Anyone else think about how if Crowley and Aziraphale ran off to Alpha Centauri it would be a death sentence because Aziraphale said it’s “all getting shut down” in 6,000 years? He didn’t say “the Earth,” he said “All of this.”
I think it might put Aziraphale’s decision to stick around and keep the apocalypse from happening in a different light. But of course, he hasn’t told Crowley this. Probably still has some crushing guilt about telling him about it the first time around.

If I keep asking for long-haired Crowley to happen again for season 3, it may come true.
I’m going all out for it! Bring this beauty back!

(Not Crowley but captures the same idea, and probably be how Crowley would be after the leaving)

I saw someone describe GO as “corporate” and I’m just like “Honey, no, sit down before you hurt yourself.”
“Corporate” would be hiring Johnny Depp to play Crowley, which is apparently who Amazon wanted cuz he was a big name but Neil fought tooth and nail to get David.
In fact, had Neil not stepped in as showrunner we would’ve probably gotten something like Netflix’s The Witcher (negative) or Ring’s of Power and something so appallingly unrecognizable from the book, you’d be surprised it even came from the novel.
Neil stepping in is definitely why it wasn’t turned into the corporate ideal and should thank our lucky stars it panned out the way it did.

I'm currently re-reading Good Omens (well, I should say listening to the brilliant full cast Audiobook), and I wanted to point out to you all that Crowley "wanted Bach, but would settle with the Traveling Wilburys", so I wanted to give you all the image of Crowley, who is at heart, an optimist, driving in Bentley to a fresh cassette of this gem.

as much as I shit on Neil Gaiman, I have to admit that I love him. The man's an amazing artist and I love what he does. I loved Coraline since I was too young to read, and when I did read the book I loved it more. When I first heard good omens I was in the car, the audiobook going in one ear and out the other, my dad loves that book so I read it and I love it so much. It was all I would talk about for weeks and then, as with all hyperfixations, I got over it. I didn't want to watch the show because it looked bad (I thought Crowley's eyes were scary, I was also upset about his red hair. "WHAT PART OF DARK HAIR DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!?!!" -me) but once I gave it a watch I immediately fell in love and my obsession came back full force. I was pleasantly surprised that the show was good, as film versions of books tend to suck, but it is just so good!! This book will forever have a special place in my heart

Yall already know I'm An Old™️ but join me now because I'm indulging in a little foray into my Oldness.
I don't think "hipster" has been a thing for a while, but I assume we all understand that hipster is defined as "someone who is a pretentious snob about something innocuous." It's the sneering superiority of a "I liked it before it was cool, you hadn't heard of it". Right? Ok so now that we've defined our terms, we can move on.
So, I allow myself the luxury of being a hipster about precisely two things, and two things only. Because I actually did like them before mainstream culture got a hold of them, and I never won't be a tiny bit giddy when I think of where we started vs what it is now.
Good Omens is the first one. I wouldn't be diagnosed with adhd until my mid-thirties, which I mention because it should carry some weight when I say that this novel remains the only book I ever read cover-to-cover eight times. If I had to shortlist five my favorite novels, Good Omens would easily make the cut. The show is the ultimate book-to-screen adaptation of all time, including Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings," and I've got a little tent and plenty of rations and I am ready to die for my cause on this hill. My beloved first edition and its crumbling dust jacket are prized possessions. I am so proud to have known her when.
But the second one, oh I'm proud of that one too.
When I was a teenager, I read a book by an author named Gregory Maguire. I couldn't put it down. It was captivating, painting a picture of an innocent life borne of a drug-using, neglected and neglectful mother. A life lived as best they could under unending prejudice and cruelty, which produced a person so misunderstood that even their attempt at social good was painted as evil, even when they were only trying to protect their paraplegic sister. Whose oldest friend put ambition and homewreckery before a friendship that stretched back into adolescence. A person who lost absolutely everything and then their life, only to live on in the infamy of a twisted and maligned legacy. The story of a girl born with horrible birth defects: deathly allergic to water, and skin the most peculiar shade of green.
I had never before read a story told from the villains point of view, especially not one that corrected me so firmly on my definition of "villain." It changed me.
Anyway, Wicked is finally getting its movie after easily a decade of murmur and rumor. I wish I could tell you all how giddy and handflappy and feet-kicky I got when the trailer aired unexpectedly. I don't even care if the movie is hot trash, I will be happy to see its evolution regardless. Because after all, I know the truth, I was there at the beginning..... I liked it before it was cool.
By the way, and I'm sorry to be This Guy, but if you've only seen the musical then you have missed half the story, because the original ending could not be fit into the format of a stage musical. They had to Disney-fy it in order for the story to work (a choice I do not begrudge them.) The original ending ripped out my soul through my teeth. I still think about it.

You know, Crowley literally made it rain fire in 1941 in order to save Aziraphale. Sheltering together from the rain of fire was Crowley’s idea of love. But I think Aziraphale cared more that Crowley saved his books than about raining fire to protect him.
They have really been seeing shit differently this entire time.

I got a theory that God is a lot closer than we thought on watching the ineffable husbands.
Does anyone remember the waitress in the Rome segment, when Crowley asked for anything edible? When Aziraphale came to meet him, there was a shot where the waitress was viewed, watching them.
Why do that when she’s irrelevant to their meeting?
Hmm.
And then, another suggestion would be the Asian woman, being the only non-English speaker that is fluent with Aziraphale as he invites people to the “meeting”.
Seeing that God is portrayed female, I believe that God is there on Earth, watching them as various human women in different time periods, watching them after the Job story.
This is just a theory, but if somehow I’m proven right in season 3, with God actually speaking with them as another woman and whether or not it would be revealed, I’d be mind blown

I am convinced that Good Omens is just the first version of those old demon x angel gacha life videos. Like, did Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett go into the future, watch one of those videos, go back into the 90's and think "This would make a great book"?
If so, they we're right. I'm eating it up.

"There was something about a beautiful woman on a powerful motorbike, with a sword stuck on the back that had a powerful effect on a certain type of man".
-Good Omens
I always identified as a cis woman, but according to Good Omens I am a "certain type of man" 😂
