“Woah hold up there big man!! Srry ^^; we just wanted to know—“
“YOU CAN’T KEEP NOTHIN FROM US!!!”
“MIKEY!!”
One of my pieces for the sunset duo zine! Tried to capture the crazy dynamic these two have of constantly being unhinged and also the voice of reason💀 you never know who’s it gonna be. Also i was gonna do a raph being the unhinged one too, but this was already kicking my butt so…scrapped.
(This is the one im less proud of so stay tuned for my actual Sistine chapel, my Michelangelo, my Mona Lisa, etc✨)
Feeling more human and hooked on her flesh, I
Lay my heart down with the rest at her feet
Fresh from the fields, all fetor and fertile
It's bloody and raw, but I swear it is sweet⋅
Day 6: Blood
@tes-summer-fest
imagine you're nerevar and your wife and friends kill you and then your reincarnation goes and makes everything even more awkward by also falling in love with your wife. wouldn't that be wild. good thing meri is mentally stable, has a normal relationship with religion and gods, and has enough self respect not to knowingly let someone manipulate her, right? wait, uh oh. oh girl no-
if you didn't expect this from me at this point idk what to tell you lol. i think the girlies should kiss.
Holy crap I am sure I’m not the only one but please allow me to add my voice to the chorus of people asking you HOW you did that incredible mecha animation!!!
thanks so much for the ask!
unfortunately it’s really hard to explain exactly how in words. i can try to show you though!
here are the storyboards! i explained in another ask how i did the moving background, but i did not use any 3D software! i did the boards in an ipad app called ToonSquid, but it could’ve been done in any animation software that has layers and keyframing.
I exported all of the layers seperately (12 in total!!) to Clip Studio Paint, I then cleaned up the backgrounds and did my first round of keys and in betweens. the focus here was on keeping everything as on-model as possible, which was exceedingly difficult, because i didn’t actually make a model sheet because i am lazy.
then i did inks and shadows. this was by far my least favorite part of the process. i hate inking. it is boring and takes fucking forever. i think the results paid off tho!!
from there, i colored everything in CSP, and then imported each animated layer as an image sequence to adobe after effects, where i did all of the compositing! this is the final result!
