinkly sounds as he walked.
"He's doing the camp because he wants to get better at his game, right Lucas?", Steve said coming up beside him.
"Yeah, I do...But what if getting better means I turn into that?", he asked while gesturing to his paper self.
"I'm what you wanna be", Caricature-Lucas stood in front of him, blocking his way. "Jason was crazy in the end, but you looked up to him. He has everything you want."
"Not everything. And I didn't want to be anything like him."
"Good as basketball, popular, he was able to get the whole town to rally behind him. If you stood up in a crowd and tried that, I don't even think your friends would get behind you."
"Hey, back off", Steve said, pushing the drawing. It felt exactly like shoving paper, ineffective.
Caricature-Lucas continued. "I bet if Jason had shot you that night-"
Eddie roared and took Chadwick's knife, slicing through Caricature-Lucas. Steve took one of the halves and started ripping it into even tinier pieces.
"Fuck that guy", Eddie spit on the lifeless shreds. Then he turned to Chadwick with a low bow. "My apologies for taking your blade without permission.
"None taken, Sir Eddie. I only wish my own hand had been much quicker. How dare he question Sir Lucas' honor and worth?"
"You guys...just ripped me to pieces", Lucas said, looking at what had been himself, all over the ground.
"Lucas, that wasn't you", Steve said. "It was literally a caricature."
"Yeah and a bad one", Eddie added. "Your ears aren't that big. Now if it was my talented hand, I would bring the attention to your strong brow and perfect row of teeth, but that's just me. We can't all be skilled artists."
"Skilled artist my ass, I've seen your doodles", Steve said, stepping over the shreds, towards the door.
"You wound me, good sir!", Eddie exclaimed.
Lucas watched as his number dropped and let out a sigh like a weight had been lifted up from him. He followed behind the two and Chadwick brought up the rear.
Steve’s number: 159
Eddie’s number: 257
Lucas’ number: 25

AIN'T TALKIN BOUT LOVE - EP. 1
Citizens of Vanhalenville, WELCOME to Ain't Talkin Bout Love - a pile of rambling that I'm pretending is my podcast, where we talk about ANYTHING but love for our creatures 👺
Just kidding... obviously I love them down lmaooo. This'll be a lighthearted situation type deal. To get this disclaimer out the way, I am not anti David anti Sammy or anti Gary, I'm pro them all, so if I happen to be ripping into Samuel (which I will be 🤣,)that is not a testimony of me believing in David superiority blah blah blah, they're all gonna GET THE SMOKE if necessary. (Especially DAVID 🤣)
🙄. The fact I even have to disclaim that makes me chuckle but you know how it e-is , you always get a select few that suddenly possess all-knowing oracle powers and can tell you who you hate or don't hate 🔥🧠🔥‼️
ANYWAY let's get this shitshow on the road, hello I'm Raeyeon, call me Rae...or if calling me keefsteef tickles your tingle fine🤩... whatever works🤩...
TODAY, we'll be chatting about one of the possible reasons for the notorious "Alexander doesn't speak to Samuel" ordeal that quite frequently makes blog cameos in the form of some snarky joke. But really, it's hard to chuckle at as a citizen of alexanderopolis, because that just means he'll keep hiding from us 😭 kiss seeing him playing drums in the sun GOODBYE, BELOVED...
So to briefly recap it if you aren't aware, Samuel wants to do a reunion (yes, I know without Edward it'd be extremely bittersweet, but nonetheless still a nice tribute) but Mr. Alexander Arthur Van Halen is NOT DOWN FOR IT, and will not return any emails or calls.
I know we can easily put grieving at responsibility for this, which at this point I'm sure is the case, but correct me if I'm wrong, Samuel hadn't been keeping in contact with Alexander even when Edward was still around. I knowwww obviously the drama over the leaving of the band has a huge role, but here are MY PERSONAL SPECULATIONS 😩‼️
Samuel, beloved...I'm not delusional enough to think you'd read this, but talking in the pov that you are...there's plainly things you KEEP TO YOURSELF when you expect to keep a friendship.
The majority of us are probably aware of his book called RED where he spills tea (a bit too much tea in my opinion 😩) and what not, the extreme of it regarding Edward and his drug usage. I also saw the way he went about it to be quite insensitive, it almost felt like a haha let's laugh at this crackhead type of storytelling than a "gee eddies far gone and I feel bad".
I'm SURE he meant it to be more of a feel bad situation, but he's human, humans fuck up and make mistakes.
This was a big fuck up lmaooo. We KNOW Alexander loves his brother, and I personally think that he's well enough of a grown man to not hold a silly grudge over leaving...quitting... kicking out, whatever drama. (I've already shared my THOUGHTS on that fiasco 😭)
I think he's refusing to contact Samuel, because he's probably hurt about the way he aired Edward out.
I would be too. I wouldn't want to talk to anyone that seemed to kick my blood when they were down. Samuel is an INTELLIGENT MAN, so every time I hear him go "lol idk why he won't call me back"
BELOVED 👺👺👺👺🔪🔪🔪🔪, DON'T ACT DENSE!
Obviously...I am a stranger and obviously this is my observative opinion, Samuel could've apologized to Alexander already and in Taurus fashion he pulled a "forgiveness granted, trust and friendship denied" move, but if that's not the case...
SAAAAMMMUELLLLL needs to stop trying to force a music reunion, and instead needs to invite Alexander to Cabo and talk things out man to man. (And maybe take selfies for vanhalenville 😩😩🤩💅🏽🤪)
Neither of them are getting any younger, and it just saddens me to think of the possibility they'll never talk again. But yeah, I see that Samuel has quite the tendency to enjoy opening his mouth and sharing stories...but he really needs to have a bit more awareness about the type of stories he shares.
I'm sure there's things to talk about without getting all down and dirty and personal. Take notes from Michael Anthony 😩‼️
Anyway...this was quite a WAY TO KICK OFF WASN'T IT 🤣. I've been wanting to have a little chitter chatter about this for the longest time, but I wanted to sort of establish myself as a blog first so I wouldn't get "you hate Sammy" accusations 😭
I loooove Mr. Red Rockers curly headed self, but he for real needs to quit playing these games and make things right. An apology, if he's already given it, means nothing when you continue to do what you apologized for.
THANKS FOR TUNING IN 🤩❤️, NEXT we'll talk about Mr. Diamond David Gigolo Tarzan Atomic Punk Whoever Whatever Lee Roth!
I've got some interesting things to expand on about him...word in the STREETS is on the 1978 tour, he was really just a cute cozy little bookworm and all that hooping blabber mouth persona was just that... A persona.
MUAH!

I know I’m biased because I want Buddie to be together but I’m sorry this storyline with Natalia just feels so poorly written. Buck was talking (to Eddie) about her like she’s The One. When that’s not how it seemed at all on their date. It seemed like she was mainly interested in talking about him almost dying more than anything else vs actually getting to know him. Not to mention Buck also has a horrible history of dating women he's met connected to the job and none of them worked out. I don't get why the show thinks we need to see him go down that route again.
I also really didn't like that scene with Buck and Eddie in the cemetery. The show has always made it seem like Buck and Eddie know each other better than anyone. Which they reinforced that again after Buck was struck by lightening when it was only at Eddie's house he was able to sleep and open up on how he was feeling. Yet in tonight's ep in the cemetery he talks to Eddie like this woman he's known for all of 5 mins (in the grand scheme of life) suddenly listens to and understands him better than even Eddie. I mean what??? 0_o
I also didn't like how they made it seem like Eddie had no idea what's been going on with Buck when we know they spend a considerable amount of time together both at work and outside of it. And again the show made it clear Eddie was the one Buck felt most comfortable opening up to after almost dying so why wouldn't Edde and Buck have talked more about how he's been feeling since then?
Sometimes it just feels like the show runner and writers don't watch their own show.
I also felt like with that cemetery scene they're trying to further distance themselves from Buddie happening and it's just so tiring. There's so many amazing things they could be doing with Buck and Eddie, hell they could even at least make one of them bi but nope. As much as I want to see Buddie happen I honestly think the current show runner will never let it. It just feels like we're going to see them in these lack luster relationships with women until the shows finale. It sucks because no one Buck or Eddie date will ever compare to the relationship they have with each other and the show could capitalize on that but they just won't fully go there.

no you’re right, that’s how i saw it that scene too. joseph has said that eddie was haunted by chrissy’s death and not being able to do anything about it. it was his drive through the season. she was the almost that got away. so he’s telling steve not to let nancy go. i think a lot of people fail literacy skills. because chrissy and eddie’s characters are very interlinked. you couldn’t have one be part of the story without the other. chrissy is important to the story and to eddie’s character, no matter what those people say.
i fully believe that joseph, grace and mason all discussed the love triangle during one of their hangouts and came up with ideas together for their characters relationship to each other. joseph talked about eddie’s crush on chrissy being important in driving jason’s jealousy. i mean mason even made an instagram post where he said jason and eddie were childhood friends and jason was hurt when eddie started playing dnd over hanging out with jason and that mason ships jeddie? munver? surely that would have been something joseph and mason would have talked about. their characters histories together? i bet all of the actors have headcanons for their characters and dicuss those headcanons together like we do.
and the “make him pay” scene was for eddie himself and chrissy. it wasn’t eddie holding back a secret confession to steve.
Yes, Anon, yes to all. It kinda irks me how some fans tend to erase Chrissy’s importance in the story only to validate their ship. Since like she might’ve died in ep 1, but she was also the only reason why Eddie was thrown into the narrative and for me, the reason why he chose to sacrifice himself there at the end.
And I agree about the Eddie-Chrissy-Jason thing too because there was something there and since it’s the actors themselves that talk about it then it’s kinda canon because it was their thought process behind the acting choices, etc.
Which then if Joe didn’t see the last exchange with Steve as anything more than avenging Chrissy, then I think it’s a stretch to think otherwise and somehow use it to validate a ship 💁🏻‍♀️
I mean ship and let ship, but also please don’t harass hellcheer squad since we very much have rights™️

My thoughts on The Flash season 9 and the series finale.....
So an era has ended. Arrowverse finally breathed its last breath with The Flash series finale. Having followed the Arrowverse since the beginning, it feels like an end of a chapter of my life. I mean, The Flash started almost a decade ago and Arrowverse started more than a decade ago. So I have some thoughts on the series finale and season 9 as a whole.
The series finale was exactly what I thought it would be. It is a rushed end to a storyline which had plenty of promise to be better, and definitely required more time, but at least wasn't a misfire. At the very least, this deserved to be a 2 part finale because the Cobalt Blue storyline ended somewhere close to midway through the episode so the show can close out everything else. Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar, and Godspeed are just thrown in there for the sake of cameos. If this was spread across 2 episodes, we may have actually had a chance to really enjoy these villains being back. Also, it is just laughable how the villains are pitted against heroes that they have no connection to. Allegra against Thawne, Cecile against Godspeed, Khione against Zoom, and Nora against Savitar. I mean, if there was any common sense, Caitlin with Frosts' powers deserved to against Zoom, Wally should have faced up against Savitar, Cisco against Thawne, and Nora and Bart against Godspeed. But through a mixture of ridiculous storytelling and actor unavailability, we have to see weird standoffs that have no emotional weight, while Barry is off dealing with Eddie. They could have just had Barry take on all of them. Show how fast he is by fighting all of them simultaneously. But they don't do that. Instead Barry is on the defensive the entire episode, because he doesn't want to hurt Eddie, which I do understand. But it doesn't make for a great climax in the very final episode of the show. On the positive side, I am happy with how the last half of the episode wrapped up the show. Cisco, Wally, and Bart not being there is pretty ridiculous but, putting that aside, it was a fairly nice ending. One thing I was extremely glad about was that we got Caitlin back, alive and well. An OG character did not deserve to go out without fanfare, in a mad scientist suicidal experiment. The reunion of Barry and Caitlin was actually quite nice. It again makes it difficult to understand the decisions made with the character throughout the season, but I will mention that separately. I also do feel glad that they did mention that the cycle of violence between the positive and negative forces needed to stop and that Eddie did not descend into full blown villain. It was nice to see Jay Garrick back in the finale, and I liked the idea of Barry sharing his speed with others. It ended on a positive note so I don't feel angry about it, but it was an underwhelming and surprisingly small-scale finale for the Arrowverse and for The Flash.
As for season 9 as a whole, I honestly can't call it anything other than a gigantic disappointment. In quality, it probably ranks just only above season 7, and mainly because the season had 2 bangers in episode 9 and 10, and the final arc was interesting enough. But for a final season, there was a general feeling of 'what was Eric Wallace thinking' throughout the season. I feel like all of his worst impulses were executed during the season. There are so many decisions that left me perplexed. For example, I feel pretty comfortable in saying that the consensus is that people don't give a damn about Cecile and Chillblaine and them becoming heroes. Either Eric is completely deaf to those complaints or just didn't care, because he doubled down on giving them screen time during the 13 ep final season. I genuinely could not believe that we spent 1 out of 13 precious episodes on Cecile and Becky of all things. I had felt that Mark had improved as a character in season 8, but during the Red Death arc, Mark was back to his infuriating self. The relationship between Mark and Khione was so toxic for a good chunk of the season. The decision to have Khione was a bizarre one itself. I have read interviews about how Eric had a 2 season plan, which he had to cut and condense down to 13 episodes, and maybe he had grander ideas for Khione, but given that he knew it was 13 episodes, the fact that he still decided to introduce Khione into the final season was perplexing. I don't dislike the character, but we don't have any major emotional investment in her, other than the fact that she's sweet and naive. The show never gave us an explanation as to how Caitlin and Mark's cryogenic experiment failure led to a goddess being born. Whole thing made no sense. And its infuriating that Caitlin had the easiest layup for a character arc in the final season, that was ignored in order to have Khione. Caitlin ended season 8 having gone through severe trauma of Deathstorm and then losing Frost. The final season arc for her really should have been about her gaining Frosts' powers, learning how to deal with her grief, and then taking on the Frost mantle in team Flash as a tribute to her sister. Instead, they jumped over that and Caitlin returns to the living as someone who just has suddenly gotten over all of her trauma and grief.
The way the season was structured was bad. Easily, the final arc and the crossover episode was the best part of the season. But it was too rushed. It should have been the only arc for the season with only 13 episodes. Red Death was pretty ordinary and rushed itself. It was trying to be both a Red Death arc and a Rogues arc. Unfortunately, it failed at both. For one thing, the show has exhausted its list of best rogues. So instead of having Snart, Rory, Trickster, Weather Wizard etc... we were left with Hartley, Goldface, new Captain Boomerang, Murmur, Birch, Wozzeach, and Chillblaine. Now, Hartley is an enjoyable character, and Goldface is not too bad, but the rest is a pretty sad group of Rogues. And then we have Red Death, whose backstory probably deserved to be shown, and is instead just told. I like Javicia Leslie as Ryan on Batwoman, but she is awful as Red Death Ryan. Its the most cringeworthy villain performance on the show since Cicada and potentially worse. The only enjoyable parts were Barry working with Hartley and Goldface. That had some fun moments, and the premiere time loop episode was fun. But the arc overall should have been done away with, because it doesn't add much to the larger story, and the character beats could have been inserted into the Cobalt Blue story by expanding it. The three fillers are inexplicable in a final season. Maybe Grant had a clause to how much they could shoot, but it also goes to the choice of stories they decide to tell. I mean, I go back to the choice of having an entire episode about Cecile and Becky. This was very much a 'what was Eric Wallace' thinking episode. I definitely think that the choice to make Cecile a powered individual was the worst decision the show made and every season since season 4 has paid the price for it. Eric Wallace in particular has doubled down on it in his 4 seasons and it has affected the show poorly. The dreamer and Iris episode was odd because it genuinely felt like a Dreamer episode, which didn't make much sense in Flash context. Its not a terrible episode in isolation, but as an episode of The Flash final season, its a strange choice. Then there is the bottle episode with the inspectors. Again, this would be a ok filler for a normal full season, but an inexplicable choice for a final season of The Flash. We literally go 3 episodes without seeing Barry in The Flash uniform and barely using his powers.
The two episodes that followed the interlude were the best of the season. The crossover was a lot of fun. Unlike the Dreamer crossover, it felt like a necessary episode of The Flash because it filled some important arcs for Barry and Wally, while also giving a nice sendoff to Oliver and Diggle. Bloodwork is easily the best new villain of the Eric Wallace era and it was fun to have him around. Also was good to see that Team Flash finally learned about the multiverse. It was good to see Barry acknowledge his grief about the people he lost over the years and Wally acknowledging that he hasn't found the peace he has looked for since, and also him mourning for Jesse. All the Barry and Oliver interactions were great. We got a classic Barry and Oliver bar scene, with a nice dialogue callback to their meeting in The Flash pilot. Also, it was good to have Diggle be able to say goodbye to Oliver, after he was unable to both times during Crisis. Episode 10 was an absolute banger. Definitely in my top 10 episodes of the series. I think this episode did an excellent job bringing the series full circle and having Barry finally come to terms with what happened to his parents. All the interactions between Barry and his parents in the past, as well as his interactions with Thawne and Joe were excellent. It was another excellent showcase for Grant Gustin. Great to see Matt Letscher back one last time. The remaining 3 episode of the Cobalt Blue arc are decent, if somewhat underwhelming. The highlight of this arc was definitely having Rick Cosnett returning as Eddie. He definitely has legitimate grievances against Barry and his return and turn was handled pretty well. Unfortunately, Barry and Iris got sidelined through a big chunk of the episodes. Iris is in labor for most of the final 3 episodes, therefore confined to a bed. Barry is going through time. When the focus is on Barry and Eddie and dealing with whoever is possessed with the negative speed force, the content is good, but the show wants to force in Cecile as a superhero and dealing with not visiting her family much in the future, for no reason at all. I mean, who is asking for that. I'm not big on Allegra and Chester, but they really have nothing to do all season apart from their romance. There could have been some development for them instead. It would have been better than so much Cecile and Chillblaine stuff. As I mentioned, the finale was underwhelming, given it was a series finale. It doesn't help that team Flash is reduced to the C team at this point. The A team was gone with no Wells, Cisco, Caitlin, or Joe. Even the B team of people like Frost, Ralph, and Wally are no longer there. So we are left with the least interesting version of team Flash. Thankfully we do have Nora, who is a delight, although again, the fact that there is no Bart is weird. In general, I found it odd that they could not make scheduling work to have important cast members like Keynan, Jordan, and especially Carlos, show up, even if briefly and remotely, given they knew that this was the final season and was only 13 episodes. Thankfully Tom Cavanaugh appears both as Thawne and Timeless Wells. He did seem to have some of the best lines in the finale, roasting Eddie, Zoom, Chester, and Allegra.
All in all, season 9 was disappointing and Eric Wallace was a big letdown as a showrunner. He came off as a guy who talked a lot and had good ideas, but could not execute. He mentioned all the storylines he couldn't do and they all sounded better than most of the stuff he did this season. I will still say that I found season 6 and 8 to be pretty solid, but seasons 7 and 9 were very ordinary. Season 9 was only saved from being on the bottom due to a decent final 5 episode run. Overall, a 4/10 at best.
For the show, I have stuck with it through thick and thin. While writing has not been particularly good at times, the core cast members have always been great. Grant Gustin has been a terrific Barry Allen throughout. He will always be my Barry Allen. Candice Patton as Iris, though written unevenly, was a strong performer. Danielle Panabaker played several different characters over the course of the show and she was very likable as all of them. Tom Cavanaugh, who appeared every season, was the show's X factor for most of the show. Carlos Valdes was a fan favorite and always likable. Jesse L. Martin was the heart of the show during the peak seasons. They eventually ran out of good material for him but I loved him till the end. There have been a lot of cast members and characters that have come and gone, but definitely the people I mentioned above were the core of they show. People like Rick, Keiynan, Hartley Sawyer, Tom Felton etc... all made for fun additions. I would say, I enjoyed 7 out 9 seasons, which is a good success rate overall. I will miss the show, because it was appointment viewing for me. 184 episodes is something to be proud of. It is the last of long running superhero tv shows because I don't foresee a tv landscape which will be conducive to 23 episode seasons running for 8-9 seasons for comic book shows. Outside of Smallville, I can't recall any other superhero show that has run longer. As for the Arrowverse, despite many issues with writing, there is no doubt that it was a unique period to have such a big franchise on broadcast television and really popularized the crossover culture. Kudos to all the creators behind all the various shows and kudos to Greg Berlanti.

hello! thank you for all of your meta posts, they're honestly so fun to read after having watched the episodes, especially since i have no one to talk about 911 with! it almost feels like i'm discussing the episodes with someone in person and you have a very keen eye for details and parallels! so thank you! i hope this is ok to ask, but I wanted to know your predictions for eddie's storyline in the next episode. i read this post the other day https://andorskirk.tumblr.com/post/683006101521825792/eddie-meta-5x17-speculation and it's a really good analysis, but it makes me sad to think that there's no hope for a queer eddie diaz. i agree with op's analysis but i was really hoping for a queer storyline with him. what do you think? especially after the last episodes there have been a lot of hints that could be easily read as queer subtext. do you think they're going to explore it or at least nod to it between the next episode and the finale so that they can explore it in season 6 or do you think it's not possible at all?
thank you again and have a good day! ^.^
Hi, lovely Nonnie! No, thank YOU for the kind words. I'm going through some difficult times, so as much as I always believe every bit of kindness matters, it's even truer for me right now. And I am SO glad we get to discuss these eps together, my friend. ;) *HUGS*
Anything's okay to ask! I'll just apologize, the post you linked to is too long for me, I can't read it with my vertigo. :( I'm already making a huge effort to read my asks so I can reply, I'm spent before I get to anything else. I haven't read anyone's meta or fics in a long time and as I mentioned here, I can't even read mine back.
So I don't know what that post's author is going on. And TBH, I can't tell you if there is or isn't a chance for queer Eddie now. In general? I def think we have a very good chance at getting that. But will we get it now? I actually think it would make so much sense! Listen, that Ramon was severe with Eddie and raised him with all sorts of toxic masculinity ideas is known. To justify Eddie going back to Texas in 517 and facing his dad, the show should add something more in. Especially if its runners claim that we're going to learn Eddie has trauma from before he joined the army. I have to stress here, not everything that's bad parenting is also traumatic in the clinical sense of the word, which is the sense I tend to consider because that's what we do when we study Psychology. So just having Eddie go back and confront Ramon Diaz about being a toxic dad, I'm not sure that is enough. Think of the Buckley parents coming to visit in 404 and 405, we knew something was off about them before they appeared on our screen, but to justify Buck's confrontation with them, the show had to introduce us to a deeper trauma.
So what deeper trauma might we learn about since Eddie IS going back to see his parents and family in Texas? There are a lot of options, but I have to admit that the one which plays out best IMO is a teenage Eddie discovering he has feelings for another boy, and Ramon putting a brutal end to it. That can easily count as a trauma in the clinical sense of the word. And there are things suggesting Eddie hasn't allowed himself to explore where his heart might lead him to, just like there were hints in 403 about the Buckley secret (yep, about half way through that ep I was convinced what Daniel's story was going to be and I was 100% right). There is the possibility that we’ll discover Ramon forced Eddie to marry Shannon, but TBH, Eddie pretty much has already told Bobby he only married Shannon because she got pregnant. So is finding out this was in part enforced by Ramon and not just Eddie’s guilty conscience enough to turn it into a ‘trauma’? Maybe, but it’s a lot less convincing than queer!Eddie IMO. Because a part of it is Eddie himself, as we saw in s2 when he thought Shannon was pregnant again, which drove him to decide to commit to her again, despite not being sure right before that. I can't say that I saw any hints for anything other than that or a general "Eddie's parents stopped him from figuring out who he was really meant to be." Does that mean I didn't miss something, or that the writers are actually ready to let Eddie be gay or bi? I'm not sure. TBH, I would have expected maybe more of a reaction from Eddie to Josh in 516 if that's what 911 was setting up. Like maybe some sadness in realizing Josh might be able to have what Eddie could never be allowed. So there are points against the queer!Eddie theory, too.
In conclusion, queer!Eddie still fits best of all the things I have noticed. Am I convinced this is what we're getting? No. I’m very hesitant ‘coz I can’t say I saw enough hints in this specific direction beyond that general “Let Eddie follow his heart” theme. But it does fit IMO, so I wouldn't rule it out either. And I most def would not rule it out in the long run. I think at the end of the day, maybe the show runners aren’t ready to let Buddie go canon now, but at some point they’ll have to. Nothing else honestly fits either man. So basically, take heart! IDK if we get queer!Eddie now, but I believe at some point we will.
I hope this helps, hon? Please feel free to let me know! Thank you again for your wonderful ask! xoxox
(I got an influx of asks, I WILL answer all of them, but it might take a sec. If anyone wants to check whether I've already answered theirs or to read my replies, here's my ask tag. Thank you! xoxox)

Hey Juju! I’ve followed you for quite awhile and every time something 911 related happens, I come to your blog for the tea, lol. I had some speculations for the coming episodes that I thought would fit in quite well in your inbox. 😉
Next week we have Tia Pepa setting Eddie up on dates that do not go well. Eddie says so, so she switches gears and sets him up with a guy. Eddie is taken aback. By the end it’s not an awful date, like the others, but something still doesn’t feel right. After, Eddie comes home to Chris and Buck (maybe a similar scene to the end of this ep) and boom. Eddie has his Oh moment. This is what he wants. Cue Eddie pining for the next couple of eps until the end of 6x17. Love is indeed in the air and Eddie confesses his feelings, but promises nothing has to change and he’s not expecting anything from Buck. Buck’s confused and contemplating, but then we get the big call in 6x18 where they’re possibly separated. And Buck’s just like, fuck I love Eddie. Everything ends up okay on the call (Chimney! 🤞🏻😭) And we cut to a kitchen scene at Eddie’s, with Buck confessing his feelings back to Eddie. And maybe (hopefully) a kiss. Then the episode ends with a montage showing the core couples wherever they’re at, with Buck and Eddie curled up together on Eddie’s couch, to end the season. Thus we have Buddie canon going into season 7 and full circle moments for both the kitchen scenes and the couch metaphor. What do you think??
Hello Tiffany! Oh that’s so sweet of you 🥹💜 I’m glad you can find you 911 tea here haha!! I love discussing theories with everyone!!
I love this idea you have bc I know the dates aren’t just gonna be completely successful. I would so LOVE if she sets him up with a guy, just to get both Eddie and the ga used to the idea of him being with a man possibly. But of course something is off bc that man isn’t the man that makes him smile stupid and his eyes twinkle. No that man is at home with their son. I think it could be a great way to have Eddie finally have his oh moment. I’ve been discussing the possibility of both of them kinda realizing before the finale and having their pining moment for a while now so I can see it play out exactly like you mention. I think it’ll all culminate to the big finale where thehre separate from each other and after everything that’s been happening to Buck, he finally realizes that it’s Eddie. It’s always been Eddie and now he’s not by his side to help him and he kinda puts all his feelings and energy in to finding Eddie and saving him. Then the episode totally ends with them together on the fucking couch. Now idk if they’re gonna actually have them get together or just imply that there’s been a definitive change to their relationship which then leads to s7 and them officially getting together then or what but something big will come out of the finale. I’m almost certain of that. Given everything we know, everything we’ve seen like it really truly seems so inevitable at this point we don’t get something concrete by the finale. Loved this and I hope to manifest this with you!!! ☺️

i watched the first 3 eps of daisy jones and the six. my thoughts are, i’ll probably watch the rest of the series bc i am always a sucker for the fake-documentary conceit and getting to see these characters several years removed from the events of the story, able to comment on their flaws and extrapolate about the mistakes they made etc etc. i know it’s based on a book so i’m tempted to go in search of that to just read but for now, here’s what i think of the show:
the first three eps felt a little thin, especially since you spent the whole time just WAITING for them all to finally connect. despite daisy having less Plot™ to get through, i think riley keough is pretty great in this steve nicks-type character (not perfect, but definitely compelling) and the vibes are so strong that i enjoyed her scenes soooo much more than anything going on with the dunne brothers and their v obvious story beats. sam claflin as billy specifically is...fine? but the character feels v shallow and he seems miscast age-wise—i know they’re all having to play older in the interview scenes but he is not believable as a young-20 something musician, especially when surrounded by so many other baby faced actors. hopefully as the episodes progress his age starts to match the scenes better? the best thing he has going for him in this role is definitely his voice, which does sound good with riley’s and i’m eager to hear more of their songs together, but performance-wise...eh. he’s a little forgettable—case in point, i literally finished the 3rd episode like 15 minutes ago and i already had to use google to figure out his character’s name while typing this up.
as for the other characters, eddie seems v two-dimensional. i hope he gets some added depth beyond just being the jealous would-be lead singer—i’m getting strong jason lee in almost famous vibes, except jason lee was actually funny in that role and contributed more that just barely hidden resentment. i will admit i’m onboard for the karen/graham will they/won’t they, so i’m intrigued to see where that goes, though when they’re separate from each other they’re a little less distinct. i DID enjoy karen’s reaction to daisy in the recording studio so i’m eager to see how that relationship develops. warren is, unfortunately, the after thought comic relief who doesn’t seem to contribute much other than sight gags about mustaches and 70s drug references. camila, unfortunately, bears the brunt of being intimately tied to the character i care least about in the show, but i do enjoy the spark they’ve managed to highlight in her—the scene of her standing up for herself after finding billy in the van was solid. she’s definitely playing a v specific trope—the first wife in the musician biopic, the ginnifer goodwin as vivian cash in walk the line—and seems to be somewhat inspired by linda mccartney (the photographer to paul’s singer/songwriter), so i’ll wait to see what they do with her.
my favorite two characters though, by far, have to be simone and teddy, who both feel more real and lived in than any of the others. they have the benefit of also having storylines and interior lives removed from daisy or billy (had to google his name again, yikes)—the scene of simone coming home from that horrifying recording day to find daisy sitting on the floor and finding herself unable to explain just what happened, what made her skin crawl, how she’s feeling...damn that was good. also, her stunned reaction to the bold woman at the party being so direct—the scene was so charged and i’m hoping we get to see that nyc club owner return. and teddy as a music producer who’s had a bad run of failed records trying to get his colleagues to put faith in his gut instincts instead of saddling him with christmas albums of old timers is especially poignant. his physicality does a great job showing the physicality of the stress he feels professionally, especially when he finds himself starting to care for these two young singers, separately, and then, eventually, deciding to bring them together is really lovely—i’m hoping they take some time to explore WHY exactly he felt compelled to introduce them, what drove him to do that, but i won’t be surprised if it’s left unsaid. i’m hoping simone and teddy continue to shine and don’t get sidelined now that daisy and sam claflin have finally met, but we’ll definitely have to wait and see.
anyway, don’t know why i felt the need to type this up but tada ✌️

Okay. It's time for my theories post. I am going to be sharing ss of others posts with their names so credit is given to people who have helped and added to my earlier theories.
I wanted to make this before everyone got theirs out, but I didn't feel like making a long post yet.
I AM READY NOW THOUGH. HERE WE GOOOO !!
So of course, first up is Eddie. He's ALIVE. Kind of. Now I had said it before how his death seemed rushed and just didn't really work. I think they're trying to maybe build up to something else for Eddie. What , I dont exactly know. But I have a guess. Now before I've just been thinking Eddie isn't dead cuz the bats aren't fatal and can't kill, they didn't kill Steve and he had no shirt or jacket or anything to cover himself with when attacked. Eddie had layers on, one of which being leather, but then again there were way more bats attacking him than there were for Steve.
So this leads to my new favorite theory, that Eddie did die, BUT he's come back as a vampire. Kas the bloody handed to be specific. Now I know literally nothing about dnd, but I've been reading theories which means I've learned a few things about this guy, but I'm just gonna share some ss from some other people who are better able at wording shit than I am.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we see here from the 3rd pic is Mike in the 1st ep (I believe) of s4 vol 1 during their dnd game. In the past we've seen dnd games foreshadow later events like Will being taken by the demogorgon.
Tumblr media
And even this dnd game foreshadowed Eleven not being able to defeat Vecna on her own. Dustin (I think it was him) rolled an 11 and it wasn't enough on it's own to defeat him.
So I'm thinking the dnd game could've alluded to more than just that.
And just to add to this a little more (ss taken from the post of @/enanowo on twitter)
Tumblr media
The same music that played for Will when he was "dead", played for Eddie too. This isn't the first time they've repeated certain songs for certain things. The same music (idk what song) played for I believe both Hopper and El when we thought they'd died, but actually weren't. So this could be another thing maybe.
That's really all I have for this, but here's a bit of a small thread on this. It's almost basically just what I said, but I think they explain it better.

Now onto Will.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
( @/lovelikelumax on twitter )
Now I've been saying that Will is going to have powers or something special about him. And that I think he's going to be the one to help Eleven defeat Vecna.
And I still kind of believe that, but there have been other theories I've seen that have me believing otherwise. Like some believe Eight/Kali will be brought back to help Eleven and maybe even Eddie with his newfound vampirism tho idk about that one. The one about Eight is a definite possibility and I would actually love it of they brought her back, but back to my theory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like my theories are more supported by the confirmation that The Mindflayer was in fact Vecna. We've seen what Vecna can do, what he's capable of and his intelligence and planning. So yeah I think my theory of Will being special and being specifically picked is almost definitely supported.
I also want to link this tiktok of this other person's theory cuz I kind of really like it tho I'm not too sure about it especially the beginning, but later I do think it has some things correct maybe.
I do think this is somewhat supported just cause of the lock and song thing. I mean we've seen how the demogorgon enters the home before and this is almost entirely different. Also the song was pointed out a bunch of times. They kind of highlighted (?? there's another word I'm looking for I think but I cant think of it) it multiple times throughout the 1st season. He sang it on the radio, showed him singing it in the upside down, showed the sentimental meaning of the song, and even used it later to help bring him forward so he could speak to them when he was possessed by The Mindflayer who happens to aLSO BE VECNA.
It could've just been a coincidence. The lock thing was the 1st ep and the pilot is always a way to test certain things and then later it'll be different or you won't see a certain thing ever again. Maybe they hadn't thought up the demogorgon entrance all that well ? And the song could've later just inspired the new song thing in this season. But I do have to say if it wasn't just a coincidental accident...
I don't think I have much more to add to this rn. I'll probably post more about this all later, but rn I'm done. Thank you for reading ik this was a LOT. so yeah :)
