Do we have a list of funny Adrinette fics where Mari is emphasized as Adrien's VERY GOOD FRIEND and she retaliated for revenge/fun??? or where Adrien is talking about Buttercup and he's clueless it's him?? Basically fics where Adrien is an idiot but a very lovable one and you just cannot stop reading.

Something like the ones in the list below, and yes I realize I am just about to share my own list again LOL, so feel free to read if you're in the mood. But pretty please give me more suggestions to add to this list because I am currently in the need for more.

My list of Lovable idiot Adrien fanfics (in order of my latest nth reread/recollection)

1) Adrien Is A Dumb Blond by DracoGal - one shot where Marinette is a brave girl who confessed and flirts above and beyond (A++ really) and is still labelled a VERY GOOD FRIEND because Adrien is that clueless.

2) your keysmash says it all by Noukon - a very sweet friendship social media series fic where our Mari is a sweet friend who loves Buttercup but is still shipping Adrigami out of loyalty, and Adrien is having feelings/stirrings but he's also blind. This brought me a whole lot of big smiles but is also still ongoing.

3) words he only dreamed to hear by alizeh (maketea), maketea - where LB is the sweetest and they are officially dating (and kissing, yes your honor) but our boy is clueless, he doesn't know they're dating.

4) pretty lady, look at how he's smiling by Missnoodles - this is more sweet and romantic than funny but I wanna add it in this list anyway because well, it is SO cute and they fell in love because of camembert and etsy cards lol

thinking about the miraculous ladybug scene where ladybug takes chat noir’s hand and promises, i’ll never abandon you, and the look of pure shock and wonder chat gives her in return.

imagine you are adrien agreste. your mother’s gone. your father is absent in every way that matters, and it’s nearly worse then loosing your mom, because your father? he chose to leave you. he chose the coldness and the calculated control and to bury your love a hundred feet down in a coffin of its own. and then, one day, you are chosen to wield the power of destruction and you think, this makes sense. maybe you were born from misfortune and meant for ruination. cataclysm isn’t an entirely a foreign concept to you, after all. you’ve grown up seeing every relationship and bit of hope around you break down and rust and dissolve into dust.

then you fall in love with a girl who creates, who pulls both ideas and the tangible manifestation of them out of thin air. she is fortune, everything you are not, but you love her with everything you are.

still, the fear that this girl - that the luckiness that’s touched your life - will abandon you when you least expect it is always lurking somewhere in the back of your mind. you’re scared that, one day, you will wait alone on a rooftop until a starry night sky turns to sunshine, and she’ll never show. everyone leaves you. good luck is not yours. this is just a fact you know.

so you tell her this beneath a painted orange sky, and then much to your surprise, this living, breathing personification of good luck takes your hand, stares into your scared eyes, and swears, i’ll never leave you.

Having a favorite side of the lovesquare is loving and appreciating all sides of the lovesquare because they are all the same two people and just overall enjoying the lovesquare as a whole, but also having one particular side that makes your heart extra giddy whenever you see them and makes you especially excited to watch their scenes

Summary:

After finally moving into his very first apartment per Ladybug’s suggestion, Adrien discovers something no movie or TV show could have ever prepared him for: someone else's hamster. Marinette was so excited to have her first pet. If only it would stop escaping! At least now there’s an excuse to talk to the new neighbor.

Excerpt:

Adrien blinked at the little white and gray ball of fluff peeking out at him from under his armchair recliner. It had been a gaudy, indulgent purchase—one of the first he had made once he finally escaped the prison that was his father’s mansion. He had only had it a few days and now, what seemed to be a hamster had made its home atop the metal platform that supported the chair.

“What?” The sound of Plagg’s voice beside him gave him a start. “This place has mice? I am not sharing my cheese. You better figure out how to get rid of them.”

Adrien laughed. “I think it’s a hamster, Plagg,” he said. “Like someone’s pet?”

maybe writing hcs of my own damn fic is silly but ahdjsjs. what makes me emotional about cookie cutter ladynoir is the closeness that comes from being in a kitchen with someone. because spending time with someone in a kitchen is so wholly unconditional, especially when that person is cooking or something and you just want to sit and talk to them, like ladybug does with chat noir in cc. it's just so intrinsically evident that you just enjoy being in the presence of someone. because who just sits in a kitchen for fun otherwise?
