How do you deal with being queer in a religious household?

this been sitting in my inbox for a while and ive been tryna figure out how to answer it. ☹️fortunately for me, my parents don’t really care abt my orientation, nor are they heavily religious, so they’re pretty accepting. so it was kinda hard for me to answer this but i hope this is okay!!

but! if you know how to safely (huge emphasis on safely) traverse online spaces and communities, use them to ur advantage! it can feel really isolating being queer in a religious household. i’ve found lifelong friends on online communities, ppl i’ve been tight w since middle school! it’s kinda intimidating at first, but just try to involve yourself with online communities that align with your interests! this helps you feel less alone and it also gives you people with similar experiences :3

as for ur parents…it rlly depends on how religious they are. if they’re super conservative then i wouldn’t recommend even mentioning it to them. don’t ever put urself in a compromising situation. if they truly do love you, then you should be safe. now if they’re not rlly conservative, then you should try and sit them down (whenever ur ready!) and explain how you feel. they might challenge you, so have ur stuff written down or something. just be prepared for questions n shit. don’t EVER feel forced to come out, always do this on your own terms. and before you do any of this, always make sure you have a back up. like a friend or other family member you could possibly stay w in instance that your parents react unkindly. unfortunately, shit like this does happen ☹️

if ur trans!: this one is a little more tricky. if you suffer from dysphoria, then you’re gonna want to do everything you can to pass. if you wanna change ur name, try to change it to something that’s close to ur birthname! so if ur parents question you abt it you can just say “oh it’s a nickname lol”. if you need supplies to pass (IE: binders, packers, boxers, etc.) then dm me!! i have a bunch of free/affordable trans youth resources and i’ll be happy to share them!! as for going on hormones, that’s definitely something ur gonna have to sit ur parents down for (unless ur 18+..depending on the laws in ur area).

also you should keep a journal of some kind. whether that be ur notes app, a diary, voice memos, something! don’t bottle everything up! and on that note, make sure you have a TRUSTED friend to confide in. that could be irl or online! having an ear to listen really does help!

I wanna say a big thank you to you, Ava/Orion and Dee. I had a tough upbringing involving abuse and I really didn't have the space to express myself openly or state my preferences. It was hard for me to openly like or dislike something and explain why due to my environment and friends without fearing physical repercussions or anxiety.

Now that I'm a bit safer and not surrounded by those people, it's really scary to me now that i can explore my preferences, why i like/dislike something and so forth. I'm still struggling with not forcing myself to watch or read something I don't like. It's like you said, fanon can be loud and wrong. There's nothing with preferences, but for me, it's always felt like there was.

I'm not ready just yet to openly engage with fandom spaces, but your blogs have been helpful in me feeling safe. I really like how all of you openly talk about why you like or dislike something as well as your focus on characterization, plot, relationships and in general your approach to both the fandom you belong. I'm going to work in small steps but I hope I can eventually also openly talk with you ❤💜

It's a difficult journey to undertake especially when you have so much experience of it not being a thing you can safely do, but I promise that it's very rewarding at the end of the road. I completely understand. Especially here, since MDZS can be a bit volatile at times. It's hard to own your opinions out in the open when there are people that can be so cruel at times and I don't blame the people who aren't ready or willing to do that. There is no shame in taking the best road for yourself.

christian girls & pornography

Ever since I posted a Tik Tok video with the same title as this post, my inbox has been flooded with girls and grown women who struggle with the same temptation that I have.

It might be pretty jarring to come across a Christian girl talking about her struggle with pornography but, it happens. And if my DMs are only .0001% of the population of Christian girls who struggle with lust, then I’m pretty sure every 1 in 2 girls probably has a secret habit of this too –– not even exaggerating. Women are humans with sexual urges too, just because we love Jesus doesn’t mean we don’t wanna do the do (after marriage, of course). But that’s where the struggle starts. As a single woman, we know that it’s God’s will for us wait until MARRIAGE. How can you wait that long and not explode? How is it even practical in terms of knowing your body before your husband does? It leads to a lot of curiosity about sex and a need to understand why it’s so forbidden. 

I saw my first pornographic video as a computer pop-up at 8-years-old. Since that day, it opened a curiosity about sex and what that entire “grown-up world” was about. Like any kid who grew up with the internet and didn’t know something, I googled “sex”. You can only imagine what I got myself into. It’s almost funny but it’s actually super traumatizing. I was bound to watching porn until I was a Sophomore in college. I always felt wrong and knew it wasn’t right after I finished, but I just took the few green lights from articles I found online about the joyous health benefits of masturbation and plugged my ears to my conscience screaming at me. I googled, “Is masturbation bad?” and of course, nothing but, “Nooooo, noo not at all! It’s healthy! It’s good for you to know your own body! It’s good for you to know what you like!” was all that I found. I didn’t think to google, “Is masturbation a sin?” I was 8, but maybe I would’ve had confirmation of the bad feeling that I had on the inside if I asked that question. Because, yes, masturbation is a sin (Matthew 5:27-30). Someone close to me could’ve told me this too, but that would mean admitting that I watch people have sex in my spare time... nah, I’m good. I isolated myself and felt so overwhelmed with shame. No one could know I dealt with this, I hid it and swore I would take it to my grave. But, like the saying goes “what is done in the dark comes to light” and my issues manifested in other ways. This habit led me to lust after my friends (bi-curiosity), feeling like a baby for being a teenaged virgin, and seeking validation from boys by wearing revealing clothes that I never actually felt comfortable in. 

The question that I get asked the most is, “how did you conquer it?” How did I overcome, stop the habit, break the stronghold?

A little backstory. 

So, my lifestyle and spiritual practice at 19 years old was anti-Jesus. I was down for anything, pretty much, except submitting my life fully to God. I didn’t have a religious affiliation, I just considered myself “spiritual.” My open-mindedness landed me in a toxic relationship with one of my closest friends who I knew was bisexual. When we began talking, we bonded over the law of attraction, manifestation, angel numbers, and we confessed to each other that we both watched porn –– it was attractive to her. Fast forward, after much emotional manipulation on both ends (I used her for validation and attention, she did the same), I ended it and I was ready to get serious about God. You see, I grew up a Pastor’s kid in church my whole life, I knew better and I was rebelling. I wanted the peace that surpassed all understanding, I wanted contentment, joy, and favor. That Christmas break, when I went back home from college, going to church felt different. I was engaged and hungry, I was spiritually poor and starved. That’s when my pastor read Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” That’s all I needed and I started pursuing God like never before. I blocked her number, I went back to school after my break and got rid of everything I owned that didn’t please God. I switched up the music that I was listening to, I fasted for the first time (and made it a real spiritual challenge for myself in order to get the most out of it), and I cut back on hanging out with my friends at the time. That’s when I stopped watching porn entirely, and it’s been a year since. Four months since I fell into masturbation. 

Now, I understand how that didn’t really answer the question. That’s because there’s nothing that we can do to conquer anything, but abide in God. It’s the Holy Spirit that gives us a desire to live for Him, He speaks to us and called us to Himself before we say to ourselves, “I think I’ll give Jesus a chance.” That’s Him choosing you! There’s a moment when you snap out of it and notice how you’ve been living in the scraps of what this world has to offer, that moment for me was blocking the girl I was dating. Everything that represented that life had to go, from posters to clothes to what I watched online. I refused to be enslaved to that sin and I surrendered my sexuality over to my Creator.

One thing I want you to take away from this is that we are not the hero in our story. We don’t vindicate ourselves or conquer anything, God is our hero and Savior. It’s through Christ that we are more than conquerors. Not through our own strength or practical tips. 

But they do help! Here are a few:

1) Guard your heart - don’t watch shows/movies or listen to music that’s centered around sex or has a lot of sex scenes in it. Otherwise, it will trigger you.

2) Be mindful of the company you keep - when you want to break free from sexual sin, you won’t find the support or good influences you need if your friends encourage casual sex. Entertaining conversations about sex might be triggering, too.

3) Remember that it takes physical effort and restraint to stop - this isn’t passive, you have to literally refuse and fight against it. 

4) Call on the name of Jesus - forreal, tho.

5) Tell someone - it doesn’t have to be right now but, tomorrow isn’t promised and confessing your sins will set you free. James 5:16.

You’ve probably tried all of that and it didn’t work, that’s because it will never be enough. You’re not strong enough to resist something as desirable and satisfying as sexual sin, as humans (even Christians!) we love sin. There’s something in us that can’t get enough of it –– unless we love something even MORE than we love sexual sin. We must love God, He is our strength. The more time you spend with Him (reading His word, praising Him, worshipping Him, learning more about Him) the more you’ll be disgusted by sin. God changes your desires and you’ll get to a point where you can’t even bring yourself to open that website again. It’s a fight against the Spirit and the Flesh, principalities, and powers, it’s not one you can just grit your teeth and power through –– ya need Jesus! 

Some of you will leave this post and have the spiritual motivation to spend some time with God for a few minutes, then you’ll be bored. You’ll think to yourself, “I really want to stop falling into this sin, but I guess I don’t want it enough because I keep falling asleep when I read the Bible.” That’s not true, beloved. We’ve all been there. Your level of engagement has nothing to do with how badly you want God to work in your life, you need the Holy Spirit to help you. Pray to your Heavenly Father and ask Him to give you the Holy Spirit so that you will enjoy and look forward to knowing more about Him. 

This temptation can either destroy your relationship with God or bring you closer to Him. He can break this thing off of you, but it will be His working in you — completely. He fights our battles, our job is to be still and abide in Him. The more you love Him, the more you’ll hate sin because sin separates *you* from the One that you love, Him. However, it never separates *His* love from *you* (Romans 8:31-38), we can begin to feel distant and guilty which leads us to continue because we feel too far gone anyways. That’s a lie from the enemy. The more you sin, the farther you stray from God, but He never will give up on you. Read Luke 15, it’s never too late to come home — it’s all about having a relationship.

God could instantly deliver you from this but, how would that change your heart and bring you closer to Him? You would be grateful for a bit, then you might slip into another temptation to replace the porn. It’s through a relationship with God that your heart changes and you will not desire any sin. Because outside of looking at others with lust by watching porn, are you a liar? Do you steal? Are you disrespectful to your parents? Are you easily angered and offended? If you are, you’re guilty of more than just watching pornography, you’ve committed crimes against God. But, He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to take our punishment for the sins we committed. Jesus experienced God’s condemnation so we never have to, all we have to do is trust that God’s punishment for us was finished in Jesus’ sacrifice and repent – turn from our old ways and be a new creation. We don’t do this in our own strength, we do this through the Holy Spirit, there’s no way any of us can be more like Jesus without His help. If you truly accept Jesus (not just say the Sinner’s Prayer but allow it to change you), you won’t just go to Heaven, but you’ll receive the love, validation, contentment, and the intimacy that you’ve been searching for here on Earth. 

I haven’t arrived fully to this point yet, it’s a process to become satisfied in Him as a Child of God. At times I fear that I haven’t really surrendered my life, there’s a lot that I still want to control like people’s perceptions of me and making sure nothing impedes on my nap time. However, I don’t doubt that God is greater. It takes time and devotion to love Him, I will continue to learn how to love Him for the rest of my life. But with love comes trust and trust leads to obedience, it’s like that for all of us.

God is not mad at you, He’s not ashamed of you, He doesn’t find you embarrassing and He is NOT disappointed in you. He loves you and He will fight this for you, all you need to do is receive His love by surrendering your life to His purpose for you and start living as the new creation that you are. You are a daughter of the Most High God, no longer are you a slave to sin. 

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

hi!! sorry i took so long to answer this,, uni has been kinda hectic!! and thank u love i was super happy to get such positive feedback from my tutor tbh :’)

so these are some of my tips for literary essay writing bc thats my remit but hopefully these ideas are kinda helpful anyway! 

firstly for me planning and researching is my best friend. i make mind map upon mind map in the initial stages of an essay until a clear idea for my argument comes along and then once ik what my argument will be i create a brand new set of mind maps to detail the key elements and ideas that support that argument! once thats super clear in my head i make sure i outline and further that argument in every paragraph of the essay. for me every para is a big new point that further drives home my argument and i try to have at least three of these big points across the scope of the essay.

also, it helps your reader (and your marks!!) to make your writing as lucid and incisive as poss! so use topic sentences and link them directly to the question/essay title. also try to have each sentence of your essays really building on your last - make sure to take time to consider contexts and close readings too. these can really help drive and support your points if you use them effectively! 

also use your conclusion space to ur maximum benefit - really drive home ur argument - consider its implications - maybe even pose a question or theory! i find it really expands the scope of my work when i do this :) also dont be afraid to challenge the question or challenge what critics have said before - some of the best work in literary studies really pushes back at previous scholarship!!

“Oh, Niall’s coming, by the way.”

Harry freezes, his fingers stilling in the murky sink water as he searches for the last dirty spoon.

“Is he?” he asks softly. His voice is tense and it hardly comes out at all, but Gemma, standing just beside him, still hears.

“Yeah. He said his flight got cancelled ‘cause of the snow so he couldn’t make it home. I told him he was more than welcome to come see us; he’s gonna be here around six.”

Harry takes even breaths, trying way too hard to seem casual as he finally grabs the spoon and scrubs it slowly.

“Why were you even talking to him?”

“Excus–”

“I just mean, like, how did it come up? Like, did he just call you out of nowhere, or…?”

“I was friends with him, too, Harry,” Gemma says. She tries to make Harry look at her when she takes he spoon from him, pausing so that they’re both holding on at the same time, but he refuses to meet her gaze.

“I know,” he mumbles, pulling the plug out of the drain. He watches the water spiral away and just hears Gemma over the gurgle as she walks away to put the spoon in the drawer.

“He was asking after you. He does sometimes.”

“Me?” Harry asks, moving full speed again as he turns around to pursue Gemma out of the kitchen. “Why didn’t he just ask me?”

“You don’t answer his messages.”

“I don’t get his messages.

“He still sends them,” she says, stopping at the bottom of the stairs to turn and look Harry in the eye now that he was finally interested. “It’s not his fault if you don’t check them.”

Harry shrugged one shoulder awkwardly. “He’s set as priority, I dunno why I wouldn’t get messages from him.”

“Well you’ve got plenty of time to figure it out in your email settings before he gets here.”

Harry feels guilty when Gemma walks away ‘cause he knows he gets all of Niall’s messages– the notifications for them, at least, but he always swipes them away so they don’t clog up his screen and then he never remembers to check them. He used to get lots of them, but they’re not so common anymore.

Harry sits in the living room and searches his apps for messages from Niall until his mum gets home from work. There’s a few posts in his Instagram inbox, some DMs on Twitter, a couple hundred notifications for the One Direction Whatsapp group, and Harry’s personal email has an entire folder of messages from Niall, most of them already opened from past holidays and events, but any sent this summer and on all sit unopened.

Anne’s home right at 3:30 like usual, and Harry greets her at the door with a hug like he did when he was in primary school; Anne doesn’t ask questions, of course she doesn’t. She’s just happy her son is finally home for a holiday.

“Niall’s coming over later,” he tells her, and she already knows.

“He told me this morning. I told him he’s always welcome round our house; he’s like a second son to me.”

She goes into the kitchen to check on the roast she told her kids to start that afternoon, and Harry follows at her heels.

“You talk to Niall behind my back, too?”

“Behind your back, love?” she asks in such a tone that Harry doesn’t even have to look at her to know that her eyebrows are raised. “I didn’t know I was doing anything behind your back. You and Niall are friends, aren’t you?”

Harry steps back, shuffles over to the fridge to see what alcohol is available for him to drink himself through tonight, and doesn’t answer his mum’s question.

“Harry.”

“What?” he asks, turning around.

“Why wouldn’t you be friends with Niall anymore? You were mad about him when you were in a band together.”

“Mum, I wasn’t mad about him–”

“Oh, you know what I mean.”

But that’s the thing, though. Harry was mad about Niall, wasn’t he? And who’s to say it won’t all come rushing back the second Niall pulls him in for a tight hug and he smells so good and feels so warm that Harry doesn’t wanna let go.

The words bubble up in his chest, like Harry wants to come clean and tell his mum right then and there that he actually was mad for Niall, like in love with Niall, especially toward the end, but he can’t make himself do it ‘cause one she knows– or at least when her suspicions are confirmed– there will be no way anyone can hide it from Niall when he’s right in front of them.

Instead Harry goes upstairs to take a shower, and by the time he’s out after belting several lovesongs later, it’s already nearly five.

Harry sits around in his room, one towel around his waist and one around his head, for another twenty minutes deciding what to wear, before he finally just pulls on fitted black sweatpants and a nice looking sweater over one of his branded t-shirts. He can’t put too much work into his outfit just because Niall is coming over, but he still wants to look nice so Niall might look at him and think he’s grown up well since the last time they really got to sit down together for more than a passing hello at festivals and concerts.

“Haribo, come help us finish dinner,” Gemma says from the other side of his bedroom door, and even after Harry crosses the room to leave, she���s still standing there.

“Ahh, casual but put together, I see. That’s a nice approach; I’m sure he’ll like it.”

“What? I’m not doing anything for him, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Mhm,” she smirks, “I’m sure. C’mon then, you’ve gotta finish the bread.”

Harry does finish the bread, which really only involved putting it in the oven to let it bake for the last half hour before Niall comes over. Harry spends the whole time pretending like his heart isn’t pounding in his chest, but it absolutely does. He sings Christmas songs with his family and dances around and loses himself for a little while until the doorbell rings and then his mouth dries up so fast he nearly chokes.

“Why don’t you go answer it, Harry?” Anne suggests, and Harry agrees and runs to the door– in a nonchalant way, of course. Totally. Completely like the nonchalant way he throws himself at Niall and hugs him tight as soon as he sees him.

“Hazza!” Niall says, hugging him back tightly. “It’s so good to see you, man! What have you been up to?”

“Sitting around writing songs, you know. Nothing much.”

“Nothing much?” Niall asks, pushing Harry back to an arm’s length. “Nothing like co-chairing the Met Gala or being a Gucci model or being a producer of a TV show or anything. Nothing much,” he laughs, and Harry laughs too because everything feels easy with Niall.

“Come in,” Harry says, wrapping his arm around Niall’s shoulders, “Mum and Gemma are excited to see you.”

“What, you’re not excited to see me?” Niall jokes, closing the door behind him and kicking off his boots by the door.

“I am,” Harry chuckles, “very much so.”

“Good.” Niall wraps his arm around Harry’s back and they walk together to the kitchen.

“Something smells fantastic in here, ladies,” Niall says, leaving Harry’s side to hug Anne and Gemma, mumbling nice hellos against their cheeks. Harry feels lonely as soon as Niall isn’t beside him and knows immediately that he is so fucked.

Even so, Harry only does a few embarrassing things that night, like force his way to sit beside Niall even if someone was already there, over excitedly insist that he was on Niall’s team when they played Scrabble, and maybe or maybe not get a bit too wine drunk and suggest that Niall stay the night in Harry’s room since Harry hung mistletoe over his bed “if you know what I mean.”

Luckily Anne wasn’t in the room for that last one, and Niall just laughed and laughed without saying much.

“I oughta be getting home,” Niall says far too soon, peeling a very cuddly Harry off of him. “It’s getting a bit late and– you know.”

“But you could just go in the morning,” Harry says, grabbing Niall’s hand.

“Why don’t you walk me out to my car, H?” Niall suggests, wiggling his hand free.

“But I don’t have shoes on.”

“Well,” Niall drawls, “why don’t you put shoes on while I go tell your mum and your sister goodbye?”

“Good idea,” he nods.

Harry’s still struggling to get his arm in his coat when Niall meets him by the door. Niall helps him with only a tiny chuckle and even zips the coat all the way up to his throat for him.

“It was good to see you, Harry,” Niall says as they head out the door.

“You too,” Harry nods. “Really nice seeing you.”

“I’m still in town for a few more days if you wanna meet up again. I keep trying to talk to you, but I guess you’re not getting my messages.”

“I’m bad at replying ‘cause I don’t know what to say,” Harry actually says out loud despite the fact that he meant to keep it in his head.

“Why wouldn’t you know what to say?” Niall asks as they crunch across the salted driveway to Niall’s car.

“I’m nervous.”

“Why are you nervous?” Niall laughs. “It’s just me, Harry. You’ve said dumb shit to me for years.”

“I know but, like… It’s different.”

“Why is it different?”

“‘Cause I don’t know what to say around you anymore.”

“H, I’m still me–”

“I know. That’s why it’s hard, ‘cause you’re you and I like you.”

“What, so you wanna impress me or something? You do that every day, H. You’re like the best person I know; you’re making everyone else look bad.” Niall laughs and leans on his car even though it’s so cold that they can see their breath in clouds between them. Harry just digs his hands into his pockets and shrugs.

It’s probably not the right time to tell Niall how he feels about him, Harry thinks. “Probably never will be.”

“Never will be what?”

“The time to tell you how– oh, I– um…” Harry stutters, completely blanking on what to say. Niall watches him expectantly, but when Harry doesn’t say anything else, he stands up with a small sigh.

“It’s really cold. I should be going.”

“Yeah… I should go back inside.”

“Give us another hug, then,” Niall says, pulling Harry in by his shoulders.

“I miss you,” Harry sighs.

“I miss you, too, H. Call me sometime.”

“I will,” Harry promises, and he hopes it’s a promise he won’t break.

“Love you,” he adds.

“Love you, too, buddy,” Niall says.

Harry doesn’t have it in him to say more.

Mental Health Awareness

Hey guys i just wanted to make a post because honestly i would love to use my platform, even if my following isn’t big, to spread awareness about mental illness.

I’m sure most of you are aware of the Logan Paul incident. If you aren’t let me give you some info, i won’t go into too much detail but basically a youtuber named Logan Paul uploaded a vlog containing some very disturbing images. He went into a forest called ‘Suicide Forest’ which is know as a place where people go to commit suicide, hence the name, and started vlogging there. Apparently there are even signs outside of the forest saying to not enter or record in it because of these situations, whether he saw them or not i don’t know but tbh i don’t think you should be entering a forest KNOWN for the amount of suicides there but ok? Anyways, whilst in the forest he found a man who has recently committed suicide and began filming him, zooming into him and stuff. I find this VERY disrespectful, to the victim AND the victim’s family. He then proceeded to POST this vlog to his millions of subscribers, most of them being ages 8-14 years old! People seem to be defending him saying that it’s okay because he blurred the mans face or its okay he put a warning at the beginning of the video, but people seem to be missing the point? He is completely disrespecting this man AND mental illness, and i won’t stand for that. 

Youtube didn’t even take the video down, in fact they put it on their top trending page for everyone to see! Promoting such a disgusting video! 

Now there is a point to this post. If you haven’t seen the video, i believe it’s been deleted but PLEASE do not go searching for it if you are easily triggered or suffer from any sort of mental illness. In fact don’t search for it even if you don;t suffer from mental illness, it isn’t even worth watching! 

Please, if you are suffering from mental illness, if you feel like giving up or you feel like you want to hurt yourself please know that it isn’t worth it. Your life is precious, and even if you don’t believe it there are people that LOVE you. You ARE worth it! Talk to someone. A parent. Friend. Teacher. Therapist. ME if you have to, i am ALWAYS here for anyone who is having a rough time, because i know how it feel to be in that situation. I have been through a lot, ( i will make a separate  about my mental illness experience if you guys want ) and i don’t want anyone to be going through this alone. So please if you are struggling speak out! I will include some numbers you can call, and remember like i just said my inbox is always open, my twitter and instagram links are on my page but i will link them in this post too so you can speak to me whenever. Samaritans -  116 123 -  operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year. If you prefer to write down how you're feeling, or if you're worried about being overheard on the phone, you can email Samaritans at [email protected].

Childline -  0800 1111 -  runs a helpline for children and young people in the UK. Calls are free and the number won't show up on your phone bill.

PAPYRUS -   0800 068 41 41 -  is a voluntary organisation supporting teenagers and young adults who are feeling suicidal.

CALM -  0800 58 58 58 -  is an excellent resource for young men who are feeling unhappy. 

US Hotlines

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline -  1-800-273-8255 -  a United States-based suicide prevention network of 161 crisis centres that provides a 24/7, toll-free hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. After dialling 1-800-273-TALK (8255), the caller is routed to their nearest crisis centre to receive immediate counselling and local mental health referrals. The Lifeline supports people who call for themselves or someone they care about.

Crisis Text Line -  a United States not-for-profit organization providing free crisis intervention via SMS message. The organization's services are available 24 hours a day every day, throughout the US by texting 741741.

Hopeline -  919-231-4525 or  877-235-4525 -  is a suicide prevention and crisis intervention hotline that can be called or texted. They operate by using active listening to support and reflect through any kind of crisis, even if not suicide related. While they are based in Raleigh, NC, they serve the entire nation.
