saturn is bonney's father /responsible for her illness

Bonney seems to have some specific hatred towards Saturn, and it’s a particularly cruel twist of the knife that the man who turned Kuma into a cyborg is the man who raped Kuma’s one love in life.

It would also explain why Saturn is so insanely soft on Bonney. Telling the marines to spare her because she’s ‘just a girl’. Right after going on a rant about how all humans are worthless insects.

Additionally (not as sure about this) but Whitebeard’s and Roger’s mysterious disease that manifests later in life could be connected to their time at god valley. Saturn was there, maybe he gave them this illness too?

FOR THE BIRD AU. I love building and your ideas mmmmm delish.

Thoughts on celestial dragon not having wings? Or cutting them off at birth? Maybe there wings are useless seeing as they never use them and always keep them covered no one really knows. But there are theory’s. (Could be why Dolfamingo and Corason ware those fluffy feathered coats to cover up the fact they don’t have wings.)

Ok devil fruit user who I think don’t have wings. Crocodile. Wether threw injury or choice. I feel like Sir crocodile doesn’t have wings anymore. New People constantly expect signals from a whole form of communication that simply doesn’t exist anymore, he of course uses this to its full possibilities-He is impossible to read at first and alot of people underestimate him because of his disability and by being ableist dicks, he can go and take everything they love right from under there nose and they never even suspected him.

Kuma though not by choice. He’s back stories already so god damned sad why don’t we add even more tears it huh. (Every time I learn more about this man I want to strangle Oda, how dare this sweet teddy bear of a man be subjected to such horror.)

And surprise Marco. I feel like it would interesting a lot of people would probably dicks about it at first or just avoid him or be very delicate and over correcting themselves around him. Marco and crew will quickly dissuade new comers of this stupidity.

A few of big moms kids might not have wings? Seeing as she’s seems to be part gaint maybe gaints don’t have wings or at least different type? Maybe Kaido got rid of his wings? Or again was born without seeing as he’s another species called Oni? Maybe he has Dragon wings?

Celestial Dragons see themselves as gods, right? Different from everyone else. Higher than everyone else. They don't eat devil fruits because to them, they don't need that extra power. Plus, why would gods ruin their relationship with Mother Sea?

So yeah, they cut their wings off at birth as a sign of being better than everyone else. Doflamingo and Corazon definitely have their feathered jackets as a memory of the wings they lost.

Crocodile did get his wings cut off when he got his devil fruit. He didn't see the point in them anymore. And if he was going to take over Alabasta, it would be better to get rid of wings that could give away his emotions.

WHY WOULD YOU MENTION KUMA!? (Sobs into blankets) But you are so right. Anyway.

Marco lost his wings because they burned up when he ate his devil fruit because I want the angst. JUST IMAGINE! His devil allows him to become a Phoenix, but at the painful cost of his original wings.

Kaido isn't changed much because of what species he is. He stays a dragon, but in human form he still has the dragon wings.

I am 100% going to write more for this au, and honestly, I will probably cry if you make more fanart/fanfiction for this au. I love it.

Maybe this is just a flight of fancy - but your post about Kuma just made me think about how One Piece just abandoned it's more dialectical, for a lack of a better word, direction - instead of a tyrant being somebody who in the irony of history leads to revolutionary change, ala Napoleon, Nobunga, Cromwell or even Ghenghis Khann - he instead must be just a martyr - and not a Jesus, because a Jesus turns tables over and is not allways "nice", but just a caricature of some "Nietschean" "slave morality".

This can just be seen with how Luffy more and more turns from the amoral (not imoral) free spirit that never wants to be a hero and just liberates the world by his self consiousnes dominating the stagnatn oppresion, into a generic saviour, destined by literal prophecies that are fulfilled to the T, and not just by the end of history more abstractly - like hell somebody noticed how "the will of D" was basically overshadowed with the Nika stuff - from smiling because you are content and know that history will redeem everything, to just smiling because it is the magic system in a very boring and surface level way...

So yeah, even if my ideas may sound strange I'll finish that I agree - Kuma was kinda changed from a charachter that was introguing into one that may be more sympathic but ultimately less interesting - a mirror to the Gorosei, who were a human yet poignat critique of real politiks turning people into monster, who go against their compasion, that did destroy Ohara even thought they didnt want to out of a twisted "duty", into the saturday morning literal demons that call people "insects" - and as the devil that tortures souls in hell isn't really evil, so isn't an anti-semitic caricature that has a paralyzing stare - as "evil" as King Geedorah or Godzilla, just a rubber monster, not the evil in all our hearts...

Eh, i agree with some, disagree with some of the other things.

One thing i do disagree with, is the idea that the gorosei being pure evil is a problem. It's not, it's only a problem if all of them are the exact same in personality as Saturn.

The problem with Saturn is not the fact that he's pure evil, and like the rest of the celestial dragons he has a god complex, it's that he's boring.

He's just an evil asshole, who is pure evil, and frankly, his actual main purpose seems to be introducing the magic system that his side has hoarded for themselves, so that we'll have had a taste of it by the time the final conflict takes place.

The problem with Saturn is that there isnt much to him. What glimpses we see from the rest of his circle is that the rest of the gorosei have actual real opinions on the world that is in some part based on good intentions, or at least an appeal to the greater good. By contrast Saturn is just a Celestial Dragon with actual power behind him. no more, no less.

and there are ways to make that sort of characters compelling.

the youtuber Lowart, during his retrospective on the archie sonic comic breaks down pretty well how the Brotherhood of guardians from that franchise are quite frankly assholes... but it's the most extreme member of this extreme group, Locke, who is the most compelling character of the bunch, speciffically because he has been molded by his groups century's long ideology into becoming who he is. the logical end result, of a long line of extremism, who believes that the ends justify the means at any cost... and then explores how this completely ruined his, his wife's and his sons lives.

By contrast saturn is just an asshole, who does assholish things, because he is an asshole.

also as for him being an antisemetic charicature, his devil fruit is clearly a gyuki-oni, a demonic, bovine spider monster from japanese legends.

They really do look like that. they have been a part of Japanese folklore LONG before they even knew jews existed.

By sharp contrast, to saturn, while Imu hasnt been fleshed out in full yet, it's very clear that the monarch of the world has a much more distinct personality, with hopes, dreams, and has very distinct reasons to hate the people he/she does... but you also get the sense that Imu is a very lonely individual, who despite hard words, very clearly misses Lili, and seems to see Vivi as some form of getting to do things over again.

In other words, an actual character, as opposed to Saturn's Im fucking evil guys! look at me! im EVIL!!!

No in terms of good and evil, the larger problem is that the world government's opposition has lost as lot of their greyness as the story went on.

Dragon was a man who's actions was portrayed as a lot more grey than Kuma, a man who didnt mind his son becoming a pirate so long as he actually went out to see how the world was for himself, who talked nonchelantly with his subordinate about having brutually toppled a regime in a coup in their quest to destroy the world government.

There was a sense that he was on the right side of this war... but that he had no problems with shedding blood to get the war done.

Now this trait hasnt exactly been removed, but the way the manga portrays Dragon and his faction's actions has. Now rather than a bloody conflict with lots of intentional civil wars, post time skip it's portrayed more by relatively bloodless coups that doesnt kill that many people.

just look at kuma's flashback, where the king of sorbet was removed twice, and came back a third time, all because dragon didnt have him executed the first time.

The fact is, Oda did not need to make this conflict one of black and white, and it didnt have to become that, even as we saw the true, irredeemable evil at the WG's top.

I think the single biggest showcase of what a bad idea this was, is that Oda could have used the revolutionary army's raid on mariejois as a massacre, where they freed the slave, but also put as many world nobles to the sword as possible. as it is, it makes no sense for them not to do so while at the heart of their enemy's homebase, other than that this would have made them look very, very brutal.

and yeah, im not a fan of nika, or how it overshadows The Will of D.

The powerset of gear 5 is actually great, but It did not need some grandiose backstory that connects Luffy directly with the previous great figure.

I disagree though that luffy himself has become some savior hero. On the contrary, luffy's main storyline post timeskip is how he keeps dedicating himself to assassination plots against his political rivals, on his way to become pirate king.

That is the actions of a pirate, not a hero.

The problem is the fact that due to Nika, now he is entangled to become the next joy boy, not due to his own, personal qualities, but instead due to the devil fruit he ate... which is so much less compelling, and in turn makes Whitebeard denouncing Blackbeard as not able to suceed roger despite his name, as much less compelling.

Omggg this flashback was crazy, I can't wait to see the entire story of godvalley.

I feel like kuma and the others escaped from Saturn with Roger help. And maybe Roger get sicked from Saturn and his devilfruit powers since it was inspired from Ushi-oni who is known to spread poison. Maybe it's that poison that causes Roger illness. I don't know if it fits right in the timeline. But maybe Roger saved Kuma like shanks did for luffy.

their name is wifi..... also kuma and wifi (and neve) r literally just ninjago'd versions of my like. Existing ocs i have a bajillion notes of lore for so i havent really thought that much abt their ninjagoverse lore if im being honest bc i mostly think abt their normal selves... i jst thought it would be fun to put them in the ninjago universe ..... But kuma is fun she made a deal with an ancient oni who was actually her in a past life ?!2?; to get power and hes fuckinf.annoying ass hell he lives in her head👍but now she has watered down oni powers so thats cool at least. she mostly uses them to defend ppl in the city since the ninja tend to only handle big crimes yk but shes pretty good at it. but most of her run ins are with wifi and neve who are like the most annoying villains ever (mostly wifi bc neve isnt very talkative) and theyre always on about their secret evil plans. which one of these days might escalate into something beyond kam's ability to handle lol

-Reason why franky and and sanji & the others can’t not move is because saturn is using something that is called the gravity of fear in a reverse way. -Fear is something that cause u from not moving nor making a sound. -But sanji will be able to conqueror it

Follow up: My opinion I truly think the Vinsmoke,Garling and Saturn has connections. Not saying their related but maybe family has ties in some ways. Garling at a young age looks so similar to sanji brothers. Plus I found some interesting stuff about sora and saturn.

Follow up 2: Saturn is the father of time, someone that goes about things in a timely matter and do things. Might have something to do with his shillelagh & a hourglass. Oda kinda forshadow saturn and time during alabasta with crocodile vs Luffy first ever fight.

Another person that’s 9 out of 10 a buccaneer is Blackbeard himself. Someone that is heavy hitter and lifter plus takes a a lot of pain. In real life the real Blackbeard is said to be called a buccaneer and is a book called “BLACKBEARD BUCCANEER” AUTHOR: Ralph D.Paine “D”

Kuma is a mix of a moon bear and oni kuma. Moon bear also known as a crescent moon bear because of the white crescent moon spot on the bear chest. The bear in mythology was treated bad by almost everyone and a Buddhist Goddess Kwan-Yin, whose emblem is the crescent moon.

Kwan-Yin the goddess seems to be the inspiration of creating Lillie in the story. A goddess that is kind & treats every race with love & compassion. The birth of kuma the sorbet kingdom look similar to alabasta👀… Meaning kuma ancestors might of been connected with Lillie.

I really hope this helps for some and gets others to do research on this. It’s really fascinating. Truly should look into the buccaneers history. Saturn having a Spaniard name and the buccaneers constantly raiding the Spanish might be parallel kuma race and saturn.

The 5 admirals of One Piece are themed after Momotarou. Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru are Momotarou's 3 companion animals. Ryokugyuu and Fujitora are the oni.

Since there's no animals left that I can think of in Momotarou, I'm assuming this means there isn't going to be an "Orange" one suddenly appearing by surprise later.

The Wano plot is also Momotarou.

Sentomaru and Kuma are loosely based on Kintarou.

The whole Fishmen Island story is probably loosely based on Urashimatarou? Or if not, I wonder if there will be one later.

The “One Piece World is a Lost Space Colony” Theory

Now we are getting definite confirmation that prior to the Void Century 800-900 years ago technology on the One Piece World was highly advanced compared to what is allowed under the Celestial Dragon’s rule. It comes to ask the question “Why is that the case?”

Known Recorded History doesn’t go far past 5000 years.  But in the One Piece World, it doesn’t say that this time period was one of an bronze-age/iron aged culture.

5000 years ago was when the Tree of Knowledge was planted on Ohara

4000 years ago was when the Capital City of Alabasta, Alubarna, was established.

1100 years ago was when the “Golden City” Shandora on Skypia/Jaya was built and occupied by the lunar race Shandorans.

1000 years ago was when Zunesha was first noted.

900-800 years ago was the Void Century.

The Lunar Races, Fishmen/Mermaids, Minks, Sea Beasts, and Ancient Giants -- The First Races.

Lunarians, like King/Alber, are said to survive in the most hostile environments. Making them the most suited to journey ahead of all other settlers and act as scouts, advanced forces, or explorers of unknown habitats. They would arrive to a system and set up operations on a satellite planetary body, like one of the moons, and coordinate the bulk of terraforming from space until it is suitable enough to send other crews/people onto the planet.  The lesser Lunar Races (the ones with the white-wings) acted as administrators and serfs, doing much of the menial work for their black-winged counterparts. They had control of the weapon Uranus.

From all evidence given, the dominate native species of their world are the Sea Kings... It is unknown if the Den Den Mushi are a native species or one brought to the planet, as the Skypians use shells/dials in their technology, and can control the weather and hyper grow plants without the use of devil fruits.

The Sea Beasts, Fishmen, and Mermaids were likely the first to live full time on the planet. They used the power of Poseidon and the voice of all things to tame the Sea Kings and make the waters safer. The Sea Beast were beasts of burden created from non-native animals.

Ancient Giants (Oni and Ogar types) are famous for becoming so large they were able to pull land masses. They sculpted the planet’s surface, dredging up land from the bottom of the seas. They could also have had mechanized armor and robotic counterparts of enormous size to help them. They had control of the ancient weapon Pluton.

The Minks worked in tandem with the AG and were in charge of populating the landmasses with animals and their husbandry. Their Sulong forms being tied to the phases of the moons, and thus have natural a connection to the Lunar Races (maybe it there is a control device on the moon and needs to have a direct signal for it to work).

Humanity’s Arrival.

5000 - Humans began to populate their world.  Ohara becoming one of the first human settlements, and center of knowledge about what came before the colonization People like the Giants (of the non-monsterous type), dwarfs, Three-eye tribe, Long-arm Tribe, Long-Leg Tribe, Long-head tribe, Long-Tongue Tribe (eeshhhhh)  arrive to establish their own settlements. (it is unknown at this point what the role of Kuma’s “special race” played and what is the nature of their “specialness”)...

Unrest starts to creep in. Humans began to fight with each other over territories, and fight the Fishmen/Mermaids at sea and against the Ancient Giants and Minks for control of the land. There are some alliances being made during this time, some cross-mating happening, leading to various “non standard” traits showing up in human populations.

4000 - Alabarna was established on Alabasta.

In order to attain peace, Lunarians make the choice to become the overlords of the planet full time and create the Red Line, breaking up the planet into the four oceans and creating choke points at the Grand Line and restricting travel across the world. Giving the Fishmen control of the traffic between the Paradise and New World side of the Red line (Fishman Island). The Lunarians leave the moon to settle on the Red Line to better rule the people. Establishing the “Ancient/Great Kingdom.”

1200 -  Shandora is established. The Moons were officially abandoned, left to run on autopilot with little robot soldiers.

1000 - Zunesha and Zou are established as Minks escape pressure from human population expansion and violence.

What might have happened:

Technology and innovation flourishes under the hand of the Lunarian Overlords, however, people still became upset about the lack of freedoms/self governance under artificial beings meant to serve humanity. Unable to over throw them themselves.... they call home to “Earth” asking for help.

Imu-sama came, bringing the technology of Devil Fruits and the ability to control those that use them. Imu unites the 20 human kingdoms, creating the Celestial Dragons, and fights against the forces of Lunarians/Ancient Giants/Minks/Fishmen. As time goes on, and as Devil Fruits reincarnate, both sides began to use Devil Fruits... this includes JoyBoy, the user of the Mythical Zoan Nika Sun God Fruit, unaware that Imu can control them. Pluton is taken and hidden on Wano (a country allied to Zunesha and Joyboy), Uranus ends up in the hands of Imu. Imu and the Celestial Dragons take control of the Red Line, and Poseidon joins forces with Joyboy in an attempt to bring down the Red Line... but Joyboy gets flipped against his will and betrays Poseidon, preventing the destruction of The Red Line and Fishman Island.

Imu, Celestial Dragons, and Gorosei establish the World Government, and the first thing they do is destroy all the advance Space Tech and erase all known sources of what happened during the 100 years war. Making sure nobody would be able to call out to the stars for help again.
