Just wanted to make this Yaku x Horo one short 👀 I'm starting to like this ship. I don't know why. They make an interesting couple.
I might do a +18 one short for them- Idk
"Ugh..."A hangover Horo groaned in pain, having his head laying down on the long kitchen island while sitting on an adjustable height chair. It was Saturday, and it was almost 2 in the afternoon. Horo barely woke up from his slumber. "Here."Kaga spoke, placing a cup of water and a painkiller in front of Horo for him to take for the pounding headache,"This will make you feel better. I'll tell Yaku to make you some food once he returns from grocery shopping."
Horo slowly lifted his head and grabbed the pill. He put it on the back of his tongue before swallowing it with the water. He placed the empty glass cup down,"Thanks..."He mumbled out and leaned against the kitchen island,"What happened last night? I remember we went to the club to drink and relax, but after a few cups, everything became blurry, and I don't remember what happened after."He explained.
"Yeah. We did. You drank too much, though."Kaga grabbed the glass cup and placed it in the sink,"Homu, Yaku, and I had to almost drag you to the car when it was time to go back home."
"Everything was normal. You kept dancing with the women you called 'Hot babes' in the club."Homu responded as she was sitting down on the couch and scrolling through her tablet while Meka was watching a new episode of her mega anime that came out this morning,"Yeah. Oh, and you kissed Yaku."
Horo's body froze at what Meka said and slowly looked back at her,"I did what?"
"You kissed Yaku. I even took a video of it."Meka said and reached out for her phone next to her. She unlocked it and scrolled through her gallery. She lifted her arm to show Horo her phone screen. Horo immediately stood up from his chair and went to Meka's phone. He snatched it and watched the played video.
Meka was right.
In the video, Horo was kissing Yaku rather passionately while Yaku was standing with shock. Yaku's visor had exclamation marks. After a few seconds, Yaku seemed to be kissing him back!
Horo stared at the phone with a blank expression, but deep inside, he was horrified. The video ended, not showing what happened next. Meka snatched her phone back from Horo,"I'm saving this for blackmail."She slid her phone in her pocket to prevent Horo from grabbing it and deleting the video.
"You were really into it."Homu said, having her eyes glued onto her tablet screen,"I was predicting that you two were going to sleep together, but that didn't happen. Either way, you two seemed to enjoy it very much."
"I didn't think you would be attracted to men, Horo."Kaga smiled mischievously on the new information he got of his roommate.
"I'm not."Horo protested, shooting a glare at Kaga.
"Well, that video says the opposite. You two kissed for a good 2 minutes."Kaga smirked widely. Horo groaned in annoyance,"I don't like men. I like women. Tits, virgina, and ass, okay?"
"Now you can add penis on that list too."Meka teased him, having her eyes on the TV screen. "At least you had your first kiss with the person you trust the most."Homu reassured him. Horo covered his face with his hands, being irritated on the situation,"I can't believe this happened. Now, I can't do anything about it."He muttered.
The door opened to reveal Yaku carrying bags full of foods that they needed. Yaku closed the door with his foot and made his way to the kitchen counter. He placed the bags down with a soft smile on his face. He glanced over to spot Horo,"You're awake. I was going to make you food, but it would have been cold by the time you woke up. I'll make you some food real quick -"Yaku stopped himself from continuing once Horo's eyes stared Yaku down,"What?"He asked with question marks on his visor.
"Meka told me what happened between us. She has a video of it."
Yaku continued to stare at him before realizing what he was talking about,"Oh! The kiss. Oh yeah, that happened. For someone who hasn't gotten his first kiss, you're a good kisser!"
"Was that the reason you kissed him back?"Kaga questioned, looking over at Yaku while putting away the groceries. Yaku nodded,"Yup! Also, I was a bit tipsy myself, so my mind wasn't fully there. It was a good experience!" Horo stared at Yaku in disbelief before making his way towards him. His hand immediately met the back of Yaku's head smacking him.
"Hey!"Yaku yelped.
Horo crossed his arms, feeling irritated, but kept a blank expression on his face. Yaku rubbed the back of his head and looked at Horo,"It was a good experience,"He leaned closer to Horo with a smirk on his face,"I didn't know you were so passionate."
Horo grabbed Yaku's face and pushed him away from him. Yaku stumbled back, but balanced himself,"Hey!"
"I'm not drinking again."
"You will. You're just too shy to accept that you love me."Yaku smiled and wrapped his arms around his best friend happily. Horo blankly stared down at Yaku,"I will smack you again."He threatened.
"You can smack my ass if you want."Yaku teased, having a mischievous smile on his face. In response, Horo smacked his head again, earning a yelp from his best friend.
"I was just joking!"Yaku cried out with a soft pout and rubbed his head again.

"The pain is stronger than ever. I’ve seen bit of lost Paradises and I know I’ll be hopelessly trying to return even if it hurts. The deeper I swing into the regions of nothingness the further I’m thrown back into myself, each time more and more frightening depths below me, until my very being becomes dizzy. There are brief glimpses of clear sky, like falling out of a tree, so I have some idea where I’m going, but there is still too much clarity and straight order of things, I am getting always the same number somehow. So I vomit out broken bits of words and syntax's of the countries I’ve passed through, broken limbs, slaughtered houses, geographies. My heart is poisoned, my brain left in shreds of horror and sadness. I’ve never let you down, world, but you did lousy things to me." - Jonas Mekas

I woke up. A voice said: You don't have to go anywhere. You just have to make yourself ready. Everything will come by itself.

Can I see Furina, Navia, Lynette, and Yae Miko dealing with their S/O who wears a mask all the time and never seen your face before? S/O got hurt badly protecting them and they took S/O mask off and see what S/O looks like and help them.
(Genshin Impact) Furina, Navia, and Lynette with a S/O who wears a mask
This is the way. I'd do Yae but my brain is at maximum capacity writing for the three, so remind me to write Yae later!
POTENTIAL POST-ARCHON QUEST SPOILERS FOR THE FONTAINE CHARACTERS UNDER THE CUT!
Tumblr media
Furina had become very used to the sight of her S/O's mask.
It was reminiscent of a theatre mask, fittingly enough. The holes for the eyes were completely black, and there was no expression for the mouth.
No one could identify what S/O was feeling, other than determining it by voice alone.
Many people found it suspicious, but she wasn't one to judge.
Especially since Furina herself wore a metaphorical mask for the past few centuries.
And besides, there were far more suspicious people in Tevyat than the one person just covering their face.
Furina had grown to love S/O since they did the same for her. They cared for the person underneath the facade, and Furina did the same.
During their travels, they had come under attack by rogue Meka and were caught off guard.
Although Furina cannot not die, S/O very much could, and had gotten terribly injured during the skirmish.
===
(Furina) "S/O!"
Furina quickly dispatched the last Meka with her vision, a burst of Hydro sending it tumbling into the waters below in pieces.
S/O had finished off their attackers with a sword bisecting the machine. However, they were breathing heavily and leaning against a nearby rock, sliding down.
The mask betrayed nothing of what they felt, but she could tell they were hurt.
Panic began to set in Furina's head, quickly scrambling to help. Her eyes glowed a bright blue before a familiar appeared next to S/O, healing the worst of their injuries.
(Furina) "S/O, are you okay?!"
Her usual bravado was absent though it was slowly starting to come back when she saw their breathing begin to steady itself.
(S/O) "Could....be worse, thanks."
Furina's hand placed itself onto her chest, breathing a deep sigh of relief.
(Furina) "Thank goodness! Come now, we shall get ourselves some rest and-"
A red stream trickled down S/O's face, coming from underneath the mask and catching her attention.
(Furina) "Your head! Allow me to-"
Furina's hand stopped itself as it quickly reached for their mask. She had never seen S/O without it, and she wasn't sure if they wanted to be seen with it off.
Silently answering her, S/O's hand gently reached up to her arm, and nodding.
(S/O) "Not a word of this to anyone."
Furina gave them a weary smile.
(Furina) "It depends on how handsome/pretty you are, S/O."
Hearing their pained chuckle, Furina slowly took off the mask and saw their face for the first time. She couldn't help but stare for a few seconds before moving to clean the blood from their head.
It scared her so much to see them hurt, but it was also comforting to see them give her a reassuring smile back, and to see those eyes staring back into hers for the first time.
(S/O) "...D-Don't just stare at me like that, Furina."
(Furina) "How could I not? You look incredible, simply marvelous!"
(S/O) "Even with blood gushing out of me?"
(Furina) "Hah, especially so. It makes you look rather dashing."
S/O could tell she was joking, as her hands were still gripping tightly onto theirs from worry.
(S/O) "Once I actually look presentable and not beat up, you can stare all you like."
(Furina) "I will hold you to that. Now, let's get you cleaned up!"
Furina not so subtly stared at S/O on the way back, smiling back when S/O noticed her and broke off eye contact. How cute!
Tumblr media
Navia did raise an eyebrow at S/O upon first meeting, but she quickly became accustomed to it.
It's not like she dressed all that subtly herself after all.
And besides, what matters the most about a person is what's on the inside!
And to Navia, S/O was one of the most trustworthy people you could meet, weird mask aside.
She did not pry on their reason for wearing it, only wanting to ask when the time seemed right.
But that time came quicker than she thought after a dangerous encounter with bandits.
===
(Navia) "Feeling lucky?!-"
Her umbrella gun's blast blew away the ground the bandits were standing on, sending them flying back.
After seeing them retreat after dealing with the remaining ruffians, she smirked in satisfaction.
(Navia) "Serves you punks right, now get out of here! Hah! S/O, did you-"
Turning back to brag about her skills to S/O, she suddenly noticed that they weren't responding, and worst of all, they were on the ground with red on their hands.
Navia stopped breathing for a split second before nearly sprinting over to them, quickly lifting them up.
(Navia) "No! No no no, please, no!"
(S/O) "...N-Navia-"
(Navia) "Please, stay with me! I can't lose you too!"
Navia's hand brushed against the side of their head, her eyes welling up with tears as her heart raced.
S/O's hands wiped away the tears from her face before speaking up.
(S/O) "I'll live. They just grazed me. Promise."
(Navia) "Y-You...You better...!"
S/O slowly reached for their mask and took it off to look Navia in the eye. A small amount of blood came from their lips, but they thankfully displayed no signs of bleeding out.
Navia stared wide eyed at the sight of their face, taking it in. This was the first time she had ever seen them with it off, and this was not the time she was expecting to.
(S/O) "S-See? Heh, perfectly fine...OW!"
Navia suddenly grabbed their face, squishing it repeatedly with one hand as she rubbed off the blood with her thumb.
(Navia) "Why...Why in the world did you not take that off sooner?! You're simply breathtaking!"
(S/O) "Becushyewd'dewdis!" (Because you'd do this!)
They could not form the sentence correctly with how Navia's hands were squishing their cheeks together, as if she were squeezing a ball.
S/O gently grabbed Navia's wrist and lifted it off their face, chuckling lightly.
(S/O) "Not that I don't mind your hand on me, but can you at least do so without feeling me up like a toy?"
(Navia) "A-Ah, my apologies! You're hurt as well, so we need to get you to a doctor!"
Throughout the trip, S/O caught Navia taking several glances to examine their face.
Tumblr media
Lynette had kept her eye on S/O the moment she heard rumors about a masked individual going around Fontaine.
She had learned to watch out for any signs of danger in a person, especially if it concerned herself or Lyney.
What had shocked her the most was that S/O had displayed no reason to distrust them, other than the mask.
In fact, they were one of the most trusting people she had met, looking into any information about them, nothing about their past was particularly alarming.
So that meant their reasons for wearing the mask was less to conceal an identity and more personal.
The two had gotten to know each other after S/O was found taking care of a few stray cats around the city, both of them quietly enjoying their time.
After that, it became a lunch or two, and a few conversations here and there.
Eventually, it blossomed into something more as the two spent time, neither of them fully revealing everything about their past.
S/O didn't pry, so Lynette didn't either. At least not after she got to know the person behind the mask.
But after S/O had saved her from rather vicious wildlife...
===
S/O and Lynette took a moment to breathe, escaping to higher ground from the creatures attacking them.
(Lynette) "That was too close. S/O, thanks for-"
Her ears turned sideways as she realized there was blood falling from S/O's head.
(Lynette) "You're bleeding! Sit down!"
(S/O) "O-Ow...No need to tell me twice."
S/O almost collapsed before Lynette caught them, slowly making them lean against a nearby rock as she grabbed their mask.
She took it off without thinking and was stunned by seeing their face for the first time.
Her ears immediately straightened up as the words got caught in her throat. Lynette almost forgot what she was doing until seeing the blood trickle down.
S/O made no motion to stop her, only giving her a small smile that made her heart race even faster. After cleaning the injury on their head, she averted her gaze.
(Lynette) "...Sorry. I should have asked first."
(S/O) "You were worried, so you acted. If anything, I'm flattered."
Hearing their voice so clearly was messing with her head. To finally connect their soothing voice to a face was almost unnatural to her. Part of her was convinced that she'd never actually see it, at least not this soon.
(S/O) "You told me quite a bit about yourself and Lyney already, I think it's about time I returned the favor, anyway."
Lynette returned their smile, albeit hers was not as big.
(Lynette) "I suppose that's a fair trade."
She was finally able to look them in the eye for a few seconds before putting the mask back into their hands.
(Lynette) "...You should have that mask off more often."
(S/O) "I'll do that if you promise me you'll do the same...As long as it's only the two of us."
Her ears twitched for a brief moment, processing what they were asking.
She sincerely doubted at this point they were the type to blabber about anything they were told, something she was thankful for.
And if she got to see the true them, maybe that wasn't the most outrageous demand they could make.
Lynette had seen worse deals, anyway.
(Lynette) "Only for the two of us."
S/O responded by holding her hand tightly, and she responded in kind.
(Lynette) "First, we need to get back to the city. I've had enough outdoors for today."
(S/O) "Heh, agreed."
On the way back, Lynette could not keep her eyes off their face and felt a tad disappointed watching them put it back on as they reached civilization again.

Hihihihihi, I couldn't help myself but write something for the otter!creator its on my mind since the brainrot(yes I am the anon who sent that otter idea, and yes I shall dub myself as the otter!anon in your blog)
Set place in Childe in Court

The traveler and Paimon rush out to get out of their seats, seeing childe activing his foul legecy, "Ah! his activing his foul legecy!" Paimon cups her cheeks in shock, while traveler looks around to try and stop Childe from activing his foul legecy.
BOOM.
The traveler blinks, at the sudden slam from the stage, The traveler and Paimon quietly gasp as the dust cleared out, there Neuvillette standing over Childe who appeared knock out at the ground, "I am sorry" Neuvillette voice is loud and echo around the entire court "If you been wronged, we will find the truth" Neuvillette gracefully turn around "But the rules of the court, but be upheld" the clockwork meka rush past Neuvillette to take Childe into the fortress.
Then tiny claps slowly echo around the court, the audience, Paimon, Travelr, and Neuvillette look to the sound, up there next to Furina is an Otter, clapping frequently with their tiny paw pads, the Otter seems be treated well, seeing that the Otter is next to the Hydro Archon and seems to be sitting at the most softest and comfortable pillows known to whole teyert, the clapping continues on, if you look closely you can see tiny stars around the Otter face, seemly amaze by the outcome of this trial.
The Otter finally notice the attention, slowly ease their clapping and let out a tiny embarass "Kyuu..." which silently made Furina 'aww' before coughing loudly and anouncing that the trial is over, and the whisper slowly begin the court room, Neuvillette slighty smirk, perhaps the case wasn't so bad after all, their little friend seemed to enjoy it.
Following Neuvillette and Furina out after the trial, Paimon and Aether quickly gained on the duo.
“Wait!! WAIT!!!” Called Paimon, an out of breath Aether behind her. The pair stopped their little walk, turning to face them.
“Who’s your little friend?” Aether asked.
“Ah! Mon trésor! Yes yes, me and Monsieur Neuvillette’s darling ˈbābē! Oh, they are but a dear friend to us, isn’t that right, Ma raison d’être? Oh yes it is! Aren’t you so beautiful.~” Furina slowly stopped talking to them, instead cooing at the otter she held in her arms, akin to a baby. She rocked them and booped their nose, giggling throughout.
“Yes, I found ma moitié when I was taking a stroll, traveler. They clung to my leg and then held an amazing opulent shell to me. After taking it they seemed to request to be picked up, and how could I ever say no to ma raison de vivre.” Neuvillette gently took off the hat on the otter, smoothing the fur beneath it before patting the hat back on.
“They have stuck to my side ever since.” He mused.
“AND when they met moi, mon preux chevalier just couldn’t resist!~” Furina exclaimed.
“You guys sure do have a bunch of nicknames for them… jeez…” Paimon muttered.
Aether stared at the blue duo before gently reaching a hand out to pet the otter, only for his hand to get slapped away. When he looked back up, he was met with the glares of both Neuvillette and Furina.
“Do. Not. Touch. Mon. Trésor.” “GET YOUR FILTHY HAND AWAY FROM MON ANGE!” Both Aether and Paimon flinched back in shock.
“You dare try to place you hands of their gleaming coat!? I’ll have you know that it costs more than you’ll EVER SEE IN YOUR LIFE to make it this shiny!!!!” “Keep your tainted flesh to yourself.”
The traveling duo stared on in shock. That was… rather hostile. And now they were just glaring at each other.
Of course, that was until the topic of the discussion began to make noise.
All four of them looked down at the now squirming otter in Furina’s arms. They struggled in her grasp before dropping to the floor. They ran over to Aether before standing on their hind legs, reaching up at Aether to be picked up.
He quickly looked up at the others, noting their shock. Then, he hesitantly picked them up, cradling them in his arms. They began to chirp and chitter in happiness. Aether once again looked up at the other two, Paimon hiding behind him.
Furina and Neuvillette both stared with blank faces, before the hydro archon whipped her hat off her head, shoved it in her face and turned around. She bounced on her heels as she squealed.
“AWEEE!-,” she seemed to immediately regain composure however, “*Ahem* I- I mean, look at our ˈbābē!” She said as she turned back around, still hiding the lower half off her face behind her hat.
Neuvillette turned his head as well, his eyes closed and his hand covering his flushed cheeks and trembling lips.
“S- so adorable..!”
The otter simply snuggled into the man’s arms, continuing to chitter away happily.
Otter!Creator breathing: 🙂
Furina, Neuvillette, and basically the entirety of Fontaine: 🥹🥹🥹
Otter!Creator is so soft. Literally the difference between them and Boar!Creator is the fact that one was pampered and the other basically spent their first year entirely in the wild lol ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა˖⁺‧₊˚
They’re probably gonna have their own tag now, and welcome Otter!Creator Anon! When I finally get around to fixing up my blog so it’s neat and tidy, you’re gonna go right on the anon list, first place! (I really feel like people like Otter!Creator over Boar!Creator but it’s fine, it’s cool ૮꒰ ˶꒦ິ꒳꒦ິ˶꒱ა♡)

Wriothesley as a duke duke in an actual kingdom setting is so underrated for no reason. He's called Duke of Fortress of Meropide for a reason?? It's uncommon to stumble upon writers who ran with it literally.
Map-wise, Fortress of Meropide was located around the Liffey region + near the Fontaine Kinetic research institute, which, canonically was the northern part of the entire fontaine region. It was near Snezhnaya and Natlan (which opens up a lot of potential troupe of diplomatic issues). It's underwater, have a very unique demography of criminals, and relies almost solely to meka machine production as it's source of income. People who come to the fortress of meropide dukedom are either officials, knights, or criminals. One of the main duty of the fortress of meropide dukedom is to guard the primordial water gate (say this is before archon quest) which opens up plot similiar to guarding the borders from monsters and savages, etc.
Wrio can be titled the uncrowned king of no man's land and it is true.
Someone could just write Wriothesley as the "monster" duke of the north with a very mysterious personality. No one outside the dukedom Fortress of Meropide (except for officials like Neuvillette and Clorinde) have ever seen his face, so they deem him as a rough ex-criminal with an ugly face.
The only good thing the nobles had to say about him are his military resources. The dukedom have donated 1/3 of the entire royal knights, beating even top military academies in the capital. Nobody knows how much military power he got on his sleeves. He was also known for his wealth. As the sole producer of the meka machines used all over Fontaine, Wriothesley have accumulated more wealth then any other nobles could even imagine. This allowed him to have crazy intel (through an infamous guild named Spina de Rosula) and people grew to fear even speaking of his name.
Meanwhile, [name] was the adopted child of a middle-class noble, say a count. [name] was to be married to Wriothesley as a way from the Iudex to validate Wriothesley's title as a duke because many nobles invalidate Wriothesley's nobility (they think Wrio is a lowly ex-criminal who only got his title because he took over the Fortress). The family of [name] was one of the nobles that openly criticized Wriothesley; afraid of the Iudex's order to send one of their child to marry the duke, they sent [name], a convenient scapegoat who happens to be adopted because they have a pyro vision and is intellectually superior.
So now [name] is set to be sent to the fortress of meropide dukedom. Relieved they can finally part with the toxic noble family that housed them all these years, they marched straight to the dukedom with their escorts.
... I will write the continuation of this later.
My extra ideas in a list;
1. Navia, the famous Marchioness who is known to host an exclusive salon and takes over the land of Poisson (in this case salon is a space for mingling within nobles) is actually the leader of the infamous Spina de Rosula guild, selling everything from information to rare artifacts highly sought after. She is the anonymous affiliate to The Fortress of Meropide Dukedom and supplied a lot of stuff in the dukedom.
2. Furina, the grand duchess of Fontaine. She is the face of the royal court, known for her famous acting and directing career. Responsible for the diplomacy of Fontaine and international affairs.
3. Neuvillette, the Iudex and ultimate head of the royal court. Responsible for carrying out judgement to every trial, national affairs, and control the noble faction to prevent overpower from the higher class of fontainians.
4. Cheuvreuse (is this right spelling?), the Captain of the Shadow Knights. Main duty is to spy, interrogate and catch criminals. Frequently sighted coming back and forth to the fortress of meropide to send more batches of criminals.
5. Clorinde, the Captain of the Royal Knights Division 1. Main duty is to act out the ultimate verdict made by the Iudex and guard national affairs.

I'm currently unmotivated to write anything long and especially after the devs did us so dirty for the PVE announcement so here are some headcanons, imagines- whatever you want to call this to comfort me from the fact we're not getting the PVE we were promised 4 years ago
Overwatch crews
Slumber party whenever a mission is accomplished. Don't matter if everyone's weary as hell, with Lena and Hana running around you are sure to get yourself a slumber party every month. If said mission isn't a success though, it's more of  a chill hangout with the members of the team Hana, Satya and Angela will bring your ass to a shopping spree. Whether you like it or not so be prepared because with them, you're gonna spend the whole day out there. Honestly though, if you don't like it Lena, Fareeha and Brigitte are by the arcades or the sport terrain near the shopping alley. So whenever you feel like it, you can go there to play with them There’s another tradition going around, twice a month, a member of the team cooks for the rest of the crew. It started with Mei, Aleksandra and you talking about your culture’s food. Mei offered to cook for you two to taste Chinese cuisine which you gladly accepted. In return, you two would also cook your culture’s food. With time passing by, other members joined the tradition and now, Echo chooses who would cook for this month’s tasting food session It turned into a competition when Lena decided to vote for the best month’s food Mei, Ana and Brigitte for the moment are on the podium sharing the first place Lena and Hana have zero points. Lena almost burnt the kitchen once. Luckily, you were there to put out the fire She doesn’t have the patience to wait for things to cook For Hana, ever since she entered MEKA, she didn’t have the time to prepare food. The best she could do is boil water and put it on her noodles. Though, ever since she joined Overwatch, she has had a little bit more time so she takes lessons from Mei and Brigitte. Lena watches but never fully join because else, it’ll turn into a mess Every week, Vivian holds a shooting session training. The best shooter of the week gets a gift from her and is exempted from chores for the week Ana has been exempted from participating in this shooting session ever since she won five times in a row
Talon crews
Olivia doesn't stop her pranks, so either you decide to team up with her to prank the others or you go against her. If you prank her, she will at least remind you this once a  week. "Amigo/amiga, how could you do this to your best friend in the world?" sighs dramatically while placing an arm on her forehead "Can you believe this? My best friend, betraying me..." Or "oh no, the betrayal. Who could have foreseen  such an event?" Amelie is more often than not the victim of Olivia's pranks. It's gotten so bad one time Olivia and you couldn't set a foot near the base or she would snipe you from afar She's "kind" Enough to not use real bullets but let's say you had bruises for the following weeks Moira is a target you two don't prank because you've been under her wrath and let's just say, it's not pleasant at all Olivia does try to get all of you to enjoy some vacation time. She does separate Amelie and  Moira, because she knows Amelie is showing more and more emotions and she doesn't want her to return to that cold emotionless assassin Talon turned her into. So for her sake, she keeps Moira away from her When Olivia, Amelie and yourself are out for a mission or a vacation, Amelie will make sure to make at least one comment on the food. She grew up with the finest food so she knows what good food is or not. You once bought her a baguette from a supermarket, she did not appreciate it. She could have stopped if not for  Olivia's intervention "It's just a baguette, how bad can it be?" And that's how you all three didn't get any sleep because of Amelie's monologue on baguette Olivia is a lot more laid back so she takes you sightseeing and if she trusts you enough, she takes you to her hometown. She even lets you meet up with Baptiste.
No-faction Ladies
Kiriko
Kiriko is dragging your ass across the city and showing you the finest spots If you're dating, it's one of your monthly dates to walk around the city and discover new paths or stands/shops. Even if she knows her city like the back of her hand, she's still pleased you're enjoying showing her shops you like She also practices her kunai throwing with you. It’s a lot of fun for her to see you mess up so many times. Although, you get closer to the target with each training session and she holds great pride in seeing your progress She trusts you enough after some time spent together, as well as some missions done together, to show you the group in which she belongs: The Yōkai You spend some fun times with them and seeing as they all have some masks, you decided to craft one for Kiriko. Of course, it’s a fox one. Kiriko loves it so much she doesn’t wear it, in fear she breaks it but she places it in her apartment.
Junker Queen
Odessa doesn't get out of Junkertown a lot, if not at all since she got her Junker Queen title. So if you're travelling fairly often, you give her pictures of your travels. "Oi! You should take me out here, sounds lots of fun!" "I tried, you say you were too busy ruling things around here." "Ey, doesn't mean I can't get to travel from time to time with me partner." Every time you come back from your travels, whether it is for business or for yourself, you always tell how you trip went down. Of course, with pictures to accompany your story. Odessa finds it easier to follow if she has pictures in front of her
Ashe
Liz loves to experiment with her outfits, if you have any good idea she’s going to bring it to life. If one of your ideas doesn’t please her, she’s going to give you interesting feedback. She is a firm believer in constructive criticism She often asks BOB to watch over you when she’s gone for a heist but sometimes, it does seem like you’re the babysitter You teach BOB about some customs he might not have been aware of. It’s a lot of fun watching him learn new things

LYNEY (ETC): # a radiant feast.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count. 0.7k. genre. platonic angst/comfort.
synopsis. after you've already had a long day, lyney asks you for a favour. you don't have it in you to refuse.
merry christmas, @rainswept! i was overjoyed to receive your url in the @2023gisecretsanta, but i also became worried quickly after that i wouldn't be able to write something i would be satisfied with to dedicate to you. let this be a letter of affection from me, june, your dear mutual, as well as from lyney, lynette, and freminet.
warnings. light metaphors of drowning, food mention. plenty of wistfulness because i can't help myself.
Tumblr media
It was no secret that life in Fontaine could be draining.
The motions of work, of entertainment, of operas and of oceans, washed over you like waves, beating you onto the shore. You wouldn’t vocalize it on any days but the ones you’d find yourself hacking up saltwater from your lungs thanks to your survival instinct. These days, you tried to keep to yourself—you didn’t want to make mistakes at work or dampen the lives of the people you encountered daily. Most importantly you didn’t want to risk lashing out at someone like Lyney or Lynette, who were each always too dear of friends when you deserved it the least.
Today, you were drowning. Vision dull, breaths short, thoughts grey. You took the longer, more unfrequented road home from work. The roads here were tidier and emptier, and it was far easier to focus on the light scattering of gravel beneath your steps without concern of walking into the path of Clockwork Meka or interrupting a Melusine’s business. It was much easier to focus on the calm sensations around you while your thoughts swirled in a more-than-sufficient whirlwind of chaos.
In this setting the tap on your shoulder causing you to jump may be excused. This sentiment was confirmed when you saw it to be the master of surprise himself: Lyney.
“There you are!” he exclaimed. “Taking the long way home, I see!”
You could only stare. Against the Fontainian pastels, even against the purple sky you hadn’t noticed before, his black and cherry red attire blazed.
“How are you, friend?”
You shrugged. “I’m getting by.”
His clear eyes swept across your face, worry fleeting. His composure suddenly changed and he reached his hand to his shoulder in seeming perplexity. “I’ve—I’ve got to ask you a favour, but if it’s too much for you right now, I understand.”
You furrowed your brow. You’d known Lyney for years, and you could only think of a couple times he’d asked you for anything. If he was asking for a favour like this, it had to be serious.
There were no bones in your body willing to let Lyney think he couldn’t ask you for help. Swallowing your exhaustion as well as you could, you stretched your face into a smile.
“Of course, Lyney. What is it?”
With a relieved laugh and another shift of expression, he said, “Lynette and I are working on a set for our next show tonight, and we have to gather some resources from the hill overlooking the Opera Epiclese. Could you come and help us carry them in an hour thirty?”
“What is it you have to get from all the way up there?” you asked.
With a furtive glance around, Lyney pressed a slender finger to his lips. “You’ll see.”
Ninety minutes later you were making the last of the climb up the Fonainian slope. A trail of purple was all that remained of the sun’s disappearance. Ahead, you now noticed a glow on the edge of the slope, and three figures there. Pulling your energy together, you jogged towards them.
There was a table placed as evenly as possible in the grass, and four chairs around it. Facing you sat Lynette, who smiled and waved, and Lyney and Freminet took two of the other seats. Upon the table was a beautiful checkered cloth, a magical display of sandwiches and fruits and pastries, and a candlestick illuminating the last chair.
“You made it,” said Lynette. “Good evening.”
Freminet turned, a smile in his eyes. “I’m glad the climb wasn’t too hard.”
Lyney stood from his chair and came over to you. He took your hand and led you to the fourth chair. “Sit, my dear friend! We shall feast as royalty together under the stars.”
You obediently took your place. One does not refuse a magician’s orders.
And the night was jolly over sweet food and unhindered laughter. The light came into your breaths once again, in much the same way as you might swallow a sip of cool water. By the end of the evening, you couldn’t help but be distracted—not by your thoughts, but by the state of the scene. Surrounded by friends, you were high above the waters of Fontaine. You were above the crashing waves, the bustling life, the choking fumes. Here, you had the all the wind, glow, and company you would need to sustain you for the evening.
For now, you were free to feel alive.

author's note. i hope this fic was able to offer you some fresh air. go on and take a deep breath!
on a more personal note, crow, last night i found myself listening to "letters of resignation" while working on a playlist (as one does on christmas eve) and i got hit with a powerful wave of nostalgia. this summer i took a weekend trip across the province with someone who was my best friend, and this was one of the albums i put on. i still feel the sunlight that shone through the windshield as i drove us down the summit highway to "revelations 21:8." i know i've mentioned this trip to you before but truly, listening to this album back then is still a dear memory to me even after how things have changed. thanks for contributing your awesome music taste and kindness to my life, crow.

im not sure if you'll do this but can you write a dva emotionally neglecting you because of her streams?
ℕ𝕖𝕘𝕝𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕗𝕦𝕝
Tumblr media
Words: 256
Very open ended, letting you lot choose the ending. [I couldn't like how to end it.]
“Oh Hana~”
You didn’t get a response, which was weird since she would normally yell them back. So you peeked into her room only to see the back of her chair, the edges of her headphones showed from the side.
From the months dating her you’ve been made clear on how much her chat loves you, they also made this crystal clear to D.Va. Who will milk this, normally pulling you to entertain them when needed. But right now?
She just brushed them off, somehow not realizing you were in the room.
“Hana.”
Your stern tone seemed to be heard by everyone else, who tried to tell her. But alas, she wasn’t listening or looking. Causing you to eventually leave, if the stream is so important, so be it.
ᴠᴏʟᴜᴍᴇ : ▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯
Soon enough months had passed, and your anniversary date rolled around. For months in advance you had the day all planned out, let her sleep in before waking her with a nice breakfast in bed.
Only to find she wasn’t even at home, instead going on a spontaneous meet and greet trip. Leaving you all alone with multiple reservations, no one to go with. Once again.
It’s not like you hated her streaming, which you didn’t. Both of you enjoyed it but it seemed recently that's all she did, also only playing either by herself, with fans or MEKA. Which leaves you to do anything else but spend time with her. This cycle continues on for months.
A cycle you plan on ending soon.

i remember back in the day seeing fanart of zenyatta hanging out with dva cuz they were the youngest heroes in the game, can uou write something like that? where dva finds out zen is 20 and is like "do you want to form an alliance with me?" (i desperately need him to have more friends anyways love your stuff)
Hana hardly ever got to just walk around Gibraltar. Usually when things had gone quiet enough at the Watchpoint and there was no immediate danger to go flying off to, that was when she'd head back to Busan for however long she might have to check in with the Meka squad and Dae-hyun, or she'd be hosting a stream--but today she was too burnt out for either of that. Unfortunately here she was standing, in her silly little bucket hat and sunglasses (for celebrity anonymity of course) and feeling that old anxiety of A stream wouldn't be that much energy, what am I even doing here? But the sheer unfamiliarity of Gibraltar's streets more or less answered the question for her--she had barely gotten the chance to get outside since joining Overwatch, and she had been pouring virtually all of her free time into maintaining her online presence. Usually Lúcio would be her wingman for a day out like this, but he was taking care of some business back in Rio--could she have volunteered to help out with that? No.. no... she was supposed to be taking a break. She sullenly sipped her grass jelly milk tea as she walked down the street, and then held her free hand in front of herself, watching her own fingers twitch unconsciously, constantly expecting all those split-second reactions either gaming or piloting would demand. She sighed into the straw, sending up a grumpy burble of bubbles amidst the cubes of grass jelly and ice.
I could go shopping, she thought to herself, I'm pretty sure I've been cycling through the same four outfits for my streams since coming to Gibraltar and that's not good for--oh my god, I'm still thinking about the streams.
She slumped her back against a building, rocking back on her heels as she drew in another long sip, trying to clear her mind and just people-watch. It was a wonder how Gibraltar still managed to have so many tourists despite how many of the locals were freaked out by the Watchpoint. Hana paused mid-sip as she saw a single, familiar figure standing in front of a shop window. The shiny chrome-dome of an omnic donning some well-worn monk's clothing. Zenyatta was standing, hands clasped behind his back like an old man, staring into a shop window. The sun was glaring on the glass from her angle, so she made her way over to see what he was looking at. She blinked several times and glanced back at Zen, unsuccessfully trying to gauge his expression before looking back to the window display. In the window was a mannequin posing in a stylish jogger-inspired outfit that honestly wasn't a far cry from the hardy, lovingly draped styles of the Shambali. It featured a cropped jacket with somewhat bulky pockets on the chest, and high-waisted pants that cinched at the ankles, all in a warm fallow tone. Holos on the glass flashed "NEW" and "SALE" and "100% SUSTAINABLE AND FAIR-TRADE MATERIALS." She looked at Zen again.
A longing, yet thoughtful, "Hmm..." slipped out of Zen.
"So... are you going to try it on?" said Hana folding her arms.
Zen visibly startled. "Oh--My apologies, Hana, I was lost in thought. What did you mean?"
"The outfit you've been staring at," Hana shrugged, "I mean you have the waist for it."
"Really?" Zenyatta glanced back at the window display, then seemed to catch himself. "I--" Zenyatta hesitated, "I was merely admiring it. Obviously I have no need for such a... such..." he trailed off, still staring at the
"Come on," Hana tugged him by the elbow into the store.
---
"I don't carry money," Zenyatta said from inside the dressing room.
"Don't worry about it," said Hana, leafing through a clothes rack herself.
"Omnics don't need to eat or drink, and our requirements for shelter are more... minimal.. than humans."
"Uh huh," D.Va pulled a shirt off the rack and examined it. Truth be told, the clothes here were a bit too 'hippie' or 'military surplus' or 'military surplus hippie' to be her style, and it wasn't exactly Meka's sleek, sporty brand, either--You're doing it again... she thought to herself.
"Is there something you wished to talk about?" asked Zenyatta.
"Not really," Hana shrugged, "I mostly came out here to clear my head. And it's easier to shop with someone than just shop alone."
"I see," said Zenyatta, "And how are you doing in that endeavor?"
"Shopping?" Hana held up a faded blue sleeveless shirtdress skeptically.
"Clearing your mind," Zenyatta spoke up from inside the dressing room.
"You know you don't have to do that all the time, right?" Hana grinned.
"I don't understand."
"Do the whole... counselor thing with everyone."
"I believe caring about one's allies is not limited to one's duty to a team. I can care about you as an individual, Hana."
D.Va snorted. "Are you going to show me the outfit or not?" she put one hand on her hip.
The dressing room door swung open and Zenyatta carefully stepped out, smoothing the jacket and slightly readjusting the waistband of the pants. Hana's eyes widened. He really did have the
"...okay you can't not get that," she said, gesturing at the outfit with her drink.
"I am quite capable of not getting it as I do not carry money," said Zenyatta.
"Psh. No problem," said Hana with a shrug, "Meka has like, a CRAZY line of credit and I'm so bad at remembering to use it. I'll just buy it for you!"
"As a monk, I must embrace a life of humility and simplicity, and it is not within my --" Zenyatta started, but realized Hana was giving him a raised eyebrow, 'come on' look. "I... suppose... it would be more outside of my beliefs as a monk to refuse a gift from a friend."
Hana snorted a little.
"Thank you, Hana, truly," Zenyatta gave a slight bow of his head.
"It's not a big deal... Hana said, glancing off and itching at her cheek with a fingernail.
He wore it out of the store, and got more than a few glances and rubbernecks as he and Hana walked together. His shoulders bunched up as someone wolf-whistled from across the street. Hana just snickered. It was fun seeing someone else snag a lot of attention for once.
"I told ya you have the waist for it," Hana elbowed him.
"Quite remarkable," Zenyatta fidgeted with the cuffs of the jacket.
"Well, you have good taste," she tossed her drink in a nearby trashcan.
"I was reflecting more of the fact that, despite the fact that you said you were taking time for yourself today, you went out of your way to do something kind for someone else."
"It's just a little bit of shopping! It's not a big deal," Hana pocketed her hands.
"You did not answer my question, earlier," Zenyatta glanced toward her. It was already a little off-putting seeing him walking rather than floating, and the fact that he was taller than her when standing only compounded that.
"What question?"
"About your experience in clearing your mind."
Hana huffed. "Of course you're still hung up on that."
"Naturally. I care about my friend."
Hana gave him a frustrated pout before interlacing her fingers behind her head and sighing. "I'm really bad at it, honestly."
"Oh?"
"I keep thinking about the Meka squad, or maybe that I could be running diagnostics on Tokki and sending notes back to Dae-hyun, or maybe I could be streaming and telling my fans that Overwatch is doing a good job--we're doing a good job, right?"
Zenyatta shrugged.
"So I'm thinking about all that even though I'm just supposed to be here, and I'm just supposed to be having a good time, and then I just--I just bullied you into getting a tracksuit just to distract myself!"
"You bought this tracksuit," Zenyatta offered, "And I do appreciate it, greatly."
"Hrmgh," Hana folded her elbows forward from her interlaced fingers with exasperation.
"From the sound of it, however, it would seem that you do have a great awareness of your own thoughts," he mused.
"Eh?" Hana glanced at him.
"Well, when most think of honing one's mental focus, of clearing one's mind, the typical image is of the monk on the mountaintop in perfect concentration."
"You mean... you," Hana said with a slight finger-gun gesture.
"Possibly. But to ask the mind not to think is to ask a fish not to swim. Even the electrical brain of an omnic is constantly running multiple algorithms simply to maintain our systems and our sensory intake."
"So what's the trick?"
"...what you have been doing all afternoon--noticing when your mind is going in a direction you don't want it to go, and course-correcting."
Hana stared at him for a few seconds. "That's it?"
"That's it," Zenyatta shrugged.
"No--no--no--there's gotta be more," Hana scratched under the brim of her bucket hat.
"Well.. to make it easier, you can come up with a mantra."
"Okay, there it is," said Hana.
"'Mantra' simply translates to 'mind tool.' It is only a short phrase you employ to re-center yourself when you find your thoughts wandering beyond your control."
"Right. 'Om.'"
"It doesn't have to be 'om.'"
"It doesn't?"
"It can be virtually any phrase that emphasizes that this space within your mind is a space you can return to for peace and clarity. It can be something you associate with a good memory, or simply a phrase that comforts you to hear, or something that is unique enough to break you out of negative thought patterns."
"Liiiike... 'grass jelly tea?'" Hana was winding a strand of hair around her finger thoughtfully.
"If that is what works. The mind is wonderfully unique, is it not?"
"Yeah..." Hana said, glancing off. A few long seconds passed before she suddenly perked up. "You did it again," she said, pouting.
"Hm?"
"You don't have to keep doing it, you know!" Hana splayed her hands, pacing in front of Zenyatta.
"...talking to you?" Zenyatta tilted his head.
"Yeah--I mean no--I mean yeah--I mean we can just hang out! You don't need to be doing all the... 'meditation mantra training' thing!"
"No, but... I do very much appreciate your curiosity. And it makes me happy to offer advice to my friend."
"Well yeah, but--" Hana huffed. "Do you ever turn off?"
"Omnics can enter a low-power mode," Zenyatta said blithely.
"I mean the whole selfless, self-sacrificing thing," Hana said flatly.
"I could ask you the same thing," Zenyatta responded, "I suppose we could simply both learn to course-correct together."
----
About a week and a half had passed since that day, and Zenyatta was quietly meditating in one of his favorite spots on the watchpoint cliffs overlooking the sea. He heard someone clear their throat behind him and glanced over his shoulder.
"Uh--hey," Hana gave an awkward wave. "Room for one more?"
Zenyatta wordlessly scooted to one side and Hana plopped down next to him. She closed her eyes and took a long steady breath.
"Grass jelly tea," she said, very quietly to herself, "Grass jelly tea..."
She opened one eye at Zenyatta, expectantly.
"You're doing fine," said Zenyatta, "Though, of course, you are a better judge of your own thoughts than I am. Your mantra is your companion. It is not a bludgeon against your other thoughts."
"Okay, okay, okay--" Hana shut both her eyes and took another deep breath. "Grass jelly tea..." she said again.
"Hana?" Zenyatta spoke up.
"What? What am I doing wrong? It's the mantra. I knew it. The mantra's dumb, isn't it?"
"I like your mantra," said Zenyatta, "I simply wished to say that I watched your stream last night, and I enjoyed it greatly. It is wonderful to see how loved you are by your fans."
Hana blinked a few times. "Th-thanks... you could join the next one, if you want."
"That would be interesting..." said Zenyatta, "Now--as we were?"
Hana took another deep breath and settled where she was seated. "Grass jelly tea..." she said again.

Lee Winters, Kris Bryant and Melissa Tereze are just a few lesbian writers that write rich/dominant older woman stuff (I personally don’t enjoy their stuff as it’s very basic, bland writing and with the last author straight up smut with little plot which I need to get invested) but if you want adult normie lesbian writing that isn’t the usual soft queer lesbian shit this is it. For slightly better lesbian romance in color, there’s Meka James’ Being Hospitable series as well as Mangos and Mistletoe by Adriana Herrera who writes a whole bunch of sweet but not watered down lesbian stuff. When I first came out i was reading anything lesbian and these aren’t winning any major book awards lol but they’re all strictly about female characters and exactly what they say on the tin plot wise.
I'll check out the rest! BEING HOSPITABLE IS THE SHIT! It is so fucking sexy, I've read it a million times, many times I just skipped to the sex scenes because I know the plot. Mangos and Mistletoe is very cute because I relate to it a lot. The rest I will have to google. I don't need it to be dom/bsdm stuff, because more than pissed off at the abuse of women, I just cringe at Bdsm practices and terminology. Good sex isn't totally rehearsed joyless and painful. But I love an older woman, I love a bit of toxic intensity, fictional cheating (real cheating makes me want to kill), love is my drug type of MESS and DRAMA.

I'm been so active with my scenarios that i surprise myself. Here is yet another!
Have you finished the current event storyline? I skipped all dialogue BUT stopped at the very end and i must admit those couple of lines were all that matters.
They. Are making. Harbingers-inspired. Toys.
Okay. I'm going crazy just at a thought of Reader buying these. This Ask would become far too long if i put all Harbingers here, so imma do my favs!
~~~
Dottore walked to Reader's room to make sure they took their daily medicine. The first thing he sees is you sneakily stuffing something underneath the pillows. He gets suspicious and demands to show whatever that is immediately.
... Why do you have a plushie of him?
Zandik has more questions than answers when he picks up the toy. Reader explains that they bought it from the local market which just received an import of Fontainian toys. Upon closer inspection, Dottie realizes that the toy craftsmanship is exquisite and it's not exactly a plushie, but rather a clockwork meka mechanism with only a couple of parts covered by soft fabric. All sharp points were polished, metal is durable and high-quality. His curiosity is piqued and he'd love to tear it apart and find out how it was made, but Reader protests immediately, snatching the toy from him protectively. Welps. Fine, you get to keep it. You can play with it when he is away on a mission or all of his Segments are busy. His heart always melts when he finds Reader taking a nap, their arm clutching the toy close to their chest. Zandik can't help but feel a bit envious - why would you cuddle a piece of metal when you have him? >:(
~~~
Childe returned home and the first thing that caught his attention was a loud noise of arguing upstairs. When he arrives to the scene, he is both confused, curious and amused. Reader and Teucer are having a tug of war over a toy? That's a first - you two usually get along perfectly.
Upon taking a closer look, he notices that they are fighting over a toy that looks just like him. Childe quickly separates them by taking the toy away and while they say their "sorry" to one another, he takes a good look at the cause of commotion. For his surprise, that IS a toy representing him. Reader explains that they took Teucer shopping and came across this store that sold toys based on....... Snezhnaya's best toy salesmen and saleswomen. Unfortunately, there was only one Childe left in stock. After returning home, the two got into an argument who it belongs to.
Childe cannot help but laugh at the situation and makes a deal that the two of them make a schedule: Teucer gets to play with it for one hour, then passes it for the Reader to play with for another hour, and so on.
Little did you know, Childe went to the same store the very same day and made a pre-order. Less than a week later, Reader, all three young siblings and even Childe himself had a clockwork meka toy of the best salesman in Snezhnaya!
~~~
I wish i could write Columbina, Arlecchino and Pantalone as well (heck, i'd love to do all of the Harbingers HMPH) but yeah 😅 I managed to zone-out midway writing this and now i don't remember what i wanted to write for these three so... Maybe next time!
Hope you have a pleasant day/evening/night~
- 🐺
Harbinger stans are so funny, we see a random NPC mention the mere word of them and all of a sudden we're going crazy (it's me, i'm Harbinger stans)
LMAO DOTTORE 😭 You've never been good at hiding things from him unfortunately... and of course you have to give in eventually, embarrassingly enough showing him a toy you blew your Mora on (well spent though!) Dot shares your enthusiasm for the toy... just not the same type. You do not want him to open it up like a Ruin Guard and then get bored with it and leave it disassembled like his countless other projects! 😒 He lets it go... but he also can't help but wonder out of all Harbingers, why he was chosen for a toy. It must be that damn banker's scheme...
He does find your affection for the toy a bit cute... at first. Though he was interested in it at first, he's growing to resent it a bit... is it really all that fun to play with. Not to mention... he could totally make a better toy if he tried, the one you have would pale in comparison to his masterpiece! ... He doesn't say that out loud, though. Though you might find a better mechanism on your desk later down the line in hopes you discard that one to the side.
I don't think i could ever argue with baby Teucer he's far too precious 😭 He can have all the toys he wants I'll just ask my rich bf (Childe 🤭) to buy it later with his no doubt plentiful connections lmao. No doubt he's the kind of guy to buy out the whole stock and then give it to everyone in his family, and the neighborhood kids who adore him too 🥺 Bina would be ALL over this toy lmao she'd love it! But she'd also want a toy made of you so she can put them together in her room and make them hold hands <3 Arlecchino wouldn't care much... until she finds out you brought a few for the children to play with as well. For Pantalone... you know that man already knew it was being developed he's all in the market for it and everything, he's getting that Mora I'm telling you 😭 He'd get one for you too of course ❤️ Capitano is the kinda guy who would play with it in private... (just don't show it more attention than any of them)
dae-hyun was happy to see you, not just because he wasn't going to be taking care of the huge amounts of workload that was placed on him but because a friend was back who is gonna stay behind while the others are out on scouting missions. he told you all about how annoying everyone became during their recovery, that every day there were fights between captain myung and the pilots who refused to stand down and let the military handle the attacks.
then he went on and on about your girlfriends asking all the time about you and how you were. dae-hyun was in the dark, just as everyone else since captain myung forbade you from talking to anyone that was connected to the exo-force. the reasons stayed unclear for you and you could only comply with her orders. you revealed to him even if you wanted to connect any of them you couldn't because two days into your send off you were tailed after the extension was issued. not wanting to jeopardize anyone here on base you spent your time away from korea, trying to mend your broken heart that yearned to see your girlfriends face to face and not just on the picture tucked away in your wallet.
then he went on and on about your girlfriends asking all the time about you and how you were. dae-hyun was in the dark, just as everyone else since captain myung forbade you from talking to anyone that was connected to the exo-force. the reasons stayed unclear for you and you could only comply with her orders. you revealed to him even if you wanted to connect any of them you couldn't because two days into your send off you were tailed after the extension was issued. not wanting to jeopardize anyone here on base you spent your time away from korea, trying to mend your broken heart that yearned to see your girlfriends face to face and not just on the picture tucked away in your wallet.
so when captain myung made the announcement to the pilots that you were back, hana came running, jumping into your arms with yuna following her. not in jumping, but rather just walking up to you and giving you one of her seductive hugs.
soon after hana climbed off of you, yelling at you for going away and not fighting hard enough to stay she shared a look with yuna, one that you did not recognize. suddenly, you were walking between them down the corridors that lead you to your room, their arms looped with yours while asking about how your break was.
then it hit you, it was the same situation before your mandatory time off started.
it was like skipping the smaller briefings, which was always fun, going over to d.va's pink room to play video games with her while yuna was murmuring on the bed behind the two of you how much trouble the three of you are gonna be in. or going to d.mon's massive room to play some card games after she forced d.va and you to attend it, joined by the boys. or sometimes if all three of you felt like it you visited your room which was more isolated than theirs. it was on the other side of the base, far away from everything and everyone.
and you were nothing but a prize for them to have, a pretty gift to unwrap before having all the fun they have planned for a while. you always dressed for them, no day went by that you didn't dress up for someone else other than the two MEKA pilots. yuna's favorite was always the short skirts you paired with the lower-cut shirts you had while hana enjoy those thigh-high stockings and your little laced panties she picked out for you, telling you to send her pictures before and after putting them on.
"don't be so rough with her yuna, she already came twice. you are leaving me nothing!"
hana whined, shaking yuna by the shoulders to get her out of you but she just continued to ram into you, feverishly so, chasing her own high. hana was desperate to have you all messy just with her tongue, eat you out while her delicate hands caressed the plush of your thighs. she knew she shouldn't have let yuna have your pretty hole first, she knew the older girl would enjoy having her strap filling you too much and wouldn't let hana eat you all up like she likes to.
"mommy's girl is back, she is treating her baby with a nice welcome-back gift."
because yuna who always got your soft hands to rub her, or your pretty mouth to suck her clit and barely had an opportunity to stuff you because of how hana monopolized your pussy for herself. she was deep inside you this time, bottoming out on your when she feels she is almost on the edge, and as much as she wishes she was able to come inside you, that was something she couldn't afford and so she had to settle on watching as your cum pooled around the deep red toy inside of you while her own slick ran her thighs.
"you just sit back or on her face, let me have some more fun."
you could barely make out what they were saying, and you weren't even sure if you put the right words in the right places- your head was buzzing, and your sight was foggy by the way of your inside trembling and the pace yuna was pounding into you.
hana wasted no time complaining anymore, encasing your head with her thighs and lowering her pussy on your lips, her clit dangerously close to your nose while her fingers raked through your messy hair. you were so fucked out already, she had to support your head the slightest and grind against your face. but it was no problem, your tongue was working just fine as you stuck it out and push it inside her slobbering cunt.
"maybe we can have this set up for a while~"
the younger girl moaned above you, her clipped and painted nails clawing into your scalp as she rolled against your face. you were mindlessly lapping up her juices, your hands stupidly searching for her hips to grip at as yuna abused your drenched hole.
your doe eyes stare up at hana, tears forming on the edges of your eyelids as your pussy sucks yuna's strap in, broken sobs choked away by hana's sweet slick. the younger pilot frees one of her hands and wipes your tear away with her thumb before bringing it up to her mouth to suck the salty drops off.
"don't be like that, bunny... you are doing so good."
she cooed, caressing the thin skin under your eyes. a second of clarity comes to you, the fog clearing out of your vision just enough to see the red face of hana's smiling down at you and you feel disappointed, you are here suffocating between her thighs, yet there is little sound coming from her. you tilt your head the slightest up, your nose brushing against hana's clit while your tongue sneaks further into her. your eyes fixated on hana's perky breasts, bouncing up and down in the skin-tight pink crop top, her hard nipples poking at the fabric.
but all the while you were oh so focused on fitting the whole length of your tongue inside hana, her moans and gasps of pleasure fueled the hot fire burning within yuna. she was so focused on wanting to fill you up, to have you so full you might just explode from the inside out that she forgot that tasting you is far far better than making your mind spin on this stupid phallic piece of plastic.
so she pulled out of you, quickly plugging you back with her fingers while she tried to shake the strap-on off of her hips to comfortably kneel at the end of the bed. as to whatever sound you let out when she emptied you remained a mystery to her as hana's folds were filling your mouth and her moans while reaching her high dulled them even further.
yuna gazed at your glistening core as she lowered her head to level with it, pulling her fingers out of you before starting to place kisses on your inner thighs, moving just a little closer each time. her eyes kept watching your lower lips, watching as your cum dripped onto the sheet and left a wet spot behind. pride bloomed in the pilot's chest and with one last sloppy kiss, sucking and biting lightly on the plush of your thigh she pushed her tongue into your folds. yuna hummed in delight as she eagerly licked every inch of your slick core. she left no place untouched, pushing her tongue flat against your clit ever so often, wanting to feel your legs shake on her shoulders. she slipped two of her fingers inside with next to no resistance into you, her mind starting to feel numb as your walls clenched around her, sucking her deeper.
the combination of the two sensations was almost too much for you. you were seeing stars right before your world exploded in a brilliant flash of ecstasy and bliss. in your last moment of lucidity, you muttered their names, your hands waving to catch one of theirs by any chance.
yuna's finger curled, pressing against the spot that sent you over the edge in a matter of moments. she knew she found the spot when you gasped and arched your back, hips thrusting into her. you were already on edge before, it was a matter of a few flat strokes of yuna's tongue against your clit before your delicious nectar spilled into yuna's mouth and smeared all over the lower part of her face. you gasped and whined, clawing at the already messed up sheets as your brains were spilling out through your pussy.
"isn't she tasty, hm?"
hana asked the older pilot as she resurfaced from between your thighs after thoroughly licking you, not wasting any drop of your sweet juices. yuna nodded before sticking her tongue out to clean the corner of her lips, hand caressing your tummy while you tried regaining your breath.
"delightful, a death row meal worth."
yuna grinned at hana, offering her drenched digits to the younger girl who eagerly took her by the wrist and wrapped her lips around them. the older pilot chuckled, biting her lower lips, trying to hold back a stray whine that hana's tongue tried to pull from her.
"enough of fooling around, we all deserve a hot bath, especially our sweetheart."
you muttered a chain of thank you's to the two of them as they helped you up on your feet and lead you to the bathroom. your tired eyes trying to find theirs, the faintest smile pulling on your face as you senselessly continued to follow every word of theirs.
I ran into a bit of a dilemma in writing this. I realized that a lot of you probably would be able to get into the role of you were called “GLaDOS”, so here’s the plan. I tried my hardest to not have to use (y/n), but me thinks I’m gonna have to. The actual operating system will be called “GLaDOS”, but you yourself will be called (y/n). You’re replacing Caroline & GLaDOS. There will be a little surprise - since this is my ver of Portal (AKA throwing Portal into Genshin), so you’ll be introduced as (y/n)! If this ruins the experience, please let me know, and I’ll come up with something different! ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა
Also! GORE WARNING!!!! THERE WILL BE GORE!! I’ll post a warning right before it starts and a little thing for where it ends!! ☆૮꒰ˊᗜˋ* ꒱ა
Finding out one of your islands is being used for things unknown is not something you want to wake up too.
But unfortunately, that was what Miss. Raiden Ei was subjected to this morning.
The apparent “island” wasn’t even actually an island. It looked like a small plot of land, with it’s only inhabitant being an old bot that resembled a Fontainian Meka - which was still active and very dangerous - and what looked to be some kind of small, one person hut. But when the fishermen who had found this island somehow managed to enter the hut, they found it actually housed a long, winding staircase that plummeted into the earth.
So of course this news was sent straight to Ei. As the Archon, anything that went on in her Nation’s boundaries that wasn’t documented was immediately brought up to her for investigation. In any other case she would have told the Tenryou Commission to take care of it or otherwise, but seeing as this was seemingly more than just a “island descending into the depths” - the fishermen also reported strange noises coming from below - this seemed like it would need to be handled with a more… direct touch.
Gathering her wits, she made a small “exploration team”. This team consisted of:
1. The Traveler, because why wouldn’t it
2. Kujo Sara, her loyalty will be of use
3. Maillardet, she had heard of his helping with the Icewind Suite Meka. His expertise may be needed.
And finally, though unfortunately,
4. Dottore.
As much as she may have detested the Fatui and their methods, she couldn’t deny they got results. And on top of that she had heard of his experiments on that of Ruin Guards, which again may be needed.
After making her plans and sending off letters to all she believed she may need, the Shogun began to wait.
It was dark in the Aperture Science building. Though it wasn’t silent. After word from the singular guard at one of many openings alerted human sightings after… years of nothing, you had to admit something inside you was excited.
It was in human and monster nature to be curious of the unknown. And with all the years since your last… nuisance test subject, you figured that Aperture may have been - more likely was - forgotten by those above.
You rapidly repaired test room after test room, rebuilding the facility to the best of your current abilities. Which wasn’t much a problem, because due to the lack of human error, you were able to keep the place up and running with extreme precision.
It looked just like when Aperture was first built.
With different power sources from every nation, keeping powered on was never an issue. The location that had been found by humans was the one that was powered by the never ending lightning storm that surrounded the nation of Inazuma.
The strikes of Electro traveled through the water into sensors placed on the ocean floor, that changed the pure Electro into actual electricity that was then used to power the specific part of Aperture Science that was stationed below it.
The real facility spanned all across Teyvat.
This was only the beginning.
And your cold heart was more than ready for this coming future.
“I am shocked than and Archon such as yourself has called for me.”
All heads in the room turned to face the masked male.
Kujo immediately summoned her bow and pointed it at the man, while Traveler did the same with his sword. Poor Maillardet only ran behind the armed female, clutching her skirt.
Kujo glanced at him before pushing all attention back on Dottore.
“Please lower your weapons.” Heads whipped to look at the sullen voice of Ei.
“I asked him to be here. Please do not make this experience more difficult than it already may be.” Even she seemed… less than enthused by her actions, but the sudden silence- to soak up her words - was interrupted by the man in question’s laughter.
“And how shocked I was when The Tsaritsa said the Electro Archon herself had asked for my assistance in a ‘pressing matter’! Please, do listen to her and try to not make this difficult?” His grin unwavering. Aether scoffed and Kujo only huffed a small ‘Yes, my Shogun’, before turning to her backseat passenger who hadn’t moved since Dottore’s appearance.
“… What?” The brunette asked. Then he sighed. “Just because I build fighters doesn’t mean I myself can fight, Madame.” He quickly pushed himself off her and dusted both her and him off.
With one more sigh, Ei stood.
“Let us not waste anymore time. There is an odd island off the coast of Amakane Island. On it is a single individual that resembles a Fontainian Meka, and a hut. The odd thing being that this hut holds a staircase that “plummets into the earth”, so say my sources.” She then looked at the Doctor.
“Have your men done anything to this island?” It was a fair question.
It wouldn’t be odd for the Fatui to have a lab or something of the sort in a Nation without the Archon or Nation’s knowledge. In fact, it wouldn’t be the first time. Though - again - Dottore only laughed again.
“No, Miss. Ei. We haven’t any labs that “plummet into the earth”, as you say.” Kujo flinched at him not referring to her Archon by her title, but before she could do anything, she was stopped by a look from said Archon.
“Thank you for being honest,” she hummed, “Then we best be off. Who knows what we shall find and who knows how long we may be.” And she started off.
Following behind her was everyone but Maillardet, who looked confused.
“No equipment? No food provisions?” He glanced a guard who was stationed at a door nearby who shrugged. They both sighed and spoke in unison.
“Vision holders…”
Making their way to Amakane Island was easy enough. Making their way to the unnamed island was also easy.
The Meka that was guarding the small hut was… tall, to say the least.
“It looks vaguely like a Suppression Specialist Mek mixed with an Assault Specialist Mek…” Maillardet muttered, causing Dottore’s head to whip in his direction.
“So nothing you’ve seen before?” He mused, causing the Fontainian to glare at him.
“No.” He huffed, “It isn’t.” Dottore smirked at that answer.
“Then we have an unknown Meka on our hands? Perhaps made by someone outside of Fontaine-“ “No.” Maillardet interrupted.
“It still has hints of Fontainian handiwork. The way you can see some gears and cogs, as well as the fact that it’s utilizing Fontaine gun tech. It very well could be imbued with Arkeh energy. If I had to guess, Ousia.”
Everyone stared at the man, who blushed.
“What I’m trying to say,” he breathed, “Is that while it’s not any Meka I’ve ever seen, it’s definitely made by Fontainian hands. Sir Aether should know how to deal with it effectively.” Dottore stared at the man.
Aether nodded and jumped off the boat they all currently inhabited, and began to attack. The others stayed back and watched as he gracefully dodged attacks and fought back.
Though, in a sudden switch of attack, the bullets firing from the cannon on its arm changed to Electro-Charged pellets of water. The sudden swap shocked Aether and the Mek was able to land a few solid hits on the man.
Getting fed up, Kujo stood to fight, but Ei held her back.
“Those are Electro-Charged attacks.” “I understand Shogun but-“ “No. We’d only make things worse.” With a huff, the tengu sat down, glaring at the Doctor who dared to chuckle.
The fight continued on for a few more minutes before Aether came out triumphant. As the Mek collapsed, a voice rung out from its destroyed body.
“Warn…ing…Intruders At….Inazuma Ent…rance…Access Not Given…Send Warning To GL…a…” Before finally collapsing. Aether stood overtop its corpse before turning to the others.
“Well… I suppose we can continue onward?” Maillardet questioned, only to be met with everyone else in the boat jumping out onto dry land, once more leaving him behind.
The man grumbled as he slowly pulled himself out the boat, soaking his boots and pants.
By the time he made it, everyone but Dottore had made their way into the hut, on their way down.
“After you.” The bluenette grinned, and Maillardet shuddered.
And then they all made their decent.
While the staircase itself was long and narrow, surrounded on all sides by pipes and cogs, what they found at the bottom was truly a sight; though they had been going down for a while.
A large open space - like a courtyard. There was artificial sunlight that streamed in from the panels on the ceiling that simulated a blue sky. False grass and trees swayed in a deceptive breeze. A ‘building’ sat before them with glass doors. It was grey and unassuming, the words “Aperture Science Laboratories” was in big lettering above the doors in big, illuminated lighting.
“Incredible…” Dottore mumbled as the group began to make their way down a path that led from the staircase to the building.
Just then, a sharp creaking noise was heard, and the staircase they had just traversed began to retract. It slowly made its way upward, lifting off the ground. Without flinching, Kujo summoned her bow and knocked an arrow, looking for a place to shoot. Finding a button near the staircase labeled ‘emergency shut down’, she shot, hitting it head on.
“Sudden Power Surge Detected At: Inazuma Docking Station. Rerouting Power Surge To Backup Power Supply’s. Emergency Dock Closing System: Initiated.”
And with that, the stairs shot up, effectively sealing the group inside.
“Sorry, Shogun…” was the only thing that left the now embarrassed Kujo’s lips.
“Worry not, I am sure we’ll find another exit eventually. Let us continue forth.” And onward they went.
Walking down the path, Dottore noted that there were hills far beyond the little building before them, fading off into the distance.
“I wonder how long this facility stretches out?..” He wondered aloud. Maillardet grumbled under his breath.
“Hopefully not that far…”
Entering the building they were met with something none of them - minus Dottore - had experienced.
Fluorescent lighting.
The light outside had at least been convincing, but the buzzing overhead and the slight flickering was enough to get under everyone’s - again, minus Dottore’s - skin.
“Whatever is this awful-“
“Welcome, gentleman, to Aperture Science. Humans, Vision Holders, War-Hero’s, Hybrids — you’re here because we want the best, and you’re it. Now, who’s ready to make some science?”
Weapons were immediately drawn from hearing the unusual voice.
“Who dared cut of The Shogun-“
“Now, you already met one another on the boat ride over, so let me introduce myself. I’m Cave Johnson. I own the place.”
Kujo growled.
“Well, Mr. “Cave Johnson”, I recommend you reveal yourself before we-“
“Mr. Johnson! I believe you’re forgetting something..? Or rather, someone..?”
All heads turned to the wall length screen that turned on with the new voice.
They were met with a cartoonish figure of a person, though their head was replaced by the grey, circle logo of Aperture. They were dressed in a white button up with a black vest overtop. With pure black dress pants and black dress shoes. A snow white lab coat over their shoulders and pure white gloves on their hands. The only hint of color or their person was an orange tie.
Dottore was the first to walk over, pressing a gloved hand to the screen.
“This is all absolutely incredible…” he spoke with a grin.
Nobody noticed how the figure flinched away.
“That eager voice you heard is the lovely (y/n), my assistant. They were added as a safety protocol in case some of you get lost. There are screens all of Aperture where they can keep a close eye on you, to make sure you stay in one piece, or at least as close to one piece as we can get you. Now, rest assured, they have transferred your honorarium to the charitable organization of your choice, isn’t that right, (y/n)?”
The figure on the screen - now known as (y/n) - nodded. Or… nodded as best a 2D model may be able to nod.
“That’s right, Mr. Johnson.”
“Since their addition, they have been the backbone of this facility. Pretty as a postcard too. Sorry fellas, they’re married. To science.”
They watched as you walked over on the “screens”, trotting all the way over to a pair of double doors. With one arm behind you, you held an open palm in the direction of said doors.
“Now, if you just follow them, they’ll take you right to the testing sites.”
With that small tidbit of information, the group reluctantly walked their way over to the doors. Pushing through them, they watched as you faded on the other side. Only for the walls of the hallway surrounding them to light up with bright white light, and for you to be on their right side, walking down the hall on your screens.
“There’s a thousand tests performed everyday here in our enrichment spheres. I can’t personally oversee every single one of them, so these pre-recorded messages’ll cover any questions you might have, and respond to any incidents that may occur in the course of your science adventure!”
You continued walking down the long hall, it slowly dipping further and further into the earth, but not to an alarming degree. A tune played throughout the hall, your head bobbing to the beat.
“Recorded..?” Ei asked. She turned to Kujo and Aether, who both shrugged. She then turned to Maillardet who muttered a quick ‘I’ve heard of it… that’s all…’ then looked away. Finally she looked towards Dottore.
“… Recordings are a rather new technology I’ve discovered. It’s a lost technique from long ago, the act of taking the waves of one’s voice down onto a physical form - such as a disk or a vinyl - and relaying those waves through a certain machine to recreate noises. I’ve been able to get my hands on a few, but to find one of such large scale, with moving images to boot! If I can get my hands on whatever is relaying these recordings…” His voice toned back when he realized he was walking alone.
Turning back he noticed that everyone had stopped behind him, confusion written all over their faces. He groaned, slapping a hand over his eyes before dragging it down the side of his face.
“It refers to something hearing noise, then relaying it at a later time when prompted.” And on they continued. It took a moment to catch up to you, as you had continued on your merry way while they had been stopped.
When they made it, Cave Johnson began speaking again.
“Your test assignments will vary, depending on the manner in which you have bent the world to your will.”
They finally made it to the end of the hall, with double doors greeting them. The doors opened automatically, opening to a large space, akin to an auditorium. Doors led off to different halls, each closed off by double doors that were identical to the ones they just came through. The room was surrounded by the Aperture logo, with small tables set up with small experiments on them. Walking past, Maillardet’s eyes glanced at a potato battery.
The most obvious thing in the room were the blue and yellow lines on the floor that each led to another room. You popped up again on a few overhead screens, though now you were sitting at a desk, typing away. You occasionally took a sip from a grey cup.
“Those of you helping us test the repulsion gel today, just follow the blue lines on the floor. Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA I’ve got some good news and some bad news.”
Lights lit up over the blue lines and your figure changed to a looping recording of you walking on the lines and through the door.
“Injected with praying mantis DNA… why would you ever..?” Maillardet wondered with a grimace, while Dottore only smirked.
“I think me and this Mr. Johnson may have something in common. Anything in the name of science.” His grin made Aether shiver.
“Can we please just move on?” The blonde growled. He turned to the two females, only to find Kujo trying to open another door with Ei beside her.
“What are you doing..?” He asked. The General exhaled before turning back to the group.
“Trying to find another way out. Why are we even listening to this Cave Johnson person? We don’t know who he is, we don’t know where he is, we don’t even know what he looks like.” She walked over to another set of doors and tugged.
“She has a point.” Said Ei. “But in that same breath, we don’t know where we are either. The only thing pushing us forward is the voice of Mr. Johnson.” She placed a hand on the tengu’s shoulder.
“I feel it may be in our best interest to listen for now. When we find an exit, we’ll leave immediately.” Kujo sighed and muttered an apology before turning to the blue lines.
The loop of your walking through the doors still played above as everyone filled through the doors.
“Bad news, we’re postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we have a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men.”
“WHAT?!-“ shouted Maillardet. “WHY WOULD YOU EVER-“ A hand was slapped over his mouth as Dottore shushed him.
“I want to hear the rest of this.” he whispered.
“Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line. You’ll know when the test starts.”
“Oh Mr. Johnson…” Dottore swooned.
“Only a rifle..?” Maillardet whimpered.
Kujo groaned. “Don’t worry about that now. We’re following the blue lines. Not the yellow ones.” Ei grinned slightly at the banter.
“They say great science is built on the shoulder of giants. Not here. At Aperture, we do all our science from scratch. No hand holding.”
“I really do like this man.” Dottore grinned.
Walking along the catwalks was a new feeling. Despite the no longer being really… anywhere… there were still screens nearby that depicted you walking along side the group.
Little to no effort was made to make any kind of conversation. Just the sounds of different kinds of shoes hitting the metal that made up the catwalks.
Though that all changed within a moment.
“Hello..? Hello??”
The sudden voice calling out made everyone come to a stop. Aether brandished his sword and turned to a pair of doors that led off the path they were being led down.
They waited with bated breath as the mechanical whirling of something moving towards them echoed in the open space. The walls themselves seemed to shift as whatever it was made its way to the door…
The doors burst open as a spherical robot with a bright blue eye pushed its way through the doors, pausing when it saw the group.
“Humans..? Humans?? Humans!! Wait… HUMANS?!?!” Its confound shock was extremely apparent, especially with the way it screamed out.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE?!?! I haven’t seen a human since… since… her…” It’s tone grew somber within a second, but then it shook on its… bar??? Grip??? Dottore wanted to know.
“That doesn’t matter, what matters is that you guys are humans! Actual, genuine humans!” It rolled forward on its… whatever and faced them.
“… None of you have the portal gun though.. oh. Do you have those ‘vision’ things? Because I can assure you they won’t be of much help here-”
“And why is that?” Dottore jumped in.
“… Well first off all, it was incredibly rude to cut me off there, secondly, Aperture focused on the sciences that… well, had to do with those who lacked visions. Now don’t get me wrong, there were certainly tests for those who had them but uh… yeah these were mostly for those without.” It nodded.
“I see… now. Do you happen to have a name. Or would you tell us what you are?” The Doctor asked.
“A name..? Right! Oh gosh, I completely forgot about that. Wheatley’s the name and… yeah I don’t know where that was going really. And to answer the other question, I am what’s known as a core, but where are you lot off to?” He introduced. Though before the blue haired doctor could answer, a voice rung out.
“They’re off to test with the repulsion gel, Wheatley.” Your voice ring out, and there you were on the screen, facing them with a hand on your hip. The core seemed the freeze up at your voice, which didn’t go unnoticed.
“Oh! Uh… hey… (y/n)… hehe.” Wheatley seemed uncomfortable at now knowing of your presence, before something seemed to pop into his head.
“But… without the portal gun?”
“You don’t necessarily need a-“
“What’s a portal gun?” Maillardet questioned. You heaved a long sigh and Wheatley seemed to brighten up.
“We’ll only one of, if not the, best things Aperture has ever made, of course! It’s this nifty little gun that allows a person to go from one point, to another in just a snap!.. If I could snap I would to punctuate my point-“
“What he means-“ You interrupted, “Is that it is a special device that allows someone to manipulate space itself by opening up a doorway - otherwise known as a portal - and go from an unreachable point A to unreachable point B… or at the very least a vision-less ‘someone’. We weren’t able to test on those with a vision… or any non-humans with human intelligence; such as Oni from Inazuma or Adepti from Liyue. But even then our knowledge is… limited…”
Wheatley stared at you as you explained the Portal Gun in detail, before scanning the group.
“Oh! There is a vision-less with you!”
Maillardet swallowed nervously.
“Here, you won’t be at a disadvantage if you let us give you the Portal Gun! No need to feel like you may be falling behind… bloody hell you might even be able to go ahead and be advantaged in this situation!” The blue eyed bot explained.
“Wait wait wait… are either of you… alive or uh..” Aether stumbled over his words before you cut him off impatiently.
“Yes we are entirely sentient. Now Wheatley, we can’t make these decisions-“
“I don’t know why you’re complaining. You’ve been moping about for years! All because you ‘don’t have any human testers’ and ‘robots were starting to get the same results’ and ‘humans unpredictability made them unique’ and-“
“That’s enough, you idiot.” “HEY!-“ “Fine. Here’s how this will work, so be quiet and listen.”
Nobody moved.
“We will give your little friend access to The Portal Gun, you complete a couple tests for us, and we help you leave as fast as possible. Deal?”
“Well it doesn’t sound like we get much out of that deal besides our assured exit.” Ei stated, and you groaned.
“You’ll have access to technologies that those above this facility have not had access to for years. Plus, this will practically be free training. Now do we have a deal?” Your impatience was starting to grow clearer and clearer with each passing moment.
“Well-“ “YES!” Maillardet screamed. He didn’t care. This was his chance to truly make a name for himself. If he was able to get this ‘Portal Gun’ outside of the facility, the things he may be able to do with that tech…
Everyone looked at him with shock - though Dottore was more amused than anything - at how fast he agreed.
“Great! Wonderful even! Here, just follow me through here and we’ll get you right as rain, isn’t that right (y/n)?” Wheatley glanced at you as he turned on his rail. If you could, you would’ve rolled your eyes.
They watched as the screen you stood on blinked off, and Wheatley rolled away.
Maillardet followed behind and the others hesitated. Though after that moment of hesitation, they followed behind as well.
₊‧ʚ・︵︵ ₊˚๑ ᕱᕱ ꒱✦ ₊ ︵︵・₊﹆ɞ‧₊
﹒˚ ₊ ︵﹒⊹ ๑ ︵︵ ๑ ⊹﹒︵
Instead of the grey halls and metal walls they had become accustom to, they were met with greenage and foliage on all sides.
Flora of all kinds blossomed around them, tress that reached higher than any of them could see. They all followed behind the humming core, until he suddenly stopped.
“Now, this is a bit awkward, but my rail system ends here. I’m gonna let go, but I need someone to catch me. Do we have any volunteers..?” Wheatley informed and asked. He looked around the group only to make eye contact with Dottore. Who was grinning. Sharp teeth fully on display.
“Uhm… anyone..?” The robot squeaked. Though the only one who moved closer was Dottore.
He sighed, then ‘steeled’ his nerves.
“Alright, I’ll let go on the count of three- NO, ONE! If I do it on three I’ll chicken out and… mmmm I’m talking to much aren’t I? I’m nervous because of the very real possibility that you may drop me. Not to say you look weak or anything, you actually look quite strong. Has anyone ever told you that? I mean, personally I would prefer to be strong if I had a body… On that note I wished they gave us hands. That’d be nice. Or a way to move while not on the rail systems. They can only go so many places and so far, you know? And some of them end in the oddest of places. I found one that ended over a bottomless pit. Isn’t that just insane? I mean-“
Dottore grumbled something under his breath before moving directly below the blabbering bot. Then he cleared his throat, and screamed:
“ONE!”
The high pitched scream Wheatley let out as he fell would’ve been able to convince anyone that he was actually a girl. Dottore’s knees nearly buckled under the sheer weight of the still screaming robot in his arms. After finding his footing, they all stared at Wheatley, who continued to scream for a solid minute before realizing he wasn’t falling anymore.
“AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa…. Oh. You caught me. That’s a first- Anyway, directions! You’re going to want to follow the greyed out path through the green, and you’ll find a platform behind some broken walls and such. I’ll admit, when you get there it’s a bit of a jump, but I have faith in you lot!” He… grinned??? Well it was as close to a grin as a giant metal eyeball could get.
Everyone hummed in response and continued to trek on. Every now and then Dottore or Ei would ask about a type of flower or plant they saw, only for Wheatley to say he’s neither the flower nor plant core. Which led to Dottore asking about cores and Wheatley offering an explanation.
“Cores are… well to put it in perspective think of the basic parts of your personality. Of what makes you, you. Cores are basically that! We work as the pure forms of interests or emotions. Such as the flower core, who only ever talks about flowers. Or the anger core who… uhm… well. He screams? I guess?” Wheatley answered.
“So… what do you embody? Fear? Worry? Rambling?” Dottore asked, only for Wheatley to shout in objection.
“No! Absolutely not! None of those things! In fact, just for that, I don’t think I want to tell you.” He spun his eye around as to not look at the man carried him, causing Dottore to chuckle.
Maillardet suddenly shot ahead, causing everyone to quickly follow after. Wheatley seemed to understand why he shot ahead.
“There she is.” He muttered.
Just behind a wall, there it was.
Placed on a pedestal, vines and flowers grew all around in a mesmerizing pattern. A small hole in the roof let a halo of light fall onto the midsized device.
It was sleek. It was shiny. White and black mixed together in a perfect blend.
“Isn’t it beautiful? The pride of Aperture. What nearly all of our resources went into after its conception.” Wheatley mused. His focus was entirely on the gun in front of them.
Though his previous statement was true, there was a rather large drop from the platform they were on and the platform the Gun was on.
“You can drop me here.” The core suddenly spoke. Dottore looked down with a bit of a scowl.
“Weren’t you the one who screamed like a baby at falling only about four feet?” He asked. Wheatley scoffed.
“That was the make sure you’d catch me… anyway, I know I can survive this fall. I’ve survived worse. Just drop me and then jump down. It’ll be easier that way.” Wheatley’s voice suddenly got very serious. it lost its lively charm and became something more robotic… which was ironic.
The robot started acting more robotic, and they felt uncomfortable about it.
Dottore scoffed, then dropped the core without care. Though this time, Wheatley didn’t make a sound, just a small grunt when he hit the floor.
‘It can physically feel..?’ Dottore wondered.
Then one by one, they jumped down - Aether catching Maillardet - and began their walk over to the Gun after Dottore picked up Wheatley again.
“Hold on.” The blue eyes core suddenly spoke. His eye turned to a wall, and the panels suddenly shifted. A small control panel pushed itself out, presenting itself to the group.
“Plug me in there. I can make sure nothing hostile happens to pass by.” He explained.
“Hostile..?” Ei questioned and Wheatley, suddenly seeming very tired, sighed.
“Yes. Hostile. Just- Don’t worry about it, okay? I promise nothing will happen.” He glanced back at the group with a drooped eye. Dottore placed him on the panel.
Electricity shot out for a moment, then the core settled. He looked back, then without a word, got pulled back into the wall.
“It looks… so mesmerizing…” Maillardet whispered. He was the closest to the Gun. He hesitantly reached a hand out and touched it. Then, he picked it up and got a grip on it.
“I can’t say I’ve ever shot a gun but…” The mechanic pointed the gun at a wall, away from everyone as they watched.
He shot the gun.
And everyone watched as a pure black circle surrounded by blue latched onto the wall.
Everyone stood in shock.
He hesitantly shot right next to the blue and was met with a circle of orange.
Though now he could see through both.
And they reflected the room back to him.
He walked closer and looked through one and saw everyone looking back at him in silent disbelief.
He stuck a hand through the blue portal.
And watched his hand exit the orange.
He fell back in shock and everyone ran closer. They gathered around him, awe and shock written all across their faces.
“This is…” Dottore spoke.
“… A revelation.” Maillardet finished.
“Truly, isn’t it?”
The third voice broke everyone out of their stupor. They watched as the walls fluctuated and moved, opening the room up into another.
It was dark - pitch black, save for the screen that had only your figure on it. You stared at the group before moving your attention to the Portal Gun.
“Such an expensive piece of equipment it is… hopefully you understand what I’m about to do is only in your best interests.”
The screens blipped off, and a hole in the center of the room opened, a disgusting orange red glow emanating from it.
“Preparations Made. Systems Online. Ready For Emergency Long Fall Boot Insertion. Is Moderator Ready?”
“Yes.” Your voice rung out.
“Participant Ready?”
Before anyone could speak, you spoke for them.
“Participant is ready.”
“All Parties Set. Commencing Insertion.”
GORE WARNING! CONTINUE WITH CAUTION!
Metal wires suddenly shot out from the floor, causing everyone who could to summon weapons. Unfortunately, you had a plan for that.
Your wires shot out and gripped the visions on everyone who had one, but tightly wrapped around both Aether and Ei, quickly picking them up and throwing them into walls.
“Stand down, don’t make this harder than it needs to be.” You warned.
The wires quickly wrapped around the ankles of Maillardet, dragging him forward and making him drop the Gun. Kujo rushed forward but a wire wrapped around her and threw her to the ground.
“Last. Warning.” You said.
They were forced to watch as the vision less man was strapped down to a table that came up front the pit by those wires. Buzz saws and bone saws and needles and others rose from the hole in the ground.
Wires tore at his pants and ripped the boots off his struggling body.
“This is going to hurt. A lot. I don’t personally believe in anesthesia, but feel free to pass out.”
And with that, the first saw turned on and immediately buried itself in his leg, blood spraying and his screams ripping themselves out his throat. You could practically hear the tendons snapping as he cried.
It went until it hit bone, where you moved the buzz saw out of his leg with a sickening *squelch*, pressing the saw into his bone and quickly sawing through.
Everyone - of course, minus Dottore - did their best to look away from the scene, but Kujo couldn’t help the whimper that left her lips when some blood spattered on her face.
After bone, the buzz saw when back to work until the odd cut was completed. It was curved, leaving the front of the lower leg untouched, but the back - up to the upper caff - was completely removed, as well as the ankle and leg. Then the process started all over on the next leg.
“Did you know there was once a surgery with a 300% mortality rate? It was an amputation, much like this one, preformed by a Mr. Robert Liston over two hundred years ago. What happened was his patient died of an infection, his assistant also died of an infection after his fingers had been amputated accidentally, and a witness of shock after the knife came too close. Isn’t that interesting?”
Your words echoed through the chamber over the cries of Maillardet who just lost his other lower leg.
The two amputated leg parts were picked up by robotic claws which threw them into the hole below. Then, two odd looking boots were raised from said hole.
The class took the boots apart and began to assemble them on the man’s body. They were a solid white with black base and a weird black wire at rhetorical back.
The screams grew worse - then silent after Maillardet finally passed out due to pain - as the black wire - which was connected to the black base - was drilled into what was left of the bone. The wire was then shifted, then grafted into the muscle and bone.
The white part was reattached to the black, the straps tightening against what was left of the skin, before it was literally melted onto the boot.
The smell of burning skin, bones and blood filled the room.
“See, wasn’t that easy?”
His body was thrown off the table and next to the Gun.
The wires let go of everyone, and Aether landed on the floor, passed out.
GORE OVER GORE OVER! YOU’RE SAFE!
“Why aren’t my abilities working..?” Ei wondered aloud while helping Kujo to her feet.
“You think I wouldn’t recognize a God? News Travels, Beel. We have a few protocols in case a God were to ever wonder into our wonderful facility, but I don’t think I feel like telling you exactly what’s happening to you.”
She quickly looked up above the still open hole in the ground with a glare.
“Stop being a coward and reveal yourself.” She hissed.
“If you insist.”
The lights suddenly turned on, blinding all who were awake.
Dottore stared on in wonder at your body. It resembled that of a human who was suspended from the ceiling. Legs pressed together and arms bound behind them with their back to the floor.
It was the most beautiful piece of machinery he had ever seen.
You slowly turned to face them, the orange light of your eye glaring down at them.
“Let me formally introduce myself, this time without the assistance of a recording. This body you see before you has been dubbed the “Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System”. GLaDOS for short. Though if you prefer it, (y/n) is not off the table.”
“Where… is Wheatley?” Kujo suddenly asked.
“I figured you wouldn’t like him. How shocking you ask. But if you must know… You’re free to reveal yourself.” You mussed.
Silently, the core rode in on a rail in the background on a catwalk. He looks away.
“You’ve payed me back enough, moron. You no longer hold a debt.”
The room was silent.
He had… he betrayed them?
People he didn’t even know?
“… I still feel the itch, you know..?”
Your large head turned to face the blue eyed core.
“I know I’m not the smartest… but I still feel
The itch. It’s like it’s at the back of my brain… and you know what needs to be done to fix it. Please allow me to stay. I won’t… I won’t muck up as bad as I did last time.” His voice was barely above a whisper.
He felt bad and everyone could tell, but you knew that the need to test was able to push back all other thoughts. All other emotions.
It changed people. No matter if they were made of flesh or metal.
And addiction is an addiction. No matter what.
It wouldn’t go away with a bit of cold turkey quitting. That always came with side effects.
The silence was deafening.
If you could smile, you would.
“If you want. I may have final say, but my control over the cores is loose.”
Your gaze turned back to the group who had huddled themselves in a corner, glaring at you.
But you noticed Dottore was staring with less hatred and more… curiosity.
Like a child.
“You understand why I did what I did, don’t you?” Your voice was cold, yet still somehow held some kind of twisted warmth.
“It was to make him stronger. He can survive tests without a hitch now. As soon as he recovers, we’ll be able to continue testing without a hitch. You’ll each be given a relaxation pod while we wait. I’ll be holding up the end of my deal.” You turned away and focused on the screens behind you.
“What… are you..?” Ei asked.
“I thought I answered that question. I am GLaDOS. I am (y/n). I am the current head of Aperture Science.” You turned back to the group.
“And as long as you’re here under my care, I can assure you that we’ll have loads of fun.“
Everyone who was awake was suddenly knocked out by the gas you had been silently filled the room with.
It was time for testing to begin.
I hope this is good! Ima be honest, don’t know if any of the explanations for anything that was explained make sense lol. Also, don’t forget to tell me if you were okay with the whole (y/n) thing! ૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა
This is just in case nothing more gets requested: (y/n)’s transformation went like this: human (Cave’s assistant), mascot (first take on GLaDOS-like system, success), GLaDOS (Cave asked for them [they retained their human personality and memories as the mascot] to be GLaDOS while he was dying, like in the cannon)
Now I’m gonna spend some time on Requests! After which I’ll start on Mora!Creator! Again, I hope you enjoyed! ૮꒰˶ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ˶꒱ა˖⁺‧₊˚
And don’t be scared to request any Automation Reader (Executioner or GLaDOS) okay bye-
It’s that time of year again—time for you to bicycle around your neighborhood while listening to Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place,” to cruise the streets marveling at the flowering trees, the birds, the air, the world seen through your sunglasses. (While you’re at it, you might as well watch the Paolo Sorrentino film that takes the song as its eponym.) I was writing about Jonas Mekas and quotidian grace when this song popped into my head. It lives in my brain right next to where I store the paradise that is the here and now of the Earth-as-immanent-God, the all-is-God in all its pantheistic glory, a tentative “I guess that this must be the place.”
There are songs that vibrate at such a frequency that they become more than songs, that move through people in such a way that they take on the status of a social phenomenon. It’s always moving to read the YouTube comments on such songs, comments like:
“This song reminds me of an older friend that passed several years ago. He used to play this album when we worked together. For a long time after he passed, I kept thinking that I’d seen him on the street. Somebody wearing his cap, walking like him, or the back of a slightly balding head. I’d have recurring dreams about him coming back. I listen to this song occasionally and it brings back all the fond memories of him. Miss you, Chris.”
