Anko and Ino are both sure of themselves and their abilities, they are not afraid to show off and more than anything, they are every bit as capable as they say they are. The danger of sending them together in a mission...

Chiyo and Tenten army of two: one puppet master and one weapon master together? As long as Tenten is armed to the teeth, Chiyo would have the time of her life controlling a flying arsenal. Let's not forget that Tenten was trained by Gai, so she surely knows how to evade and be fast when she wants to.

Yugao and Shizune poison blades: two elite women of Konoha, specialists in kenjutsu and poison. It wouldn't be exactly nice to have them in your pursuit. It's not every day that an anbu captain and one of Lady Tsunade's appreciates want you dead. Just be careful to notice the senbon ad you try to don't fall for Yugao's katana.

while i do joke about reborn as tsuna's daddy issue a lot i tend to 'err' when it comes to actually calling reborn as tsuna's father figure because to me what they have as a mentor and apprentice is a stronger bond than assigning them nuclear family roles

compared to making reborn "im the stepdad who stepped up" i prefer their relationship as something like an old knight who watched his squire grew up to be the hero king

the difference between bleach and a lot of 90s/2000s shounen is that it had elements of truly excellent, subtle writing and compelling female characters who had interesting relationships between one another, which is what makes its downfall into the worlds most boring typical battle shounen that much more of a tragedy

Narratively speaking: Konan.

Honorable mentions: Tsunade Senjü, Mei Terumi, Mikoto Uchiha.

Negative opinion: Sakura Haruno and Hinata Hyüga, mostly because of their fandoms. In the manga, they're fine (albeit Hinata is a little more unbearable).

Neutral towards: Pretty much everybody else.

▸As the heir, he had certain expectations made for him.

▸That led to his engagement.

▸To Uchiha [Name], the adopted daughter of Madara Uchiha.

▸When he first met her, he noticed a few things about his future wife.

▸One, she was a little timid but had a nice smile. Two, she flinched whenever she was touched. Third, she was scared of her father - Madara.

▸It wasn't hard to get along with her, Itachi decided.

▸Perhaps it was because he knew he had to spend his life with [Name] so he turned on a smooth filter which made him see her in a better light but Itachi liked her enough.

▸Slowly as they grew older, the raven-haired heir grew more obsessed with the idea of spending time with his wife.

▸ That's when he began noticing the signs.

▸Despite not being a Uchiha by blood, [Name] was a Uchiha by heart. She knew how to hide what she wanted to hide behind a cold yet gentle smile, the way her [colour] eyes would be gleaming telling anyone not to pry any further.

▸But she couldn't hide the signs of abuse.

▸The way her hands would be quivering and she would avoid more people, the way her clothes would be covering every inch of her body apart from her face and neck.

▸All of this happened mostly when she returned home from the place she shared with Itachi since their education was in another area.

▸Since Itachi was the heir and Madara despite being in power had crumbled when his wife had met her death in a tragic accident, it made it easier for Itachi to get information.

▸When he read about what was happening to [Name] ever since she was ten, his blood boiled in anger and it was the first time in his life that he portrayed his anger - he threw everything in the room that he could get his hands on.

▸Sitting on the chair with his head down and his eyes focused on the words on the paper.

▸According to the investigations, Madara loved his wife very much - typical like any other Uchiha.

▸His wife happened to have a weak body which led to them adopting [Name] as their one and only daughter, it was all fine till that particular day.

▸An assassination attempt on the great Madara's family, where the bravery of a mother who sacrificed herself for her daughter.

▸But that's not what Madara thought, in his eyes, his adopted daughter was the reason his beloved wife died.

▸That day Madara might have lost just his wife but [Name] lost both her mother and father, all because she survived.

▸And from that day, her hell on Earth began.

▸As Itachi continued to read on and on, tears fell from his eyes as his heart wept for the woman he loved.

▸He took a personal oath that day, to have vengeance on the man who ruined his wife.

▸[Name] wasn't a complicated character by heart, she held her heart in the depths of a chamber which was heart to get in.

▸In the light of his life, he spent most of his time charming his fiance. 

▸While in the shadows of his life, he schemed to have his dear father-in-law fall off the throne he sat on.

▸It wasn't easy but Itachi was called a prodigy for a reason.

▸"Itachi!" [Name] gasped in surprise and held her fiance's hand in her own, "There's blood! Are you alright?"

▸"Ah..." Itachi simply chuckled, "It's nothing, I was just helping someone with a wound."

▸"Is that so?" [Name] let out a sigh of relief.

▸"I'm glad you're alright," She smiled at him.

▸[Name] was quite smart so Itachi always had to be one step ahead of her, after all, he hadn't forgotten how she too was a prodigy on her own.

▸Having men follow her every move so he could always be notified if she was ever in danger, silencing anyone who opposed his beloved.

▸Segregating her slowly but steadily, was an easy task.

▸After all, as the only heir of Madara Uchiha, she had always been too busy so she rarely interacted with others apart from him and his family.

▸All the time, he made sure anything Madara wanted to do - whether it be a new project or prosal, it would be ruined sooner or later.

▸Since this bastard had ruined his pretty [Name]'s childhood, he was going to ruin anything and everything of Madara's.

▸Starting with the huge portrait which laid in front of him.

▸Itachi flicked the golden frame of the protected portrait of Madara's late wife with his fingers, it was said and confirmed by [Name] that Madara cherished this painting more than anything.

▸So what better way to start his doom than to ruin this painting?

▸[Name] told him, along with the painting - there was a private garden that was guarded heavily because it was her mother's favourite place.

▸With spies in the household and resources by his side, it was quite easy to start a fire when Madara was away from the old mansion.

▸What would await once the old man returned would not even be ashes of not only his beloved painting but also the flowers.

▸As they got news of the sudden start of the fire in the old mansion, the Uchiha clan's main branch - Fugaku, Mikoto, Sasuke, Itachi and [Name] - hurried towards the burning place.

▸Looking at the beautiful flames of fire which mingled between various shades of red, orange and yellow, satisfaction bloomed in Itachi's heart.

▸Hidden in the shadows, Itachi watched with an amused expression as the great Madara Uchiha who was a well-known intimidating personality, fall onto his knees was a great experience, one which Itachi made sure he would enjoy again and again.

▸Until, nothing remained of the legend - Madara Uchiha.

▸The stage was set, and only one thing remained in this fairytale-like story.

▸The hero [Itachi] saves his heroine [Name] by defeating the evil villain [Madara] who had been an obstacle in their journey and he would achieve their happy ending.
