I just think it’s hilarious how even though in the new episode of the Nickelodeon Monster High show “Monster Match” they canonized multiple ships, they didn’t even acknowledge Clawdeen and Deuce. Both of them are headed to the Monster Ball by themselves in the animated series which is wild considering they’re the main romantic ship in the live action Monster High movies.

Season 2 Episode 2 "Play It Again Clawd" Spoilers ahead!

Selena and Apollo are good parents, but they make the mistake of, Selena in particular, of not talking this through with Clawd and taking the tradition away from him. As evidenced by Selena literally taking his cake from him to have Clawdeen blow out the candles.

This episode was so good in what it was portraying. Do Clawdeen and Apollo want to enjoy the Friday the 13th festivities with Clawd and Selena? Yes, they absolutely do! But they also recognize that this is a special thing between the two that they don't need to be a part of right now or maybe ever. Both Clawd and Clawdeen are honest about their feelings about one another and even Selena gets in on the sharing and their feelings of upset and discontent aren't met with "I am hurt this feel like an attack on me personally." They are met with."Yeah, that's really reasonable. I'm sorry you feel that way. How can we fix it?" In the case of Clawd and Clawdeen. Selena gets left to the wayside, but this show is about the kids, not the adults.

Anyway, G3 W can't wait for more.

obviously there doesn't need to be a 'reason' for g3 venus to be black but i do wanna point out that audrey II from little shop of horrors (aka the giant murderous flytrap) is voiced by a black actor in the movie adaptation and most professional productions of the musical, and idk if there's official confirmation venus is inspired by audrey II but i'd say it's a fair assumption given it definitely counts as a 'famous monster'
