What They Smell Like

Jake:

back on Earth he grew accustomed to the many scents of ongoing pollution; so one of the ways to help cover up the pungent odors was with Axe body spray

Now Na’vi he wears his natural musky scent, deeply earthy, like freshly fallen rain

He enjoys his bathing rituals on Pandora due to the rich minerals in the waters, doing wonders for the hair and skin

He smells quite fresh usually, unless busy with Olo’eyktan duties so he freshens up

His kids have no problem teasing him to tell him he stinks (even though he doesn’t. They’re just being kids)

Neytiri:

she favors the floral scents, having been apprenticing under her mother for many years now she makes her own salves, tonics, body oils and perfumes

mostly consisting of Kllpxiwll (lionberry) Paywll (an aloe like plant), and sometimes banana fruit from eating it

The scents she wears she writes down for kiri because of her interest in flora and fauna as well

Neteyam:

it’s no secret the eldest sully is well kept and put together physically, but he also takes great pride in his personal hygiene and care

usually smelling like fresh white musk, and Tumpasuk (red-orange berry) he smells sweet and earthy

learning to press oils together for his braids, he opts for the Tumpasuk as its potent serum helps to maintain a healthy scalp and shine

he and Lo’ak have seen the lab guys use human hygiene products like shampoo, cologne and soap that he sometimes see Lo’ak use

he was given some old cologne from norm that he took a liking to called “dolce& gabbana light blue” although he can’t pronounce it, it smells incredible

Lo’ak:

usually out in the forest causing trouble with spider, he’s adapted to more loose hygiene ways, until spider and him went to the lab to see all the human things that spider has to use when he goes back to the base at the end of the day

Lo’ak took a liking to one of the guys’ axe body spray but spider made him throw it out because “only douchebags wear that”

his fascination with sky people objects has him opting for more chemistry related smells like old spice

his way of smelling clean is now carrying old spice deodorant wherever he goes because he’s paranoid of stinking

Tuk:

Tuk absolutely adores her siblings and does her best to mimic them in many ways

she has taken a liking to both the healing ways of her grandmother and some of the human products

she loves the scientists who constantly give her packs of Hubba Bubba Bubblegum so she usually has a pack of it on her at all times

she smells sweet like bubblegum from her endless supply, and the Healing Rose oil Neytiri made for her to put in her growing braids and to moisturize her skin

Lo’ak has on occasion brought back a green apple scent 3 in 1 body wash she liked when they visited the lab too

Kiri:

constantly exploring the forest and learning of the healing properties from her grandmother she has mastered the art of making her own shampoos, body exfoliants, balms, and cold pressed oils

she spends much time in the grass, smelling fresh like rainfall and sweet like the flowers around her

one of her favorite plants is the Lily Pad Tree, the leaves produce a sweet smelling flower she presses into oils and perfumes, along with the citrusy smell of the Pineapple Plant

her favorite pastime is making shampoos and cold pressed oils for her friends and family as gifts

Bonus! my oc Tani:

it’s no secret the lifestyle of an aspiring hunter like herself is rigorous and action packed, but on her down time she thoroughly enjoys spending time with Kiri learning how to make the products from scratch like balms, salves and even body butters

her favorite scent is a combination of Kllpxiwll (lionberry), musk, and the spicy smelling nectar from the Txumpaywll (Scorpion Thistle) although a deadly carnivorous plant, the nectar can be harvested and used for eating and making natural perfumes, pressed oils and more

she takes pride in changing her braids every month, using handmade shampoos and oils to keep her hair and scalp healthy; usually using the Healing Rose oil Kiri and Neytiri make together for her

her favorite fruit is the banana fruit, which has a thick calcium rich skin that can be ground and mixed into a rich body butter one of her coveted products

Hello there! I'm a 20 year old (he/they) searching for long term rp partners who are preferably queer (I am trans and just generally looking for queer friends). I am in college so there might be weeks where I am a little spotty with replies, but I usually reply once a day at minimum, and I will always let you know if I cannot reply.

I am literate, and usually write 2-4 paragraphs (depending on what is happening, ie shorter paragraphs for a face-paced scene). I prefer to do rp on discord, but I am open to something new. 18+ is a must, not just for NSFW, I just don’t feel comfortable doing rp with minors. In the event of NSFW stuff, kinks and boundaries will be discussed before anything, although I am pretty open to lots of stuff. I love slowburn, enemies to lovers, and drama. I almost always play male characters, with a few exceptions, and prefer m/m, but I am willing to negotiate.

I am open to fandom stuff, or I would love to do a D&D type setting. I can do oc x oc, canon x canon, or oc x canon, although I would prefer not to be the canon character every time. You write a canon character for my oc and I will write a canon character for your oc. Also I am absolutely willing to double up for side characters and stuff.

Gonna Hunt You Down (A Colin Zabel Story) Part.3

Summary: Since they had lunch together, Hunter thinks about Colin and can't help but smile like an idiot. Because everything about this guy is so natural and sympathetic. As well as being sexy...

After a peaceful morning routin&breakfast, Hunter goes to her sister's school and finds out the "mean girls" scout of the school bullies her sister. And this makes her genuinely mad. Thankfully Colin, who is there to talk to a witness, manages to calm her down.

A/N: Hey! 👋🏼 Welcome back to this series! I really loved this Colin x Hunter duo and the chemistry between them. So here's a new episode for ya! Sorry for the delay, btw. I believe "Good things take time." is supremacy. So I have to give my 100% in everything I do. 🙈 Last but not least, I was inspired by Mare's mother when I wrote Hunter's. Cuz their cat-dog relationship was just gorgeous back in the show. 😭

"Let's do this."

Hunter cracked an egg into the pan and began to stir it, a cheerful whistle escaping her lips. Her damp wavy hair fell over her shoulders and left small wet spots on her gray T-shirt.

“Oh my... look at that little savage!” Hunter’s mother appeared at the kitchen door with a raised eyebrow.

“Is she really smiling, or am I delusional?”

"What? What smile?" Hunter vanished her dreamy smile immediately and continued. "You're delusional!"

Frankly, she was thinking about yesterday, Colin's gentlemanlike manners, sweet talks, and prominent dimples. But of course, she was never gonna say these to her mom.

"My egg was nearly burning! Don't distract me." She warned her mother and quickly picked up his scrambled eggs with a spatula, placed them on his toast, then added a few slices of avocado & some spices. And voilà! It was ready to go down to her stomach. Hunter looked proud for a moment when she made an herbal tea for herself. It was definitely a delicious breakfast food with minimum effort.

"Are you a freaking Gordon Ramsy or something now?" Her mother teased her, laughing, but it didn't even bother Hunter.

"Oh, fuck off, Martha Stewart! This recipe is fire!"

She took a huge bite of her masterpiece and yelled, her eyes shut.

"OHH, YUMMY! That Gordan Ramsy guy can kiss my ass!"

Obviously, she was joking around. She is not a good cook but loves to pretend like she is. On the other hand, her mother was happy to see that Hunter had something other than cereal, bacon, or just bread for breakfast. But...

"Honey, you're a bit extra today."

Since Hunter started the day with unusual happiness, of course, this did not go unnoticed by her mother.

"I guess... I know the secret behind this joy." Her mother laughed meaningly and leaned against the door frame, observing her. At that moment, Hunter decided not to show her any color and ate her toast silently.

Yes, she woke up in a happy mood today. Because yesterday was pretty good. After a long time, she had a tasty burger & a large-sized cola. And also, finally, she had understood by a man after ages. So, Why shouldn't she be happy now?

"Go on, tell me about it. I'm all ears."

"What? What are you talkin' about?" Hunter slurred as if she didn't understand the question. She was nervously smiling.

"Oh, really?"

Her mother sighed and briefly rolled her eyes. Cause she knew pretty well that her daughter only smiles like an idiot if she catches feelings from someone. It was that simple yet quite rare for her at the same time. Cause Hunter usually prefers one-night stands and has never been in a relationship. But now, she thought it could be possible in the near future. Who knows?

"You know damn well what I'm talking about, young lady." Her mother continued. She was so curious about it.

"I'm asking, who was that eye candy beside you the other day? I saw you on my way home. And you two looked very intimate to me. So... I wanna know every detail."

Eye candy? Intimacy? Oh, come on, ma! She thought in frustration. Dammit! Sometimes this town is so freaking smaller than it is.

"Why the surprise face? Like you don't know him? How long have you been chatting, eh?"

As her mother started to wink mischievously, "OH, GOD!! STOP IT!" Hunter shouted with embarrassment, then shoved her last big bite into her mouth to avoid talking. She didn't want her mother to talk about Colin like he was her boyfriend or something. It was pretty embarrassing. Cause they didn't even friends in the first place.

But it looks like she will continue to deliberately embarrass her daughter.

"Oh, come on now! I'm your goddamn mother! And daughters always talk about their crushes to their moms! NOW, spill the beans already!

Hunter sighed. There was no way to escape, so...

"He was just a random guy," She replied casually. And then, "Actually... He's a police officer. A detective, like Mare." she added hesitantly, couldn't be sure whether to give her that information but...

“His name is Colin. And... He just moved into our town. Recently, he looked at Ms.Lange’s case with Mare. So yeah, I saw him a couple of times.”

She was suddenly acting timid.

"And yesterday... After visiting Ms.Lange at the hospital, he wanted to grab a bite somewhere. And... since he's a newbie and I'm a local girl, I took him to Apple Pie'rre. That's all. That's the story you hyped up about."

"Was that all?"

"Yeah! What else could it be?"

She looked like she didn’t believe her daughter one bit.

"Oh, don't even try to lie to me, girl! I'm your mother and also I’m a woman of love. I can sense these things. It was a date, right? Come on! Tell me the truth." Her mother said while wiggling her brows meaningly, thinking that she gave courage to her daughter to open up. But in fact, she was only embarrassing her.

"MOM, STOP IT!! You're being delusional again." Hunter wanted to hide her face from her mom but didn't do it. Because that would mean she accepted the allegation.

"God! Why are you blushing, then? You're being suspicious."

After a short denial session, she broke her silence.

"It was not a fucking date. Okay?" When Hunter threw a severe look at her mother, she felt compelled to step back involuntarily. Because she knew her daughter didn't like being backed into a corner.

"Alright... Whatever you say, cupcake. I believe you. Just let me know when things get intense, okay?"

Hunter didn't answer; she just took a sip of that herbal tea and continued to shake his knee nervously. She still couldn't believe she had let her mother interrogate her. Yet she had never told her mother about her love life (even her life) before. Why had she told her about Colin now? She didn't understand. It was a silly sloppy move of hers.

"Oh, sweetheart! I was just teasing you but okay, let's drop this conversation before your cheeks burn. Could you please hand me my water flask?" Again, her mother teased her one last time and immediately returned to their everyday conversation.

"I'm gonna go to my yoga class with the truck. So I hope you'll find a way to attend your sister's school meeting on time."

Hunter finished half of her tea and poured the rest into the sink. It got already cold, thanks to her mom (!)

"You know, I'll be there on time. I don't miss any of her school meetings."

"Alright, then. I'm off! Take care of yourself, honey."

She took the truck's keys and headed to the front door as Hunter lazily waved after her.

"Drive safely!"

Then, when the door closed, she couldn't help but scream at the kitchen walls in embarrassment.

"GOD! IT WAS JUST A LUNCH!!"

Hunter felt superheated in a way she didn't want to feel. But that was because of the stupid, unnecessary conversation just now. It had absolutely (!) nothing to do with last night's dream of Colin holding her. Not at all.

It's all because of that weird 'dating' talk.

“As if it could happen?" She spoke to herself, pressing her cold hands to her burning cheeks to cool them down.

Yeah… It was definitely because of that. Not the dream. She thought.

Not even a little bit.

Colin was happy for no reason that morning. He had woken up early, taken a hot shower, freshly shaved his face, and had an excellent breakfast with his mom. Before leaving the house, he had forgotten his coffee thermos, but it didn't bother him this time. Not at all.

"Alright, Zabes! Duty calls you." Colin talked to himself as he parked his car in front of the local high school. He had just visited here to talk to a teacher who had witnessed a stabbing incident last night and take his statement.

"Let's talk with that teacher and see what we got." Colin took his notepad and got out of the car by saying it himself.

The weather outside was much nicer today, and the sun warmly embraced his shoulders for the first time since he arrived in this town. So Colin did not regret not wearing his coat today.

He breathed in the fresh air and walked towards the school's front gate. It was almost lunchtime, but the bell hadn't rung yet. He didn't mind because it was a good thing the corridors were empty. So he could get to the teachers' lounge quickly to find the man. And that's what exactly happened.

"So... Mr. ...?"

"Calivanger."

"Yeah, Mr.Calivanger. Didn't you say you saw one more man at the crime scene?" Colin asked. The best thing he was good at was asking questions.

"Yes, I did, but I was confused back then. Cause, you know... It was pretty dark, and I was far from the crime scene."

"Where were you?"

"Oh, I was at my home and saw them from the window. When the man stabbed and fell on the ground, my wife told me to call the police. So..."

Colin slowly nodded when he wrote down what the man said. And suddenly, he missed the days when he was solving murder cases. In his previous station...

Here was a small town, and as he observed so far, generally, cases were just actual bodily harm. They were simple cases. But Colin didn't mind anymore. Because he eventually started to like this town.

Started to like the peace and closeness, the sunsets, the people, and especially a woman...

"Okay, Mr.Calibanger. Thank you for your cooperation. I wish you a nice day."

"Uh... Thank you, detective."

As he walked out the door, an angry shout was heard.

“Bitch, shut the fuck up!”

"Miss, can you please calm down? It was not a big deal. Let me tell you the scene all over."

A couple of girls and two women were discussing something over there. And Colin wondered what's the issue.

"What is happening there?"

"Uh... I don't know, but it looks like an angry parent." Mr.Calivanger replied anxiously. “I wouldn’t want to be there.”

Troublesome parents, Colin thought as he returned his gazes to them. Jeez... What is wrong with these people? It’s class time. Shouldn't they discuss it somewhere outside the building?

"Thanks again, Mr.Cali... banger," Colin faltered but continued anyway. "I'll take a look before I leave."

"It's Calivanger, dickhead." The teacher said in frustration, but Colin was already made his way to the end of the hallway where the fight was happening.

The closer he got, the more clearly he could hear their voices. And see their visuals... Unfortunately, there was a problem, and one of the actors in the scene was Hunter.

"Oh girl, whatchu doin' there?" He mumbled and stopped to watch them from a safe distance without making any sound.

They were still fighting over an issue. But what was the issue?

"Apparently, these bitches were bullying my sister the whole time. Unbelievable!”

Hunter held her sister's shoulder protectively and kept mercilessly roasting the teacher.

“How could you shut your eyes to this, Mrs.Markle? Look at that! Look at her face!"

Colin narrowed his eyes and saw the girl's blood stainted nose and red face, damaged by small scratch marks.

Oh my... He got shocked and felt sorry for the poor girl. Apparently, there was a HUGE bullying issue. And Hunter had a right to be overprotective right now. Although he was an only child, Colin knew what it felt like to see a loved one hurt.

"We didn't do anything! She wanted to care for my cat, but as you can see, she couldn't manage." One of the cheap Britney wannabes talked semi-crying. "My poor Wandle was literally terrorized by her. So stop yelling at us! We're innocent." And add a little sob at the end of her shitty speech. That was absolutely a play. And not even well-played.

"And also, we're minors. So you're technically bullying minors! You psycho bitch!"

Oh, girl... Colin thought, still watching the scene silently in the back. They're basically testing her patient.

"Oh fucking..." Hunter sighed and took a deep breath while she tried to keep her sanity. She looked so done at the moment.

"Okay, then explain the punch."

"What punch?" One of them asked while chewing her gum like she knew nothing about it.

"I'm talking about the punch your lousy cat threw at my sister!"

The girls thought for a moment, and one of them, the blonde one, broke the silence:

"Cats can't throw punches, silly."

"OH, MY GOD!! I'mma chop your empty head off!" Hunter yelled in rage and tried to walk up to them, but the school bell rang, and all the students started to run for their freedom. That way, Hunter's movement was interrupted.

"Please, calm down. I'm begging you. Let's talk about this in my office." The teacher suggested, but Hunter didn't even move an inch where she stood. She sure would turn those bitches 'slap maniacs' if they weren't at the school and were of legal age. Even Colin could assume that.

"Enough. Please, let's go. You're embarrassing me." Her sister begged her silently, but Hunter didn't reply or move. Instead, she stood there with her arms folded tightly across her chest, like a rock in a raging river. It was such an impressive pose that Colin could not take his eyes off her for a moment.

When the students vacated the hallway in seconds, the group was still there, and Hunter was ready to continue to fight as before.

"Just admit your quilt already, girls," Hunter suggested calmly. "I promise I won't hurt your pretty nails."

None of them spoke.

"We didn't do anything. Right, Lilly? Tell her." The redhead broke silence this time. It was clear from the timbre of her voice that they were putting pressure on Lilly.

"Y-Yeah, it's true. They didn't do anything to me. I just fell from a tree when I tried to save Wandle. Now, please, let's go. I'm hurt."

Hunter listened to her sister carefully and then -never wanted to but- decided to let it go. But of course, from now on, she would keep an eye on these three bully.

God... How long have they been using my sister like this? She thought in frustration. Why didn't I realize sooner? Also, they were only sixteen-seventeen. How can they be so cruel?

"Okay, Lily. I believe you. But if I see you like this again..."

Hunter threw dead glares at those three and continued, "I swear to God, I do what I gotta do."

The girls trembled with fear, knowing what Hunter was capable of, but they held their heads high and approved her. And Hunter's tantrum safely ended there.

"Good."

When the teacher and the girls almost ran away, Hunter hushed for a while. She was still taking deep breaths, trying to control the beast inside her.

"I'm sorry, Abe." Lilly's trembling voice was heard.

"Please don't tell Mom. I know I should've more-"

"Shut up, Lilly!" Hunter interrupted her, shouting. "Just shut your fucking mouth full of lies and go wait outside. I'll talk to you later at home when I calm down."

Lily didn't talk back. Instead, she just clenched her teeth and did what she was told. Her hair, blonde unlike her sister's, resembled a bird's nest from behind.

"Oh, God..."

As she left, Hunter sighed and stayed still for a few minutes. Then she turned around and found Colin right before her. The moment when she needed him the most... he was right there.

"Detective? Hi... What are you doing here?"

She realized her voice sounded fragile and weak but could do nothing.

"I... I just came to talk to a teacher about a case. But I gotta tell you, I didn't expect to see you."

"Yeah, me too."

As Colin watched her uncomfortable little moves, she averted her slightly full eyes. It was embarrassing for her to show her feelings to him again.

He's gonna think that I'm weak. She thought. But it was unnecessary thinking. Cause he hadn't changed his thoughts about her. She was still the strongest to him. Inside and outside.

"I wish it was a beautiful coincidence, but... I must say, though. You are a good sister."

"What?" Hunter blinked a few times in surprise and wondered, has he been watching them this whole time?

"I mean... It was bold of you to take on four people to protect your sister. And you handled it very well for a person with anger issues."

Colin wanted to cheer her up. Cause the tension and sadness around her were heavy that he could sense it.

"I'm not gonna lie. At first, I thought you would end up at the police station again, but you surprised me."

"I surprised myself too..." She giggled numbly.

"I'm sure you heard it often, but your sister doesn't look like you at all."

"Physically, right? Yeah." Hunter replied shortly. Her mind was a mess. She wanted to flee and find a hole to bury her miserable head like a fucking ostrich.

"She looked so angry when she left. Will she be okay? Not gonna check her?"

"Nah..." Hunter was so upset for scolding her, but what was done was done. "I... I don't think she wants to see me for a while."

"Why is that?" Colin asked like he didn't know the reason (like he didn't watch the whole scene). Basically, he did it to get her to talk. And it worked.

"I got mad at a couple of... girls." Hunter breathed to calm a little. "And I snapped at her, broke her heart badly. Well... I'm a hothead. Most of the time, I react without thinking and always regret things I did afterward. And I messed up this time too."

Colin was listening intently, trying to make sense of her every move. Hunter was a bit complicated woman.

"I guess... I wanted her to be tough like me at some point. I wanted her to be strong, confident, and even shady. That's why I'm outraged to see her beaten up by a bunch of Britney Spears wannabes."

Colin nodded to show that he understood her.

"I was very different from my sister in high school. Some said I was a bully too… but that's not the point."

No, that's the point. She thought. She was totally screwed up on this.

"I just... You know... I just wanted her to be strong. That's all."

She wanted to smile a little, but the lump in her throat didn't let her. Cause... Even if she's here for Lilly, her bad high school memories and triggered things were suffocating her again. And no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape. It was just too much for her, and just in seconds, tears gathered in her eyes and blurred her sight.

"Can I..."

When she held up her arms a little, Colin understood the assignment, quickly pulled her into his arms, and hugged her tightly. It was her relief moment cause the hug was precisely the same hug she had dreamed of.

So close, tight, warm, and full of intimacy...

"It's okay..." He whispered in her left ear with a low, reassuring voice. "It's okay to break your character sometimes."

Hunter felt safe when he patted her softly on the back.

"You've been trying to stay strong for a long time, right?"

As Hunter nodded, her tears fell on Colin's shoulder silently. She couldn't even remember the last time she had cried. It was a long ass time ago.

"Shhh... It's okay. I understand what you feel."

She couldn't help but let out a sigh. His low voice was just... so calming and soothing.

Ah... What has this man done to me? She thought.

How could he make me feel so good? With just a hug...

Hunter concluded that hugging was better than any migraine medicine.

"It felt so good."

She then responded to his hug with a pat on his back and gently whispered into his ear:

“Thank you.”

How do you guys choose character traits? There is this trick I learned when creating OCs and NPCs, especially for mini Elder Scrolls projects back in my role playing days.

There is this site that has a looong list of neutral, positive, and negative traits.

And hear me out; now you have to choose 3-5 each. You know our tendency to pick either good traits, or go nihilistic and pick bad traits? Now we're forced to balance it out.

I personally like having a sheet like this in front of me when writing, analyze the situations, and then write proper reactions.

Think that would work for NPCs? I just got back to writing fics, so I'd wager any character written could fit within these 600+ traits brackets, one way or another.

Here's what I have for Lily, by the way. I like to pick them out, and when I have a list down, I start to think. Why does she have those traits? What's making her act that way? You know what I mean?

Give it a shot, it's nice creative work to enrich your character beyond a sheet.

POSITIVE

Curious - it usually kills the cat, but what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. So I feel like curiosity paired with being cautious, gains you knowledge to tackle multi-faceted problems. Curiosity is also a natural trait for scientists; and being a nerd runs in her blood a few generations deep.

Genuine - I feel like with all her flaws, she does try to make things right, even if it's not easy for her to form emotional connections. But I'd wager she treasures the few bonds she has, and true comrades are as rare and as precious as pure gold that she wants to take care of.

Freethinking - That being said, she can be a law-abiding citizen, but she gets restless when they conflict with her needs, wants, desires. She prefers to have her own mindset, and while she can respect and even claim certain points of view, she can't fully adhere to them. Example; she understands the wariness the Church of Light has against relics, especially weapons. But she could never fully agree with them, because the weapons are keeping her alive against mutants. So she could never become an acolyte, she could never support or obey them, but her respect is all they get.

Precise - Even with all her anger, she doesn't charge head on in a battle. She knows when and where to strike, and when to sit back and think about possibilities. The ability to make split-second decisions would have most likely been earned during her Time at the Peripheries, where each second could mean life or death. Fight or flight? Help or ditch? Dig or move on? Friendly or foe? Being cautious and not wasting bullets made out of materials that are scarce means life or death.

Scrupulous - Professionals have standards. She might have robbed a caravan or two out of necessity, but never out of greed. Putting heavily injured people and critters out of their misery was more of an act of mercy, but mere civilians weren't really targets of hers.

NEUTRAL

Ambitious - Self explanatory. Either as a bounty hunter, to apprehend criminals as a Civil Corps officer, or with her own projects, she has the drive force to fulfill her tasks, no matter what. Everything is taken as a personal challenge, and she'll be damned before she fails.

Proud - Ties in with her ambition. She did not spend her entire youth fighting monsters and bandits to not take any pride in her abilities she spent years honing. Or all the knowledge she has gathered and put to good use. Her pride can be both a bad or a good thing and have different ramifications.

Stubborn - Pride can lead to a very stubborn behavior, I guess. On one hand, she's firm in her beliefs, and will budge to nothing and one one. On the other hand, she can be blind to aspects and facets she's unaware of, so that's bad. Makes sense why it's a neutral trait.

Outspoken - She likes to speak her mind, and sometimes lacks a filter. It could be due to the lack of care about what everyone thinks or says, and sometimes it can be a good thing. People can appreciate honesty over deceit. But it can have negative impact if while truthful, she hurts others around her.

Dreamy - While not an airhead, she can be caught daydreaming, cloud-watching, or stargazing, in the very few moments she feels safe and not in her constant flight-or-fight mode. Her musing and pondering can lead her to meditate, and sometimes find out-of-the-box solutions to problems. It's also a simple mechanism in which she disconnects to all the problems around her, to give her a moment of peace and quiet.

NEGATIVE

Hotheaded - Her anger is a predominant trait. She rages, she gets easily riled up, she gets furious. It's a serious flaw that damages her relationships with people around. It's not an 'uwu quirky' thing, I feel like it's something she must learn to control and become a better person, because what's a story where all characters stay the exact same from the beginning to the end?

Greedy - Might be fueled by her profession as a bounty hunter. She would get her hands on gols she has never ever dreamed of having, in the Peripheries, barely scraping by to trade with caravans. She has also resorted to not-so-moral methods of getting necessities - much less luxuries, so being faced with contracts and wanted posters that would warrant her never going hungry again...

Insensitive - The negative side effect of her being outspoken. She can be completely insensitive to others' reactions to what she's saying, her beliefs, and their concern is not her problem. It's an obvious flaw. She's not used to saying stuff like 'I'm sorry', 'It's my fault'. It took her a long while spent with Portians to learn the basics of accountability.

Vindictive - She has a good memory, and a temper to match. She never forgets a face, and a weakness to exploit, when the situation arises. She knows how to hurt someone, if said person double-crossed her, stabbed her in the back, or snitched on her. "Snitches get stitches", she always says.

Crafty - She's a crafty bitch; she tools, she schemes, and has fallen out with the Portian Civil Corps and the Church mostly because of her unorthodox fighting methods. She exploits weaknesses, there is no honor but survival, and most likely has abused her position as an Officer on more than one occasion.

But also for writing for Florian x Reader, I don't think I can't. But I'm trying! But I have to make another account for this, due my main account is literally idv oc ask blog. But, I'm more of a "giving ideas for character name x Reader"! making rambles and small things about (insane) silly character!

FLORIAN RAMBLE HERE:

I like power play as well here! I do think Florian is in the higher rank in the Fire Investigator Industry, Being senior in the industry due it was mentioned the amount of fire he caught are very impressive. Which means, he caught fire many times. But his S/O being newbie in the industry. I think it depends on if His S/O is his long lost (I will ramble about that later!) Best friend or childhood best friend, or newbie he will soon be obsessed

But the fanarts I see of him, interpreting who he is. I did see one fan art of him being golden retriever (probably because of his hair, but we don't know yet!), and other one of him being bored or different expression that is like negative. Even more fanarts of him being happy and silly! Like I said in my first ramble, he is silly character (that's fucked up), that acts so silly!

In opinion how he acts with Newbie! S/O, he would act like golden retriever. Always following S/O around, even though he's supposed to do his literal job, but he excuse himself by saying that he's taking a "break"! (Lying ass), becomes sadden whenever his S/O has to go to do their jobs. Which means, Florian would try to convince S/O to stay with him for awhile (Translate: abusing power here), but if His S/O refuse, he would start guilt tripping them, or more like this

"You know my dear butterfly, if you keep refusing. Remember, I'm the senior." Florian once cheerful and convincing expression of face quickly changed, turning into blank look. His eyes that were once full of light and excitement, the eyes that is always eager to help people, especially being with you. Is gone, as if it was hidden mask, while his gloved hands becomes firms on your cheeks, looking down at you. As if daring you to question his authority.

Probably that will shut up S/O, BUT I'M BELIEVER OF FLORIAN CALLING HIS S/O "butterfly", BUT I DON'T KNOW IF HE WILL CALL HIS S/O BY FIRE RELATED NICKNMANES ACTUALLY! Before turning back into happy and puppy-like if S/O gives in

AND ALSO, I do think he would use his power, scaring off any newbies or upper ranks of the Fire Investigator Industry. Oh? Nobody wants to partner up with you during lessons? No worries butterfly! Florian is here! After all, you need him right?... Right?

Like I said, he's probably like golden retriever. Acting like one whenever he's around with people, but becomes more with his S/O. But I also do see him turning into scary dog/not-so-goldeb-retriever with anybody he deemed a threat to him (and S/O also!) . Straight up glaring at that someone, before turning back to normal if his S/O comes back

During in/the Manor: I do think it's the same thing, but more overprotective. Yes, he acts friendly with everyone. Like Lily! But will glare at anybody who tries to talk to his butterfly, (more like threatening to take off their eyes, without hesitation) plus, I believe he would be the one (and only, even the first) to rescue S/O, but takes advantage of his abilities (IT'S LITERALLY SPRAYING WATER, BUT I THINK HE WILL MAKE MORE POWERFUL..), hunting down the hunter down without mercy

After all! They were the one who hurt his butterfly, he may be sadistic. But he's the only one who is allowed to act like that with his butterfly! No one else!

I can see him also like... Growling (like a literal dog) or his once cheerful and (obsessed) loving look quickly drop if anybody wants to heal you or is healing you when he's about to. Nobody is allowed to touch his butterfly

LOOK, I'M VERY CURIOUS ABOUT HIS EYE THAT IS BANDAGED, SO HERE'S MY RAMBLE ABOUT IT: I'm firm believer that Florian ONLY let his loved one, and also his S/O, take it off and let him see his missing eye/or healed burned eye (we don't know if he take off his eye or it was burned by the fire his parents die OR where he was rescuing the children!), while smilling lovingly at them and dork way as well. While his S/O worships him/changing his bandages (he will keep using that as excuse)

ITHAQUA RAMBLE: (IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ THIS, IT'S FINE. DUE I'M NOT MAKING SENSE HERE..)

Listen, listen here, I'm very much in love (MORE LIKE OBSESSED) with your ithaqua fics! Very chef kiss. Good description of him as well! I do believe he would act like that due of his... Well, isolation and his mother sanity being gone

BUT IMAGINE IF HIS S/O HAVE HIS MOTHER HAIR COLOUR, LIKE RED HEAD...

HAVE YOU SEEN FIONA? AND GRACE NEW S (or A tier, I don't remember) COSTUME. BOTH OF THEM HAVE LITERALLY RED HAIR COLORED.. I WAS LIKE "I bet Ithaqua would have break down.." MAN THAT BOI IS GOING THROUGH STUFF...

This is my opinion about this! Cause I never seen anybody or Even someone talking about this, but I didn't want to talk bout it. Because I don't want to be accused of, like "So wait you're literally shipping him with someone that have his mother appearance?" NO, I MEANT THE HAIR COLOUR, NOT THE WHOLE APPEARANCE. ONLY THE HAIR (and probably the mother figure vibes, if you want add in the pain and insanity this man is going through right now)

But back what I'm saying! I think S/O would be a survivor, as Ithaqua saw them. He would be surprised but is hidden because of his mask, before wondering if that is mother who comes back. But realize it's just S/O, before continues hunting them down.

But I do think I see him not wanting too, due S/O acts like mother figure to every survivor and hunters (Especially hunter that are children), letting them go and being the last survivor to escape. Which it's quite a surprise, but I do also see him hunting them down for a bit before leaving them to do the decoding the cipher

Plus, him being a literal a owl (or stalking deer, I don't know, he gives me that type of vibes), he would stalk S/O everywhere. Making sure they're safe, scaring them sometimes

(I'M SORRY IF THIS IS TOO OCC, I THINK THIS IS HOW HE WOULD ACT WITH HIS S/O THAT HAVE HIS MOTHER HAIR COLOUR)

LUCA RAMBLE: (MY BABYGIRL :3)

I may or may not got into IDV, even playing the game, because of this man. HE'S SO GOOFY, AND THE FACT HE'S LITERALLY ONE OF MY KINNIES, I always love reading fics of him. Plus, I'm planning to do cosplay of him later, but... Gonna buy some costume of him..

BUT BACK TO MY RAMBLE: imagine if his S/O is his fiance/lover/wife, before he lost his memories and becomes prisoner. I do see him being very loving to his lover, even affectionate with them as well. Which may or may not cause him to get distract from his lessons with Alva, always getting scolded by him

But... Good moments and Memories don't stay for too long, hm?

After Luca got into the "accident", even losing his memories. I do see him being confused at the mention of his fiance, as his S/O tries to make him remember them during their visit as they wondered why he "kills" his teacher, But, he's lost case as he would think of them as stranger, or a friend exactly

During the manor: If his S/O found out about their lover going to The manor, I do see them going too to find their lover. But if his S/O got the letter too, it would be the same thing!

But due of Luca well... Brain not so being function, I think he would remember S/O due of their past frequent visits back then in the prison or not, due of how he's brain is working. I do also see them slowly getting along like they used to, before they got married. It was innocent and nice, but hurtful if S/O is still hurt by Luca not remembering them

But slowly, Luca would be possessive. Pushing anybody or quickly excusing his S/O, so that he could "show" his new inventions! Look! Cool right? Just ignore that buggy person. They're probably not intelligent like him

Plus, I do also seem him taking advantage of him pretending to be S/O lover, like he did lose his memories but if he saw anybody (god forbid, any survivors), getting TOO close to his S/O. He would step up and say

"Excuse me! My lovebug will talk to you later! Bye bye!" As Luca grabbed your hand, before you even about to excuse yourself! But as you were about to scold him for interrupting such a conversation with you and the new survivor, he gives you puppy eyes... Oh, what are you going to do with him?

YES I BELIEVE THIS MAN USE PUPPY EYES TO USE ON S/O, but this is my personal opinion!

HUNTER! NATHANIEL RAMBLE:

DAMN I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS (dead) BROTHER OF MAN I PROMISE TO BE DEVOTED TOO, WOULD HOOK ME UP LIKE FISH ON HANGER. I'M ON MY KNEES WITH THIS MAN..

Actually ngl though, whenever I read some about him In your blog. I would sometimes wonder what would happend if S/O got Hunter! Nathaniel infatuated (He's in denieal right now) AND ITHAQUA GOT AS WELL. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE WILLING TO SHARE..

Due of how Nathaniel did to Ithaqua and his mother as well, even how Ithawua interpreted their relationship with one of another. So, being animals they are, they WON'T even share. Plus, I do see both of them keep marking on S/O many times, especially during matches..

During matches, GOOD LORD FORBID IN DUO MATCHES. IF THESE TWO ARE PARTNER UP... There are going to be some.. Shaboinky going around, probably in the basement and S/O being overwhelmed (and overstimulated), by these two. All of those survivors better be glad that S/O is good distraction..

I also do see them taking turns, getting more possessive as one take turns. But also, one of them becoming sadistic. But I also see them fighting over S/O while S/O is too overstimulated..

//Finally i colored this pic and made the backstory for my OC in my Medieval AU version of her, mostly how her life will be at the Quest For Camelot movie, this was inspired on the lot for a rp I’m doing with @spxcemuses, where Sir Ruber is the muse that is going to be use. The Curse of Oenone (Leo Valdez xFem!Oc)

XXIX: Emotionally Repressed by Day, Socially Inept by Night

Leo makes a beeline to the control panels and sets the Archimedes sphere back in place. Ara hangs her Octopi over one shoulder and makes her way to the stairs, but then she spots Nico.

He's usually at the top mast or in Hazel's room until it's time for bed and he leaves to... wherever he sleeps. But he's leaning against the stern's handrail today, looking right at her. Ara lets out a heavy sigh, he wants to talk to her, and it won't be fun.

"What?" She asks.

Nico eyes her before replying. "You got your stuff back?"

Ara leans on the railing and stares at the sea. "You ate?"

"Yeah, the birthday cake they made for you," he replies sarcastically. "I thought you'd died so I didn't want to waste it."

Ara lowers her gaze. "Did you tell them?"

Nico snorts. "I thought you would've told them all about you by now, that's how it always is with you."

She makes a face. "Some of it, not all. But Leo knows it all. He was always asking for stories and Jason had no memories, so I had to give him context."

Nico looks at her with a sarcastic smirk she's grown to loathe. "Bet it felt good to be someone's hero at last."

"Can we not do this today?" Ara groans. "Tomorrow we can do the whole thing all over but... it's the worst birthday of my life, man. I'm already going through it. Can't you enjoy in silence?"

That seems to bother Nico. "I take no pleasure in seeing you suffer, Ara. It annoys me that you try so hard to be something you're not."

"What are you talking about?"

"You can be who you are unapologetically and for some reason, you prefer to walk around in that stupid cloak, completely unlike you, and it makes you miserable—"

"The cloak gives me purpose—"

"Nemesis talked to you, right? Hazel said you never told them who you saw, so who was it?"

She hates having to look up when talking to Nico, he's a year younger than her and yet he could get half the things she's gained way easier. He could be happy, and he could've been the friend Lily needed when Ara failed her. Now both of them left their friend alone, standing on the remains of their broken promises.

"That is none of your business," she says tensely.

Nico's gaze is unwavering. "I talked to Achilles before taking Percy, and what he said—"

"Let me guess," Ara tilts her head, an ironic smile on her lips. "Something about ambition being our worst enemy or whatever? You're too late, Hercules already warned me about it."

The boy frowns. "I can't believe you chose to follow their path. Every win they got sent innocent people to their early graves."

Ara's heart stings at his comment. "Don't talk about them like that."

"I'm talking about you, you should know better," he glares at her. "You saw Percy take risks for nothing, you saw Mike die thanks to it. Beckendorf, and Bianca—" He cuts his speech short, turning away, then clears his throat forcefully. "You and Lily treat your birthdays like they don't matter, and all I can think is... she can't even have that."

He lets out a dry laugh and shakes his head.

"'Course—she joined the hunters before dying, so she would still be twelve years old no matter what." Nico runs a hand over his face and squeezes his eyes shut. "She wasn't allowed to grow old, but you are, and don't want to."

It would be easier to stab his soft spots until he shows his fangs again, but she can't bring herself to do it. Ara's lost her brother, Annabeth, and Leo is next. She's tired of the fights.

Ara moves slowly to make sure he knows what she's doing, giving him the chance to step back. He doesn't. The boy takes a shaky breath, keeps his eyes closed, and lets Ara absorb some of his hurt. As soon as she does, her heart squeezes in a way that takes the air out of her lungs, she tries to talk, but her throat is tight with grief.

Nico relaxes only enough to keep talking. "I know it sounds... cruel... but I'm glad she's not with them. I prefer missing her than resenting her my entire life."

"I regret not convincing her to stay," Ara admits hoarsely. "We were the same age, but Bianca was braver. If I'd taken my lessons seriously since the start, I could've shown her what camp could offer us..."

"Us?" He opens his reddened eyes, still scowling at her.

"Orphan kids." She looks down in shame. "I wasn't a hero, Nico, you're right. I chose what was best for me. I'm sorry."

It's the first time she apologizes to Nico. It might be the grief she's absorbed, but Ara couldn't phantom the extent of Nico's pain until now, it feels just like when she lost Mike. She never showed regret, if anything, she'd made it clear that she thought nothing of Bianca. Now her words are coming out like they had been lying there for ages, rotting her core.

The way Nico reacted when Percy told him about Bianca, now that he and Annabeth are in Tartarus, she understands it. He's the only person on this ship who shares her anger and doesn't treat it like a scary thing.

The girl cleans her nose with the back of her sleeve. "I shouldn't say it now that I have their blessing, but I hated them for a while too. When Jason came and Thalia found him I realized it was you and Bianca all over again. My fate is to watch everything fall apart."

Nico stares at her, sighs tiredly, and dries her tears, his knuckles are cold against her skin but surprisingly gentle, which makes her feel even guiltier for all the times that she's punched his face. For the first time, he looks worried for her.

"It's okay if you don't want cake," he says. "But you should eat. The Kerkopes handed your ass to you."

Ara sniffs again. "I'm taking this conversation as you wishing me a happy birthday, so I'll say 'What the Tartarus you mean by 'happy', you jerk? Read the room', then I'll walk away and you can insult me and we can pretend this didn't happen."

"Tu sei sciocca."

Someone clears their throat in front of them and Ara looks back, spotting Leo. He's looking at them weirdly. Ara realizes she's holding Nico's hand. "You had issues putting the sphere back in place?" She asks, letting go of the boy.

Leo glances at Nico before replying. "Came to ask if we should hold a meeting now or wait until tomorrow."

It's not like she's enjoying her birthday, but she's not in the mood to hold a second meeting today. "Let's call it a day. I'm tired."

Leo nods, unable to shrug off the jealousy. "Yeah, I'm tired too."

Nico walks past them. "I'll take the night watch."

"Thank you," Ara says kindly. Her boyfriend frowns at their behavior but says nothing.

Leo comes to her cabin before sundown, and Ara makes room for him to sit. The boy enters reluctantly, like he'd rather be somewhere else.

"What you saw," she starts right away. "It's nothing."

Leo pulls out screws and wires from his belt and braids them to avoid her eyes. "Looked like something..."

"I can explain it," Ara pouts.

"Forget it," When he smiles it looks genuine, but the girl knows it's not real. "Came to give you a present."

"Oh?" She blinks. "You didn't have to..."

"You thought I'd let the day pass by?" The boy raises a brow. "I'm better than that!"

"Well, it was a busy day," Ara chuckles. "What is it?"

"I'm new to this whole getting-presents-for-my-girlfriend thing, and you're not easy—you don't have hobbies outside pretending to watch movies with me," he teases her.

The girl tilts her head with amusement. "So?"

"So... I'm a mechanic and an inventor. I could build you the weapon of your dreams," he makes a face. "Then I realized Almighty is pretty much it—I was going through my options and it wasn't looking great..." Leo rambles.

"I don't care for presents," she admits. "I spend all my birthdays in camp, so it's more like a day to do whatever I want—"

"I know," he interrupts her. "I know you're all about practicality and utility."

He pulls an item out of his tool belt: a black hair tie. It's decorated with a bronze dove, the wings spread open like it's either taking flight or landing. Leo holds her hand and places it around her wrist.

"Then I thought, Ara is always losing her scrunchies, her hair is always on her face while we're fixing stuff—and I know it drives you crazy. So I made you this."

He presses on the dove's breast and moves back when it expands, creating a large shield with an Omega engraved at the front. Ara turns her arm to examine it, her mouth falling open. "What!"

"Hercules and Achilles had stuff made for them. You needed a shield," he says, fidgeting with scraps from his belt as he waits for a full reaction. "I know your compass turns into a shield but if you needed to also use it as a sword you'd be... though you aren't helpless and also have Lily's dagger but..."

While Leo rambles, Ara turns her arm and spots a bronze buckle on the leather strap. She snaps it open and the shield goes back to being a hair tie. The girl throws her arms around his neck. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Leo stops talking and laughs, vividly glowing. It's like the setting sun is shining directly on him through the porthole window. His arms wrap around her waist. "Don't mention it."

Ara cups his face, a bunch of annoying butterflies making her mind fuzzy. "It must've taken you ages, I don't know what to say..."

He smirks. "Took me like a month, it wasn't that hard—but if you insist I wouldn't mind a few kisses if you're that grateful."

Ara kisses his face and neck effusively, making him giggle like a little kid, then she finds his lips and Leo makes a vastly different noise at the contact. This day doesn't seem so bad now.

"Y'know..." he mumbles in between kisses. "If you really feel like thanking me, you can give me my present in advance?" He pulls her close, and Ara blushes down to her neck.

"What?" She squeaks.

Leo laughs. "I'm just messing with you."

"Don't joke like that!" She tries to escape his grip.

Ara leans down and gives him a butterfly kiss, making him squirm a little bit. He's always been a big fan of small affectionate gestures, of any affectionate gesture, as long as it's Ara doing it. She pushes herself up and smiles. "También te amo. Now get out of my cabin."

Leo's eyes brighten. "No! Let me—let me hear you say that again!" He begs while Ara gets to the door. "Sunshine, let me stay over! It's your birthday!"

"Yeah, exactly. I want to sleep alone. Your birthday is in two days, if you want to sleep with me then, I'll comply."

Leo looks at her with a huge smile. "For real?"

"Well, I'm learning Spanish, which must mean I don't joke about commitment," Ara gestures at the exit again. "Now leave me alone."

"You're so rude," Leo says, though he sounds delighted. "I'll respect your autonomy today, but on my birthday, I'll have none of that. Be ready to have a Leo Valdez all over you on the 7th!"

The boy kisses her cheek effusively when he walks past, and Ara leans into it laughing. "The warning should go to the rest of our poor crew, not me."

"I don't love them enough to warn them."

she is, but not just for that. G has molested multiple children. by all accounts, she manipulated a child into giving consent to something only an adult would fully understand the ramifications for. then went on to have some very weird romantic tension with that child when she grew up into an adult. and then went to metaphorically molest another child.

G is a groomer and a pedophile molester. i thought that kind of people deserve death sentence, LO? what happened with that "anti-pedophile" stance you had going before? i thought the most important thing ever was the safety of children and kill any person that ever tried to harm them. G did, two times, so she deserves the same thing, right? shouldn't you be glad that someone took your words to heart and finally did what you should have the very moment you decided to write Violate? but of course, LO does not want G to be viewed as the bad guy. she wants her to molest children without ever being called out for it. because then she'll have to face the fact that she is a bad guy for molesting children and she can't do that. just in general... LO, you fantasized about killing Lizzy. a real human being. unlike that person who is talking about a badly written pokemon you made. if we're talking about concerning behaviour, i worry a lot more about someone bringing an ex that broke up with them years ago just to talk about how they want to hurt them than someone just writing more pokemon fanfiction.

Yes, there are a lot of David Tennant characters. I don't want to write for the actor himself, I just feel a little creepy doing that. In my numerous Steve Harrington fics, the more recent ones (The OC is always Dustin's older sister, except in one) I think he is the best Doctor and I think he should officially be titled as the biggest Doctor Who Fan ever. (He became an actor because of Doctor Who, he says he thinks he underplays how much he loved Doctor Who, he became the first regenerated Doctor and the first one to last more than one season on the revived Doctor Who, he met his future father-in-law, like a year before he met his wife, Ty Tennant, Georgia's oldest son and David's now adopted son, in 2008, considered the Tenth to be his favorite, and hilariously, his grandfather was nowhere on the five-year-old's list--then David Tennant met Georgia (at the time) Moffat on the set of Doctor Who as she, the daughter of the Fifth Doctor, played the daughter of the Tenth Doctor, I heard that David Tennant met Ty on the set, and according the Peter Davidson, Georgia didn't even realize that he liked her when they started going out (apparently he was offended when she said she hadn't seen any Shakespeare), then David Tennant counts as the unofficial twelfth regeneration (there was the War Doctor who the Doctors deem as not worthy of having the name of the Doctor), then he adopted Ty Tennant and married Georgia; he returned for the 50th and 60th anniversary (and I hope he never stops returning), now is the Fourteenth Doctor, that's three official regenerations, and Good Omens is full of Doctor Who references. I don't think anyone can beat him for the biggest Doctor Who fan. His life like revolves around Doctor Who in a way that every fanboy/fangirl dreams of.

I have created an OC to be the Henderson!OC and Dustin's father and I always choose David Tennant, he just really gives off protective I-will-kill-anyone-who-hurts-you dad vibe and I have a soft spot for an overprotective dad for his daughter (I never had that. My dad wanted a boy--granted the disapproval that's implied is possibly because my mom told me this--and he is ADHD and was always sleeping and then he moved two towns over which was an hour's drive but seemed longer in my ADHD mind but so he could sleep and I could play video games on the Xbox that's memory wouldn't save the game so I continuously had to start over. Oh, and also, there's the fact that a TV fell on me when I was five/six because I didn't understand gravity and I locked myself in the dryer when I was seven/eight. What, is that not normal? 🙄) I'm not a big crier but a father that's willing to do anything for his daughter is your best bet. Sorry for this rant.

*(Can't pinpoint what house Alec Hardy and therefore Emmet Carver would be in, the only blog I've found on it, discussed how he may be a burnt Hufflepuff (just google it, it'll send you to the tumble immediately) but hiscusses his desperation in season two suggests Gryffindor, also implying his ignoring of his heart condition but he's aware that he has it, so he's gone to the hospital and he takes pills, he's just aware that the doctors told him that he may not survive his surgery to have the pacemaker put in and he feels like he owes it to the families to get the closure they deserve, so it doesn't strike me as impulsive but more dedicated, determined, and "unafraid of toil". Then the blog argues that his need to protect people he views as in his care and how he related to the Sandbrooke case as Slytherin but I don't see that. I think perhaps a "Burned Hufflepuff" is accurate.*
