[...] that endings aren't a circumstance that nullifies the hope, that siphons the beauty from having felt deeply enough to stand up for my heart, to go in the direction of what filled it with light. I am slowly learning how to appreciate the endings, ...
how to allow for them to remind me that I was lucky enough to experience something real and rare in a world that sometimes fails to be soft, in a world that sometimes fails to connect.”

"If you have led a team you will know that the energy must always come from the bottom, top down methods rarely work. Enabling creative confidence in your team will create a conducive climate for creativity to happen at different levels and in unpredictable ways within your team.
Does this feel messy? Absolutely! Innovation is always messy, with a continuous churn of experimentation and failures. If you have adopted a culture of experiment /fail-fast it may appear that individual parts of the system are failing; however, the entire system as a whole begins to get healthier with time.
There will be trade offs, a good leader will always listen and be willing to update their preconceived notions when presented with evidence. An active feedback loop is important.
Something to bear in mind is that when faced with complete chaos, focus less on perfection instead focus on the big things that must absolutely get done for your organization.”

“Who else is on this journey of trying to embrace the beautiful messiness of our emotions! 🌊💕
It's okay to feel tangled, overwhelmed, or unsure at times. In fact, it's a sign of our humanity. By embracing the depth and complexity of our emotions, we open the door to profound growth, self-discovery, and healing.
What would you say is one of your "messy" emotions? Share in the comments below!”

*** 'True Lightheartedness' ***
“I was just thinking about the things I’ve learned from my husband [...]
…How to fold the laundry quicker.
(Focus on one task at a time. So what if you just realized this right here is disorganized and this other area needs to be cleaned? It’s alright. It can wait. One moment at a time. One task at a time. And if you don’t finish, that’s alright too. Life is not lived in the immaculate, the complete, the perfectly done, the spotless. Life is lived in the in-betweens, in the messy, in progress, in the here and now, one moment at a time.) ”

Erin's quotation about ‘making a mess’ carries valuable lessons regarding taking messy action, fostering creativity, and embracing intention. It emphasizes allowing oneself to explore and experiment without fear of perfection or rigid structure.
My key takeaways:
Embrace Imperfection: By allowing ourselves to make a mess, we let go of the pressure to achieve flawlessness. It encourages us to embrace imperfection as a natural part of the creative process. We discover new possibilities, unexpected outcomes, and uncharted territories through messy action.
Spark Creativity: Making a mess opens space for innovation and creative breakthroughs. It encourages us to step outside what is familiar and comfortable. When we allow ourselves to explore without constraints, we tap into our innate creativity, sparking fresh ideas and novel approaches.
Cultivate Intentional Growth: While making a mess implies a degree of chaos, it is essential to approach it with intention. It is not about aimless or haphazard actions but rather a purposeful exploration. By intentionally immersing ourselves in the messy process, we create opportunities for growth, learning, and personal development.
Build Momentum: The quote suggests that momentum arises from making a mess. When we take messy action, we generate forward movement and energy. It propels us beyond stagnation and inertia, driving us toward progress and accomplishment. Embracing messiness builds momentum that moves us closer to our goals.
The transformative power of ‘making a mess’ encourages us to let go of perfectionism, nurture creativity, act with intention, and harness the momentum that emerges from embracing the mess. By doing so, we unlock our full potential, drive innovation, and embark on a path of continuous growth.

*** The Power of ‘YES’ ***

Saying 'Y.ES!' to M.E.S.S.Y.
Having read Jason Nelson's recent Linkedin post on the power behind saying, 'Yes' to "awaken our true self - an act of surrender," I couldn't help but notice that it beautifully connects to the 'Live Messy' mantra, "M.ake E.veryday S.omething S.pecial Y.ES!," which encourages us to unleash our inner artist and create something unique and special in our daily lives. Whether through painting a blank canvas, participating in the act of kindness, or expressing gratitude, saying "yes" to "the beautiful, messy, and unpredictable journey of life" allows us to tap into our creativity and discover the depths of our potential in leading a fulfilling, happier life.

Quote
Messy people are willing to challenge the conventional norm. They aren’t confined to the status quo. In a growing age where minimalism seems to be taking on the world by storm, we must remember that there is beauty in chaos.
Isabel Hwang. The quotation above was from an essay that was one of the Top 12 winners of the Sixth Annual Student Editorial Contest, for which the The New York Times received 10,509 entries.
