i liked the way they didnt specify "adhd and dyslexia makes you a halfblood!!!!!" but did say something about not fitting in and understanding the world bc that is more inclusive to people with all types of nurodivergencies and probably easier for kids to relate to. people deserve a place in camp half blood even if they dont have adhd or dyslexia, or arent nurodivergent at all. like, as a child i didnt know my beheivor was probably adhd symptoms (im undiagnosed), or what nurodivergency was. i just knew that it was something that made me weird and diffrente from everybody else and i got bullied for. half bloods being adhd and dyslexia just meant that even though the book series was the world to me and i fantasied about camp half blood as a place for me to belong to, i did sort of feel like i didnt 'meet a criteria'. if camp half blood was real the kids ddiagnosed with adhd and dyslexia were gonna 'get in', not me. but now, yeah, it is for people who have adhd and dyslexia, but its also for all kids who feel like they dont fit, like the world dosent make sense. even if theyre not diagnosed, or dont have dyslexia or adhd but are autistic, or arent nurodivergent at all but never felt like they truely belonged with everyone else. this one liner could mean a lot fot a lot of people.
