Ever since tommy was revived he’s been able to hear the dead still talking to him. Surprisingly they aren’t half bad. So far they’ve helped him out lots so, maybe they aren’t as bad as he made some of them out to be.

Or 3 +1 of three times the dead members of the server helped him out and one time he had them help someone else. (A touch of healing and a whole crimeboys segment for you crimeboys enjoyers :D)

Thinking about Character Wilbur again...

Normally I can easily tell how I feel about a character because of vibes. Details apart, I can always tell if I like a character. But this guy is frustrating.

actually actually i’m gonna say smth controversial it’s about dsmp before anyone gets excited

#i love love love tommy and i am a c!tommy apologist #HOWEVER. between c!wilburs return and c!sam’s entire fuckinh character. a lot of diehard c!tommy apologists are not allowing themselves to #see the other characters through any lens other than tommy #bc tommy is scared of wilbur and doesn’t want him back; people are reading his revival speech as villainous and evil #ignoring the fact that he was suicidal but now he’s genuinely happy to be alive #and hasn’t said a word about ?? world domination or whatever #bc tommy is angry and sam and doesn’t understand why he’s being such a stickler for the prison rules; people think sam is heartless and #awful and follows the prison rules he made himself for no reason #*angry at sam #like... i genuinely think that’s where a lot of the misinterpretations of these morally grey characters is coming from #people take c!tommy’s word as gospel instead of recognizing that there is a lot tommy doesn’t see in regards to what other characters are #experiencing and going through #tommy’s perspective is very important!! it really really is!! and it’s important to consider why he hates sam and why he’s so afraid of wil #but.. tommy’s opinion of the other characters has been formed with limited information #i know i keep making posts that sound like i don’t like tommy :(( it’s not him at all it’s just some people don’t know how to interpret #and those people often seem to be big c!inniters even tho i am one myself #i along with my mutuals just happen to be incredibly attractive and wise c!inniters B)#txt157

so like tommy made a plan to break into the prison with tnt but changed it last minute to sneaking in with the cover of ghostbur.

it was pretty obvious from the start that was a bad idea especially with the revival book in the mix (i mean tommy said let me bring the bloke i dont wanna revive with me? like bruh) i mean it was kinda on everyone involved (tubbo ranboo sam) that wilbur was revived considering they did ALL know about the revival book and tommy's opinion on wilbur

look i think tommys character is fun but i dont really think it's accurate to frame him as the hero or even more appropriately an anti-hero.

lol idk where i was going with this but i dont think wilbur deserves to be framed as tommys villian cuz he was very upfront with tommy about everything bar his chekovs gun his "villiany" is very much in the same way techno's is morally grey but not in a manipulative way

wilbur was right that tommy was blaming him the same way he blamed him in pogtopia, sure wilbur's a little controlling at times with his perfect plan for l'manburg but not in the way dream is (that bitch is crazy)

dude i'm a wilbur apologist okay lol, i dont really care about the morality of each character all that much (sure like to talk about it tho) i just dont think tommy's the good guy he thinks he is and should accept it before he gets more people hurt.

note: i was gonna try and end this on a positive note cause i dont want to make it seem like im shitting all over tommys character (it's a lot of the smps first try at character writing i get it) but i couldnt really think of a good one lol :)

Thoughts on c!wilbur? Im curious about what you think of him!

wooo okay okay okay. honestly i ejoy c!wilbur very much as a character- i think he's really well written and i believe his storyline was, from start to finish, one of the best character storylines in the entire smp to the date. all the little ways he slowly spiraled from the moment eret betrayed him (and even a bit earlier, actually) were so interesting and well done and i really really like him.

i thought his death was interesting. he got a hero's death, honestly, and a part of me felt a bit bitter about it because i don't think he deserved one. i think c!wilbur getting to dies in the ruins of the country he built, while incredibly poetic and amazing writing, was unfair. i thought it was unfair he made c!tubbo president of nothing. i thought it was unfair he left c!tommy to deal with the broken pieces of what he once called home. i thought it was unfair he made c!philza do it. i thought it was unfair he betrayed his people. was it good writing? god, absolutely. it was incredible writing. i think he didn't earn a death like that, tho, in a way. honestly, considering his personal limbo was a train station in which life passed by while he watched and was unable to do anything, i think c!wilbur thought that as well.

he did terrible things. he did evil things. he was a traitor, and a bad friend. was it because of his decaying mental health? yeah. is it his fault? not really. but god, it doesn't change the fact so many people got hurt because of him.

ghostbur was my fucking jam. the entire premise of ghostbur was so fucking sad in its own but just- everything about ghostbur. god i adored him. i adored him so much. not even talking about writing, i just think he was great. the whole scene with him on doomsday? that fucking broke me. ghostbur was amazing. i'm still so upset about what happened to him he deserved BETTER

revivebur mmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmm LOVE IT. I DO. he's so fucking self-obsessed. he's a prick. i adore him. i know a lot of people have criticism over c!wilbur being revived but i think it's great. for one, c!wilbur brings an unique viewpoint to the story because he's self-assured and smart while also being a great leader that has a knack for persuading people. second, he's a potential antagonist/ally to so many characters that have remained peaceful/neutral since he died. i think revivebur brings so much potential to the story, specially at the point where it is right now.

c!wilbur is genuinely one of my favorite characters in the smp, i don't think i talk about him enough. he's really cool. i'm not an apologist tho i think he has done so much fucked up shit and i believe his mental illness doesn't justify/erase the hurt he's caused but he's genuinely such a good character. god i love him

My OC's relationships on the Dream SMP

These are all characters, not the actual streamers! <3 It's also not all of them since I don't watch a few of them :) I harbour no hate towards the people behind the characters that I have issues with lmao

Awesamdude - Negative relationship - basically, he let Quackity get away with putting Techno away, let Tommy die and get revived by Dream and then never apologised, and then let ghostbur die and... wtf - Yeah we aren't friends. In another universe, if he weren't the warden, we might get along.

BadBoyHalo - He kinda gives me bad vibes - After the egg stuff I just don't really like to be around him... he killed Foolish and tried to kill everyone at the banquet which I just don't vibe with - I kinda understand why he joined the egg. I mean he was there for Skeppy which I think is ok, but he really went off the deep end. If he redeems himself, I'll be the first to befriend him (cautiously)

Callahan - Alright I taught him some American Sign Language for basic communication - I go and hang out with him whenever I feel like there's too much angst on the server, he's so neutral it's honestly relaxing.

Captain Puffy - We don't know each other very well - I mean I agree with her when it comes to the egg and she seems nice but it's hard to be friends with her when her son is Dream... poor Foolish, though.

Connor - I don't know how to feel about him - I don't have anything against him but... he just seems like someone I wouldn't get along with so I don't hang out with him. He is kinda funny tho

Dream - Ok, ok, he's just an ass - I'm not even gonna list why, you know why... I'm just saying. - I do feel bad for him since Quackity just beats the living shit out of him and he's already in prison so why...?

Dream XD - I fear no man... but that thing... it scares me. - Why his voice do that?? - I avoid him but if he approached me, I would be ok with being his friend, I mean he's a god. If I don't then I might die. Might as well use it to the fullest extent I can.

Eret - I don't really understand why he joined the opposing side during the L'Manburg war - I mean she's cool! I like their outfits and it's nice to have another queer person on the DSMP - I think we'd be good friends in another life, but our friend groups don't overlap very much, so it's hard to hang with them.

Foolish - Little bit scary ngl - Lightning go brrrrrr - I feel really bad for him since he's gotta be related to Dream and he died during the egg shit. That's just cruel. - also I don't really vibe with his personality but I do like to talk to him about his building ventures since I also love to build

Fundy - I feel sooooo bad for him - He's super cute, super sweet, and he just deserves more love - I plant sweet berries around his house to brighten his day whenever I can and I also feed his fox - I love to talk to him and he teaches me dutch sometimes because it's an interesting language. Also, he just deserves a good role model in his life... Like Will kinda sucked as his dad, Schlatt was not a good role model, and his friends don't really care about him. :( - Um also (IRL) he's the reason I started watching the DSMP, I love coding and Dutch so it was a very good mix for me

George - I sleep the opposite amount that he does. - I love his mushroom aesthetic but I stay away from him in fear of Dream XD. - I don't have a lot to say about him since he's not on the dsmp much

Jack Manifold - Yo he's lowkey annoying??? - Give Tommy his hotel back??? He died??? - If he were nicer to Tommy I'd be his friend but he's gotta get his shit together lmao

Jschlatt - Fuck that guy - bruh, he ruined L'Manburg?? - He drinks too much, not surprised he had a heart attack oof

Glatt - Ghost Schlatt gives me such chaotic evil vibes - I enjoy his presence much more than I enjoy his living presence. - I like the fact that he's kinda useless and can't do anything. It's like going to a zoo to see a creature you wouldn't want to see in the wild

Karl Jacobs - I feel bad that he's losing his memory, he's such a fun character. - I like to hang out with him but he makes me sad and also our friend groups do not vibe with each other oof

Niki Nihachu - She's super sweet and absolutely terrifying. - I love to help her bake and its super fun to try out new recipes with her - People really underestimate her and in return for her help with the baking, I help her train her fighting skills.

Philza - DADZA - I get in trouble with him a lot oof, I like to troll people so it happens quite a bit. Also, I take the blame for a lot of the stuff Techno and I get up to as well as with the bench trio. - He taught me how to sew and crochet so I can make my own clothes. I also build with him whenever he asks for help

Quackity - Scared. - He's rude and evil and I dislike him... gambling bad - I like Charlie and I think he's a good influence on Quackity but tbh I feel the same as Techno in this scenario. I am not a Quackity apologist!

Ranboo - I have the same vibe as him. We are one and the same. - I keep an eye on him during his enderwalks, he worries me sometimes. - Out of everyone in the bench trio, we get along the best. I take care of Michael sometimes when he's out doing Snowchester stuff with Tubbo.

Sapnap - I mean I dislike him a little, he throws off my vibe. - He's on the wrong side of everything imo, just stop being weird, big man... - Also I mean I don't understand why he threatened Dream with torture if he ever escaped. Like you don't have to tell him that, just do it? - We have very similar voices (IRL oh no) and so I'll mess with people by doing my best impression of him

Skeppy - One of the many victims of my trolling (with techno usually) - He's fun to hang out with for a while but I can't handle being around him for too long, he gives me a headache - Sometimes I wonder if he's actually made out of diamonds... should I kill him and see what happens?

Charlie (Slimecicle) - BEST BOY I LOVE HIM - HE'S SO CUTE DAP ME UP - Honestly, we get along soooo well, he reminds me of a slime for some reason, hmmmmmmmm - I try to teach him human-ness because if he doesn't want to look like a slime then there's no reason for me to say no

Technoblade - Ah yes the best one on the SMP - He did not like me at first, I can be a bit annoying oh no - Eventually, he got a soft spot for me since we have the same sense of humour and I love to mess with people - I sympathise with him, he deserves so much more than he's getting. - I wish he didn't express his emotions as anger all the time since it really affects everyone. He's got some anger issues and I try to deal with them with him.

TommyInnit - Omg I still find him annoying but I love to hang out with him like Wilbur does. - He needs to learn some boundaries but he is still a kid, so it doesn't really matter. I think people have to stop being little shits to him since his brain hasn't fully formed, like all adolescents. - He's very sweet sometimes and I appreciate his assistance in a lot of random tasks

Tubbo - I am allergic to bees so we can't hang too much - I like to chill with him and Ranboo and sometimes him and Tommy, but I'm always telling Tommy off for being a little shit to Tubbo. - I do not approve of his governmental ways, but his heart is in the right place. Also, why do you have nukes?

Wilbur Soot - Too much government, I do not approve - not a good father - Eventually, he stopped governmenting so whatever, no more animosity from me, eh?

Ghostbur - Awww he gave me blue - how dare he die twice - I love friend, I walked him sometimes. So glad he has infinite canon lives - I wish he had more time on the SMP, he's super sweet and his vibe is amazing

Revivebur - Alright he's kinda cool, I like his hair. - He doesn't have any governmental plans thank god - He's a bit worrying but he hasn't done anything yet. I'll just keep my eyes on him.

This could represent wilbur being lonely in the jubile line for so much time without anywhere to go, and nothing to do, so i think in the 'but nothing ever happens' he could be shown playing solitare because there's nothing else to do.

the first 2 lines can be dream conducting the train to get wilbur back from death, in the 3 line it could be ghostbur's point of view, while wilbur is sitting in the jubile line and ghostbur is being taken hostage by dream in the vault. 'i feel so lonely, i'm waiting for you' could be a flashback to when tommy got revived and he was alone once again, the 2 last lines could be the train arriving for him.

This verse could symbolise his memories of when he was actually president and had power, the rest is about how it was revealed he was already in downfall before pogtopia and his paranoid thoughts before the elections, the lasy 2 lines symbolise stuff ACTUALLY HAPPENING, as schlatt exiles him and tommy from their own nation.

the others 'all that i can see' could be revivedbur in his dream apologist arc because he doesnt know all the atrocities dream commited, all he can see is the man that saved him from the jubile line, and the last 'all that i can see' could be ghostbur crying in the jubile line surrounded by whatever thing phil said about him being gone (confirmed statement made by wilbur on reddit) because is all he can see aside from the train station and empty loneliness

That's the whole lyric breakdown! sorry for extending myself so much, i just wanted to explain why i personally think c!wilbur fits this song and i hope it helped hue hue

hahahahha that’s funny lol (saying that the author of the common enemy fics is c!dream) but yeah common enemy definitely won’t fix the issues cause it’s the cycle of violence that they have to break and that definitely will not be fixed easily

woooo syndicate supremacy (I’ve finally learned how to spell syndicate correctly through our conversation lol) they’re definitely doing better than other people on the server and I love that for them! oh yeah either or both c!tommy and c!dream definitely need to reflect on the fact that they’re both make eachother worse. I absolutely loved how that fic handled that aspect of it because closure and freedom is exactly what I want for c!dream and c!tommy more than anything. yeah exactly!! which is why I don’t like the idea of c!dream dying either cause it just leaves everything unresolved. I doubt that’ll happen in canon tho

yea!! can’t wait for the angst! cc!wilbur just posted on reddit about ghostbur so we’ve already got some more of it 😔✌️which also reminds me that I’m sooo interested to see how c!dream is like once he’s out of prison because so much of the fandom believes different thing and there’s no way that he’s gonna be better or changed cause he’s had no opportunity to plus he’s been through terrible torture for so long and I can’t wait to see the effect of that. which also reminds me that I’ve seen lately that a lot of the fandom seems to think that c!dream was put in the prison as a punishment when it was less about that and more about the fact that he could revive people and that his last canon life would have been taken if not for that fact. a lot of the fandom says he deserves the prison but not the torture as a punishment but that’s not why he was put in the prison and if that was the case literally every other character would deserve the same punishment as well as they’re all characters that have done bad things. I feel like my typing is just getting more and more rambly and less and less well punctuated lol sorry

oh yeah those fandom rules definitely make sense. especially as someone who has been in online fandom spaces for like a long time and has seen all the tumblr discourse lol. like yeah those rules were actually not bad and don’t send death threats or harass people shouldn’t have to be said as much as it is in mcyttwt. I really do wish that the young people in this fandom realise that they’re allowed to just have fun and do what they like in fandom

I think that taking into account the fact that a character is a minor is definitely important I just disagree with the way that a lot of people use it as such a final argument that doesn’t leave room for discussion. yeah I’m the same like when I was younger I used to think I was so grown up but like I’m 18 now and I realise that that’s still so young even though at 18 I’m an adult. basically like the “child” argument is not so black and white either like instead of a defence I think it’s more something that should be taken into account when discussing a characters actions and I definitely agree with the characters you’ve added as people who that can be extended to. and yeah like in real life the minors would face soo many more consequences it’s kind of funny like everyone would but with it being such a prominent topic of discussion it’s funnier applying real life rules to dsmp is often so funny. I agree c!tommy should 100% pay taxes that would be hilarious

ooh yeah the three life system interesting cause at first glance you’d think it makes them worth less but evidently not and I do wonder how the characters see it. like you said with c!foolish and c!puffy it was traumatic to take a first life but for some it just seems as chances and the last life is what actually matters. who it’s against and also circumstance I think matters. I also tend to brush off c!tommy taking two of c!dream’s lives but I also tend to brush off the canon lives lost during the first l’manburg war as it was war and c!dteam and co were just better. I suppose I’m an everything but l’manburg apologist because of its foundations ig although I can still understand and acknowledge it’s importance to the characters such as c!tommy. I’ve seen it said that c!dream deserves prison because he took two of c!tommy’s canon, amongst other reasons of course, but so many other characters have taken canon lives and how do you determine the consequence of that in the dsmp cause in irl it’s very different and in the dsmp so far there really is no consequence for murder. like for example c!punz took two of c!wilburs canon lives (I stan him for that I’m a punz simp what can I say) and other characters have taken canon lives too. hmm I wonder what determined the severity of crimes on the dsmp cause the one character that’s in prison wasn’t actually put in there for his crimes.

I will say though that I am quite enjoying this discussion cause it’s the most in depth discussion I’ve been able to have about this

I saw the angst wilbur put on reddit that mother fucker (affectionate) I actually have a rewlly weird relationship with wilbur’s meta lore. Things I accept: sally is a salmon, fridge mom, all the characters being morally gray. Things I don’t accept: whatever he was trying to do with character ages, also saying revivebur was straight when c!tommy saw him and quackity making out like nice try king. One of my biggest issues with the sever is that I get so easily attached to mobs/npcs in dream smp and they die so easy so Im always sobbing,,,, if anything happens to shroud, yogurt, michael (notchill), or fran I’ll mcfucking lose it

For c!dream getting out of prison I see there being only two routes: 1. he’s worse by a lot more evil more fucked up or 2. He’ll be actually too fucked up/tired/traumatized to do shit. Either of which is gonna hurt the sever so I’m looking forward to it personally

Other real life things I think should be implemented into dream smp: jury duty, required 3 life insurance, dentsits, and OSHA

I do think the rebellion against c!dream (in the final control room) is really interrsting in that c!tommy/c!punz was about to organize a bunch of the server against dream? I know c!tommy has amazing puppy eyes tm but c!punz was able to organize a big group of people, half of them didn’t really have that much against dream (other than the l’manburg people) and were only there on more vague terms. Like c!hbomb and c!ponk really didn’t have shit against dream but still helped in getting him into prison

I feel like we’re always gonna have to reach a little bit and oh shit 1,000 words? Bruh half my classes require that and I have yet to actually right that much. it’s way easier with stuff you’re passionate about and with all the content dream smp has gives way more to analyze
