I have many reasons why I like Aziraphale and Crowleys relationship, but the one reason it's my favorite is because it is bigger than them.

It's not human. It isn't bound by sex, gender, race, place of birth, or nonsense like that. It isn't bound by mortality. It isn't forced or made or found. It just exists within them.

It's human. It's raw and unyielding. It breaks their heart and fixes it back up all neat and tidy. It's blunt when it stabs and sharp when it hurts. It's euphoric when it's domestic and blissful when they survive it.

It transcends humanity, it has survived through all the eras that humans haven't. But it has also flickered and waxed and waned like the most humane love ever seen.

It's pure. It's tainted by authority, but it's still pure.

It's them. It's them who should hate each other but can never bring themselves to. It's clinging on to tiny moments till they're free to not hold back. It's coffee and bentleys and books and Queen. It's so them.

It's almost like it's ineffable.

I know only a few people care about my art, much less about my AU. But hey, who cares. I don't mind and I am not the only one this is happening to.

Listen. I am not doing this for anyone else but myself. I enjoyed making this AU, I enjoy telling the story and I enjoy sharing what I came up with in my little head. This is purely for fun and entertainment, and if people want to join me on this journey, I am more than happy to show them my creations, but if they don't, that's okay.

This is for me. For others as well if it brings them enjoyment, but mostly for me. And I am speaking from my heart when I say I genuinely hope that other people find the same enjoyment in their art as I do. Because if you do, you don't need a large following. You don't need thousands of asks, even though they are nice to see.

You just need your tablet or piece of paper or whatever else you are drawing on, and you need your creativity. And that is more than enough.

Yang is going to realize she’s in love with Blake on the island.

This is a focus of the Ever After Island arc as stated by the v9 ch1 synopsis, “[. . .] As they journey to find a way back home, they'll have to overcome some of their toughest challenges yet – the struggle of their own identities, and whether or not they're equipped to stop Salem.

Identity is going to play an enormous role in this storyline. For self serving purposes, let’s look at what this means for Yang.

Yang Xiao Long’s identity, to put it bluntly, is defined by her sister. Secondary even to Raven. Ruby has been the focal point of Yang’s life since Ruby was born. It’s heavily implied that Taiyang was a slight absent/absentminded father, and Yang took it upon herself to expand her role of older sister into full-on caretaker and later in life, guardian.

Yang has historically been Ruby’s guardian in nearly every sense. She has physically protected Ruby at risk of her own safety, but she also guarded Ruby’s emotional and general growth. Yang read to her as children, fostered beliefs in huntresses, helping others, and pursuing passions. Yang’s key source of happiness in the world is directly tied to Ruby’s safety and well-being.

Not only has Yang historically let Ruby define her, Yang is currently defined by Ruby. She trusts Ruby’s instincts and follows her not as a subordinate and a leader, but as a family member whose love overrides their logic. Yang is shown to blindly follow Ruby, without information and without hesitation, something Raven calls Yang out for in v4. Even when presented with the opportunity to live with her mother, have all her life-long questions answered, she rejected Raven’s offer in favor of finding and protecting Ruby. While Yang grew from the experience and started scrutinizing Ozpin, she has never once questioned Ruby’s position as her personal North Star which she’s been charged to protect. This is Yang’s purpose in life.

Back to the Island: if it is the Island’s intention to examine identity, Yang will likely be forced to understand just how much of herself she has created around Ruby’s life, pursuits, consequences, and wants. The inevitable next question is this: What does Yang Xiao Long want?

This would be an incredible story beat for Yang, and a similar question/answer set up was executed masterfully in Shera and the Princesses of Power.

The question being: what are heroes without their causes? What if martyrs were less sacrificial? What selfishness exists in the selfless? What does Yang Xiao Long want?

The answer being:
