one of the things that Charlie seemed to actually figure out the most was why you were so moody lol, she went through that emo phase too but...yours was sticking a bit too long to be a phase.

She had mentioned a couple times that they were going to focus on your issues separately to keep you from feeling bad, but she never actually went for it. Scared it would set you off a bit.

outside of that, she thought you were adorable, treating you more like a younger sister than a normal hotel attendee.

Sees more of herself in you than she would like to admit, and doesn't truly understand why you are in hell but...she doesn't push.

VAGGIE

Oh god, you and vaggie DO NOT MIX. It's one thing to put two demons together, but Vaggie already acts like a depressed teen at times.

She doesn't really...demand respect but she tries to act motherly towards you and just fails miserably.

You think she is trying to be controlling because you are younger and don't know as much.

Genuinely thinks you can be redeemed, and that if anyone has shot at it, it would be you.

Despite the fact you two don't get along, you come to her for some issues that you know she would be good with, like trying to get better and maintain friendships. that doesn't happen often tho.

You and her mixed is awful for boardgames too, talk about competitive.

You and her definitely got a lot of bad blood on, especially if you get all mean with charlie and yell.

ANGEL DUST

Oh god, it's a beautiful friendship.

You and angeldust get along more than needed, despite both being assholes at times, you both love each other and think a lot of one another.

You are usually the one taking care of him (along with Husk) Whenever he gets too rowdy at clybs, not only that but he takes care of you when you are unstable as well.

You don't do well with men, or any sort of family figure that is a man so as much as you try you always blow up.

You deeply care for the spider porn star but sometimes your personality makes it harder than you'd like. And he is one of the people inside the hotel that understands this the most, it's what you guys bonded over.

LOVES YOUR ATTITUDE.

He thinks your absolutely hilarious and wishes that when he was your age he had half the courage to say the shit you say. Watching you tell Alastor he was a braindead prick? Oh it made his day.

But that worried him a little bit, while he was happy you hadn't been roped into any sort of deal or contract, he was worried you'd say something to the wrong person. And if you ever did he would be there in a heartbeat

you two usually get drunk together since he doesn't want you going to any bars alone (Which you hate, but understand) So he won't help you with the hangover, but he will be right next to you throwing up in the sink as you throw up in the toilet :) HUSK

If you had to have a father bond with anyone? It would be Husk. He refuses to give you drinks for no reason and even has late-night talks with you.

scolds you for not being careful and respecting yourself, and usually just sits there as you yell at him till you say something truly horrible to him.

(Which isn't a lot, this guy can take more than he admits.)

But at the end of the day, he's there to give you advice and let you ramble on about the shitty stuff going on in your life,

if it wasn't for the fact you were a part of the hotel or one of Charlie's favorites. He would have killed you by now due to the comments you threw at him.

He couldn't tell who he would rather be in a room with, velvette? Or you.

Despite all of that he had an open mind to your behavior, understanding you were an emotional teen.

but that did NOT make the whole 'fossil' joke suddenly funny to him.

You two have bonded over a couple things, suits, food, and your insomnia. At the end of the day you still hated each other.

But he would totally cover you up if you fell asleep on the couch or something like that.

If you listen to his radio show he actually might start being nice to you, he's a sucker for teens as well. Especially if you are a girl.

Helluva boss has a glaring social issue

The hierarchy is not taken seriously and how disposable are those at the bottom?

In a previous post that highlights the hypocracy of the characters and a lot of the audience in their views on Mammon. I asked why it was of any surprise that he got mad when Fizz made a literal song and dance calling him out, insulting, wishing death on him and letting him know he's irredeemable before quitting on stage, quitting being the issue, when we previously watched his fellow princes Ozzie and Bee quicly threaten and intimidate leading characters Millie, Moxxie and Loona in reaction to disrespect.

Yet what if M and M didn't "GTFO" but decided to continue with their defiance?

What would have happened?

What if Loona didn't decide to be considered of her new friend who she made uncomfortable with her behaviour and stop with her rudeness?

What would have happened?

The leading characters are supposed to be at the bottom of society yet they easily mingle with those who are as good as royalty and demigods to them, they get into their nightclubs, house parties and sporty competitions as easy as city people get into supermarkets, they can befriended and date which had been a big deal but was rendered no big deal with Bee and Tex (why?) yet become big deal again with these past two Fizz and Ozzie centred episodes.

Seriously though, sidekick of a side charater Tex has a girlfriend, she hosts parties anyone's welcome at, this is her, she's also a deity world leader. Bee was introduced like she was nobody.

Then reduced to a love rival.

Love interests aside, there's no fear of or carried out consequences for stepping up to these big scary powerful beings. In the everyday world, peaceful and not so peaceful protests happen and those involved are taken note of, yet these beings who are not only upper class but whole laws onto themselves have commoners in their houses being rude, confrontational and oppositional with the confidence of a keyboard warrior.

Yet nothing.

But it's clearly not a thing that there's nothing to fear, because we have Crimson, an actual successful gangster of many years put together an operation to blackmail Ozzie that involved threat, kidnap, extortion, mobsters and a tedious contract that was important enough to go through, all whilst protecting himself.

And

If it was a thing that there was nothing really to fear because they're so low down in society that they're used to being disposable, like every unnamed extra easily slayed without care, they had nothing to lose and that'sjust how things are, then why would we be following their tragic backstories?

Animation is full of characters who are around eachother for no particular reason forever bickering and back biting, sassy and sarcastic characters are a standard and I often get the impression that ensuring this is the content we get all the time comes before the story.

Now Hazbin Hotel is about to start, where we instead follow Charlie who sits right at the top, but works with, befriends and dates the no doubt tragic individuals below her. Will hierarchy really make a difference at this point?

How many times does a writer have to poorly write a female character before you have to just consider the idea the writer hates women.

Every single female to female interaction in Helluva Boss exists on a sliding scale of hostility, ramping up from Harvest Moon onward. In Harvest Moon, Millie has the most meaningful interactions for her character between her mother and Sister Sally May.

Millie and her Mother do not have a great relationship. Millie's mom is constantly scrutinizing and criticizing everything Millie does. Millie is given a blatant double standard compared to her other siblings. Anything Millie does has consequences while MtF transgender sister Sally May is spoiled by both the family and the writers.

Sally May condescends her older sister constantly. Being given a position of superiority by just her attitude while the way she is allowed to get away with the same things Millie does but can't be excused for shows a clear golden child and scapegoat child. However, none of this ever gets addressed. We are meant to believe that this is what healthy and good female to female familial relationships are supposed to look like when it hinges on unfair family dynamics.

This could have been the plot to the episode. Millie is seeking a constantly critical mother's approval while watching a younger sister get preferred treatment. It would allow a ton of character for Millie. Constant scrutiny and unequal treatment have a psychological effect on children.

Madrano insists there is a sibling rivalry between Sally May and Millie, but doesn't seem to realize where rivalries come from in family dynamics. If it was a competitive outlet like a sport, that would be one thing. However, the only comparison we see throughout the episode is that mom lets Sally May do whatever she wants while Millie is left out. That kind of sibling rivalry is not healthy on a fundamental level. Kids in healthy families get treated fairly. That means that kids should be held to the same expectations in broad strokes while making room for their individuality. Punishing one kid for doing the exact thing the other one is doing without consequence is not a loving, healthy family dynamic, and it says a lot that the criticism is leveled solely on Millie. The only cis female child.

Then there is Truth Seekers. The pilot was the only point where any suggestion of tension between Millie and Loona was expressed before the two had basically no interaction with each other in the series proper. However, it is written like we should just assume they have a not-great relationship as they make little jabs at one another. Like, there is this presumption that women just naturally don't get along that colors their entire interaction. We are supposed to get this idea that they are growing closer throughout the mission but have no foundation of where they are growing from, and every "bond" made is generously coated with backhanded compliments.

Even when being kind, the characters can't help but hiss at each other with insults towards female sensitive issues like aging. It's up there with making fun of someone's weight. It's an issue unfairly targeted towards women that is a genuine source of distress in Western society. Madrano, being a woman, especially one who has openly struggled with aesthetic concerns of her own body, finding nothing wrong with characters attacking female characters for their looks says a lot.

There are additional quips of just blatant misogyny throughout season 2. The character assassination of Stella from being a potentially abusive, cold, and selfish partner to being hyper emotional and screeching all the time with no ability to have a complex throught beyond the level of a toddler. The repeated insults of "bag of holes", "pussy face" and "tit haver" by Blitz as female side characters are boiled down to nothing but the sexual qualities which are then used to demean and belittle them.

The true zeitgeist of Madrano's attitude towards female relationships is seen best in Episode 8. The early interaction of Loona and the poodle hound is vapid, which makes the hostility feel less personal between the characters and more a continuation of this female misogyny. The reasoning for Loona to become so upset is weak throughout the episode but is simultaneously felt to be justified while being a character flaw.

The poodle shows an embarrassing picture of Loona with the same vapid reasoning as Stella: I hurt you because it's my enjoyment. Seeing how this is the second appearance of this characterization, this is where I begin to believe that Vivienne had a hard time making friends with other girls in school. Instead of any level of self-awareness towards maybe herself being an unagreeable person, she assumes this was just how women are. The way she frames Loona in a lot of these scenes feels too personal. It almost feels she assumed we all had this kind of experience growing up as young women, and that is why it never gets fleshed out more.

The scene could have been used so much better with being specifically targeted towards Loona and her character. Have the poodle say something like, "Loona? Lunatic Loona? Is that really you? We thought you, like, died or something!"

Have Loona feel awkward and out of place, unsure if it's an insult or a legitimate concern, and have her toe that line of neutrality as she tries to assess the atmosphere. It shows a desire to be accepted, a very raw inner self that is quick to be triggered, as well as her lacking in interpersonal skills. She can simply pull in with a defensive, "What's that supposed to mean?"

Then, have the poodle respond with something like, "I dunno. You got adopted one day and then totally disappeared. When they didn't return you, we all just assumed you died or some shit."

It is a cruel joke that says way more about Loona than anything we have been given. It can get a laugh as well as open the door to so much unspoken lore that fans could actively explore. It actually establishes Loona's fear of abandonment that never gets set up at all throughout the series. Even Seeing Stars doesn't establish that fear, yet still tries to act like it is present in the story.

This sort of cold disinterest in Loona better fuels the level of insecurity needed to have Loona lash out the way she does. Instead of being so thin-skinned that embarrassment alone triggers her to blow up, have it be the utter loneliness that people she knows don't care whether she is alive or dead and that she lacks fundamental worth to others.

But this isn't the only massive train wreck of escalation seen in the episode. Beelzebub is a genuinely sweet character throughout the episode who does nothing to even hint at selfishness or malice. She graciously accepts an embarrassing defeat in front of everyone while Loona can't so much as laugh at herself. Loona uses Blitz's win to then elevate herself socially in the party, not actually spending any time with her adopted father.

I am genuinely confused by people claiming that Loona was defending Blitz as Beelzebub is simply telling her that her dad is not doing well and that she should check on him. Telling someone their friend or family member is self-destructing is not something anyone needs defending from. That goes into the fanbase more than the writing however.

Back to the actual episode, the line that causes Beelzebub to snap at Loona isn't when Loona accuses her of being jealous or petty, but when Loona merely states that everyone loves Bee. For some reason, that comment is what triggers a fight. It shows a fundamental lack of understanding basic human interaction. That women are too emotional that they blow up for no reason. It almost feels more at home in a JustPearlyThings fever dream than an actual serious exploration of human emotion. Add to it the deescalation doesn't come from communication or finding common ground, but by elevating the comfort of a man.

I'm not sure how many times it needs to appear in action and be so forced to the point that it doesn't even bother to justify itself, by acting like this is just everyone's experience with women, before we can call a spade a spade.

Gaming can be a great way to relax and spend time with your partner(s) and spark some playful competition...

Millie would love action/adventure and FPS/RPG games. I think she would generally go for faster paced games with lots of action and teamwork like Fortnite or Overwatch. If Millie is going to play a slower game, it either has to have an interesting story or cool visuals. That's where games like Legend of Zelda, Undertale, and Flinthook come in. (And, of course, Animal Crossing). If Millie is gaming with her partner(s), she'll probably want to party up in Overwatch so everyone can play together (and have a coordination advantage). Absolutely cusses out toxic players, omg. Especially if someone harasses her partner(s). Whoever messes with y'all gets verbally destroyed, then blocked and reported by Millie. I think she'd be a fast fucking typer, ngl. She's also a super supportive teammate. No matter how bad the game is going, she's always cheering everyone on. I'd like to think she'd wear those headphones with the light-up cat ears because that shit is so cute. Millie is also a big fan of having matching/complimentary aesthetics for your animal crossing islands. Millie's is a western theme with communal vegetable gardens and lots of black roses everywhere. Visits her partner(s)' islands regularly and chats with all the villagers.

Fizzarolli cannot handle online/team games. They're too fast and overstimulating, and I don't think he'd enjoy trying to keep up. However, get him on Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley and he's obsessed. I also think he'd love some of the old school Pokémon games. When Fizz is playing on his switch, he loves to broadcast whatever game he's playing onto the TV and sit on the couch and cuddle his partner(s). He's another who would wear cute gamer shit, like the headphones with ears, and little face stickers! Fizz gets super invested in the storylines of whatever game he's playing, and is determined to finish every task and request from villagers or in-game love interests. He'd work so fucking hard on getting a five star island in animal crossing or completing farming tasks in Harvest Moon. Also really enjoys in-game collectibles. Fizz appreciates aesthetics, and would go all-out with the cute gamer look. That would include getting LED lights and projectors to decorate the walls, light up keyboards, those really cute headphone stands, and a cute switch accessory case. Fizzarolli's Animal Crossing island has a circus theme with lots of stages/performing areas and outdoor cafes with open mic stands.

Other than Millie, Loona is probably the most competitive gamer out of their whole group. She also enjoys online competitive games, such as Valorant and Overwatch. just don't let her connect to VC; she's got some serious gamer rage. Loona generally isn't horrible about it, but toxic players and enemy teams can be frustrating, so occasionally, she goes off in /team chat. Like Millie, Loona will cuss out toxic players. Loona gets super invested in the games, so even if she's gaming with her partner(s), she'll have a hard time "just relaxing." She generally doesn't like slower paced games, but I think everyone would have a soft spot for Animal Crossing. (And I wanna believe everyone would visit each other's islands). For Loona's island, I think she would either have a gothic or city theme goin on. Lots of trees and sitting areas with tarot card sets and flowers scattered around. I think Loona would have a lot of fun with battle passes and seasonal events. It really helps her with having fun with competition, rather than getting hyper-aggressive. Loona also has some gamer set-up type things; Comfortable gaming chair, LED lights, and she probably uses a mic stand instead of headphones.

Ooh, that's a tough one! I think Fizz was super ticklish before the accident but less so now due to scar tissue (don't worry, he's still got a few good spots to tease him with), so I would have to go with Moxxie on this one!

No one; they're all ticklish to some degree!

Who’s the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles?

IT'S TOTALLY BLITZ! He just NEEDS a good wrecking from time to time, especially when he's being particularly annoying or clingy, so the rest of I.M.P loves to gang up on him.

Who’s the character that somehow knows everyone else’s tickle spots and reveals them to others?

I'm actually not sure about this one; they're all a little dense when it comes to tickles (in a good way, I love this bunch of idiots). Tickle spots are usually found by accident before being brutally exploited.

Who’s the character with one specific tickle spot that only one other person knows about?

The spade of Blitz' tail (particularly the underside of it) is super bad and only Stolas has had the privilege of finding out about it.

Millie or Blitz because they are bot EXTREMELY competitive.

I think it's safe to say Stolas, Fizz and Ozzie would.

Loona. The poor, sweet girl likely didn't get much affection before being adopted, so she found out about her ticklishness at the same time Blitz did.

Blitzo- Part succubus/imp. Around late 30s- early 4ps. Crazy boss to work for. Great at improvising and thinking on his feet, but a horrible planner.

A failed clown, found his calling in the assassin business. Cares about his employees in his own way, sadly doesn't express this properly. Annoys Moxxie because he doesn't appreciate the (justified) criticism Moxxie gives.

Mille - Grew up in wrath. Lates 20s. She comes from a large family.

Despite her seemingly impressinve strength, she is actually the weakest in her family. She tends to be overly competitive. She almost never turns down a challenge. After feeling like a failure compared to her family, she vows to prove her worth while working at IMP. She prefers hand to hand combat or melee weapons, as she feels they will help her prove how strong she is. She is heavily insecure about seeming weak.

She can fly into blind rages and is hard to console in that state. In this state, she is basically riding on intense adrenaline, and doesn't stop until she drops. Like a raging bull.

Loona- 18 or 19 year old hellhound. Adopted by Blitzo. She is reluctant to trust anyone and is rather lonely. Blitzo gave her a job at IMP as their receptionist.

She is apathetic towards the job, and feels as though Blitzo is overbearing. She does care about him, and appreciates his care.

Moxxie- Unheard voice of reason. Grew up in greed. Due to his upbringing, he has learned how a proper buisness functions and hopes to educate Blitzo.

An excellent marksman, poor in melee combat. Great at planning, but doesn't handle deviations from those plans well, and gets easily frustrated. Working for a buisness that is barely keeping itself alive is a big blow to his ego, as it is considered shameful in greed. Very formal, enjoys refinement and class.

His marriage to Millie is complicated, she tries to encourage him to let loose a bit, while he tries to encourage her to settle down. They argue about it but still love each other at the end of the day.

Still working on Millie's work attire, as I drew her in her casual clothes.

so i’ve been on my atla bs once again, and while rewatching today i got the lovely thought that azula reminded me of a specific kpop idol and spiraled from there. so. here’s my personal list of kpop idols as atla characters!!

• has a list of favorite black american artists. riri definitely put her on some r&b classics and less mainstream artists. has a massive celebrity crush on black women rappers.

• music taste is very versatile. her playlist has almost everything. she just can’t listen to one genre only, she’s too open minded and exploratory for that.

• he’s not one to fall in love easily, but when he does he falls hard. riri was the first person he ever fell for and it changed the trajectory of his life, poor thing had no idea what to do with that information.

• a romantic, lovesick loser. cannot flirt to save his life. flustering him is so fucking easy lmao. riri once called him shawty and he malfunctioned for 5 minutes. whenever he’s on the phone with riri his crush is genuinely so obvious to everyone around him. he be giggling and cheesing real hard 😭. kicking his feet squealing on the bed when he’s alone thinking about the cute nickname riri called him.

• her love language is acts of service and gift giving. she’s not always good with words or emotions so she expresses her appreciation towards her loved ones by distributing her wealth in many ways. buying riri things she might need for college, fixing stuff that breaks in nakia’s home. things like that.

• has trouble being vulnerable with those close to her. she’s lost so much, so opening up to new people is always a scary, big step. it took a while for her to let mj, ned, and viv into her heart because the closer she becomes with them, the more it’ll hurt if she loses them. they take her in with open arms regardless, because having a support system with people her age is something she needs. they take her seriously in ways that the elders don’t. they see her for who she is outside of being a royal figure to her country and allows her to be her full, authentic, geeky self. she’s able to grasp onto the youth that she almost lost when her family was taken away.

• very talkative. can infodump about an interest for hours and completely lose track of time if you let them. they cannot stay still when excited, nor can they keep eye contact, pacing around the room and darting their eyes everywhere while rambling about the history of vibrainium or something.

• maladaptive daydreaming. will lose herself in a song and start imagining scenarios in her head. t’challa once caught her in the act and refused to delete the video footage. sometimes, she pulls up the video her brother recorded just to hear his laughter in the background.

Love had sent an ask about J.J's blonde party guy era but Tumblr tricked me into deleting it, so here is it my second attempt to talk about it as a post. I hate this Hell site mechanics more than anything, BUT! I am very passionate about this one topic as you can see by the size of THIS.

I am making a little tangent here because this is a great opportunity to talk about J.J's blonde era as a general phenomenon, as well as do a little character deep dive into how Jiahang's mind works when the subject is his public appearance, because I'm yet to fully communicate just how business savvy and attention seeking he is at his core. These two characteristics were very integral to his nightlife downfall.

⤴️↪️ A MOMENT IN TIME: J.J's BLONDE ERA PITIFUL FINAL AESTHETIC. He is currently recovering from it successfully, but still. The horrors.

One thing that is key to understand about Jiahang is that he is NOT a team player, he wasn't raised by his social climber pageant mom and his millionaire movie director dad to be one. His long term goal is to stand on his own as an 'icon' - notice the use of 'icon' instead of 'musician' or 'artist' or even 'idol'. He wants everyone to see two Js put together in a sentence and immediately associate them with him (as in J.J Xu, not LOOPiN's J.J, and definely not as J.J from That Once LOONA Sibling Group), but he is realistic with his limitations: Jiahang is not a musical prodigy like Zhiming, or obsessed/respectful with the craft as Minwoo, or has the mental discipline to train himself to greatness like Haegon, and when you're in a group with people like that with ambitions like his, you're always in a competition.

To put it very bluntly: Jiahang is too clumsy to ever become more than an average dancer, he doesn't have an easy voice for singing and he can barely call himself a rapper. Artistic kills can't be the base of his brand, because that's what he sees his J.J stage persona as, a brand. He's not an artist. And if conventional talent can't be his selling point, he has to use what's naturally available to him - personality, a face widely considered to be attractive, a shitton of money, and an extremely sharp eye for business.

Seriously, the amount of marketing stunts he has pulled for and come up with for LOOPiN alone is NO JOKE. Jiahang understands the inner workings of the entertainment industry more than any of his bandmates, and that's his head start.

Now, on the hair. Jiahang has a very deep and sentimental history with his hair, a bit too extense to fully explain with this one post, but he's been wearing it very long since he was a child, because he loves it, and he was picked up on for it constantly. Keep growing it out despite everything what his first real way of asserting himself, and it's the one thing Jiahang is authentic with throughout - integrating it into his branding was essential to him.

He went about it very strategically: J.J never had a defined clothing style, instead, he goes out of his way to wear almost anything to prove that his hair doesn't automatically put him on a visual box, and there is no reason for him to sacrifice it for any gig. He won't be a long haired male Idol until someone tells him time's up, he will be The Definitive Long Haired Male Idol (and in canon he has succeed! Like, K-Pop knows he's the final boss).

A lot of iNSYNCs consider him one of LOOPiN's fashionistas for this plus all the design shit he has, side by side with Seungsoo and Haruki, but that title doesn't fit Jiahang at all. Haruki and Seungsoo have a genuine interest in fashion, while Jiahang has none, it's all performance. He simply wants a stable signature attached to him, something he can have the ultimate control of, and that he won't get bored of maintaining. Alas: his very, very adored long hair.

⤵️➡️ A DISSECTION OF J.J's BLONDE ERA (FEBRUARY 2022 - SEPTEMBER 2023)

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: (1&2) J.J's 'Punch' teasers, a shocking blonde debut. | (3&4) The overall lengths and colors Jiahang kept transitioning between in his day to day life. | (5&6) 'Mess' peeking through near the end, but integrated into his presenting style. | J.J's 'Beatbox - Street Beat Ver.' and 'Internet War - Tell Me What To Do' teasers.

(1&2): I can't even begin to describe how iNSYNCity completely STOPPED when the 'Punch' teasers started rolling out and J.J appeared not only fully blonde, but with these polarizing face covering bangs. The styling came fully out of his own brain, of course, and he wanted all the controversial attention right out of the gate to plant the seeds of the 'elevation' of his stage persona. He wanted 2022 to be his year SO BAD;

(3&4): Up until that point in his career, Jiahang had his hair straight, ironed out to perfection even when he dyed it anything else than his usual black and brown, but while blonde he always kept it very wavy to drawn an even bigger contrast with his former Idol branding;

(5&6): Oh, mid 2023... The roots showing... The messy teeny tiny ponytails... The color... You can clearly see a lack of polish that is very unusual of him. Jiahang wore a lot, and I mean A LOT of hair extensions during this era right here, mostly to cover up how fucking fried his hair was starting to look due to low maintenance (Dongwook and CIA made fun of him if he showed up Too Put Together at the clubs, and after a while it really started to get to him). He adopted a very edgy Y2K style to try to make it all seem intentional, even had stylized black highlight for a while, but Jiahang felt like he wasn't fooling anyone - it didn't appear as such to the public, lucky him. This is pretty much how he looked until he fully cut off his nightlife circle of "friends" in September, and dyed his hair back to black;

(7&8): Ah, his last blonde official teasers... What a way to go. Blonde J.J had such a dramatic styling but that was very well translated into all the eras he was on, he never looked out of place. That's why even the general public now considers this run to be very iconic, as he wanted. But at what personal cost, Jay?! AT WHAT COST?!

I am still debating on how his 'clean era' looks like. I'm not sure if he would just dye his hair black and cut off the bits that look Horrible (J.J!Bayi) or if this whole experience fucked him up so bad that Jiahang would cut it pretty short and grow it back from the begging, for the healings (J.J!Didi), but anyways! He is doing better <3 currently <3 not for long <3 like at all <3 he is about to get very fucked up by the narrative <3 but on the bright side (????) that means that he'll have another very Intense hair moment, and spoiler alert, it'll look a lot like this (in Vibes, the length is still something I don't know 😁)

Unpopular opinion: The twins’ song was way better than Fizzarolli’s. The show trying to gaslight us into Fizz’s performance being better is 2023’s version of that one Disney Channel movie (Camp Rock) where they tried to convince us that the antagonists (Camp Star)’s performance was worse even though by all metric it was objectively better lmao but they had to lose the competition for plot.

also still trying to comprehend how that neon clown with grating voice is supposed to be a sex icon of sorts - Verosika, I understand. The rest of the incubus/succubus characters, I understand. Hell, even when it comes to Striker I kinda understand how he is supposed to be attractive by the cartoon’s standards. Same goes for characters like Millie and Loona and even Angel Dust from HH. But Fizzarolli? Idk, the design just doesn’t fit what the character is supposed to portray, imo. Like, he just looks silly and goofy to me -which is fine, but we are supposed to believe that he is this super sexy performer everyone in Hell thirsts over and has sex dolls of? Again, dunno but it’s like the character design doesn’t really fit.

I didn't think either of their songs were good, personally, and neither made me think "clown in a clown pageant." Nothing about any of it makes sense.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for being one of the few people who are normal about Blitzø! Everybody either overly demonises him or infantilises him and it’s so annoying.

Most of the Stolitz crowd either twists every mistake Stolas makes to somehow be Blitzø’s fault or they act like Blitzø is just a sad uwu boy that can’t accept Stolas’ love because he’s too insecure to see how Stolas really feels about him.

And a lot of the VivziePop critical crowd overly focuses on Blitzø’s flaws and mistakes, which is fair (I admit Blitzø has done some fucked up shit and I like seeing the show hold him accountable for it), but sometimes it seems like people give the worst possible interpretation of him and miss the nuance of his character.

It’s frustrating too because there are good criticisms you can have about Blitzø, but the annoying part is that most of that good critique of him lies in his relationships with people who AREN’T Stolas (M&M, Loona, Fizz, Verosika) and yet Blitz gets dragged through the mud by the show, fans and critics alike for his treatment of STOLAS of all people?? I’m a huge fan of Blitzø and I CRAVE good criticisms of him and I wish the show would actually focus on developing its main character.

Honestly stolas just isn’t a fair look at who blitz is. Can you really blame him for wanting out of a forced relationship. Six episodes this was non consensual and an unhealthy sh blitz was clinging to out of loneliness, suddenly becoming romanticised in season two. Stolas is a client at best, and at most an investor who gets far too involved and far too clingy and creepy.

The people who absolutely obliterate blitz for crimes such as not….liking a cigarette being put out on his head…or choosing his daughters healthcare over saving stolas, when he didn’t feel in danger at first. They’re just trying to convince themselves stolas isn’t a bad person, and are trying to force a ship, even if it destroys a character, a show, an entire cast of characters even.

The real time to go into blitzø is with IMP, fizz, verosika, other imps, hellhounds (who he actually treats as equals unlike a lot of other imps like even Millie). His hero complex is arguably his kindest trait that people admire him for, but also a big flaw when they start to feel indebted, or when they don’t want his rescue, like Loona wanting to have her own life once she turned 18, and Barbie wanting to keep her one good job.

Barbies scene was brief but it told us a lot. first off, how both twins prefer to be the boss with underlings of their own, possibly having a competitive rivalry. She does speak to him at first, and gives him a chance when he says how worried he is, explaining that she has honest work, that she’s fine, but needs to get away from her clingy brother. but Blitz keeps poking holes in the job, and just lets Moxxie try to kill the target, sabotaging Barbies job and that’s what makes her so mad. I have a feeling she actually doesn’t blame him for the fire, but it still really traumatised that they were ok for some time, but he kept doing shit like this. He possibly just abandoned the old showbiz job and got labelled a deadbeat. Then he kept visiting constantly, maybe every time he got upset, like he does with Loona.

I've been work shopping this since the Mammon episode came out. I just want other opinions on this so I can confirm if I'm crazy or if others see it too. Keep in mind this is how I see the characters and my opinion. I'm glad to see what you all think as well :)

Blizto and Mammon are the same character. Moxxie and Fizz share a good amount of qualities that are very similar and so do Millie and Asmodeus. Idk it seems like they feel the same sometimes. You would think Stolas, Biltz, Fizz and Asmodeus would have the most in common because they’re supposed to be parallels  

But let me explain

Mammon and Blizto  

(I already when over this in another post so here's what I said)  

They are practically the same character given what the show tells us. What Blitzo does to Moxxie is the same thing Mammon does to fizz only cranked up to nine. Mammon says things that make Fizz worry I.e. “ready to reclaim your win another year... I saw your competition and it's pretty stiff, right? You are going to have try extra hard” remember in “The Harvest Moon Festival” ep where Blizto says “now just remember your rep with the in laws is on the line here so, no pressure at all you totally will not make an ass of yourself in front of everyone important in your life” he totally did that on purpose. How about when Mammon calls Fizz a “a bit chungo”? blitzo in seeing stars “you know it wouldn’t kill ya to put a salad in your body every now and then” and he says it meaner. He even encourages Loona to also call moxxie fat so while it’s still Loona doing it Blizto not telling her to chill out or something and there by condoning it, but he has the nerve to clutch his stupid little pearls (also blitzo isn't Wareing his mom little necklace thing in the Mammon ep) when Mammon does the same thing. Mammon says sexually charged stuff to Fizz that is very obviously making him uncomfortable but disregards it like its nothing? “they’ll want a piece of you they can home and fuck! Don’t you want that Fizzy? to be fucked?” Then Fizz said no, and he disregarded it. Blizto in Murder Family, Harvest Moon, Truth seekers, Ex's and Ohs when he makes a big deal about someone having sex with both Moxxie and Millie and then making a big deal at the fact that he, Moxxie and Millie have had sex with the same person also maybe Ozzie's when he says he watches the M&M get it on but it's hard to gaze if Moxxie’s reaction was surprise, disgust or both. Mammon calls Fizz a “a stupid little [HONK]” Blizto calls Moxxie “a fucking disgrace” in Unhappy Campers but to be fair I make it an active effort to forget that ep is canon so. Mammon puts Fizz in a situation he can't handle, which leads to a panic attack. Blizo in the first ep Murder Family where Moxxie doesn’t want to kill Martha because he doesn’t want to kill a mother and ruin a family and is openly hesitant and uncomfortable about it causing him to have a small panic and mess up the mission at first. Mammon tells fizz to get his shit together with the underlying threat of firing, terminating, or worse. Murder family Blitzo says “But if you ever pull a stunt like this again, I will fuck you and your wife”. Both Blizto and Mammon are openly sexist  treat Fizz and Moxxie all buddy buddy when they do stuff, they want but when they don’t comply or might do something they don’t like they get mean or aggressive. They only main differences is that Moxxie can talk back to Blizto in a way and fizz can't and Fizz gets to quit and escape his horrible boss.

Moxxie and Fizzarolli 

Moxxie and Fizzarolii have a lot in common such as being into music and overall performance. Fizz, I think he is supposed to be a comedian (he’s a jester) but from all the performances he puts on is mostly singing so. They both like supporting new talent Fizz and the deft kid. Moxxie and the mixtape guy from seeing stars “you made this?... Millie! We need money to pay this talented artist... These artists put their hearts and souls into their work.” They both can be very awkward at times Fizz in Mammons Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special ft. Fizzarolli (MMMMSfF) “Haha ignores him, Sir. He’s uh like this all the time” and moxxie in Harvest moon festal when Millies's dad talks about the flaming twister and moxxie awkwardly chuckles and says, “oh crumbs...” and they both seem to have a need to be good at what they do. Fizz and his performances saying he needs the pageant gig and Moxxie with being a good assassin his constant want to be stronger like in harvest moon. They both get called fat, and they both have a powerhouse SO. Both get wrapped up in their heads and won’t listen to reason if it means they get to prove themselves to a sucky boss or their own ego. I.e. the entirety of Unhappy Campers and the beginning of western energy when Moxxie must kill the pig thing and MMMMSfF when Fizz won't listen to Ozzie when he tells him “yo maybe not this year?” about the pageant. they both have exceedingly more screen time and character development than their SO. Both are kind of weak physically speaking Fizz can't fight and Moxxie can't really hold his own very often and needs back up when it comes to hand to hand combat.  disregards they’re significant other’s worries for them I.e. when Asmodeus was worried about Fizz going to the Greed ring knowing something bad could happen to Fizz given his fame and flashy personality and when Asmodeus doesn’t want Fizz to go to the pageant because it takes a physical and emotional toll on Fizz. Millie when she’s worried about Moxxie entering the Pain Games, when Millie is worried moxxie is getting carried away with mission in Unhappy Campers. They need to be reassured Fizz when he says he sorry to Ozzie for getting kidnapped and Ozzie say she should need to apologize for it and when Ozzie says he loves fizz flaws and all alsothat he doesn’t need to be Mammon's cash bitch. Moxxie when Millie tells him doesn’t need to prove he’s strong to her parents, doesn’t need to hide his past from her. Damzel in destress  

Millie and Asmodeus  

Not a lot to say about them because they don’t get a lot of screen time and are often pushed to the side for the more popular SO. Seemingly perfect significant others who are only there to boot the other party of the relationship.  ambiguous flaws such as Millie being hellhound racist and doesn't do/say anything about blizto/Loona/anybody abusing moxxie. Ozzie, a deadly sin who couldn't save is boyfriend from a villain who is 30000x weaker than him and blizto saved him and seemingly a little processive and kind of smothery. Comparatively to Moxxie and Fizz we know very little about them. The moral support and all around good/normal one. Being comply indifferent to Blizto despite how he treats/treaded Moxxie and Fizz. I understand blizto and Fizz made up, but wouldn't you still be a little skeptical of the guy who disabled your boyfriend even a little? even if it was on accident? Also, wouldn’t you want to speak to your so called friend and boss about how he treats your husband?  

Is it just me? Fizz and Ozzie feel like the gay version of Moxxie and Millie. I feel like I have a sold case with Blizto and Mammon and Millie and Asmodeus, but I don’t know

Hello! A lot of you had positive responses to my last post, so here I’ll be writing my personal rewrites of the I.M.P. Crew (Sorry this took so long, I got side-tracked this weekend <:]). For a reminder of what my redesigns looked like, you can find them Here. I’m gonna go from left to right and start with the first crew member:

Mildred (or Millie)

I did a lot of reworking around Mildred since a majority of her characterization is basically nonexistent, so I gave her a personality with a lot of potential and complexity that’s on par with her male crew members.

Mildred comes from a very low-income, Southern family in the Wrath Ring. She grew up on a barn with her parents and several other siblings, making her essentially a middle child. She worked on their farm for most of her life as a hand and delivery girl to send fresh produce to buyers and the local market. It was like this for some time until the family business had gone dry due to some messy ties with the upper-class that resulted in them going into poverty. Wanting to help her family and support them financially Mildred left to go find work elsewhere, in which she meets Blitzo and is hired onto the I.M.P. team.

She’s very hard-working, a bit brutish but has a heart of gold, and is blunt and out-spoken. She’s not very sophisticated but has a lot of Wisdom to her and gives some great advice to Loona as the only other woman in the workplace, and someone for Loona to look up to in times of need. She gets along great with everyone except Moxxie, who she butts heads with constantly due to their conflicting personalities and backgrounds. Speaking of Moxxie, he’s next on the list.

Moxandicus (Moxxie)

Moxxie was an Imp born into the wealthier part of Imp society, basically making him the equivalent of your typical “uptight, sophisticated rich boy”. His family comes from a line of competitive businessmen, none of that mafia mumbo-jumbo, though they probably do have some loose ties to them in some way. Moxxie is the odd-one-out of his family, rather than taking an interest in the family business, instead finds his passion in Mortals History (this man is so infatuated with Humans culture its crazy). Because of this, his family looked at him more as a nuisance “wasting his time on silly hobbies”, and basically cut him off from his wealth until he “proved himself worthy” of being welcomed back into the family. Now broke and nowhere to go, Moxxie finds himself looking for work, where he meets Blitzo and joins I.M.P.

I imagine my Moxxie has a very similar personality to the one if the show, except he’s more educated, calculating, snooty and uptight, and less of.. I don’t know how to put this— coward? Butt of the joke? You get what I mean. He’s essentially the straight man and voice of reason for the group, and is the one who usually has to get them out of their pickles when working. He doesn’t have a lot of street smarts and is less willing to get his hands dirty compared to everyone else. Like I said earlier he clashes a lot with Millie and frequently questions Blitzo’s authority, but most of the time doesn’t argue back on the count of that’s his boss. He’s indifferent towards Loona, though questions why a teenager is working for them in the first place.

Blitz(o)

A lot of Blitz’s backstory and personality is mostly the same: Grew up in the circus in the Pride Ring, left after wanting to seek more in life prove to everyone someone from his social class can make it big in the world, yadayadayada. However I did rewrite some things that I believed wold make his character a lot better/more tolerable:

He’s still on good terms with his sister, they’re just really busy all the time so they don’t have a lot of time to talk or see each other (I’m so sick of this dude not having at LEAST one good relationship).

He and Verosika are still on bad terms due to their messy break-up, though I want to believe Blitzo regrets and sometimes even misses her and the actions that led to their falling out, though due to his pride refuses to admit it out loud.

None of that weird “sexually harassing my coworkers” shit. That was weird and gross.

I gave him a personality that’s more attuned to “if Weird Al was a bounty hunter who grew up in the circus”. He was always some silly little guy to me. The man grew up in a circus, I’d expect him to be a little clowned down if you get what I’m sayin’.

His relationship with Loona is typically the same. He adopted her when she was around 13-14 and has been raising her ever since as his teenage daughter (None of that weird “treating hellhounds like literal peta thing that was weird and confusing). He makes her work as their secretary and “social media manager” as a way to earn a weekly allowance and also “the kids are hip with it she’ll do wonders for us promotionally”. She does not, he just refuses to admit it.

Leona (Loona)

I’ve done a lot of reworking for Loona as well, same reasons as Millie. Istg they do not know how to wrote female characters.

Loona is a hellhound born from the Sloth Ring. She doesn’t know a lot of her background, but was raised in foster care for a small portion of her life until Blitzo took her in when she hit her teenage years. Before that however she took a liking towards astrology and magic and would constantly read about it in her formative years. When she began living with Blitz she began attending schooling to further learn about magic and how to translate older works, which is how she’s able to use Stolas’ book for the IMP team to use. She get’s teased on a lot in school for being one of the only Hellhounds there, which causes her to feel insecure about herself and shut in from people including Blitz.

Loona’s a very quiet, closed-off teenager (16-17), who’s very much in that “going through a phase” part of growing up. She’s very insecure about herself and is easily-impressionable, which is why she looks up to Millie so much, since she’s cool and is the only other girl in the office space to talk to. Loona’s relationship with Blitz is the same, except she actually acts like a teenager and not an abusive asshole. She wants to prove to herself that she’s not some “loser nobody” and can actually do magic and make friends with other teens her age.

Quality Time With...

Loona

Spending time with Loona would include...

Lots of back and forth teasing. If you're not into that kind of thing, instead y'all will end up dishing about the people you both don't like. (loona probably complains about Moxxie a lot of the time)

Taking night walks (through the relatively safer areas of hell). Loona is confident in her ability to fight off anyone who bothers y'all. I would imagine Blitzø probably texts her a lot to check in with you both. Just in case

Couch time!! Y'all absolutely hog the couch for movie marathons, show binging, cuddling and listening to music. I've mentioned this before, but Blitzø may occasionally join you for movie marathons to bond with you both! However, if you want space, you'll move to Loona's room (or your place).

Heading to the parties Vortex invites y'all to! Whenever you go to a social gathering, you may have to act as a social buffer for Loona. If you're also introverted or don't like parties, at least you and Loona can stand in a corner together and people watch/enjoy the party ambiance. If you'r more extroverted, Loona follows you around the party. It's that meme of the introvert hiding behind the extrovert yk what I mean?

Rooftop stargazing!! Rooftop stargazing!!! Bring your drinks, blankets, and snacks because y'all will be up there a while. Also be aware Loona will smoke her cigarettes, but won't pressure you to take drags or anything. She's also careful to blow the smoke away from you so you're not inhaling it. You could stay up there for hours. It becomes a regular thing to meet each other on the roof after a long day, because at least once the day is over, you can bask in the night together.

I wouldn't be surprised if Loona was into mobile games. It's a way to tune out the daily bullshit. So maybe, y'all can play together! Whether it's having a joint account, or Loona invites you so you can trade materials or battle to see who has stronger characters. Also trying to beat each other's high scores. You're the only person Loona can be competitive with, without feeling threatened or belittled.

Quality time with Loona is surprisingly relaxing and lowkey. There's an intimate kind of understanding that makes her feel the safest she's ever been. Loona hopes she can make you feel the same.
