How much of your series do you have finished before you start posting? Do you have the full thing finished the post on a schedule; do you have some of it written and just write to stay ahead; do you post as you finish each next part? Something else?
So I do it many different ways, depending on the story! This one I am writing as I go, so when I finish a chapter, I post it, and it's not written ahead. When I have fewer WiPs going on at once, I tend to have more written ahead (I prefer that, because then I feel less impulsive to post it ASAP instead of letting it sit and rereading a chunk of time later before I post), but it happens that right now I have a million things WHOOPS haha.

What will we tell Dean?
Pairing: Sam Winchester x GN!Reader

A/N: It's me @emilyshurley posting from my main. (Also no I'll not explain what led to this)
You and Sam were cuddled up together on the couch in the 'Dean Cave'. Your bodies were entwined, and you both wore big smiles on your faces. It was clear that you had just shared a moment of deep intimacy, and the warmth of your connection filled the room.
As you lay there in each other's arms, Sam turned to you and took your hand. He looked into your eyes with a look of pure adoration and whispered, "I can't imagine my life without you. You make everything better."
Your heart skipped a beat at Sam's words, and you felt your own love for him swell within you. You turned to him and smiled, "I feel the same way, Sam. You make everything in my life better too."
Sam took a deep breath and sat up, still holding your hand. "There's something I've been wanting to ask you," he said, looking into your eyes. "But first, I need to tell you how much I love you."
He leaned in and kissed you softly, his hands roaming over your body. You felt a shiver run down your spine as his touch sent sparks through your veins. It was clear that this wasn't just any proposal, but a moment of pure passion and desire.
Finally, Sam pulled away and looked deeply into your eyes. "Will you marry me?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.
You gasped, your heart pounding with excitement. "Yes, Sam! Of course, I will," you replied, throwing your arms around him.
Sam pulled you close, and you felt his strong arms envelop you, his body pressed tightly against yours. It was clear that this moment would be one that you would both cherish forever.
As the two of you lay entwined on the couch, your bare skin pressed against his. The warmth of your bodies filled the room, and the afterglow of your intimate moment still lingered in the air.
You asked him something that was on your mind, "What will we tell Dean?". All the possibilities of how he would react racing through your mind.
Sam's face went from surprise to amusement as he understood your question, and he chuckled softly.
"We can tell him anything you want, but I think he'd kill us if we told him I asked you to marry me, in the...in his 'Dean Cave' while we were..." he trailed off, his face going red as he gestured to your still bare skin.
You raised an eyebrow at him, a teasing grin playing at the corners of your mouth. "You really want him to know that part?" you asked, your voice filled with mock disbelief.
Sam smiled at your little tease and nodded. "I mean... yeah... That's exactly what we did, after all. It's a fact. Can't hide that one," he said with a chuckle, leaning in to give you a soft kiss on the cheek.
"But yeah, after a while he'll think it's hilarious and he's gonna tease us about it forever, you know that right?" Sam continued, his voice filled with amusement.
You laughed, feeling a wave of joy wash over you.

(Y/N) walked in from the garage with another box marked Christmas Decorations.
“Damn it.” Jensen muttered from the other room, “This means war you sparkly bastards…”
She looked around the corner to see her gorgeous husband sitting on the ground surrounded by Christmas lights. He had been in the same spot for she didn’t know how long, trying to untangle their Christmas lights.
“You okay?”
“No, no I’m not. I’ve spent half my afternoon untangling them.” Jensen held up the clusterfuck of lights, “Son of a bitch! It’s never ending!”
(Y/N) giggled, “Your Dean is showing pretty boy.”
His mossy eyes narrowed on the lights, “Well these fucking lights better hope only Dean comes out because if Soldier Boy starts showing up then I’m going to set them all on fire.”
(Y/N) set down the box she was holding, walking over to him, “Here, give them to me. Why don’t you go out and get us some dinner. Take a ride in Baby since you just got her all updated and pretty.”
His face immediately softened as he slipped his hand behind her neck kissing her, “Thanks babe. I love you.”
“Love you too, pretty boy. Now go.”
He didn’t have to be told twice, leaving the heap of tangled lights in front of her. (Y/N) closed her eyes hearing the familiar roar of Baby’s engine. When it faded into silence, (Y/N) began working on the lights in front of her. Within a half a hour she had all the lights neatly stretched out except for the strand hanging around her neck. Seeing her reflection in the window an idea popped into her head.
“Babe? (Y/N), I’m home.”
She heard Jensen call out from downstairs. She arranged herself on their bed perfectly before responding.
“I’m upstairs! Could you come help me, please?”
She heard his heavy footsteps bounding up the stairs, “I see you won the war with the Christmas lights.”
He stopped in the doorway with wide eyes shining from the bright lights wrapped all around her naked body. His jaw slacked for a second as his eyes roamed over her. His lips curled into a handsome smirk.
“Well… almost won the war.” He chuckled.
“Do mind helping me untangle a few more lights?” (Y/N) held up the end of the strand, “I think you’ll find victory over the lights to be very rewarding.”
He took her hand, helping her stand as he twirled her round and round unwrapping the lights from her. She giggled holding onto his shoulders to steady herself. His hands slipped around her hips and down beneath her buttcheeks. In one swoop, her legs were wrapped around his waist and they were falling back onto the bed. Forgetting all about the heap of lights on the floor they would have to untangle once more.

Fellow writers, I have a question!
For any of the 'x happens when you see/hear' your soulmate for the first time' tropes have any of you tried/thought about how it would work with someone who sees their soulmate on a phone or t.v. etc? (Oooh, voice actor, and the characters catch phrase is the first words).
Is it like a only happens if you encounter them in real life? Or do you imagine it more as a it's one sided then the character has to try convince their soul mate that they're not an obsessed fan making it up and its worthwhile actually meeting up. Or do you have a different take I haven't thought of?

bit of a random one, but i was going through all of my clothes and came across these supernatural t-shirts which are far too small for me to get my tits and belly into these days so i was curious if anybody wanted them? all i’d ask for is a small fee (£2/$2.50 for each shirt?) and maybe a little something for postage (depending on where you are in the world obv).
edit: all size SMALL
one is a jack daniels inspired winchester shirt, the second is one of jensen’s t-shirts from when every celebrity was releasing their own clothing and the other is a “road so far” t-shirt (but only up to season seven at that point)… on the back has the name of every episode up until the end of season seven

The warmth of the morning sunlight beat through the window and hit your face. It felt nice, yes, but you had to roll over and bury your face into the cool skin of the person that laid next to you. You took in a deep breath to see if you could still smell the lingering smell of the woodsy cologne he wore. You could. The corner of your lips tugged into a small smile as you exhaled and wrapped an arm around your lover's bare torso and snuggled closer to him.
“Darling,” the morning rasp of Daniel’s voice caused your ears to perk up. You loved it when his voice got like that. You’d do anything to hear his voice like that. You felt the bed shift around beside you. “Darling,” Daniel repeated again, this time you felt his hand on your face.
You opened one eye and saw that Daniel had sat up on his right arm. He brushed the hair from your face and smiled down at you once he saw you fully open your eyes. His dark brown eyes never left your face. You knew exactly what he was going to say.
“I know,” your voice was soft as you said it first. “I gotta get up and catch my flight.” You felt like your heart was about to burst saying it out loud.
You had spent the last two weeks in Germany with your boyfriend. It was the first time in almost three months that you and Daniel had any kind of quality time together. Daniel had taken you to his favorite places, again, and that included his restaurant, for the millionth time. It had been a blast until last night when you realized that it would be your last night with him. You had to go back home to the states for your next job. You weren’t sure when you would see him next and that made your heart ache.
Distance was cruel sometimes.
Daniel and you met in Atlanta while you were working on the set of Captain America: Civil War. You were just a crew member and your number one rule, it was a huge rule for you and you alone, was to never get involved with an actor. That was due to their busy schedules and the fact that you would most likely never see them for months at a time.
That all changed when you weren’t paying attention to where you were walking and bumped right into Daniel. His coffee had spilled everywhere on the front of his shirt and yours. You had been horrified but, luckily, for you, he wasn’t filming yet and it was just a random shirt. He brushed the whole incident off and insisted that you didn’t need to clean it.
The two of you started out as friends, talking and getting to know each other. While working on set, he’d take you out for coffee. Evans and Mackie teased you all the time about it, but the teasing never bothered you. Out of all the people you communicated with on a daily basis, Daniel was the one you talked to the most. It never seemed weird to you. You loved talking to him and talking to him made everything about your day feel better. Daniel had become a safe place for you and it didn’t take you long to realize you had feelings for the German-Spanish actor. You began to crave his presence each and every day while working on set.
It wasn’t until about a year later, after the very last scene you worked on Civil War, you guys ran into each other again. This time in London, you were working on another film and ran into him while dining at a small restaurant. The two of you hung around the restaurant until it was super late. You didn’t want to go your separate ways so you invited him back to your hotel room for a couple more drinks. It didn’t take long for things to heat up and the clothes to come off.
That was nearly four years ago.
Four years of making a relationship work with an actor, despite the number one rule you had, had years ago.
“I’ve enjoyed our time together,” You could hear the sadness creeping into Daniel's voice. He didn’t want you to leave at all either. He loved being with you because you brought out the good in him. He won’t admit it to you, but he hated the time and distance away from you. He wished that he could wake up to you every morning and fall asleep with you in his arms.
“It’s such a shame you have to go back.” His fingers traced around your bare shoulders, leaving goosebumps in their wake. “I had so much more planned.”
You took a deep breath and sat up into a sitting position. Daniel soon followed. “I wish there was more time, but I gotta get back to start this new project.”
Your job wasn't hard, but it was very demanding. You got to travel the world with well known actors, directors, stunt doubles, etc. and everything was paid for. It paid well so when you had breaks from traveling, you had a little apartment in the suburbs of your hometown that you would stay in for a month or two. It was nicely furnished and whenever you traveled, you let your brother stay there to take care of your two cats.
Daniel bit his bottom lip and sighed real deep. “I know, I know,” you spoke Daniel's unspoken thoughts before he could. “One day, there won’t be time nor distance between us.”
“I know,” Daniel whispered as he brushed hair out of your face. “Why don’t I help you pack up your things while you shower, my love.”
The rest of the time, it was silent. It always was whenever one of you had to leave. You showered while Daniel packed up your things. You contemplated staying an extra day and calling your boss about the delay. One more day couldn’t hurt. When you stepped out of the shower and got dressed, you noticed your bags sitting by the door. Your jacket, laying on top.
The two of you went around the corner to the small little coffee shop that you loved. Once the two of you ate and had a small cup of coffee, Daniel called you a taxi and helped you load up. Before you could get into the backseat, Daniel took hold of your upper arm and spun you around. Before you could even open your mouth to ask what was wrong, Daniel's lips were already pressing against yours. You sighed and melted right into his arms.
“I love you,” Daniel whispered into your ear before kissing the side of your head.
“I love you, too,” You loosened your hands and let go of the front of his shirt. When you looked up, you saw the softest smile on Daniel’s face. “I’ll call you when I land,” you stepped back and settled yourself into the taxi.
“I look forward to that.”
As the taxi pulled away, you looked behind and watched as the man of your dreams grew smaller and smaller. You hated this feeling more than anything. You hated that you had to go or that he had to go. You hated everything about your situation and arrangement.
Distance was cruel.
Distance was a bitch.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the series! I am having a lot of fun writing it, I like the framing of a public health crisis; it's not just a one-off situation, it's an ongoing problem and the fact that Steve and Dee are experiencing these symptoms is both stressful but also useful to know.
My big pitfall right now is being careful not to imply a lack of consent-- there's a path for the story that allows for the ambient pheromone release to affect Bucky... but I don't want that to be the way this works! I want the juxtaposition between an organic romance for Bucky's part of it, held up next to Steve and Dee's glorious trauma bond. So there's a lot of careful maneuvering...

Hi! I’m trying to find active SPN blogs recently bc I’m falling back in love with my boys and I was wondering if you could rec any writers/ your favorite SPN blogs? If not it’s okay!
Yay for falling for the boys! I myself have a habit of popping in and out of Tumblr for months at a time so I'm not entirely sure who is still active or not. But, here's a few things for you:
I would recommend checking out my Friday Feature, which showcases different blogs and their works and then they too recommend different blogs.
There are also several blogs that post and reblog others' works, such as @hobby27. They find and reblog ALL the fics. Excellent and supportive blog.
